Taisei Sakai x Watanabe Aoto x Kaku So x Masashi Ikeda Interview
The story has entered a new chapter! The actors who play the kings have grown just as much as their characters through more than half a year of filming. In this issue, we asked Taisei Sakai, Watanabe Aoto, Kaku So, and Masashi Ikeda about stories from filming and their enthusiasm for the new chapter.
"First, we'd like to talk about the battle against the Earth Empire, Bugnarak, which was depicted in episode 26. While filming, did you notice any growth in your characters?"
Ikeda: Jeramie has grown significantly. Gradually, he's become more human, and has shown new sides and changes in his feelings, which gave off the feeling that he was being "updated" as I played the role.
Sakai: Gira hasn't changed much in terms of his character, but I felt that the feelings he has for his people have changed greatly since becoming king.
Watanabe: The impact of Yanma's first appearance was strong, so I think the way he's depicted is to show the various sides of him. As an actor, it was fun to see developments continue, allowing me to play new aspects of his character.
Kaku: There was a big change in Kaguragi with the absence of Racules……I enjoyed acting and having conversations with (Masato) Yano-chan, who plays the role of Racules, and many people complimented us on our performance by saying, "It's like something out of a Taiga drama,* only more profound." However, I get the strong impression that Kaguragi remains the same, and is as relaxed as ever. Perhaps more impressive than the change in character, is the growing friendship between the cast members over the past six months. We even go out to eat after filming finishes….. (*annual historical drama by NHK)
Watanabe: With the exception of our days off, we're always together.
"Looking back, please tell us about any episodes that left a particularly strong impression on you."
Kaku: It would have to be episode 26. It's the last episode of the first chapter, and I was moved by the scene where Gira and the others resolve things with the Bugnarak. The one that was most fun to play was episode 24, which was the summer festival episode. Wearing a yukata in that worldview was also fun.
Ikeda: Episode 26 is definitely memorable, but if I had to choose the best one, I'd say it's episode 11. I think that the scene where Jeramie made his first appearance, taking off the spider mask he's worn for 2,000 years, was the first step in his new life. I'll never forget that scene.
Watanabe: The first film shoot I had was together with Gira. From there, everyone came together in episode 5, and after Legend King-Ohger arrived, Jeramie joined us…..When I think back on the process, the most memorable moment was when all 6 of us were together for the shoot. In particular, I was moved by episode 19, when it was announced that we were, "The Five Kingdom Unusual Incident Countermeasure Lifesaving Force," abbreviated as, "Ohsama Sentai King-Ohger!"
Sakai: The 6 of us transforming together in episode 19 left a deep impression on me as well. I was amazed when I saw the finished video for the first time. I was impressed by the wonderful effects of the screen cracking at the moments of impact.
Ikeda: It was fun to see everyone fighting together, and gave off an atmosphere unique to the Sentai series.
"We'd also like to ask about the retainers who support the kings. What are everyone's impressions of Douga, Shiokara, Kuroda, and Gerojim?"
Kaku: Despite the fact that he hides his face, I'm glad that Kuroda is very popular. I discussed with (Hajime) Kanzaki-san, who plays Kuroda, that the relationship between Kaguragi and Kuroda is that of a lord and a spy, but Kuroda's personality became alot more prominent, and he's since come to the forefront. Before I knew it, he became an essential part of King-Ohger.
Ikeda: Gerojim is so cute! When I watch the broadcasts, I can't help but laugh when Tomokazu Seki-san (Gerojim's voice actor) interjects between my lines. I never thought I'd have a retainer, or that he'd even ride in God King-Ohger. I did alot of acting with monsters, especially scenes with (Riichi) Seike-san, who plays Desnarak VIII. Seike-san is a really passionate actor, and before we performed the farewell scene between Desnarak VIII and Jeramie in episode 26, Seike-san encouraged me with, "Come at me with everything you've got!" In the beginning, I wasn't used to acting with Suit Actors, but thanks to Seike-san and the others, I was able to act naturally, which made me very happy.
Watanabe: Shiokara and the others are a good group of friends who react to every single thing Yanma does. On our days off, Chiwata Yuhei-kun, who plays the role of Shiokara, takes the initiative in arranging dinner parties for the N'Kosopa team. I'm very grateful that communication is connected through Chiwata-kun, and I'm also happy that just like in the show, Shiokara plays the role of connecting me with our citizens.
Sakai: Episodes between Douga and Gira haven't really been depicted, but it seems like a strong relationship was formed over the 2 years between episodes 26 and 27. They must have thought of ways to ensure that food would reach the children, and how to run the country while coming up with ideas together on how to better serve the people.
"Did the staff tell you about any changes that occurred during the span of those 2 years?"
Sakai: I haven't been told the specifics, but Director Kazuya Kamihoriuchi told me that he wanted Gira to be the same as before, but to show a casual composure when performing final attacks.
Ikeda: Although Jeramie's 2,000 years old, on the inside, he's as innocent as a child and is inspired by every single thing that happens to him. So, I think he's taken in alot during those 2 years. Especially in the new chapter, we can see his growth as he tries to express his feelings to the other kings in a straightforward manner. The biggest change was that Jeramie became king, so he must've been busy building a nation for the past 2 years, right? That's what I think atleast. Personally, I'm happy that my country is finally being projected on the LED wall.
Kaku: Kaguragi was arrested for using an underground cultivator called "Arijigoku," which could also be used as a weapon, but he was probably conscious of the fight against Racules, so was making agricultural machines that could be converted into weapons. However, even after 2 years, I still don't know what he's thinking. I wonder what forms of communication he'll start to use……Now that Racules is gone, it seems easy to deceive anyone, so I'm looking forward to seeing what he'll do (laughs).
Watanabe: Not only Kaguragi, but Yanma was also arrested for monopolizing electricity to create the Ultra PC called, "Under Heaven and Earth, I'm the only one." This just shows that even 2 years later, the kings can't sit still.
"The imprisonment of the kings was a surprise, but at the same time, the new chapter has brought changes in hairstyles and costumes."
Watanabe: I was told that the visuals would change when we started depicting what was happening 2 years later. So, I suggested a more mature haircut, thinking it’ll help Yanma settle down, but Director Kamihoriuchi immediately rejected it. Then came the blonde pompadour, and I thought that he was far from settling down, and that his "peak" was yet to come. I actually had the opportunity to suggest a new visual to the Director, and as it was also one of the choices for Yanma's original costume, the short gakuran was chosen
Kaku: Kaguragi has black hair, but I thought it would've been better if he had brown hair….but, that didn't work out (laughs). I'm looking forward to letting my hair down and seeing how the viewers react.
Ikeda: Jeramie now wears a cloak, which makes him look more dignified as a king. Also, the fact that he can now proudly show his Bugnarak hand is a sign that humans and Bugnarak have become closer over the past 2 years, and that the world has become more peaceful. This also seems to have had a significant change in his personality.
Sakai: My changes were left up to the make up artists (laughs). My hair is longer and parted down the middle, and I'm wearing the same clothes as Racules…..I've made a bunch of suggestions myself, but nothing's been approved (laughs). I wonder, will the reason for why he's wearing Racules's clothes and his hairstyle change be revealed in future episodes…..? That's what I imagine.
"By the way, when was everyone made aware of the new chapter?"
Kaku: I think it was right after the dubbing for "Adventure Heaven." The costumes were going to change from episode 27, and there were discussions of, "What are we going to do about it?"
Watanabe: It was about 2 weeks before we started filming, so we didn't have alot of time.
Ikeda: When they said it took place 2 years later, I had the image of a new development in an anime, so it made me very motivated.
"Episode 28 featured a difficult episode of switching roles. Gira and Jeramie, Yanma and Rita, Kaguragi and Hymeno switched, how did you like each of the roles you played?"
Watanabe: I tried to play the role in my own way without asking Yuzuki-chan too many questions. I tried to exaggerate Rita's image by keeping my distance from them except for the physical part, and I wonder, did it come out good? On the other hand, Yuzuki-chan asked me various questions, but since we didn't have many scenes where we talked to each other, I didn't know what was going on until I watched the broadcast.
Kaku: I was also looking forward to seeing how Marie (Erika-san) would play Kaguragi. In my case, I discussed this with Marie, and we began to imitate each other, starting with our finger movements one by one. However, at the start of filming, Director Kamioriuchi told me that it, "Wasn't interesting." I panicked when I heard his comments. The Director wanted her to play the role as if she were an exaggerated imitation of "Hollywood Zakoshisyoh,*" and from there, he expanded on the image he had for Hymeno. But, was I really becoming Hymeno? I was worried at first. Marie's performance as Kaguragi was so far out there, that it was almost too much. She would say, "Ro~Yal~Arms~!!" and I would respond with, "I've never said it like that!," and so she had to try again (laughs). (*Japanese comedian)
Sakai: It’s really difficult for one person to come up with a performance that took about six months to create. Ikeda-kun taught me in detail about Jeramie's gestures, the way he walked, and even the tone of his voice, and I studied and consulted with him alot during filming.
Ikeda: I could tell that we were thinking about the various elements of each other. I kept in mind that we should try to respect each other and exaggerate the other person's character to make it just right.
"We'd also like to ask you about the "Kingdom Dance Competition" that became a hot topic when it was released over the summer. What’s the story behind that video of you dancing "Zenryoku King" in a decisive competition?”
Kaku: It was difficult in many ways! (laughs). I thought I only had to do the scenes where I appeared, but then I realized that I had to dance to all of them. It was very hard, partly because we were filming the movie at the same time.
Sakai: But, that was the first time all the cast members got together for filming. King-Ohger had alot of filming done in the different countries, so it was rare for everyone to gather together, including the entourage. That's why filming it was lively and fun.
Ikeda: I personally have something to say about the distributed video! I was told that since it was being done in one take, even if we made a mistake, it would still be used. However, the other members mistakes weren't included, and only my mistakes were picked up......(laughs). This is to the staff! Couldn't you have just changed the order of the shots?!
Watanabe: But, the Bugnarak team's dancing was wonderful.
Ikeda: That's because Seike-san gathered the team's Suit Actors and even held a strategy meeting.
Kaku: The sexy poses of Rita and Morfonia in Gokkan were ordered by Director Kamihoriuchi. It was interesting to see that Morfonia didn't seem too happy about it (laughs).
"Finally, can you tell us about the development of the new chapter and its highlights?"
Kaku: I think that the pasts of Kaguragi and Suzume will be further explored, which will deepen your love for the characters. I'm looking forward to the future of this story, not only as an actor, but also as a viewer.
Ikeda: I think that not only the pasts of each king and their retainers, but also the mysteries of the world of King-Ohger will continue to be revealed. I want to know the ending as soon as possible, so I can't wait to receive the next script!
Watanabe: Not just Yanma, but past stories related to N'Kosopa will also be depicted, so I hope you'll continue to watch King-Ohger every week!
Sakai: Gira is especially mysterious. He was born into a royal family, and yet he ended up in an orphanage, and we don't know why he knows about the Wrath of God. Even I don't know the truth behind it, but I've been imagining alot of different things as I play the role. I hope that from now on, you'll continue to support King-Ohger! _
Murakami Erika x Yuzuki Hirakawa Interview
Following the male cast members, we asked Murakami Erika, who plays the role of Hymeno Ran, and Yuzuki Hirakawa, who plays the role of Rita Kaniska, to talk to us. The two of them will talk about everything, from the changes they went through during the six months of filming, the costume changes that accompanied the start of the second chapter, and even the untold story of the body swapping episode depicted in episode 28.
"With episode 26, the battle against the Earth Empire, Bugnarak, has come to an end. Having played Hymeno and Rita for six months since the first episode, how do you feel your characters have changed?"
Murakami: Hymeno was the type of queen who wasn't suited for collective actions, having led people according to her own selfishness. But, when the Bugnarak attacked, she decided to join forces with the other kings to save Chikyu. In episode 7, there's a scene where Hymeno couldn't respond immediately to Gira saying the words, "Let's be friends!" After that, I think she gradually developed a mutual relationship with Gira and the others, and was able to grow toward her goal of saving Chikyu.
