a/n: i fricking LOVE this!! i had so much fun writing it and i hope you all enjoy!
warnings: SMUT (minors DNI), oral (fem! receiving), swearing, alcohol consumption, and jeremiah being a total sweetheart
the sun was shining brightly through the windows of my bedroom, the morning breeze coming through smelling of sea salt. i flutter my eyes open, taking in the warmth of the summer. i reach for my phone that was charging by my bed side. the moment the lockscreen wakes, it’s full of birthday messages.
i feel myself smile as i go through the individual texts from all my friends back home in maine. i respond to them all, thanking each of them for the kind and loving messages.
after doing so, i finally decide that it’s time for me to get out of bed. i stretch out the slumber from my body before crawling out of the warm bed. i grab my phone and my bluetooth speaker and head over to my bathroom to start my birthday right.
cruel summer by taylor swift starts playing loudly as i pull off my pajamas, which was in reality one of jeremiah’s old t-shirts. i decide to text my friends to see what the plans were for the day, assuming they had something in mind.

y/n!:
stop being mean j
i close my phone, a bit disappointed that it appeared that all my friends forgot about my birthday. i try to shake it off and assume that they’re all busy, so remembering a birthday isn’t that big of a deal.
i step into my shower, washing my hair with my coconut shampoo and conditioner, lathering my body with body wash, and shaving every inch of my body. i sing to taylor swift as i shower, feeling my muscles relax in the warm water. i dry myself off with a towel and pull on a cute purple summer dress that i had gotten earlier last week.
after putting on some makeup and doing my hair, i figured that i was ready to go downstairs to see my family. at least they would remember my birthday.
you only turn seventeen once, plus laurel, susannah, and my mom always told me that seventeen is an amazing year.
my mom was preparing my favourite smoothie bowl when i got to the kitchen. her face lit up after seeing me turn the corner and a smile drawn up her face, “happy birthday, my babygirl!” she exclaimed, pulling me into a tight embrace.
i hug her back, “thank you, momma!”
she hands me the beautiful smoothie bowl, “here you go, sugar! let me go get you your presents!”
my mom scurries away to her office before returning with multiple gifts all wrapped up in colourful gift wrap. she places them on the kitchen island before sitting down beside me.
i was already half way done my breakfast when my dad and baby sister came into the kitchen.
“happy seventeenth, babydoll” my dad grins, planting a kiss on my forehead, “i can’t believe how grown up you are already.”
“happy birthday sissy!” my four year old sister yells, hugging my leg. i ruffle her hair, thanking the both of them.
my mom urges me to open up the presents, she had always been a huge gift giver — seeing people’s reactions were her favourite thing. i open the sealed boxes, revealing lululemon clothing, a new ipad, gorgeous jewelry, and some makeup products that i’ve been wanting to get.
“mom!” i exclaim, in shock of the overwhelming amount of gifts, “you didn’t have to!”
“oh, honey,” she coos, brushing my hair, “it’s your seventeenth birthday! of course i had to, do you like them?”
i look at her with my mouth opened agape, “yes, yes! of course i love them all! you know me so well, thank you!”
my arms wrap around my mom, squeezing her tight.
“my first baby,” she whispers into my ear so my sister, lindsay, doesn’t hear her, “i love you with my whole heart.”
i finish up the rest of my breakfast, while also admiring my new items. my dad also takes a few photos of us, most likely to post on his facebook page later. luckily, i look decent right now.
“eat up,” my dad says to me, “your friends are probably waiting for you.”
i shrug, “they’re all busy today.”
my mom turns to me with a raised eyebrow, “seriously? do you want me to call susannah?”
i shake my head quickly, “no! it’s alright, really.”
“i’m sorry, baby” my dad squeezes my shoulder, “you can hang out with us today.”
i give him a small smile, “that sounds good.”
the rest of the day was uneventful, well not exactly. it was moreso just a typical day for us. my sister and i went swimming in our pool, i watched tv with my parents, and scrolled through my phone a ton. i really didn’t want to confront my friends about them forgetting my birthday, it would’ve been immature was what i told myself. it’s not like i’m six anymore.
i was laying on my bed when i received a text message.
j:
heyy pretty
wanna come over? we just came back from fishing 🎣
y/n!:
sure :)
j:
awesome! see you soon!!
also wear something nice ;)
y/n!:
why?
j:
not that you don’t always look nice!!!
my mom wants to take photos or smt lol
y/n!:
oooook
my brows furrow in slight confusion of the request but i shrug it off. i get up from my laying position and go to my closet to find something ‘nice’. i find a black satin slip dress that i brought from back home, i figured this would be nice enough. i put it on and look at myself in front of my mirror.
i smooth down the material of the dress, checking how it looks from the side and from behind. i silently pray that jeremiah would like it, i’ve overheard him, conrad, and steven talk about how jeremiah is an ass man multiple times — considering how the satin material of the dress perfectly fits my bum, i’m convinced he’ll appreciate it.
i grab my phone, sunglasses, and my favourite lip gloss before heading downstairs. i see my parents cuddled up on the couch, watching a movie together with my sister fast asleep in the space next to them.
i slide on my white converse and head over to them, “i’m going over to the fishers.” i tell them. they smile and remind me to have fun and to be home by two am.
the walk over to the fisher summer home is brief, a quick five minute walk. them living only two houses over from mine always came in handy. i open up the front door before my vision became black.
“do you trust me?” he says, jeremiah’s hands clamped over my eyes.
“if you ruin my mascara, j, i might cry.” i joke, “yes, i do trust you.”
“okay, good.” i can hear his infamous smile in his voice, “come with me.”
he guides me slowly through the house, his hands still over my eyes. jeremiah lifts them off and it takes me a moment before noticing all the decorations put up around the kitchen. there are streamers hanging from the walls and across the ceilings, so many pretty balloons in every corner of the room, a huge ‘happy birthday’ sign hanging on the cupboards.
my hand flyes to clamp over my open mouth, “oh my god!”
steven, belly, laurel, susannah, and conrad all jump up from their hiding spot behind the kitchen island.
“surprise!” they all scream out. i smile widely, taking in everything,
“you guys!” i gush, as im being pulled into a hug from jeremiah, “thank you!”
his muscular arms hold me and he plants two kisses on my hair, “did you really think we forgot your birthday, pretty girl?”
i laugh, “well maybe! you guys are forgetful sometimes… like the time you forgot belly and i at the walmart!”
he rolls his eyes playfully, “oh shush, that was one time!”
“we never forget birthdays here.” susannah giggles before also hugging me, “happy birthday my gorgeous and beaming girl.”
everyone takes their turn in hugging me and wishing me a happy birthday. i thank each of them individually, the smile never leaving my face once.
“who planned this?” i ask laurel, who was carefully pulling out the birthday cake from the fridge.
“it was all belly and connie’s idea” she smiles, “now go sit!”
i take my seat next to jeremiah and steven before laurel brings the cake with seventeen candles on it in front of me. they all sing happy birthday to me and i close my eyes to make a wish.
every year since i was five years old, my birthday wish has been the same. not even just for my birthday, anytime i saw a shooting star, or tossed a penny in a fountain, or honestly any other occasion that required making a wish — it has always been the same.
it was wishing for jeremiah to notice me in the same way that i see him. it’s all i’ve ever wanted, as stupid as it can get.
i blow out all the candles and susannah cuts up the cake into slices before serving it to everyone. belly reminds me of all the birthday presents that they had gotten me, and to open it later.
after cake, susannah and laurel agree to leave the home to go to a cocktail bar so that the kids can have the house to themselves for a few hours. more teenagers from cousins start showing up, all of them wishing me a happy birthday as they come in.
drinks are being served, music is playing loudly off the multiple speakers scatter around the home, beer pong matches are being played by the pool, people dancing.
jeremiah stays next to me for the whole night, we chat with a few of our friends while sipping our seltzers.
