Ahhhh I missed seeing you on my dash! How are we feeling for the new episode?

Awwwww!!💙💙🥹 XXD I was just stepping away for a few days!! These past (…woah, eight weeks?!? O_O) have been quite bonkers and I often will have my ups and downs XXDD And it’s tiring maintaining a silly poopy poo blog on the shitsite!!!!! and with the holidays? YIKES!! XXDD Merry shitscram!!!!!

• This episode was a good time!! Despite no Rick, I maintained my composure anyway and had a lot of fun with these super silly number and letter characters XXDD • It’s such a simple and hack concept but it somehow stayed enjoyable to me because of these little puns, the twist of the S from an 8 to an ♾️ villian XXXDDD • And like all these sprinkles in here and there of adorable Morty moments, seeing those flashbacks which included the President as the Governor instead (LMAOO!! XXDDD), and especially Goldenfold.

• Why do I fucking love him so much? HAHA XXDD I’m happy he got screentime! He is so fucking weirdly charming and has so many randomly cute moments FHFHZH. BEEP BOOP BEEP BOOP- • DID YOU SEE WHEN (governor)CURTIS TOOK THE BABY POTATOES BACK FROM HIS PLATE. FHFHFBB I love the stupid absurdity XXDD

• As like, as “hack” as this episode was— (Kinda felt like the writers wanted to have a fun break, though I’d say it was verryyy well deserved of them XD and feel childish for an episodeXXD) • —I AM JUST SO ATTACHED TO THIS SHOW THAT IT HAD JUST ENOUGH ALREADY THERE TO KEEP ME GLUED A LITTLE BIT I’D SAY XXDD

• It had me appreciating Ice T/Water T/King Magma T even more than I already did XXDD And Harmon did such a great job with his voice, holy hell?! XXDD And damn, I like how they fleshed out Sinister (or is it Sinistar?? idk XDD) 7 plus her and his relationship, it was pretty entertaining for me. • And this is coming from who doesn’t watch many movies or action media in the first place XDD So even though I understand the tropes, this was still like. Finally allowing myself to have a bit of ‘cheesy movie’ fun, except wrapped up in the “Rick and Morty hyperfixation cheese slice” or peanut butterXXDDD That’s the easiest way you can get me to eat the fun pill XXXDDHAHAHA

• I loved the ending so soososo much!! (I don’t mean the post credits scene, I mean the ending XDD) • I SMILED SOOOO HARD AT IT IF IT WENT FOR ANY LONGER MY FACE’D HURT XXDD

• Goldenfold got his homework!!! XX,DDDD!!!!! • And Morty was SO HAPPY!!! I’m so glad to see him just having mostly fun and feeling good for a whole episode!! he was feeling hismeld today HE WAS SO CONFIDENT. THE HANDS ON HIS HIPS WHEN TALKING ABOUT THE 1/i THING. SO CUUTE. RICK WASN’T THERE TO STAMP HIS IDEAS OR INSIGHTS DOWN ON THE FLOOR XXDDDD • (Ik rick has gotten better with this but seriously morty seemed so much happier when Goldenfold was the ‘rick’ for the day since he didn’t particularly bring him down the whole time XD) POOR BOY I FELT SO BAD WHEN HE SCREAMED ON THE CRASHING SHIP ALSO XXDD HIS FACE THERE XXDDD

• AND BROH LOL THE POST CREDITS WITH ICE CUBE HAHA XXD I would honestly welcome another one of these episodes a few seasons down the line like! It was just kinda sweet. I liked it!!! :DDD No frowns from me tonight! XDD X)))

Namármost. Idén ez lesz az egyetlen listám, ugyanis márciusban történt két dolog, ami meghatározta zeneileg az évemet, és nem álltam fel belőle. Egyrészt a Panda Bear & Sonic Boom koncert a Magyar Zene Házában eszméletlenül beütött, utána beszélgettem 10 percet Noah-val, ami szintén baromi jó volt. Imádom a lemezt, de élőben sokkal-sokkal jobb volt az egész, eszméletlenül örülök, hogy ilyen előadókra is ki lehet menni Budapesten koncertre (felkészül: Godspeed You! Black Emperor). Másrészt elkezdtem hallgatni Andrew Hickey: History of Rock Music in 500 Songs podcastjét, ami a Reset-hez hasonlóan az 50-es évektől indul. Ez a két esemény egy eszméletlen pre-Beatles vonatra ültetett fel. Már régóta keresem, hogy mi fog kivinni a klasszik-indie "szomorú fehér férfiak emo számokat énekelnek" világból, az elmúlt években a teljesség igénye nélkül többet próbálkoztam klasszikus zenével, black metallal, post-rockkal, hip-hoppal stb., de valahogy azt a major key életigenlő esztétikát, amit az 50-es évek pedofil, asszonyverő, stb. előadói hoznak, eddig egyiknél sem éreztem.

