Concept art! Meet Erica Shylocke, the female protagonist of the Lost Soul Saga, my first series in The KeyMaster Chronicles. She's a 19 year old university student studying in London. She's in debt and in trouble with her parents, not to mention constantly juggling her studies, work and battling to hide a lifelong secret. Oh, and she was almost killed by a Lost Soul. She has had better days!

What do you think? I started out writing by wanting to be a Manga artist. I have sketch books full of characters for my graphic novels but I haven't drawn since 2009, please be nice! 🙈

Well, I didn't expect my first post on Tumblr to be about a virus slowly taking over the world. These are unprecedented times. Social distancing, isolation, panic buying, school closures, exams cancelled. We've all been affected in ways we could never have imagined and I'm sure we'll continue to be affected in the weeks to come. Here in the UK, isolation of the vulnerable and social distancing is only just starting.

Besides this, people are losing jobs. I lost mine this week and I don't qualify for sick pay or support. My child's nursery then closed so I haven't even childcare for when I do find a job. This got me thinking that I need a source of income that could continue in times of crisis; I'm even more determined to get my series published.

Hello Book Friends! This is my last week of freedom before the half-term holiday so I've been grabbing every available minute to write and make headway on the rewrite of Book Two in my Soul Dominion series, 𝘒𝘦𝘺𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘍𝘢𝘵𝘦. #365writingweeklychallenge asks plot first or characters? For Soul Dominion, I was inspired by several landmarks on my daily commute when a student in London. After mulling on them, key characters and the story walked in my head virtually fully formed. So a bit of both ✨ #WritersFriendsChallenge asks use to share an aesthetic for our antagonist. In Book One, the only antagonists you really get to see are my Lost Souls. What's in a name? Hello Book Friends! It's the weekend! 🥳 #themoonearthandskychallenge asked about my WIP's title. My books have the overriding title of the 'KeyMaster Chronicles'. As they are set in my KeyMaster Universe. So far, in this world, I'm writing two series 'KeyMaster Origins'—a prequel series with back stories to certain key characters—and another. The current working title to this series is the 'Lost Soul Saga' and Book 1 has always had the working title of 'The KeyMaster'. Though early discussions with cover designers are making me realise this might not be possible. Availability of stock photos, not to mention genre conventions, cannot be ignored.
