what cici thinks about the other fnf characters because for me having him for two years I never really mention how cici would feel about the other canon characters

he would be a little scared mainly because of his uzis guns but when she realized he isn’t a bad person cici would actually find pico cool and wants to know more about him

she would definitely find those two adorable and would be excited about spooky month because Halloween isn’t really a thing on her home planet so hearing stuff about dressing up and getting candy sounds like a really fun thing to him

while cici wouldn’t really Interact with girlfriend parents he does find them interesting tho cici mother doesn’t really like mommy mearest (those two have some long history beef with each other) but her dad is pretty much chill with daddy dearest (those two are actually good friends and meet up with each other for a drink)

Yeah cici can’t stand him (if you know you know) plus he looks like her ex so cici wouldn’t really want to look at him without getting sick

Okay, i've decided that i'm just gonna drop/dump some lore on Vermin, so if you're interested, read below! It's really long!

Personality:

Like canon-Leo's head-cannons, Vermin hides his true emotions behind a smile, but their differences are in the execution. Vermin's smiles are more wicked, more cruel, and he find amusement in making people fear him, having experience in getting people to listen to him by intimidating them.

He pretends to be indifferent to how the brothers act around him, but always keeps an eye out for any signs that they aren't as they say they are. Donnie specifically.

Big emotions are a no-no, so he hides them behind a passive face, empty of anything he's feeling so he can convince those he's talking with that he feels nothing, that he is unaffected by any stressors and anxiety. If anything get's too overwhelming, he retreats to a hidden corner to wait it out and tries not to remember how Draxum treated him when he let his emotions get the better of him.

Because he was raise without certain privileges, he gets extremely giddy around new experiences, such as sampling new foods and trying out video games and skateboarding. It's probably the only time he lets his guard down because he's so entranced by whatever is happening he forgets that he's not supposed to be showing emotion.

Relationships:

Raphael:

With Raph, Vermin just doesn't know how to deal with him. An injury brings Vermin to the lair and Raph is the one who heals him, but Vermin in uncertain whether or not he can trust someone with such obvious strength he can easily use to harm Vermin. He doesn't understand why Raph is so kind nervous when he could dominate his enemies.

Michelangelo:

Mikey is the one Vermin accepts the easiest other than April. Mikey has a way to handle Vermin without being too invasive and without threatening the slider in any way shape or form and eventually shows Vermin that there is kindness that is not expected to be repaid. He also helps Vermin lean into his chaotic mindset without it becoming harmful to others, like teaching him how to prank the other brothers.

And of course, Vermin loves trying his food, so Mikey basically tempts the slider like he might a feral cat.

Donatello:

Donnie is the one Vermin has the hardest time accepting. He's convinced he can easily beat the soft-shell in a fight, but once he discovers that Donnie is a scientist, he becomes wary of him, skittish and uncomfortable whenever he's around. He knows that there are other ways to get someone to obey than simply fighting.

It takes Donnie being patient and showing him that he means no harm over time that earns his trust. The softshell just has to break through the notion that all scientist are evil and only seek to destroy that which is closest to them. Donnie even goes as far as to promise to never let anything happen to Vermin ever again.

April O'Neil:

The first one to show kindness when Vermin leaves Draxum's lab. She shows the slider a side of society that he was being deprived of when he was with Draxum, helping him see that there is a place for everyone, that things don't need to hurt to be beneficial. She pretty much forcefully adopts him as her little brother and is even protective of him when he interacts with her other brothers.

Baron Draxum:

Timeline:

Content Warnings: blood and injury, references to child abuse, loss of limb, needles, non-consensual drug use (kind of), non-consensual experimentation and surgery.

Age 0-4:

In the beginning, Lou Jitsu, later known as Splinter, only rescues three of the turtles, who eventually go by the name Donatello, Raphael, and Michelangelo. The remaining turtle, identified by his red markings, is picked up by Baron Draxum before the lab explodes, destroying his life work. The only remaining bit of his research is the tiny creature small enough in the palm of his hand.

Quick to find a place to stay and recover, the Baron begins working to piece together his research using his subject. He starts a book, scribbling down anything worth noting and refraining from any larger tests besides bloodwork and skin-scraping until the subject is larger, better able to withstand any more intrusive tests.

He begins raising the creature, claiming it as his own.

Age 5-8:

Called by the title Red, the slider reaches acceptable cognizance to begin training by the age of five. He is small, just below the Baron's knee, but he is intelligent enough to understand complex problem solving and language. Weapons training is less successful than desired, but that could be related to the subject's weaker limbs and child-like nature.

Baron Draxum is relentless in his education, always prepared to deliver swift punishment should Red be unable to comply with his desires. Red hates the punishment, often times covered in bruises from the extra training or with a headache from spending his nights in 'The Room,' but he is just as stubborn as his guardian, if not more so. He always seeks to make his boss proud, ignoring the voice that always tells him he's not strong enough, not good enough. Baron Draxum always has a reason for saying things like that, so Red knows he just has to try harder.

He's not exactly sure what a human is, but the Baron is convinced that he needs to kill them all.

Every other week, the Baron brings Red to another room where he 'collects samples.' Red doesn't know what they're for, but he's seen the elder gather some of his freshly peeled chutes and teeth when they fall off, always writing in that journal with a little turtle drawn on the front.

One night, when he's just turned eight, Baron Draxum leaves in a hurry. He's gone for hours, leaving Red to his own devices and wondering if maybe the yokai had finally got bored of him, wondering if he just left him behind because he couldn't satisfy him. Red tries not to listen to the little voice in his head that says maybe that's a good thing, maybe it's better if he stays gone.

Red doesn't see him until the next day, well into the night, and suddenly, he regrets ever thinking those nasty things of his guardian. The yokai is hunched by the door, missing an arm and looking very tired. Red runs to him, but the Baron doesn't even acknowledge him, holding a towel to his stump.

Red is crying. He knows he shouldn't, knows that tears mean weakness, but he's afraid for his boss, afraid of what is happening, because that's a lot of blood. He feels something well up in his chest as he sits next to his guardian, the feeling swelling into his lungs and arms, weaving through his bones and into his fingers, bright, blue light zapping over his fingers. Something guides his hand, pressing them against the yokai's injury and forcing the light into him.

He heals Baron Draxum.

Baron Draxum looks at him like he's solved the world's problems.

Age 9-10:

Test after test after test. Red is sure he's never been through so many tests, but he finally sees the Baron's pride and he wants to impress him, so he doesn't complain when the needle digs too far, or when the scalpel scrapes a little to much skin. This new power is good, that's all he knows. Baron Draxum calls it mystic energy, says that it was a power he was seeking all along, so Red doesn't complain when all of the test make him tired enough to pass out, or make him cry himself to sleep because his chest aches from how long he had to work. Baron Draxum is proud, proud enough to give him a portal sword and teach him how to use it, proud enough to hand him a pair of tonfa and guide him through the motions of building a shield, proud enough to smile when Red uses the kusari-fundo for the first time.

Red trains his new skill until he's sick, until he can't stand, until he can't feel the first time Baron Draxum uses that strange, green liquid on him.

Baron Draxum was proud.

Age 11-13:

Red is pretty sure his name isn't Red any more. It's Vermin. At least, that's what the Baron has started to call him.

Ever since he stopped being able to use mystic energy without fainting, Baron Draxum has stopped using that old name. Now he was a pest, a creature incapable of healing, or portaling, or simply making things float. He is weak.

Baron did something while he was sedated; took apart his plastron and looked around inside. Vermin thinks he was looking for what was so wrong with him, why everything the slider does ends up in failure. He now has a shiny new plate of metal on his chest and a paranoia of falling asleep.

He lost count the amount of times he was put to sleep, but every time he woke to something different, and injection of mutagen transforming his body while he was so out of it he couldn't even open his eyes. His toes and fingers become more flexible, grow sharp talons attributed to some sort of owl. His tongue becomes forked, able to scent things by merely breathing. His hearing and eyesight become sharper, a fox's DNA granting him night vision. He becomes stronger, faster, more agile, but it's never enough.

Vermin's starting to think that it never was going to be enough.

Vermin is awake when Baran Draxum puts in the ports, ignoring how painful it is and preferring to strap Vermin to a table while he digs into the slider's neck and arms, leaving six, shiny new devices embedded in his skin. The Baron has Vermin carry around a canister of green liquid on his back, a 'empyrean variant' he said, and with a click of a button, the canister sprouts tubes that dig into his ports, releasing the substance into his bloodstream. It hurts, floods his system with fire, but Vermin was used to pain. Now he just has a few more scars to show for it.

The substance grants him more power, more strength, more speed. His senses, already sharp, become that much more, overwhelming his sensory intake, but he learns how to fight past the side-effects. Missions outside of the lab become easier, training obstacles the Baron create become simple to dispatch, he always hurts but there is no other option.

It's always been the Baron and him, but maybe... maybe it doesn't have to be.

He's tired of hurting, tired to running himself to the ground, tired of covert missions that paint Baron Draxum as the ultimate threat when he's doing all the work, tired to sneaking around New York City in a futile attempt of gathering information that will likely never be useful. He tired of being compared to the experiments that didn't live through the first test, he tired of living up to a trio of dead beings that weren't even strong enough to compete with him. He tired to the punishments, of the bruises, of the empty room, of the nightmares, of the expectations.

He's just tired.

On the morning of his fourteenth year, Vermin comes to the conclusion that Baron Draxum isn't the be-all-end-all, that his ideals do not have to be his own. It fills him with a giddiness that leaves him trembling, his heart pounding.

In the middle of his fourteenth year, Vermin leaves.

Age 14:

The first person Vermin officially meets a human named April O'Neil.

Age 16:

...Vermin is starting to think his name was meant to be Leonardo all along.

{Eternal Servants AU} Nezha ♡ Loyalty

"That was all her fault for acting so disrespectful! And towards Master's name, no less!"