Tehát egyrészt egy csomó koncerten voltam úgy, hogy igazából azt szerettem volna, ha Michael Gira a The Wild One-t dolgozza fel inkább Johnny O'Keefe-től, minthogy 30 perces 3 slide gitáros értelmetlen zúzást toljon (de sajnos nem értett egyet). De összességében is egy csomó koncerten voltam, viszont új lemezeket egy-két kivétellel érdemben nem hallgattam. Tehát ez a lista a lista (az eleje felé már legerősebb számokkal).

Fighter #05 - Yoshi

- Both male and female Yoshis have the ability to lay eggs. Some of the newer fighters weren’t aware of this for a while, so they just kept assuming that Yoshi was a girl.

- For some reason, Yoshi can’t say his signature “bring ha” without somebody laughing. Every time he tries to figure out why, they just brush it off and change the subject. I guess they just refuse to show him the video.

- Yoshi is not a picky eater. In fact, eggs are the only thing he doesn’t like. Whenever the fighters order takeout, he always gives a stink eye to the egg rolls.

- He has a stomach of steel, so no matter what ends up in his belly, he'll always be fine.

- Despite having short arms, he has one hell of a throw. He's known around the mansion for being the king of javelin competitions.

- He's actually famous among his kind, and also considered super attractive. The Yoshis that he summons during his Final Smash are actually just a horde of his fans.

- He's taken on the role of being everybody's personal hype man. He'll cheer people on whether they're battling their hearts out or folding laundry.

- He and Duck Hunt like chasing each other's tails. He knows that his tail is just another part of him, but it's still fun to chase.

- Yoshi is horrible at dancing. He's capable of doing only one dance move and it's just moving around in a circle.

- During the summer, Yoshi runs a snow cone stand to raise funds for the mansion (yes, he knows how to operate a snow cone machine, don't underestimate a Yoshi).

- He'll take every opportunity he can to put lost bugs outside. If he accidentally smushes it, he'll get very sad and start crying. Once, he killed a fly by accident and wouldn't stop crying for twenty minutes.

- He'll give rides to anyone and everyone (yes, even Sephiroth and Kazuya). Wario saw this as a money-making opportunity and forced fighters to cough up ten bucks for a lap around the mansion.

- Yoshi enjoys the little things in life. He doesn't need much to make himself happy.

- Sometimes, he just enjoys sitting outside and looking up at the clouds. He and Kirby will point out which ones look like flowers, animals, other fighters, etc.

- Sponge cake is his favorite. Don't ask him why, he doesn't know either.

- Duck Hunt, Mario, and Kirby are his three closest friends. He loves showing them dinosaur memes.

- For Yoshi's birthday, the fighters took a trip to a dinosaur theme park and the four of them got lost. They forgot to take a map on their way in and just started running around all over the place. They were taking pictures with a T-Rex statue when they realized they lost the other fighters. Mario took responsibility and adopted a leadership role. Keeping their eyes peeled, the group traveled through the insanely large park in search of the others. There was a giant volcano in the heart of the place, so they climbed up to the top to get a bird's eye view. Unfortunately for them, they didn't realize they were in line for the Magma Coaster, so they were unwillingly shoved onto the ride. Let's just say Mario's spaghetti and meatballs didn't stay in his stomach after that one.

- After the horrifying ride, they stumbled across the koopalings, who'd purposely separated themselves from the rest of the fighters. Somehow, their encounter led to a soccer match using Lemmy's bouncy ball. They got halfway through the game before Kirby got hungry and swallowed the ball. The koopalings got really angry at him, then Yoshi also got angry at him because he was hungry too, and then Lemmy started crying because that was his favorite ball. Poor Mario tried to stop all this chaos while the Duck Hunt duo just sat there in disbelief.

- Thankfully, the rest of the fighters were finally able to find them. Bowser was worried sick about his kids and scolded them for running away, then got poor Lemmy some ice cream to make him feel better. Samus put her hands on her hips and shook her head in disbelief. "Why didn't you just use Duck Hunt to track us down?" As soon as she finished that sentence, Mario wanted to kick himself for not having thought of that before.

- Overall, the trip was very chaotic, but Yoshi still loved every second of it.

- When Yoshi can't sleep at night, he'll go outside and feed the raccoons. There's a particularly spunky one that he named Rocket.

- He gets dizzy easily, so dancing is tough for him.

- He and Pac-Man will sometimes trade fruit with each other. Yoshi will give over his pineapples and bananas in exchange for some of Pac-Man's cherries.

- Yoshi loves the outdoors. Spring and summer days are always spent outside.

- He really loves fish! His favorites are yellowtail and snapper.

- Yoshi has the biggest sweet tooth. Chocolates, gummies, puddings, pastries, he loves them all.

- Yoshi and Kirby love making sweets together. They love making snow cones and cotton candy the most, but they're always up to try new things.

- Bayonetta gave him an orchid plant for his birthday and he treasures it. It still stands tall on his windowsill, which surprised everyone because they thought he would've eaten it by now.

- Knit him a sweater and he'll love you for life.

- Despite what some might think, he'surprisingly good at basketball. When deciding on teams, he's always picked first. What he lacks in height, he makes up for in accuracy. No one in the mansion has ever seen him miss a basket.

- He always begs to put the star on top of the Christmas tree. Kirby helps boost him up so he can reach.

