HIII JULIET I’ve yet to watch the movie (but I will as soon as I have time) but I’d love to hear your thoughts in Glass Onion!!! you can make it spoiler-y or not, either way is fine :)

I will make it as non spoiler-y as possible, my friend!!

My thoughts are that Rian Johnson’s knives out films are like reincarnating agatha christie and giving her a camera instead of a pen. You have to consider Glass Onion a companion piece, rather than a sequel, to knives out, because it’s only really similar in style and in the fact that Blanc is at the center of it.

Glass onion is this lovely, intricate, hilarious parlor mystery, a la “And Then There Were None”. It’s got that fantastic Eat The Rich spice we all love to see in a movie, and i can already tell it’s going to be rewatchable (see: i’m watching again tonight with my mother).

The characters are all fantastically fleshed out which is a feat for such an ensemble cast, Benoit is fantastic as always, and the leading lady (who i will not name for spoiler reasons) is BADASS.

My favorite thing about Rian johnson’s work is his ARSENAL of chekhov’s guns in every corner of the piece, and this movie is no different. EVERY detail matters in this story, and it’s so, so, so delightful.

Other miscellaneous things i loved: the Costumes OMG, the lighthouse lighting, the red herrings, the random ass cameos from famous people in the silliest places.

I just really truly enjoyed this movie!! mysteries are always right up my alley and i just knew this was gonna SLAP royally