"I can't argue with that logic. But did you really have to punch her skull in before the torture even started?"

"Well, of course! Her presence was no longer welcomed the moment she called Master insulting names."

Macaque and Nezha were chilling in the torture chamber. The simian was sitting on a table with bloody tools while the celestial was cleaning up some of those tools with a towel. A deceased woman was strapped to the table in the middle of the room. Her skull was smashed, showing how mangled the remains of her brain looked as her head lied in a pool of her own blood.

Macaque sighed, "You can't just eliminate someone before we even tortured them, though. Even if they disrespected our Master while trapped here-" "That's just it! Our Master should always be respected and worshipped! They deserve nothing less than pure adoration!" Nezha cut him off, clearly angered. The dark-furred monkey raised an eyebrow at him, his tail flicking behind him at the surprise of Nezha talking back to him.

"Nezha, I get where you're coming from, I really do. I want our Master to always be respected and worshipped as well." Macaque started as he crossed his arms. "However, see it this way: Would you rather kill those who treated our lovely Master poorly, basically sparing them from pain, or would you rather let them serve their sentence by prolonging their suffering?"

The pink champion froze for a moment as he thought about the other champion's words... The simian was right. It would be a lot more satisfying watching the unworthy suffer by his hands than just simply killing them in one blow.

Nezha groaned as he quietly cussed to himself. Macaque had no problem catching him cussing and chuckled, his tail swaying for a moment in dark delight.

"Well, shit! Guess this is just a wasted kill after all!" The celestial exclaimed. He then heard the other servant 'tut' at him. Annoyed, Nezha turned towards the monkey, glaring.

"I wouldn't say it's fully wasted... This," the simian started as he hopped off the table and moved towards the table with the woman's corpse, gesturing towards her as he continues, "is still our dinner." If Nezha's pupils were visible, his eye roll would've been very much noticeable. He then followed the purple champion over to the table.

Macaque grabbed one of the knives on the way and chuckled darkly. He used it to smoothly cut into the woman's thigh, slicing a big chunk of flesh like a cake. More of the bit of blood she still had inside her body spilled out of the body's new wound and onto the table, the knife, and Macaque's hand. The simian then grinned and held said piece of meat out towards the pink champion. "Well? Go ahead, dig in. It's still fresh."

The pink champion, already used to it at this point, simply took the raw piece of meat and looked at it with a slight bit of disgust. He may have eaten a few remains raw before to prove his worth and loyal devotion to the other champions, but he still didn't exactly like the consistency of the meat. "Thanks... But I think I'll wait till it's cooked..."

The dark-furred monkey shrugged. "Suit yourself then," he said before he shoved the meat into his mouth, loudly chewing on his bloody meal as he already started cutting another piece of the woman's corpse. All while Nezha watched in silence. This little ritual the champions had of eating the remains of the tortured ones always reminded him of how he became his Master's servant himself.

It reminded him of that one demon village that was eradicated off the face of the earth. The huge pile of corpses Macaque made with the bodies of those villagers that disrespected and hurt their Master... And Nezha was the one tasked to set the pile ablaze. Back in that moment, he truly felt awful for taking the torch. But it didn't take long for him to actually enjoy the sight as his vision darkened. Especially once he saw his beloved Master in person again, this time becoming your pink champion. Your touch just felt so addicting to him, as if it was all he needed to forget all the bad he did. Your touch, your love and affection, was all he had ever craved...

No longer was there any guilt or regret. His Master was all that mattered to him. He felt pure happiness he had never felt in all his years of serving the Jade Emperor and the Celestial Realm...

Not that he remembered much about his so-called "past life" anyway.

Ever since he's become one of his Master's eternal servants, he practically forgot all about what his life was like before. He had very limited memories, of which only some were family-related, from when he was just born.

Suddenly, Macaque froze mid-bite. His ear twitched a little before he smiled brightly, joyfully devouring the meat and swallowing it quickly, placing the knife on the table. "Master is calling for me!"

And in a blink, the simian disappeared through a shadow portal that opened up right beneath him. Nezha sighed as he glanced at the corpse of the woman, placing the piece of meat from his hand onto her body. He probably would need to carry her remains to the fridge. After all, he didn't know when the others wanted to eat. He knew Wukong was busy with the palace's guards, Macaque was now gone to answer to their Master's call, and Nezha himself didn't know what to even do. He didn't have any tasks besides torturing that woman, and that already ended extremely prematurely due to his outburst.

"Ugh, fuck! I knew I shouldn't have killed her yet!" He grumbled angrily as he took the knife Macaque used to cut her, and proceeded to stab the corpse's neck in rage. He grumbled out more curses as he twisted the knife around the woman's neck in annoyance. A few minutes passed before he heard a shadow portal open up again. He turned towards it, out came the purple champion again. The simian was about to say something, but then paused and pursed his lips at the sight of Nezha moving the knife inside the woman's neck.

"...You're not supposed to play with your food, pinky. Didn't your friends up in the Celestial Realm ever teach you that?" Macaque teased with a smirk.

The pink champion scoffed in response, pulling out the knife from the woman's neck before slamming it back down, but this time into her eye. Due to his sheer strength, he easily smashed it through part of her skull as well, seemingly ignoring her destroyed eye on the way as her body seemed to weep more blood. "I'm aware of the saying. But what else am I supposed to do? I'm bored!"

Macaque huffed, grinning as he approached the celestial with crossed arms. His tail swayed gently behind him. "If you're bored, then you're in luck! I have a task for you. A very important one..."

Now, due to Macaque having to leave for a mission, Nezha was suddenly happy again. Not necessarily because of the simian being gone, but because of how the celestial was tasked to watch over their Master. Alone. The other champions were busy after all, so their beloved Master needed someone to fill the bodyguard slot for a while. Master's security ink wasn't enough for the monkey brothers. So, Nezha was tasked to be your bodyguard for the time being. And he was ecstatic everytime he was tasked to stay around you. Sure, being bodyguards is like the usual job the champions had signed up for, but Nezha had you for himself in his moment. No other champion could take your attention.

He was standing next to your throne as he stared at you with a soft, loving gaze. You could practically see little hearts floating around his head as his focus stayed solely on you. You looked at him as you hummed in thought. While you didn't mind staying on your throne, you also didn't expect any meeting today. Perhaps you could do something else. You haven't had any alone time with Nezha in a while anyway. And having him stare at you like that for the next few hours wasn't exactly the most entertaining thing. "Sooo... Do you wanna walk around the palace?" You suggested.

Your pink champion seemed to have been caught off guard as he sheepishly nodded. "That would be a wonderful idea, Master. Don't worry, I'll keep you safe the entire time!" He added proudly. You couldn't help but chuckle at his eagerness as you stood up and gently took his hand into yours. Your touch made him smile brightly beneath his mask as he stayed close to you, all while you lead him out of the throne room and down the hall, enjoying your conversation with him. Occasionally, there were a few servants on the way, who all bowed to greet you, but the halls were generally pretty quiet today.

However, that was only until you walked through the activity wing.

There was a sudden bang that startled you and your champion. Nezha quickly recovered from his startled confusion as he took up a more defensive and protective stance, summoning his fire-tipped spear to his side as he shielded you with his body. The loud bang came from down the hall in front of you. When the doors to the library swung open, they swung so strongly that they slammed against the wall, nearly ripping them off their hinges. And out into the hall came a furry beast with six legs. It growled as it moved menacingly out of the library. Then it turned a bit towards you and Nezha... Its four eyes seemed to focus on the celestial in front of you, sensing his energy specifically.

You knew this beast... It was the beast from a book you once read. It was known to be a form of Celestial Hunter. Not much was known about them, other than that they would lure divine entities by copying the voices or looks of someone they love and trust. They would then either  bite and infect, or straight up feast on the victim. However, this beast was seen as just simple fiction... How was is real? Where did it come from?

The beast then tried to appear more friendly as it tilted its head at Nezha. Since the celestial already saw its real form, it probably would be unable to get away with a disguise. However, it seemed to have a plan B...

"Nezha? Is that you?" The beast asked in a female voice you didn't recognize. But Nezha did... It was his mother's voice. He gripped his spear tightly, his eyes widening just slightly.

"...Mother?"

The beast doesn't move as it stares at Nezha, lowering its head a bit to try lower his guard. It was trying to get him into a false sense of security.

"Yes, it's me... My son, what happened to you? You don't look so well... We have to leave and get you out of here. This place isn't safe. Come with me, Nezha... Please, come with me... There is so much darkness here... It's so dark here..." As much as it seemed tempting to follow these voice's instructions, Nezha also was fairly aware of the ominous looking creature the voice was coming from. This wasn't any simple demon. Yet, he couldn't help but shake just slightly at the voice of his mother...

That's when he felt you lightly squeeze his hand with yours, bringing him back to the current situation. He glanced behind him to look at you and saw your worried, helpless expression...

He knew he would be a fool if he ever let that... that thing lure him away from his Master...

The temptation to be lured closer to the beast was now gone as quickly as it came, simply replaced by thoughts of his beloved Master. Nezha glared daggers at the beast. He was stronger than whatever it would throw at him. He knew it. And so did you... And he refused to disappoint his beloved, his true Master.

Your pink champion refused to be manipulated so easily.

Not when he had a job to do.

Not when this job involved serving you.

He was one of your champions for a good reason, after all.

The beast seemed to notice the way the celestial seemed more in focus again, and it quickly realized that he couldn't be tricked like its previous victims. So, it dropped its friendly act and let out a loud, hungry screech before it sprinted in his direction. Nezha, with his extreme speed, let go of your hand and swiftly attacked it with his fire-tipped spear, using his now lit up wheels for an extra boost as he stabbed the beast. He grunted in rage as the beast tries to attack him now with the close range. However, he dodged most of its bites and swipes with ease, using his strength to try bend one of its legs and break it. Only to then realize that it didn't have bones...

