Why is your batbro gay..?
Is there any one-shot where he is straight?
First off, Batbro is ✨PANSEXUAL✨. If you’re gonna question his sexuality, get it right.
Secondly, he’s pansexual because I say he is.
Thirdly, no, there isn’t any fic where he isn’t an absolute flaming homo ready to jump the bones of any hot man, woman, and everyone in between.
And last but not least,
If you don’t like it…stay mad, IDC, Batbro’s great the way he is, look at him. Perfection.
Tumblr media
And just for the record, all my MC’s, OC’s and other creations are all LGBTQ+. That includes but doesn’t limit Batmom, Batsis, Bataunt, Batdad, Lanternsis, Flashsis, etc.

Guy nudged Kyle in the ribs one night when they were sitting around a table in a bar. “Wanna see something funny?”
Kyle gazed warily at him. “I’m scared to say yes but too curious to say no.”
“It’s not bad,” he joked, “Just funny as hell.”
“Okay…what is it?”
Guy pulled out his smartphone, fumbling through the apps until he got to the music app, then he clicked on a song and lifted his phone for Kyle to see. “The two of them,” he said, nodding his head at the two siblings dancing together with big grins on their faces. “were pilots. Now, he’s in Chair Force and she was in the Navy, but if there’s one thing that unites pilots more than flying is Top Gun.”
“And they both have Danger Zone as their ringtones.” He clicked the button. “Watch this.”
Highway to the Danger Zone. Gonna take it right into the Danger Zone. Highway to the Danger Zone. Ride into, the Danger Zone~
The two siblings immediately looked down, clacking their foreheads together, and they fell backwards, landing on the floor in a heap, nursing sore tailbones and skulls. A bubble of laughter escaped Kyle and when the two pilots heard it, they glared at him, which only served to make him laugh harder, Guy joining in.
“STOP DOING THAT!” the two of them howled.
Guy grinned at them. “I will when you two jet jockeys change your ringtone to something less obvious.”
Hal harrumphed. “Well, I’m older, so she has to change her ringtone.”
Her eyes widened and she retorted, “Excuse you, I’m the better pilot. You change it.”
“Did you just say you were the better flyer? I think not.”
“You don’t think at all!”
Kyle sighed as his girlfriend got into with her brother. “Nice going, Guy. Now they’re gonna go find an airfield and race.”
Guy waved the bartender over. “More drinks then!”