Hirakawa: Rita has slowly begun to depend on others. I think that they're gradually becoming able to express their honest feelings. In the beginning, Rita was building walls against others on their own, but as the story progressed, their barrier against the other kings gradually grew smaller. As a result, their self control to suppress their feelings have weakened, which is why they've started to sometimes scream in front of others.
"Hymeno has her retainer Sebastian, and Rita has their retainer Morfonia. As Hymeno and Rita, were there many scenes where you interacted with those two characters?"
Murakami: Sebastian is the one who listens to Hymeno's every request and spoils her. But, when taking God King-Ohger into battle in episode 25, although she was afraid that she might get them killed in battle, she asked Sebastian and the others, "It's incredibly selfish, but will you hear me out?," as if begging them to fight with her. It really was a lovely moment where I felt the relationship of trust between the king of Ishabana and her entourage.
Hirakawa: Originally, Rita and Morfonia had a professional relationship only. Then, during episode 10, Morfonia approached Rita, and the distance between them changed. In episode 25, Rita asked Morfonia for a favor outside of work, and I think this showed that the relationship between the two of them has grown even deeper.
"How is your relationship with Hiroto Yoshimitsu-san, who plays Sebastian, and Kasumi Hasegawa-san, who plays Morfonia?"
Murakami: Yoshimitsu-san is really sweet to me (laughs). He's always buying me something tasty.
Hirakawa: It was daifuku the other day (laughs).
Murakami: It was delicious~ (laughs). Also, when I would raise my voice during a scene, (Mizushima) Marina-san, who plays Elegance Moun, would become worried and give me throat lozenges…..Since the members of Ishabana's entourage are all older than me, they spoil me as if I were their daughter.
Hirakawa: Kasumin (Hasegawa-san) is like a kind big sister who's always looking out for me. Possibly due to both of us being from Kyushu, we became good friends the more we started hanging out in our private lives. Recently, we've been doing live streams together, and have become closer than ever.
"Looking back up to episode 26, what were the most memorable scenes?"
Hirakawa: Rita's past being portrayed in episode 16 was the most memorable for me. Rita's past was hard to imagine and rather mysterious. Although not everything was explained, I think that episode 16, which explained why they became king and what happened to them in the past, was the episode that impacted me the most in the past six months.
Murakami: We've been filming for six months, but the most memorable was episode 3. Hymeno's selfish, but she's also a king, so she has her beliefs. I'm most attached to episode 3 in the sense that it depicts Hymeno's inner self. But, after learning in episode 7 that her parents deaths were caused by scorpion poison, she can no longer hold back her feelings…..This development was also important for Hymeno. Although she expresses her own strength, she also feels resentment toward the unsolved case, and I acted while thinking about Hymeno's inner thoughts.
"Has anything changed in the relationship between the cast members?"
Murakami: After about four or five months, everyone would laugh at me no matter what I said. I can now speak my mind without worrying (laughs). I'm not really good at expressing my opinions in front of other people, but I've become able to do so with confidence. My mother, who watched "King-chan" (TTFC talk show), even said to me, "I think you've become more comfortable with the other cast members, and your sense of humor has improved, hasn't it?"
Hirakawa: You really make us laugh over trivial things. I was surprised at first, because Marie's wasn't the comedic type. Now, I'm also in the mood to play along.
Murakami: Recently, Kaku-san, Aoto-kun and I went out for dinner, and we ended up going to 4 different places. We were having so much fun, that I didn't realize we were moving from one restaurant to another. I've come to trust them both with all my heart, and I even surprised myself at how well I could get along with people.
Hirakawa: I may not have changed in any way, but……What do you think? Have you noticed anything?
Murakami: In the beginning, Yuzuki didn't complain at all, right? But lately, she's started mumbling things like, "It's painful," and, "I'm tired."
Hirakawa: I'm not good at telling people that I'm having a hard time. I'm mindful of not saying anything because I'm concerned about worrying or bothering others. But, I think I've gotten too close to Marie and the others, so it comes out unconsciously. Because we're together every day, I feel like I don't have to care anymore, as we share the same physically and mentally demanding times.
Murakami: That being said, the stage greeting held in Fukuoka for "Adventure Heaven" was like a field trip. Even though it was work, everyone was having fun and it felt like being on vacation.
Hirakawa: Marie joined us on a different plane, but she was wearing big sunglasses and looked like a celebrity going overseas. I took a bunch of pictures of Marie and sent them in the group chat…..
Murakami: I suddenly noticed that there were alot of hidden photos taken of me in the group chat (laughs). As revenge, next time, I'll take lots of cool photos of everyone…..It was really fun. The cast of King-Ohger is friendly regardless of gender, so it really makes you feel like you're back in high school. Until now, I haven't had the opportunity to work with so many colleagues who are aiming for the same goal, so it's very refreshing,
"Episode 27 onward will be the second chapter, and will depict the battle against the Uchu Five Jesters in the world 2 years later. What was your impression when you first heard about the new chapter?"
Murakami: We know what happens next when we receive the scripts, so I was really surprised when I read the scripts for episodes 27-29. It's 2 years later, but worst of all, we're out of the picture (laughs). As I read on, I realized that we were imprisoned! I thought that was an interesting angle.
Hirakawa: I've never heard of time skips in the middle of a story within the Super Sentai series, have you? I was also told that the visuals would be changing. I felt very honored to be able to participate in a production that provided such a rare experience.
Murakami: I'm really happy because there are so many new things happening within King-Ohger, including filming with an LED wall.
"We'd like to hear more about when you learned about the new costumes."
Murakami: If I'm remembering right, I was having a review meeting with Director Kamihoriuchi at a yakiniku restaurant, when he casually said to me, "Think about what kind of visuals you want." At the time, I thought it would be for a one time episode, so I thought, "Gira with a shaved head?" or something…..I was thinking things like that, but then I heard that they were asking about new visuals to be used from episode 27 onward. In Hymeno's case, up until now it's always been about cute things, but I talked about how it'd be cooler to express herself with natural elements, rather than to dress her up. As a result, I ended up with a costume like that of a female knight. The hairstyle, which used to change each episode, was shifted to include more hair extensions and different colors
Hirakawa: Rita's costume has changed only in that the length of their jacket has become shorter, but their hairstyle has changed alot. Actually, I've been saying that I wanted to cut my hair since the beginning of filming. However, this wasn't allowed in the beginning, and filming proceeded with my long hair. Director Kamihoriuchi remembered this and suggested that, "Rita should cut their hair after two years." Rita was given a short hair cut and was able to turn their visuals in a cooler direction.
"Does this mean that the costumes were made lighter to accommodate the summer shoot?"
Murakami: I don't think so. It was still hot (laughs).
Hirakawa: It was hot……(laughs).
"2 years later, Hymeno was charged with arson, and Rita was imprisoned in Gokkan for violating the Labor Standards Law. How have Hymeno and Rita changed during the span of 2 years, and how will you interpret these changes through your performance?"
Murakami: I felt that we were able to fight while being aware of our respective roles. In the beginning, the kings weren't well organized, but over the past 2 years, they seem to have developed a sense of camaraderie.
Hirakawa: Their resolve as a king has become stronger, and I think it shows in their visuals. However, Rita has grown in their ability to talk with the others as friends, while also taking their feelings into consideration.
"Episode 28, the most recently aired episode, depicted the body swapping of the kings. Murakami-san plays Kaguragi and Hirakawa-san plays Yanma. How was the filming for that?"
Murakami: I'm so tired! In all my time in the entertainment industry, I've never acted in such a disorganized manner, so I'm worried that everyone will be turned off by my performance. Kaku-san is very kind, so he said, "It was fun!," but I was still worried about it! (laughs). I think the most obvious way to express Kaguragi's performance is through his eyes, so I tried my best to open my eyes while spreading my legs, but I overdid it and we had to reshoot. However, the reason I was able to do such a disorganized performance may be because I get along so well with everyone and am able to tell jokes and make funny faces.
Hirakawa: I didn't really prepare for the role of Yanma that much. That's because I'm abit like Yanma in some aspects of my everyday life (laughs). I studied yankii like postures, but other than that, I tried not to think about anything other than playing a passionate guy named Yanma. More than that, when I was playing the role of Yanma, I was showing my entire face, so I was very conscious of that. I've been performing with my face hidden for more than half a year, so I was surprised at how embarrassed I felt showing my face (laughs). While checking the monitor, I thought to myself, "This is what I look like……"
"What did you think of Hymeno being played by Kaku-san, and Rita being played by Watanabe-san?"
Murakami: I was surprised to realize that this is what Hymeno looks like from other people's perspective. When Hymeno couldn't accept Kaguragi's body, I think I would've wanted to say, "I can't take it!," and run away. However, Kaku acting all depressed was very cute. I was very happy that he opened up a side of Hymeno that I didn't have.
Hirakawa: Aoto just did whatever he wanted (laughs). Even though I thought to myself, "They wouldn't open their eyes that wide, would they?," I felt that Yuzuki Hirakawa's performance broadened the range of Rita's character. Due to the stress of having their body swapped, Rita's emotions are more tense than usual. It made me realize that I could show these kinds of facial expressions. It made it easier for me to do my future performances.
Murakami: Now that I think about it, during filming for episode 27, Director Kamihoriuchi was laughing while watching the monitor the whole time (laughs).
Hirakawa: Before I knew it, I became more determined to make the Director laugh.
"It was because of that determination that it turned into such an outrageous episode. Now, we're anxious to see what'll happen next, but what would you two like the fans to pay attention to when watching the show?"
Murakami: The foreshadowing from previous episodes are gradually being revealed, and there are episodes in which each character's pasts are explored in depth. For example, Sebastian's real name, which hasn't currently been revealed, may be mentioned, and even if you haven't watched it up to this point, I'd like you to watch King-Ohger, even if you start from the new chapter!
Hirakawa: Also, there's an all out action episode by Director Sakamoto Hiroshi. Although filming hasn't started yet (at the time of this interview), I've heard that there'll be lots of action, so I'm really looking forward to doing the performance. It'd make me happy if you could continue to watch every week!

Shinichiro Miki (Kamejim Voice Actor)
Ohsama Sentai King-Ohger has entered its second chapter, but there's only one enemy leader that's survived from the first chapter. His name, is Kamejim Unka! He was the one behind the 2,000 year battle between humans and Bugnarak, and is one of the Uchu Five Jesters who serve under the Uchu King, Dagded Dujardin. The voice is provided by veteran voice actor Shinichiro Miki, making this his first performance in the Super Sentai series. Miki is a big fan of King-Ohger himself, so how does he approach the role of Kamejim Unka?
"Miki-san is also known for his role as Sieg in "Kamen Rider Den-O," but this is his first performance in the Super Sentai series. What are your impressions of the series?"
Miki: I love tokusatsu productions, and have been watching them since "Himitsu Sentai Goranger," which is from my generation. But, after I started working as a voice actor, whenever I heard the voice of someone I knew who was appearing in those shows, I stopped watching them out of jealousy (laughs). It was only after I started working on Den-O that those feelings toned down abit, and I was able to watch them again. These days, I listen to the voices of my juniors and think to myself, "(Yuki) Kaji-kun is really doing his best~." Even so, I still get jealous (laughs).
"What was your impression when you first heard about the setting of King-Ohger, and the role of Kamejim that Miki-san plays?"
Miki: I felt that there were alot of new elements, and thought, "This is interesting and different from previous Super Sentai!" When I first saw Kamejim's design, my impression was, "It's really cool!" I was told that he was a, "Sharp intellectual, and a faithful subordinate of King Desnarak VIII," although, I expected him to have something happening behind the scenes (laughs). I got the impression that he was polite with his words, but I couldn't understand his true feelings, and during the audition, I was conscious of trying to convey the nuances of that part well.
"There seems to have been various decisions made as recording progressed, so were there any changes in the way you created the role compared to the beginning?"
Miki: As the story progresses, we're learning more about his character, and there are alot more parts of him that, "Dare to say the opposite of what he means, but still holds true." Along with this, the range of my speaking style has expanded, and I try to be aware of the thought behind the dialogue as I go into recording.