“do you wanna go upstairs for a bit?” jeremiah says to me in a hushed tone, “y’know, to get away from this?”
i nod, “yeah, for sure.”
he smiles, taking my hand into his own and guiding me through the crowd and up the stairs. we walk to his bedroom, he closes the door behind me and locks it. jeremiah places his drink on his dresser and offers to put mine next to it, i agree and soon we’re both seated on his bed.
we make small talk, him asking about my birthday so far as he rummages around in his desk drawer. he sits back down beside me, facing me. he places a small velvet box into my hands,
“open it, my favourite birthday girl.” he smirks, looking into my eyes. his hand was on my thigh and i can feel myself blushing.
i think i can get lost in his ocean eyes, they’re so beautiful and full of life. i smile and carefully open it, inside was a gorgeous golden ring with a large (what im assuming was a fake) diamond on it.
“j…” i gasp, lifting the ring out of its box and admiring it, “this must have costed a fortune.”
he shrugs, “anything for you, look on the band.”
i bring the ring closer to my eyes and see that there’s an engraving on the inside of the band.
in love with my best friend <3
my jaw drops, “jeremiah?”
i look up at him, our eyes interlocking. he slowly nods, “i love you, y/n — i’ve always have, i thought it was a childhood crush and i don’t think i really realized until last summer that i truly do love you.”
“can i?” he asks, taking the ring from my hand. i nod and he carefully slips it onto my finger before being it to his lips and kissing it.
i pull him into a kiss, my hands rested on his cheeks and his on my waist. he kissed back almost immediately. my hands move down to his built chest and gently push him down onto his back, our lips never leaving each others. i adjust my legs so im straddled on him,
“i’ve always loved you too.” i whisper against his lips, he smiles into the kiss and kisses me harder.
his fingers fiddle with the edge of my dress, hands sliding up and down the back of my thighs before squeezing my ass slowly, “god, i couldn’t take my eyes off of you in this dress. it makes your body look so fucking good.” jeremiah groans.
i lower my crotch onto the evident tent in his pants, he gasps at the contact while slowly grind my hips on his.
“fuck, you’re gonna make me come in my pants.” he moans into my ear as i flip my hair onto one side. i bring my face to his jawline, kissing it and licking the soft skin. his hands tighten around my ass and i moan at the contact.
his hand slips under my dress and to the lace material of my thong, his finger slide underneath the band of it. he lifts it before letting it go, the snap of my underwear against my skin making me moan louder.
“sit on my face,” he tells me in a low voice, i feel myself getting even more wet and excited at the tone of it, “let me give you another birthday gift.”
he lifts me by the waist and moves me so my core is hovering above his mouth. i grab onto his head board while jeremiah slowly moves the lace material to the side and lowers me onto his face.
i gasp loudly when his tongue licks a long stride between my folds. he moans into me, “fuck, you’re so wet for me, baby.” he mumbles against me, the vibrations causing me to throw my head back in pleasure.
jeremiah dips his tongue into me, licking up all the juices and tracing figure eights against me. i squeeze the headboard tighter, becoming a moaning mess quickly. his tongue is magic. he fucks me with his mouth, my thighs shaking around his head,
“shit, jere.” i cry out, feeling my high coming closer. his hands squeeze my ass yet again before landing a smack on my left ass cheek. i moan loudly in response, my body flowing with immense pleasure, “fuck, i’m gonna come!”
he never slows his tongue as i feel my orgasm come crashing down on me. waves of pure pleasure crashing down. jeremiah licks up every last drop as i slowly come down from the high. i move myself down from his face and back down towards his groin. i lean down to kiss his passionately, tasting myself on his lips,
“holy shit, i can eat you out all day long.” he says to me as his hands fumble with his pants. he kicks off his pants and boxers. his erection slaps his lower abdomen and i drool at the sight of it. it’s huge, red tip begging for attention and veins pulsating on the sides of it.
i move to give him a blowjob but his grip on my waist prevents me from moving, “it’s your birthday.” jeremiah tells me, “you can give me head another time.” he winks
my hips position themselves above his thick and veiny cock and i lower myself onto it. he fills me up perfectly and we both moan loudly at the same time. every inch of him inside on me as i bottom out.
i slowly start rocking my hips against him, both of us becoming a panting mess. his hands never leave my hips, lifting me and slamming me back down onto his dick.
“you feel so good, baby” he praises, “you tight pussy feels amazing around me, fuck”
i continue riding him, my hands tangled up in his hair, pulling it which makes him moan.
“i- i think your cock was made for me.” i whisper in his ear before kissing him harshly.
he smirks, “oh yeah?”
and i nodded feverishly before he flips us around so im on my back and his on top of me, “sorry baby, i want to be in control now”
he pulls out almost entirely before slamming himself back in, the new position making him hit me even deeper than he was before. he thrusts harder and deeper, my back arches and i grab onto the sheets beside me, “fuck i’m close” i cry
“me too, hold on.” he continues fucking me, littering kissing on my face and neck. i can feel my inner muscles squeezing around him which makes jeremiah groan, “i’m fucking gonna come.”
“let it go.” he encourages me, his thumb going down to start abusing the bundle of nerves. almost immediately, i feel myself orgasm. my legs tightening around his waist and i feel him finish inside of me. he releases a series of curse words as he fucks us both through our orgasms.
a few moments after he pulls out and rolls next to me. we’re both breathing heavily, trying to catch our breaths, “holy shit” i pant out, looking over at him.
he grins, “that was amazing.”
“beyond amazing.” i repeat and he laughs,
“fuck, i should’ve asked you this before.” he says, reaching over to cup my face, “will you be my girlfriend, y/n?”
i blush, “yes, a hundred times yes!”

Pairing - Jeremiah Fisher x Fem!Reader Summary - Jeremiah goes to you for everything, and when you give him a vital piece of love advice, it dawns on him that he is, in fact, in love with you. Warnings - None? Slight mention of underage drinking. Words - 2K
Masterlist
As was common, Jeremiah was at a loss for his several hookups. And, as was even more common, he went to you to debrief and to ask for advice. While he had hookups and situation-ships way more than you did (or anyone in Cousins for that matter), he struggled with how to manage them. At least he did until he started asking you for advice.
He threw himself onto your bed, forcing you to shut the book you had been deep inside. There, staring up at the ceiling, he let out a huff. "What, or should I say who, is it this time?" You raised your brow at him, watching as Jere's wide pupils stared up to the ceiling as if he were replaying some memory over and over.
"Luke." He let the name out in a sigh. "And, And!" He suddenly added as if he had almost forgotten in his daydreaming gaze, "Abi."
He finally sat up, staring at you with them puppy eyes you could never resist. "Two?" You questioned.
"Yes." He said, barely embarrassed by such fact; at this point, it was to be expected. "Reframe from any criticism please."
"I'm not gonna criticise you, Jere." You told him, a sweet smile gracing your lips. "If anything, I don't see what the problem is here."
He took a second before shrugging, "I just- I feel wrong, you know? Guilty." He explained. "Like I'm going behind their backs."