Nezha seemingly narrowed his void black eyes at the beast as he let out a low growl behind his mask... If he couldn't make it suffer with broken bones, surely tearing it apart limb by limb would work...

Thus, he held tightly onto his spear, making its flame light up more inside the darkened beast. The fire seemed to be its weakness as it began to let out a painful, or rather, seemingly scared screech. However, it was clear to him that it would not go down without a fight as it continued to claw at him. Yet everytime it would claw at him, he held his cold, angered gaze as he started to rip out the leg that it would use to attack. Despite it having no bone structure, it did seem to at least have some form of nerves. The darkened beast seemingly screeched in agony as Nezha managed to rip off one of its limbs.

The beast attempted to get away from Nezha, but he held his tight grip on his spear, refusing to let that thing go unpunished for what it tried to do... How dare it try lure him away from you, his Master...

Upon noticing the beast's attempt to flee, Nezha let out a maddening laugh as he twisted and turned his spear. The fiery tip moved from one side to the other as he enjoyed the beast writhe in pain beneath him. The celestial then slammed his flaming wheels into the beast's chest, letting its fire damage the beast as well. As he noticed a now giant, gaping hole that went through the beast's entire body, he notice how everything inside it was nothing but mass of what its outside was made out of. But it did hold some veins that glowed a very faint red, which were as red as its blood red eyes.

He scoffed as he slammed the beast onto its side, watching it lose its strength. "Ah, got it. You're one of the Oracle's friends, aren'tcha? Well, at least part of whatever the hell he is..." Nezha slammed his fire-tipped spear down into the beast's neck as he let out another painful wail in agony. The pink champion chuckled darkly as his fire spread inside the beast's body. He could practically see his flames glowing past its darkened shell of a body.

"But whether friend or foe, you just attempted a crime so outrageous, it must be punished by nothing less than death..."

Finally, he pulled his spear out of its neck and slammed it into one of the beast's eyes, stabbing it straight through its "skull" with a mocking grin underneath his mask. Just like how he stabbed that woman's corpse earlier... Soon, the beast fully collapsed and stopped moving as the fire inside its body finally seemed to spread to the outside. Nezha made sure it's dead with some extra stabs before he huffed in annoyance. "...Weak. That wasn't even half a challenge."

As he got off the beast's corpse with his spear in hand, the beast's remains suddenly turned into a black, still somewhat burning puddle on the floor. Then it hardened once more, stopping the fire, before finally turning into some form of black dust that easily spread all over the ground with minimal wind around.

Nezha scoffed at the sight before he moved back over to your somewhat shaken form. Though, you looked more intrigued by what just happened. "Master, are you alright? It didn't hurt you, did it?" He asked with sudden concern as he inspected you for any wounds, cupping your cheeks.

"I'm fine, Lotus Dork", you said a bit muffled as he had his hand on your cheeks, squishing them just slightly, looking at you. He sighed in relief as he blushed a bit at that nickname, letting go of your cheeks. But then he noticed you frown at the sight of his own wounds. There wasn't many or even deep wounds, but he did get a few puncture or claw wounds on his skin. On closer inspection, you could see some black inside his wounds. Probably tiny bits from the beast's body.

"Don't worry, Master! It'll heal itself!" He quickly said. You hummed for a moment before taking his hand and practically dragging him down in the direction you came from earlier. He blinked in surprise as he blushed in embarrassment. It probably looked funny to passing servants, just seeing how easily you dragged your pink champion around, when he could just stop moving. But you were his beloved Master, the one in charge of him and his body. Whatever you wanted to do with him was law. But he was still curious. "Master- Where are we going?"

"To the med bay, duh." You said as you pouted at him, still dragging him along like a dog on a leash going to the vet. "I want to have your wound at least disinfected before anything happens."

Nezha chuckled under his breath, which was even more muffled due to his mask. "As if that could happen twice..."

After you forced him to have his wounds cleaned and bandaged, you asked him to take off his mask for a moment. As he did what you requested, you kissed his cheek, right where his old wound was. He blushed as he felt you reward him for taking action and staying by your side.

There was nothing he wanted more than you.

Hey !!! first of all thank u so much, that’s really sweet! And yes I do !! Sorry this took so long to answer I wanted to make a big master post :)

so first of all and as a little disclaimer, the bulk of this project is on hiatus while I work on my video game Last Sprout. (more info on that here!) But I’ve been adding little bits to it every now and then, and still been doing stuff like swordtember to flesh out the worldbuilding! Also a lot of this is quite old (some stuff from about 2020) so excuse if the art and writing is of,,, poorer quality than my recent stuff.

Imma be real im a little disappointed with this event, idk like, the minimes dont sit right with me, even on a meta level, and it was just so. Idk. For something so hyped it didnt even give us that much information tbh :(

yeah it's not my favorite. i think the minimes are, in terms of features, still too close to the eggs, even if they aren't meant to be, and this really didn't actually give them info on stuff they were already investigating, just new shit to be confused about. which has been a problem in the past with events, where instead of actually getting more info on what they're already looking into they just get inundated with more new lore to worry about.

idk i think cellbit's right that things are ramping up to be more conflict oriented and less investigation, so maybe these will be for like. fighting a big war against the feds? or the other entity??? i really do not know i don't understand what the point of these is in a lore sense and i find this a really weird and disappointing thing to happen while the eggs are still missing.

i think we're also getting to a point where if the eggs really are coming back, which i really hope they are both because i like them and because i think a lot of ccs will lose some motivation to come on without them or even the hope of getting them back, they need to come back soon. like, as soon as twitchcon is over, or maybe once forever comes back. and otherwise, if they aren't coming back, that needs to be made clear. but right now we've got vague clues and nothing solid and people have already done their grief arcs for the most part and now are just kind of. floundering without knowing what else to do without their kids. even new people who didnt have kids are floundering because everything is about the eggs and now their absence.

like i do think they'll at least get the chance to save them, because otherwise the static images and messages and everything make no sense, but i just think this arc is getting old and we all really just want the eggs back. and that also makes the minimes seem like a really weird thing to suddenly throw in.

idk admins have managed to turn my opinion on other things they tried out that i didn't like at first, but this one is just really weird and im not a big fan. we'll see, though.

An adopt is a pre-designed character that I create, and you can ‘buy’ to be able be able to use and claim as your own character. Of course, since these are splatoon based I’m not selling the concepts of splatoon, just the idea and design of the character itself.

Once you buy the adopts, they’re yours. You’re welcome to redesign, alter, give away and/or trade as you see fit. The only thing I don’t allow is reselling for a higher price (same or below is fine).

Though these are meant to be splatoon adopts, you’re welcome to use them for any setting that you please! They’re not inherently limited to splatoon; especially the more unique characters.

The placeholder names, personality, and info are just.. placeholder/concepts! You can name them whatever you want, give them any pronouns, personality, lore, whatever! I won’t feel bad lol

spooky season starts somewhere around the last week or two of September

which means your little cousin is already listing off the different things she wants to be for Halloween

it's like this every year, but since Jisung absolutely folds for the little tyke, he will sit with her on the couch and start having a whole-ass convo about costumes

"A fairy warrior dragon princess?!" He'd balk back, eyes comically wide as she hides her face with her hands and shakes her head

"No!! A fairy dragon warrior princess!"

yes, yes, you must get the title right!!

you've made her costumes ever since she started going trick-or-treating, so you're more than ready to take on her mighty requests

Jisung will too, of course! Even if he knows nothing on the topic of sewing or crafting costumes

he's good with being an assistant; taking measurements and pinning fabrics, keeping the little menace occupied when you need to really focus

when the day finally comes, your little cousin is wearing the costume All. Day. No ifs, ands, or buts about it!

doing her makeup is a chore when she's so excited and happy with the way her costume turned out

You need Jisung to hold her while you add little dragon scales to her face, near her temples and her cheeks. Little freckles over the expanse of her nose for the whimsy fairy look

it takes you like 45 minutes just to do that with a squirmy 6-year-old, but she's even more giddy at the final product so it's worth the struggles

you and Jisung are also in character, it's only fair that you two choose to be the side characters to the main character, so naturally, Jisung wanted to be a knight; fiercely protecting his little princess from the evil ghouls and spooks in the shadows of her kingdom.

"We need a healer, and if you have magic it means you can heal anyone who gets hurt real bad!"

you couldn't argue there! So now you both stand in your garbs...

Jisung with his shield and sword, wearing a flowy top that's tucked into thrifted navy slacks that you added some little charms to. Black calf-high boots. And of course, his crown that your cousin insisted on since he's always the King in her eyes

and you with your cloak draping your shoulders, hiding the wares that cling to the belt around your waist beneath. shimmering makeup - again, upon your cousin's request, "You gotta look super cool or nobody will believe you're a big, bad healer!"- and fangs because... obviously it's for the coolness factor

you leave the house around 6pm because your sub-division starts handing out candy early for the youngsters

your little cousin is much less the concoction of chosen fantasy characters and very much a jumping bean as she scuttles down the sidewalk

Jisung is consistently trailing behind her, reminding her not to run too far ahead, to which she replies that she's part dragon and nothing can take her down when she breathes fire

"But your costume is blue and green, Princess!" Jisung says, and you grin at the way he holds himself, a gloved hand settled upon the handle of his sheathed sword

always in character, he is...

