Me 'n my brother were joking about aa7 and here's our pitch for the game:

Every case has the defendant be a main character who hasn't been accused yet.

The game starts with Phoenix receiving a call at 1am where he is being demanded to go to the detention center right there and then. It's *dramatic reveal* Franziska von Karma. She's been accused of murder and she is outraged. And also intimidated the guards into allowing her to have a visitor at 1am.

2nd case is Apollo the man who thought he could get away with being part of the WAA and not being accused of murder.

3rd case? Klavier Gavin! Back to back the lawyers of aa4 get accused of murder :)

The 4th case is *trumpet sounds* Pearl Fey. This one is the most dramatic because PEARL? Our little Pearls? Not a single person thinks she actually did it but the evidence is overwhelmingly against her and it leads to some chaos

von karma's wife divorced him sometime after or in the year before dl6 because he was an abusive piece of shit

he kept primary custody of franziska because the courts are biased

their mom is a veterinarian

franziska has a much older brother, like 10 years older at least

franziska already having an older brother, specifically, would reinforce her calling miles her little brother

i imagine the older brother might've made those older sibling authority justifications specifically with "i was here first" and baby franziska just carried that logic over to miles

her teenaged brother chose to live with their mother

franziska stayed with them on some weekends and on vacations thanks to joint custody

her brother eventually works with horses

franziska bonds with him over horses and was a horse girl

that's where she got her riding crop

miles went with her a few times after being taken in, manfred likely treating it as a form of babysitting

miles named phoenix the dog, however indirectly

despite visiting it wasn't very often so he barely saw the rest of the family, and he was busy being traumatized so while i hc them as mostly good people they weren't able to get very close

franziska's mom used to be doing pretty badly w some maladaptive issues affecting her family but by the time of the first trilogy she's doing a lot better

von karma only knows about the dog because he still does obligatory family event stuff once in a blue moon and it's a matter of pride to monitor his own family closely

he probably keeps trying to exert influence over his son and gets limited grandchild contact as a result

a small part of his motives for raising miles as a prosecutor aside from revenge was to replace his son who failed to go into law

if you're wondering wait but he was a teenager remember franziska was on the verge of becoming a prosecutor at 13
