😍 = Does your muse have any crushes? If so, who are they?
😍   —-   does   your   muse   have   any   crushes?   if   so,   who   are   they   ?
Caeda and male Kris are his canon and canon-adjacent crushes.
Caeda is an obvious selection due to their history and the fact that Marth believes himself saved by her many instances of kindness. Alongside his initial five knights of Altea, it was Caeda who followed him from the sanctuary of her father’s island kingdom—only to embark upon a warring mainland where he couldn’t guarantee a single life in his care, much less her own. He found her beautiful, talented, and compassionate to the point where he watched her on the battlefield not simply to monitor her well-being, but also because he earnestly enjoyed it. His feelings for Caeda likely sprouted during their time together in Talys but truly flowered after fighting at her side throughout their first war.
As for Kris, I mention the male Kris in particular because there is a very noticeable tonal difference in the female and male support chains. Female Kris and Marth are more plainly evocative of romantic interest at first glance, but their relationship is eventually solidified as a very comfortable if not unfiltered male-female friendship. Marth takes delight in teasing the female Kris and actively brings her charms to attention, but stays within the boundaries of friendship and never crosses this line. They express the mutual ambition for their future children to be friends which in itself spells a platonic end to their rapport journey.
Male Kris and Marth, on the other hand, share much more intimate conversations about duty, loyalty, and inhibition. Marth is not only his lord but his willing anchor, the man who will ensure personally that he never goes down the wrong path which is equivalent to how Kris swears to help carry Marth's burdens. He does not do this for female Kris. Couple this with their final support centering around male Kris’ reinstatement of pure devotion to Marth and Marth’s consequent happiness of the fact to the point where he expresses that it makes him ‘happier than anything’, I think romantic pining and curiosity is a very, very reasonable interpretation of their bond. Never mind that the epilogue of FE12 is essentially Marth’s confession to Kris regardless of what lens you choose.
Lastly, if we’re being extremely hypothetical and sadistic. Nyna.
The idea of the man—boy, really—closest to Nyna and priviest to her deepest secrets also being the least likeliest and unable to pursue her in any romantic fashion is, to me, pretty great! At the same time, I see it as an offhand sort of attraction. Marth is obviously very dutiful, so he understands that falling in love with the Archanean princess is going to equate to major organizational issues. Altea is a vassal state to Archanea and Nyna is his female suzerain. It’s like crushing on your boss but a thousand times magnified because this 'boss' holds the scepter to hegemonic power. Something is not going to work out, hearts are going to be broken, and he wouldn’t have seen it going in any particularly different direction from the Nyna and Camus tragedy in that regard. Also, Hardin. Marth respects the wishes of others more than he respects himself so he would never encroach on the love territory of a friend. More fuel to the pyre.

And They Were Roommates-Pt 3
Marinette woke to the smell of  chocolate chip muffins. It would have been relaxing if it weren’t for the fact that she was the only one who knew how to cook in the apartment. Throwing on a sweatshirt, she raced to the kitchen, grabbing the fire extinguisher from the hall ready to put out a fire if necessary.
“Muffin?”
She blinked hard at the sight of Damian in the kitchen, holding a hot pan of muffins. Slowly, she lowered the fire extinguisher before cautiously reaching for one of the muffins sitting on a cooling rack. His eyes watched hers cautiously as she took a small bite, waiting for her reaction.
“Wow. These are actually good.”
He scoffed, taking the rest of the muffin from her hand and tossing it back on the rack, ignoring her protests.
“What was that for?” She crossed her arms staring down the man, a frown growing on her face.
Damian didn’t answer, choosing to pour a fresh batch into the now empty pan. Marinette creeped forward, picking up the remains of her muffin. Rolling her eyes, she took a seat on the couch, flipping on the television.
“Can’t you turn that cursed thing down. I am trying to focus here.”
“Can’t you say please?”
He placed the muffin pan into the oven before marching over to the couch. He held out his hand expectantly, his eyes burning holes into hers. She tentatively placed the remote in his hand, her eyes flicking to his wrist where a brief dark swirl peeked out from the edge of his long sleeve.
“Is that a note from your soulmate?”
His eyes grew large as he pulled down his sleeve as hard as he could.
“Are you always so nosy? If I wanted loud and invasive, I would’ve stayed with my brother and his wife in their house.”
“It was just a question dude.”
Damian pinched the bridge of his nose earning a second eye roll from Marinette.
“Marinette Dupen-Chang if you don’t get your nasty ass trash out of this room, we are going to fight right now!”
Chloe’s voice echoed from their room causing Marinette to wince. She meant to bring that out this morning, but the smelling of cooking scared her and she forgot. Standing up, she collected the fire extinguisher from the kitchen floor, causing Damian to give her a quizzical look.
“Dupen-Chang!”
The door flew open and a hungover Chloe came stumbling out, holding tightly to the take out tray and fork from last night.
“Great,” Marinette held the fire extinguisher defensively in front of her as the girl came charging.
“Chloe, Why don’t I just buy you a coffee and we’ll call it even?”
She paused, a frown passing over her face before it evened out to a grimace.
“Fine, but only if Damikins and Adrikins come too?”
Marinette raised an eyebrow at the boy who shook his head in return.
“I’m going to get Adrikins up. If not, he’ll sleep the rest of the day. Be ready to go in five minutes!”
She waited until the banging on his door stopped before she risked a look at Damian. He shook his head, a scowl present on his face.
“I don’t do group outings.”
“Can’t you just do a group outing this one time?”
She did her best puppy dog eyes, but he seemed to be a wall.
“Stop that, you look ridiculous. Where is your dignity woman?”
Marinette crossed her arms, a frown forming on her face.
“Why are you like this?”
“Honest? Straight-forward? Sorry if I won’t coddle your feelings Angel.”
“Don’t call me that.” Her face was burning with anger. Only her soulmate could call her that,  not this brat.
“What’s wrong Angel? You’re too used to being coddled Angel?” His smirk was becoming unbearable. Her blood felt like it was boiling.
“You’re insufferable!”
“The feelings are mutual.”
Chloe marched into the living room, dragging a half asleep Adrien behind her.
“Are you two ready? This headache is ridiculous, utterly ridiculous.”
Damian shook his head, pushing past the group toward his room. His door slammed shut earning a wince from the two blondes.
“What’s got his panties in a twist?”
“Honestly, I don’t know.” . . . . . .  . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .. . . .
Marinette stared at her wrist, admiring the swirls and details of her soulmate’s art. He had drawn a gorgeous landscape in the shape of a woman face, her hair flowing with trees and small flowers.
“Ughhhhhh, the sun is way too bright out here. Why did I let you convince us to take a patio seat?”
Adrien groaned in pain, burying his head in his hands. Chloe didn’t look much better, but she hid it behind a large pair of white sunglasses and red lips.
“Adrikins is right Dupen-Chang, sun is not a hangover cure.”
She sighed, looking up from her wrist, her eyes dancing with amusement.
“But fresh air and coffee are. You two should stop drinking so much when you go out if you can’t handle the morning after.”
Both blondes flipped her off earning a giggle from the girl. Marinette bit her lip, staring at her two friends as they moaned and groaned in misery.
“Hey, What do you guys think of Damian?”
“What about him?” Chloe peeked over the top of her sunglasses, taking a small sip from her frappuccino.
“I don’t know. He’s just very.. different?”
“I’ll say. How can that man look that good and be straight? It’s an injustice to society.”
Adrien shook his head in disappointment as Marinette let out a soft chuckle.
“I think Damikins will come around eventually. He just left a big home with lots of older siblings who are off living their lives  and a dad who travels a lot and is never home. That’s enough to make anyone rude, I mean, look how I used to be.”
The three of them shook their heads in agreement, shuddering at the thought.
“Just give him some time Maribug.” Adrien reached over to give her hand a squeeze, turning over her wrist to admire the art.
“Your soulmate is ridiculous, utterly ridiculous. It’s not fair that you get beautiful art and all I get is lousey numbers.”
“Chloe,” Marinette rolled her eyes, sharing a look with Adrien. “They’re definitely coordinates. You know that they can’t tell you their name or their home address. Your soulmate is just using a loophole.” “Well it’s ridiculous, utterly ridiculous.”
“At least you have heard from yours. Mine only ever wrote to me once, and they only did it to tell me to never write them again! Now that’s ridiculous.”
Marinette nodded, her eyes darting back down to her wrist. She really was lucky. She had a soulmate who took the time to get to know her and never fails to make her feel loved. Her friends weren’t as lucky. She couldn’t wait to get home to write to him.

Tough Day, Fun Night
Finn Balor tries to help the reader relax after a hard day at work.
Tumblr media
Warning: smut
Coming home from work, you shut the door and instantly fall onto the closest piece of furniture groaning as your face squishes into the cushion. You hear your husband's chuckle from behind and you glare up at him. "Sorry babe, bad day at work?" You nod and smile slightly as he picks you up before sitting himself down with you on his lap. "Well since it's Friday how about we let loose a little to help you relax?" "That sounds amazing." You mumble as you cuddle into his chest. "Okay then let's just watch some tv for a while first and then I will make you some dinner." "You're the best husband ever." You kiss him softly and he smiles into the kiss. "Well I have to make up for the times I'm on the road, so it's no big deal for my gorgeous wife." You blush just like you always have for the 5 years you have been with him. He turns the tv on to one of your favorite shows and you sigh happy to be in a place where you don't want to rip your hair out. You are finally back in your favorite place, your husband's arms.
About an hour later, Finn carefully moves you onto the couch as you have started to fall asleep. He then goes into the kitchen and makes your favorite dinner. Putting the food onto your plates, he realizes that he needs to find some wine as that always helps you calm down. When everything is ready, he brings it back into the living room and you wake up from the aroma of the food. You stretch your arms out quickly and then smile brightly as you see what he made. "Thank you so much babe, this means so much to me." "Only the best for my princess." He winks and you kiss him quickly before you both dig into the food.
Finn pours the wine into your glasses and you moan as you feel the rush as it slides down your throat. He chuckles, "don't have too much fun yet babe!" "Oh hush, you know you like it." He smirks and playfully grabs your butt. You both finish eating while teasing each other every few minutes with kisses in between. You eat the last piece of food and Finn takes your plates into the kitchen to rinse them off. While he is gone you decide to pour more wine into your glasses. "Well I guess it's time to drink then!" He says as he sees the glasses when he walks in and sits down next to you.
You turned the tv to Keeping Up with the Kardashians and Finn groaned. "Hey let's make a drinking game out of it!" "Sure so when do we drink?" "Hmm...Every time Khloe says something about Tristin 1 sip, when Kourtney complains about something 1 drink, and when Kris yells at any of them a big gulp." "Deal!" You both watch as they start fighting and Kris barges in yelling, drink. Then Kourtney complains about Khloe being unprofessional, drink. The game goes on until you are out of wine and you sigh, "what else do we have?" "We have some vodka?" "Okay vodka it is!"
A few hours later, you two are completely drunk and laughing at everything until your hand "accidentally" lands on his crotch. You think nothing of it until you feel his excitement growing. "Ooo...someone's a little excited." You wink and Finn smirks back bringing his face within inches of yours. "We both know there is nothing little about him." You bite your lip as his heads swoops down to start trailing kisses down your neck. You reach for the hem of his shirt and pull it off before admiring his strong chest and abs. He pulls your top off and you automatically reach for his sweats playing with the band of his boxers before pulling his pants off. He unbottons your pants and pushes them down as he lays on top of you kissing your lips roughly as your fingers tangle into his hair. "Mmm, babe you know my weakness." "Of course I've got to keep my man happy." You wink and he slips his hands under your back unhooking your bra quickly. He starts kissing down your neck then traveling further down, he massages your breasts quickly  before continuing his journey to his favorite place. You grip onto the back of the couch bracing yourself for his attack on your heat. He pulls down your panties but keeps his head at your heat making sure to breathe on it to tease you.
Finn smirks up to you as you bite your lip waiting. He sticks his tongue out and licks all the way up to circle around your clit causing you to moan and tighten your grip on the couch. His tongue dives in and out as you try to keep your moans as quiet as possible. Finn murmurs against you, "We bought a house far enough away from the other houses so that you can scream as loud as you want babe. Don't let our money go to waste, lass." You relax your grip long enough to move your hands back into his hair as he finds your g-spot making you throw your head back moaning. You feel yourself getting closer and apparently Finn did too because he pulled away licking his lips. "You're delicious babe, here have a taste." He roughly kisses you, squirming his tongue into your mouth so you can taste yourself making you both moan. He rips his boxers off and then thrusts right into you making you hiss from the quick pain of his size inside of you. He slowly starts thrusting and the pain turns to pleasure as your moans get louder. Since you were already on edge, he leaned down and whispered in your ear, "don't you dare cum before I tell you to babe." You nod and start scratching your nails across his collarbone and down his chest. His thrusts speed up and you grab his ass making him go even faster. "Okay babe cum on 3. 1, 2, 3!!!" You both cum with strings of cuss words flying out your mouths and uncontrollable moans. Once you have ridden out your highs, he rolls off of you and pants. When you catch your breath, you sit up as does he. "Bed?" He nods and you pick up your clothes before walking upstairs to your bedroom and soon enough falling asleep in each other's arms.
2 months later
You had recently been feeling sick and didn't understand why until you realized that you had missed your period the last 2 months. "Oh shit, am I pregnant?" You thought to yourself as you threw up for the 3rd morning in a row. Finn had been leaving early every day to get to the gym, so he rarely saw you get sick. You knew he wanted kids but you never discussed when, so you decided not to let him know until it was confirmed just in case it was a false alarm. Getting ready for the day, you decided to call in sick to work and ran up to the local store getting a pregnancy test. When you got home, you took the test and then waited nervously for the timer to go off. Once it did your heart stopped momentarily as you looked down at the stick... pregnant. Of course, it was not official, so you decided to call the doctor's office and got in at the very end of the day. You found the card you had gotten for Finn's birthday, which is in 3 days, and took it with you to the doctor's office. Keeping secrets from Finn was nearly impossible, so you were just going to give him the card early if you really are pregnant. You get called back to the exam rooms and you explain to the nurse the reason for your visit. "No problem Mrs. Balor the doctor will be right with you." You suddenly get super nervous and take deep breaths to calm yourself down. The doctor walks in and he tells you what you have to do so 15 minutes later he comes back with the results. "Well congratulations Mrs. Balor you are pregnant!" You smile and thank him as you leave the doctor's office. Once you get in the car, you open his card and sign the card, "Love Y/N and baby Balor." You smile and drive home quickly to find Finn already home. When you walk in he runs and hugs you, "Baby, you had me worried sick! Why didn't you answer your phone?" "I'm sorry Finn, I was just out getting something for you." You hand him the card and he looks quizzically at you. "My birthday isn't for 3 more days." "Just open it babe." You try to keep a smile on your face while on the inside you are super nervous for his reaction as he reads the card aloud. "Happy birthday! Love Y/N and baby Balor. Wait...what? Baby Balor?" He looks up at you with hopeful eyes and you nod smiling. "Oh my god, this is amazing babe! Thank you, thank you, thank you!" He kisses all over your face making you giggle and then he gets down to your belly and lifts your shirt kissing it. "Hi baby Balor! I'm your daddy and I'm going to love you so much! You are going to be so loved by Mommy and your uncles AJ, Luke, and Karl. We are going to spoil you so much." You smile down as your excited husband goes on and on talking to the baby. When he stands back up, he places his forehead against yours sighing, "Perfect." "What's perfect?" You look up at him confused. "Everything, my life is absolutely perfect. I have my dream job, dream house, dream wife, and now we are going to have a beautiful child. Thank you so much Y/N." You wipe the tears from under his eyes and smile. "No Finn, thank you for making me the happiest woman in the world even though I may not seem like it during the pregnancy." You both laugh and he grabs your hands kissing them. "I'm ready for whatever mood swings you may throw my way Mrs. Balor. I love you so much." "I love you too Mr. Balor now how about we go cuddle?" "I thought you'd never ask."

