Kingdom Hearts TNG - Birth by Sleep
This is going to cover the plot line of Birth by Sleep, a fragmentary passage, and before KH1. That being said, there’s a lot to get through. This also dives into a lot of altered backstory for some characters.
First of Aqua, Terra, and Ventus do not have keyblades. There are only 4 keyblades in existence. Kingdom Key, Kingdom Key D, No Name, and the x-blade. Don’t worry. Aqua still has her magic, Ventus has the power of God and Anime on his side, and Terra still has his accordion pants. We’re good.
The group lives at Radiant Garden rather than the Land of Departure.
Also, Apprentice Xehanort is a character all on his own and Master Xehanort isn’t existent. Apprentice Xehanort is the younger brother of Terra.
Apprentice Xehanort is what you’d call an antisocial shut in. He keeps to himself in the library and grew obsessed over recreating an ancient war. That’s why he sets out to separate Ventus and Vanitas.
Aside from the lack of keyblades, the story is pretty much the same, except for Destiny Islands and the ending.
The three give up their wayfinders. Ventus and Sora meet and Ventus gives his wayfinder to Sora. Aqua gives her wayfinder to a teenage Axel. Terra doesn’t give up his wayfinder until later.
Terra doesn’t become Xehanort’s new vessel, considering the fact that Xehanort is still pretty flipping young.
Ventus doesn’t fall asleep, but he still looses his heart as it goes to sleep instead Sora’s. Ven is just walking around without a heart.
Xehanort uses his keyblade (No Name) to trap the group into the Realm of Darkness, erasing the memories of the past few days from everyone they had met, his memories too.
The three wander through the Realm of Darkness. Ven gets separated from the group as he tries to find a way out.
Aqua and Terra arrive at the Great Margin. (This is during the beginning of KH1, which stays completely the same.) A paopu fruit washes onto the shore, the same one Sora tossed aside that Riku gave him.
After making sure it was still ok, Aqua and Terra shared it. Practically proclaiming their love for each other.
About a year of being in the Realm of Darkness (and still looking for Ven), Aqua and Terra were able to have a child.
When the kid hits one year, the group finds a way to return to the Realm of Light, but the entryway only allowed one person to go through. Aqua and Terra send their kid through, but not before Terra gives her his own Wayfinder.
The kid makes her way to the Realm of Light, ending up in Radiant Garden. She is found by The Gullwings, who take her in.
The Wayfinder Trio sink into the darkness, but promised that they will all return to the Realm of Light.

Do you have a top five favourite fics you have written?
This is a tough one, in part because I have written a lot and I can't look at the number on Ao3 and have it feel real. I haven't written that much. Have I? (I have written a ridiculous amount.)
Also I might list six.
Anywho. Here they are, in no particular order.
1.) Hearts in a Void
This is a Kingdom Hearts fic about Ienzo relearning who he is as a person and discovering he's aromantic while he's at it.
It was written in part because I found myself really identifying with him and I wanted to write several aro focused stories for Aro Week that year. I loved the idea of Ienzo and Tron becoming friends. It gave me a chance to sneak in my aro/allo Squall Leonhart headcanon. Also for some reason I decided Ienzo would write poetry, which I'm generally bad at but I actually really like the short little poems I came up with for him. (And then Ienzo totally invented blogging in the KH universe.)
Of all the fics I've written focused on an aspec headcanon, I think this one is definitely my favorite.
2.) Don't You Forget About Me and the associated A Touch of Forgetfulness Series.
Flash fanfic where Cisco gets several years worth of amnesia and learns that he and Hartley not only buried the hatchet but got married since the accelerator incident. Also there a metas, but the Hartley thing is definitely bigger. It's angst with a (somewhat bittersweet) happy ending because even though Cisco doesn't get his memories back, he might and until then he's making new memories and starting to fall in love with Hartley all over again.
I really love this series, and the first fic in particular because it was heart wrenching to write. I think if I had to name my favorite Hartmon fic I've written, it'd be this. Though a close second would be...
3.) The Pied Piper's Army of Rats Series
It's hard to pick just one fic, but the series is one whole story. So it totally counts. :D
Cisco's headaches over time travel (some worse than others) and Hartley's personal growth from his focus on revenge to his focus on protecting Cisco have been fun to write. And they're falling in love with each other as they're both growing into better versions of themselves. Also there's the ever expanding plushie army of rats, of which there will eventually be an amusing pay off.
4.) Nothing (Everything) To Lose
An Ace Attorney fic that goes AU from the ending of Miles being successfully declared not guilty of his father's murder. Phoenix gets shot and there's a lot more blood going on than I usually mention in a fic. But Miles and Maya get some bonding time, Miles realizes he very much wants to keep Phoenix in his life this time, and Gumshoe does a very good job of looking after Miles while he's in shock. (I adore Gumshoe, he wants to be a Columbo type so bad and he just isn't, poor dear.)
I really, really enjoyed getting into Miles' head for this one. And it was a bit of a love letter from me to the Ace Attorney series, which I was first introduced to in college by my roommates. It was a near instant addiction to the ridiculous levels of humor that went into the series, but it was the undying friendship between Phoenix and Miles that really got to me. Phoenix's devotion despite their years apart since childhood. And Miles desperately wanting for Phoenix to be right about him despite being terrified that Phoenix would be proven wrong.
