she's the bridge between them both !!! their common denominator. young and brazen jamie still growing up, walking in the middle of the street like it's there just for him. experienced and brash roy learning not to be so stuck in his old ways, while sensibly walking the sidewalk and following behind the two most important adults currently in his life. like. what more could you want in an ot3?

My thoughts on Ted Lasso S3,E1:
In a shocking turn of events, Jamie Tartt is currently the person least in need of therapy.

It had felt like a small eternity, that they had been stuck in this place and the terror slumbering beneath her veins was only amplified by the cries of a young child nearby. Harlow had managed to find a place to sit, her body aching from the hours she'd lain, still as a stone, as well as her head. The bruise on the left side of her face spoke volumes of the damage that had been done to her and she struggled to remember what had happened. People had told her and yet, Harlow could not keep a single thought for long enough to memorize it. A heavy sigh fell from her lips, before the overwhelming emotions poured down on her and tears began to fall, alongside a bitter sob.

A theater company born out of the pandemic will soon start rehearsals for its first mainstage production of 2023. On May 25, The Legacy Theatre will debut the world premiere of “Masters of Puppets,” a riveting drama by Laurence Davis that explores the dirty underbelly of professional wrestling.
A brief history
The aptly-named Legacy Theatre was one of the few companies producing shows following the first full year of the COVID-19 lockdown, according to Managing Director Jeff Provost. Before they set up shop in the former Stony Creek Playhouse — a historic haunt of Orson Welles and the Mercury Theatre Players — Legacy staged productions at the nearby Stony Creek Museum and outdoors on the Guilford and Branford greens.
Co-Founders Keely Baisden Knudsen and Stephanie Stiefel Williams spearheaded the company’s renovation of the playhouse while preserving its “fabled history,” Provost said. And while audiences were slow to return amid pandemic-era restrictions, the theater’s production mix proved successful.
“Keely has made a commitment since Day One to do at least one new play as part of our mainstage series,” Provost said. “It really tells you how daring and willing we are as a theater company to explore new ideas and works onstage.”
‘Masters of Puppets’
Davis’ work follows a husband and wife (played by Kurt Fuller of CBS’s “Evil” and Amanda Detmer of Fox’s “Empire”) who are “the masters” of a large-scale wrestling organization, Provost said. The couple engage in a power struggle with an executive from the professional sports network (played by Dana Ashbrook of Showtime’s “Twin Peaks”) over who’s pulling the proverbial strings.
“There’s always been questions as to what’s real and what’s fake in the world of wrestling, and those questions continue to this day,” Provost said. “This piece explores the topic in a really thought-provoking way. It’s a gritty, no-holds-barred approach to the subject matter.”
“Masters of Puppets” comes to the Legacy stage via James Roday Rodriguez (of ABC’s “A Million Little Things”), who will assist Legacy behind the scenes as a producer. Rodriguez and Knudsen grew up together; they performed alongside each other in middle school and eventually studied together as undergraduate students at New York University. Director Gabe McKinley was at NYU with them as well.
Provost explained that Rodriguez initially intended to produce the show with a theater company out in Los Angeles, but then COVID hit. Rodriguez connected with Knudsen about debuting “Puppets” at Legacy, and the rest, they say, is history.
“All of these connections and relationships that James has in the industry will play out really beautifully in this production,” Provost added. “The actors know each other very well and already have that base established.”
The world premiere of “Masters of Puppets” debuts at The Legacy Theatre on Thursday, May 25, at 7 p.m. Performances run through June 11, with shows on Thursdays at 7 p.m., Fridays at 8 p.m., Saturdays at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m., and Sundays at 2 p.m.
Tickets are on sale now; season subscribers receive a 25 percent discount. For more information, visit www.LegacyTheatreCT.org.
[Anyone who wants to go please heed the content warning on their website: For mature audiences. Contains violence, harsh language, and drug use. There is no puppetry in the production.]