The Four Corpsmen And Their Cheerleader
Lanternsis x Lanternfamily One-Shot
Word Count: 1.3K Warnings: Explicit Language
Author's Note: I am obsessed with the Blue Lanterns you guys. Like they're legit my favorites. And since blue and green rings work best with one another...here's a story of that happening! Enjoy! -Thorne
**********************************************************************
The guys were at their wits end against the troop of Yellow Lanterns; which wasn’t a common occurrence—being at their wits end that is, Yellow Lantern attacks were actually fairly common. Kyle winced as another barrage of yellow energy blasts hit the construct he’d formed; the eyes of the other two Lanterns turned to him.
“You good, Kyle?” Guy asked, pressing his own hand to the construct to pour power into it.
He nodded, though the strain was evident on his face. “Yeah, I’m good.” He shut his eyes and forced another surge of power into the construct, keeping it up and around them. “Have a plan yet, John?”
Their leader shot a quick glance from the side. “Hal’s keeping them busy at the moment, but his fly-boy distractions are only going to last for so long.” He looked at them. “We need to—”
“Coming in hot!” They all looked towards their rings at the voice and then Hal darted over the side, grunting when a yellow flash shot him in the side. He sunk down the construct wall. “Okay,” he breathed out in shock. “New plan because distraction’s gone out the window as of now.” He glanced at Guy. “Kick their asses?”
Guy snorted, cracking his fists. “Thought you’d never ask, Jordan.” His green eyes fell on John. “Any big speeches before we go in?”
John merely grinned but before he could speak, a scream pierced from behind the construct wall, and everyone shot each other confused glances because no one had moved or formed a new construct besides the wall guarding them. Kyle warned them as he dropped the barrier and they all saw a blue figure darting between the yellow suited Lanterns.
A nova of aqua shot out from the mysterious person as they flew towards them and they rose, the blue cape billowing around them as they cheekily grinned, “I thought we agreed that the four corpsmen needed a cheerleader?”
Hal matched their smirk. “(Y/N)! What are you doing here!”
She merely raised her hand and cool aura surrounded them as their rings recharged, powers surging to the highest levels without overpowering them. “Well, it seems I’m bailing my big brother and his best friends out of trouble.” (Y/N) turned and raised her hands, surrounding her own body with an aura. “Leave now or face the four corpsmen and a Blue Lantern!”
The fear-wielders practically hissed at her, and she tipped her chin up. “Corpsmen! To me!”
“We’ve so gotta talk about you thinking you’re bigger than us,” Kyle griped, even as he flew to her right just as she’d ordered; she snorted as Hal took her left, Guy and John on either side of the other two men.
“Please, I don’t think, Kyle.” She winked at him. “I hope.” Reaching down, she took Kyle and Hal’s hands. “Mind if I borrow some power?”
They merely smiled in return, and she shut her eyes, drawing deep from the well of hope inside her. She let the power flow evenly between the men holding her hands who in turn took Guy and John’s hands, letting the power even between the five of them.
“In fearful day, in raging night, with strong hearts full, our souls ignite…” The Green Lanterns beside her joined in on the oath, all speaking in unison, mighty and powerful. “When all seems lost in the War of Light, look to the stars—” (Y/N) opened her eyes and they glowed a beautiful blue. “For hope burns bright!”
The cosmos seemed to still as the power exploded from their bodies, and they watched as strong green and blue arcs echoed outwards. The Yellow Lanterns across the expanse of space screamed as the waves hit them and soon, they were turning around and fleeing.
Satisfied that their enemy had been defeated, she let go of their hands and rose a few feet up and away from them, a mile-long grin on her face. “Now that that’s over with…how about we go back to Coast City and hit a bar?”
Each of them smiled and nodded at the idea, when suddenly Kyle pointed. “(Y/N) look out!”
She barely had time to spin around when the space around her warped and a Yellow Lantern came into sight. A gasp escaped her as they thrust out the construct blade in their hand into her gut and she bent forward. The men around her shouted and instantly the enemy was being yanked off her, probably being pummeled into a pulp, but all she was concerned about was the fizzling blade that disappeared from her gut.
Someone put their hand against her stomach, and she collapsed into their arms, realizing it was Kyle. “Hey, I’ve got you,” he worried, pressing tight to her abdomen. “You’re going to be okay, (Y/N).”
“Don’t get blood on your suit,” she joked, and he frowned at her, concentrating hard to heal the wound.
“Don’t make me laugh right now. This is serious.” He gazed into her eyes, whispering, “I can’t lose you.”
(Y/N) took his hand and forced him to look into her eyes. “Kyle Rayner, you needn’t be afraid when I’m here. Even if I’m wounded.” She smiled and leaned forward, pressing her forehead to his. “Fear is merely the belief of imminent demise.” She shut her eyes and exhaled, the pulsing blue aura coming again as they held each other. “Hope, however, is the belief of imminent success. And I will always believe that.”
The aura was blinding and even the other men had to shield their eyes as it grew brighter and brighter, lasting for what seemed like forever, then it faded and (Y/N) stood before them, healed, as if she’d never experienced the wound—though her suit was new.
A deep blue, off the shoulder, long-sleeved dress/leotard that parted down the middle of her chest and back, turning sheer as it flowed down at her hips. Her gloves had morphed too, now a silver ring around her middle as the white sleeve stretched up her arm; her boots differed too, no longer closed around her feet. Instead, a silver ring was around her second toe, sapphires on the silver chain that wrapped around her ankle and calves. Her head was adorned with a silver and sapphire diadem, and around her neck was a silver band, and in the center was the symbol for the Blue Lanterns, growing bright as the day she received her ring.
(Y/N) opened her eyes and smiled, holding out her hand to Kyle. “Beloved.”
He matched her smile and pulled her into a hug, lifting her in the air—well, the space around them—and breathed, “(Y/N), you look like a goddess.”
“I’m your goddess,” she murmured, placing her hands on his shoulders.
They seemed to be lost in their own little world of love and devotion, and Guy blinked, looking over at John. “It’s so sweet, I almost don’t want to warn them that Hal here is about to blow his afterburner.” John cracked a toothy grin as Hal exploded in anger.
“CAN SOMEONE PLEASE EXPLAIN TO ME WHAT THE FUCK I’M LOOKING AT! BECAUSE IF IT’S ONE OF MY BEST FRIENDS AND MY PRECIOUS BABY SISTER I’M LEGITIMATELY GOING TO COMMIT MURDER! QUIT FUCKING LAUGHING GUY! IT’S NOT FUCKING FUNNY, YOU DICK! WAIT! DID YOU FUCKING KNOW ABOUT THIS!”
John rested his hand on Hal’s shoulder. “Hal…everyone knows about Kyle and (Y/N).”
“WHAT?!”
“Yeah, why do you think the two of them always ‘patrol’ together?” Guy asked.
“WELL, I DON’T KNOW! MAYBE BECAUSE OUR RINGS WORK BEST IN THE PRESENCE OF A BLUE RING, GUY! AND MAYBE I JUST ASSUMED THEY WERE SUPPORTING AND ENCOURAGING EACH OTHER!”
Guy snorted. “Yeah, ‘encouraging’. More like fuck—”
“SHUT THE FUCK UP! KYLE YOU’RE DEAD!”

It's Friday already?!
Here's an idea! how about person A punches some douchebag right in the face and since it was highly unexpected of them, Person B is left utterly speechless and terrified. (With any of the batboys you want to choose 😁)
His girlfriend was the epitome of pacifism. Which in turn made it awfully surprising that someone as akin to violence as he was, was the man she wanted to be with, but he did have to give her some credit—he found himself turning the other cheek a lot more when it came to minor occurrences. Usually, he’d break their noses and tell them to fuck off.
That being said, watching her lay some douche-bag flat in the middle of a crowded bar after she watched them grab a waitress’ ass, was something he never expected to see.
He blinked as she sat down and picked up the menu, looking through it as if she’d not just KO’d someone in one hit. “Uh…babe?”
She met his gaze, smiling up to her eyes. “Yes Jason?”
“How’d you…how’d you do that?”
“Please,” she coolly brushed off. “I’m the baby of the Jordan family, and the only girl.” Winking, she added, “I may not like violence, but that doesn’t mean I wasn’t taught to hold my own.”
Jason suddenly felt hot all over, and he stood, throwing a fifty on the table before dragging her from the booth. “We gotta go home now.”