"I'm a dark dragon so I breath blue fire! It's important for the story, Sung-Sung!" She calls over her shoulder, racing towards the first house on the block

yells the loudest trick or treat on the block at every door

asks everyone if they like her costume and that it's custom made. She's so proud when she tells people she came up with it

she tells everyone she comes across about how she became a fairy dragon warrior princess, and the important info that she thought up in her character backstory and lore

sometimes she's so excited that you and Jisung have to remind her to say thank you for the candy

or one of you say it for her if she's already racing to the next house

after an hour of chasing her, Jisung is picking her up when he's getting tuckered out

she whines until he mentions a piggy back ride, those brown eyes are sparkling with joy at the prospect

jokingly uses his shield as she clings to his neck

giggles for days, right there

thirty minutes goes by and suddenly she's asking if she can have a piece of candy

so you take the time to stop, let her pick out her choice in candy, and open it to check for any tampering before she's able to pop it into her mouth

cue the happiest little wiggles as she scampers off to the next house

cue you and Jisung racing after her, exasperated by her antics

you're questioning how 6-year-olds are so fast with their short little legs like wtf

by 8pm, she's getting tuckered out from her running about and you're almost through the entire sub-division

you three finish the last six houses, minus one that's already lights out for the evening, and make your way back to your house with a hefty bag of candy

she gets too tired, so you pick her up for the walk home

Jisung takes the bag of candy, promising to protect it from any sneaky hands

a nap is enough to suffice her on the walk home and once you're back, she's asking for more candy

so again, you sit down in your costumes while your little cousin spins around in her little dress with the dragon tail out the back to go through the candy that could've been tampered with

every piece that's checked is placed in a Halloween bowl that's in her reach, and she sticks a tiny hand in to grab for her favored goodies

"Not too many, now! You'll be bouncing off the walls all night!" You tell her, and she hands you one of your favored candies like it'll butter you up into letting her have free reign of the candy bowl

it doesn't...

okay, three candies turns to five...

but that's it!

once you and Jisung finish going through the candy, you all get out of your costumes and freshen up, slipping into some cozy pajamas

you end the night by watching one of her favorite Halloween movies, all cuddled up on the couch with some snacks and definitely not some extra candy

i have a bit of a long answer to this, so i hope you don’t mind me replying as a post, just in case anyone else is curious

the tl;dr is: i'm planning to write a fic for this AU, but i'm happy to read your fic as well with proper credit

first thing is: i’m overjoyed by the positive response to this little AU! it’s definitely been occupying my mind as i’ve been studying (Eclipse is notably the most distracting) so i’m glad there’s an interest in such a simple premise—i was honestly hesitant to call it an AU at first by how simple an idea it is

that being said, i’ve been hinting at it a bit in some of my tags, but i am planning to write a fic for this AU it’s still in the planning and drabble stage, but there is definitely a story that i’m hoping to share. unfortunately, i am currently attempting to speedrun a 2 year program, so my time is short—and my leisure time is split between my other competing ideas and inhaling other people’s creative works to revive me after my daily readings

i will say that the AU has evolved quite a bit since my initial drawings—new designs, more background info, and a healthy dose of lore and trauma for the entire main cast—so there’s a lot i’m excited to share with you all

THAT BEING SAID, i am always eager to encourage other people’s creativity and i am so honoured that my little doodles can inspire people to be creative. so i would absolutely love to see your fic, i just ask that you:

there will be a Y/N, and Y/N has some lore, but other than some key backstory and key areas of development, i try to keep them gender neutral and as ambiguous as possible

thomas hewitt with an s/o with ADHD :

thomas is someone that gets very focused on their work. whether he’s playing the role of butcher, or helping out around the property, he tries to stay pretty zoned in on whatever he’s doing. that’s mostly because he works with big sharp things 90% of the time, but that’s besides the point-

it took him some time getting used to you. don’t get him wrong, he was never frustrated or anything with you, it’s just that it was a different perspective he wasn’t accustomed to. where as he’d choose one thing to do at a time, he’d look over at you and see that you were juggling three different tasks at once, and yet hadn’t gotten a single done.

he was also new to having someone talk to him so much. while he’d be downstairs in the basement, carving some questionable meat into steaks and strips, you’d be sat right there with him, talking about your favourite show and going in depth on the lore.

he enjoyed it, though. he was much calmer and quiet than you, and you brought an energy to him that he couldn’t quite understand. something about how you ranted, and got so invested in things, and were always coming up with something new to do- he loved it. every day there was something else you were showing him. he got excited to see what you’d tell him about next.

overall, he just liked having someone excited to be around him and share in their life. every new hobby, every new thought, every thing you found interesting; he got to hear about these things. you chose to open up this way to him. he loved it. he loves you.

there were a few downsides. for example, you were quite forgetful. but, this was easily remedied. you two had started leaving notes for each other. you’d draw a little doodle and stick it to his axe or chainsaw or something before he began working, and thomas would ride short reminders about things you needed to get done that day.

if thomas knew you had something important to get done, he’d always make sure you did it. it didn’t matter what you were doing, if there was a deadline, you were meeting it. he wanted to be as helpful as possible with you. sometimes you’d be in the middle of procrastinating, and he’d come and throw you over his shoulder, whisking you off to finish whatever you needed to get done. but don’t worry, once you were finished, he’d make sure to shower you in affection for a job well done.

he knew sometimes you got very overwhelmed. he was new to that. especially since his house tended to be such an overwhelming place on its own. he had learned to zone it out, but you- you were new to it all. he often had to take you for breaks, sitting up in his room all alone while you relaxed against him and let yourself breathe. during these times he’d stroke your hair, and let you just vent about how you were feeling. he’d always try his best to listen and understand, and even help when he could.

he’s very supportive. he just wants you to be happy. you’re the only person that ever treated him this well, flaws and all, and so he wanted to do the same for you. whether it was the good, the bad, or the ugly, he was there for you. besides, to him, there was nothing wrong with you. you were perfect.

Alright so here's an explanation of what this Au's about

So Caine, the Ringmaster ai of this cursed and overestimating circus, happens to be programmed to not accept any romantic interactions between the participants, aka the players that are trapped here, because no online dating since this was originally a computer game before these guys got trapped here! Unfortunately, that leads us to both Zooble and Gangle. The two ended up developing feelings for each other and kept their relationship secret from everyone.

Suddenly, Zooble realizes something's Amis. Gangle seemed more frantic and nervous for almost a whole month, like she was hiding something. Finally, some time after their adventure, Zooble goes to Gangle's room to ask if she's alright and it is then when Gangle immediately grabbed them saying "We need to talk!" Her voice sounding serious and she told them about.....A child?

The main premise is that Gangle, and Zooble keep this child between them and only them. They've managed to keep her secret for 6 years now, her being 6 years old, but eventually when Pomni arrives there's a possibility their secret could be uncovered, especially now that the child wants to explore their surroundings outside of Gangle's room.

BASIC NEED-TO-KNOW INFO

Bion and Bryne are the same person. Bryne is the person/version of himself when he was alive, and Bion is the spirit that remains after death.

I just wanted to clarify this as this can be something that is easily mistaken if you see me draw them at different times/in different posts, sense at first look they can seem like completely different characters.

In my interp of abibaz, it takes place somewhere in the 90's, so that is also where his story takes place.

BASIC LORE (quick/low effort summary)

Bryne is a poor-ish guy living on his own and looking for a job and in some way ends up applying as an IT guy for the school. He applies for this job because it somewhat relates to his huge interest in computers, and he is already desperate enough for any job so this place seems perfect for him so far.

Upon entering the school for the first time, he can immediately tell something is off. He cant place his finger on exactly what it is but it does raise some red flags for him. Even so, he continues on for his interview and gets hired yadda yadda I dont really know how to explain that part and its not important.

Though, adding to his suspicions about this place, he has to meet and be around Alex now. I dont know how to word it in a good way, but basically he thinks Alex is a massive freak.

As time goes on, he gets more and more curious about what is happening in the school. Kids keep going missing, if there is any at all, and the place constantly smells like iron and rot. Bryne tries to research about the school online, trying to find any documents or reports about the school, like possible crimes that happened or any leads on the disappearances, but keeps coming up empty-handed.

This leads Bryne into a spiral, he keeps trying and trying to find information, it just seems right out of his reach. He spends most of his time at work in his own classroom, in the back with his personal computer most of the time because of this. That computer is like a sort of personal companion to him now, with how much time he has spent there alone with it.

Alex is aware of Bryne's researching, and after a while started to have his own fun with him. Setting up red herrings and letting information slip as a way to reel Bryne back into a game he almost had set up from the start.

Anyways, as time goes on Alex starts to get bored of this, and decides one night to finally get some real enjoyment out of this.

He was ready. The clock seemed to tick exceptionally slow that day, there was nothing different about that day from the rest, all but that usual feeling of dread seeming to hang heavier on Bryne's shoulders.

Alex slinked into his room, looming over him just watching him before making his presence known. He just started talking to Bryne, placing a hand on his shoulder and getting close to his level. Bryne could sense that something was wrong with this little meeting of his, though he did this type of thing this one felt wrong.

Bryne started to head out of his room and to the exit doors, hurrying his pace as he got further away from his room. Though when he finally reached the exit, he found the doors to be locked. No matter how much he tried he couldn't get them undone. He was now stuck here, unsure as to why. He started to panic, Bryne had always been weary of Alex, and now his suspicions have been proven. He was stuck there with a monster.

Now, I dont feel like I have the capability or patience to write the whole next segment, but to quickly summarize it: Bryne gets fucking hunted and chased through the school, becoming exhausted and more panicked over time and ends up heading back to his room, then Alex corners him there and kills him by giving him so much blunt force trauma to the face through smashing his face into a computer screen. yay!

Anyways, after this there is a week period(important) of time where he is dead, his body rotting away, semi-untouched. Bion apears within one of the computers as, well, him, and has to re-learn what it feels like to exist again along with his newfound unstable emotions and overall physical form.

He now has a hatred for Alex that burns brighter than the sun, and in simple terms is extremely violent over even the mention of him.

I'll add more onto Bion's way of processing thought and emotion later, but it is a pretty key part in everything he does. He is extremely impulsive.