- Yoshi and Kirby are honestly the most wholesome duo in the mansion.

- He used to be Mario's taste tester, but ended up eating all the food on multiple occasions.

- Shulk tried to make scrambled eggs for breakfast once, but Yoshi tackled him to the ground. Everyone has since learned never to cook fresh eggs with Yoshi around.

- He has tons of pen pals. Although he can't speak English, he can write it perfectly, right down to the punctuation mark.

- His favorite song from the Smash soundtrack is Yoshi's Story from Melee. It gives him nice vacation vibes.

I know I'm probably a weirdo for this, but one day I got to thinking, what if Pokemon was lingually accurate? Like, if characters were named appropriately based on their region? So I actually went through Bulbapedia and compiled a list of every major character's names in other languages. And just in case anyone else was curious, I thought I'd share it.

Chapter 10: Butler's Trial

He thought about Ilse on the floor again, seeing her grandmother for the brief few moments she had been gone. There would be no grandmother for him. He doubted there was even a place where his mother’s soul resided. Did demons have souls? Where did you go when you came from Hell already?

Not to mention the pain. The blood. Ilse had not looked comfortable, and the way he would be given would be only pain.

Still, the little voice in his head said. Better this than whatever aims to erase you.

If he had just never agreed to give the fae royals children, if he had never gone to the fae court in the first place, none of this would have happened.

His mind balked. He would still be in Hell, sliding from cave to cave in the Teeth and scrounging for whatever food the volcanic soils brought him. Parsley season always started well, but then when parsley was one of the only foods in your region, it got boring, fast and did not satisfy your hunger. Parsley had very little substance. The rice crops were guarded, and he had never wanted to be on the bad side of whatever stronger demon had laid claim to the lands he had pilfered from. That, and the rock demons, all strong as the boulders they were made of, or the lava demons there, who burned so bright. All so much stronger than he was.

He scowled. Perhaps if he had chosen a better place to live than the fae court, then. He almost wished he had gone to the Demon City first. He would have sidestepped this entire mess.

How was he to have known that the Canis were a better bet than the fae? The stories of them had been worse. Powerful beings flung by their whims, said to have turned members of the devil’s own family into grotesques and fancies. People who died for their whims. People with the power of the gods who died fast and loose despite their lengthened life spans! 

Knowing this didn’t help Butler. He had chosen wrong.

Ahead the path to the city opened through a round, wide hole onto the forest itself. The pine trees and the dappled light, the smell of the ocean in the air. Butler had to admit he had missed it. He breathed it in. Took the smell of the loam and the moss and the pines into his chest to quiet his worried heart. The forest was his favorite place to live, by far, so far. The part of Hell he had lived in had been fire, and magma, and jagged rocky peaks. The Demon City was a busy city, and sure it was full of flowers and had its cute little parks- but the forest. It was full of life, and sunlight. So much so that at first it had hurt his eyes. 

Walking towards their parade of guards and royals came the bright glowing lights of the fae. It looked like it wasn’t going to just be the fae king and queen, but an audience. Butler’s lips drew back, his love of the forest instantly soured and the nervous flutter of his heart back. He had almost forgotten about the fae citizens and how much he hated them. He could see them now, purple lights, a green light here and there, popping up through the trees like a light show. And at the head, the glowing gold and blue of the King Mifispectuss and Queen Liita. 

If it all went to shit, he would die before them.

Queen Aikaterine and Prince Yuki Canis stopped in the doorway to their world, flanked at their side by two skeletal guards. Butler slowed with his guards behind them, in clear view. 

“Hail and well met, King and Queen of the fae,” Queen Aikaterine called.

“Hail and well met, Queen Aikaterine Canis,” Queen Liita answered, stepping through the dappled sunlight to stand before them. She was so much shorter, almost delicate looking compared to the Canis queen.

Thanatos only shakes his head. “I’m sure he’s off being run over by a chariot somewhere. He’ll be back soon enough.”

“Of course he will!” Dusa says brightly, though Lord Hades’s brow furrows.

He goes once to find Zagreus in Asphodel. He’d thought he’d felt him there, the faint, hot pull of his nature, but he’d arrived to an empty field of rock and magma. A few shades hover at the lava’s edge around some small, swimming shadow, uninterested at his appearance. No bloodless, though, no dracons; he must have just missed him. Not the first time he’s been too late to help. Ah, well.

Zagreus will find him if he needs him. Thanatos knows that, if nothing else.

OPM Manga Chapter 115 Review: Sacrifice

This chapter review is brought to you by Nina Simone’s song Sinnerman. Also a good cup of tea.  Yup, it’s another long one.

Story: Read the Small Print

Oh, sinnerman, where you gonna run to? Sinnerman where you gonna run to? Where you gonna run to? All on that day

Looks like Murata isn’t too dissatisfied with Tatsumaki fighting with Gyoro-Gyoro as the end of chapter 107 leads seamlessly into the beginning of this one (yes, 107 is likely to become chapter 114 in Volume 24).   Orochi wastes no time trying to kill Saitama, only to find his horns and wyrms splattered by an increasingly irritated hero.  Clinching Orochi’s sense that this is no regular hero,  he watches as Overgrown Rover comes round only to spot Saitama and take fright.

