like i've done this shit for ages man !!! you think i know how to make a comprehensive tagging system of every trope just like that ?? i've ran multiple fic rec blogs before and i promise, almost no author cares if you share their fic after it's deleted. if anything, a bunch don't even rmb why they deleted it and sometimes regret it.

like this one time i had someone ask me for a link of a deleted fic and it was their own !!!! they had deleted it a while back and didn't have any backup copy of it and wanted to repost it.

and yeah, it's just a little funny like its fuckin mcyt fanfiction man, you're not going to hell for it. your fanfiction is not encouraging any misdeed or sin. if anything it brings people joy and comfort and you'll probably rmb it fondly later too. if not, then just forget about it. orphaning a fic also exists.

Index of Orphaned Works

Gonna use this post to cobble together an index of works that were either intentionally or unintentionally orphaned thanks to my old AO3 account getting memory-holed, complete or not.  Also gonna discuss the possibility of these getting resurrected! Runaway - for Mad Max: at 40 chapters and 96,028 words, an Alternate Universe fic where Furiosa’s escape from the Citadel with the Wives never takes place.  She’s found out and manages to escape, fleeing to the vantage point above the Powder Lakes where she meets one Max Rockatansky. There are definitely plans to revamp this and finish this, though I have hardly put much work into doing so.  I refuse to re-up an orphaned work that is not finished and do what I perceive as bogging up a fandom tag.  I’d like to complete this, re-edit this, and get it posted like twice every week.  There is an outline that stretches towards the end, with one thing left to question, so it should be easy if I get to it.

Royce - for Mad Max: at 5 chapters and 11,138 words, a canon compliant fic about a young man who was captured and used as a blood-bag by the Citadel, exploring his life in the Chop Shop and on the road in the Gigahorse when Immortan Joe demands someone low-octane come along. Posted and deleted once already so I could re-write it, man.  I definitely know what I want to do here since this is basically a low-key self-insert.  It’s also a fascinating perspective, one that holds a rough draft up until the chase to the Citadel.  I again want to finish this before I think of another chapter going up on AO3. More fics below the cut.

An Ace in the Hole - for Mad Max: at 3 chapters and 9,218 words, an Alternate Universe fic about Ace, Furiosa’s right-hand man, being in on her flight from the Citadel with the Wives. Probably not gonna do this one.  It is a fic that was a fascinating idea but ultimately has no goal.  I have no idea what’s going to happen where, which is one of the awful sort of trends I have as a writer, to not know what I’m going to do.  

Lonely Souls - for Mad Max: at 10 chapters and 21,776 words, an Alternate Universe fic in a modern setting about Furiosa murdering Colonel Joe Moore as revenge and dying in the process.  As her ghost remains in this world, reitred widower Max Rockatansky tries to move on in life and rents out a house, not sure whether or not to believe the rumors that it’s haunted.

All due respect to @v8roadworrier who spawned the fic, I am so sorry, I’m not sure that I’ll finish this up.  You laid down the groundwork for me for sure! - and almost all that’s left is to write ghost fluff! - but I’ll probably let this one sleep.  It was fun as fuck though.

Through The Looking Glass - for Mad Max: at 5 chapters and 10,828 words, an Alternate Universe fic that sees Max and Furiosa bound as soulmates - each one dreams what the other lived that day.  As Furiosa lives as a captive in the Citadel, and Max goes on as a Main Force Patrol member, what happens when one decides to contact the other in their sleep?

Once again, so fucking fun to write.  I think it was a clumsy sort of execution, I don’t like how I immediately came up with terminology for it - “floating” - and I think I could do better if I re-wrote it, which I doubt will happen.  I don’t know what could happen.  Does Max trudge through the events of all three movies, as they happen or not?  I dunno, a lot of hypotheticals, but I’ll let this one rest as well.

The Salt - for Mad Max: at 3 chapters and 9,131 words, an Alternate Universe fic about Max being compelled to follow everyone down into the Salt on their journey, unable to find reason to turn around and claim the Citadel as their own.

This *was* supposed to become a full-fledged fic but I just shut it down right before it became anything special.  I had no idea what they’d do out there on the Salt, so I figured I’d keep it to describes Max’s motivation to follow them, not lead them away.  Not gonna revive this one.

