Ya know, Danny’s death could well be considered Manslaughter on the part of his parents. Manslaughter in Illinois is defined as either:

-The defendant knew or should have reasonably known that his actions could have lead to the death of the other party;

-The defendant's actions showed an apparent disregard for human life or were intrinsically dangerous; and

-The defendant's actions or failure of duty were the direct cause of the other party's death

The Fentons asked their 14-year-old to clean a lab full of hazardous and dangerous material without the proper equipment or training. The average person would therefore expect that Danny would somehow be harmed or even killed. They failed their duty as his legal guardians AND operated in a way that was intrinsically dangerous. By any definition, this was Manslaughter. Unfortunately, the maximum sentence for the crime of manslaughter is about 3-5 years. That said, because Danny is a minor and this is therefore also child endangerment, the charge could be upgraded to a class two felony with a maximum sentence of 7 years or 14 for an extended term. This would also invove a legal fee, a period of supervision for up to two years, and an investigation by CPS (who would ABSOLUTELY take Jazz and Danny away)

I want. Four to get appreciation. Because

Four gave a ton of unnoticed help when Twilight was injured

The fight with Wild was difficult, and I know we're all concerned about his negative view of the shadow crystal

But Four did something that no one else really thought of to help- He took care of Twi's stuff

From the beginning he told Twilight to not worry about them

So Four took care of pretty much everything but the others (that Sky and Wars handled)

He took care of Epona

Which is so very important- he took care of Twilight's horse. After her arrival at the stable Four followed up on her

And for Epona, a horse so attached to her human, having some company can help so much for reassurance

He took care of Twilight's stuff

He got Twi's shield- his bags and equipment, and organized it into one place

And he was worried. He obviously found the shadow crystal while handling Twi's stuff, but his negative reactions to it were out of concern.

Also- because of his placement in this scene

I'm fairly convinced Four was ready to start cooking before Wild showed up (since he's beside the counter with food supplies). At the very least he had the basket of fruit out for everyone -but he was literally standing with food behind him- he thought of everything

And he did housekeeping!

Wars payed for the inn, so Four took care of the inn

Realistically these boys were probably not too concerned with tidyness. Four got all of Twi's things on one table, and took care of the room they stayed in

Organizing tables and Twi's things, having food supplies ready, and opening the curtains- overall he was the one tidying up the inn

Four helped in a huge way! He took care of Twi's horse (Epona is so important), his equipment and shield and bag, as well as the other rooms in the inn

Four filled in all the little tasks that others didn't think of. He helped in ways that were needed, but not obvious

There's a lot of problems with the shadow crystal and with Wild, and I don't know what's gonna happen in the future

But don't forget this- don't forget that Four was one who stepped up in an almost unnoticeable way

Don't forget that when everyone was barely holding it together, Four visited Twilight's horse and took care of his things

No matter what develops in the future- this amount of care shown is important ya know?

underrated funny thing about lawlight is they never actually did get to confirm that 100% of the time they were basically thinking exactly what the other person thought they were thinking every single time

I LIVE for Nejis smile in the "Naruto, what would you do?" panel, my man nearly has his heart exposed via wound and he's out here still being philosophical and smiling. Idk hes really handsome there both in the anime and in the manga

There's a real sense of grace here ... I'm always thinking about how little it took for Neji to achieve this level of peace. I've said before on here that he's a very philosophically grounded character; he lives by a matter of perspective. We've seen other characters swayed by Naruto but rarely do they lighten up to quite the same degree. He's just a sweet guy under the trauma, you know? He wants to be happy.