On the Subject of Underverse S2
You read that correctly: this is a post about one of the greatest shows ever created, the Undertale animated series Underverse, written/animated by @jakei95. I have a lot of theories that I’ve been pulling together ever since I watched both Underverse and Xtale (the Underverse prequel series). Maybe one or two have no basis in anything, but for some reason they popped into my head and I’ll stick by them until they’re proven incorrect. I will discuss the possibility of a Geno/Ink fight, Fresh!Ink, XI (you’ll definitely want to read their section!), and the fates of many different characters. This is quite the long post, so buckle up for a long ride.
Let’s begin!
GENO/INK FIGHT:
I’m putting this theory first because it is the least important. At some point in time, I somehow got it into my head that there is supposedly going to be a fight between Geno and Ink. I have no idea where I heard about this, and when I searched for any specific videos or posts about the subject, I found nothing. But I personally think a fight scene between Geno and Ink would be pretty cool, so I’m adding this in here.
FRESK!INK’S EXISTANCE:
This is a more relevant theory. Ever since Jakei announced that Fresh!Ink would be a part of Underverse, I have wondered how he would be incorporated. I don’t know if she means for him to be in the future “Beach Episode” or something more serious. (Of course, I know almost nothing about this supposed “Beach Episode”, which is apparently when Epic!Sans will be showing up, so I really wouldn’t know.) But there is an important thing to remember: Ink and Fresh made a deal in the first season.
Tumblr media
Ever since I saw this Underverse - Xtra Scene 2, I have wondered what this “prize” could possibly be. What was Ink’s side of the deal? What did he promise Fresh? Hmm... maybe a new body to take over?
Ink’s body doesn’t have a SOUL- that’s basic “Undertale AU Knowledge 101″. What does this have to do in regards to Fresh? To my best knowledge, the actual parasitic creature True!Fresh feeds off the souls of other creatures to survive. In fact, his soul-feeding would kill his victims if he stayed long enough in one body, but he likes to play it safe and leave his victims alive in case he needs to use their body again. But he wouldn’t need to do this with Ink. Because of Ink’s SOULless nature, Fresh could theoretically feed off his body forever. Some might object that since Ink doesn’t have a SOUL, Fresh wouldn’t be able to feed off him. But then how does Fresh!Ink exist?
So, what was their deal? Fresh watches over the Xtale AU while Ink is gone, and after Cross and X!Chara are taken care of, Ink comes back and lets Fresh take over his body for a little while. There may be something else I’m missing, but the pieces seem to make sense.
XI’S PURPOSE:
For those of you who don’t know who XI is, I suggest you watch this video about Jakei’s Overwrite merch. This is when the character of XI was introduced to us, back on good ol’ April 1st, 2019. Haha, yes, the joke character of XI- funny April Fool’s Day video, a good laugh for everyone. Jakei has made a few comics about XI since then, but overall, XI hasn’t been involved in Xtale or Underverse so far. That has never sat right with me, and I’ve always thought there would be something more to him. I was proven absolutely correct when Xtale - The Movie came out. But before we discuss the little extra scene tagged onto the end of that video, I would like to point out some very interesting facts about XI.
On October 6th, 2019, Jakei posted a traditional speedart. Obviously, the art is gorgeous like always and every time I watch it I wonder if I will ever get to the level of skill she is at. But besides that, there is a very important aspect about this video. In the speedart, Jakei drew two pictures: one of X!Chara and X!Frisk fighting, and one of XI. In XI’s picture, they are depicted in full armor with a magical purple sword & shield.
Tumblr media
Hmmm... I wonder who this could possible resemble?
Tumblr media
Every time XI is shown, whether it be in comics or artwork, their bangs hang over their eyes. Their armor looks exactly like Kris’s from Deltarune. Heck, they both use a sword and a shield! What does this mean? XI is X!Kris. There is no way to deny this. This is why they are X!Chara’s and X!Frisk’s little sibling. I would also like to point out XI’s silver oval locket. I find it interesting how he has a different piece of jewelry from everyone else- all other important characters in Xtale have a matching golden heart locket. Does XI also have people he has given copies of this necklace to? Perhaps X!Susie and X!Ralsei, if they exist? But XI being X!Kris is only the beginning of this theory. Remember how I mentioned Xtale - The Movie earlier? Take a look at this picture.
Tumblr media
This is a five-second frame pegged at the very end of the video, after an entry written in wingdings by Mister XGaster himself. The message is as follows:
Entry Number Eleven: As clear as a reflection in a mirror, I have found the most perfect projection of forbidden visions. Get ready. Your time is coming.
Okay, just whoa. Not only is the entry #11, but the person standing there is XI. Oh, and let’s take a closer look at what they’re holding in their hand.
Tumblr media
I knew that silver locket was going to be important. There is no way that XI is not going to play a major part in either Underverse S2 or hmm... maybe a spin-off about the Xtale versions of Deltarune characters? To my knowledge, Jakei has not said anything about her plans after she finishes Underverse. She has her Metadora project, and I am aware that her husband @nyxtheshield is planning out his own Undertale series- someone will need to animate that, and I’m sure she would be able and willing to do the job. She has stated that there will be no seasons of Underverse after S2, and the finale will be 1.0. But that doesn’t mean she won’t make a new series. If she does, will it be about all the Deltarune characters? Will the other Xtale characters show up at certain points in it? Will XGaster play a large part in it? There is no way to know, as the idea of a new show is simply drawn from that there may not be enough time in S2 to fully expand what XI is.
In any case, XGaster states in the entry that “your time is coming”. This could either reference a new show or XI’s appearance in Underverse. I find it extremely interesting how XGaster words his message. “The most perfect projection of forbidden visions.” What does that mean exactly? XGaster has seen something in one of his many visions, obviously. The most perfect image of prohibited sights. XI is a person that stands for something that should not be allowed to exist. That makes sense- XGaster, a man, somehow got pregnant and birthed them, as shown in the Overwrite merch video. The “forbidden visions” might imply that he has seen something quite “cursed”, as us modern Internet-users would say. But then he tells this projection to get ready, because their time is coming. XGaster is telling XI to prepare themself. This just proves that XI and XGaster are tied together very closely, and that if XI does get their own series with X!Ralsei and X!Susie, XGaster will be involved.
Whew! That’s a lot of information to take in all at once. This was the big “theory” I wanted to discuss, so now we will move on to the different fates I believe may befall some of our beloved characters.
INK, FOR GOOD OR FOR WORSE?:
Ah, Ink. One of the true protagonists of Underverse. Remember: a protagonist is not necessarily a hero, just one of the leading characters. It has been seen that his story arc is the most important throughout the entire story. He is the one that inspired XGaster. He is the one that made XGaster’s plan succeed. And he very well might be the one to make it fail.
Wait, you’re asking me. I thought he was on XGaster’s side? What do you mean he will make it fail?
I didn’t want to address whether Ink was going to stick with XGaster or flip until a certain song was posted by Nyx two days ago on December 5th, “Soulless Heart”. If you haven’t listened to it yet, go ahead and click that link because the song is beautiful and absolutely necessary to continue on with this theory! The song is the Underverse 0.5 Ending Theme, and guess who it’s about? You guessed it, our good old buddy chum pal Ink. I’ve been listening to it on repeat since it came out, and it really is incredible. (Nyx, if you’re somehow reading this, I would like to personally congratulate you, because not only is the music amazing but mwah! Your voice is a joy, and I would not have any other singer do the vocals.) But the most important thing about the song is the lyrics. Here’s the first verse.
How long have I been longing
to be free and not broken
in this ocean of hollowness?
I don’t want to be forgotten.
Instantly, the lyrics hit you hard. This is about Ink, though, so you can’t expect anything less. Essentially, the song is about the emptiness that Ink feels without a SOUL. This goes along with one of his main aspects in Underverse. The only reason why he worked with XGaster to make sure XGaster’s game worked was so he could feel more emotions. As a chaotic neutral character, Ink literally only cares about himself and his personal goals. But what is interesting about this song is that he addresses the pain he has caused.
Sacrificial lambs
laid upon my path
now are broken worlds
killed by senseless wrath.
Ink knows that he has hurt people. I mean, in the present timeline when 0.5 is to be set, Ink’s actions just caused Error to literally “pull the plug” and destroy all the AUs. (Although, how many AUs were actually destroyed is impossible to determine, because there are still multiple Sanses that will be incorporated into S2 that were residing in their AUs at the time of their supposed destruction.) Ink knows that this is his fault. And now that XGaster has won, Ink will be receiving all those emotions he wanted! In the S2 teaser, which was released on the original Underverse 0.5 release date (the episode was unfortunately delayed due to issues with Nyx’s distributor, RouteNote), shows something very important.
Tumblr media
Look at those vials in his hand. Those aren’t just colored vials. Well, they are, but their colors are especially important. Look at their specific colors: orange, yellow, and amber. Previously, Ink’s vials have been seen as very straightforward: roy g biv, that sort of thing.
Tumblr media
You have one or maybe two variations, although in this picture there seems to be about four different aqua vials. But there certainly isn’t an amber vial. This goes to show that XGaster followed through on his promise, and Ink has a lot more variations in his color-coded emotion vials. The obvious conclusion from this is that he can feel a lot more things than he thought was possible- including guilt. With his newfound feelings, he could realize that what he did wasn’t just wrong, it was horrible. He might start to blame himself for getting all the AUs destroyed, which in turn might result in a betrayal of XGaster. With his emotions, he would become a real good person. But ultimately, without XGaster’s Overwrite abilities, Ink’s new emotions will fade and he will return to be the same old Ink as before. He will no longer understand why he sacrificed his emotions, and the cycle will start anew. Ink will never be truly happy, because being happy will always mean the suffering of others.
Or, Ink will stick with XGaster. It would be the same fate, after all; if the heroes defeat XGaster, Ink will still lose those emotions. This, though, might leave him feeling bitter and even more willing to do anything to get what he wants, which could potentially lead to him becoming a real villain. Perhaps XGaster isn’t the final boss of Underverse. Maybe the one to start everything will be the one to finish everything.
XGASTER AND UT!GASTER:
This wouldn’t be a real theory post without discussing our favorite fanfiction writer, would it? And yes, XGaster is literally a fanfiction writer. He has symptoms of OCD concerning the world-building of his universe and he just loves to add as much angst as humanly (or monsterly) possible. It just so happens that he lives in his own created universe, so his creations have the pleasurable chance at getting revenge.
Now, there are obviously two ways that Underverse can go: XGaster succeeds, or XGaster fails. This doesn’t necessarily mean that this will be the ending of S2. As I mentioned above, perhaps XGaster will be defeated at the end of 0.9 and 1.0 will be about everyone trying to stop Ink from taking the Overwrite SOUL for his own, I don’t know. In any case, I don’t really have anything to discuss about XGaster specifically, but I am pretty sure I know what his last scene will be if he happens to lose.
It is shown in the Underverse S2 Prologue - Owners that XGaster and UT!Gaster spent a lot of time together in the Void between the events of Xtale and Underverse. Not only do they hold an entire conversation together in Owners, but in Underverse 0.1 when Sans is hit in the head with a ball, he has a vision of the two of them standing together.
Tumblr media
In XGaster’s and UT!Gaster’s conversation in Owners, UT!Gaster tells XGaster that he will fail in his quest for perfection. XGaster brushes him off because he’s an egotistical prick, yadda yadda. But this conversation is important because I believe it will parallel the ending of XGaster’s quest. In the end, UT!Gaster will approach his old Void-buddy and tell him to just give up on his pointless venture. XGaster will turn to dust after saying something like, “I will never give up”, and then we have Ink going on a rampage. That’s pretty much all I have to say on them, but I thought it would be worth adding.
DREAM AND NIGHTMARE:
Lastly, we have the brothers. As with XGaster and UT!Gaster, I don’t have much to add with them. But I do believe they will both play a major role in S2. They will be the overseers of the battle to come. Out of all the characters in the Undertale fandom, they are the most omnipotent. They are the protectors of the Tree of Feelings, which is one of three trees to give the Multiverse life. In Underverse 0.4, when X!Chara accused Nightmare of “watching us all this time as if we were part of a show”, Nightmare responded by saying:
Tumblr media
Of course, Nightmare mostly means himself, Error, and Ink. Dream is much more active in helping people be happy, but that doesn’t mean he isn’t on the same god-tier level as his brother. Dream could sit back and watch the world tick, but he chooses not to because that goes against his morals.
In other words, Dream and Nightmare will probably affect the outcome of Underverse more than any other characters. They’re both pissed about what Error did: all those people that Dream cared about were murdered, and Nightmare can no longer generate negative feelings from innocents. They both have invested interest in this Multiverse war now, and their powers will certainly come to the forefront.
I believe that at the end of the story, the Multiverse will essentially go back to the exact way it was before Xtale was invented. XGaster will be dead, the Xtale characters will be put back in their AU, the other AUs will be restored, and at the end of it all, Dream and Nightmare will be once again pitted against one another. We may even see an alliance between them during Underverse S2 to stop XGaster, but afterwards, they will reestablish their rivalry. Unless the Omega Timeline comes into play, which it very well might, I don’t see the two brothers reconciling.
CONCLUSION:
Thank you everyone who took the agonizingly long time to read this! I hope this shed some light on certain characters (especially XI) and encourages to make some of your own theories. Stay safe and good night!