DC Character Insert Guide!
So, I got my second Covid shot yesterday and while I didn’t feel much of the effects then, I’m feeling them today, and I don’t want to write any fics because it’s too much effort and everything in my body hurts.
Instead, I decided to compile a list of all the character inserts I do, just so everyone can have a bit of a better background to them. Let’s start with the Batfamily, then we’ll move to the Superfamily, then Flashfamily, and finally the Lanternfamily.
-Thorne
So, within the Batfamily inserts there are four insert characters: Batmom (Bruce’s wife and mother of the Batfamily), Bat-Aunt (Bruce’s sister), Batsis (Bruce’s daughter, and Batbrother (Bruce’s son).
1. Batmom (Bruce’s wife and mother of the Batfamily) is a model by day and support at night. She stopped being a vigilante after Dick and Bruce’s falling out, preferring to stay at home and focus on raising Jason whilst caring for the family. She was born in Blüdhaven but grew up in Gotham City, eventually getting a job at WE where she quickly worked her way to the position of Bruce’s secretary where she became a valued member of his personal circle.
2. Bat-Aunt (Bruce’s sister) is a billionaire, playgirl, philanthropist by day and depending on which pairing I’m using, she’s either a vigilante by night or support for the Batfamily (non-vigilante). She’s Bruce’s younger sister and no one’s really sure if they’re related by blood but apparently one night, the two siblings sat down to test DNA, received the answers, and never spoke of them again. They’ve been together since they were in diapers—they’re siblings through and through. She is close with Ghost-Maker and Barry Allen.
3. Batsis (Bruce’s daughter) is a writer by day and a spy-network running vigilante by night. She is the oldest sibling of the Batsiblings and takes it upon herself to keep everyone in check when they need it. Because she’s older than most of the sidekicks every major superhero has, she’s not friends like Dick is with his group, so she tends to help out with the JL more. She was born and raised in Gotham City, showing up at Bruce’s doorstep at six years old. She is close with Wally West and Kyle Rayner.
4. Batbrother (Bruce’s son) is a black ops squad leader, designation SPECTRES, who runs missions all over the world that take out terrorist organizations, human trafficking rings, etc. He is the eldest sibling of the Batsiblings, and is typically compared to being a second Bruce, but a much laxer Bruce. He was born in Gotham, but his mother passed during birth, and he was raised in the mountains of Virginia by his maternal grandfather until he was thirteen. During the time, he was taught how to live off the land—which is important because it helps him during the Super Soldier Program. He traveled to Gotham City to Wayne Manor and told Bruce he was his son. After DNA testing, it was proven true. When he’s not on a mission, he’s usually at Wayne Manor bugging the crap out of his family. He is a sexual assault survivor during his time in the military and he advocates for other survivors and also runs personal missions (without his team) to bring justice to those who didn’t receive any. He is close with Kyle Rayner and his younger brother Jason Todd.
Within the Superfamily there are two reader inserts and those are Super-Aunt (Clark’s sister) and Supersis (Clark’s daughter).
1. Super-Aunt (Clark’s sister) is the world’s Superwoman. She lives in Gotham City working for Bruce, so she is technically apart of the Batfamily. She was not raised by the Kents with Clark, as their pods hit one another in the atmosphere and shot off to different locations, hers in Jacksonville, Florida. She and Clark met during a Daily Planet trip to Wayne Enterprises. She is close with Bruce Wayne and Ted Kord—and Booster Gold because you can’t have Blue Beetle without Booster Gold.
2. Supersis (Clark’s daughter) is the world’s Superwoman. She is not Lois Lane’s daughter but considers the woman her mother. She fights with the Young Justice team and when she’s not fighting with them, she’s either at her family home or at Gotham University taking classes. She is close with Tim Drake, Bart Allen, and Jason Todd.
In the Flashfamily there are two reader inserts, and they are Flash-Aunt (Barry’s sister) and Flash-daughter (Barry’s daughter).
1. Flash-Aunt (Barry’s sister) is a Flash like Barry and serves in the Central City Police Department with her brother, but while Barry is a forensic scientist, she is a detective, working their cases so that the two siblings are always on them together—they’re currently gunning for the most solved cases award. She is not the child of Nora Allen, but instead of Henry Allen during the time that he and Nora were getting divorced. When she was born, the mother gave her to Darryl Frye and she and Barry were raised together. She is close with Hal Jordan and Bruce Wayne.
2. Flash-Daughter (Barry’s daughter) was recently introduced with the fic “If We Were Fast Enough”. She is the daughter of Barry Allen in a world where the old Justice League has retired, and their successors have taken up the mantles. Unfortunately, global devastation occurred which was a result of nuclear warfare between countries. During the all-out war on the ruined landscape, she watched every JL member fall along with every Flash. She witnessed the deaths and took their speed (she did not kill them, but merely took their speed to keep it out of the hands of the enemy), making her faster than every speedster. Within the final moments of her world, she harnessed Barry Allen’s speed before he died, making her the fastest speedster alive, even faster than Wally West (just by an inch), and escaped the imploding of her world by traveling to another timeline. After a year, she broke down and told Barry the truth, but he accepted her as his daughter regardless. She works in CCPD as a forensic scientist and is the Lightning Flash when she isn’t working. She is older than most of the sidekicks, around her late twenties, but is close with Jason Todd and Kyle Rayner.
Last but not least, there are two inserts in the Lanternfamily, and they are Lanternsis (Hal’s sister) and Lantern-Daughter (Hal’s daughter).
1. Lanternsis (Hal’s sister) is the daughter of Jessica Jordan but not Martin Jordan. She was born a few years after Martin died, her father isn’t known, and was raised in the family. Because Hal was so determined to join the Air Force and fly, he wasn’t around much as she was growing up, but seeing that no one in the family wanted to talk to Hal, especially her mother and oldest brother, she took it upon herself to have a relationship with him, calling him whenever she could, seeing him when she could. They became very close when she expressed that she herself wanted to join the Navy and become a pilot. Hal taught her everything he knew about flying and she excelled in the Naval flight programs, even at the expense of her relationship with Jessica. When her mother died, she chose an honorable discharge from the military and started working at Ferris Aircraft with Hal. Sometime during Hal’s breakdown as Green Lantern and the destruction of Coast City, the Blue Lantern Power Ring found her, and she became the Blue Lantern of Earth for her undying hope that she and the ones she loved most would be okay. She is close with Barry Allen and the Four Corpsmen.
2. Lantern-Daughter (Hal’s daughter) was introduced with the fic “When The Music’s Not Forgotten”. She is Hal’s daughter, mother is unknown, and currently lives with him in Coast City. She works at a Wayne Enterprises branch in Coast where she met with Jason Todd and started training unbeknownst to her father. During a fight when the truth was revealed, she and Hal had a falling out where she returned home and was met by Sinestro who invited her to join the Sinestro Corps. She agreed and became a Yellow Lantern. All is not lost though; she eventually becomes another Lantern type. She is close with Jason Todd, Wally West, and the Four Corpsmen.