5.) Frame of Mind
Named after an episode of Star Trek: TNG and loosely inspired by the plots of at least two TNG episodes, I had the idea for a character to be trapped in a VR but unable to recognize or escape it without help from the outside for a long time. I shopped around on fandoms before finally settling on the Flash and the Hartmon ship, but the story as an idea was one that I felt I needed to tell for a very, very long time.
I considered Eureka, but by then I was souring on the show and only really still writing fic because a friend I've since lost touch with shared the fandom with me. I also considered Tales of Vesperia, but I didn't feel it worked with the setting. Tales of Xillia 2 might have been a good fit settings wise, but the characters didn't feel right... the Dominator tech from the Arrow-verse Invasion! x-over event ended up being just what I'd been waiting for, though. And while I had a few false starts after that, I really love the final outcome of the fic. It was worth the wait to get the plot matched up to the right setting and characters.
Bonus 6.) (Re)Learning to Breathe
Another Flash fic, this one focused on Iris and Caitlin in season 2 as they get space to grieve for their losses from S1, actually get to know each other, and find love again with each other. It was a request fic that I really enjoyed completing. The pacing felt right and having the ladies slowly fall in love seemed to just write itself.

Gush about some of your favorite ships please
Sorry for the long wait, but I think I might be ready for this now. (and before anybody wonders, of course it is in the middle of the night and I should go to bed now! Cause it’s the best time to gush over your ships!)
Okay lets begin with Spirk - man I was raised being a Trekkie and to be honest I never saw the great appeal of Kirk, cause my fucking younger than 10 year old heart already belonged to that vulcan! And I bailed my eyes out when he died! But after Kirk and the crew did everything to bring him back, I was like: Okay Kirk is a good one, okay! Nobody will ever be able to seperate them, only over my dead body. Back then it was more about the friendship but I’ll be dammned if I didn’t become a Spirk shipper some 10 years later when rewatching it. But why stop there, get Bones into the fun, too! Try to provoke that human side of Spock, trigger some unlogical feelings, try to beat him in 3d chess!
Okay bear with me there are three other Star Trek ships I wanna gush about! I pretty much watched the series in the order they came out, so next was TNG that I saw, and although I loved data to every bit and byte of his android being, I was at a loss for a love interest for him. Okay there is always Geordie I guess or Picard, but TNG never hold a deep appeal for me in that field. So on to DS9. When I saw it as a kid, is was boring shit with all that politics and religion. I was around 18 when I rewatched and then in only the fourth episode I became suddenly aware of how motherfucking much Garak flirted with Julian Bashir! And I fell so deeply in love for their weird dynamic of a young and easily impressible human doctor with a mysterious cardassian spy tailor. I ran around showing scenes with them to people who were not shippers and they agreed, that there was tension. And right there was my first time finding background informations about my ship. It was there! I didn’t just interpret too much! Andrew Robinson, the actor said himself he thought of Elim Garak as an omnisexual character who had a certain interest in Julian. It was absolutely mindblowing to me (also I started to google what omnisexual meant and found about pansexuality, so this is kinda part of finding my own identity, thanks to the closeted representation of a queer alien in sci-fi show from the 90s)
Okay two more and I’m done with Star Trek. But both are from Voyager. Throughout the series I loved the chemistry between Janeway and Chakotay. The slightly forbidden, the pressure, the loneliness of being captain of a ship so far away she probably would never see her husband again. Tragic shit and so perfect set up. And then came Seven of Nine and manged to shake things up. Suddenly I was a multi shipper, because I couldn’t decide if she or Chakotay should be with Kathryn. The one was loving, supporting and the other was awkward, learning new things about finding humanity again. One was frowned upon because of their ranks and the other because Seven was still more borg than human in how she behaved. So pretty cold, while also confused a ton of times and Janeway ALWAYS had the time and nerves to explain it to her. Just like the doctor (who speaking between us is also a solid shipping option for Seven!)
Damn I tricked you by forgetting myself, that I did develop a shipping crush on Q x Picard. Damn have you ever seen those two interacting. The cockiness in the room, the mocking tone, the resistance. Have you seen those scenes you could perfectly take out of context and already have a “morning after sex” scenario?
Good now let’s take a deep breath and come to the Harry Potter fandom. Or in my case Severus Snape’s playground to be shipped to literally everybody! If it had Snape in it, I would read Everything during that time. Snarry was my most favourite, followed by Snape x Lucius, Remus, Sirius. But I also was looking into x Hermione, Draco, Lily, James, McGonagall, Dumbledore, Ron, Neville (Oh what a small and angsty ship), Bellatrix, Voldemort, Narcissa, Tonks, hell I even read one with Hagrid! (Okay I admit I didn’t enjoy that). Snape was my shipping bitch. Beside that I was of course loving Sirius x Remus.