"You said that you expected, "Something to be happening behind the scenes," and we have the impression that Kamejim evolved into a character with one or two quirks as a result of Miki-san's performance."
Miki: Thank you so much. Well, things just turned out that way (laughs). That being said, I think the result is from a good mix of not only my voice acting, but the performance of Suit Actor (Masato) Tsutamune-san acting out my character. Even though the meaning of the dialogue doesn't change, we're recording while focusing on the way he speaks during the action scenes. For this reason, during dubbing scenes, I try to pick up on the movements of Tsutamune-san's hands and fingers as much as possible from the footage.
"Capturing the theatrical elements from a Suit Actor's performance requires a different skill set from that of an anime."
Miki: In the sense that Tsutamune-san plays the role and adds his voice to the finished video, it's more similar to dubbing a foreign film than to an anime. However, being able to go and observe filming and talk with Tsutamune-san, and being able to work with the actors to create the show, is what makes it different from foreign films. I believe that communicating in this way is one of the most important aspects of perfecting a character.
"What kinds of conversations did you have at the recording studio with Shimura Tomoyuki-san, Desnarak VIII's voice actor, who Kamejim served until episode 26?"
Miki: I call him "Shimu-nii," as we've known each other for over 20 years. So, from the first recording session, we said to each other, "This is reassuring!" However, Shimu-nii is a "doer." When the Director asks him to do something on set, he does so many things that it becomes too much. Because of his personality, he brings smiles to everyone on set. The true character of Desnarak VIII……Although he's not a person, I think the kindness towards his fellow comrades is linked to Shimu-nii's kindness.
"Also, speaking of characters played by actors rather than voice actors, don't you have alot of interactions with Jeramie?"
Miki: We've never done the recording together. Kamejim doesn't have much to do with Jeramie, so there weren't many scenes where we had direct conversations. It's like we just talked to ourselves…..Jeramie has lived for 2,000 years, but he has a more child like side to him compared to Gira. From Kamejim's point of view, I think he thought that part of him is adorable.
"From episode 27, the story enters the second chapter, where the King-Ohgers confront Kamejim Unka and those from the Uchu Five Jesters. When did Miki-san learn of these developments?"
Miki: I had heard beforehand that, "There's an even more powerful enemy in the universe, and that Kamejim was a spy sent by that enemy," but when he was defeated by God King-Ohger and exploded in episode 26, I was worried that he wouldn't be coming back (laughs). In order to prepare for the role, I was given alittle more information than the viewers, and was shocked by the scripts around episode 27. After receiving a new script at the office, I often look them over while having a drink, and there were many moving developments, including the scene where Desnarak VIII defends Jeramie. I cry every time I read it. If I hadn't been able to participate after episode 27 though, I might've cried in a different way. I survived, so at that time, my tears were that of relief (laughs). The storytelling in King-Ohger has a wonderful way of creating a story that can also resonate with the hearts of adults.
"Now that Kamejim Unka has been revealed as one of the Uchu Five Jesters, how did you react to his change in position?"
Miki: I think he's most comfortable in a position like that, as a second in command. I think he's the type of person who leaves the big things to someone else and enjoys doing what he wants to do. The way he reappears in episode 27 is also typical of him. Objectively, I think of him with, "He always looks like he's having fun," and, "I wish I could live like that."
"Since your position changed, did your role change in any way?"
Miki: There were basically no changes. There's a change when the person he supports is nearby and when they’re not, but up until episode 26 and from episode 27 onwards, there's no change in personality, just a change in the person he serves. However, since his comrades of the Uchu Five Jesters have appeared and are in the same position as him, I think there’ll be new aspects in the interactions with them that have never been seen before.
"Characters in the same position consist of Goma Rosalia, Hilbil Leech, and Minongan Moth. What kind of conversations did you have with the cast members who play them?"
Miki: The Uchu Five Jesters cast has a great lineup, with (Kazuhiro) Yamaji-san and (Miyuki) Sawashiro-san. I don't have much of an opportunity to talk with them, but I talked to Tomokazu Seki the other day, and he said, "It seems like they picked me since Minongan Moth is a character who doesn't talk much" (laughs). Then I remember telling (Ishida) Akira-kun, "I'm happy we're working on the same program again."
"On the other hand, you were in charge of the narration for “The Secret of King Racules,” which is available on the Toei's Tokusatsu Official YouTube Channel."
Miki: In the main show, Jeramie narrates the story, but since "The Secret of King Racules" is the story of the "Worst King," it was decided that since I'm on the evil side, I would be in charge of the narration. However, if I did it as Kamejim, it would be too obvious, so I tried to do it in a calm manner, keeping the narration style in mind.
"What do you think about the story in "The Secret of King Racules?"
Miki: I cried. It's alittle more mature than the main story, and the final scene was especially emotional. I also liked the screen composition, where the faces of King Racules and Vedalia are alternately shown in close ups in the background. It was also very emotional that Kofuki, who appeared in that work, rode the 20 person combined God King-Ohger in episode 25 of the main story.
"Miki-san said he cries as he reads the script, but which scenes in the episodes that have aired so far have been most memorable?"
Miki: There's too many! Like the scene in episode 16 where Rita says, "Thank you," in a small voice after receiving the Moffun from Hymeno, or the scene in episode 25, where the retainers of each country expressing their feelings towards the kings is depicted…..There are really too many to choose from. I watch the broadcasts 3 times every Sunday. First, I watch the reactions on SNS in real time, saying things like, "I can see why people would react this way here," and, "I see!" (laughs). Then, while drinking, I would do it a second and then third time. Afterwards, while reading the script for the next episode, which had already been dubbed, I'd think, "This is what happens after this, huh," and then start to cry (laughs). Even though I didn't appear in it, I went to the theater to see "Adventure Heaven" as a fan.
"You're looking at this from a genuine fan's perspective, rather than from a performer's perspective."
Miki: Of course, there are things I can reflect on about myself, but that's something I can make use of in my next job. While I want to reflect, I also want to have fun with the fans. In all my years as a voice actor, this may be the first work that makes me feel this way.
"Why are you so enthusiastic about King-Ohger?"
Miki: There's one reason for participating in it, but I think there's also many other reasons, such as the story, the wonderful character designs, and the fact that the filming method is different from what we've seen before. Maybe it's the excitement and sense of being with everyone in an era and worldview that's different from usual.
"King-Ohger continues to have unpredictable developments, Miki-san, please tell us what you think we should focus on going forward."
Miki: The development of Gira's involvement with the Kyoryuger's has become an even newer development within the new developments of the second chapter. I'm sure that these developments will continue to go beyond the expectations of the fans who have been watching the show. Although I know the story alittle earlier than you readers, I'd like to look forward to the future developments with a passionate attitude. When I see words related to King-Ohger trending on SNS every Sunday morning, I feel happy as if they were my own, and this show has taught me how to enjoy watching it with the fans. I hope you'll continue to enjoy your time with me!

Azula doesn't understand.
She feels like she already knows her, she feels like she's seen those beautiful blue eyes and that tender smile before, but where exactly? It was literally the first time she had been on that primitive planet and, therefore, the first time she had seen it.
"Azula, are you okay?" the voice of her older brother brought her out of her thoughts. Azula looked at the boy in front of her.
"Yes, Zuko, I'm fine," she answers flatly. Zuko frowned.
"No, you're not," says the boy with a large scar covering his left eye. "If so, you would have called me Zuzu" Azula laughed halfheartedly, knowing that she was right.
"Well, maybe you're right," the black-haired girl with golden eyes let out a sigh. Yes, she couldn't really tell that she felt good, although it wasn't that she felt bad either, she was just... confused, she had a vague feeling that nothing was what it seemed to be. "Zuko, don't you find this all strange?"
"Uh? What are you talking about?"
"I mean...don't you feel like we've been to this city before?" the queen-in-waiting mentions seriously, something that Zuko knows is unusual for her. "Or rather, don't you feel like we actually already know those kids?" Surreptitiously, the minor pointed to a group of teenagers who were sitting at a table near hers.
Katara O'neil, along with her brother Sokka and her best friend Mai Kuroda, were chatting calmly, or at least that's what they appeared to be. Azula couldn't really hear much of her conversation due to the noise in the cafeteria, even though she had an incredible sense of hearing.
Although there was one small word that she could distinguish from all the talk.
Trolls
"Well, I don't know exactly what to tell you, Azula," the Akiridian said. "I'd say it's just you, but I have to admit that lately I've had that same feeling, like deja vu, and I've also started having strange dreams"
"Strange dreams?"
"Yes, they're a bit blurry, but sometimes I see you and me with those three and with some strange creatures that I can't identify," Zuko explained, concern evident on his face. "In addition to wearing armor, especially Katara, who appeared as a being with..."
"Stone skin?" Her sister completed, and Zuko saw her surprised.
"As you know?"
"I don't have the slightest idea, but the only thing I do know is that beings like that are known as trolls," Azula said as she remembered that the day before she had dreamed about Katara being some kind of half-troll. "They are stone creatures that cannot be exposed to sunlight because otherwise they would become real statues of... stone? Oh, kleb, I think I'm going to go crazy with so many dreams I have, because I'm even starting to say things that I don't know completely about" she ran both hands over her face, it was obvious that the matter was stressing her out.
"It wouldn't be reasonable for you to become crazier than you already are," Zuko mocked, receiving a murderous look from the minor. "I think, Azula, that we should solve this on our own, maybe if we do a little research on this completely 'normal' city" the boy made quotes with his fingers. ", we could find answers to our questions, what do you say?"
"Ugh, whatever," letting out a small grunt, Azula massaged her temples.
The doorbell announcing the end of recess began to ring. Both brothers got up from their table and along with other students left the cafeteria, but neither of them noticed that a certain trio was staring at them.
[...]
Azutara+Tales of Arcadia?  Yeah.
Ok, to have a little context for this: this drabble would basically be set after the events of Rott, where the characters would slowly recover their memories from the previous timeline (thanks to Aaron Waltke for that headcanon post-rott)
In this case, those who would be recovering their memories little by little are Zuko and Azula. Sokka and Mai, whom I also mentioned in the drabble, are the ones who have already fully recovered their memories (they would take the role of Toby and Claire respectively, that's how crazy my AU is) thanks to Katara.
Katara would be the only one of the group who would have her memories intact, since she was the one who returned to the past using the time stone that was in the Chronosphere.
"Time develops differently, like a flower. Only the Trollhunter will know"
Oh yes, Katara would still be Trollhunter in the new timeline. I won't do the same as in Rise of the Titans, where Jim after returning to the past lets Toby keep Merlin's amulet.
Uff, I seriously have a lot of ideas for this Azutara TOA AU, especially since I would have fun writing about Azula being an Akiridian and how she dislikes humans except Katara.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You drove through Tokyo to the first place where Hachirou Akira Kuroda could currently be. You decided to talk to him before dawn broke and he started dropping off and bringing his girls to their hideouts or homes where they could get some sleep and get ready for another night of work.
You were surprised that Kuroda didn't run an ordinary brothel but took prostitutes to clients or left them in nightclubs so they could find clients on their own. Despite the fact that he had a heavy hand, none of the girls tried to disobey him - at least not the permanent employees. When the new girl began to rebel, she was unable to work for the next few days. He simply broke them, and they obeyed him, treating him almost as their lord and ruler.
Why did the syndicate keep such a son of a bitch? Precisely because he was a son of a bitch and brought in a pretty good percentage of the syndicate's profits. Akira's girls weren't bad, there were even some gems among them. Hens laying golden eggs. One of these girls was Kitty. But if he actually ordered her murder while in prison...
You made a few turns and stopped your car in a small, almost empty parking lot across from the apartment complex. The two-story building didn't look inviting, but it didn't seem discouraging either. As far as you knew, it was all Kuroda's and his best girls and himself lived in it so he could keep an eye on them.
You observed the building for a moment and noticed that several men of different ages were walking nearby. You recognized some of them by sight and concluded that they were minor pawns of Bonten. The question is how much they knew about Akira's scams and whether they had anything to do with it.