OCtober Day 19: Study/Stress
Very big Nexomon: Extinction spoilers!
Ulrich had known it would happen sooner or later.
He’d been taking care of his sister’s child and several human children for seven years now, mostly without incident— and what incidents there had been were of the entirely mundane variety. Childish squabbles, outbreaks of a common human illness he’d had to enlist help in dealing with, the occasional Larkito getting indoors through windows carelessly left open. It had been seven fairly simple years, and he’d known it wouldn’t last forever. Sooner or later, little Keely would begin exhibiting signs of their true nature, and Ulrich watched carefully for whatever the first sign would be, so he could stay on top of it.
Still, of all the things he’d imagined might happen, he certainly hadn’t expected spontaneously-growing hair to be among them.
He almost didn’t notice it. Keely showed up at breakfast one morning with their hair looking even more unruly than usual, but Nora had stubbed her toe and Ezra was arguing with Coco over something or other, so Ulrich’s attention was divided in the busy atmosphere— besides, it was difficult to be sure, with their hair being as curly as it was. But afterwards, when the children were doing their chores, he took a second look. Keely’s hair was about an inch longer than it had been the previous night. He kept a closer eye on Keely for the rest of that day, but nobody else seemed to notice their hair, and Keely themself was acting entirely normal. He couldn’t be sure if they were acting, or simply didn’t know what they’d done.
The next day, Keely’s hair was again different. That extra inch of hair was gone— and, if Ulrich had to guess, a bit more with it. It was possible they’d cut it, of course, but Ulrich didn’t think so. He’d seen them using scissors, and they were not that steady. Again, no one seemed to notice, including Keely.
The next day Keely’s hair was unchanged, but when on the fourth day Ulrich saw that it had grown again, he began to fret. It was possible he’d only noticed because he was always keeping an eye out for signs of the child’s powers, but frankly, he was shocked that no one else had picked up on anything by now. And he still couldn’t be sure whether or not Keely knew what they were doing. It put him on edge.
“Keely!” he said sharply that afternoon, while they were reading. They jumped, and for a moment he felt a little bad for startling them. But only a moment. They set their book on their lap and looked up at him. “Have you brushed your hair?”
They thought about it, then nodded. Ulrich watched their expression, but they looked entirely sincere, and there was no trace of guilt in their features, as he’d thought there might be.
“It’s still a mess,” he said gruffly. Paused. “Keep it brushed.” Keely nodded again, looking mildly sheepish. Without another word, Ulrich walked away.
Tension buzzed in his mind. He’d thought about asking them to tidy it again now, but he didn’t want to draw their attention to it. He was reasonably certain by then that Keely had no idea what was going on with their hair, and it was absolutely crucial that it stay that way. But they would notice, if it kept on. Someone certainly would. And the more he thought about it, the more stressed— and frustrated— he became. He could think of no way to prevent anyone noticing the changes in the child without making Keely themself aware of it.
He was beginning to think it might be time to enlist help with the situation.

