The Movie PASSION OF CHRIST:
“Mel Gibson warned actor Jim Caviezel that playing the character of Christ was going to be very difficult and that if he accepted, he most likely would be marginalized by Hollywood.
Caviezel asked for a day to think about it and his response to Mel who was funding and directing the movie was: "I think we have to make it, even if it is difficult." And something else, my initials are J.C., and I am 33 years old. "I didn't realize that until now."
Mel responded with “You're really scaring me you know.”
During filming, Jim Caviezel who plays the part of Jesus lost 45 pounds, he was struck by lightning, he was accidentally struck twice during the scourging scene leaving a deep 14-inch scar, he dislocated his shoulder when the cross was dropped into the hole with him on the cross. He then suffered pneumonia and hypothermia from being nearly naked with only a loin cloth on the cross for endless hours. The crucifixion scene alone took 5 weeks of the 2 months of shooting.
His body was so stressed and exhausted from playing the role that he had to undergo two open heart surgeries after the filming production.
Jim explained, “I didn’t want people to see me. I just want them to see Jesus. Conversions will happen through that.”
Almost like a clairvoyant prediction many amazing things happened.
Pedro Sarubbi, who played Barabbas, felt that it was not Caviezel who was looking at him, but Jesus Christ himself, as he played that role he said of Caviezel, “His eyes had no hatred or resentment towards me, only mercy and love."
Luca Lionello, the artist who played Judas, was an avowed atheist before shooting began. He eventually converted, and baptized his children.
One of the main technicians working on the film was a Muslim converted to Christianity.
Some producers said they saw actors dressed in white they didn’t recognize during one of the filming sessions, and when they reviewed the recordings they realized they couldn’t see them in that footage.
The Passion of the Christ is the highest grossing US religious as well as the highest R-rated film of all time, with $370.8 million! Worldwide, it grossed $611 million.
More importantly, it has reached 100’s of millions of people around the world.
Mel Gibson paid $30 million out of his own pocket for the production of the film because no studio would take on the project.
Today Jim Caviezel simply and boldly proclaims his faith in Christ, and the miracle it was for him to represent Christ as an actor and a greater believer of Christ because of this experience.

I just saw The Sound of Freedom, and honestly, we should live in a world where this movie doesn't have to exist, but here we are.
The film itself was amazing, it dealt very well with the horrific issue that is child trafficking; bringing it to light without exploiting the child actors involved (unlike Netflix's Cuties).
I LOVED the cast! So many amazing hispanic actors playing protagonists and antagonists alike! And I really liked all the subtitled Spanish conversations in the movie. Jim Caviezel's stilted accent came off as very endearing, especially as he was such an empathetic character.
I definitely recommend this film to anyone and everyone, regardless of your political party. Left or right, we can all agree that human trafficking has to be stopped.

HOLLYWOOD, CA — Hollywood critics, actors, and producers are reportedly confused by Sound of Freedom, an action thriller produced by Angel Studios and starring Jim Caviezel, because it depicts child sex trafficking as a bad thing.
According to sources among the nation's entertainment elite, Hollywood insiders had been excited to learn there was a film coming out about sex trafficking but were then disappointed when they found out it's depicted as a negative thing in the film. Critics have been giving the film poor reviews, citing the filmmakers' "baffling" decision to take a stance against the practice, with The New York Times slamming the movie for "not having enough kink."
"It's just confusing," said one director. "You go through all this trouble to make a film about child sex trafficking, and then you end up making the traffickers out to be the bad guys?"
"Such a missed opportunity."
"Yeah, I guess I just don't get it either," said Ezra Miller (they/them). "You're not supposed to kidnap people? Or it's like, frowned upon? Was that wrong? Should I not have done that?"
At publishing time, President Joe Biden had slammed the movie as "a far-right extremist domestic terrorist act" and called upon Congress to pass "common-sense Mormon film control."

Actor and Director Mel Gibson released a new video bringing awareness to human trafficking.
Gibson in a new video that’s making its rounds on Twitter stated “One of the most disturbing problems in our world today is human trafficking and particularly the trafficking of children. Our future is our children.”
The star of Braveheart continued “Now the first step in eradicating this crime is awareness. Go see Sound of Freedom.”
Sound of Freedom is a new movie that stars Passion of the Christ actor Jim Caviezel who portrays the real-life story of former special DHS agent Tim Ballard who quit his job in order to dedicate his life to saving children around the globe from human trafficking rings....

Actual question: How does a B list actor, with presumably no CIA/FBI/ DHS/ DOJ connections, acquire all this information?
Has he secretly been a spy all the time, like his Person of Interest character?
Now *that* would be a story.
The Jim Caviezel/Mel Gibson bromance is doing neither of them any favours.
It’s not even the conservative/Catholic/religious thing which, hey, is their choice.
It’s the batshit Qanon stuff. Even most sensible religious people know Qanon folks ain’t playing with a full deck.

Fandom Problem #4791:
When learning the actors are loonies totally ruins the show or movie for you and you can't watch any of their things again, like Tom Cruise being a scientologist and Jim Caviezel being QAnon

The Mackinac Republican Leadership Conference often lures a who’s who of GOP power players to Michigan. Wealthy donors shake hands with presidential candidates, who give rousing speeches to packed audiences in hopes of winning the conference’s straw poll.
The event is typically a money-maker for its sponsor – the Michigan Republican Party. But this year’s conference was decidedly different.
The only presidential candidate to show up was Vivek Ramaswamy, who was polling in the single digits in the state. The line-up of speakers included failed Arizona gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake; Zuby, an obscure British rapper who occasionally appears on Fox News; and, conservative provocateur Dinesh D’Souza, who ultimately did not show up.
The biggest draw was actor Jim Caviezel, a promoter of QAnon conspiracy theories, who had a hit movie this summer but is perhaps best known for playing Jesus in “The Passion of the Christ” movie 20 years ago. He was paid a $110,000 fee to attend and give a 25-minute speech.
The event, simply put, was “a disaster,” said Warren Carpenter, an active party member and former district chair.
A CNN review of documents and interviews with more than 20 current and former party officials shows the Republican party in this key battleground state has become entangled in financial turmoil, infighting and calls for new leadership less than a year before the 2024 presidential election.
When the Republican Party shows you who they are, believe them.
