it sounds so stupid but i’m shaking so much right now. i’m so scared and i’m terrified after the movie release and all the media going out. i’m beyond scared right now. gosho, Kaishin has been my lifeline and my support- my comfort ship for YEARS now. i can’t leave them, i never can- but because of this i’ve become so scared of talking about them to people, i’m scared of being cancelled or talked down to for being so attached to them as characters and especially as a ship. they helped me to get through some of my hardest times and now at my lowest again this happens. i feel like shit and again have to watch people bash them and state “isn’t it obvious” when every dcmk character resembles each other?

i love kaishin so much. i love kaito, i love shinichi.

detective and thief dynamic has always been my favourite…

they’re my comfort ship. i have no one to talk to, roleplay with or share my love for them to. it’s so lonely and this only made it worse. i don’t want to be delusional and say the movie isn’t canon or what not but please… if there’s anyone who’s still staying please reach out. again it’s so stupid but they’re my comfort and attachment and i’ve been crying for an hour straight because i’ll still love kaishin with all my heart. i thought i’d have enough time to reach out and gain friends from the ship and fandom but i guess not!

this made me feel alone all over again.

Oh Mr. One Truth Prevails himself... People have written so many metas on this guy, what can I say that a hundred others haven't said better. I think everyone in the DetCo fandom has a different Shinichi in their hearts, based on what aspects of his character you fixate on/what you add/what's most important to you. Which I guess is true for all characters ever, but it feels especially true for Shinichi.

My slant for Shinichi tends to be as a foil to Kogoro, the two of them making each other's lives better by being a part of them and having far more common ground than not. I like Shinichi best when he sees that the people around him both want to and are able to help him, that he doesn't have to solve everything on his own. That maybe sometimes he needs and wants that support, whether it's literal or emotional. I like Shinichi when he gets to be silly and have fun, when he gets to be his genuine self even while he's stuck as Conan, but also when the countless traumas he's endured are actually taken serious. This kid's parents abandoned him at thirteen, he's been shot and stabbed and drugged and poisoned and nearly killed dozens of times. He was forced to hide in a coin locker and hyperventilated until he passed out. Antidote or not, he will never be the same, and he wasn't starting from a great place to begin with.

On a lighter note Shinichi is like the only character in any fandom I've ever been in who has like a dozen different ships and they all feel equally valid, he's gotta be one of the most shipable character of all time

Honestly, DCMK fandom is so old, that I remember this 1 unfinished fic that hasn't been updated since 2012.

Title: Fallout by Silversage

Location: ffn

Synopsis: A post "Raven Chaser" story. Because "The Raven Chaser" opened many doors…and Kaito worries. Animeverse/Movieverse.

I don't really remember about the story, but I remember the main plotline is Gosho boys got together to handle the Black org, and in the last updated chapter has them on the run.

Again, it's been years since I last read it, but I remember it was agreat fic

Another recomended fic is 'The Case' series by Mirror and Image. Again, it's one of the older fic in ffn.

1. The Case of Hidden Epidemic

Conan has stumbled across a mystery. This time the victims are much closer: the students of his elementary school. With Genta and Ayumi hospitalized, Conan will need to solve this case quickly. But then Ran gets hospitalized.

2. The Magic Bullet Murder Case

As always Conan stumbles across another body; and this time the prime suspect is this high school kid named Kuroba Kaito. Sequel to The Case of the Hidden Epidemic.

3. The Case of Haywire Heist

Kaitou Kid promised a heist to Hattori Heiji, and it's time to deliver. But Conan has been sitting on something and figuring out how to deal with it. When all collide at the heist, can things go well? No, of course not.

All three is finished between 2009 and 2011. Again, it's been a decade since I last read these fic. But I remember thinking, how did the Author write this??

A one-shot comedy. It's a must reread for me. Playing around with the corpse magnet joke, starring Conan and Heiji.

yes, i still can't stop thinking about them in those clothes. I love how they look and even though they are (finally) just "Kudo Shinichi" and "Kaito Kuroba" I feel like they still give "Conan" and "Kid" vibes anyway, just great *cheff kiss*

Villain X Hero AU but also soulmate AU!!

Here I think that Shinichi is the Hero, while Kaito is the Villain. I'm not sure about the storyline yet, but one scene I'm thinking about is Shinichi being anti-romantic. He would rather save the world than save his soulmate. Meh that sounds excessive, BUT. Kaito, who knows that he and Shinchi are soulmates, wants to burn the world down. Yep he is jealous.

Maybe they know they are soulmates from how if they are touched, they will feel burned inside them (?) Sigh I suck when it comes to soulmates.
