I always thought the song Under Grey Skies by Kamelot described Merlin's devotion to Arthur perfectly, and the fact that the band is called Kamelot feels a little like fate, and so in honor of the 10 year anniversary of the finale I made this tribute. I haven't done much video editing before this, so it's very simple, but I hope you Merlin fans will enjoy it anyway. To the once and future fandom!🥂

SIMONE SIMONS On Being In EPICA With Her Ex-Boyfriend, MARK JANSEN: 'We Wanted To Preserve The Band Because It Was Special'
During a January 24 appearance on "El Hilo" on Honduras's Canal 5, EPICA singer Simone Simons spoke about what it's been like to work with guitarist/vocalist Mark Jansen for the past two decades after the breakup of their romantic relationship. She said (as transcribed by BLABBERMOUTH.NET): "I think when we decided to break up, we were in the band together and we wanted to preserve the band because it was special. So I think both of us were professional enough, even though it was difficult at times, if the relationship doesn't work, we still wanted to fight for the band because we thought that was something unique and special that we had. And I guess that's kept us together. And now we're really good friends. So, all good. Water under the bridge."
Jansen, who was also sitting in on the interview, added simply, "I agree."
Mark previously discussed his relationship with Simone during a March 2021 appearance on the "Loaded Radio" podcast. At the time, he said: "We are very close friends. I was just talking to her, like, one hour ago. We are very good friends. We understand each other.
"I think it's very unique to have a good relationship with your ex-girlfriend; not many people have the same way," he continued. "And not many new partners would like that, but our partners have no problem with it whatsoever. So it's a very unique situation, and I'm really happy that it worked out this way. Because for both of us, EPICA is our passion, our love, and we would have never wanted to give it up just because the relationship ended. And then, afterwards, we still became tight friends. That's great. So I'm really thankful that we could work it out this way."
Simone's husband is KAMELOT keyboardist Oliver Palotai, with whom she shares a 10-year-old son, Vincent G. Palotai. They live in Germany. Jansen's girlfriend is the Italian opera singer Laura Macrì, with whom he lives in the south of Italy. They share a three-month daughter, Ilse.

The ENTIRE Force Bond Series. A ‘Luke is raised by Vader’ AU.  I think one of the very first fanfics I ever read. I remember reading it back in my freshman year of high school during algebra. It’s what made me fall in love with ‘Kid Luke’. Such a good series, honestly.

My newest art piece! Special props to @progressive-waves-art for inspiring me to try my (amateur) hand at drawing something from the artwork of Kamelot's The Awakening! Her work served as a great lesson for me in drawing simple hands - I always struggle with them, so this was really, really helpful visual! 🤍
I'm very happy with the result, which is, of course, just an interpretation of the original artwork of the CD (I don't know if that's necessary to be mentioned).

How do you like your metal? Black like your coffee? Slow and thick like a sludgy soup? Gothic?
Ok starting with slow and thick and sludgy, HAIL THE VOID MY BELOVED. Stoner/doom metal and listening to it is the most tactile erotic experience possible. It’s not sexual lyrically or anything it’s just so… I don’t even know it’s just everything to me AND THEY ONLY JUST RECENTLY HIT 2k FOLLOWERS ON SPOTIFY. I followed them years ago at 300. It’s RIDICULOUS that they’re not the biggest thing in the scene to me everyone go listen to them. I just put both their signed vinyl records up on my wall last night.
I love going to small to mid sized black and death metal shows because there’s always a pit (even if there’s all of 15 people there) and it’s easy to mosh and dance to without knowing the songs so I can show up at any little local venue if I see an event posted with a beaver dam lookin logo and have a great night. But I don’t listen to it on my own time.
I love Type O Negative for goth metal SO much, but goth music is often too repetitive for me. GothIC, I love dramatic symphonic shit like Kamelot, Nightwish, Epica, etc. which feels quite gothic.
My standard fare is like 2014 metalcore (Amity Affliction, Bring Me The Horizon, etc.) but I don’t stay in any one territory. A balanced metal diet is important.

Fallen Star by Kamelot - It's extremely difficult for me to choose a single Kamelot song to put on any lists like this since I've been in love with their music for like 20 years, but we'll go with this one.
The Grey by Thrice - I finally saw them live last year. The band did great, but unfortunately I could do without the crowd.
Epicentre by VNV Nation - I actually hunted down this song after hearing it at a local goth club. Several years later, I got to see them live at said club, and I have zero regrets about it.
BangBangBUR! ···n? by Sawano Hiroyuki - Whenever I'm in a mood, the Promare soundtrack's sure to pick me up.
Take a Little Hand from the Ghost in the Shell: SAC Solid State Society Soundtrack by Yoko Kanno - The Ghost in the Shell: SAC soundtracks have been on my regular rotation for years. This one's getting put on the list because it's been stuck in my head a lot recently.