After - for Half-LIfe: a one-shot at 4,338 words (complete!) a post-Half-Life 2: Episode 2 human victory fic that describes the night shared by Gordon, Alyx, and Barney before they arrive at White Forest after destroying the Borealis.

The Life and Death of a War Boy - for Mad Max: a one-shot at 2,350 words, a fic exploring the culture around War Boys, war, death, and what happens when death simply doesn’t come for them.

Ear to the Ground - for Mad Max: a one-shot at 8,594 words, a fic for the 2018 Mad Max Fury Road Exchange, for @v8roadworrier/Owlship, about Furiosa deciding to look for Max after the events of the movie.

Other fics exist surely that I either can’t find or don’t remember.  Included are an attempted long-fic about Slit being found amidst the carnage of the Fury Road, basically a hurt/comfort “everyone lives” fic where Toast sort of takes care of him, a fic about the four times Max visited the Citadel and the confrontation from the Wives about his habit of leaving without saying anything, and a dinky little Fallout fic.

Top 5 underdeveloped ZP characters

Disclaimer because yes. Zoophobia is owned by our Lord and Savior Vivziepop. This list is my own bothersome opinion. If you disagree, that's great. If you can, tell me your thoughts on the topic. All I ask of everyone is that they be civil to one another, no matter how they react to this list.

First, let's define what I mean by underdeveloped. By this statement, I mean that a character feels like they were rushed or lazily made with not much effort. Now, does this mean that this was actually the case? No. I'm sure some of these characters Vivz believes she's put a lot of thought into them. I'm just saying these characters feel lazily done. Either they didn't live up go hype and expectations encouraged by Vivz, or they underperformed for their role. We good? Let's go....

DM 1: Mackenzie

Look, I love Mackenzie, she is a pure child who needs a god damn hug, but I can't dry she's mainly just the stereotypical bullied girl character. I've said in the past that tropes aren't a bad thing on there own. However, as with many things, there are was to do them right and ways to do them wrong. The best way to go about them is to add your own flavor to them, give them something that stands out. Mackenzie, however, lacks this. While I admit she's cute and all, I can't deny that a lot of Mackenzie's traits have been copy pasted from other characters like her. If I had to name something I think could end up making her a little different is have her be a rival to Addison somehow. Anybody else notice the parallels going on between her and him? They're both adopted, they're both good at art, they're both introverts, they're both considered freaks, except for whatever reason, Addi gets a bunch of boyfriends and he isn't put down as often as Mackenzie. I feel like this could make for an interesting idea and give Mackenzie more depth beyond "the bullied cutie".

DM 2: JayJay

So, I'm basically parroting what several have said on JayJay, so I'll keep this brief. For the poster child of zp, JayJay is pretty underwhelming. She's mostly just a party girl with some sprinkles of characters depth. I suspect that JayJay was never planned to be the poster child. She was probably just a character Vivz enjoyed drawing. However, after Die Young sky rocketed her popularity, the demand for more JayJay got high. One thing led to another, and here we are. I'm willing to bet that JayJay was simply meant to be a side character. However, Vivz could at least tried to flesh her out more as she started trying to push Jay to be the poster child.

5. Kiki

Shout out to @pink-wants-to-die for suggesting this. Also, everybody go follow her and her other account @rzphhs She's a treat.

Ok, so I wasn't around when this character was introduced and hyped up by Vivz. Fortunately, my aforementioned buddy was. She basically summarized what the deal was. So, KiKi was propped up as this super cool, transgender character. That's right, we had a trans character and, from what Vivz was babbling on about, she'd have a solid role in the story, it was gonna be great. At least that was the plan. Then the comic came along, and anybody excited to see this character do some cool shit collectively decided " RIP that dream". For an LGBT character so hyped up to turn out to be nothing more then a gossiping lackey for a school bully is disappointing. Hell, as someone who never heard of KiKi before reading the comic, I didn't even realize KiKi was there the first 5 times. I can only imagine what some dissapointed readers must of felt. Look, if you're going to hype a character up, hype up those that actually have 3 dimensional personalities and aren't card board cutouts is what I'm getting at here.

