I like to listen to a variety of commentary and I have been listening to this. The interviewer isn't my favorite person, but I appreciate this interview. If you don't have an hour plus to watch this here's the TLDW version.

The woman on the right is a SAHM she and her husband have 2 kids. As you can see in the title the husband brings in $50k. Here's what stood out to me:

Her husband is an artist and does not have any certifications nor does he have a degree or a blue collar job and they are not a military family

She is an occupational therapist by trade

Her and her husband decided she'd stay home and he'd provide

She does not spend on hair appointments, nails, spa days, and receives those products from an MLM she represents

Her and her husband rarely eat out or go on dates

They own a home after a nice family decided to give it to them under asking price

They don't raise their own food

They utilize a lot of free entertainment for their children such as parks, libraries and free events

Do to income restraints they receive Medicaid

Husband was injured from a job, but is able bodied

Do you live this lifestyle?

Could you be a stay home mom on this income? Why/Why Not?

Should women pursue being a "traditional" wife no matter the husband's income?

Today was a bit of a free-ish day.

My hubs had to go to the girls' dentist for a consultation about fixing their cavities. As such, my mom drove me to take the girls to school so that she could also drive me to the campus (since I have to be there eto sign into school everyday as a safety precaution) this allowed me.to avoid taking the bus for once.

On the wya to campus, I had to stop at the local library to drop some books I ntje depository to return them. I had to do the same on campus with all the books I borrowed to read over spring break.

Due to a family health emergency, Dr. B wasn't able to lecture my 930 or 1230 class. The suddenness of the emergency had her unable to a) prep an online lecture and b) unable to secure a sub for the classes. So, we were just able to have an excused absence. With Dr. E in Cali for a conference, her class was online today.

I still went to the campus to meet with my study group and revise for the upcoming exam in ECED 293.

Our online lecture for Dr. E's class (EDUC 202) was on Howard Gardener and his theory of multiple intelligences. After the lecture, we were all instructed to take a free online test to see which three intelligences were our strongest. We then had to write a reflection on our results for a grade.worth up to 15 points.

I went home on the next bus after I was done using the rented study room to complete my 202 work.

After school, as shown by the photos, the hubs and I took the girls to their first softball practice of the season. They did quite well considering it was their first time being with the team.

Spaghetti, slad, and garlic toast were for dinner as they offered enough carbs to replenish all the energy the girls lost during practice (thank you high school cross country team for that tip)

Been taking a bit of a hiatus from social media. Only hopping on maybe once every 3 - 4 weeks. I have to say I'm enjoying the reduced screen time and relaxation that comes with not being online all the time. It was peaceful to just be. Gonna start making it a new habit to take a step back more often and let myself just enjoy being, relaxing, and not posting 24/7. I like being on social media but sometimes this place is way too toxic and I believe everyone would benefit from a breather.

Il faut se ressaisir

C'est fou a quelle point ce déménagement m'a perturbé ! Seigneur, j'ai l'impression d'être submergé de choses a réglé... nous avons voulu agrandir notre lit, et passé d'un 140 a un 160... quelle erreur.... le lit que nous avons pris est trop haut... premier point dangereux pour notre fille... elle ne peux plus descendre du lit seule, ce qui a mon sens est un frein pour son autonomie, le lit la depasse...et c'est fou comme 20 cm font la différence au point de vue sécurité de la pièce... nous allons donc tout renvoyer, et repasser au 140... tant pis pour notre place de sommeil !

Point positif de ce déménagement, la buanderie, le balcon, la seconde chambre ( qui me servira de salle de musique) focalisons nous la dessus !

jehovah donne moi la force de m'occuper du reste de la maison, et de gérer ces soucis qui mettent le bazar dans mon cerveau de maman autiste ! Amen

I'm back after a little internet holiday. I've been revisiting old subjects on interest and have been trying to make more time for hobbies. It's been great fun! I'm about to embark on a sewing project as I've only really done hand sewn mends previously and now I'd like to start making my own things from scratch. My sister has lent me her old sewing machine so I'll need to get some fabric next before I start on a nightdress for my daughter.
