The BatKids as the Gotham Region Gym Leaders
Gym Leader Number One: Damien Wayne (The Dark Type Gym Leader)
Damien as a Gym Leader: As the youngest of the Wayne kids I see Bruce wanting to keep a close eye on Damien in case he gives other trainers any difficulties. While he keeps a threatening aura to him, he also has a bratty side that can almost rival Whitney’s. Bruce keeps an eye out for him in case he doesn’t want to hand over a badge when he’s been defeated (or even refuses to battles them when he doesn’t deem the opponent worthy of his team’s effort), and most importantly he doesn’t want Damien or his team to burn out too quickly by overdoing their training.
Gym Set Up: Damien being raised by the league of assassins would cause for him to take a more ninja like approach to the Gym’s set up. When the trainers enter they’ll have to navigate through the dark via tunnels, but they’ll have to be careful because each tunnel either has a trainer or it leads you directly back to the entrance. You have to go by five different tunnels to make it to Damien, but as you pass each round the numbers as tunnels increases and trainers. If you’re battling Damien at the beginning the trainers will most likely have Poochyena, Nickit, and Purrlion. If you’re battling Damien somewhere along the middle his Gym Trainers will have a mix of Pawniard, Morgrem, Scrafty, and Cacturne. If Damien is of the last Gym Leaders you face the Trainer’s team consists of Umbreon, Sableye, Grimmsnarl, Sahrpedo, and Drapion.
Gym Team Roster (Early Journey Edition): If you challenge Damien early on your journey, his roster will consist of a well rounded team of three. Usually when a Gym Leader is challenged by a novice trainer their teams will consist of two early stage Pokémon, but since Damien is part of the bat family (and Wayne family for the public) he adds an extra member to even out his weaknesses and offense. His first Pokémon will be a tricky Sandile, followed by a sly Nuzleaf, and his final ace Pokémon is a ferocious Houndour that’s part of the lineage of the League of Assassin’s Houndoom line. When defeated Damien will hand you the TM for Torment.
Tumblr media
Gym Team Roster (Late Journey Edition): If Damien is one of your last opponents his team consists of hard hitting Pokémon. First on his team is Krookodile with Earthquake as a signature move, followed by Shiftry with Leaf Blade, Crawdaunt with Surf, Hydreigon with Dragon Rush, Houndoom with Fire Blast, and his ace this time is Tyranitar (who was given to him by Bruce as a Larvitar) with Rock Slide. Despite this attack not being any of his Pokémon’s signature move, if Damien is defeated he will hand you the TM for Payback.
Tumblr media
Vigilante Team: When Damien is out fighting crime at his father’s side, he’ll have a team of Noibat (given to him by Dick), Weavile (perfect for stealth operations), and a Greninja (who was on his Gym team at first, but was later moved to the vigilante team since it is faster and more agile).
Tumblr media
Civilian Party: Since Damien Wayne is Bruce Wayne’s son his Civilian team is graceful to fit Damien’s regal upbringing. He’s closest to the Houndoom that was given to him by Talia as a Houndour pup, but since joining his new family he acquired an Absol, a Zorua, an Umbreon, a Liepard, and surprisingly a Miltank (he chose to train one after hearing of a tough trainer from the Johto Region). Needless to say, because of Damien’s adoration for animals most of his teams consist of Pokémon of that nature, and he’s the second Wayne kid with the most Pokémon on his civilian team because of it.

Which of your own edits are your favourites?
Ooh, that's a hard one. My Phantump type changes were the most fun to do, but not the highest quality. My sprite edits were fun and I find them slightly easier than art edits, if only because I don't have to change filters. Fusions are nightmarish to do as proper edits, but I'm really proud of the way they came out. I have a soft spot for my Lovecore edits, and I started on lava lamp eeveelutions which I think came out decently. Uh.... long answer short, I'm a narcissist-all of the above. I generally really like anything that gets me some comments, they make me happy to read.
- Mod Paragon
----
See, this is tough for me. Most of my edits lately have been unrecognizable from their sprite donors, which I feel isn’t quite a traditional edit for this blog. I’ve got one hell of a Fakemon collection, though.
Besides that, probably all of my recent Type Swaps. I did a Bug-Type Larvitar Line I’m super proud of, and I’ve got a Beldum Line edit coming down the pipeline as part of the Titan Batch.
- Dragonis
----
I like the pastel edits I've done, but pretty much if it has more comments it becomes my favourite XD hell even stuff like "I hate this" and stuff on the cursed edits make my day -Decima
----
I haven’t posted a lot of them here, but I do have some edits called “Named Edits” - basically, they’re recolors with special little names to them, like an ube-colored Tapu Koko called “Electric Scourge”, or a blue Slakoth called “Delta Wave”. My favorite of those, I think, is a wine-red Kirlia I call “Dell’alta”, or the monochrome Primarina I posted - that one’s called “Aquatic Love”.  - Vice
----
Pretty much same as Paragon and Decima, I can't choose just a few between them all so I'm just going to say pretty much all of them, (correction: most of them, there are I few I'm not proud of but since nobody has hated any of them aside from me fkggkfg). I will say I love the ones like the peeled Flareon or palette swap Minun/Plusle because the comments are like "thanks I hate it". -Gale