Okay we move a tiny bit backwards in my life timeline, because before I started to excessively ship my ship bitch with everybody that was breathing, I had a rare ship in Final Fantasy (VII to be more precisely). Hojo x Vincent. You know just your ordinary crazy, mentally instable old (as in probably 60 years old) mad scientist having his way with a young agent from a special task force who canonly had a love interest in his wife… yeah. You know the totally normal stuff you ship every day! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I mean I also had the regular Cloud x Sephiroth, Cid x Vincent, Cloud x Tifa, Tifa x Aeris, Reno x Rude or Rufus and so on, but hell yeah I wrote one of my longest fanfictions with most of my OCs for Hojo and Vincent and someone commented on it. That person became my fucking best friend for now over 13 years who went with me through so much shit but is still my shipping partner in crime till now.
Together we discovered the movie Megamind and watched it more than 10 times in one week! We were so instantly on board with Megamind x Roxanne that it nearly hurt. And when we started an rpg, we shipped the fuck out of them, gave Minion a mermaid to love and that was the most perfect and sweet shit. They are just adorable! He’s such a goofball, sick with love only hold back because of his supervillain image.
I also met my second girlfriend via fanfiction comment. I had written a smut one shot about Tarrant Hightopp, the mad Hatter with ‘his’ Alice. That was also the first one I attempted to translate into English. When we met for the first time, we also watched Alice in Wonderland around 10 times together and we were in love with the lovely dynamic. We were frustrated when we found out, there was even a kiss in the script that never made it to the fucking screen! It was outrageous! I started to learn how to write a scottish accent and strew in some scottish words in our rpg to make it more authentic.
(And after that I managed to pull her into the pit of the Harry Potter fandom, hell I even pulled her into the pit of shipping mlm which she didn’t like until Snupin. But our main ship was suddenly Snape with her OC and we wrote a lot. Like between 2-8k word for one single post in our rpg! In the end we had enough to fill two books. We did even cosplay as them.)
Let’s get back to the Final Fantasy fandom a bit and let me gush over the other ships I had over the years. I’m still a huge Squall x Quistis shipper from part 8 and Laguna x Kiros! I also have an eye on Cifer x Fu-Jin (hah one eye, cause she has a an eyepatch, urgh I know that was a bad joke). And while I started as a big Auron x Tidus shipper, it shifted more to Auron x Rikku. I shipped them when I was about 15 (her age) and I thought I wasn’t allowed to do that, so I made a whole fucking AU where she was older and it developed into a totally original story of my own, which I have never ever written down even one page). With X-2 I satisfied myself with Paine x Rikku, they were such cute opposites of each other, I couldn’t resist! Only some years ago I played FF 15 and damn it was a shipping paradise again for me. Like all of the four protagonists are a match for each other! And then Ardyn appeared and made me weak in the knees. So Ardyn x Noctis but also just because those the truly most favorite characters: Ardyn x Ignis. Not exactly the fluffy happy stuff, I can tell you that. Manipulation, angst, abuse it had it all.
I can’t talk about Final Fantasy and leave Kingdom Hearts out, so yeah I started as a typical Sora x Riku (not Rikku from FF 10) fangirl and with part 2 I also feel for Axel x Roxas. I know, I know but at least with Organisation 13 you had a whole bunch of shippable characters. Just make one or two of them your shipping bitch, in my case Xemnas and Xigbar and ship the shit out those guys with everybody you can think of in the organisation.
And when we are already talking about Kingdom Hearts, I just jump into Disney a bit. Like every girls dream was to find their prince, ect and I was like: yeah Mulan and Shan Yu seem to fit nicely… Frollo is a fucking ass creep, but damn that scene in the cathedral when he sniffs Esmeraldas hair… Jasemine you look good in that red slave outfit for Jafar to be honest and dear Adam, you should have stayed a beast for Belle. Happy ruining your childhood. You’re welcome. :D Not that I shiped those during seeing those movies the first time, but you know I rewatch stuff!
Good okay let’s check the watch… good 1 hour later…. I’m not gonna finish this any time soon…. I’m sorry. I just tried to make a list of ships that seem important to me and I would probably write another hour or two. I just hope this satisfies you for the moment ;)

Kingdom Hearts TNG PART 9 - KH3
Seven Hearts / The Ancient War / Prior to Kingdom Hearts 3 Re•Mind
There are seven hearts to save: Aqua, Terra, Ventus, Axel, Xion, and Xatlyn. The seventh heart will be lost soon.
Sora in the Realm of Darkness was able to find Aqua, but Terra and Ventus were nowhere to be found.
With the seven lights finally assembled (Roxas, Sora, Donald, Goofy, Mickey, Aqua and Naminé), the group makes their way to the Ancient Battleground, meeting up with Apprentice Xehanort and the other Seekers of Darkness.
The group is separated in the MAZE OF SUSPENSE.
Sora goes in an area, finding three of the new Organization Members. Ansem; The Seeker of Darkness, Axel, and a younger Xatlyn.
Mickey, Donald, and Goofy go into another area, finding three other members. Xemnas, Saïx, and Dark Riku.
Naminé finds two more. Ansem-Sora and The Ultima Heartless.
Aqua finds three more. Terranort, Ventus-Vanitas, and a cloaked figure wielding Kingdom Key. (More on that last one in a bit.)