Look, I'm probably going to get a lot of shit for this but this show was all about breaking cycles.
Rebecca could have become another wealthy owner, utterly embittered, much more interested in hurting those around them to keep themselves up than to actually finding any happiness in the world. Instead she became her own person, found several families, embraced them all, and gave back in a way that helped most of them.
Nate could have learned that lashing out and repression were at least an outlet for his frustrations, he could have followed in Rupert's footsteps and become a miserable jackass. Instead by accepting the kindness and Grace of other people he started over, found love, and came home.
Keeley could have become a lot like her friend, never recognizing her inherent talents, slowly panicking as she aged, abandoned by the Machine by the time she was 30. She could have seen other women as enemies or at least combatants, but instead she found better friendship and mentorship and began to pass it on to others as she bettered her own life.
Roy's endless cycle of rage and hurting himself and pushing himself too hard to return could have literally killed him. He could have been like any number of Aging athletes whose life ends at 35. Instead he has a new career in a place that he loves, and he is finding ways to improve his mental health and open up.
Jamie could have been just another celebrity douchebag, possibly even sinking into the alcoholism that was taking his father. Just as much as keely, he was often seen as only as good as his physical fitness and his body, but he went back and read the books, he learned tactics, he learned to accept help and to give help and he became 10 times the man and 10 times the player that he was at the beginning. his career could have flamed out young but he got his second chance and he gave his father a second chance in turn.
And Ted, oh god Ted. his father made the ultimate selfish choice. He decided if he couldn't be perfect and he couldn't be everything he would be nothing. He would rather absent himself from his son's life then be there for him in whatever ways he could. Ted could have been happy in england. Ted could have had an incredible career. But Henry would not have had a father. How many times did people remind us that parents are responsible for the ways they fuck up their children during this show? Every other fucking episode, another way to point out that there are cycles of failure and frustration and psychological damage that get passed down from generation to generation. He broke that cycle, over and over. He didn't pin Michelle down into an unhappy marriage. They split up, and were both happier for it. He chose to put his son first, to not abandon him. He can have an incredible career anywhere in the world with a season like that. But he can't be in Henry's life the way he wants to be from six time zones away.
This isn't denigrating people who by necessity are long distance parents. But I would be willing to bet that if you asked any of those long distance parents if, given the choice, they would move back to be close to their kids? I'm willing to bet you pretty much every single one of them would say fuck yes, I want to hug them in the morning and tuck them in bed at night. I want to go to their soccer games and see their art shows.
Ted chose to be sincerely and honestly present in Henry's life. I don't think he's getting back with Michelle, he's not going back for a marriage. He's going home to be a father and I think his father would be proud.

Hi!!! Can I request a jamie tartt drabble with the prompt
"You said you wouldn't fall in love with me." "I lied."
Ty my love💗💞!!
a/n: ahhh, this has been sitting in my drafts for ages. but here you go, I really love this concept, and I think it turned out pretty well! let me know what you think!
oOoOo
"Y-you said you wouldn't fall in love me." you stuttered, staring at Jamie in total shock.
It all started out so innocently. Jamie had come to you, weeks ago, desperate for a date to a Richmond charity event.
"Me?" you laughed. "Don't you have some model that can hang off your arm for the evening?"
"Well, 'course I do." he scoffed. "But Keeley and them want me to have someone that would look make me look less shallow. Someone I have a history with." Jamie explained, shuffling around.
"And that person is me?" you questioned, to which Jamie only shrugged, hands deep in his pockets.
The two of you had been friends for quite some time, so it made sense on a practical level. But when was anything as simple as it seemed? Recently, your feelings had crossed the threshold from friends to wanting something more, not that Jamie ever noticed. As much as you loved him, he could be a bit oblivious at times.
Jamie seemed to sense your hesitation. "It's not like I'm going to fall in love with you or anything."
You played off his statement with a laugh, trying to ignore the pang you felt in your chest. "We wouldn't want that." you breathed out before agreeing to the plan.
What was supposed to be one date, turned into five, turned into a whole fake relationship. The positive press Jamie received was more than anyone had been expecting, and Keely suggested to keep it up for a little while longer.
At first, it had just been acting like a couple for the cameras, then acting like the friends you had been behind closed doors. But recently, Jamie had sat closer to you, let his touches linger longer, and always have his gaze on you, even without the cameras around.
It got too much for your heart to bare, which is why you broke down in front of him demanding to know why he insisted on teasing you so much. Never in your wildest dreams had you imagined he would respond by saying "I love you."
"Yeah, well, I lied." he shrugged his shoulders as though he had just commented on the weather outside.
Your laugh came at rather breathy at his response, shaking your head at the footballer in front of you. If only either of you had realized or said something sooner. So much time and heartache could have been avoided.
"That okay?" Jamie asked, suddenly rather nervous that you hadn't really responded to his declaration.
A soft smile spread across your lips as you took a few steps to stand only inches away from him. "It's more than okay, Jamie." you said, finally closing the distance and kissing your best friend.