chapter 25 of don’t read the last page is here!
masterpost
[kristanna / m / multichap / modern au with actress!anna and vetstudent!kristoff]
september 21st
It was, to be frank, not the sort of wedding Anna had dreamed of growing up. For one thing, she didn’t even have any white clothes left that fit; for another, the courthouse still sort of smelled like lemon Pine-Sol.
But her sister was there to walk her in, though there wasn’t really an aisle, and Honey and Ryder and Sven and Kristoff’s parents and siblings were all grinning from ear to ear-- well, crying and blowing her nose, in Bulda’s case-- and she did at least have the bouquet of sunflowers that was her one non-negotiable.
One thing, though, was the same thing-- same person-- she had always imagined, and when he blinked back tears as he slid the ring onto her finger she couldn’t help but think of her teenaged self scribbling furiously in her diary about how she’d wear a ballgown and he’d wear a tux and there’d be sunflowers and confetti and doves--
“I do,” Kristoff said, his voice thick with emotion, and really, that was all that mattered.
“Me, too,” she replied, without even thinking, and when he grinned in response as the officiant chuckled, she knew he was thinking the same.
---
october 17th
Kristoff came home from the clinic and found Anna sitting on the edge of their bed, staring off into space. “Everything okay, baby?”
She nodded. “Just...thinking about the premiere again. They sent the dress over again, said they tailored it for how big I’ll be in a couple weeks. And the doctor said it’s okay. I mean, he wants me to come in the day before, just to make sure, but…”
Anna bit her lip, waiting for a reply. A familiar flicker of protective, instinctive worry flared in his chest, but Kristoff held his tongue and waited for it to settle, the way he’d learned was-- especially now-- so important to making sure she felt heard.
And she kept quiet; he knew she was fighting the urge to ramble to fill the silence, to try and convince him of something before he’d even said he might disagree.
They were still learning, and from what his mother had told him, he knew they still would be for the rest of their lives. And of course there were still the silly arguments over what to watch on TV (usually ending in them watching nothing at all and instead kissing on the sofa while an alien show played in the background) and who was snoring louder (Anna, these days because of the strange poses she struck to try and sleep) and who had eaten the last of the pretzels (which usually ended with them both realizing it’d happened while they were watching the aforementioned alien shows).
But the big things, the ones that mattered-- they were careful, now, more than ever, to make sure that fight was never quite the right word for what transpired.
Kristoff sat beside her, taking her hand. “I mean, there’s no point in me explaining all the things that could go wrong, is there?” he asked.
She shook her head. “I promise, I’ve thought about all of them pretty much, like, nonstop,” she said, and he squeezed her hand in response.
Anna’s gaze drifted over to the emerald green dress hanging on the back of the closet door. Kristoff watched her for a moment before saying softly, “But you still want to go.”
She nodded, biting her lip again.
“Can I ask why it feels this important to you?”
He looked over and saw tears were beginning to sparkle in her eyes. “What if this is my only shot, Kris?”
“Your only shot at what?”
“At getting to do something like this. What if I never get a big movie part again? Or what if the baby comes, and I just decide to only be a mom and never act again? And it’s like...I’m not angry about it or anything, you know? Like I love him, and I love you, but this is still...it’s still what I’ve been working for my whole life. And all the shit I put up with filming this, and the stuff with Hans...part of me feels like it’ll be for nothing if I don’t go. And I know that’s stupid, but--”
“Not stupid,” Kristoff interrupted, and she sighed and leaned her head against his shoulder. “It makes perfect sense.”
“I know it’s, like, scary to think that I could just go into labor on the red carpet. And maybe I’m a bad mom for even--”
“Anna. Don’t even think that, okay?”
She sniffled, and he lifted his arm to wrap it around her shoulders. “You’re allowed to be more than a mom,” he said as she leaned into him. “And you’re allowed to want things for yourself, especially really big important things like this. And I want them for you, too.”
“I know it makes you nervous, though,” she said softly. “That something would go wrong.”
“I’ve been nervous about that the whole time. But it’s up to you, baby. Well-- you and the doctor, I guess, but if he says you’re in the clear…”
She tilted her head to kiss his shoulder. “And it’s only for the red carpet bit. No way am I sitting through a three hour movie in a ballgown. Which, speaking of--”
She hopped up and waddled towards the bathroom, and Kristoff couldn’t help but laugh as he called after her, “Guess I ought to see if my suit from New Year’s still fits, eh?”
---
november 1
“Feels kind of full circle, don’t you think?” Anna mused as Honey carefully swiped blush onto her cheeks.
“What does?” Kristoff asked from where he was seated in the recliner, nervously fiddling with his cufflinks.
“I mean, a year ago today is when my first movie dropped, and now today is my first red carpet premiere.”
“Oh, shit, it’s only been a year?”
Anna giggled. “You’re telling me. I feel like I’ve already been pregnant that long.”
Honey rolled her eyes. “Hold still, Anna.”
“Sorry, sorry! Thanks again for doing this, by the way. I know it had to’ve been a pain in the ass for you to get ready so early and then come all the way up here.”
Her friend shrugged as she sorted through her stacks of highlighters. “More of a pain in the ass if someone who doesn’t know your face like I do messed you up. And anyway, you know the real reason I agreed to this. Come on, spill the beans.”
“I thought Anna was kidding about bribing you with that,” Kristoff said, raising his eyebrows. “I mean, we didn’t even tell Sven yet.”
“She was not kidding, but I think you’ll see my work is worth the price. C’mon, Anna, turn around and show the husband how gorgeous you look.”
She did so, and his eyes went wide. “Oh, shit.”
“Good oh shit?” Anna asked nervously.
Honey snorted. “Do you really have to ask that when it’s me doing this? Turn back and let me do your lipstick.”
Anna held still as Honey carefully daubed the scarlet shade they’d settled on together onto her lips. “So, since Anna’s occupied at the moment...what’d you guys pick?”
“Well, we were trying to find something to watch one night, and we both have the same favorite kids’ movie, and it just happened to be on, so we--”
“I didn’t ask for the story, Bjorgman. What are you naming my nephew?”
He grinned. “Milo.”
---
God, Anna had always been gorgeous, but the color of her gown made her hair gleam even more than usual, and Honey had done just enough makeup to bring out her eyes without hiding the way she was glowing these days-- shit, he’d thought that was just something books said, but--
There was a tug at his sleeve. “Kristoff? Did you hear me?”
He blinked, startled. “What?”
Anna smirked, well aware of what had been distracting him. “Hans just got here. Casey says two more minutes, then we’re up. She says that’s the perfect amount of time to make sure we completely upstage him.
He whistled. “Damn. Do you think Lena would have ever come up with something like that?”
“Absofuckinglutely not.” She grinned and set a hand on the side of her belly. “I think Milo’s excited, too.”
Kristoff laughed and set his hand next to hers; sure enough, there came a brief volley of kicks against the palm of his hand. “As long as you stay in there for a little while longer, buddy, kick all you want.”
“Easy for you to say,” Anna muttered. “Oh-- she just texted again. Ready?”
“As I’ll ever be,” he said as she signalled the chauffeur to open her door.
Kristoff had to admit he was a little bit awestruck at just how gracefully she managed to emerge from the limo; he nearly tripped over his own feet, and he wasn’t even thirty-seven weeks pregnant.
He was by her side immediately, setting a hand on the small of her back, and not a moment too soon; it was as if their arrival was some kind of signal for the hundreds of photographers and reporters and celebrities and fans to all turn at once, Hans Westergaard and all his bullshit entirely forgotten.
“By the way,” Anna whispered as they began to walk towards the crowd, “if you hold my hand, Casey says to make sure it’s the right one.”
“What? Why?”
“So people can still see my rings in the pictures,” she said, putting on her best movie star smile as the first reporter reached them.
The next hour or so passed in a blur; they stayed well away from the crowd of fans at the doctor’s advice-- “never know how handsy they’ll get, you know”-- but it still felt a bit like getting swarmed with what felt like every reporter in LA dying to find out more about the sudden wedding and the impending arrival and whether or not Anna thought she’d get an Oscar nod for her part.
She answered every question with grace and charm, and Kristoff did his best to make sure his smile didn’t turn into a grimace, even when a cameraman stepped on the hem of Anna’s skirt.
The reporters left him alone for the most part, until one of them turned suddenly to him and asked, “So, Kristoff, how does it feel to be the internet’s boyfriend?”
“The...what?”
The reporter grinned and held up his phone, showing him a series of memes. He squinted, trying to make sense of it all as Anna held back a laugh. “You’re built like a brick shithouse and you hold puppies for a living. What’s not to love?”
“Um,” he stammered, looking to Anna for guidance.
“What my husband means to say,” she said, her eyes sparkling with mischief, “is that he’s flattered. And I for one am very grateful I managed to snatch him up before he became such a big star.”
They said their goodbyes quickly after that, and as they continued moving down the red carpet, Kristoff leaned down and muttered, “When were you going to tell me I was the internet’s boyfriend, huh?”
“When you figured out what Instagram was so you could find all the stan accounts for yourself.”
“The...what?”
She giggled and squeezed his hand. “Just smile and wave, honey. And think about the Taco Bell we’re getting after this.”