Roxas goes through the maze on his own, helping everyone fight off Organization XIII.
Ansem and Xatlyn were from the past (Ansem just after he possessed Riku’s body and Xatlyn after a few years out of the Realm of Darkness and she only responds to the nickname Dewdrop) while Axel was kidnapped and Norted by Xehanort. After defeating Ansem and Xatlyn and knocking some sense into Axel, Roxas carry’s on.
Xemnas, Saïx, and Dark Riku were also from the past. Xemnas from prior to KH2, Saïx during KH2, and Dark Riku from the time Ansem possessed him. They’re gone.
Ansem-Sora was also from the past. The Ultima Heartless was norted Xion. Roxas puts Ansem-Sora in the ground and revives Xion.
After Aqua and Roxas revive Ventus and Terra, the other cloaked figure pulled off her hood. She looked like Xatlyn, but older. Along with the yellow eyes, she also wore black makeup and a silver tiara, the center gem was a heart shaped diamond. Her normal purple hair was brown. Jiminy’s Journal chronicles her as Crimson Lady.
Crimson Lady swiftly captures Roxas, leaving the area through a Dark Corridor.
After that, the game gives us control of Sora. He makes his way to the end of the maze, only to be caught by Crimson Lady, Young Xehanort, and Apprentice Xehanort.
He fights them, defeating Young Xehanort and incapacitating Crimsom Lady, Xehanort reveals his grand plan. He opens up a dark corridor and an unconscious Roxas falls out. Apprentice Xehanort summons his keyblade (No Name) and crystallizes Roxas, shattering him in the process.
After that a fight broke out between Sora and Xehanort, Sora loosing the fight as Xehanort uses the now completed x-blade to summon Kingdom Hearts.
The rest of the guardians, along with the newly revived Axel, Xion, Ventus, and Terra, reunite with Sora and they discuss a plan. Sora, Donald, and Goofy would follow Xehanort into Kingdom Hearts and close it from the inside as everyone else closes it from the outside.
With Sora, Donald, and Goofy teaming up once more, they use Xehanort’s portal to go into Kingdom Hearts.
Inside Kingdom Hearts, it looked like the Destiny Islands, but like how they were when Ansem; Seeker of Darkness pulled them to Darkness. (And at the end of 0.2 Birth by Sleep.)
Xehanort almost had the upper hand, even taking Sora's light during the fight, but Sora was able to defeat him. Using Ventus’ Wayfinder, he was able to connect to Axel through Aqua’s Wayfinder and Crimson Lady through Terra’s Wayfinder. He uses Axel and Crimson Lady’s powers and abilities to defeat Xehanort.
SGD return to the rest of the group (Along with a newly revived Xatlyn (more on that in Re•Mind))
Roxas had vanished prior to Xehanort’s downfall. Sora offers to go look for him.
“I gave Roxas the Keyblade. It’s my fault he got caught up in this mess in the first place.” Sora tells the group. “He’s my responsibility, so it must be me.”
Donald and Goofy had offered to go with him, only to be gently turned down.
Sora brings Roxas back (more on that in Re•Mind) and he spends his last moments with Kairi and Naminé before vanishing.
Everyone immediately goes to search for Sora.
The Wayfinder Trio head to the Realm of Darkness.
Naminé and Xion go with Donald and Goofy to every past world Sora and Roxas had been to.
Axel and Xatlyn search The World That Never Was along with using the old resources at Castle Oblivion to search Xatlyn’s memories for a clue.
Roxas, like Xatlyn, had chosen to go to sleep so that the people at Radiant Garden can search his memories in case his might be the answer they’re looking for.
Kairi dies of a broken heart. (And she ends up in Quadratum. Don’t worry.)

Kingdom Hearts TNG - part 8 (KH3)
With the Organization back and Apprentice X threatening a recreation of the ancient war, Roxas and the others must band together to prevent the inevitable.
With Axel, Xion, and Xatlyn gone, everyone else must train their hardest to defeat Xehanort (still flipping young).
Sora traverses through the dark realm in search of Aqua, Terra, and Ventus. (Who all had been lost for more than 30 years.)
Roxas goes with Donald and Goofy to the various Disney and Pixar worlds to gain the strength to face off against the Real Organization XIII, which all show up in various worlds but completely hooded, not giving a hint to who any of them are.

Kingdom Hearts TNG - Coded
Instead of the first journal, the second journal (that documented Roxas’ journey) is manipulated and the Disney Castle Crew (DCC) need to figure out what’s up.
Re:Coded is my favorite KH game (though a movie at this point).
I’m not going through the entirety of Coded, just some key details that would need to be changed. I just need to get this out before I start on KH3.
Twilight Town is the first world we visit in the datascape. Here, we meet a Data-Roxas. He helps the DCC decipher the message left in the second journal. “Their pain will end, when you amend.” (Not of the censorship. This is real life, bro.)
Data-Sora is the embodiment of the journal. Since Jiminy mostly wrote about Sora as a kid, Data-Sora looks a lot like Sora back when the first journal was written. (Data-Sora in canon, but with the Organization coat.)