MORE ON BION

Bion is a massive recluse, hiding away in his computer most of the time, rarely ever coming out. The computer is his safe space, leaving it even voluntarily causes him to get horribly stressed. The only times he ever fully leaves is when he is driven by an extreme emotion. (usually anger)

Touching him is most times lethal, he is electrically charge. Holding onto him or touching him in general causes a feeling of numbness after a period of time, intensity varying on his emotion and the time touching him. (it feels like when one of your limbs falls asleep, but a bit more painfull)

GAME MECHANIC

If Bion was ever added in game, or if I felt like ever attempting to mass mod the game, his mechanic would be to locate Alex.

He would be a (mostly) neutral character, helping the player by showing where in the map Alex is with a pop-up map. It would only be accessible in his room. Along with this Alex would be unable to enter the room at all, but he could just camp at the door and completely trap you, so it would be wiser to be quick while in Bion's room.

Bion's room is also located in a semi-inconvenient spot, near the end of a very long corridor with the only exit down that hallway being one of the rooms with a red key required door. (I'll add a map of where his room is later)

He also has the chance of being a hostile character too. If you provoke him with enough questions about himself, his past, speak of Alex, or bring a special item to him. Any of these will result in him killing you instantly, or becoming one of the hostile character that chase you in the game from that point on.

I also have an idea with him for an Easter egg ending that is related to his lore, but i have to do some more developing on it before I explain it to the public.

EMOTIONS (?)

Because he is a spirit now, his reactions and emotions are alot more raw and intense, causing him to lash out often or go into violent spirals. He is his greatest enemy. (other than Alex)

His most common emotion that happens is rage, appearing whenever his mind starts going down a path of thoughts about how he was wronged, and the monster that he was wrongfully made into.

His rage and his fear of new things causes him to become more of a recluse than he already was. He cant even go out of his classroom without being reminded of how he was made into such a beast.

Bion can still feel and react like a normal person, and is still somewhat the same man he was. Whither that is good or bad is for you to decide.

The way he comes off when not in any fit of emotions is more flat and mechanical, being inside machinery for so long has changed the way he talks a bit, becoming more formal and thought out.

For an update (mostly) meant to flesh out the Ancients/The End, they still seem not all that memorable or compelling from what little I've seen. They're just as much as plot devices masquerading as (bland) characters as Sage still is. The plot EXPECTS me to care, but I just cannot because the lore/exposition in this game is soooo dull when it's not wholly confusing. And I gotta ask, is any of it gonna matter in future games? Does anyone really approve of this shite whilst still bemoaning how unnecessarily convoluted Shadow's backstory was? That for a supposed big threat, it all still took place on some small-scale remote islands? This stuff should begging for a retcon. Guess that'll be up to me. Hint: Fairy dust made it all seem real to both the heroes and Eggman. And the Kocos are Accidental Antagonists to have put them through all of it because they don't remember their true history on the islands...

The question of which ending is canon is up for debate, but personally I think this one is going to cause more problems long-term. I literally started yelling at the side story when Sage said the Ancients had satellites that are still functional.

Tens of thousands of years old, still orbiting, functional, and NO ONE HAS NOTICED THEM? This is the world that had a SPACE COLONY 50 YEARS AGO and they NEVER asked what these old satellites were?? Like man, if we discovered ancient satellites circling our planet, there would be some paranormal podcasts talking about this "unknown" and obscure fact, but here no one has noticed?

Also extremely disappointed they did nothing to expand on The End. If anything, this is regression from base game because it's missing that pretentious speech. I wanted to know WHY this consumer of worlds was specifically chasing the Ancients. If it's just supposed to be symbolic, then that was completely lost on me.

I'm with you on the not being able to care part. I'm not bonded to these characters and the short cutscenes around the trials doesn't change anything about the pilots. It's just "WE DIED TO CONTAIN THIS THING AND YOU SET IT FREE-- oh you passed my brute strength trial. K guess you're a good guy." Sonic gets some sass with the King Koco, but it also feels...off. It's not his normal disrespect towards authority.

To go on another tangent, the opening cutscene bothers me.

Sonic isn't the person to give a "rally the troops" speech. Although, how this scene was written made that direction the ONLY way it could've gone.

I think of the Last Story cutscene from Heroes. Sonic just listens.

When he says he'll fight Metal Overlord, it's Tails and Knuckles that pop up to say "we're going to help you!" and Shadow that says they'll buy them time.

Sonic doesn't ask anything from anybody, he just graciously accepts their help. Compare how this was written to sticking Sonic in a place where he's the one who has to explain what's going on and tell others what he needs.

It's a case where the plot moves the characters and not the characters moving the plot, which is the perfect storm for OOC moments. That is exactly what happened with Eggman when they decided Sage was a good idea.

Sage just regurgitates random info about rocks and other stuff no one asked about, like there was ONE LINE where she sounded kinda different which made me think it would've been so good if Sage was more like GLaDOS. I want her to have more sick burns. But no, innocent child because Eggman "needs" a daughter and Sonic has to have a reason to help the girl that's been trying to kill him the whole game.

I don't understand how anyone can call this "peak" because it's just so self-important and straight-faced serious, it's at the point of monotony. It breaks what I like about these characters to wrap them up in a "serious story" blanket whilst failing to properly build up the threat.

I hope they reevaluate their choices and this isn't really the standard moving forward because it's so stupid it hurts. And that's just the story/lore.

ah the first boss. Attacks the same way, same health, same everything. The only difference is phase 2. After phrase too, instead of being repeat, he ends up chasing you throughout the level, until you reach to the end. There is obstacles, like slopes.

He has a tail mace, uses to hit the player, depending on which area platform he own.

Duel is different here, if you manage to get in this, you get a bar. you basically have to press a certain key repeatedly until your bar fills up, which causes back up giving you a chance to attack him

The armor starts falling piece by piece as his health goes down.

no not in this battle, but you'll have to fight him again later, which fulfills that chase part. in story wise, he was going to get in trouble the further he continue this fight because he fought you without listening to orders.

Lore long story: Centuries ago, Dr Pizzaman and Peppino's ancestor used be lab business partners and close friends. They specifically create medicine, drugs and cures together. Machinery counts too. pep's ancestor was known to be friendly, awhile pizzaman was something. The two was popular amongst the other scientists, and was used for most operations and awards. One day, the two was challenged to a contest of machine curing process, by doing it separately. The two accepted the challenge. Pizzaman thinks he's going to win, as pep's ancestor just took his time. Then the contest arrived, as the two show off their machines. Pep's ancestor showed off his machine, it could cure multiple symptoms, preventing some terminal diseases and its a painkiller machine. Pizzaman creates a machine that only cures one strong disease. Result came in, Pep's ancestor won the contest, which caused Pizzaman to be pissed and felt like he was robbed. Pep's ancestor shared his happiness and shared he liked his machine, but Dr. Pizzaman decided he wasn't going to be his friend no more because he didn't win. Then he left. Pep's ancestor was kind of upset about this but move on later, continuing creating medicine, drugs, cures and machines, by himself now. One night later, the laboratory they worked at was slowly getting more emptier and quieter. Pep's ancestor questioned where was everyone, and begin to look (awhile carrying a flashlight.) He found out people was getting murdered one by one. He followed a saw blood trail, begin following it, and leading to cooking area. He saw a spell book, ingredients, cauldron, etc. He found out there's witchcraft going on around here, before he know it, he hears familiar voice. "looks who went looking for his own death." he turns around, realizing it was ex-friend, Pizzaman. Pep's Ancestor begins questioning him about everything, until Dr. Pizzaman admit he used witchcraft to kill people he hated, and he was next. Before he tries to kill pep's ancestor, he decided to curse him with eternal generational bad luck, can't do nothing in peace, and finally, no generations will ever have the same intelligence as him or ever able to become scientist (he makes sures they fails at it.) despite being cursed now and despite he about to kill pep's ancestor, pep's ancestor decided to grab dr pizzaman and throw him into hot boiling cauldron, which caused him to scream, slowly melting his body (explains his ghost form) before he dies. Instead of becoming a ghost, he was instantly sent to the void. he questions where was he, As Mushrazel responding about to get sent to hell. Pizzaman quickly got mad explaining how he was a good person and was wronged by everyone. Mushrazel tells everything he has done was evil and did one of the rules of going to straight to hell, it was witchcraft. Pizzaman still didn't agree but was sent to hell anyway. Mad about it, he decided to cause chaos in hell. Which ended up catching prince Goattail attention. He impressed by his destruction that he invited him to his tea table. He asked him to join his team. Pizzaman refused at first but was later convinced. When he joined, he was renamed as Pizzamancer. He was fine until he heard his ex-friend died decades later and went to pizevan (heaven).

tl;dr: Dr pizzaman used to be friends with Pep's ancestor until he got jealous and started killing everyone. He cursed his ex-friend with bad luck, suffering and no high IQ allowed but ended up getting killed at the end by his ex-friend. Now he in hell serving Goattail.

I got the whole idea of pizzas being demons from original concepts. So, I thought it would fit the horror theme.

Dr Abe and Abette in concepts was going to have been fought twice. Dr abe first battle was he just testing you out. Abette 2nd battle is testing your strength once again before you fight Goattail. This time, she using her powers and not from the parasol. Scrapped.

There's a secret boss called Venus. it was a plant creation failure, in result of eating humans. as the flowers appears to have faces on them as well. the plant is kind of based off the little shop of horror.

There's more planned secret bosses, its only going be 3.

Sanity was originally going be named Propaganda. And emotionless was originally named Smiley.

Rebooted- *drags hands down face* ....I really don't actually hate NS3, but as I mentioned on another post, a lot of things this season tried to pull off (read: practically everything) at least one other season did better. And I know it's not really this season's fault that it's such a mess, since it was whipped up in a whirlwind of unexpected serendipity, and it had less time to explore its ideas, but when people only truly remember and constantly bring up the worst parts about it, rather than few (if not far inbetween) good things that it brought to the table? Or people consistently straight up forget other things about it (primary shoutouts to Techno!Wu and the ninja going to literal space???) Yeah, probably not a great season overall.