And did either of them execute Kitty?
You sat silently in the car and watched the men's behavior. Only some of them looked in your direction, the rest were busy talking to each other. You've never seen such... a multitude of minor syndicate members in one place as here. You counted about 15 people, which was typical for meeting places for business, not for guarding where prostitutes lived. There must have been something going on.
When you were about to get off, you noticed that one of the men started walking towards you. He looked about twenty years old, but his movements showed experience. He was wearing an unbuttoned short-sleeved shirt with a white T-shirt underneath. His pants were cheap but clean.
He finished smoking his cigarette and threw the butt away with a snap of his fingers before smiling and gesturing for you to roll down the car window.
“Hello, boss. What brings the boss here so early?” He asked cheerfully, resting his hand on the roof of the car and leaning over slightly to get a better look at you. His sharp eyes quickly scanned the interior of the car and returned to your face. “Were you craving a girl, boss?”
“We felt like talking to your boss, Akira.” You replied calmly and the boy smiled broadly, showing almost full teeth. It had no deficiencies, which was quite unusual, but nice.
“Oh, with Akira? Oh, it's going to be hard, tight schedule.” He shrugged.
“How tense?”
"Very. The boss doesn't like unannounced guests.” The young man's eyes darted around the inside of the car again, as if he was wondering if it would be worth trying theft while beating you up, but when you pulled your jacket back slightly, his expression immediately dropped. “Oh fuck... Is the boss one of the higher ups, boss?” He asked quietly and glanced around secretly, as if to make sure none of his colleagues were standing too close. “Boss on this case, right?”
“About what?” You asked, straightening your jacket and the boy looked around again. “Get in, we'll talk.”
The young man nodded, smiled again, and walked lightly around the car before getting in from the passenger side.
"I'm Fuku Miyata, boss... But most people just call me Yata..." You looked at him carefully, narrowing your eyes slightly and the boy became involuntarily confused. “I'm sorry... I thought Kakucho would show up... Or Mochi...”
“Why would any of them show up here?”
“Because…” Fuku looked at you surprised. “So the boss doesn't know? Akira is a traitor.”
“Why do you say that?” You asked coldly and the boy paled, beads of cold sweat appearing on his forehead.
“I guess the boss isn't involved in this?... God, the boss is involved in this... I'm dead, I'm fucking dead already...” He started mumbling in panic, so you lightly slapped him on the back of his head.
“Calm down or you'll attract someone's attention to us.” You growled, glancing at the other men but not seeing any interest in the two of you, so you looked back at Yata. “I don't know anything about what Akira is doing. Kakucho and Mochi are currently busy with other things, so I'm here.”
“Aha… Okay… Aha… Okay… Cool…” Yata swallowed loudly and snapped his fingers, making you wince slightly - you hated it when people did that. “Okay... Phew... I guess I'm relieved.
“I can lie.” You said quietly and the boy got scared again. You laughed softly and nodded. "All right. From the beginning. What is going on here?"
The boy ran his fingers through his short black hair and took a deep breath. “What does the boss already know?”
“Oh no buddy, it doesn't work like that. Tell me everything you know.” You shook your head and tapped your finger on the steering wheel. “I have all day, so I can wait.” You locked the door and Yata looked at you out of the corner of his eye.
“Oh fuck…” He muttered to himself and inhaled sharply through his nose.
"So? What's going on?"
“Akira…” He became confused and slumped slightly in the passenger seat. “The point is that Akira is selling girls to some gang… or dude, I don't really know who.”
“What do you mean?”
“Well... well, he's selling... Some guys come with cash and take the girls that we had previously arranged.”
“Isn't it about something ordinary, like a rich client and ordinary sex?” You frowned, feeling anger begin to rise within you.
“No! No, boss... They don't come back and Akira always says that if there are problems, they should just beat them up and they will be docile.”
“Tell me, Yata... Why would Akira sell girls who earn money for him?”
“Because most of the money is taken by those at the top of the hierarchy?” He answered without thinking and then turned pale, his eyes almost popping out of their sockets. “Fuck, forgive me boss! It's not like we're short of money or anything... I..."
"Enough." You interrupted him with a growl and the boy immediately fell silent. “What you're saying doesn't make sense. Akira's a bastard, but he's always been the syndicate's most loyal pimp. What the fuck is wrong with him?”
Yata lowered his head and shrugged. “I don't understand it either. Akira has some of the best girls and starts selling them or liquidating them..."
There was silence in the car, and you could hear your interlocutor's rapid heartbeat. Akira sells the girls or liquidates them... You looked at the building that belonged to Kuroda.
“Since when has he been doing this?” You asked in a flat tone.
“For at least two years.” Yata replied in a quiet voice. “At least I work for him so much, so I don't know what happened before…”
"All right. How much has he sold already?”
“25…”
“What the fuck?” You looked at him in surprise and the boy swallowed loudly.
“Well… I know about 25 girls… M-mostly they came from poor families…”
“How many did he liquidate?”
“Oh fuck… Boss, please…” Yata shook his head and his eyes began to wander around the interior of the car, often stopping at the locked doors.
“Don't make me repeat the question, Miyata.” Your voice was calm, but there was a hint of warning in it.
“I personally buried 3 bodies…” He said quietly, as huge tears rolled down his cheeks.
You believed him. You watched silently as the boy sobbed in the seat that Sanzu always occupied. Great...
“Miyata…” You started quietly, but the boy continued to sob, almost choking as he tried to speak more. “Hey, stop it. Because others will be interested.”
“I'm sorry, boss... I'm sorry. I didn't kill... He told me to bury them... I'm sorry!”
Deciding you'd had enough, you started the engine and headed back to Bonten's hideout.
“B-boss? Where is the boss taking me?” Yata asked, wiping snot from under his nose on the hem of his shirt. “Is that it? A bullet in the head for treason?” He sobbed again and you frowned.
"No." At least not now. “We'll talk somewhere else. You have too much information for me to let you go.” You looked at him with disgust and pointed to the glove compartment. “There are tissues over there, use them and stop crying. You're not dying yet.”
“But I'm going to die... I don't want to…” Yata's words were quiet, you almost didn't hear them. “Akira will kill me…”
“Not if I kill you first... Or someone else.” You said, consciously scaring the boy more. “You should have thought ahead before joining a gang.”
“Sorry, boss. I wanted to report it earlier, but Kitty didn't agree... She said Akira would listen to her...” An icy chill ran down your spine and you gripped the steering wheel tighter.
Yata opened the glove compartment and took out tissues to use to wipe his face and empty his nose. “Fuck, I could have listened to my mom…”
“You could. Hanma and Kisaki will want to hear everything you know.”
“Oh God, I'm totally dead!” The boy sobbed again at the mere sound of your two co-workers' names, and you could barely contain your laughter. “Why not Kakucho?”
“What difference does it make?”
“Because I've already talked to him once... And those who talk to Hanma or Kisaki don't always get through it....”
“Don't be silly. As long as you tell the truth, nothing will happen to you.” You snorted and shook your head.
“But it's true, boss…” Yata looked at you with wide eyes. “I might as well talk to the older of the two Haitani, Sanzu and L/n... I'm done.”
You were stunned at the sound of your own name. Ran Haitani might actually beat him up on principle, Sanzu might give the boy some new trauma, but what did you have to do with all this?
“What's wrong with L/n?” You asked in a calm tone.
“So, the boss doesn't know?” Yata asked surprised. “He's friends with Sanzu and together they drug girls in clubs to have fun with them later…”
“What's wrong with that?” You moved slightly, not taking your eyes off the road. After all, this is only half the truth.
The young man looked at you like you were crazy. “No normal person could endure so many hours with this psychopath. So L/n and Sanzu must be the same…” He moved slightly closer and lowered his voice as if someone unwanted would hear him. “I heard rumors that Sanzu killed some guy whose girlfriend he liked and told L/n to get rid of the corpse... Supposedly L/n cut up the corpse and fed it to the sharks.”
You raised your eyebrows as high as you've ever raised them before. What the fuck?
“Who says that?”
“Girls from Akira and others!”
Right. Fucking whores.
“There were no sharks.” You replied indignantly. “The remains were burned in a garbage incinerator.”
"What?" Yata looked and sounded surprised. "Seriously? And how does the boss know this?"
You gave him a quick look and replied as calmly as you could. “Because I'm Y/n L/n.”
Fuku Miyata choked on his own saliva and started coughing, snotting his face like a five-year-old boy.
“Oh fuck… Oh fuck…”
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You led the young man down the empty corridor of the hideout. Your hand held his arm securely, reassuring him that he wouldn't be able to escape anywhere. Miyata kept his head down most of the time, but every now and then his eyes admired the interior design.
You joked that you would take him to talk to Hanma and Kisaki. What you really wanted was to get him to Kakucho. After all, they've already had a few conversations, and maybe number three himself could add something new to the case you were working on.
You were glad that you had already come up with a lead and within a few hours of receiving the folder and reports from Kisaki, but you were well aware that it was all thanks to Rosie.
You stopped in front of the closed door of one of the rooms converted into offices of individual Bonten members and knocked on it, hoping that Kakucho had shown up at the hideout today, just like the girls you passed outside had mentioned. He was in a neutral mood, so there shouldn't be any problems.
The mentioned man's voice came from inside the room and Yata gave you a surprised look, which you simply decided to ignore and opened the door.
“Good morning, Kakucho.” You greeted the man with raven hair who was sitting behind the desk. “I brought you someone to talk to.”
Kakucho nodded, surprise appearing on his face. “To talk to? On what topic?" Judging by the slight mess on the large, heavy desk, it looked like you had interrupted some of his work.
“Fuku Miyata has some information I would like to verify with you.” You led the young man inside and closed the door behind him.
“Yata?” Kakucho was even more surprised, shifting his gaze to him. "What's going on?"
“You see, boss... Boss L/n must have got your case…” The young man smiled faintly, slightly shrugging his shoulders.
Kakucho blinked and looked at you with an expression like he had just found the missing piece of a puzzle he couldn't put together. "I see. That's why I can't find the damn folder. Kisaki took it and gave it to you, huh?”
You looked at him in surprise and opened your mouth to say something, but you couldn't necessarily find the right words, so Kakucho laughed softly.
“What an asshole.” He muttered under his breath and started cleaning up the mess he had made on his desk. “I spent two hours looking for what I had managed to gather so far in this damn case. None of them bothered to inform me of anything.” He looked at Yata and you before pointing you to the two chairs in front of the desk. “Sit down. "Let's talk."
You let go of Miyata's arm and the boy hurried to the designated seat, his face showing relief that he wouldn't have to deal with Hanma and Kisaki. "Thank you boss."
Kakucho waved his hand and spoke to you. “Did you also get the folder from Mochi?”
“No, it looks like I only got your…” You sat down in the chair and frowned slightly. “If you were still working on this case, why did I get it, along with your materials?”
“Because I didn't have a new lead.” The other answered briefly and sighed quietly. “Why did you think Yata might know more?”
“Because I know…” The young man spoke quickly. “I know a lot, I really do, boss. I couldn't contact you because... Because Akira confiscated my phone...' He finished more quietly, a blush appearing on his face.
“Do I want to know why?” Kakucho asked, placing his hands together on the desk, and you looked at the boy, guessing the reason for treating him like a disobedient teenager.
The boy shrugged, looking away, and his face became even redder, making you laugh quietly.
“Okay, never mind.” The black-haired man muttered, making disappointed face, like a parent who caught his child doing something he shouldn't be doing, and then looked at you. “Y/n, could you bring the reports so far? We can complete them with Fuku's help... I'll also call Mochi to deliver his."
"Of course. I'll be back in a moment.” You stood up from your chair and left Kakucho's office, heading to your bedroom. You worked with high-ranking Bonten members and were treated almost as equals by others, but you didn't get your own office, which you hoped would change over time. Until now, you had to work in your bedroom or share an office with Sanzu, which didn't necessarily end with you fulfilling your or his duties honestly...
The closer you got to your door, the more you felt like something was wrong.