4. Rusty

Sooooo, do I even need to ask how many people have already depicted how Rusty is going to progress in the story? It's the same problem with Mackenzie, but it's even worse here. Lemme guess, he's an orphan, secretly gay, takes out his anger on others through bullying, and Will eventually go through a character arc that makes him not a bully? Boom. 5 bottles of maple syrup say I've just accurately depicted Rusty's entire story in zp. Unlike Mackenzie, I can't even predict something that could make him interesting. He's a stereotypical bully just there to make other characters look sympathetic or better.

3. Tom

I've discussed this guy before, so I'll keep it brief. This guy is litteraly Damian, except with some character traits deleted. And it doesn't work to parallel the characters or anything. Addi and Mackenzie clearly have different traits that makes them unique to one another. Tom does the following : feels lonely, is flirty, possessive, considered creepy, plays a guitar like instrument, has a parent who is an important figure in hell, and is possessive over Addison. All of these Damian also does. Even Tom's design feels lazy, looking like the love child of Ink and Bozzwick. The only unique thing I could find was....he sews. Ok then. I dunno about you guys, but I'm calling lazy on this one.

2. Cameron

Ok, so Cameron isn't nearly as bad as the previous few, but I put her higher because. ...well, she's the goddamned main character. I feel like we should get to know more about Cam. For instance, why don't we see what's she's like when she's not afraid? We see her being scared and nervous in every appearance she's in. Even before she gets to Safe Haven, she's stressed and worked up. Why not spend some time with her outside of Safe Haven? Is she always neurotic? What do her friends and family think of her zoophobia? I also wished she played more of a role in the comic, as for the most part, she's either forgotten or hidden in the background. Have her actions and decisions affect the story more! Otherwise, why is she there?

1. Zill

Oh look, salt.

Look, I've gone over several times why Zill annoys me. He's mostly uninteresting. I get it, he's not emotional or anything, he's a laid back bro who plays straight man to several characters. The problem here is actually one he shares with Cam. Despite being important (he's apart of the main cast, he'll be one of the characters we follow most), he doesn't really affect the plot in any way. In his introduction chapter (arc 2), the main conflict isn't his fault. Yes, he's forgetful, but the problem mostly arises from Damian being a sociopath, and everyone just deciding not to mention the anniversary until the day of. It doesn't really come from any fault in Zill's character. He doesn't even really solve the problem either. Kayla just has a convenient change of heart, and Vegenza just randomly shows up. It seems like there are definitely things planned for Zill, what with his species being a mystery, and the story questioning his and Kayla's relationship, but he doesn't have any real character beyond cool bro. His stories come from stuff just happening to him out of contrivance, and he doesn't really affect it. And since he's someone we're going to follow for a good portion of zp, he needs to be better.

Yugioh S3 Ep8: Noah Gets off His Ass, Immediately Sits Back Down

I am so thankful for short episodes.

Mostly short because it was mostly a game and we don’t actually go over the games here.

So to summarize that entire game, overall, Johnson, the evil lawyer, was cheating.

Shocking.

And then, for another surprise.

Maybe Yugi just makes these with one of those little die-casting machines you make little tabletop characters with. I can see his parents trying to get him into crafts to try and calm down his absurd nervous energy. Maybe he gives these to people he’s cursed to keep track of them. Still a little weird that everyone’s cool with having Yugi’s third eye on their coinage.

Like does Seto have this in his pocket? I assume he does too, right?

Speaking of, on the other side of the forest, Mokuba and Seto went into another door and I think at this point Noah just kind of ran out of ideas and wanted them to get some exercise so he sent them to Dune.

Noah has still not talked directly with Seto Kaiba. So, now, instead of being lost in a forest they are lost in a desert. That has a beach on it. Maybe it’s...just a beach. Still feels super desert, though. Deserts can have beaches, right?

And so Noah kind of rolls his eyes after watching this duel for about 15 minutes and then shows that he can stand on those two feet and thus dashing any ideas I may have had that he’s paralyzed and can only float around on the weird sci fi chair.

And then Noah left this old ass clunky TV just stranded in the desert.

