Ok wait so I need to know. How/when does Minato realize how messed up Team 4 is. Since he obviously get team reports from non kushina people he’ll realize how crazy this team is. But since he loves Kushina he’d be loable to take her word for it I’m assuming.

Is it around their chunin exam time or after that?

So, he's aware from the get-go that they're OP and are uuuh messed up in various ways. Like, he's friends with Mikoto and Fugaku so he is intimately aware that there's several things Wrong with Itachi. He's aware Deidara is an OP wildcard and that even if Tori very carefully seems average, there's no way there's not something wrong with her. He's aware both Deidara and Tori might turn out to be disaster they might have to, ummmm, dispose of. He is aware, when putting the team together, that Kushina is likely to imprint on them and they will likely be in his internal circle and if he DOES have to "dispose" of them that he'll upset his wife.

But also: he needs an OP team of children for the mission he wants to do, and Tori and Deidara very conveniently have the desired skillset and Itachi seems open to working with them. Kushina is an emotional person but she's also a professional ninja who acknowledges this is one of her "flaws" and that the team has its risks.

Then the Iwa missions goes to absolute shit and Team 4 just... deals with it. Turns out, any individual member of Team 4 deciding to go nuclear is devastating for a village. You don't need a whole army to fight the Tsuchikage, actually, you can just send this random genin. One genin literally just wanders into T&I and gets one of them to help her walk back out with Ibiki. Itachi also, just, can accomplish Kage-level feats? Apparently??? Like Minato know he was good but. But?! What???

And then the worst part is that this all occurs under circumstances which just make Minato like them. If they had done this almost any other reason he would be like "actually maybe we should put the breaks on this clusterfuck." But no. They decided to go nuclear because his beloved wife was in danger. Now the bias is so much worse and he's not going to do anything about it.

#minato's strategy as kage is that people are loyal to him because they like him #if he gets two bonus OP genin who only barely listen to him because his wife has emotionally adopted them then SO BE IT #reborn au

There are A LOT of time travel fix-it fics, but this isn't my favourite trope. That said, this post might be the only part of the recommendations for this section of Naruto fanfiction.

The snow, the birds, the trees, the people... They've seen all of it before, but they never interacted with such things. Like a child drawn to a starry sky, they just HAD to touch and look at everything. ﹞ ﹝Starlo turned back, chuckling and watching Kage quietly examine what looked like a mother bird leaving its nest to feed its chirping children. They looked so entranced in such a little thing, almost a bit too entranced.... The cowboy cleared his throat, Kage turning towards him and nodded. ﹞ « "Smallleee.... Birrdbbdb....s?" » Kage pointed at the next, causing Starlo to chuckle and walk over to get a better look. « "They're baby birds, Kage. I think they might be Chickadees? They could also be Flickers..." » Kage turned back to the baby birds, watching them chirp and cry out for the mother bird to return with their food. They feel... abandoned. « "We can go an' look at the baby birds when we're done with Dalvs', alright Kage?" » Their attention snapped back to Starlo, and they nodded with an unsure expression. The cowboy smiled and readjusted their grip on what looked like a small picnic basket. ﹝After a bit more walking, the both of them finally made it to where Dalv's house was. These awesome Shadouge fan children (Ruby, Topaz, Maria, Kage) belong to Aria!!

I can't believe it took me this long to draw these guys. I've loved them for a while now and they've been a massive inspiration for me in more ways than one! Out of all the gifts I drew this year, this was by far the most complicated. So many characters and so many colors!

Look at Topaz in the back, just chilling! I love her. So sorry she got kinda covered up, I didn't plan this as well as I could have. Also, I momentarily completely forgot about the girls' wings, so I hope they look okay.
