2022 CrossFit Games check-in was for me and my family an overwhelming experience. Its awesome to see the hard work pay off. Same as our walk in Christ. When we devote ourselves to His will & purpose for us, there are a lot less dead-ends in our lives. Romans 12 we are beseeched, urged, begged to dedicate ourselves as living sacrifices. Logical & intelligent. The closer we draw to Him, the more we reject the worlds superficial values & customs, then we see the real deep impact we have on those around us God through us. Kingdom minded is just that. Living to serve not be served. So think clearly and exercise self-control. Look forward to the gracious Salvation that will come to you when Jesus Christ is revealed to the world. So you must live as God’s obedient children. Don’t slip back into your old ways of moving to satisfy your own desires. You didn’t know any better then.
Couldn’t sit and deny it if I wanted to, for a long LONG time I lacked the ability to control myself in feeding my own personal desires. Did things out of emotion versus logic, was always what we like to say in Hawaii’I, DOWN for anything. See I didn’t have a perfect home, but I had loving one. All my bad decisions, were self inflicted. It took me to fall in love so deep that I forgot who I was, and then I lost everything I had. Burned bridges with not only good friends but close family. And to think it was all so I could satisfy a temporary need, or physical want. No amount of words I have to say could help me explain just how foolish that was. That’s why today I look to the Lord when I face troubles. He’s not only my comforter, but my instructor, and a gracious loving leader, as well as a warm and heartfelt father. With age comes wisdom, don’t let the world today or your past control your present or your future. As for me, I’m far perfect and I still struggle every day, but now I know better.