You carefully inserted the key inside and tried to turn it but found that the door was open - which it shouldn't be. You turned the doorknob and pushed it inside, and when it opened you saw a pink-haired man sitting on your bed with his back facing the entrance.
“Sanzu?” You closed the door behind you and walked past the bed, getting closer to your guest.
"Where have you been?" He asked in a low, dispassionate tone, and once you were at his side, you saw that he was holding his katana. A shiver ran down your spine. It hasn't been that long...
“I've got a clue…” You started calmly, but were interrupted by a loud snort.
“A clue? Did you fuck him?” Sanzu growled, looking at you out of the corner of his eye and you almost stepped back.
“I fucked him? Whom?" You asked, not understanding anything.
“That boy you brought.” The man stood up and turned to face you, his handsome face twisted in disgust. “Did he give it to you right away? Do you love me so much that you fuck him?”
You stood there, completely shocked. Where did Sanzu get such sick ideas? You shook your head and looked into his eyes. He was under the influence of drugs again.
“Haru…”
“Don't Haru me here, L/n!” He changed his body position as if he wanted to attack you with his katana, but you quickly moved closer to him and grabbed both of his wrists. “Let me go!”
“Haru! Stop!" You looked into his eyes intensely and tried to keep your voice calm. You didn't want to provoke him any further. “Please, let's talk calmly.”
Haruchiyo struggled against you for a moment before he suddenly stopped and nodded slightly. “Okay, let's talk.”
“Give me your katana, please.” You said quietly, gently gripping the sword with one hand. Sanzu hesitated for a few seconds, as if he was fighting an internal battle whether to listen to you or try to cut you in half. His fingers loosened their grip, and you took his beloved katana from him. "Thank you."
Sanzu raised his head slightly and glared at you with an icy gaze. "So?"
“This boy is not my new lover... You don't have to be so angry.” You started, but Sanzu interrupted you.
“You know I still have the gun?”
“Fuck, Sanzu... I'm trying to explain everything to you, damn it.” You grabbed his shoulders tightly and sat him back down on your bed. He probably hasn't had such a surprised expression on his face before. You knelt in front of him and grabbed his hands tightly. “Sanzu... Haru, please believe me. When I say I love you, I mean it sincerely with all my heart.”
“If so, then…”
“I've found a new lead, and I can move forward with the prostitutes case.” You interrupted him by shaking his hands. “You were right that Kakucho and Mochi should take care of this. This is their business… It was theirs.” You quickly corrected yourself when you saw one of Sanzu's eyebrows go up. “Kakucho was stuck, so they took the case away from him and handed it over to me. The boy I brought is Fuku Miyata, one of..."
“Akira's co-workers.” Sanzu's tone of voice was less aggressive, but still cold. “He recognized you and contacted me an hour ago. He asked me to tell you that the boy is not a whore, and you have to pay double for the service.”
You didn't know what to say. You were shocked again, and this time probably more than before. Akira contacted Sanzu because he recognized you and saw you taking Yata somewhere... Akira was at his place and saw you...
“What did you tell him?” You asked quietly, looking into Sanzu's eyes again.
“That you'll even pay triple the price, but you won't give up the boy until you get bored.” He replied dispassionately and you lifted his hands to your mouth, immediately placing a few kisses on them. Sanzu's eyes widened. “What are you doing, Y/n?”
You pressed his knuckles harder against your mouth, closed your eyes for a moment and whispered. “God, Haru... You can't imagine how much I love you.”
The pink-haired man looked at you in silence. He didn't take his hands from yours and when you looked at him again, you saw a slight blush on his cheeks. “I wanted to kill you… I really did…”
"Never mind. I didn't expect anything else..."
“I didn't say I loved you…”
"You don't have to." You stroked his hands and kissed his knuckles again. “If you don't feel it…”
“Shut your fucking mouth.” He said quietly and you smiled involuntarily. “What are you happy about?”
“Because I can solve this case faster than I thought. Now that Kakucho has agreed to help me and we have Yata here... I'll get back to you faster.”
“What makes you think I still want you with me?” Sanzu's tone was cold again and the smile disappeared from your face and your heart skipped a beat.
You lowered your head and relaxed your fingers, allowing him to remove your hands, which he did. "I thought..."
"Really?" He leaned forward slightly and spoke softly. “I tolerate you because you are a good dog and like a good dog you love your owner.” He pinched your chin with his fingers and tilted your face up to look you in the eye. “Do you still love me?”
“Do you think that by treating me this way you will change my mind?” You answered his question with your own. “You want me with you as soon as possible. Otherwise we wouldn't be talking at this point.”
Sanzu looked at you with a dispassionate expression, and you wondered how many pills he had swallowed in the hour since talking to Akira. Suddenly the man smiled, and his thumb traced your lower lip.
"So be it." He let go of your chin and laughed softly. “I just wanted to check your reaction, that's all.” His tone was amused, like he pulled the perfect joke on you and something inside you snapped.
You grabbed his smiling face in both hands and pulled him towards you, placing a gentle, long kiss on his soft lips. You wanted to wait until a more romantic moment, but you had to show him that you weren't joking about your feelings for him.
You broke the kiss and pulled away so you could look at Saznu's face. His eyes were dilated and his pupils covered almost the entire iris. His face was deeply flushed and his slightly parted lips were red.
You gently stroked his burning cheeks with your fingers. “Maybe this will make you realize that I really am not joking…”
“Y/n…” He stammered, but you silenced him with another kiss.
This time his hands were on your shoulders, his slim, long fingers digging into your muscles. The pain didn't make you break away from the pink-haired man's lips. On the contrary - you attacked them with more passion, which made Haru let out a quiet moan and respond to your kiss with the same.
One of his hands moved to the nape of your neck, then a little higher, and his fingers tightened on your hair, which he tugged lightly, pleasing you. You rose from your knees and, still passionately kissing Sanzu's lips, wrapped your arms around his torso and pressed against him so hard that he almost had to lie down on the bed. He didn't protest.
You broke away from his lips so you could take a breath and almost immediately started kissing his jaw, and Haru's heavy, quick breathing made the blood in your veins start pumping even faster.
“Y/n…Fuck, wait…” He pushed you away slightly and you could barely focus on his eyes. "Not here..."
"What?" Your voice was hoarse and you couldn't hear much over the sound of your blood.
“I said, not here.” Sanzu repeated a little louder, licked his lips and took a shaky breath, trying to calm himself down. “I appreciate that you find me so attractive that you could fuck me right here and now, but… Fuck, I'd rather be in a more private place than a bedroom in a hideout.”
Your breathing began to calm down as the meaning of Sanzu's words began to sink in. You let go of him and his back immediately fell onto your bed, his hands covering his flushed face.
“Sorry... I forgot a bit.” You joked, rubbing your hand over the back of your neck.
Haru's muffled laughter reached your ears and when he revealed his face, you smiled. He was happy. Fuck, he was really happy and it was the most beautiful sight in the world for you...
“Let's finish our work and get out of here, okay Y/n?” Sanzu asked, extending his hand towards you, which you grabbed and helped him get out of bed.
“I don't think about anything else. Believe me, Haru..."
The pink-haired man laughed again, picked up his katana and walked towards the door with a spring in his step. “See you later, Y/n! Don’t fuck anyone!”
When you were alone in the bedroom, you remembered with horror why you came there.
“Fuck, Kakucho!”

5th Review - Ohsama Sentai Kingohger
I have watched 14 seasons of Power Rangers, and 18 seasons of Super Sentai, aaaaand…this is the best. Like, I don’t even know if anyone else even competes. It’s that good. Which is weird, right? This is the CG-heavy bug season, and yet it stands above all the others? It’s truly a marvel of Tokusatsu that they can take these bizarre, wacky concepts and forge something fantastic out of them. But we’re not here for my platitudes, we’re here for me to give my thoughts on a show.
The Good: Something I really like about the characters in general is they all embody a negative characteristic of leadership, but turn it on its head, allowing them to display both the the negatives aspects on occasion, but also how you can spin those impulses for the betterment of yourself and the people around you.
Gira is Power. It’s not uncommon for stories to portray a character as seeking power for the purposes of protecting others. In fact, it’s very common. But Gira portraying himself as the villain, acting as the tyrant, added a nice flavor to it that made it stand on its own. Gira does fill the role of the red chosen one in many ways, but because of the show’s focus on unity and teamwork, he always feels more like a perspective character, which I think is a positive. On top of that, he’s very kind, earnest, and the most down-to-earth of the kings, adding to that perspective character role. His kingdom of Shuggodom also had a lot of side characters, such as the orphans, his brother and attendants, and the angry yelling guy. “He’s louder! He’s the real one!” was such a great payoff to that character’s existence. Also, any Sentai character that can unironically say “I will hear you scream,” is pretty cool.
Yanma is Pride. He rarely backs down or bows to anyone else. And while this can sometimes get him in trouble, the people he stands up to are always more powerful than he is. It’s often more determination than anything, and that determination gets the team through many tough situations. As for characterization, Yamna is a genius, but also very childish and a bit petty. The pranks he pulls are always very silly. His aide, Shiokara, was also a nice foil; childish in nature, but serious in role. And it was nice how he and Gira really did end up being good friends by the end.
Tumblr media
Ran is Selfishness. Unsurprisingly; she says it all the time. But while she occasionally displays true selfishness, it is often used as a mask for selflessness. She selfishly wants to help people, but is portrayed as selfishness, which is funny in many situations. She was a majoritively serious character, which made the moments she leaned into humor all the funnier. I also liked that she was part of two goes-nowhere romances with both Yanma and Rita. She’s the beautiful one, so it makes sense romance would be part of her themes, even if underplayed. And Sebastian was one of the sillier aides, with a ridiculous backstory to match that silly nature.
Kaguragi is Deceit. We all expect those in power to lie, and Kaguragi does frequently, constantly switching sides and misinforming his allies to get his way. But at the end of the day, everything he does is for the sake of his people. And because of the scope of his deception, he is privy to more information than the rest of the cast, being aware of both the teams’ and Racles’ plans. Speaking of Racles, his sister was also a surprisingly big player at times, getting more attention than his personal aide, even if not seen as often. And his aide, Kuroda, being a Kuroko, filled his role as more of a background character, though did have a distinct personality that worked with his faceless appearance.
Tumblr media
Rita is Authority. Not only is she a king, but also the world’s judge, holding power over even the other kings, making her the absolute authority on Terra. But she never abuses her power; always seeking to be a neutral party in all goings-on. Also, this series got pretty sapphic at times, and Rita was always at the center of it. Good to know the writers are back at it again after all the mandates they suffered through with 40-42. And while there were some off-and-on moments with Ran, most of the time it was with Morphonia, who was, again, a nice foil, being much less motivated and more prone to her own desires. Though, of all the aides, she probably grows the most, eventually accepting her role as the next king of Gokkan, which she was less interested in accepting compared to everyone else.
Even our main villains follow these trends to some degree. Deathnarok shows the negative aspects of all these traits, but is later shown to be doing so begrudgingly, while Dugded also does, but in a very childish way. Which is almost worse than just being a normal bad king, because it’s weirdly more sincere?
And Jeramie is Eccentricity. He is aloof and wordy and doesn’t act like a good king would, playing a role more similar to one of a king content with his power, but his attitude and ability are separate things, as he is shown to have great battle prowess and leadership abilities. Jeramie has his own things going on with being half Bugnarok, so it was really just flair given to his character, and to add a bit of confusion to his introduction. And while Gerojim wasn’t as present a character as the other aides, he did provide a very distinct visual compared to everyone else, especially after all the Bugnarok were relegated to just the foot soldiers. I’ll also add, having Jeramie be the narrator, even before his introduction, really helped everything feel cohesive and intentional.
Tumblr media
Speaking of that cohesion, that’s part of what makes the story so great. Every episode contributes to the ongoing story. Even those episodes that seem like filler have at least a small addition to it. Especially after the last few years, where episodic has been the priority, this drastic shift is very welcome. And there are tiny hints at the bigger picture even in the early episodes, like Racles missing all of Gira’s vitals for instance. I may go through the show a second time to see how many instances of foreshadowing I can find at a later date.