You can call Orochi a lot of things, but ‘stupid’ isn’t one of them.  After a moment’s reflection, a lot of things that had been puzzling him for a while fall into place: the ‘ghost town horror’ (hey remember chapter 20?), the unexpected deaths of Elder Centipede and Gouketsu... it all had to be this guy complaining about the noise under his residence.   Such a strong pressure emanating from him...

...finally the sacrifice Orochi had been looking for all this time to grow stronger.  With a grin that would scare a shark, Orochi invites Saitama to come have a ‘private conversation’ with him and the two of the drop far, far down, far below the deepest levels of the Subterranean city itself to a place long-since abandoned.

Probably on account of being flooded with magma.  That’s a good reason to abandon a shrine.  Orochi starts to explain how he’d become a monster and grown stronger via sacrifices offered to him.  We’ve seen those experiments -- Garou’s been a recent recipient of them, what with being made to fight until more dead than alive, allowed to revive, rinse and repeat.   How he’d gotten dissatisfied with the quality of the sacrifices (which does add weight to his first words to Saitama being ‘you don’t seem like the usual trash’) and gone hunting for a better source of energy, only to come across the shrine that appeared to be made for him.

Nope.  Saitama has decided to give the magma bath thing a try.  Since physics does whatever Saitama decides he wants to do, it’s just so much funny-coloured hot water to him.  Very refreshing and just what he needed after getting so dirty walking around, punching monsters and being swept up in flood waters etc.

Well, a burnt sacrifice will do just fine, no?  So Orochi demonstrates why he’s the Monster King.  With a stab of his tail, he summons a plume of molten rock from deep within the planet, not caring about the devastation it has to be causing in the inhabited world and charges up  a most terrifying beam.

Which Saitama promptly extinguishes by squirting magma from between his hands hard enough to quench it.  H-How?  It’s Saitama.  Physics is exactly what he wants it to be.  Orochi isn’t given much time to wonder about it as Saitama springs up and punches him for being so rude as to splash water at him in the bath.

Monster suitably chastened, Saitama leaves, satisfied both that he’s made his point and has had a nice bath.  He feels a lot better.  Which is probably why he doesn’t bother to finish Orochi off.

A broken Orochi hauls himself out and drags himself up to his beloved altar, noticing that more of the mural appears to be exposed as the earthquake he started jolts more of the rock loose.  He appears to pass out before the full mural is revealed and the awful truth is fully known.

Oh God oh God.  Let’s start with the end shall we?  Webcomic readers have known that ‘God’ is a thing that can grant or take away powers.  Manga readers have been eating well with finding out just how much more ‘God’ can meddle in the affairs of men, dropping in a few powers here, a few powers there, answering on his hotline black boxes and all apparently intended to bring ruin to human beings.

Now the story adds another piece to the puzzle by explaining what the altar is here for: as a means of bringing ‘God’ *back* to the face of the Earth.  Chilling.  Just as chilling is the precision with which the prophecy has been made and a bowl left in just the right place to catch Orochi’s blood, complete with centipede motif --  a nice nod to the giant centipede monsters that must be huge heraldic creatures for the Subterraneans.

It’s a bit mind-bending that this world is one where there are non-human beings so sapient that they too have their deities and organised religion.  What were they praying for? Why would the Subterraneans want ‘God’ back, anyway? Maybe it’s to punish mankind for its hubris -- goodness knows that humans haven’t endeared themselves to the living planet and its denizens.  We will surely see.

Thinking about Saitama, the big thing the rewrites have been doing is to put his perspective firmly into the story.   Sure, there’s a world-threatening organization of monsters doing increasingly desperate battle with the heroes assembled to stop them, all while Garou develops into his own brand of perfectly atrocious trouble, but what does the one punch man make of it?  So far, Saitama has been having quite an interesting day, albeit one with too much walking, too many weirdos and no one owning up to having made too much noise in the morning.

This chapter in particular, I realised why its structure was so familiar.  Saitama failing to recognise the monster threatening him as a threat and only being annoyed at having his bathtime rudely interrupted is OAV 2 ‘The Pupil Who Is An Extremely Poor Talker’ on a much bigger scale.  They share story beats so well: The complete failure of either Genos or Saitama to clock gangsters or monster as a threat, even when they’re trying to to kill them. The irrevence: the gangsters talking of taking over the neighbourhood only to find Genos preoccupied with limited-time deals, and likewise Orochi trying to explain his predestination only to find Saitama asking for soap. And even the punishment: Genos burns them and leaves them with a warehouse burning down around their ears for lying to him about returning Saitama’s keys and Saitama tears Orochi a new hole for being rude.  In both, we see someone who sees themselves as a big shot running into a being who is so much more powerful than they are that they barely register to that being as an annoyance.   The first time as comedy, this time as terror.

I knew I also recognised this facial expression: the expression of a being recalibrating its understanding of reality faced with the impossibility of Saitama. I went looking for Boros’s face, but unfortunately his expression was anime-only.

