It's interesting how complicated we make relationships. It doesn't matter if the connection is personal or professional; we tend to complicate them.

Take a second and ponder something with me; how often do you run the conversation through your mind, before actually having it with someone?

Most of the time when we do this, it's due to the fact we don't fully feel safe in the conversation and are trying to anticipate the other person’s reaction to our words.

This is known as “anticipating the rejection.” I’m as guilty as the next at doing this. However, when it comes to a relationship with the Lord it doesn't have to be this complicated.

The Bible says “You know my thoughts before I speak any words.”

Once I got this small, but important truth, I started talking to him without reservation. He already knew what I was going to say, he just wants to chat and help.

I'll challenge you, to just start talking to God today. Don't recite some prayer out of a book, just start talking to him. Even if you don't believe there is a God, you might want to find out for sure.

Whether you believe it or not here are two simple questions you can ask to get the conversation going:

God show me what I need to know about this situation.

God show me what to do in this situation.

Every conversation starts somewhere, so start with a simple question and grow from there!

Just don't complicate the relationship!

I know that it breaks God’s heart for you to doubt His love for you. He doesn’t hold this against you, He just wants to embrace you; His child. I start to get emotional because unfortunately i know that someone is out there questioning and wrestling with accepting God’s love for themselves.

Please doesn’t ever think that you should be loved by man on earth to be loved by God. If you haven’t received acceptance and kindness, if you haven’t been welcomed and celebrated from others this isn’t how God will treat you. Man can only try to reflect who God is, as humans we can only be LIKE Christ.

Everyday of your life is a gift from God. Every struggle you overcome is a testimony! God is directing and guiding you on your path. Your path is unique, your path isn’t for everything and everyone but it’s still worth it :) when the going gets tough push through.

Not a thing can separate you from the love God has for you! He is relentless when it comes to you. You have a Father in heaven who goes to war for you, don’t let anyone tell you different. His love is foreign to the love of the world. You are so precious to God, worth more than the rarest most expensive jewel or diamond. YOU are His pride and joy!