But I just separate my interests so each one feels cohesive and not super random. Also, also, I freaking HATE wearing pants. I’d never wear a pair of jeans again if I didn’t have to. Dresses til I die! I prefer to wear as little clothing as possible 🙈 I have some autoimmune issues that can cause a lot of physical pain and I sometimes I just can’t stand tight clothes touching me. 21. AESTHETIC: I am an INFP in the MBTI, a 4 in the ENNEAGRAM and an HSP (highly sensitive person) so all in all, I am extremely driven to cultivate my personal aesthetic in its purest, most authentic form. It really heavily impacts my mood + headspace. I love nature so plants, flowers, eucalyptus, lavender and pampas grass are everywhere always. I love soft lighting- so my apartment has loads of candles and string lights everywhere. Gauzy sheer curtains. Gold and rose gold details. Soft, cozy rugs and textured pillows. Lots of DIY-art and re-done furniture that I’ve painted white. Moon + star details where I can sneak them them. Lush throws and a fluffy white duvet. Tons of windows and as much natural light as I can get. So very cozy, very feminine, very soft, very peaceful so my over analytical brain has a space to rest. That’s all my home- my personal clothing + beauty style shifts with my mood but I drawn towards whatever makes me feel most like myself- blush toned dresses, silky nightgowns, simple gold jewelry that glints in the light, lots of cozy sweaters, soft shorts, bare feet whenever possible, my natural curls or blown out beachy waves, loads of blush and a fiercely flicked cat eye. (I require eyeliner)

I hope your next day rocks your socks off and all your wildest + simplest dreams all come true! Have a glorious whatever it is, wherever you are. Thanks for sticking it out to the end 😅✨

Sidney hadn’t had the time to look to see if Y/N and Andy were in the box. Zach had assured him that they were coming. He was still obviously suspicious of Sidney and the whole situation. He had every right to be. That was his family.
They won 4-3 against the Rangers in overtime. Sid barely listened as Sully congratulated and berated the team and then instructed Olli, Murray, and Horny to do media. He rushed to put on his suit.
“Hey did you wanna go out with us tonight for drinks?” Kris asked Sid. “Cullen is the only one out so far.”
Sid shook his head. If this night was going to go how he hoped, he’d be out eating in a quaint diner in an hour with a beautiful woman and her son. Not that it was a date or anything, he reminded himself. He was merely treating a lovely family to a nice night that they deserved. That’s it. No romance involved at all.
“I have plans.”
“Involve pretty woman and small boy?” Geno grinned. Kris looked intrigued.
Zach patted Sid on the shoulder. “I’m going out with the guys. Walk them up to the apartment. Tell Y/N not to wait up for me. I might end up staying with Olli tonight depending on how many drinks we have. Make sure she locks the door too. Just because I have some money still doesn’t mean we live in the greatest area of Pittsburgh.”
Sid understood then. “You have plenty of money to get a nice place for yourself, and even them. You live with them to try to help but she doesn’t like charity.”
Zach nodded. “I know you like Andy and genuinely want to spend time with him because he’s a good kid. She still believes that you are on charity mode,” he explained. “You’re right, she doesn’t like charity or pity, especially when it involves Andy. That kid is her life. ‘The best accident in my life’ she says. She won’t warm up to you until she realizes a you’re there for him as a kid and for her as a woman of interest.”
Sidney wanted to speak up about that last part and argue, especially under the watching eyes and listening ears of teammates. “Don’t even deny it, Sid,” Zach interrupted. “Just don’t make me regret this.”
Zach walked out of locker room with some of the guys, leaving him, Evgeni, and Kris alone. “What am I missing?” Kris asked.
“Sid in love,” Geno told him.
Sid shook his head. “I’m not in love.”
“ZAR disagrees,” both countered.
“I explain later,” Geno whispers to Kris.
Kris nodded. “The 3 of us are going out tomorrow night in Boston to talk about this,” he informed Sidney. “You’re going to tell us about tonight. You’re going to explain all of this to us. Got it, Sid?”
Sidney nodded. “See you guys in the morning for the flight. Enjoy tonight.”
Sidney grabbed his bags and walked towards the exit. He stopped right before pushing the door open. Nerves rushed over him. He wouldn’t normally be doing this. He wouldn’t probably go to these extremes for another teammate’s family. Okay, so that thought was wrong and he probably would, but without the feelings he has right now. There was something about this situation that pulled him in. He pushed his nerves away as he pushed the door open.
Y/N and Andy sat outside the locker room on a bench. Sid smiled a waved. A small part of him feared they would have left, but that fear was gone now and replaced with excitement.
“Hi Sid,” Andy waved. “You played good tonight, and your box is really cool,” He then whispered, “I actually fell asleep during the second intermission and missed part of the third because it’s so nice up there.”
Sidney chuckled. “Did you enjoy it, Y/N?” He asked. She nodded. He took this time to glance over her. She was wearing one of ZAR’s jerseys, but it was the color of the shirt underneath her jersey that caught his attention. “Are you wearing a Rangers shirt under that?”
She smirked. “Guilty. I couldn’t help myself. Zach wanted to wear my Rangers jersey because he thought your reaction would be funny. I said I didn’t want to torture you that much.”
Sidney, smiling, shook his head. “Well, clearly since your cousin being a Penguin and your son a future one doesn’t convince you,” A large grin appeared on Andy’s face, “I suppose I must convince you to become our #1 fan. Maybe we can go get something to eat. I know a nice diner only a few blocks from here.”
Y/N blushed as Andy yanked on her arm, begging her to agree. Y/N nodded and Sid led them out of the arena. “I hope you guys don’t mind walking. It’s only a few blocks from here.”
Y/N shook her head. “Not at all. We took the Light Rail here anyway.”
Andy stood between Y/N and Sidney, holding each of their hands, as they walked to the little diner. Y/N had objected at first but Sidney didn’t mind. He didn’t say it aloud but it felt like he had a family of his own for once. Andy talked the whole way there about the game. He praised both teams but admitted he was upset when Horny hit Zuccarello and then when Kreider tripped Sid. Sidney had to keep reassuring him that he was okay.
Very few people were in the diner when they walked in. A middle aged woman waved to them from behind the counter. “Hiya Sid!”
“Hi Marnie,” Sid greeted. He led Y/N and Andy to a booth on the left and the waitress, Marnie, brought two menus.
“I suppose you want your usual,” she said. She looked at his guests and smiled. “You’ve never brought your family here before, Sid. Mama’s gonna be upset.”
“Mama?” Andy and Y/N questioned.
“She’s talking about her mom, Sue,” Sid net explained. “Everyone calls her Mama and she calls everyone Baby or some other affectionate term.”
They nodded and glanced over the menu while Sid and Marnie caught up. It had been awhile since he had been into the diner. He had been craving their fries lately though, and one of Mama’s pies.
“I want nuggets,” Andy demanded. Y/N shot him a look. “Please.”
Marnie nodded. “And for you, miss?”
“I’ll have a Pittsburgh salad.”
“And an order of pierogies for the table too, Marnie,” Sid added.
Marnie nodded and walked off. “You come here often?” Y/N asked.
Sidney chuckled. “Is it that obvious? They don’t make a big deal about me here.”
Andy gave him a strange look. “But you’re Sidney Crosby.”
Sid nodded. “And I’m also just Sidney,” He stared at Y/N as he said this. He wanted her to understand. “I’m a normal guy. I come to a little diner to pig out because it makes me feel normal. I love judging people on House Hunters. I binge watch Friends. I like cooking. I play video games. I’m normal.”
“I’m sure your girlfriend loves that,” Y/N commented.
“I don’t have one. It’s just me.”
“Do you have a dog?” Andy asked. Sid shook his head. “You should get one. Or a cat. You need a friend for when you’re home. It probably gets lonely.”
Sid didn’t respond as Marnie had brought out their appetizer, and he also didn’t know how to respond. An 8 year old kid had hit his situation head on. He was alone. He had no one. He visited his team to feel wanted. He played hockey to keep busy. He looked up at that moment to see Y/N staring at him. There was a look in her eye that said she understood him. She opened her mouth to say something but closed it quickly. Sid just nodded, and she gave him a weak smile.
He heard a shout. “Baby Sid!” Instantly a pair of arms wrapped around him. “Don’t you dare wait so long to come see me again.”
Sid chuckled. “I’m sorry, Mama. I fly to Boston tomorrow and then New Jersey. It’ll be a few days until I come back then.”
Mama Sue patted him on the back and glanced up to his company. “Baby you brought another baby Sid and a pretty woman! Why did you hide such a gorgeous family,” She pinched Andy’s cheeks. “You are a good looking boy. Look like your father.”
Sidney glanced at Y/N and saw her face pale. Andy giggled. “Sid’s not my dad. But she is my mom. Sid is our friend. I’ll still be Baby Sid Jr. though.”
Mama Sue chuckled. “And who are you, baby?”
“I’m Y/N. A friend.”
“A beautiful friend,” Mama added. Marnie brought over the tray of food. “Pittsburgh salad for beautiful friend. Chicken nuggets for Baby Jr Sid. And a basket of fries and today’s soup of Zuppa Toscana for Baby Sid. I make fresh peach-raspberry today pie too.”
“Thank you, Mama.”
They didn’t say much as they ate but the feeling was enough to keep Sid full. Andy tried playing with his food and Y/N told him to stop. He shared his fries with her after he caught her several times eyeing them. Andy would talk about his day and chomp on his food causing Sid to tell him to chew and swallow and then talk. He wiped Andy’s face when he was all done. Andy was yawning by the time Mama brought the pie out...in a box.
“Baby Jr Sid looks tired. Eat pie later. I wrote on top how to heat up,” Y/N tried to hand money to Mama for the dinner. She shook her head. “Nonsense. I put on Sid’s tab.”
Y/N pursed her lips. Sid didn’t want Y/N to be offended. “She can pay if she wants to, Mama,” Sid said.
A sharp pain radiated through Sid’s shoulder after Mama Sue hit him. “Stupid boy. You take beautiful friend on date and make pay? You’re hunky Canadien pseudo-father not teach you anything?”
“Mario taught me lots of things,” Sid answered. “Just let her pay.”
Mama huffed and turned to Y/N. “I make deal with you. This meal free as long as you and cute son come back to visit me. Then I let you pay.”
Y/N nodded. “I’ll take that deal.”
“And make sure Baby Sid shares pie with you!” Mama Sue shouted as they left the diner.
“She can be a lot,” Sid said when they were a few storefronts down. “But Mama Sue means well. I’m sorry you had to argue with her back there.”
Y/N shrugged her shoulders and pulled her coat tighter. Sidney had to resist the urge to wrap his arms around her. “It’s fine, Sidney. I know she meant well, but I like to feel that I am capable of taking care of Andy and I without any help.”
“Sometimes people want to help because they care,” Sidney blurted. He was going to apologize and then Andy started coughing hard. Sid dropped to Andy’s level. “Are you okay, bud?”
“Cold,” he muttered.
Sidney watched Y/N huff and purse her lips. “The station is another four blocks from here,” she murmured.
It was clear that Sidney was not supposed to hear that, but he did. “I can give you a ride home,” he offered. “The Rail isn’t going to be warm.”
“Sidney—“
“Take the nice man’s offer, momma,” Andy interrupted, his teeth chattering.
Y/N glared at Andy. “I was going to say yes. I’m not going to let you freeze.”
Andy blushed. “Sorry, momma. I just know how you can be.”
Y/N sighed and bent down to kiss Andy on the forehead. “I will always put you first, Andy. Always,” Y/N stood back up. “Where is your car, Sidney?”
—————————
Sidney pulled up to a mediocre brick apartment building in a shabby part of Pittsburgh. “Do you think Uncle Z will be back tonight, momma?” Andy yawned.
“Probably not bud,” Sid answered. “Your Uncle Z is out with some of the guys. He might stay with Olli tonight.”
“He’s with Olli a lot. Why aren’t you with the guys?” Andy asked.
“Because I wanted to spend the night with you and your mom,” Y/N was quiet throughout the conversation. “Shall I walk you guys up?”
“You don’t have to, Sidney. You’ve done plenty tonight. I really appreciate it.”
“I insist,” Sid leaned over and whispered, “I’ll be honest too. ZAR asked me to. Not that I wouldn’t have anyway.”
Y/N rolled her eyes and chuckled. “That sounds like him,” Y/N glanced back at her son. Sid looked back too and saw Andy slowly dozing off. “Would you mind carrying him up? It’s been a long day and I don’t want to wake him up. He might be a little heavy though.”
Sidney nodded. “I don’t mind. Maybe I can get out of lifting tomorrow,” he joked, causing Y/N to giggle. “Lead the way to your abode.”
The seven story brick apartment building opened with a simple key code—1-2-3-4 to be in fact. Sidney didn’t understand how this was safe. There was only one set of stairs in the building also, and they lived on the seventh floor.
“No wonder ZAR hates cardio workouts but is really good at them,” Sidney commented by the time they got to the fourth flight of stairs. “This is quite the workout.”
“Zach isn’t really here much any more,” Y/N told him. “He’s only here during the season when he’s on the roster. He has been spending a lot of time with Olli. I think they are thinking about getting a place together, but I know Zach doesn’t want to abandon us. He’s always been so supportive and I will always be grateful for that and liking out for us, but I just want him to live his own life. I did it before he got here. I can do it again.”
At the fifth flight Sidney heard the thump of music. At the sixth the moans of sex. Andy didn’t stir through the whole trip up. Once they reached the seventh floor, they had to go to the opposite end of the building to Y/N’s apartment. Sidney briefly stopped in front of one apartment, 7E, where he heard lots of screaming and yelling. Y/N shoved him along and stopped two doors down at 7C. Quickly she unlocked the door and shooed Sidney in.
“Andy’s room is this way,” she told him.
“Is that couple going to be okay?” Sidney asked.
She shrugged. “They fight all the time. As long as they don’t disturb apartment 7K, everyone will be fine and the cops won’t be called. I’m praying that doesn’t happen. It’s just a mess then.”
“Y/N, this isn’t safe,” Sidney whispered. He laid Andy down in his bed and walked out with Y/N. “This can’t be good for Andy.”
Y/N bit her lip and crossed her arms. Sidney watched many emotions cross her face. “I work the front desk at a downtown hotel and occasionally waitress at the hotel’s restaurant when someone can watch Andy. I can’t get a nice little townhouse and pay for the hospital bills. This isn’t where I ever pictured myself being.”
Sidney lunges forward to catch her as she collapsed in tears. He held her close and walked towards the couch. Y/N curled into his touch as he sat down. Sidney didn’t say anything; he just let her cry and rubbed her back. That’s what she needed. She was a 29 year old with an 8 year old son. Both hadn’t had the best life, but Y/N was doing her very best to make sure Andy was ahead in life, even if cancer pushed him back. She had no time for herself, Sidney realized. She had no one to vent or cry to. She put everyone ahead of her and left nothing for herself. She was alone—just like him.
Sidney glanced down and saw her tears had stopped and her breathing was even. Sidney didn’t have the heart to move her; besides, he liked the feel of someone being next to him. He could survive this one night.