Pros: Fun aesthetic, wasn't afraid to try new things, attempted to expand and build on previously introduced ideas, did well with the emotions and aftermath generated by Zane's sacrifice, Pixal, killer music, X-1 Ninja Charger, Sensei Garmadon, had the agenda of getting people back into Ninjago after it supposedly hit its grand finale and did succeed in that if nothing else Cons: Absolutely breakneck pacing to the point that its hard to recall what happens where, when, and even why, you could literally take out like 3-4 of the episodes (half the season!!!) and very little would be ultimately impacted, poor execution of: the established character arcs, dynamics, and motivations within the season (with exception of Garmadon); the attempts at further world building; and the ultimate impact of the antagonists (...people rave about Cryptor but he doesn't even really do anything!! And why did they need to bring the Overlord back at ALL—if this was really something of a Zane-centric season, Cryptor would've already been the perfect foil for him!! AND WHY PYTHOR. I AIN'T ACTUALLY MAD ABOUT THAT TBH BUT WHY THEN)

Hands of Time- This season's biggest issue is that it's...boring. Technically doesn't even do anything wrong, but even when trying to follow a mystery as big as what the heck happened to Nya and Kai's parents, or watching Lloyd begin to come into his own as a future master, or exploring the downfall of two ex-Elemental Masters who turned to evil...it comes off so...stilted and stale. Literally an episode is called 'The Attack'. The whole show is full of attacks, this gives me nothing!!! (But, to be fair, most of the other ep titles this season are pretty kickass). It's like NS6 in the way that a bunch of things happen (and not even nearly as incoherently) but 85% of it doesn't have any lasting or satisfying pay off, and most of it doesn't really mesh in a natural way either. A lot of it feels very contrived, with events happening just for the sake of it happening, and that probably contributes to why it's not quite as compelling as other seasons, despite absolutely having the foundation to be.

Pros: Has an interesting way of drawing parallels between several characters, added a good chunk of lore that generated fresh interest, Kai and Nya Sibling duo, introduced villains with unique motivations and complex history with the main character (directly or indirectly), Jay got that cool bike moment, getting to meet Ray and Maya, actually mention of Skylor being a "bad guy" previously and exploring some of her insight of that, previous EM info + flashbacks, Cons: ...executes a lot of the best things about it in such bland and unsatisfying ways, and could have been much tighter with tying its events all together–would've helped the ending (whether it was a "cliffhanger" or not) feel a lot more deserved and less....empty.

(Also not a real con for the season itself and its literally just a nitpick but I hate those outfits. How are they simultaneously overly-detailed yet so monotone??? There's no pleasing contrast nor a place for the eye to comfortably rest! How are my eyes to last beholding a season with THAT fashion?? This is literally the only time where the gi are a distraction to me because they're...clunky, in a way? But...y'know, given that impression, I suppose they do fit the season to a t, then— *bricked*)

March of the Oni- This season is like a collections of puzzle pieces for a good finale season...but, someone lost a few pieces from the box. Or a lot of them. Isolated, there's a lot of good bits that could've really thrived in a normal season format...but, once again, the limited number of episodes strangled the potential out of its own plotline, SO. Plus, it feels extra weak following off the heels of Hunted's already high stakes, and with these stakes supposed to be even higher, it just doesn't quite hit in the way it's supposed to. That being said, there's a lot of fun and/or intense character dynamics and moments interspersed throughout, and the ending was so cozy and bittersweet but lovely that I can't be too upset with it. It stuck the landing it wanted to, and I can respect that!

Pros: Very strong character moments, (mostly) well-placed use of nostalgia, beautiful music, and overall a suitable little wrap up to "Masters of Spinjitzu" Cons: Not enough room/time to let some plot points breathe (a problem common to a few other seasons as well), and the antagonists could have done more, especially given their previous build up.

The Island- I don't even really count it as a season but it's going here. It was just...okay. Not actually all that bad, but not out-of-this-world great either. Laid the foundation for lore expansion for Seabound which is appreciated, utilized the characters well (EXCEPT RONIN WHAT THE FUCK NO), and again, I can respect it for what it was trying to do. Just didn't do anything that really stuck with me in a mind-blowingly positive way.

Secrets of the Forbidden Spinjitzu- Kiiiiinda wish this season was strictly about "Forbidden Spinjitzu and it's secrets", rather than the "Forbidden Spinjitzu" leading to...assorted shenanigans. Could've made for a good Wu season, honestly. Also kinda wish they'd taken the concepts for the Fire and Ice Chapters and made them into more focused stories on Kai and Zane (especially if they were going to go on and do or attempt that exact thing for Jay, Cole, Nya, and Lloyd properly). Wishing aside, while there was a bit of a lull getting things started, the excitement did pick up soon enough. This season did eventually introduce some fun twists, (mostly) enjoyable character dynamics, and having a little lighter of an adventure until it wasn't after MotO was a refreshing change of pace.

Pros: Lots of individual moments to dig into and get invested in, a nice expansion on the lore of Wu's past + other realms beyond Ninjago, Cons: A little hard to initially get into, and can be even harder to keep wanting to push through and watch to the end. Both the Fire and Ice Chapter have points where they feel a bit "aimless" in their middle portions of their acts, and the season as a whole simultaneously feels like it's longer than it needed to be + didn't always use the time it had efficiently.

Legacy of the Green Ninja- Fellas as I've been finishing up my planning for Legacy!S2, I have to confess this Season isn't quite the masterpiece we remember it as snksnksnksnk. There's literally 2-3 episodes that are ENTIRELY pointless, and none of them are even the """"filler"""" ones. It felt like it was trying to be a wacky shenanigan-of-the-week thing and a "dramatic world-ending thriller adventure" at the same time in both halves of the season, and that didn't always pan out in its favor, giving this season a bit of a lost/confused identity—especially one that so explicitly implicates Lloyd as being important, and yet most of the episodes are spent following the escapades of the Core Four still (which is not inherently a bad thing, but WHERE'S THE SO-CALLED LEGACY?!?! WHERE'S THE GREEN NINJA?!) ........anywho, negativity-fueled-by-recency-bias aside, even its short-comings still make for a highly enjoyable watch and rewatch, which isn't something that can be easily said for the previously mentioned seasons. And, there is still a LOT of funny, heartwarming, heartbreaking, and downright epic moments! But, not always immediately memorable ones.

(but also like please you have to UNDERSTAND there's literally a scene during the final battle where Wu, Misako, and Julien are on the ultra dragon and one of em's like "WE HAVE TO HELP" and, i swear i timed this this is legitimately accurate, TWO SECONDS LATER they make like two wing flaps going nowhere and Wu or Misako's like "THIS AS FAR AS WE GO" LIKE WHAAAAAAT?!?!?!!?! HELP LMAO)

Pros: Easy to get into, easy to keep watching, god-level music, and the simple ass humor still makes me laugh like a lunatic all these years later ("O'GRANDMA???" "I can make a little extra if I do the human piñata." "BEQUEATH! BEQUEATH!" *wordlessly using Zane as a battering ram* *the entire absurdity of Wrong Place, Wrong Time* *Dareth's existence*) Cons: The inconsistency of its overall direction still gives me whiplash all these years later, and I wish it had better embraced a singular identity, as that probably would've helped immensely both with character focus and the at times odd pacing of the plot.

Prime Empire- Finally, some good food! Similar to SotFS, this season took a while to kickstart and find its groove and keep it, but by the end it was sooooo much off-the-walls fun that it's hard to actually hate it. Lots of missed opportunities to expand on Jay's character though, especially when those Prime Empire shorts primarily focused on Jay released alongside the season would've been GREAT to see in actual episodes, and probably could've been what tipped it higher onto this list. While what we did get towards the end was super cool, it would've have MUCH more impact if it had better prior buildup. But, this season is incredibly solid in ways that may not be immediately obvious, though does still a bit to be desires at times too.

Pros: Fun and glorious setting for adventure, some very potent and very memorable character moments, SUPERSTAR ROCKIN' JAY, and a very strong finish that still gets me buzzed when it think about it. Cons: Slow start, many missed opportunities, left me wanting just a bit more (in the not-good way) despite the satisfying finish.

Crystalized- *folds hands in front of face* I probably should put this lower than Prime Empire overall quality-wise, but idk man, Crystalized scratched a lot of my personal itches...and also sent me banging my head into a wall, so. While I genuinely, honestly did enjoy my time with this season (I laughed, I cried, I "what the fuck"ed), there's the other half of my mind that just couldn't stop questioning sooooooo many decisions for the direction of the main characters, and constantly doing so did take me out of it way, way too often. For something that was going to serve as (another) big, grand send off...this one may have stuck the landing better than Hands of Time, but. IDK. Something still felt off at the end of everything.

Pros: (Mostly) incredible fight scenes, and action moments, we got to see perspectives of certain character dynamics that hadn't been explored before or not as often, there really is a lot of cool shit in here, loved the return of so many old faces, honestly very enjoyable if you're able to turn your brain off just a bit Cons: WHAT THE HELL DID THEY DO TO NYA, WHY ARE Y'ALL SLEEPING SO HARD ON THE PERFECT OPPORTUNITY TO FINALLY GIVE LLOYD SOME REAL ACTUAL DEVELOPMENT THAT MADE SENSE, IF YOU WERE REALLY PLANNING ON "REDEEMING" HARUMI WHY DIDN'T YOU PACE IT OUT BETTER, WHY ARE THE CORE FOUR NEAR USELESS, DID WE REALLY HAVE TO SPEND A FOURTH OF THE SEASON IN A PRISON WAS THERE NO BETTER WAY TO GET OLD VILLAINS INVOLVED OR FOR RUMI TO INTIMIDATE LLOYD FROM THE SHADOWS, WHAT WAS THE POINT OF THE NEW NINJA, THERE'S SOOOO MUCH MISSED STUFF SURROUNDING NYA'S SACRIFICE/RETURN, AND WHY DID THEY SCRAP SO MANY ACTUALLY NEAT IDEAS FOR THISSSSSSS *dies*

Hunted- Gonna be honest, it's been a hot second since I've watched NS9 because everyone being in such distress stresses ME out just thinking about it (I'm apparently the people Jay was worried about lmao) and I haven't quite brought myself to subject myself to it again. However, I do remember it being an incredible watch and every episode bringing something epic to the table, and honestly I just see it as a sequel or a part 2 to SoG. Good music, strong character beats, satisfying in pacing all the way through; a great and surprisingly introspective season, just got outshined a bit by some of the pure spectacle and overall enjoyment of other seasons.

