Nothing like playing Kingdom Hearts all out of order but somehow it still works
I played 1 and 2, then BbS, DDD, then the mobile games a little bit (played/watched scenes online) and watched Back Cover/chi, then ReCoded and CoM simultaneously, and BbS 0.2 which I just finished. So now I am back to continuing CoM and Recoded at the same time lolol oh yeah and I need to start 358/2 days
I still feel like 0.2 was so shortttt - I know it was just a playable secret ending just leading up to kh1/CoM but I really enjoyed it - i guess I wasn't ready for it to lead into Kh3 so fast. I have kh3 and MoM as well, but I won't start those until I finish CoM recoded and 358

Noctis Lucis Caelum, what are you doing in Kingdom Hearts? Get back to your own game this instant, stop ruining the lives of these children
But really, I cant be the only person that couldn’t stop picturing Noct as the Master of Masters in Back Cover, right?

I have a feeling that Archimedes the owl will end up being the one to train Lea and Kairi. If Merlin’s teaching abilities in The Sword and the Stone are anything to go on.

After re-watching the movie for the third or fourth time, I started noticing how much emphasis goes onto Ava’s hands. Specifically when her face is downcast and she squeezes them reflexively. It actually happens quite a lot in the movie and the only time she does it when she’s either A) Uncomfortable or B) Inner Conflict with herself. I think it really shows that true that Ava really wants an ideal world where everyone can be friends. In the flashbacks with the Master of Masters, she doesn’t ever fidget unlike here in the present.
I do believe strongly Gula notices this “tell” of hers since he is a perceptive character. It also isn’t too far of a cry to say that he knows Ava misses the Master as well judging from how he tries to go about convincing her to join him. Gula, himself, does miss the Master so he arguably feels more kin with her than the other members which is why he does try to gain her support in bringing back the Master. If anything it could be thought that the comforting scene was Gula trying to say that the discourse going on can be avoided if they call forth Kingdom Hearts, and thereby the Master, hence no more need to look downcast and fidget with her hands on reflex anymore. They could go back to how it was before and after this is when he begins to plead with both of his hands to help him with this. Overall, it speaks for both Ava and Gula as shown in the ending credits.

Anyways, I am starting to ramble so to go back to my original statement, Ava’s personality and thoughts can be summed up through the subtle movements she makes and I think that goes ways for her character. She’s been tasked with raising the Wielders of future to carry on light which is an important role she’s been tasked with and she does worry if she is the right one for this job. Her Master shows no joking and says she will be the only one to do it. It only makes sense why she tenses up during these situations because she just knows, consciously or subconsciously, that the Keyblade War will happen with each coming conflict which is why the only thing she CAN do is trust in her Masters words of a brighter future. She doesn’t want it to happen but it will and she hates it that the world will inevitably fall. Just to reiterate, Ava tenses up because she is closer to losing the joyful world she knows with the people in it, as well as the fact that the closer they get, everything hinges on her.
Sorry if this is poorly worded but these are my thoughts straight out with no filter? What are you thoughts? Pssst there are captions on these images for context.

KH 2.8 prologue TL;DR
Yen-Sid: Sora, you're level one again. Go be not level 1 anymore because you have to fight Xehanort.
Sora: Yea, yea, this is the fourth time in two years.

Reasons why this scene is gold

Ava’s reaction to Chirithy (”It’s so cuutteee!!”) KILL ME NOW I CANNOT HANDLE THIS SWEET CINNAMON ROLL OF A MASTER
Then defends them when Aced said they should be destroyed if they turn dark
Gula’s sass: “You’re scary”
Aced completely taken aback by this
IRA TRYING NOT TO LAUGH BUT YOU SEE HIS SHOULDERS SHAKE HE’S REALLY TRYING BUT CAN’T HELP IT BLESS
Invi tries to be sensible too but inside she’s like AYY LMAO
MoM joining in on Gula’s quality banter
EVERYONE LAUGHING TOGETHER AND ACTING LIKE A BIG HAPPY FAMILY I CAN’T TAKE IT
I’d watch another cinematic on these 7 (including Luxu) on their training and forming an unlikely family together. Make it happen Nomura.

Ok so I've been wanting to say this for a while now but Repliku being the one Namine wants to see the most actually sorta makes sense? And no I don't think it confirms mutual romantic Repli/nami or debunks Rokunami etc.
The thing is, you gotta consider the characters' current statuses here. For example, Roxas is in the same situation as Namine, in that he's with Sora but otherwise safe and will most definitely be brought back. Besides that, given what they said in Kh2, when Sora and Kairi are together, so are Roxas and Namine, so they really haven't been "seperated" for too long per say (or at least are aware of each other being, well, alive).
And if you take into account the time that passes between Kh3's ending and Kh3, you get somewhere between a few weeks to like 3 or so months max.
So at this point, Namine knows that Roxas is safe and that everyone is trying to bring them both back.
Now, take Repliku into consideration.
For all she knows, the dude is... well... Dead.
That alone gives her reason to want to see him so much, just like how I believe, if roxas remembered Xion's death, he'd want to see her the most. Again, this is not necessarily romantic, it's normal.
Now add to that: he's dead due to her.
It's a lot of guilt and uncertainty. She pretty much created him, and she gave him the memories that made him develop strong feelings towards her, all the while she clearly favored Sora to the point of destroying his heart/mind to protect Sora once.
And despite that, despite finding out about who he was and how he came to be, he still put his life on the line for her, and disappeared for her sake.
After all, she was the only person he had ever actually known, even if you ignore the fake memories.
So of course, now that things have settled down and she's not constantly being forced to work for someone, she has time to think. And I think she regrets what happened to him and hopes he's alright, somehow.
She wants the being she created and ruined to finally get closure.
Fact is, regardless of how you look at it, they do share a special bond. Everyone does. Each and every bond in the series is special and not necessarily romantic or mutual. But it's there.
And it needed closure.
They needed closure, so they can move on.