It was Xatlyn that out the bugs in the journal and the datascape in the first place. She still had some of Sora’s memories and didn’t like the pain she found in them. She left the message in the journal to let everyone know about the pain that Sora kept inside of himself.
A Data-Xatlyn tells Data-Roxas about what else she had found in Sora’s memories and he lets Mickey know.
Xatlyn also relays that since Ansem; the Seeker of Darkness has been defeated some time ago, that Apprentice Xehanort would return soon if he hadn’t already.
Sora and Roxas in the outside world needed to do everything in their power to save their friends, conquer darkness, and defeat Xehanort.

Kingdom Hearts TNG - vol lll
Naminé’s whereabouts after Roxas leaves the simulation of Twilight Town.
After Roxas leaves Twilight Town, we’re shown a cutscene of Naminé and Ansem.
She knows that DiZ and Ansem are trying to keep her from finding her dad (Sora) and is afraid that her mission will come to an end with a swift death.
Instead, Ansem lets her go. He opens a dark corridor for her, telling her to go back to the islands. She rushes through, meeting up with her mom (Kairi) and Riku on the other side.
She doesn’t tell them where she’s been, just that she got lost.
After Roxas visits a few worlds with Donald and Goofy, we get back to Kairi and Naminé on the main island.
Another dark corridor opens up as they are walking along the beach. A girl around Naminé’s age steps out. (Yes, it’s Xatlyn from my other AU. I just love her and wanted her to be included.)
Xatlyn practically tries to trick the two, telling them that she knows Sora and where he is. Only that second part was a lie.
Before the two considered believing her, Pluto shows up and urges them to another corridor that he came through. They run through that corridor, leaving Xatlyn dissatisfied.
She follows them to Twilight Town. She knocks them out cold with her powers before taking them to The Organization. Pluto follows them.
The three end up in a cage (similar to Kairi in canon). There, Saïx practically taunts Kairi and Naminé, telling them that Sora would be running back to The Organization because they were here.
Yes, I do mean running BACK.

Me: I’m making this new alternate universe to rewrite Kingdom Hearts.
Roxas: So, can I be my own person with little to no connection to Sora?
Me: I’m making you a normal kid fully yourself. I’m also letting Naminé be herself apart from Kairi.
Roxas: That’s nice to hear.
Me: But as long as there’s still breath in my body, you will never know peace.
Sora: So there’s only one me.

Kingdom Hearts TNG - Dream Drop Distance
Instead of traversing through multiple Sleeping Worlds, Roxas and Sora must dive into their friends’ dreams and unlock their keyholes to prepare for the upcoming war against Apprentice X.
Sora dives canonically in this order: Riku, Kairi, Naminé, Axel, Xion, Xatlyn, and Roxas.
Roxas dives canonically in this order: Naminé, Xion, Kairi, Riku, Axel, Xatlyn, and Sora.
Though we don’t traverse through Disney Worlds, each dream is based on a Disney Property, but it’s still that person’s dream.
Kairi’s Dream World is based off Beauty and the Beast. Her keyhole is outside of the balcony from the ballroom.
Riku’s Dream World is based off Sleeping Beauty. His Keyhole is outside of the woodcutters cottage.
Naminé’s Dream is based off Tangled. Her Keyhole is outside of the tower.
Xion’s Dream World is based on Peter Pan. Her Keyhole is in Skull Rock.
Axel’s Dream World is based on Pirates of the Caribbean. His Keyhole is in Port Royal.
Xatlyn’s Dream World is based on It’s a Small World. Her Keyhole is in the finale.
We find out that Apprentice X is back and that he wants Roxas as his 13th vessel and on his side when the recreation of the ancient war arrives.
Sora was able to prevent it, but it was no victory. Sora and Roxas arrive to the real world, only to find out that, Xion, Axel, and Xatlyn had been taken.

Kingdom Hearts TNG - Vol VII
Final Battle - KH2
Sora, Axel, and Xatlyn go deeper into the castle, finding Xemnas in a secluded room.
“What did you do to my daughter?” Sora summons his weapon, clutching it tightly.
“The Ultima Heartless could only be made by the combined DNA from a Princess of Heart and a Seeker of Darkness.” Xemnas explains. “Your daughter holds both inside herself.”
Sora understood the truth of Xemnas’ words and the entirety of his plan. Naminé was in trouble from the start, and all Sora did was push her away.
“Really, I have you to thank for our success.” Xemnas was almost sarcastic.
As three got ready for a fight, Roxas was able to subdue The Ultima Heartless.
The armor shatters and a cloaked figure slumped to the ground. Her hood was down.
She looked a lot like Naminé, but her hair was short and black. Her eyes were also yellow, showing that she was pure darkness.
She looks up at Roxas, tears in her eyes.
“Please, Roxas…” She sounded a lot like Naminé, but Roxas didn’t want to believe it.
She takes a hold of Kingdom Key (still in Roxas’ hand) and points it to herself. “Please, put an end to me.”
He dismisses the keyblade, extending a hand to her. “No, not like this.” She takes his offer, letting him help her stand up. She then runs off, thinking over everything.