The Four Corpsmen And Their Cheerleader PT. 3
Lanternfamily x Lanternsis
Word Count: 900 Warnings: Explicit Language
Author's Note: First meetings! Are always! Fun! Enjoy! -Thorne
**********************************************************************
“Hal, you’re one crazy sonovabitch,” Guy muttered as he steadied the bloody and bruised pilot. “Only your crazy ass would barrel headfirst into something that dangerous.”
“Look who’s talking Mister I-Talk-By-Punching.” Hal’s chuckle dissolved into a groan as he held his side. “Christ, I think I broke a few ribs.”
“You deserve to have broken a few ribs,” John chastised, taking the pilot underneath the other arm; Guy and he walked Hal to the ship where Kyle was waiting. “You almost got yourself killed just now.”
Hal rolled his eyes. “I had it under control.”
“No.” the two Corpsmen blurted in unison, tugging him onto the ship and to the med bay.
***
“Leave me in the med bay while you guys come and gossip.” A voice complained. “What’d I miss?”
They all turned to the entryway of the bridge, scowling as Hal hobbled in, an arm slung across his chest; Kyle frowned. “Hal, you shouldn’t be up, man.”
Hal waved it off with his free hand. “I’m fine. Had worse.”
Guy blinked then looked at John. “Does it ever annoy you how pigheaded he is?”
“He’s a jet jockey,” John retorted, turning back to the expanse of space outside the glass observation window. “They’re historically stubborn.”
“Oh, and warthogs aren’t? There’s like seven wars begging to differ.” Hal griped, nudging himself between Kyle and John. “Guys, seriously. I’m fine.”
Kyle shook his head. “You got swallowed by a giant space monster and then blew yourself out of it.” He observed the pilot. “You’re lucky to have only escaped with a few broken ribs and a dislocated shoulder.”
Hal rolled his eyes. “Okay, moms, I’m fine. Really. I feel great.”
“That’s the hydrocodone talking,” Guy ribbed, nudging John in the side and the two of them broke into chuckles when the pilot frowned.
A fond smile came across Kyle’s face, and he happened to look out the glass window, smile dropping as a bright blue light appeared in the distance and only getting closer and closer. “Uh…guys?” they turned their attention to them and he nodded at the anomaly. “What’s that?”
Immediately their heads swiveled to the window and Hal’s face blanched. “Oh no.”
Before Kyle could ask the blue light phased through the glass and barreled into the pilot. They collapsed to the floor and when the light disappeared, Kyle saw a young woman atop Hal, his free arm pinned behind his back, as she shouted, “Are you some kind of idiot! I get a call from John, and he tells me you’ve played kamikaze again!” she yanked his arm up his back.
Hal cried out in pain. “Uncle!”
Kyle had never seen the man give up a fight so fast. In fact, he’d never seen Hal give up in a fight at all—that was the whole deal about Hal; he didn’t know howto give up.
The woman scowled and let him up, and when Hal climbed to his feet, she suddenly kicked a leg up between his legs and every man’s hands went to their crotch as Hal dropped to his knees and into the fetal position.
“You stupid moron,” she griped. “How many times have I told you to stop acting like you’re immortal.”
Hal’s only reply was a groan and he rolled over. “I had it under control.”
“Do I need to crotch-shot you again?”
“Alright! I’m sorry!” he cried. “Uncle! I bend the knee! I give! I raise the white flag!”
She cocked a brow and glared at him for a moment, then she glanced at John. “Thanks for calling me.” Turning her attention back to Hal, she warned, “Let me get another call from Johnnie like that again, and I’ll plant my blue foot so far up your green ass, the next time you go to the dentist, they’ll pick my toes from between your teeth. You hear me, big brother?”
Hal nodded. “Affirmative Princess.”
Seemingly satisfied, she turned to John and Guy, the angered expression giving way to a joyful one as she pulled them into tight hugs and pressed kisses to their cheeks. She pulled away and looked at Kyle, then pulled him in for a hug and planted a kiss on his cheekbone.
“Good to finally meet you, Kyle. Wish it had been under better circumstances.” The blue power ring on her finger beeped and she looked down at it. “That’s Saint Walker. Gotta fly.” Winking at the others, she rose in a blue glow and phased out of the ship’s window, disappearing in a streak of turquoise.
Kyle was so lost. “What just happened?”
Guy barked a laugh and slung his arm around the younger man’s neck. “That, Kyle, was (Y/N) Jordan, Hal’s younger sister and apparently, the only woman who has his balls in her purse.”
John snorted and Hal griped from the floor, “I’m not afraid of her.”
“Uh huh, sure you’re not, Jordan,” Guy countered. “You only gave in faster this time.” He looked at Kyle, face splitting into a grin as he said, “Oh…what’s this? Are you blushing Rayner? Are you enamored by (Y/N)’s beautiful blueness? Blue Lanterns have that effect on us Green Lanterns.”
Hal’s head cocked up and he pointed at Kyle. “Stay the fuck away from my sister.”
“I didn’t do anything!” Kyle blurted out. “And I’m not blushing!”
John and Guy looked at one another and agreed, “He’s in love.”

For FFF I think “what a bunch of idiots...wait a minute, those are my idiots” would be fun
"What a bunch of idiots...wait a minute, those are my idiots." Idiots will be idiots if left unattended by the brain cell
***
“Hey, look at these guys on the TV screen!” The entire Justice League spun to face the screen, eyes narrowing on the four men in green suits fighting some type of alien.
Recognizing the suits, she put her hands on her hips, snorting, “What a bunch of idiot Green Lanterns.” A flash of green shot out from one of the man’s hands and her humored expression dropped. “Wait a minute…” Shoving Barry out of the way, she got up close to the screen and registered that it was her brother and her friends, gasping, “Oh my God…those are my idiot Green Lanterns.”
Turning on her heel, she sprinted for one of the Zeta Tubes, her blue suit flashing to life. “Oh my God, those are my idiot Green Lanterns in New York. My idiot Green Lanterns are in New York fighting some alien. Oh my God!”
Clark turned to Bruce. “Think we should help her round Hal and his posse up?”
“No.”
He chuckled. “Thought so.”

