I’VE SEEN BLACK MEN GET ON TIKTOK & VEHEMENTLY EXPRESS THEIR PREFERENCE FOR “AESTHETICALLY NON-BLACK”, “EXOTIC” OR STRAIGHT UP WHITE WOMEN AND THEY FELT COMFORTABLE IN DOING SO.
Some Women challenged these men by arguing that their personal preferences stemmed from western Anti-Black conditioning and internalized self-hatred. They also challenged men who bashed the Black women who were NOT their preference in order to emphasize who they “prefer”.
NOW THE TABLES HAVE TURNED & BECAUSE OF THIS VIRAL CONVERSATION BETWEEN IYANLA VANZANT & EBONI K WILLIAMS… A-LOT OF WOMEN ARE PUBLICLY AGREEING WITH WILLAMS .. SAYING THEY WOULD NOT DATE A BLUE COLLAR MAN. BUT UNLIKE BLACK MEN THEY ARE NOT SAYING ANYTHING ELSE DEROGATORY ABOUT BLUE COLLAR MEN.
Why is it that BM get come online and be derogatory towards Black women in order to emphasize their preferences …. only to justify their actions by saying - “it’s just a preference” But when women (who are in a higher tax bracket) simply say, they want to date men within their tax bracket? Men are throwing up, sliding down the wall & taking it as a personal attack??
IN A PATRIARCHAL SOCIETY… WOMEN ARE ALWAYS VIEWED AS “WRONG” UNLESS THEY DEVOTE THEIR LIVES TO SERVICING THE PATRIARCHY.
Reni Lodge has a book : Why I’m no longer talking to white people about race… similarly women need to stop talking about (love, dating, marriage) around men. The male masses will always promote the oppressive systems that men benefit from the most.

On second viewing: Dragnet (dir. Tom Mankiewicz, 1987)

Out of Tom Hanks's pre-A League of Their Own films, this one is predictably silly, sexist, and homophobic, yet not horrible, despite the lead presence of Aykroyd. The latter is compensated by the splendid charisma of Holmes and the slimy charm of Plummer, both of whom appears in a few short scenes. Hanks, the second lead, is effortlessly funny long before he becomes the US's most reliable mainstream actor.

I think youvsaidbthe Foster Care AU is the one you want to have finished /been working the most on, want to talk about your progress?
I'm still on the first Willie chapter, where Willie is suspicious of this wholesome little family and their happy foster kid and their many couches.
Also, I added this little 'just for me and anyone else who remembers Judging Amy' easter egg, because I can.
“Why? It’s not like you’re going to believe me anyway,” Willie said.
“I can perhaps understand where you would get that impression,” Maxine said.
“Oh, so you’ve met Kimberly,” they muttered, and they didn’t miss the quirked lips of an aborted smile as Maxine turned her head.