Anyway, back to Saitama.  His treatment of Orochi starts to fit a pattern of behaviour for him.  He’s very much like an old-fashioned guy: capable of being compassionate, but very big on respecting and being respected.  And not afraid to apply the rod (or fist in his case) when he feels that someone is egregiously overstepping their boundaries. All he wanted today was someone to say sorry for disturbing his mid-morning manga reading.  Lucky for Orochi that Saitama doesn’t see him as a monster but as a badly-behaved being.

I have liked that we’ve gotten to learn more about Orochi and his own ambitions in becoming first the Monster King and then aiming to rule the entire world as a god.  It’s been good to see that Psykos isn’t the only person who can scheme.  And hoo hoo, it’s fantastic to appreciate how crazy strong Orochi is. No need to wonder why the other monsters so obediently fell in line!

As we leave Orochi’s crumpled form neatly in front of the altar as a prophetic offering to ‘God’ he does look pretty dead. That doesn’t look too lucky.  However, we recently had demonstrated to us that surviving and overcoming situations that ought to kill one is the key to gaining explosive new power.  And there is such a thing as a living sacrifice as well. 

The world better fear Orochi when he comes back.

Which brings me to mind why I’ve been quoting Sinnerman all these paragraphs.  The original run of chapters had a pretty cataclysmic outcome when the Psykos-Orochi fusion burst forth into the light and started shaving the planet like it was a rocky apple.  The catastrophic earthquakes and resulting tsunamis (only partially turned over a limited part of coastline by Tatsumaki) meant so sorry for you if you couldn’t get out in the open and run to higher ground.   But now, now... we’re starting with the ground being flapped like a bedsheet and a volcanic eruption.  Inside or outside, higher ground or lower, there is *nowhere* to hide.  If you’re in City Z, you’re going to die today.

Sunda Strait tsunami, 2018

@astrologyduck requested I do a reading on this so here we go! It's a long one, and the charts are really clear and concise. The story itself is devastating, so keep that in mind.

Trigger warnings: Mass death, death, losing loved ones, tsunamis, drowning (not mentioned, but a theme of course).

On December 22, 2018, large parts of the Southwestern wall of the volcano Anak Krakatoa collapsed into its caldera. This caused giant amounts of lava, magma and other sediment to fall into the ocean. This caused a deadly tsunami with waves higher than 5m at land. The tsunami affected more than 186 miles of coastline in Sumatra and Java. This event was not predicted, and as it happened during the holiday season many people were out partying.

One such occasion happened at Jantung Lesang Beach, Pandeglang, Indonesia. Here on the beach, popular pop-rock band Seventeen was performing. The waves struck the performance suddenly from behind and broke the stage the members were standing on before striking the crowd, 3/4 band members died in the waves. In addition, the only remaining member's wife also died after being missing for 3 days following the tsunami and being found around Christmas along with the missing drummer and a crew member. The tsunami killed 437 people, injured 14,059 and displaced around 17,000 people in total.

The tsunami began to hit land:

When the tsunami hit land, there was a full moon in the sign of Gemini at 29°. Due to the full moon the gravitational pulling of the tides was very strong, the tides were quick and unpredicted which fits this apex degree of Gemini. The moon is in the 11th house of masses, about to enter the 10th house of career, mothers, kings, etc.

The ascendant is in Leo, possibly hinting towards the volcanic eruption. The sun has just entered Capricorn and is in the 5th house of fun and festivals, very much fitting with the holiday season going on.

This chart very much seems to pull my attention towards Neptune, Mars and Uranus.

Uranus just left Taurus (because it's retrograde) and is now in a critical degree (29°) of Aries, about to enter the 8th house of death. In my head this shows the collapse of the volcano. The wall (Taurus) of the volcano collapsed suddenly (Uranus) causing lava to come out (Aries) and this lava would eventually have a deadly effect (8th house).

While this tsunami happened due to a ripple effect, this is also possible to see in the chart.

Because after we just had Uranus, now we see Neptune, Lord of water, is in the 7th house of people and just left the 8th house of death. It shows Neptune as the perpetrator. This gets even more nuanced, as Neptune is seperating from Mars, natural ruler of fire, by conjunction. It puts 'fire' and 'water' together, and then seperates them. The lava ended up in the ocean, and these waves killed people destructively. It's very befitting of these two planets, not to mention Mars is in the 8th house and about to enter the 7th house.

This sequence in the chart happens one after the other:

Uranus: volcano collapses

Mars: lava streams out (and into the ocean)

Neptune: tsunami

Neptune is also very aspected and the focus point of a T-square between the moon, the sun and Neptune. The sun is the main significator, showing the people in festive moods in the 5th house. It's opposite the full moon—the unpredictable ocean at its strongest, and to top it off, they both square Neptune, Lord of water. In this T-square, the energies are pointed towards Neptune, showing Neptune as 'the outcome'. Neptune is aspecting all the planets in the 5th house.

There's also an easy opposition between the sun, the moon, and Uranus. Once more showing the outcome to be a quick and unpredicted event of the nature of Uranus, Neptune and Mars (as per the simultaneous T-square influence).