"Okay then, well you either need to tell them both the truth or pick one."
Jeremiah thought about the options for a moment and ran both scenarios through his head until making his decision. "I have to pick one." He said before looking at you, uncertain, "Right?"
"If that's what you want." You comforted him.
At that, he let himself fall once more. This time, right into your lap as he made a dramatic sigh as if this decision was a life-changing one. "What if I don't know what I want?" He questioned, gazing up at you, his sea-blue eyes catching you into his trap.
You let a sniffle of a laugh as you looked down at him, "Oh, trust me Jere, you've no idea what you want. But, that's okay too, sometimes you have to experiment with different people until you know what you want." You went on.
That seemed to spark another question for him, one of which wouldn't leave his head for the next few weeks: "How do I know? Like, how do I know that this is someone who I want a relationship with? A proper relationship, not just a hookup."
For that, you needed to think. As much as you gave Jereimah advice after advice, that was a question he had never asked. "I suppose it has to be someone you feel that spark with. But not just a sexual spark." As you were certain Jere sometimes mistook it for. "A spark that reaches to a deeper, emotional level. Where you feel safe but excited at the same time. A balance, I guess." That was what you assumed anyway. You hadn't had many successful relationships yourself.
But your words had seemed to prompt something for Jere. His eyes washed away, his mind sucking him into his thoughts. Until, after a long moment, he sat back up and with furrowed brows, asked, "How do you know all this? It's not as if you're happily married."
"No need to remind me." You giggled, slapping the side of his forearm.
Of which he chuckled at and defended himself, "I'm serious! You talk all this wise shit and can't even get yourself a date."
You could have scoffed, "I can get myself a date, thank you."
"Really? When was the last time you went on one?"
Then you did scoff, grasping the pillow from behind you and chucking it at Jeremiah's head, only erupting more laughter from the both of you. "You are so rude!"
Only once your mini pillow fight died down and Jeremiah returned home, did that question take over his whole mind. He strolled into the kitchen, pouring himself a glass of milk as he thought over it: how did he know? The only time he felt a spark that wasn't sexual- well, he couldn't quite remember. Everything you had described, the safety but excitement, the emotional connection (and the sexual), well the only person he could ever even suggest he had felt that for was you.
"What's up with you?" His brother's voice broke him from the glare he had been giving the countertop.
His eyes widened, "Huh?"
Conrad and Belly, who had been trailing behind him, both giggled. "You're just a bit...out of it, you know?"
"Thinking."
"That's a first." Conrad laughed.
Jeremiah snapped, "Hey!"
"Go on then," Belly pushed, "What is it you're thinking about?"
The boy sighed, replaying your words once more. "A spark."
"Why's a hookup causing you an existential crisis?" Questioned Conrad, watching his brother in such a focused state that it was becoming a concern.
"It's not a hookup." Jere admitted. "It's Y/n."
Suddenly, that name peaked Belly's interest. She leaned closing, placing her elbows on the kitchen island as she watched the boy carefully, "What about her?" She prompted.
"I went to her for advice, as I always do, and now I can't get it out of my head. She was explaining how for love, you need a spark, an emotional connection, safety..." He stopped there, ever so stunned by his recent realisation.
"And?" Belly pushed on, one brow raised.
Jeremiah sucked in a breath, not making eye contact with either of them as he said, "She basically just described everything I feel for her."
He looked at his brother and his best friend. It was silent. At least for a moment as he took in their unreadable expressions; were they stunned? Embarrassed? Futile? Then, breaking the silence came Conrad's laugh. "You have a crush on Y/n, great." He shook his head. "It took you long enough."
Jere's brows instantly furrowed as he straightened his back, "What? How did you-" He couldn't get his words out.
Conrad looked to Belly, "Come on, back me up. It was obvious."
Jeremiah looked to his friend and Belly could only shrug. "It sort of was." She agreed. "But, now you know, you can ask her out!" Excitement was painted on her words. Belly had been waiting for this for almost longer than yourself.
"I can't do that. She's- She's Y/n. She's my best friend. It'd be weird." The idea was so foreign that it was unbelievable.
"She's your best friend who you're in love with!" Belly argued. "Think about it, please."
With that, she and Conrad left Jeremiah to his thoughts. Once more, you never left his mind. He had been trapped.
For weeks, it was all he could think about. He'd gaze across the other side of the pool at you. Shades covering your eyes as you bathed in the sunlight. There he was daydreaming of everything you would do as a couple. Granted, it was pretty much the same as how things were now, only littered with kisses and hugs and greater smiles than either of you had ever made before.
It came to the point where he was just bursting to tell you. But he waited. He had to wait until the right moment. He couldn't do it by the pool, with Steven and Belly watching. He would wait for the perfect moment. And when the group of you arrived at a local party, he knew maybe tonight would be the night.
A few drinks down, he caught you by yourself. You had wandered to the backyard, sitting on the stairs that led to the porch. He lingered by the patio door, watching you as you sat alone for a moment. Your curious expression was emphasised by the fairy lights which tangled over the wooden fencing, flashing pinks and purples across your cheeks.
You didn't even know Jeremiah was there until he came and sat next to you, your shoulders nudged up against the others. "Enjoying the party?" A smooth smile hung from his lips as he grasped the red solo cup in his hand.
You nodded and glanced over at him, "Yeah, yeah, just needed a break." You excused.
Jere smiled, looking back through the patio doors and the booming party he could still overhear. "That's understandable." He gazed back at you and fell, once more, into your eyes.
"What about you?" You nudged his shoulder playfully. "You're never one to miss a moment from a party. Shouldn't you be looking for Luke? Or, or Abi!" You spat out their names as they flooded back into your memory. You had lost count of all the people Jere had hooked up with.
His smile faulted at the mention of their names, "Erm, no, no. I actually ended things with both of them." He admitted.
"Oh, why?" You raised a brow. "Ended up telling them the truth?"
"No, no." He answered before he looked to the ground, licked his lips and questioned if this was the moment. Something in his mind said fuck it, and he did. "But it was actually because of something you said." Jeremiah couldn't tear his eyes away from you as that curiosity built on your expression once again. "When you were explaining it to me, everything that love made you feel, all the sparks and the connections. That you should feel safe with them but it should be exciting all the same. Well," He took a breath and ran with it. "You're the only person that makes me feel that way."
The air soon became thick with Jeremiah's words as they floated around your mind. This was Jere, your friend, your best friend. The one who had talked non-stop about her and him all while you were nothing but a bystander. Yet, here you were, sitting away from the party the boy was usually the centre of as he professed his love. And you could never deny your feelings in that it wasn't reciprocated.
This time, it was your turn to look to the ground, lick your lips and say: Fuck it. "Jere, I can't deny that you aren't utterly brilliant. I mean, you're incredibly beautiful, and you know it. You're charming and comedic, you bring a room to life. And I love being at your side for all of that, I want to be there in the future too." You took a breath, wondering if your next words were about to ruin that smile that was glued to his lips. "But, it's because I want that, that I want to be your friend. Just your friend." Like that, the smile dissipated. "I can't be some other hookup that you start complaining about because they get too attached, or too clingy. I won't let that be me."
He jumped to take your hands in his. What used to be a simple gesture between the two of you, had suddenly become complicated and you questioned if you should let go. "That's not what you are to me. I would have already tried that on you if that was what I wanted, trust me." He admitted. "This isn't me asking you to kiss me, or to have sex with me or whatever I do nowadays. I'm sat here asking you to be my girlfriend."