#im watching a video about wario land music -> 'the bizarre music and sound design of wario land 4' by geno7 #good video so far! i like this guys stuff. he talked a bit about how they did some of the sound effects for warios voice #a very like. chopped and remixed sample style of doing his vocal lines. which is very cool 1) because it saves a bit of #precious space on that gba cartridge BUT ALSO 2) it just sounds cool and interesting stylistically #and man sometimes trying to keep a file size down really does give way for some really interesting stuff #on my own personal interests in games i ADORE rpg makers rtp and how people can find creative uses for it #i love that a bunch of games can draw from the same asset pool as one install on ur computer #no bloating your hardrive with a bunch of copies of the same assets - its just already here! #and from a developers perspective i love when they reuse old assets from other games in new weird ways #some small visual novel companies will reuse backgrounds and other assets #altho i dont mind a bit of bloat with VNs since a big draw can be the big pretty images and big pretty sounds #but its still cool when people find ways to get creative with space saving. and from a players perspective its also nice #space is cheap nowadays. but its not Free. we can swallow terabytes whole with micro sds and everything #but a lot of players dont get the chance or ability to upgrade their internal memory that often. so i think being considerate of filesize i #very important. and thats not even getting into the download bandwidth limits - a lot of people all across north america can only get like #internet from 1 provider and that 1 provider often likes to upcharge and limit shit because they can #we might live in a future where a lot of powerful technology exists. but access to that tech is another story #so remember the filesize. remember the filesize. #dies in your arms

(Although Frisk would definitely step in whenever needed, I tend to not add them mainly to avoid more work. Plus I like what you guys have to say! And in this case an anon pranking him to swear isn't all that important. Usually I just say Frisk is out adventuring or something but if you want more of them I can do that! I've been very slowly going back through Cyberpunk so I can play Phantom Liberty, and I got to this quest again.

In my headcanon, Johnny delivers this line slightly different from how he does in game. He doesn't outright say it, but he mentions he knows what Zoe endured as a child at the hands of her wealthy corpo-scum father. And since their personalities have begun to irreversibly merge, when Johnny rants about his crusade against the civilization that the corps have built, it also becomes a personal crusade to rid the world of her father. When he says "If I need your body, I'll take it", they both know he would absolutely wrench control away from Zoe if it meant he could use her hands to brutally murder the man that represents everything wrong with the world.

And this pisses Zoe off more than she's ever been angry in her life. Some of it no doubt fueled by the rage inside Johnny, but also because her feelings on the matter are deeply complex. And the idea of someone else peering into those moments she wants to bury and forget bring up horrible emotions that dwarf even Silverhands' most depraved destructive thoughts.

It's one of those moments that draw them closer together, but also drives them both deeper into their own darkness.

I've just been feeling really sad today, the kinda sad that just sinks into your bones and almost feels at home in your body. I miss NY; I miss my friends, I miss my independence, I miss my city, I just miss my old life. I'll go first, I don't mind saying when I was wrong. True, in the past I may have suggested that the vast majority of female characters in One Piece come off as ever so slightly, "leaning into sexist tropes with unadulterated joy; it's the misogynistic tropes equivalent of a child running naked through a grocery store. It's right there, everyone sees it, yet people shut up and continue shopping in part because, well, these days you just expect most people to cover that junk! What would you even say? And if you DO speak up and call out the inappropriate, be prepared for blank stares and tantrums; but THEY don't mind! THEY don't think it's wrong! You're just being mean!"

However, I see now that I rushed to judgement and the reality of the situation is far more nuanced. With that in mind, I was just wondering if someone could help answer some of the questions I have.

Like: Why does Oda believe that it's illegal for (maternal) female characters to survive other character's backstories?

More importantly, why hasn't someone just reached out to explain the misconception!? It can't be that difficult. If nothing else, just have a lawyer or judge or other expert in censorship on hand. Or is the one of those cases where back in highschool his friends made something up and then kept pretending it was real to see if he'd believe you and not only did he fall for it, it took over 20 years before he learned that, what, no that's not illegal. That would be crazy if it were an actual law. Cause you know, after the first 10 years I think yeah you have to just lean into it. Pretend it's a creative decision on your part and definitely not because you were terrified of being sentenced to a slow and humiliating public death.

Just to be clear that's definitely what's up, right? I mean, I'm struggling to think of another reason....able excuse why a story that I really enjoy keeps playing the same old sexist tropes cards again and again to the point of absurdity. It would just help if I had a valid excus- explanation. I almost mistyped the word explanation.