Pokemon Ash should catch in Pocket Monsters: Johto edition
For those that are new, I am doing a series of post where people can comment/reblog what Pokémon from a certain region the writers should give Ash during the Pocket Monsters saga, along with  my own suggestions.
I also want to apologize in advance to those who are reading theses as a lot of choice I will pick will have similar reason for its selection like it’s a type Ash doesn’t have or much of, it can evolve 2 more times, or it would make for an interesting story.
This time were going over Pokémon from the Johto region.
The first two Pokémon are obvious choices for Ash
The first is a Pupitar/Tyranitar as even without the trailer that launched to theories, it would be a perfect Pokémon for Ash because of how it’s a popular Pokémon from that region and its a rock/ground type or ground/dark as Tyranitar. Also like everyone is saying, it can lead to an interesting episode as the writers could make the Pupitar/Tyranitar Ash catches be the same Larvitar he traveled with in Johto, something the Gengar episode should have been about.
Dunsparce is the second choice as Ash has shown interesting in catching one on multiple occasions throughout the series. Sure it’s not that great of a Pokémon but it would be nice to see Ash finally catch one. It could be another Pokémon that doesn’t battle much but catches it after bonding with it and keeps as a pet (or his mom does) and like his Phanphy, the writers can put it in the background and bring it back when it gets a new evolution or z move later on in this generation or Gen 9.
If Ash does get an Eevee then Umbreon would be a good choice for its evolution since it’s a dark type but also cause many of Ash’s biggest rivals have had one, so it be cool to see him own one.
Same with Slowking as its more popular then a Slowbro.
Sneasel and Pilowine would also be interesting choices. Not only are they both dual type Pokémon with types that Ash doesn’t have much of but they're also not cute or that amazing looking, something I’ve notice Ash or other main protagonist don't have much of. Plus since they have evolutions introduced in Gen 4 they’d be easy to get in other games.
In my “changes for Pokémon” list I posted the idea of Ash getting another electric type Pokémon, and Mareep (or a Pokemon in its evolution line) and Elekid are some good suggestions for this for various reasons like they both can evolve two more times, Mareep can evolve two more times by leveling up and has an interesting mega evolution, and Elekid and its evolutions can be found in other generation of games and is more iconic.
I also think the writers should make Ash’s Bayleef or Quilava evolve into there final evolution. With the exception of his Unova starters, none of Ash’s Johto Pokémon have evolved into there final form, which when you think about it is kinda odd given every other saga has one of his starters fully evolved. If I had to choose I think Ash should get a Typhlosion not only because it is more interesting and that he has more fully evolved fire Pokémon but it would be great for Quilava’s personality as compared to his other Johto starters I don’t really remember much about him besides how he had trouble igniting his fire and his surprise evolution in Sinnoh followed by how he learned a flying type move during its time at Oaks.
What Johto Pokémon do you want Ash to have ?

Pupitar and Shelgon have always fascinated me, because they're cocoon stages for Pokémon that aren't insectoid at all, but draconic. You'd think that if any draconic Pokémon would have a cocoon stage it'd be Flygon, the actual insectoid dragon. Why do you think Tyranitar and Salamence have to go through cocoon stages? And why not Dragonite, Hydreigon, or Goodra?
Hard to say, and to be honest I suspect the answer is just that the designers want to keep us guessing (it’s kind of just an interesting idea in itself; I’m sort of fine with it if it doesn’t come from anywhere).  I had another question one time that touches on something similar, with regard to the Bug Pokémon that either have or don’t have cocoon stages, and there my attempt at an answer was that the ones with cocoon stages are the ones that evolve the fastest, and therefore need a form that is solely devoted to hoarding energy, but that doesn’t really help us with these ones.  I can tell you that we don’t really need Flygon to have a cocoon stage, because although Flygon is loosely insectoid, she seems like she’s specifically a dragonfly, and dragonflies don’t have pupae; they start out as small, wingless dragonflies (“nymphs”) and shed their skins a couple of times to grow into full-sized winged dragonflies.
I have no idea what inspired Shelgon’s stone pumpkin appearance, and I don’t think anyone else does either; I even went to Shelgon’s page on ポケモンWiki, the Japanese equivalent of Bulbapedia, and fed it through Google Translate to make absolutely sure they didn’t have any secret insights that the rest of us were missing (and when I start putting Japanese text into Google Translate you know I’m desperate, because Google Translate is appalling at Japanese).  I half want to say that Shelgon was actually inspired by Pupitar, but even that just kicks the problem further back.  Pupitar’s hard to make sense of too, because Tyranitar isn’t really draconic exactly, he’s more Tyrannosaurus-by-way-of-Godzilla, and although there are some Kaiju with larval and pupal forms, Godzilla isn’t one of them.  I’m beginning to think that the designers just didn’t have any satisfying ideas for more predictable-feeling middle stages for Bagon and Larvitar, so they just decided to do something offbeat and quirky - which is fine by me.
EDIT: randomaccess64 adds: “Maybe the larvitar line is a reference to kaijus in general, and put a pupa stage in there just to get some mothra inspiration in there.”Which makes as much damn sense as anything else I can come up with.
