hi guys! I wanted to post this drawing for days! but i kept forgetting about it. But here it is! after taking hours trying to figure out how to paint a beach, marin and link (aka legend) are running around happily.

If I had to get a coin for every time I drew legend running happily next to someone with a very complex background. I would have two coins, which is not much but it's weird that it happened twice.

Anyway, I haven't played link's awakening yet but I'm really looking forward to it! These two look so cute together I couldn't help but draw them now. I hope you like it.

Both marin and link designs are inspired by those made by jojo!

I read somewhere about that Koholint island is somewhat inspired by the Ryukyu islands. I don’t know much about them, but I’m determined to learn more about the geography, culture and people who live there, and I am especially interested in implementing it into my Marin redesigns/Links Awakening art.

If anyone has anything to share, perhaps some helpful links or even better, personal experience, feel free to contact me! I love these kinds of stuff.

eight links are gathered together to retrieve the ninth from a dream

yup. exactly. the amount of pain i feel just imagining the possible ways this could go, especially since tensions would be running high because theyre all basically stranger still who were brought together forcefully by a guy stuck in a dream. some of them would probably be latched onto that fact and not understand how he’s feeling. he knows its a dream and refuses to let go- has created a life in koholint that he will not leave behind. it would be a difficult write and read probably.