Meanwhile, Sora and the others defeated Xemnas. He rushes off, trying to save himself once again.
Kairi and Naminé were able to find another Dark Corridor and everyone rushed in. It closed before Sora and Roxas made it through.
As the two search for another way out, they were cornered by Xemnas, who had already captured The Ultima Heartless.
“I will not allow it to end so easily.” Xemnas’ voice echoes, as if he was one with the walls. “The Ultima Heartless is designed to drag the worlds into darkness, and that’s just what she’ll do.”
As if a switch was turned on, The Ultima Heartless draws her weapons. Xemnas walks off, leaving her do deal with Sora and Roxas.
“Why, Sora?” Roxas asks.
“Why what?” Sora was confused. (As per usual.)
“Why did you choose me? You had the keyblade, the only keyblade. Why did you give it to me?”
Sora takes a minute. “I saw myself in you.”
“Then why did you attack me?”
“I saw too much of myself.”
After that was said, they were thrown into a fight with The Ultima Heartless.
They were able to defeat her, but she disappears again. The two then try to find their way out of the castle.
Due to the extreme lack of members in the organization, the castle started collapsing. Roxas and Sora just barely made it out before all that was left was a pile of rubble where The Castle That Never Was once stood.
Everyone else was outside, waiting for them.
From the rubble, The Ultima Heartless managed to wiggle free. Xemnas showed up once again, harshly grabbing her by the arm.
From what the group could see, her eyes had turned blue.
“I should have known this experiment was a failure.” Xemnas says.
“Leave her alone, Xemnas!” Roxas shouts. “I’m the one who convinced her she could be good!”
Xemnas thinks for a moment before shoving The Ultima Heartless to the ground, knocking the wind out of her.
Roxas immediately rushes to her side.
“If that is true, than you will share her fate.”
Xemnas summons his weapons, aiming one of them at Roxas.
Before he was able to end the two, he was stopped by Axel and Xatlyn. They were using their own weapons to hold him back. Flames start erupting from Axel as purple smoke seeped out from Xatlyn.
“Get them out of here!” Xatlyn shouts to Sora.
Sora listens, helping Roxas and The Ultima Heartless to their feet. Everyone rushes out, but not before an explosion covers the area. A blinding light flashes.
The light has defeated Xemnas and brought Sora back to normal. (Yeah, he looked like Ansem up to this point.)
After making sure Roxas and the others were safe, Sora rushes to Xatlyn and Axel. Both were struggling just to breath.
He rushes to Xatlyn’s side, gently lifting up her head.
Her eyes open. “Is he gone?” Sora softly smiles. “Why did you sacrifice yourself? Both of you?”
“The same reason you saved Riku back then.” Axel responded. “So that you could have a normal life.” “Even if we’re not a part of it.”
Xatlyn’s eyes close, bordering unconsciousness and death. Axel not to far behind her.
Sora gently held Xatlyn in his arms, not wanting to believe she was gone.
“Excuse me, are you a friend of Xatlyn?” Roxas hears behind himself. He turns to see the tiny Gulwings (Yuna, Rikku, and Paine) behind him.
“Yeah, but something happened.” Roxas was almost quiet. “Can you do something…?”
The girls fly over to Xatlyn, Axel, and Sora.
“She used up her power to save you.” Paine says to Sora. “She doesn’t just do that for anyone.”
“Who are you guys?” Sora asks.
“We’re nothing worth mentioning.” Yuna says.
“Yep. Just the three Gullwings who raised Xatlyn before she was in The Organization.” Rikku adds.
“Don’t worry, we’re here to help her out.” Paine says.
After some time, The Gullwings were able to revive both Xatlyn and Axel.
Rikku then handed a keychain to Roxas.
“Here. This is from us.” She says. With a flash of light, each Gullwing disappears.
Roxas attaches the keychain onto Kingdom Key, turning it into the Gullwing keyblade.
With Roxas’ concentration, it opens up a portal out of The World That Never Was. The group ran through, ending up back at Teilight Town.
Sora, Kairi, and Naminé return to the Destiny Islands not long after, Riku waiting for them. The Ultima Heartless joins them, taking on the name Xion.
Axel starts a new life in Radiant Garden, joining Scrooge McDuck as his apprentice making Sea Salt Ice Cream.
Xatlyn returns to Radiant Garden, back to the Gullwings. They all celebrated her return.
Donald and Goofy return to Disney Castle, only for Donald to be teased relentlessly by Daisy.
Roxas returns to the real Twilight Town and reunites with Hayner, Pence, and Olette.
But where did this all start? It all started with birth by sleep…

Kingdom Hearts TNG - Vol VI
Memories Return / The Birth of The Ultima Heartless
The group make it the The Castle That Never Was. Sora leaves to go find Kairi and Naminé while Roxas, Donald, and Goofy take out Saïx, Luxord, and Xigbar.
Naminé had since been trying to find a way out of the castle. She had been let out of the cell a while back. Sora finds Kairi and helps her out of the cell.
Roxas meets up again with Sora and Kairi. They just needed to find Naminé.
While looking for Naminé, the group manages to find Xemnas, who lets them know that the project is almost complete. The worlds will no longer be safe.