The Merchant of Venice (2004) Review
Tumblr media
"I am a'weary of this world."
When a merchant's ships are all lost and he forfeits a debt, his debtor Shylock demands exactly what the bond stipulates – a pound of his flesh...
The Merchant of Venice is a tricky play, because although popular and including some of Shakespeare's most famous lines, the themes of the play make it difficult to produce for modern audiences. As far as Shakespeare was concerned, the play was clearly a comedy. It ends in marriage, generally a marker of comedy in Shakespearean drama (it was written before the late 'Romance' plays). Most of the plot is clearly ridiculous; Portia's late father's method for choosing a husband for her is obviously ludicrous, there are women dressing up as men and tricking their new husbands, and even Shylock's demand for a pound of flesh has a comedic aspect (note that although in the court the bond is written to stipulate a pound of flesh from near the heart, when he first suggests it, Shylock says he'll take it from 'what part of your body pleaseth me' – and if I've learned anything about Shakespeare's sense of humour over the years, I can guess what that refers to). But we in the twenty-first century don't generally find anti-semitism, condoning slavery, implied homophobia, references to racism and forcing people on pain of death to change their religion terribly funny.
There are only really two solutions to this – play the romantic scenes for comedy and the Shylock scenes for drama, or play the whole thing for drama. Michael Radford's film goes all out for drama, and it mostly works very well. Unlike Hamlet, which I quite like modern dress versions of, The Merchant of Venice is a film set in a very specific time and place (here it's given it a date of 1596, when the play was probably written) and the film places it firmly within history by outlining the history of anti-semitism in early modern Venice in title cards at the beginning. This is pretty much essential to understanding the story, and the visualization of Antonio spitting on Shylock (referred to later in dialogue) also helps to set up the characters and the root of Shylock's anger effectively.
Shylock is a character much like Euripides' Medea – he has a wonderful speech outlining how badly he's treated and arguing passionately for better, but his actions later in the play suggest that the author did not intend him to be entirely sympathetic (rather under-cutting the suggestion that Shakespeare was making a plea for tolerance or Euripides a feminist). For modern audiences, though, he is a compellingly conflicted character, and here he is played brilliantly by Al Pacino. Pacino's performance is captivating and heart-breaking and the courtroom scene is absolutely gut-wrenching.
The decision to play the story completely straight (there are elements of humour, of course, but none of the really broad comedy or light atmosphere of, for example, the lighter scenes in Much Ado About Nothing) mostly works. Some of the romantic scenes come across as a bit overblown and melodramatic, but the conflict between working from a script written as comedy and making it a drama only really becomes an issue in the courtroom scene and especially in the final twenty minutes or so after it. It's great that Portia saves the day with her quick thinking, but the fact that she makes the least convincing man since Bob in Blackadder is a bit distracting, and there's just no way we can feel really invested in the lovers messing around with rings and easily broken promises after watching the absolute devastation of Shylock's defeat.
Still, these are pretty much unsolvable problems in this play, and it would be a terrible shame never to produce it because its attitudes are out of date (it's hardly alone there). I think this film really does the best possible job with this material. All of the cast, as well as Pacino, are fantastic, and the American actresses playing Portia and Nerissa are doing the best and most convincing fake English accents I've come across. It looks absolutely gorgeous and it has one of the most beautiful film scores I've ever heard. A combination of medieval-inspired music, Tudor-inspired music, a boy soprano and a song sun by Hayley Westernra, the score is utterly gorgeous and is matched by the incredible cinematography and beautiful costuming.
According to Wikipedia, both Jeremy Irons (playing Antonio) and director Michael Radford thought that they had portrayed Antonio and Bassanio's relationship as just platonic good friends. I'm not sure what film they were watching, because one of the first observations that came to me as I re-watched it was "this version really plays up the suggestion that Antonio is in love with Bassanio." Joseph Fiennes (as Bassanio) did deliberately play up the idea of a homoerotic attraction (possibly a history) between them. I am a person who will argue for hours that Frodo and Sam have an entirely platonic relationship, and I can see how you could play Antonio and Bassanio as just good friends, but I don't think that's what they've actually achieved here – and I think that's a good thing.
Because of the dramatic approach taken to the material, the film has a deliberately melancholy air, and rather than ending on everyone going off to finally get laid, as the script does, the film finishes on a shot of Jessica, who is revealed not to have given away her mother's ring for a monkey after all, looking sad and pensive. This melancholic atmosphere is enhanced by the shots of Antonio looking on wistfully as Bassanio and Portia embrace. The film has turned Shakespeare's bawdy comedy into a serious drama about love and pain and betrayal and acceptance, or lack thereof, so it seems entirely appropriate to interpret Antonio's love as another example of a character constrained and made to suffer for what he is, and every choice both director and actor make seems to reinforce that, from Antonio gazing out at Bassanio and denying that he's in love (methinks he doth protest too much) to his emphasis on his willingness to put his body on the line for Bassanio. You almost have to be trying not to see it to miss it. If that wasn't what Radford and Irons intended, they've gone wrong somewhere.
This is a difficult story, but this film does a fantastic job making it accessible, approachable and absolutely beautiful. I love me some Kenneth Branagh, as you know, but in terms of tackling something really difficult really well, this has got to be one of the best Shakespeare adaptations I've ever seen, and much as we might have come to expect it of him, it's worth saying again that Pacino completely blew me away. Beautiful in every way.
Notes and Quotes
The cast is absolutely full of familiar faces, some known before this film, some after; Joseph Fiennes, Kris Marshall from Love Actually/My Family, Charlie Cox from Stardust/Downton Abbey, Zuleikha Robinson from Rome, Mackenzie Crook, John Sessions, Jeremy Irons...
The quote at the top of the page is the version of Portia's opening line used in this film, but the full line is usually "my little body is a-weary of this great world." It's one of my Mum's favourite Shakespeare quotes, partly because of the 'little body' bit.
Prince of Morocco (reading from a scroll): All that glitters is not gold...
Shylock: I am a Jew. Hath not a Jew eyes? Hath not a Jew hands, organs, dimensions, senses, affections, passions? Fed with the same food, hurt with the same weapons, subject to the same diseases, healed by the same means, warmed and cooled by the same winter and summer, as a Christian is? If you prick us, do we not bleed? If you tickle us, do we not laugh? If you poison us, do we not die? And if you wrong us, shall we not revenge?
Portia: The quality of mercy is not strain'd, It droppeth as the gentle rain from heaven Upon the place beneath: it is twice blest; It blesseth him that gives and him that takes.

Thanks to the lovely @bitsandbobsandstuff for taking the time to answer these! Get to know more about lovely Kris, go give her a follow and then show her some love!
These questions are from this list. You should check it out, there’s 50 questions all together and they’d be great to ask your favorite fic writer!
1) How old were you when you first starting writing fan-fiction?
Looking back, my first attempt at fanfic was probably when I was 11-years-old and I couldn’t wait for the next ‘Babysitters Club’ book to come out, so I wrote my own story. I think it featured Stacey McGill and horses. I really fucking wish I could find it… But honestly, I didn’t really understand the world of fanfiction until I joined Tumblr. So outside of those little forays when I was younger, I’d say it was last year when I realised it was a thing I could do and people might be interested, so let’s say my 30s.
2) Do you prefer writing OC’s or reader inserts? Explain your answer.
When it comes to fanfic, I prefer Reader inserts. They feel more inclusive and frankly, even as a writer it can be easier to imagine myself in the shoes of the reader character (so I can understand their thoughts and feelings and motivations), if I don’t have a specific name attached to them.
5) When is your preferred time to write?
Either first thing in the morning (coffee and morning air are excellent inspiration) or Saturday afternoons.
6) Where do you take your inspiration from?
Constant reading. I’m that nerd at the bus stop or waiting at the movie theatre or walking down the street with my nose in a book. I also try to draw on real life experiences/ situations when I can, it gives stories more texture.
7) In your Safe With Me fic, what’s your favorite scene that you wrote?
I’m going to be cheeky and say it’s a tie – the dance scene in Chapter 8 and the trigger scene in Chapter 15. The realisations they both had within the few minutes of their dance together felt like such a great payoff for everything up until that point, and I loved imagining Bucky in that black suit (and I just love that song ‘Run to you’). The trigger scene was so much fun just to  resurface and/ or create all Bucky’s memories, especially the ones with the Soldier…they were like mini-stories of their own.
8) Have you ever amended a story due to criticisms you’ve received after posting it?
Nope. Everyone has a different vision and every story is unique for a reason.
9) Who is your favorite character to write for? Why?
Clearly, I’m such a sucker for Bucky Barnes. 😊 His character has been through so many things over his lifetime, you can take him in a hundred directions and they can still feel true to source material (both MCU and comics). He can be a battle-weary soldier or a sassy little shit, and it all links back to some iteration of his personality at some point in his life – whether pre-WW2, Winter Soldier days, or now. I’d like to branch out and try others (or maybe other fandoms) at some point, but I’m content with him for now.
11) How did you come up with the title for the Safe With Me?
I knew I wanted the title to be a line of dialogue, because I like the symmetry of finding titles inserted in a story, and I knew I wanted it to be something ‘safety’ related, since that was the theme of the story. In Chapter 3, Bucky gives the reader a little speech at the end, telling her he’ll do anything he needs to protect her, and after re-working that a little, I came up with the ‘you’re safe with me’ line, and that became the title!
12) How did you come up with the idea for Safe With Me?
I wanted to try a series for a long time, but was always  so intimidated by the idea - I’m blown away by the writers on here who do so many series, the time it takes is nuts. For SWM, there were certain themes I personally wanted to find in a story - what it means to be safe, how sometimes evil people can live right next to you, the importance of mental health...all those concepts were used as foundations to the story and the colour was created around them. Sometimes things went in the direction I wanted, sometimes they took unexpected left turns as I was writing - I think you really have to be okay being led by your gut sometimes. Things like lemon drug or Tony’s tech or changing the purpose of the trigger words were random ideas that fell into place. My brain is a weird place to be sometimes.
14) Are there any stories that you’ve written that you’d really love to do a sequel to?
I’ve thought about doing something else with ‘Bless me father’ (still the strangest, weirdest, dirtiest story I’ve written) maybe a prequel or sequel, but still mulling over ideas.
16) Tell me about another writer(s) who you admire? What is it about them that you admire?
There are so many on Tumblr I love, but three in particular I would point out.
@a-splash-of-stucky: Elsa is a literal poet. The way she writes, the images she conjures and phrases she uses, are beyond gorgeous.
@justreadingfics: Ally can set up a scene like you wouldn’t believe. I am also in continual awe of someone who can write so beautifully when it’s not their first language.
@4luvofall: Cristina nails the dialogue every single time. Her characters are always a little sassy and a little funny, and I want to go drinking with them (and her). Outside of Tumblr, my favourite book is A Tree Grows in Brooklyn and I would be happy to read Harry Potter every day for the rest of my life.
17) Do you have a story that you look back on and cringe when you reread it?
No stories, although sometimes I’ll read old dialogue or descriptions and roll my eyes a little! I think it’s important to read your old stuff and recognise how far you’ve come or how your style has changed.
18) Do you prefer listening to music when you’re writing or do you need silence?
I have a writing playlist that is mostly Sigur Ros and Sleeping at Last, with a heavy dose of movie soundtracks like Lord of the Rings. But sometimes, I put headphones in and just listen to silence.
19) Have you ever cried whilst writing a story?
I’ve gotten a little emotional at points, but never full on cried. I have sobbed like a baby while reading though, good lord.
20) Which part of your Safe With Me fic was the hardest to write?
I think the club scene in Chapter 12 was the hardest. The idea was to use the scenery and secondary characters and music to build the tension through the course of the night, until everything collapsed. Finding the right flow and making sure it didn’t feel too rushed was really hard, it took me a long time to work through.
21) Do you make a general outline for your stories or do you just go with the flow?
I tend to make an outline. For one-shots, it’s never long – just listing out the key points and scenes I want to hit. For SWM it was long – the outline was more than 15,000 words. Admittedly, I’m somewhat Type A, so I need structure to function. 😊
23) Do you have a story that you feel doesn’t get as much love as you’d like?
Probably my first Stucky story, ‘The language of a kiss’. I was hesitant to post it – it wasn’t long after I read ‘Not easily conquered’ which was one of the most mind-blowing literary experiences of my life. I love the story and have gotten lovely comments on it, but I think AO3 tends to be a better place for Stucky stories, Tumblr leans more toward Reader insert.
25) Are any of your characters based on real people?
Yes! The reader for ‘Safe with me’ was based heavily on yours truly! Most of her dialogue came very easy because it’s how I speak in real life (full of F-bombs and insults that rarely make sense). Some of Bucky’s dialogue and sass was based on my husband, the way those two bickered in the story was pretty close to real life.
26) What’s the biggest compliment you’ve gotten?
Some of the compliments I’ve received for ‘Safe with me’ have been genuinely unbelievable. Several people have said the story inspired them to write again, which I’m so excited to hear. The biggest compliment though, was probably someone telling me the story helped ease them through a depressive episode in their life. That hit particularly close to home and I can’t express how happy I was to hear that.
29) Do people know you write fan-fiction?
My husband and a few close friends. The first time I told my best friend, who is not remotely into fandom, I gave her ‘Safe with me’ at chapter 12 and she read the entire thing overnight and by 8a the next morning I was getting texts saying “are you awake and if so are you writing because you can’t do this to me.” Hearing someone with no interest in Marvel say that was pretty fun.
30) What’s you favorite minor character you’ve written?
Definitely Riz in ‘Safe with me’. I picture him hanging out in his little kiosk in downtown Manhattan, playing Candy Crush and watching the world go by. He has to have some great stories.
31) What spurs you on during the writing process?
Deadlines! I work so much better under pressure. If I ever had to write a thesis, I would wait until two days before it’s due.
33) Can you remember the first fic you read? What was it about?
I think it was the ‘Worth Fighting For’ series by @serzhantkris. The plot was based on Mulan, and followed the reader who took her brother’s place in the army during WW2 - she went though basic and got deployed and captured as part of the 107th. She was a feisty and amazing character, and I’m always a sucker for 1940s Bucky. The story is broken out across the three Captain America movies and it is seriously breathtaking – sweet, cheeky, full of action, and completely heartbreaking.
34) If you could write only angst, fluff or smut for the rest of your writing life, which would it be and why?
I think I’m going with angst. I like being able to dig into something and maybe cause a little pain in the process. 😉