The word had been said. It was in the air and it was up to you what you did with it.
And so, you tightened your grip on his fingers and said, "I want you Jere and I trust that you want me to." From there, you leaned in before he could respond, securing a yes with a kiss.

Tumblr media
The sun sets low, casting a warm glow upon the unfamiliar garden. The air is thick with the hum of laughter and music that drifts from the house, and everything seems perfect. It should be perfect. This is the stuff summer dreams are made of, and yet, you’re sitting on the outdoor furniture, alone, and left to your own devices.
Summer so far has been nothing but longing. You had watched as the one boy who had captured your heart at ten spent days at the beach with girls you didn’t even know the names of. And sure, it’s not like you have anything, not even close. But could you blame yourself? Jeremiah was nothing but perfect Carolina-blue eyes and golden skin. He was your summer dream.
The house party was meant to be a distraction, that’s what Steven had said when he tugged you into his car. It’ll be fun, you need to stop being sad all summer. He was nothing but adamant to make this summer the best yet, especially with the overhanging weight that Conrad and himself would be moving to college next year. Steven had never been fond of change, especially not when it came to summers at Cousins.
Steven had long since abandoned you to dance the night away with pretty girls and hooting boys, so instead here you are, sitting alone at a party, trying to fill the Jeremiah-shaped cavity in your heart with fruity drinks and loud music.
Jeremiah hadn’t been in sight when you first arrived at the party, and maybe that was a good thing. You could enjoy yourself for once, without your wandering eyes finding him somewhere with his hand on a girl's waist. Even just the thought of it made you sick to your stomach.
But sometime between then and now, he had shown up. Figures. And now you watch as he makes his way out of the big back doors, down the patio steps, past the pool, until he’s sitting with you in the makeshift gazebo, fairy lights sparkling above.
“Hey trouble,” Jeremiah greets as he sits on the plush outdoor sofa next to you, sidled up close enough that he bumps his shoulder with yours in welcome.
“Hey,” you parrot back, not meaning for the obvious buzzkill tone in your voice.
“What’s got you all bummed out?”
“Dunno.” you reply, eyeing the cold drink you’re balancing on your thigh which leaves a cold ring of condensation on your bare skin. “Did Steven send you to get me?”
Jeremiah’s eyebrows draw together in confusion as he cocks his head to the side. “No? Why would he need to? Can I not check up on my favourite girl?”
You let out a bemused snort, running your finger around the brim of your glass, eyes still not meeting his. Maybe you have had too much to drink.
“Come dance with me,” he says instead, hand outstretched, waiting for yours. You let your head fall against the back of the sofa.
“Not in a dancing mood.”
You don’t know if it’s the drinks or if it’s real, but Jeremiah shakes his head, a soft smile gracing his features as he tucks the stray strands of hair that have fallen in front of your face behind your ear. His hand lingers there a few seconds too long.
“What happened to dancing the summer away?” He questions, and when you finally look up to meet his eyes, he’s much closer than you expected.
“I was fifteen when I said that,” you note, which was almost two years ago now. How does he remember these things?
Jeremiah doesn’t respond immediately so you take your eyes off him, instead you watch the house glow to life, light filling the windows as the dark night begins to blanket the sky. The garden itself is empty with most of the party opting to escape the summer heat by seeking shelter indoors. A few girls are busy by the poolside, and you notice one of them keeps diverting her gaze back to where you and Jeremiah are sitting. Typical.  It was like every girl in Cousins was obsessed with the prospect of at least one of the Fisher boys taking fancy in them. Was it bad that it always made you jealous? Everyone who sees him, wants him, and you wish you could keep him as just yours.
“You have an admirer,” you point out, nodding to the girl by the pool. You must admit, she’s gorgeous. Pretty brown eyes and gorgeous hair that even when wet seems to frame her face perfectly. You slink further down in your seat.
Jeremiah simply rolls his eyes at you. “Well she is pretty.”
And you know he means it as a joke. Can tell by the stupid grin and the tone of his voice. But the words are still like a dagger to your heart, twisting and turning until you can barely breathe - and oh God, you need to get out of here and away from him.
You set the drink down by the sofa, it meets the wooden deck with a too-loud clink before you stand abruptly. You brush down the skirt that had ridden up your legs as the ring of water on your thigh left behind by the glass soaks the edges of it. “I need to go,” is all you can murmur out.
“No, wait-” Jeremiah begins, standing to follow you.
“It’s fine,” you push, faux niceties lacing your voice, smiling as much as the ache in your chest will let you. You can feel the frown on his face burn into your back as you turn to leave, but you choose to ignore it, instead making your way back into the large lively house.
As you pass the pool though, the girl who has been eyeing Jeremiah gets up with a giddy look on her face, she calls to him in a sweet honeyed voice and it makes you sick.
You climb the patio steps, making your way through the lavish interior of the house.
You push through the crowd of people within the house. You just need a moment to yourself, to gather your thoughts and figure out just what the fuck was going on with you. Carefully, you slip into the bathroom, pushing the door shut with the weight of your body before leaning against the sink. You take deep breaths, trying to calm the beating of your heart.
All summer, you had been in some strange sad limbo, and you had blamed Jeremiah for that. For all the girls he had kissed at every party, for the way he made your heart beat and palms grow clammy. But really, was it his fault when you were the one who pushed him away?
Being in love with Jeremiah Fisher was anything but easy, not when you had to dance around the intricate friendship that had blossomed since you were eight years old. You didn’t know what love was until you were fifteen, sitting on the pier with him as you skidded rocks across the ocean. When he had smiled that smile and his eyes sparkled like the entire cosmos was within them. From that very moment on, you were doomed. Every brush of his hand against yours felt like a calculated step, and it was your fault for deluding yourself into believing he had space in his heart for anything more than a friendship with you.
It’s only a million times worse when you’re as close with him as you are, casual flirting and lingering touches was nothing but the norm. So it was especially difficult when he’d grab your hand and lead you through a crowd, or whisper some stupid inside joke just for you in a crowded room, when such a simple touch set your body alight with sparks.
“Knock knock,” you hear the door open softly, Steven’s head poking through. You had forgotten to lock the door, you realise. “Jeremiah thinks you're mad at him.” He informs, voice careful and soft as he closes the door behind him, making his way to you and placing a comforting hand on your shoulder.
You shake your head, unable to find the words to express the turmoil within yourself. Instead, you offer a weak smile letting out a shaky exhale. “Well, I’m not.”
Steven looks amused as he leans with his back against the sink next to you, tilting his head so it falls into your field of vision. “You sure?”
“Very sure.” You confirm.
“I think you’re lying.”
You take another breath, “I’m not mad, i’m just…” your voice trails off as you try to find the words.
“Angry, confused, sad?” Steven offers.
You shake your head as you poke his shoulder, “would you let me speak?”
“Yes ma’am, sorry ma’am,” he throws his hands up in surrender.
“I’m just… tired,” you say, defeated. Steven gives you an apologetic look. He’s known about your not-so-little crush on Jeremiah. How could he not when he seemed to be the only person who could light you up when you were dim and down?
“I’m tired of having to watch him go out with other girls every other day. I mean it’s not like we’re exclusive - we’re definitely not - but I just wish I didn’t feel like throwing up everytime.”
For a second, Steven doesn’t say anything, he looks at you with those eyes he does when he’s thinking. “What’s that thing Susannah always says?”
“What?”