Some "Back Cover" thoughts... *SPOILERS*
**“The traitor is the one who bears the Recusant’s Sigil.” - The Lost Page
So, as far as I know, Xehanort doesn’t exist yet. But with this story anything could happen.
Luxu carries a case with “X Super” engraved onto it, but I wouldn’t count that as “bearing.”
Literally nobody else has an “X” on their clothing or face, but Aced does this thing where he slices in an X-formation with his keyblade and tears a hole in f*cking space for a very brief amount of time. (I don’t think it means anything, but old boy was tripping big time.)
Maybe they’ll explain this in KHUx Season 2?
**Side Note: Gula thinks that by summoning Kingdom Hearts their master will realize something is wrong and come back to help them and that everyone will stop fighting, and that is honestly so heartbreaking. Poor broken baby.
**So the “Eyes of darkness” on certain Keyblades actually do serve a purpose. I wonder if even the ones received towards the end of some of the games (Void Gear, End of Pain, etc) have been fulfilling that purpose as well. Everything that eye sees, becomes written in the Book of Prophecies. But it doesn’t seem like the “Will” of its previous wielders has any effect on the Keyblade’s future disciples.
**And if Luxu has to travel to the future to make sure the Keyblades with Eyes get passed down (because apparently he already has, otherwise there’d BE no Book of Prophecies to speak of), then how can he and Xehanort be using the same Keyblade at the same time? Also, there are 12 Keyblades known to us that bear that Eye...13 if you include Riku’s Soul Eater.
**“May your heart be your guiding key.” Everyone keeps saying this mantra, despite having been given orders to do almost the exact opposite. It almost seems like the Master of Masters knew they would wind up doing what they wanted anyway and triggering the events. I still can’t shake the feeling that he’s lying to them.
So many questions…

okay, so now i’ve watched KH X Back Cover (khxbc?? khbc???? idk yet), and i have Thoughts. be warned, they are ranty ones. not bc i thought it was bad, but bc that Master of Masters pissed me off, so i need to blow off steam and yell at him. also, i don’t have good opinions of eraqus, yen sid, or ansem the wise, and i’m probably gonna be a bit critical of mickey as well, so if y’all can’t stand hearing some character criticism, then don’t read on.
also, spoilers. :)
okay, so i think this movie just officially confirmed for me that, all across the board, the lightside mentors SUCK.
(i mean, yes, mickey is the best of them all, and at least he’s trying to be better, and he even gets things right half the time, and at the very, very goddamn least, he can admit when he’s wrong about something, but he still falls into the trap of being too damn cryptic/stingy with the knowledge/missing the majority of the time, etc, so while he’s definitely the best of them, there’s still a lot to criticize there.)
like, seriously, I JUST CANNOT TRUST THIS MASTER GUY. I CANNOT. HIS MANNERISMS AND WAY OF SPEAKING (NOT TO MENTION THE FACT THAT HE’S MISSING A GODDAMN EYE APPARENTLY) REMIND ME FAR, FAR TOO MUCH OF BRAIGBAR, AND WHILE I LOVE BRAIGBAR, THIS IS DEFINITELY NOT A GOOD ASSOCIATION TO HAVE IF YOU WANT THE CHARACTER TO COME OFF AS TRUSTWORTHY TO ANY DEGREE. and tbh, i think this was done deliberately?? but who knows, really.
also, the way he assigned the foretellers these secret tasks, and kept telling each one that their job was the most important one, it just felt so manipulative, and it guaranteed that the group would be torn apart, and i genuinely hate it. it felt like he was deliberately setting them up to fail, to MAKE SURE that things would unfold badly, and this whole scheme of his was practically rigged to generate distrust, and i fucking hate it. it’s an exercise in futility, and it’s like the same feeling of helpless frustration that i get when i see the Days movie, and AkuRokuShi are being torn apart. but at least in Days, there was no pretending that xemnas was anything but a bad guy.
it just....these lightside mentor figures make me so mad bc they’re supposed to be the good guys, they’re supposed to help the protagonists. they’re not supposed to fucking SABOTAGE THEM INTO FAILING (in this master’s case).
(i’m mad at eraqus and yen sid bc they deliberately sat on critical information and refused to share it until it was too late (YEN. FUCKING. SID. is the worst offender by far), even tho, had they spoken up, then maybe everything wouldn’t have gone to shit. i’m mad at ansem for his abuse of roxas (and others, but mostly roxas), even tho he knew roxas was innocent of the crimes of his former apprentices and had really nothing to do with their feud (so he was just a tool to be used, hahaha fuck you man))
so, yeah. do not trust that guy, not one fucking bit.
also, i’m mad at all the questions this movie raised. XD tbh, the only thing they explain is trollanort’s comment in kh3d about how his keyblade is more special than the others. (i’m pretty damn sure it’s the same one. .....which of course only makes this Master and Luxo look more suspect (especially Luxo, with that ‘x’ naming theme in there) apparently, there’s literally an eyeball on there that’s seeing the future. o.O
also, WHAT IS IN THE BOX?????? THAT IS NOT A FAIR TEASE!!!!!
so, i didn’t hate the movie, i just spent most of it seething about this Master guy, and feeling sorry for all of the foretellers who were getting the snot manipulated out of them. :/
in conclusion, all of the lightside mentor figures suck, but i’m not convinced that this Master is even playing on team light. :////