Found family with the lanternfam? Four dudes and a kid? It can be angst it can be fluff.
FOUND FAMILY IS FOUR GUYS AND AN ALIEN CHILD WHO DOESN'T SPEAK ENGLISH.
**********************************************************************
Hal knelt before the young child, eyes kind as he asked softly, “Hey kid, you think you can show me where my friends are?” he smiled. “I need to find them. It’s really important.”
They blinked their eyes, big and wide, then reached out and took his white gloved hand. “Bo naal zu’u,” they said and led him down a winding path, sheltered by vibrant and glowing flowers.
Their fingers were cold, much like their skin, a pale blue and had bioluminescent white and blue marks along their arms and legs; their body was clothed in leather garment, something he’d only seen cave people wearing in museums, adorned with thick black leather strips holding sharpened bones.
The night sky above them shone with billions of twinkling stars, only compared in beauty to the phosphorescent plants around them. Hal and the others had crashed landed on the planet after an anomaly was found; something in the atmosphere had siphoned the energy from their rings, causing them all to disperse as the static shock echoed outwards. Hal had ended up by some red lake and knowing it probably wasn’t water, decided to avoid it.
He’d wandered all day trying to find one of the other Corpsmen but to no avail; and he’d narrowly avoided being attacked by any wildlife in the thick and dense forest. He’d seen the kid watching him for a while and knowing that they probably had some idea of where Kyle, Guy, and John were, he decided to talk to them.
Surprisingly, they’d offered food and water, which he was wary to take, but too hungry and thirsty to care. Hal was glad he did because the taste made him feel like he was a dying man at a feast. Once he’d finished, he tried to speak to them, but they only cocked their head back and forth, white brows furrowing as he spoke, and yet, it seemed like they understood.
“Where are you leading me?” he whispered and they turned their head, gazing at him.
“Hofkiin,” they said, and Hal shook his head.
“I don’t understand what that means, kid.”
They frowned, looking at their feet. “Zu’u los drun hi wah dii hofkiin.” Shaking their head, they tugged his hand again. “Hin fahdon los til.”
Hal sighed, realizing he wasn’t going to understand them no matter what and resigned himself to being led around by a glowing blue alien speaking another language.
***
After an hour of walking, they came upon a cave and they kid stopped, pointing to it. “Hin fahdon los ko.”
Hal blinked, looking down at them. “Inside? Go inside?”
They nodded and he inhaled deeply, stilling himself as he pulled away the thick brush and crouched, crawling underneath. Immediately he was greeted by the warmth of a fire and someone yelling, “HAL!”
His eyes widened as he was bearhugged by Guy, the man’s shout awakening the two sleeping Green Lanterns under animal hides, who scrambled up and into the hug as well.
Hal was never so glad to see all his friends more than that moment and he looked behind him at the small alien child crawling inside. “Thank you.”
They smiled and hurried over, climbing up the back of his legs and torso to wrap their arms around everyone’s heads. “Mu los brod!” they shouted cheerfully, and Hal cracked a grin, looking at the guys.
“How’d you guys get here?” Hal asked as they pulled away.
John nodded at the alien sliding down Hal’s back, tugging Kyle over to a wall covered in drawings. “Kid found us all and brought us here one by one.”
“Can’t understand shit they’re saying though,” Guy remarked. “But it seems like they understand us.” His eyes went to Hal’s ring. “Have you got any juice left?”
Hal’s fingers twitched and he frowned. “No. Do you guys—”
“Holy crap!”
They all spun at Kyle’s exclamation, eyes widening when he picked up a Power Battery keyed into their rings.
“Is that a—”
Kyle looked at John. “A power battery? Uh, yeah it is.” He glanced at the alien. “Where’d you get this?”
The child blinked, then reached into its satchel, digging around for a moment before pulling something out and holding it to him. “Bormah lost nii aan lingrah bok vod.” They slipped the ring onto their finger and to everyone’s amazement, a green suit flowed over their leather dressed body. “Rok ofun nii wah zu’u.”
Everyone stood in shock and Hal breathed, “Oh my God, they’re a Green Lantern.”
***
With their rings charged, they were ready to depart the planet and give their reports once they got back to Oa, but it all seemed heavy for the young one as they gripped Kyle’s leg and refused to let go, only shouting, “Mu los brod! Hi nis bo nol zu’u!”
Kyle looked at them for support, then bent down and patted their head. “Kid, we have to leave.”
They stared at him with teary eyes, taking his hand and showing him the ring before flashing their own. “Mu los brod!”
“The ring?” he asked, and they nodded, then gestured between them. “You and me? Us?” they nodded then pointed at Hal and the other two, then back to themselves. “All of us?”
“Mu los brod,” they said, gesturing in a circle between them, then clasping their hands together. “Brod.”
“Brothers?” Guy called out and they shook their head.
John frowned. “Maybe they mean the Corps? The Green Lanterns Corps? All of us belong to it?”
Another shake of their head and they did the gesturing again. “Mu los brod. Brod.”
Then it clicked and Hal said, “Family.”
The kid’s eyes went wide, and they pointed at him, shouting, “Geh! Geh! Mu los brod!”
“We’re family,” Hal repeated, then glanced at his ring. “That’s why they don’t want us to leave. We’re family through the rings.”
Kyle’s brows furrowed. “Well, what are we supposed to do? We can’t take them with us. This is their home. What about their family?”
The child shook their head. “Dii brod lost oblaan.” They thumbed the ring. “Zu’u bon aal hi.” Their green suit flashed to life, and they took Kyle’s hand, then took Hal’s and rose into the sky, the other two Green Lanterns hurrying to fly with them.
“Wait, are you coming with us?” Guy yelled and the kid nodded.
“Geh.”
Hal huffed a laugh. “I think that means yes, Guy.” He glanced at the others. “I guess we’ve got a kid now.”
“I’m not ready to be a parent though!” Kyle yelped and looked up at the kid. "I gotta be like your older brother! I'm not old enough to be a dad!"
The kid and the other guys merely laughed at Kyle's splutters.