“About…” He blows out his bottom lip as he struggles to remember the words, “about how love is like a flower, it needs time to grow and blossom and you need to nurture it.”
You pause, before cracking a smile. “Never in a million years would I have even imagined you quoting one of Susannah’s cheesy pieces of romance advice.”
Steven rolls his eyes at you, but he can’t help the smile that creeps up on him too. “Look, the point is, love isn’t supposed to be easy. Like, at all. But you really like Jeremiah, and I get it, he can really suck sometimes, especially with the whole hooking up thing,” - he looks up at you as he finishes his sentence, - “but if you love him as much as you let on, you’ve gotta just go for it. You need to stop pushing him away because of your irrational fear.”
Shaking your head, you turn fully to face Steven, crossing your arms defensively across your chest. “Okay, it’s not irrational, it’s completely rational. What if I just end up ruining everything? That’s a super real possibility. I don’t want to lose Jeremiah as a friend, and the risk of running that possibility is way too high.”
“God,” Steven lets out through a sigh, he looks like he wants to strangle you. “Listen to yourself! Maybe if you haven’t been moping around all summer you’d be able to see it.”
“See what?”
“Just go out there and talk to the boy.”
“This’d be a lot easier if you just told me.”
“I think you’d appreciate me a lot more if you figured it out for yourself.” Steven tells you, and he says it in a way that leaves little room to bicker back. He gives you an encouraging nod and a soft smile and for a minute you think he’ll say another stupid thing like go get ‘em tiger! But he graces you with silence and leaves you alone in the small bathroom.
You look back at yourself in the mirror. Maybe Steven is right.

Jeremiah is sitting on the steps of the patio when he hears the sliding glass doors open and shut and the shuffle of Steven’s old sneakers. Immediately, his head swivels so he’s facing his long-time best friend. “So what’d she say? Is she mad?” He blurts out immediately.
“Woah, slow down lover-boy,” Steven says, amusement in his tone. He takes a seat next to Jeremiah, placing his hands either side of himself. “Well, she’s not happy.”
“What the fuck, bro,” Jeremiah grumbles, “you were meant to deescalate the situation.”
“Actually no, I was checking up on my friend, who I care about, and who I haven’t been dancing around all summer long.” Steven corrects.
Jeremiah looks away, unamused, “okay I get it. I haven’t been the best person to her lately.”
“Really?” Steven gasps, faux surprise lacing his tone, “You’ve been avoiding her like the plague and hanging around with random girls like you want her to be upset.”
“I don’t!” Jeremiah is quick to retort. “I’m just…”
“You’re just being a dick.”
“That’s not fair-”
“Look man, I’m not trying to upset you either, but I really don’t get why you’re so scared to confront your feelings. You like her, you like her a lot and it’s so fuckin’ obvious.”
Jeremiah opens his mouth, ready to argue back, but Steven leaves no room for it.
“She literally craves your attention and you’re out here, making out with other girls like she’s not right there. Is this some weird attention grab sort of thing? What, are you trying to make her jealous? This isn’t like you, Jere.”
Steven’s words cut deep. So deep Jeremiah thinks they’ve scarred him, but maybe it’s for the best. No, it’s definitely for the best.
“Think about it,” is the last thing Steven says, before he stands up, giving Jeremiah a reassuring pat on the back, and disappears into the crowd of party-goers within the house.
‧₊˚☆༉‧₊˚.
When you finally feel ready enough to leave the bathroom, you think for a moment about Steven’s words. They kick around in your head. You chuckle to yourself, who knew you’d ever be taking legitimate advice from Steven? But instead of confronting your problems like you should, you pour yourself another drink, turning on your heels as you ascend the glossy white stairs. Whoever’s house this is - in the words of Steven himself - they’re fucking loaded.
The upstairs of the house is empty, albeit a few straggling couples making out in the hallway. You ignore them, noticing the gorgeous open balcony that conjoins to the hallway you’re currently walking down. It’s quiet and empty, a perfect place to spend the rest of the night in peace.
The moon hangs low in the sky now, reflecting off the ocean ahead, and as you step out onto the balcony the cool Summer night’s air bites at your skin.
It's a glorious view for what should’ve been a perfect night. Laughter and music wafts up from the party below, and you let out another regretful sigh, your heart heavy with the weight of unspoken words. As your eyes linger on the ocean, you hear the sound of approaching footsteps. You turn to see Jeremiah standing beside you, and when you look at him, he gives you that sweet smile.
“Hey trouble,” he begins, “you alright?”
You shrug, turning your back to the balcony as you slide your back down the railing, slumping to the floor with your knees tucked under your chin. “Trying to be.”
“Wanna tell me what’s wrong?”
Jeremiah with such a soft voice felt unnatural, and a part of you felt guilty for rendering him so quiet. Silence stretches between both of you like a chasm, as you struggle to find the right words within you to tell him how you truly felt. Instead, Jeremiah fills the silence, his voice hesitant but filled with a quiet determination. “I’m sorry.”
You gave him a perplexed look, “what are you apologising for?”
“For this entire summer,” he says, sitting on the ground next to you as he takes the cool glass from your hands, fingers brushing yours, before he places it on the ground. You tilt your head, curiosity in your eyes as you wait for him to continue.
“I’ve been an asshole. Like, bigtime, and I'm really sorry.” He takes a deep breath, takes your hand in his carefully, softly, like you’re something to be worshipped. To him you are. “And, I… need to tell you something.”
You look up at him, heart racing with anticipation, “what is it?” you all but murmur.
He takes a deep breath, his eyes never leaving yours. “I just-” and when he can’t find the right words, because how is he meant to compress everything he’s ever felt for you into one sentence? It’s impossible. He instead uses his actions.
His hands untangle from yours, grabbing the sides of your face before pulling you into a kiss. He kisses you. He kisses you and the world falls away and there’s nothing but him. At first, you don’t know what to do, it’s all so sudden, but when it finally registers, you want to cry. Not sad tears, and not entirely tears of joy either, tears of relief, tears that carry the weight of all your longing.
When he finally pulls away you’re quick to pull him back, holding him as close as humanly possible as you kiss him with all the fervour you can muster, hoping and praying he can taste the apology on your lips. But when it gets too much, and you need air, you pull away again. He looks at you, and you hold onto the fabric of his shirt tighter because this all feels like a dream.
“She isn’t you.” He murmurs, soft enough it could be carried away by the summer breeze.
“What?” you whisper back, as to not break the sacred quietness.
“She's. Not. You. None of them are, none of them could even dream of being you. They’re not funny like you, not gorgeous like you. They don’t know me like you do - Shit, I sound like a sap.”
You chuckle, “no, please do continue.”
He shoots you that heartstopping grin. “Oh, so you do like it when I flatter you?”
“Love it,” you answer, mirroring his grin.
His features soften for a second, and again, the apologies cascade from his lips. “I’m sorry, for being such an asshole. You deserve so much better than me, I’ve been the worst, and I didn’t mean to make you upset or jealous, I was just… nervous. God, you make me so nervous I do the dumbest shit.”
“I make you nervous?” You can’t help the disbelief in your voice.
“Like you wouldn’t believe.” He says, nothing but sincere. He smiles then, and that makes all of it worthwhile.
You don’t know for how long you manage to get lost in him, but when your thoughts begin to wander, you let the thoughts flow freely from your lips. “Remember when we were ten,” you say, recounting the memory that started this all, “we had snuck out to the beach. We got home so late that night, and we tried to sneak back in, but of course that never works with Susannah. She had said something like-”
“No more sneaking out for the both of you,” Jeremiah continues, “she said we’d had too much fun.”