Sidney Crosby - Let It Snow
Tumblr media
Masterlist
word count: 1,796
I know it's going to sound crazy but I have never seen snow. I have seen many many pictures of it but I have never seen it in feel life. Living in the south you don’t see snow. Last year my boyfriend tried to get me to come see him while it was supposed to snow but I couldn’t. When I would go up to see him it wasn't snowing or he would just come to see me whenever he could. Now I am sitting in an airport about to go see him and its suppose to snow. and it just so happens to be a special game for him.
My boyfriend is Sidney Crosby captain of the Pittsburgh Penguins. We have been dating for a year and a half now. He can be the biggest pain in my ass but man I love that man and I haven’t even told him.
The flight wasn’t bad, a little rough at times but we have landed safely in Pittsburgh. I was walking through the airport and saw so many people wearing penguins shirts and sweatshirts, a lot of them at Sid’s name on the back of them. I bet some of them would freak if they knew he was in the airport right now.
I looked around for my handsome boyfriend but I couldn’t find him. I went to grab my phone out of my bag when someone from behind covered my eyes. I smiled and placed my hands on top of there. I knew exactly who it was.
“Sidney?” They removed their hands and I turned around and jumped into his arms. “I’ve missed you!”
“Not as much as I’ve missed you,” Sid said in my ear. We pulled away and saw that he had a black hat on and a grey sweatshirt. His hat was pulled down low so no one will recognize who he was.
“Lets getting going before I hear someone yell out your name.” He laughed took my bag from me and put his arm around me.
“So it's not supposed to start snowing till later tonight so I was thinking we could go for dinner in the city and then a walk in the park,” Sidney said while we were walking in the parking deck.
“Well, aren’t you romantic.” I turn to him.
“Don’t tell the guys otherwise I wouldn’t hear the end of it.” He unlocked the car and put my bags in the back.
“What you don’t want me to tell your team that their captain is a softy? That you planned a romantic evening for your girlfriend that you haven’t seen in months? You don’t think they would understand? You don’t think they do the same thing for their wives and girlfriends?” I teased him knowing that as soon as the guys found out that they wouldn’t let him forget it, but the same goes for the other guys if Sid found out that they did something sweet for their wife or girlfriend he would tease them even though he would do the same thing. That's just how they are.
“Some of the guys already know about this, to be honest. They helped with everything.” I looked at him confused.
“Helped you with everything? How hard was it to figure out dinner and a walk in the park Sid?”
“Oh um, they helped me find a good place to eat around the park I want to take you to.” There was something off about that he looked panicked. We didn’t talk the rest of the ride. It was a nice quiet ride. Sid grabbed my hand and intertwined our figures while they land in my lap.
I walked down the stairs to see Sid waiting for me on the couch. He had told me to dress nice. I was wearing a long sleeve tight black dress with red heels. I looked Sidney over he was in a black suit with no tie. I have one hot boyfriend.
“You look gorgeous.” Sid saw me standing there and got up from where he was sitting.
“Well, you don’t look so by yourself.” He wrapped his arms around my waist. I leaned up closer to him to press my lips to his. I have gone months without feeling those lips. Every time I kiss him it feels like the first time. I can hear the fireworks go off. I feel the butterflies in my stomach.
“We should get going or they might give our table away.” Him and I both knew they wouldn’t give our table away. If he gave them his name then they wouldn’t dare to give it away. People in this city think Sidney Crosby is their god.
I followed Sid to the car. He opened the door for me and walked to the driver's side. How did I get so lucky? He is truly my best friend he is the person I call when I am upset, angry, happy whatever mood I am in I call him. I am in love with Sidney Crosby and I think I am going to tell him tonight. The only thing going through my head right now is the what if’s. What if he doesn’t feel the same way. What if he walks out in the middle of the dinner after I tell him. What if he just laughs in my face. So many swimming around in my head.
“Y/N?” I jumped a little. I was way too into my thoughts I didn’t realize that we were parked I’m guessing at the place we were eating. “Are you okay?”
“Yes. I was just thinking.” I got out the car before Sid.
“What were you thinking about?” I looked over at him and looked away. I am going to tell him just not right now maybe at dinner or maybe at our walk in the park that would be so cute.
“I will tell you later right now let's get our table and eat I am starving.” I walked a little ahead of Sid even though I have no idea where I am going but Sid grabs my arm and stops me.
“You passed where we are eating.” I followed him to the restaurant.
After we order dinner we were just talking about random things. Our families were a thing we talked most about. We have been planning on both of our families meeting. At first, I was a little worried about it because that is such a big step but I thought about it long and hard and I think we were ready to take that step. The only question now is when the best time to do that both of our families have time off from work. We both want our siblings there so we have to figure out their schooling as well.
I guess now would be a good time to tell time. I have never told anyone that I loved them before besides my family. I have never felt this way about a guy before I meet Sid.
“Sid.” He looked up at me and smiled. “I love you.” He didn’t stop smiling. I didn’t think I was just going to come out and say it I thought I would say something before but nope.
“I love you too.” I let out a breath. “Were you nervous telling me that?”
“Yes, I was. I know I shouldn’t have been but I was I’m just really happy and just seeing you sitting there across from me I was nervous.” Sid leads back in his chair and crossed his arms over his chest.
“You had nothing to worry about. I was going to say I love you tonight too.” I looked at him in shock. He then lead over the table so that he was closer to me. “Can I tell you a secret?”
“Of course you can.” I smiled.
“I am nervous about something too tonight.” Our food came and Sid moved back into his chair. After the food was in front of us he just dug in like he never said anything.
“What are you nervous about Sidney?” I asked him. He stopped eating and looked up at me.
“You will find out soon enough. Let's just enjoy dinner.” He kills me every time with that smile of his and he knows it.
We finished with dinner and went walking in the park. There was Christmas light all around. I looked around at the couples that were walking and the parents with there kids. I stopped where I was which made Sidney stop and look at me.
“Sid is that Kris, Evgeni, and Phil?” Sid looked where I was looking and didn’t say anything. I then saw the rest of the Penguins team. What is going on? “Sidney, what are my parents doing here?”
“This is the thing I was talking to you about Y/N.” I looked back at him. “You are my best friend, my soul mate. When I saw you at the Tampa Bay Lighting’s game I thought you were beautiful. It just sucked that I would never get to meet you. But then when you walked into that bar that we were celebrating at. I knew I couldn’t let you leave that bar without knowing your name and hoping I would get your number.  You have made me fall in love with you since I saw you at that game. I was ready to tell you that I loved you the first month we were together but as you know I didn’t tell you till tonight and you beat me to it. I love you so much Y/N will you marry me?” Sidney got down on one knee and pulled out a small red box and opened it. It had the most beautiful ring. I was about to say something when I felt something wet on my face I looked up and saw that it was snowing. I smiled and looked back at the man on one knee.
“Sidney Crosby I would love to marry you.” He got up wrapped his arms around me picked me up and spun me around. I then heard people clapping and cheering.
“Your mom told me the perfect way you wanted to get proposed to you wanted everyone that we loved there our friends and family” I looked around I saw my parents my brothers Sidney’s parents and sister, the team my friends from high school and college. I couldn’t have asked for anything else.
“And its snowing did you plan that too?”
“No I didn’t it wasn't supposed to start for another few hours but it was perfect timing.” I laughed and kissed him one more time before we went to say hello to everyone.

You whimpered feeling the blood ooze out of the wound left by your assailant with no knowledge of who or why it happened. You weren’t healing like you should have been for some reason and it tore your study partner apart. He sat there by your side as your life trickled out of you and as it left your body he felt the pain fill his body.

“You can’t die on me.” Stiles cried out, “Who’s going to alternate watching tv, looking over our studies and talking about how we’ll apply to the same bureau location?”

“Y-you’ll live.” You gasped placing your hand on his cheek leaving a red print on his skin, with shaky hands you tried to swipe it off but only smeared it more.
“Why aren’t you healing!” Stiles cried out tugging you closer, “I can’t lose the love of my life.”
“That’s why.” The new voice interrupted as Stiles felt some relief, “Hey Y/N. I came as a soon as I could. I know why you aren’t healing.”
“Why?!” Stiles demanded. His eyes filled with tears, the ocean would be jealous of, were a searing mixture of agony and anger. Whether Stiles was angry at Scott for not being there wasn’t conclusive.
“She’s feeling guilty.” Scott said taking your hand and winced as the black veins appeared on his skin. He was taking as much pain away as he could before he flinched back.

“I-I caused you to break it off with Lydia.” You gasped at the sharp pain, “I was cruel to do that.”
“You didn’t do anything though.”
“I exist in your world where I shouldn’t. You belong with that gorgeous friend and you’ll get back together.” You gasped again before slowly closing your eyes. You screamed as a bone was forced to bend in a way it shouldn’t with Scott wincing both at your pain and Stiles’ glare.
“You did nothing wrong. Lydia and I were having problems already and I can’t help falling in love you more and more each day.” Stiles pleaded stroking your hair out of your eyes, “Don’t give up on us.”

You grunted in response before collapsing into the dark unknown abyss leaving Stiles shattered and Scott frantically looking over you. Stiles, in typical fashion, physically followed your limp body done until his sobs warmed your cooling skin and grasped your hands so tight. Scott knelt back as his best friend broke to the same point as the day Claudia died.
“Stiles.” Scott whispered placing his hand on the emotionally raw male.
“Why?!”
“Stiles! She’s fine!” Scott yelled, “The combined knowledge of your love for her and breaking her bone kickstarted her healing. She’s unconscious so her body can heal without strain.”

“A-are you sure?” Stiles sniffled.
“Put your head on her chest.” Listening to his best friends Stiles did as he was told. The small smile that crested onto his face showed that he too could hear the heartbeat of the girl.
“We should get her into the vet clinic so Deaton can look after her. More experience.” Stiles fixed his sentence at the offended expression on Scot’’s face.
“Fine.” Scott shook his head leaning done to scoop her into his arms.