Oh my gods, I loved Kyle and the little street rat! Street rat feels like a leash kid, I dunno why. Maybe Kyle introduces the kid to the other Green Lanterns? "Am I your favorite?" / "Give me 50 bucks and I'll think about it."
FOUND FAMILY! WE LOVE FOUR UNCLES ACTING LIKE DADS!
***
The kid liked early two-thousands dance music and wouldn’t eat anything but Dino nuggets and macaroni and cheese—but not any plain Kraft, boxed-macaroni and cheese. Nooooooo, Kyle had to boil noodles and mix up three different bags of cheeses for the kid to be satisfied.
At least the kid wasn’t biting anymore, and when he introduced them to the rest of the guys—which he’d completely forgot they were coming over—he was pleased to see that the kid wasn’t biting them either. That being said, the little shit was a manipulator that had his best friends wrapped around their little scrawny fingers within five minutes.
Guy leaned over, watching the kid tap at the tablet. “Am I your favorite uncle?”
“Gimme fifty bucks and I’ll think about it,” they muttered.
“What do you need fifty bucks for?”
“Chicken nuggets.”
Guy blinked. “Why don’t I just buy you all the chicken nuggets you want?”
The kid looked up at him with big eyes that made his heart cry. “Can I get a six piece?”
Guy sniffed, totally not crying as he responded, “I’ll freakin’ buy you a twenty-piece, kid.”
“Then you’re my favorite uncle,” the kid responded, resting their head on his bicep.

‘I’m sorry, I refuse to have a civil conversation with you while you’re butt naked in my kitchen’
"I'm sorry. I refuse to have a civil conversation with you while you're butt-naked in my kitchen."
***
“Yes Kyle, I know how much they cost.” She rolled her eyes as she pulled the keys from the door. “Hmm, I don’t know big brother, maybe because I’ve spent most of my life buying acrylic paint for you because you got banned from every major arts and crafts store in the New York area for overbuying?”
Listening to her brother howl through the phone, she walked into her kitchen and immediately froze at the sight of her boyfriend posing butt-naked on the island, the epitome of “Draw Me Like One Of Your French Girls”.
She blinked. “Kyle, I’m gonna have call you back later…a lot later.” Ignoring his cries, she hung the phone up and stared at him. “What the fuck are you doing?”
He smugly gestured to himself. “All work and no play makes dull boys, babe. And I’m a very dull boy.”
Inhaling deeply, she pressed her hands to her mouth. “Hal, I’m so sorry, but I refuse to have a civil conversation with you while you’re butt-naked in my kitchen.”
As she left, he scrambled off the island, chasing her. “Wait! At least tell me if all my glory turned you on! I know I am~”

“I got a question,” she said, nudging the man in the ribs.
Hal looked over at her. “What about?”
“Who are they?” she asked, and he followed her line of sight to the two men standing huddled together, pointing at a computer screen.
“Oh, Michael and Ted?”
“You see anyone else around, jackass? Yes, them. Who are they?”
Hal snorted. “You don’t know? Michael’s Booster Gold and Ted’s Blue Beetle.”
For a moment, she didn’t respond, then her face pinched and she muttered, “What the fuck is a ‘Booster Gold’?”

Could you do "thank you for choosing me to be your dad." And "thank you for being my dad."
"Thank you for choosing me to be your dad."/"Thank you for being my dad." You know what I'm soft for? Hal Jordan being a good dad.
***
Hal was a failure when it came to his kid. He paraded around like he knew what it meant to be a good dad, showing off pictures of them, bragging about them—especially in front of Bruce, but the truth is, when Martin died, so did any future of Harold Jordan becoming a parent. Or at least a good dad.
It wasn’t like he was one hundred percent sure the kid was his own. They’d shown up on his doorstep one night with a letter from their mom, explaining they were the product of a one night stand he’d had years ago. A six-year-old kid, alone in the middle of Coast City, abandoned by their only parent they’d known.
He didn’t sleep a wink that night, calling everyone he knew about what you did with a kid. Barry had ended up coming over to help him. The kid loved his best friend. Took to Barry like a fish to water, even calling them Uncle Barry before the night was over and the two men had tucked them in on the couch, cuddled in blankets and speed run stuffed animals of all kinds.
Do you even know who the mother is, Hal?
No clue. All they left was the letter. I…Barry, what am I supposed to do? I can’t raise a kid.
I don’t think you have a choice, Hal. His friend had leveled him with a strong look. That kid needs you.
Turns out, Hal needed them too. They spent the first few months getting used to each other. Hal bought them everything he thought they needed, probably a little too much, but they never asked for anything. Sometimes they asked for hugs or kisses on their head; Hal couldn’t help but feel weak to those.
But that nagging came back after a year or so. He wasn’t there for them when they needed him. He tried to be. Tried to attend all the school performances and PTC’s. But the Corps needed him too and Hal was sure his kid spent more time in his neighbor’s house than they did in his.
One night, they came into his bedroom at two o’clock, and Hal only realized it because they’d woken him up when they’d pressed themselves to his back, pulling the covers up to their chest.
“You okay, kid?” Hal called them ‘kid’. It made him feel like his father.
“Yeah,” they murmured. “I had a bad dream.”
“What about?”
“You died somewhere up there in space.” Their hands tightened in his shirt. “You left me all alone…none of the other Lanterns wanted to look after me.”
That hurt him more than he ever wanted to admit it did. Guy, John, and Kyle loved his kid. Their were the honorary uncles and spent more time arguing which set of shoulders the kid got to sit on whenever they were around. They wanted to sit on Guy’s shoulders and hold John and Kyle’s hands. Hal had the pictures to prove it, and everyone had one.
Hal frowned and turned over, pulling them into his arms like his mom used to do when he crawled into her bed after his dad died. “I’m not going anywhere, kid,” he whispered, kissing their head. “I’ll never, ever, leave you alone. I promise.”
They stayed silent for a few moments and Hal thought they’d drifted off when they said, “You think you’re a bad dad, don’t you?”
He sighed. “I don’t think I’m a bad one…but I know I’m not a great one.”
The kid thought for a moment. “You’re a great one to me, dad.” They said, turning in his arms to hug him.
Hal’s eyes filled with tears, but he choked them back, hugging them tightly. “Thanks for choosing me to be your dad, kid.”
They smiled. “Thanks for being my dad, dad.”
Hal was many things—but he wasn’t a failed father.