Not gonna give Pros/Cons here because I genuinely don't remember specifics—not because any of it was "Forgettable"; I literally just technically only watched it once snksnksnk. I know it's mostly nothing but good stuff with maybe a few snags here or there, but a superbly solid season.

Sons of Garmadon- Ah yes, one of two fan favorites. And a favorite of mine as well! Just...well, it's not really a Season I ever have the urge to go back to often, which is something the following seasons to come are about to have in common. It's got a rock solid plot, delicious twists, always kept me on the edge of my seat, had a lot fascinating locations and new lore...all wrapped up in a gripping entertaining time to be had. Though, it's kind of a season where you watch it once, are completely satisfied with, and then maybe only come back to it if and when you're rewatching the whole series (at least for me—that being said, I've watched season 8 waaay more than I've watch season 9 snksnk).

Pros: Well-thoughtout plot, fully compelling antagonists, another shout out to the music, dared to take some risks as the show entered a new era, and for once everyone felt like they were contributing as a single group, which was nice to see until they weren't Cons: As stated, already a very solid season; it's just a few scenes that probably could've used some polish for extra impact in hindsight.

Way of the Ninja- Well, if I'm including the Island, might as well include the Pilots! It's only above Hunted/SOG here because *I* happen to like it more and have rewatched it a great many times haha. Honestly the only cons are that I wished we'd had some little adventures in the Ice Fortress/Floating Ruins, and that the ninja themselves had more of a presence in the ultimate confrontation with Garmadon. Otherwise the Pilots did an absolutely fantastic job of laying the groundwork for the show to come, and using witchcraft to hook many of us into adoring these characters with insane chemistry from the get-go with nothing but the bare minimum. Nothing but love and respect for my pilots! <3

Skybound- Only reason this is higher than the previous three on this list is because *I* personally enjoyed it more, that's all. For overall quality and consistency, Hunted, Pilots, and SoG clear it easily. ANYWAY I LOVE SKYBOUND. It's probably actually my second favorite season these days but I'm already about to be crucified for putting it this high on the list rip. Oh there's plenty of things wrong with this season: out of character moments including but not limited to misogyny, contradictory statements, contradictory actions, saying things they would never say prior to this season; the antagonist has wildly changing motivations almost every episode along with uncomfy tendencies, every episode feels wildly different and/or disconnected from the others, the things are happening all over the place at any given time...it's chaotic, messy, and I LOVE IT. It's a mess but it's my mess and if you dig deep enough there's a lot to love buried in the muck that I, as an individual, feel that makes the season worth it all <3

Pros: PIRATES, everything about Jay, Watching Jaya develop over the course of the season for better or worse, getting some insight into the other characters via the wishes they make, watching Jay get his moments to be the absolute badass and even Nadakhan acknowledging that (just with some horribly misguided but well-meaning intentions of the heart but he's HUMAN), the HUMOR, the Ninja Replacements and Jay getting to show off some leadership FINALLY, Jay whump, Lloyd's pirate impression, Lil Nelson!!!, Jay with an eyepatch, crashing a wedding, Echo Zane!, a commentary on how people perceive us and how we perceive ourselves can lead to great inner and outer conflict, pretty ass animation scenes esp for being in the earlier era, we got the greatest gi to ever grace our unworthy presence despite being folded the wrong way, did I mention Jay— Cons: Literally everything stated previously and probably more I'm sure you already know. But also why did they randomly MAKE DARETH LIKE THAT GOOD LORD WHY this is on par with Ronin in the Island IS2G

Rise of the Snakes- The vintage classic!!! Not ~perfect~ by any means BUT it told a cohesive story while giving everyone (even including Nya!) a little bit of spotlight and some significance and brought it all together so neatly with emotion and FUN that of course it had the power to reshape our childhoods (or teenhoods. Or adulthoods. Or nowhoods). Really its biggest flaw is simply that it was first, thus of course having a little less polish and therefore had to pave the way for better seasons to follow, but it was still a mighty tough act to follow.

Pros: Many establishing moments for the main crew for their adventures to come, antagonists that were funny, threatening, and had some pretty convincing motivations, Lloyd, highly memorable overall, easy to jump back into, gave us the legendary Weekend Whip (unless that was in the credits to the pilots too i don't remember) Cons: A bit dated nowadays, and rough around the edges, but doesn't do anything inherently wrong either. I'd say the pacing is a little quick, but in this season in particular its masked so well that you really only notice if you're looking for it (which I had been)

Master of the Mountain- And now, the truly cream of the crop. NS13 was the thing we've always wanted and always knew we needed and finally the powers that be delivered. I could rave day in and day out about Cole finally getting some much deserved focus, but for as strong and heavy-hitting as his whole arc was, the stories of the other ninja pale a bit in comparison, leaving this season unable to break the top three. Otherwise a masterclass in storytelling. And Cole.

Pros: COLE SEASON, HYPE AF FIGHT SCENES, COLE'S MOMMY, VANIA, THE UPPLY, WU AND COLE DYNAMIC, ZANE THROWING ROCKS AT KAI, THE VOICE DIRECTION (esp Lloyd, Cole, and Kai), THE SUBTLE MYSTERY OF IT ALL, THE MUSIC, THE INTRIGUE, AAAAAAA Cons: NOT ENOUGH COLE, antagonist was a bit bleh (though those fight scenes he had SERVED), could have had a little better utilization of the characters outside of "Cole's crew"

Seabound- MMMMMMM EVERY SINGLE EPISODE HIT SO GOOOOOOOOOOOOD!!!! NYA EATING FOR REAL!!! THE GODDAMN INSANE FIGHT CHOREOGRAPHY!!!! THE PEAK VILLAIN!!! THE MUSIC! THE EMOTIONS! THE PAPERGIRL! THE BENTHO! THE PILLOW MINT! THE CRUMBLING COOKIE! THE JAY ALMOST DYING FOR HIS FRIENDS! THE NYA BASICALLY DYING FOR HER FRIENDS! THE SILENT I LOVE YOU!!! THE UTTERLY GUTTING WAY IT ENDED AND LEFT ME COMATOSE FOR THREE DAYS!!!!! IT WAS SO BEAUTIFULLLLLLLL WHO GAVE THEM PERMISSION TO POP THIS HARD

Possession- Here we have the other fan favorite season, the bible for all people Morro-obsessed. Essentially the Seabound of the older era but with significantly less emotional devastation snksnksnk. Top-notch characterization—the Core Four have never been better with their dynamics, humor, and teamwork, it's the first real time Nya (and if we wanna be picky, Cole) get some dedicated introspective time, Lloyd is truly put to a very personal test, Ronin is there, and Morro serves as both a fantastic antagonist and a foil for all those he opposes. Simply isn't the top spot strictly because when I think of my favorite season...this ain't it, though it absolutely deserves to be.

Pros: THE CHARACTERIZATION FOR ALL, AMAZING ANTAGONIST, ALSO BEAUTIFUL ANIMATIONS, HUMOR AND HORRORS IN ONE GO, EXTREMELY REWATCHABLE, MOAR MUSIC, ENDED BITTERSWEET BUT WITH HOPE AND A SICKASS QUOTE Cons: Perhaps a touch overhyped but that's not actually the season's fault nor is it actually a con I just needed to put something here this thing is honestly airtight perfect when it comes to seasons gfgsfddfdhfkls

Tournament of Elements- yes. Yes. YEEEEEEES. To be fair this should be #3 or #4 overall quality wise MMMMMBUT I THINK ITS POTENCY CLEARS THE GAP! Season 4 ran so Season 5 could fly!!!! THE RECIPE FOR A PERFECT STORY, just, perhaps a touch undercooked, BUT THE INTENTIONS WERE FELT AND I VIBE WITH THEM H A R D

Pros: IN A SEASON WHERE THE VILLAIN DIVIDES PEOPLE WE LEARN THAT THERE IS STRENGTH IN KEEPING AND MAINTAINING MANY DIFFERENT KIND OF RELATIONSHIPS EVEN IF IT SEEMS HARD AND IMPOSSIBLE AND IN SPITE OF OUR DIFFERENCES AND EVEN IF WE DO FIND OURSELVES DIVIDED, WE SEE WE ARE STRONGER WHEN WE ARE ABLE TO COME TOGETHER AS ONE. THESE THEMES ARE SUPPORTED BY THE CHARACTERS, MUSIC, PLOT, THE ANIMATION OF THE EXPRESSIONS, AND I THINK THIS IMPORTANT OVERARCHING MESSAGE TRIUMPHS OVER EVERYTHING ELSE AS IT TRULY RESTS AT THE HEART OF NINJAGO AS A WHOLE *mic drop* Cons: Wish it delved just a bit more into the other EMs–what in the world have they all been up to??? Also wish the season ran with the tournament theme throughout the whole season rather than suddenly bouncing around in like the last three or so episodes–that kind of killed its momentum when it needed it the most. But, it still definitely stuck the landing!