Axel then shows up, one of the last four survivors in Organization XIII. He helps them fight against Xemnas.
Xemnas was having the upper hand, until Xatlyn comes in, showing that she had once again captured Naminé. The hood of Xatlyn’s dress was up, covering her face. Xemnas leaves the room, taking this as a sign to save himself.
Out of everyone’s surprise, the Kingdom Key appears in Sora’s hand. Just imagine Ansem with Kingdom Key. It’s a little weird.
He rushes towards Xatlyn, who (very roughly) tosses Naminé to the side before unsheathing her katana (Endless Horizons) from it’s scabbard.
Both Axel and Sora recognize the blade as it collides with Kingdom Key.
“Who are you?”
“Someone from the dark…”
Sora uses all his strength, pushing her back. The force of his strength had knocked off her hood as her katana fell from her grasp. She lands on her bottom, looking up at Sora.
Her purple eyes were darker than normal and the fake flower she kept in her hair looked like it was wilting.
Axel and Sora finally recognized her.
Not long before Sora left The Organization, he had a couple of friends inside the organization. One of them was Axel. The other was a teenage girl with purple hair. That girl was Xatlyn.
Axel acted a lot like Riku and Xatlyn had an aura similar to Kairi. They were the only reasons Sora stuck around in The Organization as long as he did.
While Xatlyn reminded him of Kairi, she was a lot more depressed than anyone else he had met. Constantly questioning her friendship with him and Axel, saying she’s worthless, and worried that Xemnas would turn her into a Heartless and leave her to fend for herself.
Xatlyn’s friendship with Axel and Sora made Xemnas second guess her being in The Organization. He didn’t want to waste all of her potential, though. That’s why he did what he did.
He stripped her of her own memories and anyone else’s memories of her to keep her out of the way. He forced her into the Bounty Hunter business to keep her busy and away from Sora.
All of the memories had returned and the group share a hug, just happy to be together again. No matter the changes, they’re still friends.
The group (Roxas, Sora, Axel, Xatlyn, Donald, and Goofy) discussed a plan. Naminé and Kairi would find a way out as Roxas, Donald, and Goofy search for The Ultima Heartless while Sora, Axel, and Xatlyn would deal with Xemnas.
Before they all went off in their separate ways, Kairi gently takes a hold of Sora’s wrist. He tries to avoid eye contact with her, ashamed of the choices he made that got him here. Ashamed of the monster he has become
“Please, Kairi. You and Naminé have to get out of here.” He keeps his gaze to the floor.
Kairi shakes her head. “I want to help.”
“It’s too dangerous for you, Kai.” Sora says. “I don’t want you getting hurt.”
Xatlyn picks up her katana from the floor, handing it to Kairi. Sora looks at her, puzzled.
“You picked a good one, Sora.” She teases.
Before the team split up, Sora notices a mark on Naminé’s arm. It was similar to the Heartless symbol but a little different. (The Nobody symbol in canon.)
“You have to hurry, Roxas.” Sora says. “It’s almost completed.” With a nod from Roxas, he runs off through a hallway with Donald and Goofy in tow.
Roxas, Donald, and Goofy make it up to The Altar of Naught. The sight that welcomed them was something everyone tried to prevent.
Organization XIII had succeeded. The Ultima Heartless was born.

Kingdom Hearts TNG - Vol V
Roxas vs Ansem; The Seeker of Darkness / Light of The Past / Finding Sora
Roxas and Jack figured out a plan to stop the birth of The Ultima Heartless. Jack also shows the group his entranceway to The World That Never Was. While there, they’re cornered by a group of Shadow Heartless.
A cloaked figure walks into view. He pulls off his hood. It was Ansem, the guy Sora fought all those years ago. He was alive and very clearly still in power.
“If you are the one to face The Organization, you must prove your identity to me.” He tells Roxas.
At this point, Roxas had already gotten Oathkeeper and Oblivion. He dual wields those in this fight.
During the fight, the two realize that they are evenly matched opponents. It wouldn’t be an easy fight for either of them. Ansem was slightly getting the upper hand, but Roxas knocks him back and something falls out from his pocket. It was green and shaped like a star.
Roxas picks it up and he feels a memory. It wasn’t his, but it is one that could help.
“Somewhere out there, there’s this tree with star-shaped fruit. And the fruit represents an unbreakable connection. So, as long as you and your friends carry good luck charms shaped like it, nothing could ever drive you apart. You will always find your way back to each other.”
Roxas holds the Wayfinder in his hand, holding it close to his heart. “If you can hear me, I need your help.”
With a flash of light, Roxas was sent back to the Station of Awakening. He sees a shorter figure in a black coat similar to Ansem. This was his heart.
Roxas dismisses Oathkeeper and Oblivion, Kingdom Key appearing in his hand. He turns it around in his hand, holding is backhandedly.
Roxas defeats the black hood, who was struggling to stand. He pulls off his hood.
Before Roxas was sent to the false Twilight Town, Riku and Sora (in black coats), were on their way out of The World that Never Was. On their way out, they were stopped by Axel.
“So, your mind’s made up?”