Pluto, who often has a role in these charts, is also in the 5th house and square Uranus (sudden events) and sextile Mars (destruction). Mars rules the 4th house of the end of the matter, and is situated in the 8th house of death. The 8th house is in Pisces, ruled by Neptune in the 8th and Jupiter is in the 4th house of the end of the matter. They form a 'circle of reason' so to say. Tsunami comes and kills people, that's the end of the matter. Venus is also in its detriment in Scorpio (another water sign) in the 3rd house, forming sextiles to Mars and Neptune and sextiles to Saturn and Pluto.

The chart is also beginning to form an envelope pattern, showing what should be the situation resolving; but this aspect later falters away and instead moves towards a kite.

Tsunami hits land where Seventeen were performing:

Let's discuss what changed by the time the tsunami hit land during the Seventeen performance:

The kite is starting to form. The kite tends to show more stability and solutions to the issue (opposition). At the time the tsunami hit them, the ascendant had formed two new quincunxes to Mars and Pluto. I take this as showing the confusion of the people during the time, but also as the disastrous destruction that took place. It shows both Mars and Pluto overtook the ascendant, in this case the people. This destructive force was something that couldn't be fought or escaped. Due to these quincunxes, another pattern has formed: the yod, because Pluto and Mars are also sextile. The yod is known as the finger/hand of God, and the finger/hand of fate. The ease between Pluto and Mars, this destructive water, will doom the ascendant (people).

A grand water trine has also formed between the ascendant, sun and Uranus. once more showing the power of the ocean at this time. Uranus has officially entered the 8th house—the 'intense and abrupt event' has arrived. Mars has also officially entered the 7th house, to put it bluntly, it's like 'death has arrived to the people'.

A yod is also starting to form between Venus, the sun, and the MC. Venus also shows musicians but is in that detrimental position in Scorpio in the moving 3rd house, and if we take the band as the sun, this could be seen as water coming towards the people during something creative and occupational (a concert).

Approximate time the tsunami ended:

Keep in mind people were still drowning and trying to fight their way out of the ocean at this point, this time is only when the major waves had passed.

At this point, the yod between the ascendant, Mars and Pluto, has faltered. This is because the only quincunx still active is the one between Mars and the ascendant.

The kite has completely formed, giving more stability, the tides are slowing due to these stabilizing aspects helping the sun-moon opposition.

The aspects between Pluto, Mars and the MC, have also stopped bullying each other by this point, but Jupiter and Mercury are now opposite the MC. This probably shows the helping forces (Jupiter as benefic) trying to save people, but failing to get close yet.

There is a new sextile between the sun and the ascendant, people are fighting for their lives (sun is vitality). And the other part of the kite, the ASC sextile moon, shows why as well.

In fact, the kite perfectly shows the events that took place. The grand trine is still present, so the sea is still strong. But this kite is a factor that stabilises the situation and also helps with the struggle of that T-square that's still present.

Bass guitarist's sunrise chart:

He was pretty much immediately confirmed to have died. I don't know his birthtime, so I instead opted for a sunrise chart.

He has his sun in Pisces, and Jupiter in Scorpio. He is not water dominant, more air dominant. The ascendant is in Pisces as this is a sunrise chart, so instead of focusing on the houses I will focus mostly on the signs of the planets and a bit on the aspects between them.

Interestingly, he has a yod including the MC, Mars and Saturn. Albeit with Chiron involved. The yod has Mars and Saturn, both of the malefics in it. As per the sunrise chart they are coincidentally also in the 8th house of death. Even so, these malefic planets are interesting in contact with his career (MC) and then pointing to Chiron (pain) as the 'solution'. Especially because Mars is in its detriment and Saturn is exalted, and they're conjunct. It has some similartities with the tsunami chart, and I'd also like to point out his north node is in Cancer and is aspecting that entire stellium around the 8th house by square.

Guitarist sunrise chart:

Again, pretty much the same yod we saw before. The guitarist was also a Pisces, but more fire dominant. The true node plays a big role again.

Drummer's sunrise chart:

The drummer was found dead a couple days later, around Christmas.

His chart is pretty different from the rest, and he has 3 yods going on, forming a pentacle. First we have a yod between Pluto and Neptune, with Chiron as solution. Then a yod between the MC and the moon, with Saturn/Pluto as solution. And then a final yod between Venus and the MC, with Neptune as solution. Yup. Malefics (Mars, Pluto, Saturn) and water (Neptune) in close contact with personal planets (moon) and angles. Plus Chiron, because of course. I'm just looking for these types of patterns and not doing full readings of course, because I also see he was a very creative person who really loved what he did. He was also the only Leo in the group, the rest were Pisces.

Vocalist's wife's sunrise chart:

Let's see.. Sagittarius stellium.. Pluto in Scorpio, Mars retrograde and in its fall in Cancer. There's a rectangle shape forming in the middle, though it's similar to a warrior shape. Her Neptune and Uranus are conjunct, opting for sudden events related to water. That Mars seems to catch my eye the most because its so poorly placed (retrograde, detriment) and per sunrise chart in her 7th house of partnerships. It's also sextile Pluto and opposite both Uranus and Neptune. Similar to the forces of the tsunami coming from Uranus and being strengthened by Pluto and Mars, coming to Neptune!