“But we did it anyway.” You finish, dumbfounded that he remembers that at all. “How do you remember all these things?”
“Because it’s you.” He says it like it’s obvious by now. His pretty blue eyes don’t leave yours for even a second. “I don’t think I’ve loved anyone the way I love you.”
You look at him with that stellar smile he loves so much, but before he can speak, you’re interrupted by the familiar presence of the boy who played cupid.
Steven shakes his head, clear amusement in his eyes. "Finally,” he breathes out, as if it pained him to see the both of you dance around each other all summer. It probably did. His hands are wrapped around a cool glass, it’s empty. “I think this has been quite a night.”
You nod, blissful, turning to meet Jeremiah’s blue eyes. They speak volumes in themselves, a deep ocean blue that sparkles with some form of admiration, you can’t quite figure it out. “Let’s get outta here,” he says, pushing himself off the balcony floor as he extends a hand for you to take, which you do.
Maybe, this summer could be perfect after all.

summer is with you - j.fisher
Tumblr media
part one (a glimpse of summer) - but can be read on its own!
masterlist
pairings: Jeremiah fisher x reader
warnings: fluff
a/n: THERE ARE NO SPOILERS OF SZN2 OR BOOK 2!!!
the door to your bedroom creaks open, you can hear him shushing the old hinges for their squeakiness.
you feel the mattress dip and can smell his shampoo, the smell makes a smile form to your lips as your eyes flutter open to see him staring at you. you could get used to waking up to his beautiful blue eyes.
“good morning.” he whispers gently placing a kiss to your forehead that makes your nose scrunch. you mumble the words back and flip over onto your other side for more sleep. usually you’re up and at ‘em, but summer time is meant for relaxing and taking each day one at a time. you’d have enough Jeremiah for three months.
“what are you doing today?” he asks nuzzling his head into the crook of your neck, you can feel his caramel colored curls tickling your skin making your body’s ticklish reflex kick in and kick his shin.
“trying to sleep.” you mumble shoving your face into your pillow.
“I have work in an hour, will you wake up for me?”he peppers, whatever part of your face is visible to him, with kisses before he finally leaves your bedroom.
the same hinges squeak yet again, but this time he doesn’t shush them, he just allows them to wake you up, and if that wasn’t enough Conrad’s stomping feet up the stairs certainly did.
“morning!” he calls into your bedroom completely ignoring that you hadn’t even risen out of bed, but the commotion of a summer morning certainly does.
salty hair, golden tan lines, a good book, and frozen lemonade are your company at the beach until Jeremiah’s shift was over. you lay sprawled across your towel listening to the seagulls and the ocean waves crash against the sand while reading.
any minute now you knew you would hear the clap of his flip flops against the sand, you can feel the excitement bubble in your stomach.
“y/n!” you hear him call as he runs against the thick sand, his flip flops kick sand every which way until he finally collapses against the edge of your towel. he’s wearing his red swim trunks from lifeguarding, and was throwing off the tank top they made him wear.
“hi,” you smile up from your book deciding it was no longer important. the beautiful smile and tan skinned boy in front of you was much more exciting than words on a page, “how was work?”
“boring, per usual.”
he takes the chance to kiss your chapped lips, and it’s like he’d been waiting to do it all day. the passion and desire behind it, made you melt as you reciprocate the same energy. his hand tugs on a strand of knotted hair from the waves, your mouth opens in response allowing his tongue to slip inside your mouth. he’d waited hours to kiss you.
“what’s all this for?” you pull away placing your hand on his visibly rising chest. his smile widens allowing you to see his pearly white teeth as he just shrugs, “can a guy miss his girlfriend?”
you nod pressing a gentle kiss to his lips before collapsing back against the sand, “just lay with me, jere.” you open your arms up and he doesn’t take a second to think before resting his head against your chest.
“I could spend all day here with you.” he sighs settling his body against yours. your legs naturally intertwine with one another, his fingers rake through your hair.
“cousins and you are my favorite.” you say with a long happy sigh as you close your eyes. you listen to his breathing pattern, the seagulls chattering, and the sound of the ocean. you could lose track of time here, and somehow you always do, because august always comes so soon.
“you’ll always be my favorite part of cousins, y/n.”

Under the moonlit sky of the golf course, everyone was getting ready for bed. Steven and Taylor had gotten tablecloths and cushions from the debutante ballroom. It wasn’t as comfortable as a real bed, but it was better than sleeping on the grass. At least it was summer. And thank god it wasn’t pouring rain.
Not feeling tired yet, you decided to walk around. These past nights, your dreams have been haunted by bright blue eyes and a sweet smile, as if pressing you to make a move on Jeremiah Fisher. You shared a kiss on the boardwalk last summer and didn’t stop thinking about it all year. It was embarrassingly pathetic.
Talking about Jeremiah, you spotted him by the golf cart, folding tablecloths to make blankets. A smile curled on your lips and you walked toward him.
‘’Hey, Jere.’’
‘’Hey,’’ he returned, short and dry.
A frown drew between your eyebrows. ‘’Do you want to go inside and finish the movie?’’
‘’Not really. It’s kinda late.’’ He continued folding the tablecloths, completely ignoring you.
‘’Oh. Okay.’’ You nodded, understanding. It was late. ‘’If you ever need a place to sleep tomorrow night, you can come to my house. I’m sure my parents—’’
‘’That’s very kind of you, but no thanks.’’
You lowered your eyes at the grass, watching it slip between your toes in your sandals. You were trying to be kind, but he obviously didn't want your help.
He was still upset about the house and his aunt and dad teaming up to sell it, but there was something else. Something related to you.
Last night, on the boardwalk, he was sweet and touchy and even gave you some of his candy he and the boys won. Now, he was a different person. Cold. Distant. It’s like he didn’t want to talk to you, to be with you.
You could only think of one thing related to you that Jeremiah could be acting strange over.
‘’Is it because of the kiss we shared last summer?’’
You hadn't talked about it since it happened and kisses often make things awkward in friendships.
Jeremiah shook his head. ‘’It’s not that,’’ he said. ‘’I…I liked the kiss.’’
‘’Then why do you keep pushing me away? Since you arrived in Cousins, you’ve been so confusing. You almost hold my hand in the theater and now you push me away like I have plague. I can’t decipher those mixed signals, Jeremiah. I'm not a detective, I'm a teenage girl.’’
With a deep breath, Jeremiah looked directly into your eyes. ‘’Because when I’m alone with you, all I think about is kissing you and if I kiss you, I don’t know that I can ever stop.’’
His words hung in the air, mixing with the crickets' chirp, a confession of feelings you were not expecting to hear tonight — or ever. Your heart started beating faster in your chest, realizing that you had been wrong about Jeremiah. He wasn’t giving you mixed signals because he was playing with you, he was giving you mixed signals because he was scared of his feelings for you.
You opened your mouth to speak, but Jeremiah spoke first.
‘’Life has been really hard these past months, but I never wanted to push you away. I wanted to call you after our kiss, I wanted to ask you on a date and hold your hand and kiss you again. But I found out about my mom and I couldn’t think about anything else,’’ he admitted, his voice soft and earnest.
You looked into his eyes, searching for any sign of insincerity, but you didn’t see any.
‘’When I saw you at Rosie’s, I was so happy.’’ A genuine soft smile tugged at his lips, thinking back to two days ago. ‘’Seeing you face to face is much better than through your instagram.’’