Could you do 32 with Jason and LanternSis 💛💛
Okay, I know Top Chef doesn't have Gordon Ramsay but we can pretend
32. Cooking for each other and judging each other’s food like they’re on Top Chef

“You’re overcooking that meat, Glow-stick,” he noted.
She rolled her eyes. “Look, numb-nuts, I don’t like meat to bleed on my plate.” Glaring at him, she shot back, “And you’re one to talk because you’re burning the Alfredo sauce.”
“Am not,” Jason retorted, though he turned the knob on the over down.
“Are too.”
“Steak is supposed to be tender, not chewy. Well done is chewy, medium rare isn’t.”
“Who the fuck are you?” she asked, throwing her arms in the air. “Gordon Ramsay?!”
He cleared his throat, then mocked in an English accent, “THAT STEAK IS SO RUBBERY YOU COULD USE IT AS A FUCKING TIRE!”
She blinked, then tried to glare at him, but couldn’t help the smile on her lips as she grunted, “That was actually pretty funny.”

She laid her chin on his shoulder, watching for a moment as he sketched out another side to the building, writing tiny measurements that only made sense to John Stewart. “Whatcha drawin’ honey bear?”
He leaned into the hand she was brushing against his jaw. “Designing that house you wanted to make back on Oa.”
“Coming along nicely?”
“Mhm.”
“You didn’t forget the swimming pool, right?”
John froze beneath her, ever so slightly, the graphite of the pencil making a deep impression on the sketchpad. “What swimming pool?”
“The swimming pool I mentioned,” she explained. “C’mon honey bear, I grew up in Coast City. You know that place isn’t called Coast because it’s in the mountains.”
He turned his head, giving her a heatless glare, then he went back to the paper. “How about we forgo a pool, and I design us a big bathtub we can both enjoy together?”
She thought for a moment, mock humming then nuzzled his cheek. “I guess I can settle for that.”
John turned just a hair and brushed his lips against her chin. “Love you.”
“I love you,” she smiled, watching as he continued his sketching. “So…I have a couple question.”
“I may have a couple answers,” he joked in return.
“When you were in the Marine Corps, you learned basic hand to hand, right?”
“Yeah, I pushed it a little farther and received extra training. Why?” he asked. “You thinking about joining up?”
She recoiled. “God no! I’ve already got Guy and Kilowog up my ass about training when I come here. I don’t need another drill instructor.” John chuckled and she cracked a grin. “But back to my questions…you ever learn how to choke anyone out?”
John immediately looked up from his drawing to stare at the wall. “I don’t like where this conversation is heading…but yes, I know how.”
“How much would it cost me to get you to choke my brother out?”
“No.”
“Oh, come on!”
“Absolutely not,” John retorted. “I am not choking out Hal just because the two of you are in a pissing match right now.”
She glared at him. “But you love me, don’t you?”
“Manipulation isn’t going to work on me, sweetheart.” He turned his head and caught her eye. “But I do love you.”
She glowered at him for a moment, then called out, “Guy! You have basic hand to hand, right!”
From somewhere down the halls, they heard, “Yeah! Why?”
Grinning evilly, she let go of John and started for the door. “I have a proposition I think you’re gonna like! It involves money and beating up my brother!”
“I’m down!”
John scrambled out of the chair and hauled after her. “NO! GUY NO! BOTH OF YOU NO!”