And while the finale was good, the penultimate episode was amazing, calling back to almost every character we met over the course of the entire show, including ones only seen in the movies and Racles’ mini-series. It was a great way to cap off this already good show.
And lastly,  I love the presentation of this season. So much of this season is filmed on green screen to both amazing and hilarious effect. It’s honestly very impressive some of the stuff they managed to accomplish. BoonBoomger seems a lot more grounded, so it’s unlikely this trend will be further polished in the next season, but they did very well in the time they had.
Tumblr media
The Bad: While the effects and sets are a lot of fun, they aren’t always great. They sometimes have difficulty tracking walking or running while moving the camera. Some other effects, such as wide shots, or fire tend to not look good, but it doesn’t take away from the overall experience.
Also, more than any season in recent memory, the action was occasionally hard to follow. All the effects, plus the CG backgrounds, plus the constantly more ridiculous and interesting camera angles Sentai likes to use add up to some very messy scenes on occasion.
I’m also a little sad we dropped the gear gimmicks. While I’m not upset to see them go, I was kinda hoping we’d continue with it until the 50th anniversary where we’d have a big payoff. It may have originally been in the cards, but I only say that because of the rustic machine nature of the Shugods and the general design work or Shuggodam. Remember, toy development takes a while, and while I don’t know the over-under on BanNam’s cycle, I know Hasbro has gone on record that if they rush a product they can get it done in 9 months. Kingohger was probably in the concepting phase during early Donbrothers at the latest, so it wouldn’t be surprising if a few small references to the idea were still there if it was the original intention. And out next season is a vehicle season, which is perfect for mechanics and gears.
Tumblr media
Though I’d say the biggest issue is it’s just Super Sentai. For all my praise and bravado about it at the start, it’s not like Shin Godzilla, where I can show it to someone who normally wouldn’t be into Tokusatsu and have them walk away enjoying it; if you don’t like Sentai, this season isn’t going to convince you otherwise. For example, I tried showing it to @jaybuilds, and he just wasn’t into it. It’s fine, it happens, but don’t expect that one person you’ve always been trying to convince to watch the show to see it and have it convert them, is all.
The BoonBoomening: I actually haven’t seen anything for BoonBoomger yet. Just the costumes and toy listings. And as someone who focuses on the toys, I’ve seen quite a few gripes that BoonBoom Robo isn’t articulated. But, like, it’s a heavily gimmicky toy, so I get it. If you’re not going to do a gimmick, articulation is fine, but I can understand getting rid of some articulation for a fun play pattern. These are for kids, remember?
Overall, this was a great season. While I enjoy most seasons of Super Sentai, this one in particular had everything I tend to love and want out of a season. Makes me slightly less upset at myself for buying every Megazord associated with this season. Slightly.
As for my usual Megazord recommendations, this is a real all of nothing series. Either go for King-Ohger alone, or everyone for God King-Ohger. You only really need one of each, so you can skip all the premium versions, unless the colors do it for you. And the new Kyoryujin and the upcoming remolds are their own beast to consider separately to the rest of the line.

You are really in the roll, on the unhinged! reader LOL.
This made me think that Gun goes back to Japan as he was called by his clan leader. And later found out that he is being force to met his fiancée (which he been avoiding since he was young), and tada his fiancée the unhinged! Reader. Which make him want to run away even more LOL.
I kinda think about the backstory of unhinged!reader and why she is unhinged. She is actually a proper and shy lady (also popular as a fiancée to every large business or yakuza heirs) when she is little, she is chosen to be Gun's Fiancée which is she happy but everytime they have an appointment of meeting each other Gun always too busy or avoid it like a plague which made Reader depressed if she is worthy. Until she met her badass unhinged senior who just give her an advise "Men like those loves fighting like it's thier fuel, so better yah be stronger than them no it better for you to the Strongest so they will submit to you."
Woo ty for tolerating my bs as usual!
I think we're branching off into different Unhinged Readers HC. OMG what if there are multiple crazy strong women and they find EACH OTHER. AND THEY DESTROY EACH OTHER?! Dude like yours would try and fuck mine up for fucking with Gun!
I came across the headcanon of Goo being completely normal, but just an amazing fighter and super overpowered with a weapon and I fell in love with that...
Unhinged Reader hc
(the original ask wanted unhinged so...)
Sorry for the orphan trope, but she doesn't have any living family
Or any that would put up with her level of batshit insane
She bounced around since she was young. Care homes, orphanages, streets
It's obvious something is wrong with her so she's been allowed to fall through the cracks in society
She's a survivor through and through
Apart from aaaaaall that. She's hasn't really had any training? Honestly she's just a freak of nature (think one punch man)
Her family, if anyone could trace her ancestry, doesn't have any special abilities. They're not fighters.
Nameless, faceless nobodies
Developmental years have left her stunted
Emotionally and socially, she doesn't really get it. But she can fake it if it gives her an advantage
Tbf she's a bit psychotic anyway so she doesn't actually form any bonds properly with people
Not interested in any alliance
Sure she could play demure and shy but she wouldn't be able to keep her true nature under cover forever. Some part of the insanity would leak into everyday life
So it's better for her just be forthright with her intentions
Loves playing mind games, but not hiding who she is
Unapologetically fucked up and unhinged
Appearance wise, she just seems completely normal?
She can keep her threatening aura under wraps
If she didn't want you to, you wouldn't think there was anything up with her. Just another face in the crowd
And that makes it easier for her to slip away into the shadows
So why is she crazy? It's just in her nature 🤷🏻‍♀️
(Unhinged F!Reader: Gun Park | Goo Kim | Samuel Seo | Samuel Seo Part 2 | James Lee/DG | Jinyoung Park | Eli Jang | Tom Lee | Ryuhei Kuroda)

D4DJ Voice Actor's and Headcanon Voice Actors.
Tumblr media
This will be a little different than my usual VA headcanon posts because this will actually feature both canon AND headcanon VA's from this series.
The only instance where D4DJ has been dubbed in English is the first season of the anime, which primarily featured Happy Around, Peaky P-Key and Photon Maiden, and while the other units made cameos and had voiced scenes, they didn't really get the spotlight. I wanted to include all the characters in the post though, because I very quickly fell in love with this series and the storylines, and characters sing to me, pun not intended.
So this is kind of a roundup of the voice actors of the characters in English, as well as who I think would voice the characters who DON'T appear in English. The rules are the same as ever.
The most important thing to remember is that the unnoficial VA's are NOT CANON. They are HEADCANONS ONLY. It’s just a hypothetical situation. If the characters were voiced, this is who I imagine would voice them.
Characters who are NOT official will be marked with an asterisk (*) to distinguish them from the official ones.

Round 1, Side A, Poll 9
Tumblr media
Liquorice Momomiya/Mew Liquorice ( @hikaruhoshina ) VS. Olivia Fawkes-Ramirez ( @cherry-bomb-ships )
-----
(art by hikaruhoshina)
What is your baby's name? Pronouns?: Liquorice Momomiya/Mew Liquorice (she/her)
Is your baby from a fandom or original?: Tokyo Mew Mew oc
How old is your baby?: 13
Tell us about your baby!: She was created by the aliens in the story as an artificial human, as having a human fight against the humans was seen as a “fighting fire with fire” and she was trained as a warrior for this purpose. However, a lot of the aliens treated her poorly due to her human appearance and she deluded herself into thinking she was an alien to deal with her treatment.
She came to Earth with the aliens Quiche, Tart and Pie to destroy the human race. There, she ended up becoming infused with the DNA of the Mariana Fruit Bat and became Mew Liquorice which made her very happy as she had different ears and could fly like the other aliens. She became a double agent for the aliens and joined Tokyo Mew Mew under the name “Liquorice Kuroda” and set about to destroy Tokyo Mew Mew from the inside. She joined Ichigo’s school and pretended to grow close to her.
Overtime she began to find she had actually come to care for Ichigo and Tokyo Mew Mew and began to doubt the aliens plans and whether humans were truly as bad as she had believed. After being revealed as a double agent, she leaves the aliens and fully commits to being part of fighting them with Tokyo Mew Mew. Ichigo’s family adopts her and she changes her name to Liquorice Momomiya.
She originally tries to act as a popular and friendly girl with the Mews and other humans but is two faced, being actually calculating and devious but also acts somewhat like a fish out of water. After leaving the aliens, she struggles with coming to terms with what her true personality is.
Anything else you want to add? No.

What is your baby's name? Pronouns?: Olivia Fawkes-Ramirez (she/her)
Is your baby from a fandom or original?: Fandom, my fankid with Junkrat (Overwatch)
How old is your baby?: 5 years old
Tell us about your baby!: Olivia, like I said earlier, is my fankid with Junkrat. Canon-wise, we adopted her when she was 3 years old, almost four, and since then a year and a half has passed and she's aged to five years. Although we adopted her in the UK, she is actually of Irish descent. She lives with me, Jamie, and Mako in our cozy little cabin out in the English countryside (we originally built it there to evade police, but since Jamie joined Overwatch, his name was cleared.) Olivia is shy and reserved, which is a stark contrast to her parents' attitudes, but we don't let that deter us and we do our best to accommodate her. She sometimes struggles to use her words and can be nonverbal on certain days, and when she does talk she's always very polite and soft spoken. I think that she imagines herself as a little princess who has to speak and act properly, but of course like any kid, she enjoys having fun with her parents and with Uncle Mako. Her favorite animal is pigs (much to Jamie's dismay, as she's tried to convince her to like rats more many times) and her favorite thing to do is play dress-up, usually getting everyone else involved too. I definitely have more to say but I may have rambled for long enough, she doesnt have any cool powers or magic or anything but she's our daughter and we love her 🥺💖
Anything else you want to add?: I may have rambled enough in the summary part so just to recap, Olivia's our beautiful precious little girl and while she may be soft-spoken, the love our family has is anything but. 💖💜💖

Hello Master Detective!
Hope u are well. I recently rewatched episodes where Conan and the FBI worked together against the Black Organization which made me think about their alliance. Conan does not share everything regarding his investigation with FBI (or Akai) but if he is certain about some information and he thinks the FBI should be aware of it, he lets them know about it. Instances like him sharing the boss's email address (not sure if that happened off screen or if Akai already had the contact from his time at the B.O but they know about the email address which Conan discovered), telling Jodie about Amuro being Bourbon, rushing to tell Akai that their agents are being Killed in or tell Akai about 17 year Amanda case as soon as he he heared from Kuroda.
The FBI seems to be less open in sharing what they know than Conan is, but even in the FBI , Jodie tells Conan about things she feels he should know like telling him about Bourbon as he could be a threat to Haibara. But what I found weird is that Akai knew Bourbon, he could have told Conan about how he looks instead of waiting for Conan to figure it out himself. Especially when he poses such a threat to Haibara , Conan should have been told about his appearance from Akai. During the Detective Nocturne case, he saw Bourbon and knew he is around Conan. Even during the time Akai was sharing information about RUM , Conan had to listen from a listening device. Even when, Conan has provided all his allies - Professor, his parents to Akai whose help he often gets, he does not seem to share his Intel with Conan that much which I kinda don't like
I can understand he maybe doesn't want to share that much to an outsider, but having seen Conan as an expert schemer , a great detective, he should be told information that is necessary for him to know.
What are ur thoughts on this?
I think it's simply in Conan's and Subaru's personality to work alone and shoulder all the burden. Only when they deem it crucial to share the information, whether it's by acknowledging that they can't progress further by themselves or for the sake of protecting their close ones, do they seem to let others in. Haibara highlighted this personality trait of Shinichi as well in File 336 (Which can also be applied to Shuuichi):

KnY OC
The first of the two KnY OCs I have.