“No! Let me.” Stiles demanded shoving Scott away before straining his body under the weight of Y/N. Now you weren't heavy but Stiles wasn’t known to be very strong even with a sixty pound box.
Grunting Stiles managed to do the oddest walk to the baby blue jeep outside in the parking lot. Scott, bless his soul, managed to let only a few laughs slip passed his lips. With a scowl Stiles slid you into the front seat and secured you in by the seatbelt.

“Where am I supposed to sit?”
“The back.” Stiles retorted turning the keys. There was an odd sound from the jeep before Stiles copied the actions to get the jeep running.
“But the front is my seat!”
“Not today. Get in.” Stiles exclaimed as Scott unceremoniously landed uncomfortably on the floor in the back of the cramped jeep. He was sometimes terrified of his best friend whether it be from his previous possession by the Nogitsune or just being Stiles.
“Stiles calm down.” Scott soothed, “She’s going to be okay.”
“We don’t know that.” Stiles retorted reaching over to caress her arm unable to live without some form of physical touch.
“You can trust me to say that because it’s true.”
“No Scott! The last time someone said it was going to okay was when a doctor told me, ‘everything is going to be fine son, she’ll be okay’ but she wasn’t.” Stiles snapped glaring at his best friend.
The ride was filled with anxious silence that nearly choked the True Alpha with the highly concentrated pheromones coming from the human boy. Typically Scott could ignore the pheromones but the intense mixture of grief, worry, love and sadness was too intense so he rolled down the window with a lot of effort.
“What happened?” Deaton questioned his hands going over the girls limbs with professional care.

“You should tou-“
“I’m a doctor Stiles. This is strictly concern for my patient and friend.” Deaton reassured him, “Now tell me what caused this and why she wasn’t able to heal on her own?”
“It was dark. I didn’t see when it happened. When I heard her whimper I tried to get over as soon as I could but when I got there it was only her.” Stiles bit his lip frowning as he did so.
“It was human. Nothing was supernatural about it.” Scott said blinking.
“Are you sure?” Stiles questioned pushing his head to stare at the werewolf.

“Definitely. It was a scent, human scent, that I had no prior interference with.”
“Okay so there was nothing supernatural about it but that doesn’t explain why she’s healing slow.”
“Guilt.” Scott muttered, “She’s guilty because Stiles is giving her attention and she returns the attention but the knowledge that Lydia is hostile towards her is paining her.”

“Lydia and I broke up over something that wasn’t connected to Y/N at all. It was only after the breakup that I discovered that I love her in ways that I had never and could never love Lydia. There’s something magnetic about her that both challenges and excites me.” Stiles started, “Maybe it was her quiet concern for everyone or maybe it was how she fought for what she believed was right.”
“I get it.” Deaton replied smiling at the young man, “She does too.”
“What do you mean?” Stiles exclaimed lunging over to the table.

“She’s healing.” Deaton smiled pointing to the wound on her stomach that glued itself back together leaving only blood staining her skin.
“Y/N? Sweetheart?” Stiles whispered crouching to be level with the table, “Can you hear me?”

“Y-yeah.” You sighed fluttering your eyelids to meet the honey brown irises on the one person you wanted to see for the rest of your life. Stiles Stilinski.

“Oh thank god.” Stiles cried crushing your head against his shoulder as tears began to rain down both of your cheeks, “I love you so much.”
“I love you too.” You mumbled back equally relieved.
“Called it.” Deaton smiled towards Scott, “I told you they would get together. In simple english the only way to describe them is soulmates.”
Tumblr media
“Congratulations! Grads of Beacon Hills High School!” With that you, Stiles, Scott, Lydia, and Malia stood up with the rest of the graduating class. Hats were tossed while Stiles pulled you in for a long overdo excited kiss.
“I love you.” Stiles said with a small smile, “I’m so happy that you’re coming with me.”
“There’s no place I would rather be.” You smiled back.

We Asked 11 Brewers: What Classic Craft Beer Are You Drinking Right Now?
Tumblr media
With the majority of the world under varying degrees of lockdown as governments attempt to combat the devastating effects of the novel coronavirus and subsequent Covid-19 pandemic, many beer drinkers are seeking comfort, relaxation, and familiarity in their beer choices.
Whether it takes the form of drinking your cellar, raiding the stash of bottles squirreled away for a rainy day, or returning to old, familiar classics, brewers and beer consumers alike are looking for the liquid form of pulling on your favorite sweatpants, but in a pint glass, bottle, or can.
From the OG Sierra Nevada Pale Ale, to beloved Belgian stalwart Orval, here’s what 11 brewers around the world are reaching for during this scary time.
I’ve been getting down with some Ska Brewing True Blonde Ale. Crisp and delicious, this low-ABV classic American blonde is perfect for an all-day drinking session, especially with the weather in Denver warming up. It has also been helping in quarantine to help feel connected to some of my favorite homies. Ska has been one of my favorite breweries for the last 13 years and the people there are some of the nicest and most modest in the industry. Cracking this beer brings me back to anniversary parties of years past, skanking in the parking lot to some legendary ska bands, celebrating with friends that are more like family. I can’t wait for the day when I can make the trek back down to Durango to dance, hug, and crack a cold one with all of the rude boys and girls of the ska fam.” — Bess Dougherty, Head Brewer, Grateful Gnome Sandwich Shoppe and Brewery, Denver
“The classic craft beer I’m currently drinking is Sierra Nevada Pale Ale. The quality, consistency, and deliciousness is undeniable. I’ve been fortunate enough to have visited both of their beautiful, awe-inspiring campuses over the past few years and to say the experiences are life-changing for a small brewer is an understatement. Each sip takes me back and renews my gratitude to be a part of this industry and community.” — Joel Kodner, Head Brewer, West Palm Brewery, West Palm Beach, Fla.
“These days, I find myself drawn by session beers in general. Currently I am drinking Verdant Brewing Co.’s Lightbulb. I think this beer is one of the true bridge builders between modern and postmodern beer. It embodies many of the fruity elements that the NEIPAs have come to symbolize but with a remarkably low ABV for the style, and body enough to keep you interested.” — Søren Parker Wagner, Founder, Dry & Bitter Brewing Company, Copenhagen, Denmark
“Recently I have been getting reacquainted with Adnams, and in particular, Broadside. It’s autumn down here, and lockdown means time to cook up hearty dishes that scream out for this fruity malty masterpiece. I’m not sure I get the whiff of the salty sea air that Roger Protz once romantically tasted in the Adnams beers, but it does taste like Christmas cake, and spiked prunes. Delicious.” — Kieran Haslett-Moore, Head Brewer, North End Brewery, Waikanae, New Zealand
“During quarantine, I’ve mainly been supporting local breweries but I recently bought four bottles of Orval, and it reminded me why it’s always on lists like these. It’s appropriate for any mood or occasion. I had one right out of the bottle while grilling in my backyard and I served it in flutes on my wedding anniversary because I didn’t have any Champagne handy. It was perfect both times. Like a Pixar movie, Orval can be enjoyed on multiple levels. On the surface, it’s a simple, balanced beer that you don’t have to think about to enjoy. But, if you do feel like thinking about it, there’s so much to appreciate. It’s one of the few beers to truly showcase each ingredient — water, malt, hops, yeast. They are all there in perfect balance, but somehow each stands out on their own. It’s all elevated by a prickly carbonation from the secondary fermentation in the bottle, which also gives it a nearly unlimited shelf life. A perfect beer for any occasion that lasts forever — what else could you ask for in a quarantine beer?” — Michael Graham, Co-Founder, Austin Beer Works, Austin, Texas
“The lockdown situation has made us anxious to linger in the supermarkets perusing the craft beers on offer (usually Scottish or behemoth, no in-between) and with no local speciality shops, we’ve been enjoying ordering from similar-size breweries. So rather than relying on classics we’re delving head first into trying completely new things. The communal hashtag #CraftBeerHour has introduced us to so many small breweries all over the place and we’ve been loving having weekly care packages arriving. Most recently, Simon was sent a case of Belgian goodies from his family including his all-time fave Orval and my all-time fave Tripel Karmeliet, which are undeniable classics… but I’ve been getting stuck into everything I can get my hands on, from The Wild Beer Co. and Brass Castle. Next on the wish list is The Kernel. It’s a pain living hours away from any real beer scene, but we’re hoping things are changing and everyone is really pulling together at the moment and which we’ll truly applaud. Slàinte!” — Freja MacDougall, Co-founder, Ben Nevis Brewery, Glenfinnan, Scotland
“Jaipur is one of my favorite beers. It’s always been a safe port in a storm and one of the beers that really changed the game for me. Back in my Marble Brewery days, myself and fellow brewer Dom Driscoll spent quite a lot of time hanging out with Kelly Ryan, who was head brewer at Thornbridge at the time, and I remember them trialing early keg batches when everything around us was in cask, it felt like a giant step for both the beer and the U.K. scene… But the cask will always be my love. The body, honey notes, bitterness, and citrus notes all present in exact amounts for perfect balance to occur. There are a lot of happy memories in that beer and I’m sure there will be many more.” — Colin Stronge, Head Brewer, SALT Beer Factory, Saltaire, U.K.
“In the midst of all the new breweries and beers hitting the market these days, looking back at classic craft brews is not a bad idea. The first De Dolle Brouwers (DDB) beer I had was the revered Stille Nacht (around 2005). However, my favorites of theirs are probably Arabier and Oerbier. But, it is springtime, so I’ll go for the Arabier today. Arabier pours a beautiful pale orange with a frothing, white foam. The nose is estery, herbal, citrusy, floral, and messy in that beautiful DDB way. Tripel meets a strong Belgian pale, you could say. Well attenuated (but certainly not anorectic) and perfectly carbonated (high!). I love the integration of light fruity notes, herbal/grapefruit hoppy goodness, and a firm, rounded bitterness that coats my entire mouth. This beer represents what is so great about Belgian brewing: Brewers do whatever they want (I am sure there is a Flemish word for “f*ck rigid beer style guidelines”). I was lucky enough to visit DDB for the first time earlier this year, fell in love with the 100-plus-year-old brewhouse, and can’t wait to go back. Kris and Els are running a magical and uniquely personal place. But please don’t tell anyone — we want to keep it that way!” — Rune Lindgreen, Beer Developer & Ambassador, People Like Us, Copenhagen, Denmark
“One of my favorite breweries is Pizza Port. I grew up down in Orange County [Calif.] and was introduced to them when I came down to San Diego for a marathon in 1999. I loved the pizza and brewery vibe in Solana Beach and have been a fan ever since. In more recent years, I have been fortunate to pour beers at the same festivals, connect with their brewers and sales staff (hi, Jill!) and visit their San Clemente spot a few times a year while visiting friends and meeting with our sales team and distributors down there. My go-to Pizza Port beer is Swami’s IPA. It’s a classic West Coast IPA that instantly brings me back to beach town vibes. Swami’s is vacation mode in glass. I was fortunate enough to secure a sixtel for my home kegerator just as we were entering this new normal of sheltering in place. Suffice to say it did not last long, and I’m once again longing for my next pint of Swami’s IPA!” — Phil Cutti, Co-founder & Brewer, Headlands Brewing Co., San Francisco
“Right now I’ve got a triple-decocted Czech Pils from Notch in my glass and it’s absolutely gorgeous. When I’m brewing something similar, I try to seek out fresh (local) versions of the style. I love trying what my peers are putting out and learning from it, especially when it’s clean, crisp, and delightfully nuanced like this Pils!” — Gordon Whelpley, Head Brewer, Twelve Percent Beer Project, North Haven, Conn.
“To be honest, I have been drinking a lot of lagers that fall out of the craft category, or some by craft breweries as they try to introduce more of the style into their portfolios, but as one-offs do not fit into the classic category, either. However, if we were to discuss craft classics, there is one I always have in my cellar, and that is Orval. Orval is like the Kinder Egg of beers, because every bottle you open is a surprise. For each pour it feels like a different and exciting experience, and I can never figure out the precise age in which I prefer it, though I can definitely appreciate it fresh with the DH being present as well as an older, more Brett-forward version. And regardless, it is always delicious and will always warm my heart, quench my thirst, and bring a big smile to my face. When in doubt, Orval <3.” — Mariana Schneider, Brewer, Amager Bryghus, Copenhagen, Denmark