You raised an eyebrow at him. ‘’You stalked my instagram?’’
Jeremiah covered his face and groaned, embarrassed. ‘’Is that all you picked up?’’
You uncovered his face and intertwined your fingers with his. ‘’No, but it’s an interesting anecdote. I didn’t know you were the type of guy who stalked girls on social media.’’
‘’I’m not!’’ he defended, regretting saying that now.
‘’I know.’’ You chuckled. ‘’I’m just teasing you.’’
A sense of warmth and comfort enveloped the two of you, the tension that had been lingering between you dissipating. Although all of your friends were sleeping a few meters nearby, it felt like there was no one else in the world but the two of you. Especially when you looked up into his eyes. It’s so easy to get lost in their beauty and forget everything else.
Jeremiah let out a small laugh, relieved that you were taking his confession and embarrassment in good spirits. He looked down at your lips, thinking about the last time he tasted the vanilla cupcake lip gloss on them. Were you still wearing the same? It probably wore off by now, but Jeremiah was dying to know if you tasted the same.
Taking a small breath of courage, he leaned in closer, closing the distance between you and gently pressed his lips against yours. The kiss was soft and tender, Jeremiah’s hand coming to cup your face gently while yours reached his shoulder to pull him down to your height.
When you broke apart, you smiled against his lips, dying to kiss him again. ‘’Do you want to set your blanket next to mine?’’ you suggested, glints of hope in your eyes.
Jeremiah nodded. ‘’If that’s okay with you.’’

Moonlight Confessions - Jeremiah Fisher x Reader
Tumblr media
Summary: You can't sleep so slip into bed with Jeremiah like you used to do as kids
Words: 1.8k
Warnings: none, just fluff
Notes: I have a new character obsession but ill still write alll my old characters I promise
Y/N’s POV
The night hangs heavy around me as I lie in bed, surrounded by the hushed symphony of the beach house settling into the quietude of the late hour. Moonlight spills though the half-closed curtains, casting ethereal shadows on the wall. The rhythmic murmur of the waves serves as a lullaby, yet instead of being soothing, it only accentuates the restlessness within.
I toss and turn, the sheets twisting around me like a futile attempt to escape the grip of insomnia. The wooden floorboards beneath creak softly in response to my every movement, the house itself seemingly alive with memories and secrets. The air is thick with the scent of salt, a subtle reminder of the proximity of the ocean just beyond the windows.
A gentle sigh escapes me, and I sit up, the moonlit room offering a muted palette of grass and blues. The sea breeze slips through the open window, carrying with it the salty tang of the ocean and a faint hint of sunscreen lingering on my skin from a day spent under the sun. It’s a scent that feels like summer, a tangible reminder of days filled with laughter and quiet moments. The beach house, usually echoing with the laughter of friends that have become family and the clinking of glasses, is now draped in a serene quietness. The only sounds are the distant waves, the occasional creaks of the house, and the soft rustle of leaves outside the window. The night is alive with a different kind of energy, one that invites introspection and quiet contemplation.
I glance at the clock; its numbers glow faintly, indicating the lateness of the hour. Frustration wells up within me as the thoughts in my head refuse to quiet down. The weight of uncertainty presses on my chest, and the moonlight, once a friend, now feels accusatory, illuminating the shadows of doubt.
With a resigned sigh, I slip out of bed, the coolness of the wooden floor soothing against my bare feet. The moonlit room is empty, and the stillness is almost palpable I find myself standing by the window gazing out at the silver expanse of the ocean, debating whether to go for a late night swim. The rhythmic lull of the waves seems to beckon, promising a brief escape from the tangled thought that refuse to let go.
However, a different impulse guides me tonight. There’s a yearning for connection, for a presence that might understand my sleeplessness. My bare feet carry me down the hallway, each step a whisper against the aged floorboards. The soft glow of the moonlight follows me, casting a silvery trail towards Jeremiah’s room.
I hesitate for a moment, hand resting on the doorknob, wondering if I’m intruding. But the pull is undeniable, and with a gentle push, the door opens. The room is awash in the same moonlight, giving it an almost magical ambiance. My eyes find Jeremiah’s form, asleep and seemingly at peace. He lies sprawled across the bed, one arm flung lazily over his head, the other resting against the pillow. The soft rise and fall on his chest speaks of a deep, undisturbed slumber. Moonbeams play on the edges of his tanned features, casting gentle shadows that dance in tandem with the ebb and flow of the ocean outside.
In the quiet room, I can hear his rhythmic breathing, a sound that harmonises with the distant waves. The worries etched onto his face during waking hours are softened in the moonlight, leaving behind the serenity of someone unburdened, if only for the night. A smile tugs at my lips as I watch him, realising that the moonlit room holds a different kind of tranquility with him in it. His vulnerability while asleep is endearing, and the knots of restlessness within me begin to loosen.
With each step, the floor beneath me barely creaking, I move across the room towards him. The moonlight bathes the space in a silvery glow, and as I reach his bedside, I find myself inexplicably drawn to the warmth emanating from his sleeping form. Gently, I lift the duvet, the fabric rustling softly in the quiet room. I slide into the bed beside him, careful not to disturb his peaceful repose. The mattress gives a subtle sigh beneath my weight, and I hold my breath for a moment, hoping to preserve the serenity of the night.
As I settle beside Jeremiah, the contrast between the coolness of the sheets and the warmth of his presence is palpable. The moonlight paints a soft halo around his features, casting shadows that plat on the contours of his face. His eyelashes rest against him cheeks, and the faint moonlight lines on his skin tell stories only visible when the world is hushed
I watch him for a moment, laying on my side, facing him, a cascade of mixed emotions washing over me. The quiet intimacy of the moonlit room and the closeness we share creates a bubble, shielding us from the uncertainties of the waking world.
Unable to resits the urge to touch, I reach out and trace a gentle line along his jaw, my fingertips barely grazing his skin. He stirs, a subtle shift in his breathing, and a small smile plays on his lips as if he sense my presence even in his dreams.
“Mouse?” He mumbles, my nickname making my cheeks heat up, voice heavy with sleep as his eyes flutter open, adjusting to the dim light. Confusion flickers in his gaze for a moment before recognition settles in, a sleepy smile graces his lips as he meets my eyes, “What’s wrong?”
“Couldn’t sleep,” I admit, my fingers now tracing aimless patterns across his cheek, feeling the smile as well as seeing it deepen as he shifts to pull me closer to him.
He wraps his arms around me in a warm embrace, the duvet a soft cocoon around us. The scent of his skin and subtle musk of the room creates a comforting atmosphere, and I rest my head against the curve of his shoulder, feeling the steady rhythm of his heartbeat beneath my cheek. Jeremiah, still half-asleep, responds by pulling me even closer until there’s no space between us. The contours of our bodies fit together as if they were pieces of a puzzle meant to be connected. The room is filled with a quiet intimacy, the kind that words struggle to capture.
His fingers train through my hair, a gentle rhythmic motion that lulls me into a sense of peace, “You can always come to me,” He murmurs, his voice a soft whisper in the silence.
A contented sigh escapes my lips as his touch soothes the restlessness within me. He cups my jaw with his hand, his thumb rubbing over my cheek soothingly. The moonlight painting a silver glow on his face, highlighting the warmth in his ocean blue eyes as he gazes at me.
“Better?” He asks, his voice a gentle hum against my ear.