Tumblr media
Name: Shigure Kuroda Gender: Male Age: 22 Birthday: October 2 (Libra) Height: 175cm Weight: 70kg Hair color: Black Eye color: Green   Affiliation: Demon Slayer Corps (whereabouts unknown) Position: Cloud Hashira (formerly) Combat Style: Breath of Cloud
Family: Eijiro Kuroda (Father) Miho Kuroda (Mother) Shiori Kuroda (Younger sister)
Personality: A defiant son but a caring and protective older brother to Shiori. Shigure repeatedly refused to inherit the Kuroda farm business much to his father’s dismay. And even though his father prohibited him from becoming a slayer he still chose to become one.
He is generally easygoing and appears to not take his slayer duties seriously. This was especially evident when he constantly made advances towards female slayers and kakushis by wooing them with insincere compliments. Shigure suddenly stopped hitting on women after meeting Kanae and this change shocked many within the corps.
He can be deceitful and hides his true intentions from others causing the slayers and hashiras to be cautious around him. He does have a softer side and is generous towards children where he spends his own money to buy them gifts. He especially does this to the children who were rescued from demons, (like Kiyo, Sumi, and Naho from the Butterfly Estate) and those who reside at the Kuroda farmlands. He is calm and calculating as a fighter and these traits were what made his father deem him most worthy of becoming heir.
Background:
Shigure openly renounced his inheritance to the Kuroda family business and fortune because he wanted to build his own path and insisted on having Shiori be chosen as the family’s successor instead. After he mastered Cloud Breathing, he proclaimed that he would become a hashira for the money. This caused his father to be furious so he locked him inside a warehouse without food and water and he would not be released until he took his word back.
Shiori then freed Shigure and told him that she is sad with how their father is treating him and asked why their father had to be so harsh. Shigure knew that their father wanted to protect them and would rather have them live peaceful lives. The other truth that Shigure couldn’t tell her was how a demon once attacked their land, but Shiori was too young to remember that event. He hated how helpless he was at that time and could only watch their servants protect them until their father defeated the demon.
After he passed the selection exam and returned home, Shigure and his father had a heated argument. It ended with his father declaring how he would be disowned and was no longer allowed to return home until he quit being a demon slayer. Shigure accepted it and chose to stay with the corps. He climbed the ranks and eventually reached hashira position where he would meet Kanae.
Shigure had learned during his travels as a slayer that he found people to be predictable. He then developed a skill for persuasion though he mostly used it to sweet talk to women. But upon knowing Kanae he found her to be unpredictable because of her pity towards demons. He tried to understand how she could even feel that way towards those ruthless creatures. When he begins to recognize his developing feelings for the Flower Pillar, he struggles to reveal his more honest and open self.
Additional info:
Shigure’s crow is named Takeshi. Takeshi is a chonky bird. (Chonky! Not fat.) His favorite food is kenchinjiru (soup made with root vegetables and tofu). His hobbies are reading poetry and fishing.

Rum’s subordinate theory
—————-——(Haneda problem)———————
Tumblr media
(File 1066)
The ASACA song and Soul Detective cases demonstrate that the BO continues to view the Haneda case as significant. Despite their fixation, RUM disguised himself as a sushi chef to monitor Kogoro, rather than to investigate the cause of his mistake 17 years prior.
Tumblr media
(File 1060)
In this arc, we have seen RUM utilizing other agents to accomplish tasks that would prove difficult for him to complete alone. For instance, he attempted to investigate the Kudou situation but was unsuccessful, so he relied on the assistance of Bourbon. He also utilized Vermouth to investigate the Yuusaku TV case.
Gosho has established that RUM uses agents to his advantage. Given his continued interest in the Haneda case, as evidenced by the BO's actions, it's natural that he would use an unnamed agent to keep an eye on the situation. This would explain why he has the time to investigate Kogoro and keep the Haneda case as a secondary concern.
Tumblr media
(File 423)
Following Pisco's death, the Nomiguichi family disappeared, and the BO burned Pisco's house. Haibara states in File 242, "All suspicious individuals are erased... that's their style." This statement was further expanded in File 243 to state, "If they are aware of your involvement with the organization, it will undoubtedly become a heavy burden for them.
Tumblr media
(File 422)
My interpretation of this is that the BO places a strong emphasis on eliminating loose ends. Given RUM's mistake in the 17-year-old case, this emphasis would likely extend to that situation as well. The BO is operating in Japan, and the only surviving family member of the victim in that case is Haneda Kouji. However, there is no evidence of any attempt to harm or even monitor this family.
Shukichi became a member of the Haneda family and even followed in Kouji's footsteps. It's possible that the Hanedas' wealth and influence, which provide them with connections to organizations like MI6, have created a protective shield for themselves in case the perpetrators of their son's death come looking for them, making it difficult for the BO to infiltrate.
In conclusion, the BO's reputation for tying up loose ends is well established, as demonstrated by the events following Pisco's death. This precedent would not likely be disregarded in a case where the number two of the organization made a mistake. Therefore, it's reasonable to assume that the BO may be keeping an eye on the Hanedas.
—————————(Intro cases)—————————
Gosho has established a pattern in the RUM arc where he introduces characters that are crucial to the plot. In these cases, he employs symbolism and provides hints through references to give readers a deeper understanding of the character's role in the story.
Tumblr media
(File 916)
In the introduction case for Kuroda, he mentioned that he had heard rumors about Conan from the National Police Agency (NPA). As a result, he referred to Conan as "the sleeping Kogoro's bag of wisdom." It is known that Kuroda acts as Bourbon's handler within the NPA.
Tumblr media
(File 975)
In Wakita's intro case, the spirit horse reference symbolizes RUM. We now know, for the most part, that Wakita is RUM.
Tumblr media
(File 966)
Rumi's introduction case centered around the discovery of a wealthy person's skeleton ten years after their death by the Detective Boys. The headmaster of the case mentioned the need to atone for one's sins, symbolizing Rumi's desire for the BO to pay for their sin of killing Haneda Kouji. The references to Whiskey and Ebisu in the case also hold significance. Whiskey symbolizes the BO, and Ebisu symbolizes good luck. This has since been proven true, as Rumi has an APTX list, connecting her to the BO, and has Kouji's good luck charm.
In conclusion, Gosho intentionally includes important information in character introduction cases that are related to the plot, providing readers with an understanding of what to expect from the new characters.
Tumblr media
(File 981)
Gosho appears to have intentionally emphasized the unlucky nature of Friday the 13th in Iori's introductory case. Through interactions between Iori and Bourbon, the reasons for the superstitions surrounding the date were highlighted, with Iori going so far as to interrupt Bourbon to further emphasize the point. This emphasis on the unlucky day could have been done to prompt readers to question its true significance. Additionally, Bourbon mentioned that Friday the 13th only occurs twice a year, as if Gosho wanted to remind readers of another instance in the series when the unlucky day was present.
Tumblr media
(File 606)
The main timeline of Detective Conan takes place over the course of one year, and the only other time that Friday the 13th occurred was when Akai faked his death, which was related to the BO. In this case, Gosho continues to follow his formula of using symbolism and references in plot-related character introduction cases. The unlucky day of Friday the 13th symbolizes that the introduced character will bring misfortune, and this character is also related to the BO, as previously seen on this day in the past. There is also a subtle reference to the Iroha Sushi case, in which RUM was involved, further reinforcing this point.
—————————-(Chance)—————————-
In super digest book 100+, Gosho was asked about what led Iori to become Momiji's butler in the Ooka family, and he responded by saying that it was something to look forward to. This highlights the importance of Iori's role in the plot. As the BO places a significant emphasis on tying up loose ends, it is natural for them to want to do the same in the Haneda case.Given the plot, it is likely that Iori is the only person who can accomplish this task. Until recently, Gosho has kept Iori's role as a mere side character, leading readers to believe he is not important. However, this is likely because Gosho is saving Iori for something unique.Infiltrating the Haneda family might be difficult, so the next best thing would be to intercept the communication bridge between them and their associates to gather intel. Iori's role as Momiji's butler in the Ooka family is likely to be significant in this regard.
Tumblr media
(File 1042)
Iori has the means and influence to keep an eye on them using this method because the lover code case revealed his accessibility to non-public information regarding them.
Tumblr media
(File 1040)
We can also see that Iori has the ability to be very persuasive towards Momiji. He gives her the necessary arguments to overcome any obstacles that she may encounter. This shows that he is not just a passive servant, but he is capable of providing valuable input that can move Momiji forward. If his true intention is to gather intelligence on the Haneda family, then he would have the ability to easily manipulate Momiji and extract information from the Ooka family as needed.
—————————(Scotch)———————————
The RUM arc started with the notion that the organization would try to eradicate any lingering spies. Bourbon also mentioned Scotch for the first time here.
Tumblr media
(File 1090)
During the resolution of the scriptwriter's murder case, Iori made a significant remark, saying, "It appears that he is being held back by his past ties." This statement referred to Bourbon's actions. Iori was pointing out the latter's recklessness and how it had made him appear suspicious. By mentioning this, Iori is highlighting Bourbon's weakness. Conan also reinforced this point by mentioning the PSB on the same page.
Tumblr media
(File 898)
If my assessment is correct, Iori gave himself away in his interaction with Kuroda. It's important to recall that the BO knew that there was a mole among their ranks, but only knew their face and not their name. This parallel is created by Gosho. If someone had tipped off the BO about Scotch's identity, that person must have been close enough to identify the NOCS within the PSB network, but not their real name. Similarly, Iori referred to Bourbon as the blond-haired man, indicating that he doesn't know him on a first-name basis. However, he was able to identify Bourbon's weakness, which suggests that he had in-depth knowledge about Bourbon's infiltration of the BO, specifically regarding the Scotch situation.
Tumblr media
(File 897)
The anonymous tip must have come from the NPA/PSB because people from other organizations would need more information to identify spies in the network. For example, Akai suspected Bourbon but could only verify after learning about his nickname, zero.
Tumblr media
(File 1090)
Gosho's revealing of the dark silhouette during Iori and Kuroda's interaction was a strategic move for two reasons. Firstly, it redirected readers' focus away from Iori's telling comments. Secondly, if the shadowy figure is indeed Yasuharu Haneda, it reinforces the notion that the BO has a mole closely monitoring the Haneda family. To condense the idea, the anonymous informant who revealed Scotch's identity could only provide a facial description. The FBI required more than just a face and suspicious behavior to identify a spy within the NPA. This suggests that the BO might have a member within the NPA/PSB network who could get close enough to identify the NOCS but not reveal their name. Iori, who doesn't know Bourbon's name, was able to expose him as a spy and reveal his vulnerability. If someone did tip off the BO, Gosho could be drawing a parallel between Iori and the traitor who exposed Scotch.

Yee finished my drawing of my Tokyo Mew Mew oc, Mew Liquorice, in the return/new style! I haven’t drawn in like a year so I hope it looks ok. She has the DNA of a Mariana Fruit Bat!
Liquorice is one of my oldest oc’s and I’ve changed her backstory a lot over the years but the current version of it is that she was created by the aliens as an artificial human as having a human fight against the humans was seen as a “fighting fire with fire” and she was trained as a warrior for this purpose. However, a lot of the aliens treated her poorly due to her human appearance and she deluded herself into thinking she was an alien to deal with her treatment.
She grew up with Quiche, Pie and Tart being like her family and she came to Earth with them. There, she ended up becoming Mew Liquorice which made her very happy as she had different ears and could fly like the other aliens.
After being revealed as a double agent after the Tokyo Tower event, she leaves the aliens and fully commits to being part of fighting them with Tokyo Mew Mew.

The Muses of 1980s JJ
JJ and the Rise of the Akamoji-kei
Tumblr media
In the early 1980s, the most glitzy clubs, restaurants, and boutiques were taken over by "JJ girls," and JJ's influence was palpable.
During this period, the magazine shifted away from relying on haafu models and instead featured full-Japanese women as its primary models. This shift represented a move from exotic beauty to models who resembled the average reader more closely. Many of these models were also active college students attending prestigious institutions.
The first JJ muse of that period was 20-year-old Ryoko Takahashi, who replaced Marie Krabin as the cover model in 1981. Takahashi possessed a refined and classic look that seamlessly complemented the "newtra" fashion style heavily promoted by the magazine.