“I have a wife and child, Axel. I’ve been away for too long. I need to go back to them.”
“I thought that was right from the start, but it still bothers me. Something about this just stinks.”
Riku and Sora get thrown into a fight with Axel. Axel had the upper hand as Sora and Roxas were struggling to stand.
“Sora, I have to unleash the dark power in my heart. It’s the only way you can go back to them.”
“No, Riku. Let me use it. You’ve been trying all these years to have a normal life. I will not let that be in vain.”
Without Riku giving a word of protest, Sora completely strips him of his darkness, taking it as his own.
Sora was on his knees, struggling to keep the darkness to him. It transforms him, taking the form of a man the two have not seen in over a decade. Ansem; The Seeker of Darkness.
Ansem defeats Axel, who just barely makes it out alive. Ansem turns to Riku.
“I have accepted it.”
Roxas look at the boy, seeing Sora. He looked younger than Roxas, but it was him.
Sora stands up, dismissing his own weapon.
“You make a good other.”
Roxas is then sent out of Sora’s heart, seeing an unconscious Sora on the ground. He was much older. Sora wakes up and gets up from the ground. He still looked like Ansem.
After a touching reunion with Donald and Goofy, Sora accompanies the group to The Castle That Never Was.

Kingdom Hearts TNG - Vol IV
Act One Finale - The Battle of 1000 Heartless
If you haven’t already, you might wanna read volumes 1-3 to understand what’s going on here.
TLDR- Roxas is a normal kid (that wields a Keyblade), this takes place decades after Kingdom Hearts 1, Nobodies don’t exist, Organization XIII make artificial heartless, and Sora is missing.
The trio make there way to Hollow Bastion, where Organization XIII is testing out their new batch of Heartless.
After defeating the Heartless, the three come face to face with Xemnas, the leader of Organization XIII.
He basically gives the group details of his plan to create The Ultima Heartless.
With how many artificial heartless Roxas had taken out with the Keyblade, the Organization used that data to further their goal.
The Ultima Heartless could only be made by the DNA of a Princess of Heart and a Seeker of Darkness. This was a piece of information only known by Moogles, but Organization XIII figured it out.
Unknown to Roxas, they had already got a hold of Kairi (a Princess of Heart).
With fear in their hearts at how close Organization XIII was at creating it, the group leaves Hollow Bastion.
They end up in Halloween Town, crossing paths with Jack Skellington, who has ties to the Bounty Hunter business since his best friend is in the business. Roxas practically vents to Jack, saying that the Organization was close to creating The Ultima Heartless.
Unknown to him, Xatlyn was listening in. Her entire worldview shatters as she leaves Halloween Town.
Jack helps the group come up with a plan to defeat The Organization before that happens.

Xatlyn Post - TNG
For my TNG storyline.
Xatlyn is a bounty hunter for Organization XIII. She was the 14th member, but got too close to Axel and number 13 for Xemnas’ liking. He had her memories wiped and forced her into the bounty hunter business.
She knows of Sora, but doesn’t know where he is.
Although she’s close to Xemnas, she doesn’t know about his plans to create The Ultima Heartless and to plunge the worlds into darkness.
She may not be able to traverse the Dream World like her counterpart, but she does have power over sleep.
Also, she doesn’t have the Power Fusion keyblade, nor wield the weapons of the other members of Organization XIII. She mostly relies on her powers and her agility to the point where she doesn’t use her weapon.
She does wield a katana called Endless Horizon and throwing stars named Dawn and Dusk respectively.
Although she’s a regular enemy for Roxas, she doesn’t have a battle gate in the Garden of Assembly (yes, I’m keeping that). She does however have a Secret Battle. Just talk to her in Halloween Town to get started. She’s a very high level Secret Boss, so you gotta be prepared to take her on. Her battle theme is a KH2 version of Dawn of Hope. Once defeating her, you can equip the Power Fusion Keyblade.
Once you’re confident with her, you can kiss your multi-layered shirts goodbye as you fight the boss that will literally break your spirit. 🤣😭
Keeping to her theme, she’s still best friends with Jack Skellington.

Kingdom Hearts TNG - vol II
Meeting up with Master Yen Sid.
Master Yen Sid summons the trio to the Mysterious Tower. There, he tells them about the new heartless and Organization XIII, their masters.
Organization XIII had created heartless more powerful than the heartless Sora had faced on his journey. They are much more stealthier, stronger, and swifter, despite practically being artificial beings.
Organization XIII are just normal people with powers beyond human comprehension. They aren’t nobodies.
Yen Sid tells Roxas that Organization XIII hopes to create a heartless even more powerful than Ansem; the Seeker of Darkness and Darkside. The Ultima Heartless.
Once that particular heartless is made, all the worlds will be cast into darkness and Kingdom Hearts will turn dark. Sora would have been able to prevent this, had he not passed on the keyblade. Which means, it’s up to Roxas to defeat Organization XIII and stop the creation of The Ultima Heartless.
After receiving new powers from the three fairies, Roxas heads off in the Gummi Ship with Donald and Goofy to investigate more about Organization XIII, Sora and Naminé’s location, and The Ultima Heartless.