Man, remember when TV’s were the worst?

Like Noah wasn’t really planning on coming down here to deal with this duel situation, so does he know that Seto can see him? Or, did he forget that he left his streaming software on when he went to deal with Yugi and friends?

I love how the show forgot it’s own timeline within the same season. I got to hand it to this series in how much it just *doesn’t give a damn* about the timeline at all. Like it has a video game spinoff where Yugi is King Henry 7th fighting in the war of roses and they’re like...”That works perfectly. And can we have a spinoff where they’re just on motorcycles and throwing cards? That’ll make sense, too”

Like it’s sort of refreshing in this age of people raging about every minor detail in Marvel or DC or Star Wars in how much these guys messed up the Kaiba timeline but they don’t even care. They’re over there sipping tea with their middle finger to the sunset just like, “come at me bro, and I’ll just make another insane spinoff just to spite you all. Go ahead, do it.”

Remember also that Kaiba’s past self is also married to a paper card that Kaiba now uses so Kaiba has not only been orphaned twice but is also a widow. And he’s only 16.

Apparently in the Japanese version, he was like 8 when he got adopted, I dunno why they changed that, they just did, and no one cares. Which is fine. It’s a kid’s show. If we treated more shows like that and just relaxed and let the creator go for it and tell us their crazy tale, we’d probably enjoy the content more.

I mean...every single property ever written is going to have timeline problems, eventually. And then there’s Yugioh, who have made so many timeline sins at this point that Season Zero might actually still be canon. Like, that’s what’s kind of neat when you have such a flexible timeline. If we were to say the timeline is perfect, then basically none of Season Zero happened. But, because they never outright say and because they contradict themselves so often, then sure, believe whatever you want. No one can fight you. Yugi once made a guy think he was watch parts and then set another guy on fire with Russian whisky. That can still be canon if we wanted to.

Either way, if Gozoboro got the Hell out of Dodge 5 years ago and abandoned his kids, that means that the Big 5 and Seto have been in charge of this company since Kaiba was 11. As someone who watches 11 yos as a part time I would LOVE to see any of them try and do sales taxes. On guns. Seto Kaiba has been selling mostly guns since the time he was 11. No wonder he used to dye his hair lime green. It probably went gray from stress at age 12.

But then once I assume this duel is thankfully over and Noah is about to do everyone a favor and delete Johnson, Joey decides to be an idiot.

And then he teleports away in a very pretty set of twinkle lights.

It was nice of our villain to try and save everyone’s asses. Yugioh villains are unique in that they are constantly saving our heroes better than the heroes save themselves. In this case, Joey was so bad at saving himself that he immediately jumped back into the same pit Noah dragged him out of.

And Seto and Mokuba just have nothing to say about that, apparently. No one seems to think that this was the weirdest exchange just now.

Like they really did just sit here in this desert with one TV and watched Joey Wheeler play a game although they supposedly don’t like Joey at all.

Yeah, he just screams out this weird line and then adds an “if it weren’t for you meddling kids” type of finisher and then blows up into thousands of pieces.

Got one last lawyer jab in there, I see Yugioh. You have...so much disdain for lawyers. Which is very funny since the only DMCA I’ve ever received was over Yugioh fanart. And guys, I’m at the point of internet obscurity when it comes to art, where that happened, and I was like “FINALLY! I’m actually getting recognition for my hard work from like...a real company! WOW!”

Sorry I had to delete a 60 K word rant about internet marketing and this is my blog to escape that hell beast.

So after Joey does his 180 and remembers that he has a sister, he tosses Yugi in the air a little bit and then just books it down the hallway.

With the way he was acting you’d think he’d just carry Yugi under his arm like a football until Serenity is found, but instead, Yugi and his very short legs will follow behind like 30 steps.

Mmmmm look at that early 00′s DeviantArt grunge. Nice. I kinda miss when we were digging through this artist’s old and crusty pen supply cabinet but maybe they will make a return.

Off they go, to save Joey’s sister again. And also Duke Devlin.

OMG is this my moment that Duke Devlin will finally die OMG is it happening? Please, show please give Duke Devlin something to do.