She landed beside Guy, watching the young man training with her brother. “Who’s the newbie?”
He hummed as Hal caught a kick to the gut. “Name’s Dakota. Former grunt.”
“Former?” she repeated, examining him. “Kid can’t be older than Kyle.”
“I’m right here.” A voice called and she turned, smiling as Kyle and John walked over.
“Yes, I see.” Her eyes found the two men again. “But he seems young to be out of the military so fast.”
Guy’s voice quieted. “Got kicked out for assaulting a superior officer.”
She cocked a brow. “For a good reason?”
“He won’t talk about it.” John replied, crossing his arms over his chest. “Won’t talk to anyone about the service, even me or Hal.” He looked at her. “Figured he’d tell us in his own time.”
Nodding sympathetically, she said, “I understand. Sometimes it’s—”
“Shit!”
Their eyes turned to the men training, seeing Hal pinned underneath Dakota, the young man’s eyes firm and cold; Guy walked over. “Alright. Training’s over.” Dakota didn’t move and he reached down, grabbing his shoulder. “Hey. Enough.”
The young man blinked, pulled from his thoughts and looked down at Hal whose face showed evident strain; he yanked away as if burned. “Ah crap. Sorry sir.”
Hal got to his feet, rolling his shoulder. “Don’t worry about it. You had good form.”
Dakota said nothing and she stepped up to him, calling, “Dakota.” He looked at her and she extended her hand. “Hi, I’m (Y/N) Jordan. Hal’s younger sister.”
He shook her hand. “Good to meet you.”
Pulling away, she gestured for him to follow, constructing a blue picnic table with her ring. “Have a seat?”
“Uh, sure,” Dakota agreed, taking the seat across from her.
She poured the construct liquid, passing him a glass. “You fight like a soldier. What branch?”
He blinked. “Army. Joined at seventeen.”
“How old are you?”
“Twenty-three.”
“Still in?”
“No ma’am.” He said. “Completed my contract and got out.”
(Y/N) nodded, pouring more glasses for her brother and friends as they sat down beside them. “My brother and I both served. Hal was in the Air Force as a combat pilot. I went into the Navy as a SARC.” Handing a glass to John, she added, “John’s a former Marine.”
“Once a Marine, always a Marine,” John retorted with a grin and she winked, then looked back at Dakota.
“We all received discharges for our service.”
The young man’s eyes flashed. “What kind of discharges?”
(Y/N) tipped her head. “John was honorable discharged, and Hal was given an OTH.”
“And yours?”
“Medical discharge.” Smiling, she added, “Though in the books it’s honorable. Made sure my CO wrote it down.”
Dakota blinked. “What’d a squid get a medical discharge for?”
The men around her laughed and even she cracked a grin, countering, “Oh? So, the grunt’s got jokes, huh?” he sheepishly smiled, and she nodded, suddenly turning solemn. “I was medically discharged for the same reason you keep your stint under wraps.”
“You don’t know a goddamn thing about me.” He hissed and she eyed him knowingly.
“You’re right. But I know PTSD when I see it.” (Y/N) tipped her head to the man sitting beside him. “Hal’s had PTSD since we were kids. I got it overseas managing wounded soldiers and sailors.” She inhaled through her nose. “It’s funny, we’re told we fight our wars for the greater good…that it’s justified to bomb schools in foreign countries because they’re raising terrorists, or to have an all-kill rule when sweeping a house because you don’t know who friendlies and enemies are inside.”
She met his gaze. “And we believe it because we want to serve. Because we want to be someone that makes our families proud of our service.” Her eyes darkened. “What happens when we finish our war and come home, but the battle doesn’t stay where it was fought?”
Reaching over, she pulled Hal’s bomber from his wrist. “When I came back, I broke Hal’s wrist during an episode a few years ago. I begged him to put me somewhere I couldn’t hurt anyone.” She exhaled. “I spent a year in a psyche ward designed for veterans who couldn’t control their episodes. It wasn’t a prison. It was a rehabilitation center for people who were afraid to hurt themselves or the people they loved because their minds were still at war even though they were home.”
(Y/N) caught Dakota’s eyes. “Who’d you hurt?”
He swallowed thickly, the signs of unshed tears in his eyes as he whispered, “My mom.” He breathed choppily. “I thought I was still back over there. Someone grabbed me and I thought it was an enemy.” He looked at her. “I broke my mom’s hip because I shoved her into a wall.” Wiping his eyes, he cried, “I was supposed to protect my mom and I was the one that hurt her.”
“It wasn’t your fault,” she said, resting a hand over his. “But keeping it all contained isn’t going to help you, Dakota.” She smiled. “You’re young. And you have an advantage that most people don’t. You have time.” Squeezing his hand, she added, “I’d like to set you up with a friend of mine in the ward I was in. He’d welcome you with open arms.”
“I’m not crazy.”
“No. You’re not. But our minds are still fighting, and we have responsibilities to do something about that. To care.” She gazed at him. “And suffering in what you think is atonement, isn’t going to bring back the people you lost nor is it going to fix anything you’ve done.”
Dakota chewed his lip, then his eyes fell to the rings on their hands, and he said, “I don’t know why it chose me…”
(Y/N) shrugged wistfully. “No one knows why the rings choose us. Personally, I’m still wondering why I wasn’t given a green ring. I mean, I hang around with these four all day.”
Whilst the four corpsmen beside them griped, they simply laughed and she twirled her own ring on her finger, smiling at the blue band. “But I’d like to think Hope chose me because I refused to lie down and die. Because I had hope that I’d still see the sunrise even after my darkest nights.” (Y/N) took his hand standing from the table; everyone else scrambled to do so as well before the construct faded.
Dakota stood with her, and she said, “If the ring is on your finger, it’s because it sensed the will you have to overcome every fear you have. Willpower is the basis of perseverance. It is the aspiration that you have something to live for.” Smiling, she asked, “So I ask you here, what do you have to live for?”
He took a long moment to think it over, then he said, “The future…that I have the will to live and see another day.”
(Y/N) winked. “And that’s hope.” She nodded toward the city in the distance. “Simon and Jessica should be done training with Kilowog by now. Go join them for some lunch and relaxation before you get back to training again.”
Dakota glanced at Guy who merely nodded, and the young man looked at her once more. “How long did it take you to stop sleeping with it?”
She blinked. “Long enough to realize it was better kept in a lock box than beneath my pillow.”
He nodded and rose into the sky, heading towards the city, and when she felt fingers in her palm, she looked over, seeing Kyle staring at her. “What’d he mean?”
“He’s talking about the gun we service-members keep under pillows when we come back.”
“There was a gun underneath your pillow?”
“Still is,” (Y/N) murmured. “I made enemies overseas and I have more now.” Her eyes found his. “I never really feel secure unless I’ve got a weapon nearby.”
Hal rested a hand on her shoulder, and she looked over at him. “I’m proud of you.”
She leaned into her brother’s side. “I’m proud of you, Hallie.”
“Don’t call me Hallie,” he scowled. “It’s embarrassing.”
“Less embarrassing than being named Harold. Sound like an old man.”
Kyle snorted. “He is an old man.”
“Hey! This old man is still capable of kicking your asses!”
“Oh, you mean like you did John in that barfight all those years ago?” Guy asked, and everyone laughed as Hal started bitching.
