when you were still fresh in your relationship, he thought your bruises and cuts were cause you were getting beat up by delinquents

you know that angry face he always makes? yeah that's the face he had when he saw your injuries

at first you thought he was mad at you so you confronted him

poor boy was confused

like huh? why would he be mad at you?

then you explained and he was like oh

he ends up ranting about how he's gonna beat whoever is hurting you and how they shouldn't mess with you otherwise they're messing with him

you can't help but laugh a bit, cause tbh it's so cute seeing him so protective over you :')

when you explain it's because you're clumsy he goes beet red with embarrassment

now that he knows he prolly gets mad at whatever you accidentally hurt yourself with

you knocked into the corner of a table and now you have a bruise? throws it or punches it till it smashes

now you're problem is solved

conclusion: he will have beef with anything that hurts you

KUSUO SAIKI

saw it coming

obviously

he will never admit but he always tries his best using his abilities to make sure you don't get hurt

secretly, not so secretly, uses his hand to cover the edges of tables so you don't get hurt

at this point he does it instinctively

he always carries a mini first aid kit in case you need it!!

you got a cut on your finger? don't worry, Saiki has band aids ready to go!

Low-key worries about you cause you could get seriously hurt one day

if you ever tease him for being a sweetheart he'll turn red like a tomato and deny it

probably bonks you in the head (softly) so you don't tease him again

just let him care for you in his own way! 😤

SHUN KAIDO

y'all know what's coming

he's blaming it on the Dark Reunion!

he's very clumsy himself

so y'all are the clumsy couple

if it's not you getting hurt, it's him

but you both like to take care of each other!

he is a firm believer that kisses on the injury cure it and you can't convince me otherwise

I have a scenario in my head where more often than not, you've tripped and landed on Kaidou

poor boy has passed out more than once because of this

whether its because he landed too hard or because you're on top of him will remain a mystery

all in all, he tries to take care of you as much but is probably just as much of a klutz as you are

Favorite out of the main 6?

Easily Omori. He's such an interesting little fella...Any interpretation of him where he's not painted as a villain? The best shit ever. Give me more. I want more people taking in the idea that he's just doing his job instead of thinking he's purposefully hurting Sunny.

Omori redemption arcs? Sign me up. Hell, I'm technically writing one right now. My boy deserves so much better.

2. Favorite side/NPC character?

Honestly? The Maverick. He's funny as fuck. I love stupid chuunibyou archetype characters(one example is Kaido from Saiki K.), so that may be why. He's so pathetic. I love him.

Kim comes in at a close second, though. She doesn't say much, but you can tell she's a good friend to Aubrey.

5. Favorite photo(s) from Basil's album?

This was my Discord icon for about a month after I beat the game. Look at him...he is resting...do not disturb him...

17. Favorite boss fight?

Omori. Partly because I like his character, partly because the OST is so fucking good, but mostly because of just how impactful the fight is. It's a literal confrontation against Sunny's guilt, depression, and trauma, and depending on the ending, the catalyst for his eventual healing from said trauma.

It shows exactly how hard it is to fight against your depression, and the things that plague your thoughts throughout it, how easy it is to give up...The fact that you reach the bad ending by giving up upon defeat in the final phase says so much than it looks like it does.

The dialogue Omori gives you during the fight is often interpreted to be Sunny's depressive thoughts rather than his own words, and honestly? I agree. Seeing some of said dialogue myself made me think: "Oh, shit. I've thought those exact thoughts." Because that's what depression does to you. It deludes you into thinking the worst. It ruins you. It forces you to just die if you allow it to.

...And you can choose not to allow that. You can choose to keep going, to see your life through to where it should end, and not by your own hand.

And the sequence that plays after you do continue? Final. Fucking. Duet.

I'd be lying if I said this fight didn't make me cry. And I'd be lying even more if I said Final Duet didn't make me cry more.

As someone who's been suffering from depression for years, this fight's entire sequence means so, so much to me.

This game fucked me up, I swear. And that's a good thing.