She got married and retired when she was still in her 20s. After a long hiatus, she returned in the mid-2000s to Kobunsha fashion titles targeted at women in their 40s and 50s. She now goes by the name Ryoko Tamai.
Tumblr media
21-years-old Chikako Kaku took over as JJ's cover girl in 1982. That same year, she made her debut as an actress in an afternoon drama. From a traditional wealthy family, she graduated from the Joshibi University of Arts and Sciences Junior College.
Although her tenure as the primary model lasted only a year, Chikako made a return as a cover girl for three issues in 1985 and also appeared several other times to promote her acting projects. Remarkably, at the age of 60, she continues to be active in the entertainment industry, maintaining her roles as both an actress and a model.
Tumblr media
Chieko Kuroda, known as Chieko Kashimoto at the time, stands out as perhaps the most prominent JJ model of the 1980s. While most models typically held the position of cover girl for about a year, she maintained her role for over two years.
Chieko made her debut in the magazine while still a student at Seijo Junior College. Initially, she was discovered by the editor in charge of the sports fashion section, and her appearances were primarily confined to the sports pages. However, readers quickly grew fond of her, and her presence in the magazine expanded. Ultimately, in 1983, she was appointed as JJ's cover girl. Her rise to prominence paralleled the ascent of the editor who had initially spotted her, and he eventually became the editor-in-chief.
At the age of 24, Chieko retired from modeling and pursued a conventional career. She got married at 28, and the following year, she welcomed her daughter into the world.
In 1995, a decade after her departure from modeling, Kobunsha decided to launch a groundbreaking fashion publication, the first one aimed at married women in their 30s. The former JJ editor-in-chief who had originally discovered her invited Chieko to lead this innovative project. She accepted the offer and came out of retirement. The magazine, VERY, achieved tremendous success, reestablishing Chieko as a fashion influencer for women in her age group.
As of 2022, she continues to be actively involved in the entertainment industry, working as a model, actress, and TV personality.
Tumblr media
In 1985, Towako Kimijima, then known as Towako Yoshikawa, became the new "signboard model" for JJ.
Similar to her predecessors at JJ, Towako received her education in prestigious institutions. Her journey into the world of modeling began during her junior high school years, where she appeared in influential teen publications like MC Sister and Seventeen. At the age of 19, she was appointed as the star model for JJ. Towako concluded her tenure with the magazine in 1987, and the subsequent year marked her debut as an actress.
Following her JJ graduation, she had an eventful career marked by a lot of family drama.
In 1995, she publicly announced her marriage to dermatologist Akira Kimijima, who happened to be the son of the renowned fashion designer Ichiro Kimijima. Although initially planning to retire from the entertainment industry after their lavish wedding, their union instead opened the doors to a series of family dramas that drew intense media scrutiny. Akira, raised by his grandmother as an out-of-wedlock child, found himself entangled in conflicts with his siblings over their roles in the Ichiro fashion empire. Tragically, Ichiro Kimijima passed away from a heart attack in 1996, further intensifying the feud. Eventually, Akira assumed control of his father's empire, though it was laden with substantial debt.
Towako's personal charisma proved to be the savior of the family's fortunes. Her striking beauty and impeccable style allowed her to successfully establish herself as a leader in the beauty and fashion industry for women. Her cosmetics and skincare line enjoyed remarkable success, solidifying her position as an authoritative figure on aging gracefully and embracing girly, "conservative" fashion. What made Towako particularly groundbreaking was her ability to maintain popularity among women in their 20s, despite the ageist nature of Japanese society, while she herself was in her late 30s.
Now in her late 50s, Towako is a mother to two adult daughters. Her cosmetics and skincare line continues to thrive and is distributed through her husband's company.
Tumblr media
Analyzing the history of JJ cover models reveals a significant cultural shift between the 1970s and the 1980s. Interestingly, every cover muse from the 1970s has long since retired from public life, with limited information available about their activities after leaving the magazine. During that era, the "shelf life" of a young model was quite brief, and societal expectations often pushed women to marry at a young age and leave their careers behind. Even Momoe Yamaguchi, a top idol and pop star of the 1970s, chose to retire at the height of her career in 1980 to fully dedicate herself to married life.
In stark contrast, nearly all of the 1980s stars who graced JJ's covers remain active in various fields. While a few, such as Reiko Tatami and Chieko Kuroda, briefly retired, both eventually returned to modeling once their children had grown up.
However, some of JJ's stars from the 1980s have chosen to maintain a degree of anonymity in their post-modeling lives. This is particularly true for Kae Miyadai, JJ's "super dokumo" from the early 1980s. Miyadai is the first and only "dokumo" to ever grace the magazine cover, which she did 3 times between 1987 and 1988. Since then, however, very little is known about her.
Tumblr media
Risako Miura, formerly known as Risako Shitara, held the distinction of being the last JJ signboard model of the 1980s. Her modeling journey began in 1987, and she maintained her status as the magazine's top model until 1991, marking the longest tenure during that era. Interestingly, she appeared on the magazine's cover relatively few times, with just seven covers to her name. This was because her tenure coincided with a period when actresses and celebrities were prominently featured on the front covers.
Risako left a lasting impression on JJ's readership. Born in New York City and the daughter of a Mitsubishi director, she completed her education at Tamagawa University. In addition to her modeling career, she ventured into acting in the early '90s. In 1993, she married the renowned soccer star Kazuyoshi Miura in a lavish ceremony attended by numerous celebrities.
Following her marriage, Risako devoted herself to family life for a few years. However, in 2000, she stepped into the role of the main star for VERY Magazine, succeeding Chieko Kuroda, and continued in this capacity for six years. Since then, she has occasionally returned to modeling and remains active on social media platforms..
Tumblr media
Mariko Ishihara played a pivotal role in the evolving landscape of JJ magazine when actresses and young celebrities began dominating the magazine's covers. During the period spanning 1986 to 1987, she held the distinction of being the magazine's primary muse, gracing its cover on six separate occasions.
Ishihara's most distinctive feature was her thick eyebrows. In the late '70s, Brooke Shields, known for her appearances in commercials for cosmetic company Kanebo and others, gained immense popularity in Japan. Her signature unruly brows were an integral part of her appeal. Mariko Ishihara demonstrated that this striking look could also work on Japanese women, significantly influencing beauty standards of the era.
She is also widely remembered by her role in the TV drama "Fuzuroi no Ringotachi," which revolved around a group of college students navigating the complexities of love. As an actress, Ishihara projected an image of innocence combined with a wild and unpredictable streak. Over time, her untamed personality began to overshadow her acting career, and in recent decades, she has become more recognized for her involvement in media scandals. Nonetheless, her legacy as a fashion and beauty icon from her past remains indelible.
Tumblr media
In the summer of 1988, Fuji TV aired a drama called "Dakishimetai." The show style gained the moniker of "trendy drama" because everything in it was very trendy: the settings, the actors, and the outfits. It really captured the glamour of the bubble years of Japan. And it was a success, especially among young women, turning the show's lead actresses -- Yuko Asano and Atsuko Asano (who, despite the same last name, are not related) -- into the most prominent fashion influencers in the country.
Fueled by the "W Asano" boom, Atsuko and Yuko became cover girls of all akamoji titles between 1988 and 1990. And JJ was no exception. Atsuko graced JJ's cover 5 times, while Yuko (center) amassed 4 front covers, giving "W Asano" a total of 9 covers between 1989 and 1990.
Tumblr media
Honami Suzuki is the actress with the most JJ covers, gracing the front of the magazine on a remarkable 10 occasions spanning from 1987 to 1992.
Her first appearance was in the June 1987 issue, shortly after she debuted as an actress. Throughout her ascent, she kept being featured in the magazine. Honami finally reached mega-stardom in 1991 when she starred in "Tokyo Love Story," one of the most popular TV dramas of all time. At the peak of her popularity, she retributed the magazine support during her ascent, appearing 3 times on the cover. Her last appearance was in the October 1992 issue.
In the subsequent year, JJ departed from featuring celebrities and returned to showcasing their signboard models as cover girls starting from 1993.

Unlocked characters: Hideyoshi Toyotomi, Nene, Mitsunari Ishida, Hanbei Takenaka, Kiyomasa Katō, Masanori Fukushima
Sakon moved to the next phase of his plan. He set off with Guan Ping and Toyohisa Shimazu to gain the cooperation of Hideyoshi Toyotomi. They spot Kiyomori and Dong Zhuo up ahead at Hulao Gate.
As I stated previously, Nobunaga Oda originally appeared in both the Wei and Samurai Warriors stories for Part B, which is illogical and it robs Mitsunari Ishida of any relevance; in addition, it also robs Hideyoshi Toyotomi of prominence as he was only seen in the original games as an underling of Nobunaga. As such, Nobunaga and Nō only appear in the Wei story, leaving Hideyoshi and Mitsunari for the Samurai Warriors story.
Zhang Ren does not appear in this battle. Toyohisa Shimazu and Yoshihisa Shimazu will swap places in this battle, meaning the former will be defending the main camp alongside Guan Ping while the latter advances with Sakon.
The Hōjō officers among the enemy are replaced by Mōri officers and Hisahide Matsunaga will appear in place of Dong Zhuo.
When the Toyotomi Army arrives, Mitsunari Ishida, Masanori Fukushima and Kiyomasa Katō will appear alongside Hideyoshi Toyotomi, Nene and Hanbei Takenaka.
In the aftermath, Hideyoshi joins Sakon’s army. Sakon asks him to assist Mitsunari and Kenshin at Baidi Castle.
Chapter 15: Battle of Baidi Castle 白帝城の戦い
Coalition Army vs. Taira Army Allied characters: Kenshin Uesugi, Kagekatsu Uesugi, Aya, Mitsunari Ishida, Masanori Fukushima, Kiyomasa Katō, Hideyoshi Toyotomi, Nene, Hanbei Takenaka, Hideie Ukita, Muneshige Tachibana, Lu Meng, Gan Ning Enemy characters: Kiyomori Taira, Sun Wukong, Dong Zhuo, Kotarō Fūma
The alliance to prevent the resurrection of Orochi was finally complete. In response, Kiyomori quietly concentrated his forces at Baidi Castle. Believing that Kiyomori was now attempting to revive Orochi, Sakon immediately ordered Hideyoshi and Kenshin to attack Baidi Castle…
Kenshin, Kagekatsu and Aya will advance to Baidi Castle from the east, Mitsunari, Masanori and Kiyomasa will advance from the south and Hideyoshi, Nene and Hanbei will advance from the west. Muneshige Tachibana, Lu Meng and Gan Ning will appear as the ambush troops engaging Dong Zhuo’s officers in the central path to the northwest.
Defeat Kiyomori to win the battle, but he will say that it is too late…
In the aftermath, Sakon is depressed over his failure to prevent Orochi’s resurrection, but Fu Xi convinces Sakon to put his final plan in place to defeat Orochi. Shingen accepts Sakon’s offer to join him again on the battlefield.
Chapter 16: Battle of Sekigahara 関ヶ原の戦い
Coalition Army vs. Orochi Army Allied characters: Shingen Takeda, Sakon Shima, Fu Xi Enemy characters: Orochi X, Da Ji, Masamune Date, Kojūrō Katakura, Hisahide Matsunaga, Motonari Mōri, Takakage Kobayakawa
Unlocked characters: Kiyomori Taira
Some variations have been made for the Chapter 16 battles against Orochi X. In each faction’s version, they will fight four of Orochi’s main generals. In this version of the battle, those generals will be Da Ji, Masamune Date, Hisahide Matsunaga and Motonari Mōri.
Orochi had been resurrected and was surrounded by Da Ji and Masamune. The final battle lay ahead at Sekigahara…
Hisahide Matsunaga will appear in place of Keiji Maeda with his sneak attack unit in the northwest. At the same time, Motonari Mōri and Takakage Kobayakawa will also appear with their sneak attack unit in the centre. Due to the fog around Sekigahara, both sneak attack units will reveal themselves as they approach the main camp.
Defeat Da Ji and the officers outside the enemy camp, then enter the camp and defeat Orochi X to win the battle.