Vocalist's sunrise chart:

He was the only surviving member.

He has an easy opposition between Neptune and his true node, automatically letting me know this was somehow karmic or 'fate'. The opposition is eased by Saturn and Pluto, and in the sunrise chart they fall in his 8th house of death. This fits, as he was almost dead. He is a Pisces sun, and his whole stellium (sun, moon, Mars and even Mercury and Venus) are all aspecting Neptune (water), the MC (career) and Uranus (sudden events).

He has the stabilizing factors of the rectangle present in his chart, only missing a sextile between Venus and the north node. I very much believe this and the factors of the easy opposition 'saved' him. Again, it was very much a destined event in his life.. idk what to make of that, but that's what I'm seeing.

In the Spadesverse universe, there are four kingdoms. Every kingdom represents an aspect of what keeps the world going and humanity’s connection to it. They all have their individual roles to fulfil- Protectors for every one of this world's fundamental mechanisms, thus each nation is known to oversee a certain aspect of this world’s magic. The ability to control these ‘types’ of magic depends on how dangerous the magic is, some can be used by everyone, whilst others are trusted to the Monarchs alone. It is the duty of each monarchy to work together to bring balance, peace, and prosperity.

The four kingdoms are Diamonds, Hearts, Clubs, and Spades.

Diamonds

Magic

Diamonds’ connection is with nature. Their magic lies within controlling the elements; Earth, fire, water, and air. These are of course umbrella terms, water can extend to ice and other liquids, earth can also refer to plant life, etc. Elemental magic is the easiest to master as people are surrounded by nature, though it comes most naturally to citizens born in Diamonds or anyone who has ancestry from said nation, but it is not limited to just Diamonds alone. It can be wielded by anyone without connections to Diamonds who has a basic knowledge of magic or anyone in tune with nature. However, there have been cases where people have been able to resort to elemental magic without having studied any sort of magic before, usually under pressure, in distressing situations, situations that have activated one’s natural ‘fight or flight’, or under intense emotional responses stemming anywhere from joy, grief, rage, etc.

It should be noted, however, that the Diamonds Monarchy wields it the strongest. Diamonds Royals can complete elemental feats that even Masters (A title earned through training in the magical arts and mastering advanced types of magic) deem unimaginable, such as bending significantly more difficult elements like magma, or singlehandedly stopping entire natural disasters which would usually take hundreds, if not thousands, of magic users to stop.

General

Diamonds is known for its wealth and luxury, the nation of lavish galas and garden parties. They earn this wealth from their vast collection of natural resources, which they are able to take full advantage of due to their born ability to wield the elements. Before other kingdoms learned this magic, Diamonds was the first to hone this ability, getting a head start.

Their soil is already naturally rich, but it doesn’t hurt that farmers can make crops sing by taking advantage of plant based magic, for example. Most notably, Diamonds has exploited the caves that run deep within their grounds and the mountains to the North East, using earth based magic to create mines and harness resources all the way from coal to rarer finds like diamonds, hence the name of the nation. It’s fair to say Diamonds was quick to make significant profit, at least when other Kingdoms began to thrive, that is. The palace was decorated with the gold they mined to honour this show of wealth and, eventually, it became their national colour.

To put it simply, Diamonds thrives off of its agriculture and trade of luxury. They’ve become the fashion capital of the world, with fine silks, metals, and shimmering jewels for the most breath-taking of jewellery. You’ll find many aspiring designers migrating here, and often people retire to Diamonds after a lifetime of building their wealth. Diamonds has been able to enjoy the easy, expensive life with little financial concerns for the majority of the populace, leading, also, to a significant boom in leisure. Notably, Diamonds is home to some of the most famous theatres and the leading nation when it comes to the theatrical arts.

Hearts

Magic

True to its name, Hearts’ core magic revolves around the heart- More specifically, a heartbeat. The beginning and end of said beat. The Hearts Monarchy oversees life and death, tracking souls, so to speak. They do this through pendants (Can also be referred to as ‘amulets’). There are two types of pendants: Fertility pendants and soul pendants.

Fertility pendants are used to track pregnancy and the health of an unborn child. They are usually worn when trying to check if someone is pregnant, or if a couple is trying to conceive. A colourful ‘mist’ will appear in the pendant if the wearer is with child. The mist represents the soul of the child. If there is more than one child present, there will be more than one colour depending on how many embryos there are. There will be two colours in the case of twins, three for triplets, etc. The colours of these mists vary, the reason as to why is unknown. Some say certain colours depict what personality type your child will have, similar to Zodiac signs. There is no evidence to support this theory, however, and so the colour of the mist seems to be just up to chance. One colour is known, however, and only happens in a particular scenario. The mist inside a fertility pendant will turn black in the case of a miscarriage, which only happens if there is infidelity between a couple. Some say this is a punishment given by a higher power, but it is one that seems greatly unjust, especially if the wearer was not the party at fault.