Trouble. [4]
The room was cold. You could tell there was still hints of blood lingering within the walls, must have had lots of accidents.
I was sitting in Lay's office as he had just done some x-rays on my stomach and elsewhere. I told him there was really no reason, but all the boys refused me and demanded that I go for a check up.
Beats the real doctors I guess, he was studying the images pretty roughly, I've been sitting here for the past 10 minutes waiting for him to say anything to me.
"Have you ever had a broken rib?" he asks me and I think back to when I first got kidnapped.
I was talking back, which was a stupid idea, and I somehow got out of the ropes on my wrists. Probably from the lack of eating the first couple weeks, my body started the thin.
I was nearly finished helping the girl beside me before someone grabbed my hair and threw me into the wall. I could have sworn my whole body busted. He snickered. I never really seen most of their faces since they wore masks. And I only spoke to 3 of them.
He kicked me while I was down, twice. I groaned in pain.
"Kicking me while I'm down?" I stifle, and try and get up knowing I should stay down and not try and move.
"I can do whatever I want to you," he replies before crouching down near me and runs his nasty fingers down my spine. I groan and I can hear the girl that i was trying to help beg him to stop. Why?
He laughs and walks over to her and grabs the gun from his pants and aims it at her. She looks scared, but I think she doesn't care about dying at this point. Instead he knocks her out.
Thankfully one of the others comes in the room asking why I am on the ground and the other is knocked out. They mutter a few words to each other before I know it I am out cold.
"Yeah, couple times I think," I reply back to him leaving my past where it belongs. He seems tense and puts my x-rays in a folder before walking over to me.
"You're fine as of now, but your x-rays show some shitty stuff, are you sure you're emotionally okay?" he asks with concern in his tone. I nod my head and he lets me leave the room.
Luckily he was following behind me to tell the others what he seen, thankfully everyone is in the same room. Because I have questions.
I smile and stand in the middle of the room so they all can see me and I can see them all.
"I have questions," I announce.
"Go ahead," Suho says. I turn to look at all the faces, they look worried, or confused?
"Who's the leader?"
"Technically I am, and Kris too, even though Xuimin is the oldest, it's better for us." Suho replies.
I nod, "am I a prisoner here?" they all sort of shift in their seats
"No, you aren't," Baekhyun speaks up.
"But I can't leave the property?" I question. He nods.
"Not a prisoner, we should just take you everywhere you need to go," Kris jumps in.
"I want to work out," I announce, not really a question.
"You can work out with me if you like," Xuimin says. I nod, but Suho and Kris have other words.
"Why do you need to work out?"
"We can protect you."
"I don't doubt you can protect me, but I was in the basement for over a year and once a week they let us walk around the room, I haven't worked out in a year." sighing.
They both agree and so does everyone else who sort of seemed off about it.
"Do you have anymore questions?" Chen asks me.
"Two more actually," I say. "Are any of you attracted to me?" I spit out, avoiding all the shocked faces and I try and ignore Baekhyun and Tao blushing. I realize the power I hold over everyone, I am gorgeous, i've practically got them wrapped around my finger.
"Yes, you are very beautiful." Kyungsoo says, everyone else agrees with that statement.
"Would it cause conflicts if I involved myself with you guys, or multiple at a time?"
"If you're asking if we would be willing to share you, the answer is yes, we have an discussed that we would jump your bones if you let us, and if it's about 3sums or orgies, you should be able to figure out which ones would share and who wouldn't" Xuimin smirks at me. I blush under everyone's gaze. I already figured out a few.
I knew they all liked me, it wasn't hard to figure out. If I stood too close to them they would blush. I accidentally brushed my hand up against a few of their hands a couple times. Kyungsoo is really a tomato.
Xuimin announced that I should put on workout clothes and then he would bring me to the gym in the basement.
I was standing in my closet debating if I would try and get Xuimin to fall for me today or another day. I put on some shorts and a black sports bra and a white tank top all whilst putting my hair into a high ponytail.
I lightly jogged down the stairs to meet Xuimin and everyone else seemed to be elsewhere.
"It's downstairs, follow me," I already knew that, but followed him down the stairs anyways. There were a few closed doors that we passed before we made it to a big room that was filled with all types of work out equipment. It was honestly like I was at a public gym.
We stretched together, he was wearing some shorts and a loose tank, I noticed his muscles and how strong he probably is.
Scared because I was worried how weak I have become, I got into sit up position.
"Can you come step on my feet, I'm probably insanely weak by now," I stutter and he comes over and lightly puts a small amount of weight on my feet holding me to the ground.
I was able to do 5 but each time I made this very painful grunt. He looked worried and confused but never said a word. It sounded like childbirth but I was just doing a workout. He smiled trying not to laugh at me. I can feel is gaze upon me as I move my feet out from under his and stand up. They're all taller than me, but for him, I like the height.
He's not leaned over me like Chanyeol is, but it's like decent. I cough trying to clear the awkwardness and decide to ask some questions.
"What else do you guys do besides run one of the most powerful mafias in the world?" I peak up as I grab some weights and start something basic not to strain my body too much.
"Lay works in a hospital, only really when he's free. Baekhyun does some programming stuff, I never really cared to know. Suho and Kris co-own a couple restaurants and hotels. Everyone kind of does their own things, I own some clubs." he says taking the weight off his chest and putting it up on the bars. I nod listening to everything he says.
"So what's in those doors?" I question and walk over to him. He smirks and gets up from his sitting position and faces me.
"Business stuff, couple of those rooms have locks on them for a reason, like when we need to torture someone or discuss matters, in a joke friendly way. But there's a door that only Kris and Suho have keys too that has files on everyone they come in contact with. Including you and I." He replies and places an unexpected hand upon my hip.
"What do you think my file says?" I ask with lust and curiosity.
"Probably mentions when we met you," his fingers rub my hip slowly moving along the hem of my top. "Might mention how god damn sexy you are too," he whispers but I heard him.
"What else?" I ask placing my hand over his, allowing him to move his hand under my top.
"Lay mentioned your broken ribs," he stutters. I see his eyes hover over my chest. I sigh and lift his chin up to my level, so his eyes meet mine.
"I am fine now, I've got it under control." I tell him truthfully, I do have it under control.
"I'm worried about you," he says quickly, I'm quite surprised actually. "We are all worried about you," he admits and sighs.
I cup his cheeks with both my hands, "I want to kiss you, can I kiss you?" I submissively ask him, feeling like he's a dominant type.
Both his hands are now on my waist and he pulls me close to him, our lips are brushed up together. I can feel his hot breath on mine, I can smells scents of coffee on his breath. I take his reaction as a yes and pull his face to mine until our lips are touching. My hands travel to his hair one of his hands has found my butt, whilst the other is skimming my bare skin under my top.
"Use your words," I tell him and his eyes turn dark. A smirk crept on my lips.
"I want you," he says in a dominant tone, I could melt in his palms right now. I pushed him onto the bench behind him and straddled his hips. I heard a low groan come from his lips before smashing mine to his.
Our lips moulded together and his one of his hands cupped my breast earning a moan slip from my lips and he took his chance to enter my mouth with his tongue, taking his time.
I growled on his mouth and started moving my hips on him. I could feel his hard member against my inner thigh.
In one swift movement he removed my shirt and attached his lips to my neck, his other hand found its way between my thighs and moved the fabric of my shorts to one side before palming my clit.
"You're already so wet for me," he smiled before giving my love bites on my chest, a few moans escaped my lips before I grabbed his hand and pulled it away. I could feel his frown on my chest.
I stood off of him, "That's enough for today," I say before looking at him and could see the shock in his eyes and clearly see an outline of his member in his shorts. I smiled before picking up my shirt and exiting the room leaving him alone with himself.
A/N: I was gonna try and update like every Monday and Friday but I think I'm just gonna update whenever. :-) Please share with your friends and give much love, also if you have any questions feel free to ask them. ;-)

Seriously? [Teen!Sam Drake]
Pairings: Teen!Sam Drake x Reader
Request: n/a
About: Sam Drake and the reader outside at midnight, sharing a bottle of vodka. Secrets and suggestive conversations ensue.
Warnings: NSFW mentions, mention of drugs, alcohol, mentions of abuse (geez angsty)
Inspiration: x
Tumblr media
“Hey, calm down,” Sam ushered, catching your fist as you readied it to thump against the skating park ramp. You let out a deep breath, your heart hammering as you willed away the saddened tears in your eyes, angry at yourself for getting upset.
“Fuck! Okay, I’m sorry,” you breathed, exasperated. “I’m just feeling really suffocated in that damn house. Those stupid inconsiderate nuns are starting to piss me off. Am I being dramatic? I feel like I’m being dramatic.”
“A little,” Sam teased, to which you responded by thumping his shoulder. “Ouch. That hurt, you know. I’m sensitive.”
You laughed a little, “yeah, right.”
“It’s true,” Sam spread his arms out, “I am a man in touch with my emotions. Girls think that’s hot, right?”
“Oh, yeah,” I winked at him, “I’m so turned on right now.”
Sam laughed. “Well, that’s the sort of effect I have on the ladies. Can’t blame them, either.”
“What?” You asked, frowning in sarcastic confusion and laughing. “I’m sorry, what?”
“I’m a total hit with chicks! They love me,” Sam continued. “A total specimen. Irresistible, charming, dash-”
“Sam, have you ever even got laid?” You laughed, leaning back against the bars of the ramp you were sat on, your legs dangling over the edge, your skateboard to your side.
“Sure I have,” Sam responded quickly.
“Oh, yeah, to who?” You rose a brow at him, turning to face him.
“To Crystal,” he announced, folding his arms as if announcing an achievement. In response, you rolled your eyes. That girls name always left a bitter taste in your stomach. She was friendly and she was gorgeous, which was the worst part. You didn’t like her.
“And how long did that take? A week?” You shot back at him teasingly.
“A couple months,” he shrugged. “Why does it matter, anyway? What about you, huh?”
“Sure,” you shrugged. “Twice in my whole life. Both horrible, scarring experiences,” you laughed.
“What happened?” Sam asked.
“I don’t think that’s a territory I want to tread foot in again, thank you very much,” you shook your head, rummaging through your bag and pulling out a bottle of cheap vodka. “Want some?”
“Sure,” he accepted, taking a couple of swigs before wincing and handing it back to you. “You’re still telling me this story, though.”
Rolling your eyes, you leaned back and took a swig. “Ah, let’s see. Well, the first guy, his name was Keith or something. Kris? Maybe. I don’t know, they don’t sound like jock names. What’s a jock name that begins with K?”
“Seriously? You don’t even remember his name?” Sam laughed, humming for a while. “Kyle, maybe?”
“Yeah, that’s it,” you laughed as he got it right, taking another swig before passing him the bottle again. “Well yeah, it was at high-school party. I was fifteen. He was seventeen I think, and that was just so cool to me. And yeah, it lasted for about thirty seconds and was the most painful experience ever, in some random strangers bathroom.”
“Classy. Sounds like a great life experience,” Sam teased. “Okay, what about the other one?”
“My drug dealer?” You said it like it was a question.
“You had sex for drugs?” Sam was taken aback, but you shook your head quickly.
“Oh, god no, definitely not,” you denied. “He was super cute and I was into him, so we hooked up a few times. He used me and kinda broke my heart,” you shrugged, “but yeah, he totally supplied me with free weed after that for like three months, but that wasn’t my initial idea.” You sucked in a breath, still feeling a pang of hurt. You truly did care about that stupid idiot, and you thought he’d felt the same. He’d been nice and genuine, but he’d used you.
“Tough stuff,” Sam took a swig of alcohol, “they both sound like total assholes, though. You deserve better than that.”
“Name one guy that’d be fucking worth any of my time,” you rolled your eyes, slightly bitter, slightly tipsy.
Feeling the extra courage from his edge of alcohol, he perked up. “Well, me for starters.”
You glanced over at him for a brief second, his eyes sparkling and his cheeks flushed. Whether that be from the alcohol or his statement, you couldn’t tell. Shuffling, you laughed a little.
“You’re worth all my time, Sam,” you teased, a small grin on your face. “Could you imagine the nuns if they found out? They already know I’m a dreadful sinner, Morgan.”
“Well, they wouldn’t have to find out, would they?” Sam nudged your side playfully, clearly getting excited about the idea. You would be totally down for that, but you’re not sure your emotional stability could handle that. You acted like you were a tough, totally nonchalant girl who didn’t care about anything, but you were quite the contrary. You cared quite a lot.
“Why would you want to be with me anyway? Or at least infatuate yourself with me, albeit romantically, let alone sexually,” you drawled. “I’m a good-for-nothing seventeen year old who’s parents used to beat the crap out of because they were bored.”
Sam winced at your words and you felt a little guilty for saying that sort of thing. It wasn’t his normality and you had to remember that.
“Not everybody feels that way about you, you know,” Sam sighed, “not everyone wants to hurt you.”
“Seems like it.”
“Okay, you’re being dramatic now,” Sam smiled sarcastically. “Course they don’t. Nate loves you to bits, you know.”
“Oh, yeah? And you?” You rose a brow, guarding your smirk behind the neck of the vodka bottle as you sucked the dregs from the bottom.
“More than you’d ever know,” he shook his head, running his fingers through his hair.
“Huh?” You questioned, not quite catching his words.
“Never mind,” Sam smiled, pulling himself to your feet. “Come on. Let’s get your sobered up before you get back to the orphanage. If the nuns see you drunk again you’ll be sleeping in the ‘dungeon’ again.”
“Oh, right,” you shuddered. The ‘dungeon’ was really just the basement where they isolated you from the others to pray until they felt you’d been forgiven. The worst of kids had been down there for a week, at most. “Okay.”
“Come on,” Sam offered you his hand, which you took, easing down the ramp with him. “Let’s get you back, yeah?”
“Yeah.”