Bel’s backstory: clean version

They were born into a wealthy family who cared just a little too much about reputation and appearing perfect. His mother and father had met in Mexico, when his rich father decided to take their family back to Portugal. (His mother is from Mexico, his father is from Portugal) Bel was born intersex, but forcefully raised as his parents’ daughter. Throughout their childhood, they were preened to be a little princess for their family. They were forced to be dainty, proper, and most of all perfect. Beleza’s parents put a ton of pressure on him and would scold him if he strayed away from pure perfection. 

If xe cried, xe would be scolded. If xe did something impolite, xe would be scolded. If xe wasn’t smiling, xe would be scolded. If xe dared to stand up for ximself, xe would be scolded.

So Bel did the only thing he could do… learn how to lie and manipulate. He would turn out to be a master manipulator and a pretty convincing liar. He would be so convincing in fact, that he even tricked Dio into trusting him. We’ll get to that in a little bit though! 

Over time, Bel had come to realize that he hated being a girl. He didn’t exactly feel like a man either, but he was definitely more masculine leaning. Bel knew better than to tell his parents that… but of course they found out and scolded him for it.

It was the final straw for Beleza… They had planned an escape for years. Playing pretend with their family, putting on a facade of being a perfect, demure, darling little princess. Then one day…

He decided to run away. His parents would never see him again. Their hearts were broken and they mourned the loss of their poor perfect little daughter…

Beleza stole money from his parents and left to start a new life as the person we know today: Beleza Muscadine. His birth name will never be shared because that is not who he is anymore, and it is rude to ask. Bel was able to get top surgery, but couldn’t get the exact body he wanted. 

One day, they found that there was somebody with a stand who could enchant transgender people to be the exact gender they want to be. The only problem was, that person lived very far underground. The only way you could get to them was if you knew somebody who knew somebody who knew how to guide you to their exact location. It was a very well kept secret, but a life saving one at that.

Bel was able to convince those people to tell him how to get there. It was a long and exhausting journey, but he was able to find this mysterious underground stand user. He was in awe at this person. They had their face covered, they were blind, they were kind to him. They were old and wise, asking Bel everything he wanted to be. Bel told them everything as they took off their face covering, revealing how ancient and how beautiful they were. 

Bel was granted the transformation he always wanted; masculinity with a pinch of femininity, androgyny mixed in, salmacian/sex neutral (no longer intersex), a masculine jawline, and toned muscles. When they got to his chest, Beleza stopped them… he wanted to keep his top surgery scars. They really meant a lot to him, he was able to grant that for himself. The wise old stand user understood and continued with the rest. Bel awoke and looked in the mirror.

Beleza was everything xe ever wanted to be. The joy, the euphoria, xe had never felt so pleased in xis life! Unfortunately, nothing is free…

Beleza had to give a few years off of their life for this joy. The old stand user has been alive for quite a long time doing business with people. 

Later on, Beleza got a job as Dio’s right hand man. Dio adored Bel and so did many of the other servants. They’re very outgoing and care a lot about their appearance and what other people think of them. Dio would whisper to Bel in their ear, “Don’t forget… you’re my favorite.” 

Not only was Beleza Dio’s favorite servant, but he thought their stand, Gilded Cobra, was one of the most amazing stands he’s ever seen.

Bel was one of Dio's servants way back in the day. He was actually his first second in command before Vanilla came along. Bel immigrated from Portugal to Egypt and got a job as Dio's servant for some extra cash and a luxurious place to stay. Vanilla was taken in by Dio, fed, bathed, and given a place to stay under the condition that he will remain his servant for the rest of his life. It was Bel's responsibility to teach Vanilla the ropes and prepare him for being a servant. Vanilla learned all of the things to do, the chores around the mansion, and the daily/nightly routines to follow.

Bel was even the first to introduce Vanilla to Jonathan's head. Vanilla was horrified until Bel had explained everything. He explained to Vanilla how to care for him, what to and not to do, how to pick him up, how to place him back in his resting tank, and everything. However, Vanilla was the one to discover that Jonathan could eat food and it would disappear.

Soon he felt like he was competing for Dio's affections and praise. Bel was always the first to be praised for a job well done. Xe was well liked, xe was popular, xe had the ability to smoothly persuade the other servants beneath him to do his bidding, and most of all, xe was Dio's favorite servant. This tore Vanilla up inside. He wanted so badly to have that love and praise he was deprived of for so long.

Bel found out that Vanilla was jealous of them rather quickly. They absolutely relished in that fact, and would hang it over Vanilla's head. Bel and Vanilla would hurl childish insults at each other and make fun of each others' sense of fashion. Every now and then, they would piss each other off so badly that they would physically attack one another.

Dio, being kind of a jerk, would actually enjoy seeing these men fight over him. However, he knew that the two of them hating each other wouldn't do any good when it came to getting work done around the mansion. Dio scolded them both and told them that they needed to at least get along in public and in front of the others. Vanilla was still extremely jealous of Bel and wanted to be the center of Dio's attention. Unfortunately, his fixation on Dio's affection took a toll on his mental health as a whole.

Bel was still very popular, especially with the gentlemen. Bel could have any fella he wanted, but for the sole purpose of messing with Vanilla, he always stroked Dio's massive....... ego. Vanilla would suck up to Dio so much that the other agents and servants really disliked him. In their eyes, he was pathetic and served no other purpose being there aside from being yet another one of Dio's boy toys.

One day, something strange happened with Bel. He just... suddenly stopped caring about tormenting Vanilla. Bel started developing more of an interest in money, flashy items, and gaining power over others. Dio praised him for being greedy and prideful, but told him not to let all that power go to his head and remember who the real king is.

"Remember who the real king is..." Those words rang in Bel's ears and made xim very upset. Xe stewed in his thoughts for a few days, looking around the mansion and taking note of all the treasures. Vanilla followed xim around as stealthily as he could. Of course, Vanilla is very clumsy and trips over his own feet. Bel heard Vanilla and gave him a scolding for knocking over expensive items.

That morning, Bel waited until Dio was asleep in his coffin. There are several booby traps that they have bypassed many times before. They snuck their way into Dio's true slumber chamber. Ever so carefully, they opened the lid to his coffin. With wooden stake in hand, Bel plunged the weapon into Dio's-!!!

Hand! Dio had stopped the wood would-be vampire slayer with the palm of his hand. Dio awoken from his vampiric slumber as soon as he heard the lid to his coffin open. He had pretended to be asleep to see what would happen. If Dio hadn't been quick enough, Bel surely would've slain Dio.

They both stared at each other for a while. Bel, completely wide eyed and stunned that his plan didn't work... Dio, glaring with his glowing amber eyes straight into Bel's soul... After a few long moments of staring at each other, Dio uttered the words,

"Get out..."

Bel released their grip on the wooden stake, still stuck in the palm of their once-master's hand. They knew he didn't mean "get out of my chambers"... he meant "get out of this mansion."

Instead of killing Bel, or having the rest of his minions tear him apart, he decided to have Bel exiled. Bel was to never return to the mansion for as long as he lived. He was no longer welcome there. Not as a servant, not as a guest, nothing. Bel had very little time to get all of his things and leave. He was gone before Vanilla even woke up.

After that, Vanilla became the man everyone knows today. He picked up the slack Bel left behind. Although he is not as charismatic, attentive, or persuasive as Bel was, Vanilla still got a lot done around the mansion and then some.

Jung grew up in a small village close to the Drachman border, as the middle child of a rural family. Since his childhood he had learned about the looming threat that comes from Drachma, which is why he joined the military once he was old enough. He wanted to protect the country, but also prove himself and get out of the village as quickly as possible. His military academy years were rather uneventful and he didn’t really stand out with his skills, which were relatively average at that time. After his graduation, he was transferred to Fort Briggs.

Briggs back then was completely different from what it is during canon time. Disputes between Drachma and Briggs were a constant problem and truces were impossible to achieve. On top of that the Fort was in a bad shape, literally and metaphorically. Between the soldiers there was nothing of the loyalty and cohesion that we see in Brotherhood and in the military Briggs was seen as the last stop of one's military career.

When Jung came to Briggs, he quickly understood how crucial Briggs was for the safety of the country and that something needed to change for it to stay stable. Because of that, Jung decided to climb up the military ladder to get more and more commanding authority. And he was very successful at it: There were little people at that time that actually put an effort in their work and Jung was smart. On top of that he seemed to be a naturally effective leader. After honing his skills through years of practice, he eventually became a respected soldier whom many people looked up to.

Jung shaped Fort Briggs quite a lot, he managed to improve its fighting force and people began to get loyal to the Fort and actually started to put effort and meaning into their work. Because of his own success, Jung’s goal started to change: He didn’t just want to shape the Fort, but also climb to its top and take the seat of commanding officer. And he had good odds at that!

Briggs’ current general was growing close to retirement and would name a successor from within the Fort. It was very unlikely someone from Central city was eager to take his place, after all Briggs was still seen as someone’s end of their career. On top of that the Ishvalan Civil war had just started and everyone in Central was eager to prove themselves in the war.

With his standing at the Fort and a big group of loyal soldiers siding with him, Jung is more than certain that he would take the seat as commanding officer. However, there is still another young soldier that climbed Briggs ranks and is ready to take the command: Olivier

And this is we’re he ties into the story: Jung is Olivier’s rival in becoming Briggs’ commanding officer. Both of them are highly skilled, smart and have loyalties within the Fort. Olivier is determined to beat him, whereas Jung doesn’t really see her as a proper threat. While he sees her skills in fighting and leadership, he doesn’t think she has what it takes to command to Fort (plus she’s four years younger than him).

To him, Olivier’s strategic steps are more than apparent and she’s easy to anticipate. However she managed to puzzle him with her latest move. Jung doesn’t understand why she brought the two young men to the Fort, after all none of them are soldiers. He does see potential in the young doctor, even if he just finished his medical training. However Jung just can’t understand why she would bring the other man here. Though if Jung is certain of something, it’s that the grey haired man is hiding something.