Soul pendants are used to ‘store’ souls. Empty soul pendants will be worn by those who are aware they do not have long left, such as the elderly and/or the severely ill. When they pass, part of their soul/‘life force’ will then be ‘captured’ in the pendant, rather than moving on. Storing a soul using this type of connection to Earth allows the deceased to watch over the living realm as a part of them is still being kept on the physical plain. They can watch over their loved ones from a place most call ‘The Inbetween’. Not much is known of The Inbetween or the afterlife other than this, at least not to anyone still alive.

Soul pendants that are filled with a soul will be given to a loved one of the deceased to wear. The chosen wearer can be named in one’s will if, leading up to their death, the original wearer knows who they want to watch over the most.

A fertility pendant will act as a temporary soul pendant in the case of a miscarriage so that, if the parents wish, their child’s soul can be transferred into an actual soul pendant so that the child, in a way, will still be with them.

Finally, soul pendants (That have a soul inside) can enhance the magic of a wearer by using the life force of the captured soul, but this will weaken the soul overtime until it fades and the connection the deceased once had to the living realm will then be lost, forcing them to fully move on into the afterlife.

Only the Hearts Monarchy and their Makers (Term given to people that manufacture the pendants) can create these pendants. The Monarchy will bestow some of their magic onto Makers, so that they will also have the ability to transfer souls/make pendants that have the ability to capture souls as well. Makers are chosen by the Monarchy and there are very few of them, but they exist to to lessen the workload for the Monarchs themselves so they can still see to their Kingdom’s needs whilst not neglecting the demand for pendants.

It is rumoured that the King and Queen of Hearts share a power that no one else does, however. A final power that links to the human heart. This is the ability to see soulmates. But, again, this is merely a rumour and has not been proven nor disproven.

General

Hearts, well, has a lot of heart. As cheesy as it sounds. But it’s true. This Kingdom is known for its national pride, but also for its sense of community. Citizens will admit that it’s difficult to walk through most villages without at least one grandmother trying to feed them. Children are usually raised by whole towns, not just their own family.

Festivals are not rare in this Kingdom, and they usually surround its citizens’ love of food and alcohol. It’s a wonderful place to go when needing to feel loved and appreciated. It also doesn’t hurt that it’s one of the hotter nations, with a beautifully warm climate.

Moreover, its citizens seem to naturally value life more, and not just their own life for that matter. Many of the world’s best medical schools reside in Hearts, and many of its citizens become doctors, nurses, etc.

Hearts is also known for its art. Diamonds may thrive when it comes to theatre, but Hearts soars when it comes to painting, sculpting, pottery, etc. Both are currently racing to prove who produces the better bards and singers, though.

Clubs

Magic

Clubs' magic revolves around the sun and moon, light and dark, good vs evil, etc. The Clubs Monarchy oversees the balance between light, dark, and neutral magic within the atmosphere, constantly making sure the scales never tip into darkness too much. Dark magic warps people’s minds, makes them give into their darkest desires and selves, having too much of it in the atmosphere can lead to drastic consequences. It will lead people to insanity, create chaos and discord. Thus, it is the Monarchy’s duty to balance out the scales. Say if someone was dabbling in dark magic and they released too much of it into the universe, the Monarchy would balance it out via releasing light magic into the atmosphere, usually by giving out blessings, such as ‘luck’. This is also seen as distributing ‘karma’.

Since balancing the scales is their duty, it is also the role of this Monarchy to decide what types of dark magic are too dangerous and will decide the legislature regarding these types, such as what is illegal and what isn’t, or what needs to be licensed to use, etc. They will consult the other Monarchies before making a final decision, however. Typically, it is also the Clubs Monarchy who will then choose the punishment given to those who are practicing illegal types of magic, such as curses or necromancy.

It is said that the King and Queen can take away one’s ability to do certain types of magic if they begin to abuse their power, and can give this power to remove magic to others they trust, too. It is also said that the King and Queen can harness the energy of the sun and moon to enhance their own magic or the magical abilities of those around them. Neither of these theories have been confirmed.

General

Clubs is...Barren. It’s mountainous terrain, freezing temperatures, and overall snow covered lands makes it difficult to grow almost anything. It’s citizens get by on luck alone, quite literally. The King and Queen throughout history, apparently, have had to bless their citizens with luck just to get by. It’s actually because of this that their national symbol, which had once been a sun, a moon, and an eclipse to represent the balance between light and dark magic, became misinterpreted as a clover through the generations.

It’s main trade is ice and vodka. It doesn’t produce a lot of profit, but it gets them by. Clubs is not a very lively place. Whether this could change or not is up to the New Monarchs.

Spades

Magic

Nothing is known about Spades’ abilities at this point in time. It will remain that way until its Monarchy is found. There are rumours that float around still, from the days of the Old Monarchs, that the Spades Monarchy had the ability to change time. One can dream.

General

Spades is not known for anything yet, other than being the last Kingdom to fall, but also the last to rise again. All they have to show for themselves is a hundred years worth of ruin, like every other Kingdom did before Diamonds rose.