I can just nod, feeling a weight lifted off my shoulders in the quiet sanctuary of his arms, replaced with something different. Something so familiar yet foreign, like a feeling I’ve pushed down over and over again until it can’t be contained anymore. My thumb brushing over Jeremiah’s bottom lip tentatively, as if testing a theory and it’s no longer a theory when his breath hitches.
We linger in that suspended moment, our eyes locked in a silent exchange that speaks volumes. The room is charged with an unspoken understanding, the air thick with anticipation. Neither of us is sure who should make the first move, and the vulnerability that hangs between ys is both exhilarating and nerve-wracking.
My thumb traces a path over Jeremiah’s lips once more, and this time, there’s no mistaking the subtle shift in the atmosphere. It’s a quiet invitation, a whisper in the language of touch that bridges the gap between uncertainty and desire. His eyes, already darkened pools of warmth, flicker with a newfound intensity. His gaze drops to my lips, and in that shared gaze, an unspoken agreement forms. It’s a mutual acknowledgment of something unexplored yet palpable, a connection that has lingered beneath the surface.
Cautiously, almost tentatively, Jeremiah move his face closer, his breath warming the small space between us. The seconds stretch into an eternity as we hover on the precipice of a moment that could redefine the contours of our relationship.
His lips brush against mine in the softest of touches, a delicate exploration that speaks of uncharted territory. It’s a dance of closeness, of discovering the texture and taste of something that, until now remained in the realm of unspoken possibilities. His lips are warm, molding against mine with a gentle insistence that feels like a secret shared. The touch is soft but laced with a quiet intensity, a magnetic pull that bridges the space between us. There's a tenderness in the way his lips move, as if tracing the contours of a story that has yet to be written.
The sensation is both electrifying and comforting, a paradox of emotions that bloom in the simple act of this newfound intimacy. His lips are a revelation, unveiling a language that transcends words. Each brush and caress feels like a promise, a silent vow exchanged in the hallowed silence of the moonlit room.
There’s a faint taste lingering on his lips, a subtle essence that is uniquely Jeremiah. It's a blend of warmth and something indefinable, a taste that imprints itself on my senses like the lingering notes of a melody. It's a flavour that I never knew I craved until this moment, a discovery that adds a new layer to the complexity of our connection.
As we kiss, the world outside the room fades away, leaving only the cadence of our breaths and the quiet symphony of the night. Jeremiah's hand, now placed on my hip, grips me like I’m going to disappear and I’m not much better myself. My hands are tangled in his blond curls and pressed against his chest as he continues to kiss me senseless.
“Jere,” His name is spoken in less than a breath, as if speaking any louder would break the moment and I just feel his smile against my lips.
“Yeah?”
“This isn’t… I like you… I don’t-“
He pulls back enough to meet my gaze, an amused look on his face as he watches me fumble over my words, before he whispers out four words I could not be happier to hear: “I like you too.”
“You do?”
“Go to sleep Mouse.”
“Make out with me.”
“Don’t have to tell me twice.”

Life Jacket - Chapter 1
Conrad Fisher x Eldest Conklin Sibling Reader
I just wrote this so quickly cause it was sitting in my head and it had to get out. Go read this post for an idea of what this series will be! I'm very excited about it!
Here's Part One!!!
Word Count; 1.2K
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Cousins. Lots of mixed emotions came with going to Cousins. I loved it I really did, but I wasn’t blessed with the privilege of experiencing the blissful, worry-free love like my sister. Things still followed me to Cousins, responsibilities. And I always was stuck wishing they didn’t.
My siblings got to go swimming whenever they wanted, I had to swim once a day to “keep up with it” in my parents' words, mainly my Dad. I know they don't mean it. That in their hearts they do it out of love. Cause I do love swimming, I really do, but sometimes I wish reality could go on pause so I could live freely for a little while. With no concerns, or right way or wrong way, just me doing as I please. Without my Dad here the past two summers it helped. He’s harder on me than Mom. I grew up to realize it was just cause he didn’t really know how to be a parent. Does anyone really?  But his way of showing me love as a parent was by promising my success and ensuring my future. Well, I got recruited to Harvard's swim program with a scholarship so I guess his way of love kind of worked.
Despite everything, Cousins meant I got to see them. Susannah, Jeremiah, and him. Conrad. He was what stirred my emotions about Cousins the most. I’d had a crush on him for as long as I could remember. But I couldn’t tell him. I couldn’t jeopardize our families like that.  I didn’t have time for boys. I had tried to date here and there, but everyone got bored, or mad that I “didn’t have enough time for them”. I couldn’t even get upset because they were right. I didn’t have time for them like normal high school girls did. I couldn’t hang out after school, I had swim practice and very few high school boys wanted to hang out just to do homework together once I got home if you know what I mean. I couldn't afford to be distracted, so I let them all go. I couldn’t do that to Conrad, put him in that situation. I also think I couldn’t do it to myself. The other boys didn’t matter, but him? Losing him would crush me so hard that I don’t think I would recover.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I drove to Cousins with Steven in my car.  I had saved up all summer and bought my trusty Volkswagen Passat last Fall. That was another pro about Cousins, the money. I've worked as a lifeguard at the club since I was 15, and I also did swim lessons there as well as private lessons. Those people will pay real well to have an all-star swimmer teach their three-year-old how to float I’ll tell ya.
“So you excited to work this summer?” I asked Steven. He got a job at the pool snack stand at the club and I had helped Jeremiah get a position as a lifeguard.
“Yeah, I guess, I’m excited to make big bucks like you have been all these summers.” He smiled at me making me instantly light up. Steven just had a natural energy to him that brightened people's moods.
We jammed out to music for the rest of the drive and before I knew it we were pulling in the driveway. I noticed my mom's car wasn’t here yet. Knowing her and Belly, they probably stopped for snacks. Man, this house. I dreamed about this house. It was absolutely beautiful. I honked, our signal to them we had arrived.
Jeremiah was the first one to run out to see us, but Susannah was not far behind. Conrad was nowhere to be seen, odd. I didn't have time to think about it though as Jere scooped me up in a big hug and spun me around. I noticed then how much he had grown since last summer. He probably started working out and he definitely grew a couple of inches. As we said hello he had a huge smile on his face, he usually did Jere was always a golden retriever in human form.
Then Susannah came up to me. when Susannah hugged me it was like life went on pause, the way I always wanted it to. In her arms I was safe, in her arms I was still just her baby, the first born girl.
“ Wow Y/N look at you, my precious girl, you've bloomed," Susannah said to me as she held the sides of my face. I never doubted a word Susannah said, the way she said things made me believe them. Susannah never said it and neither did I, but we were each other's favorites. She always spoiled me, she always was my number one fan. Susannah had a level of enthusiasm to her that most people didn't have. It probably wasn't fair for me to call her my favorite. She got to love me like a mother and spoil me like the fun aunt, and she never had to give me any of the negatives. So yes it probably wasn't fair for her to be my favorite, which is why I only ever told her private.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We all walked back inside, Susannah and Jere helping Steven and me carry in our bags. Still no Conrad. I dropped my bags on the floor as I scanned my eyes around my room. Nothing out of place, everything was as I left it. I really do love this room. It was bigger than my one back home, it even had a small walk-in closet.  Conrad and I had the biggest rooms, we were the oldest so we got the first pick of rooms.
I'm mindlessly unpacked for a while before hearing the same signal I had done myself just a bit earlier, Mom and Belly were here. I didn't rush down after all, I had seen them just a few hours ago. I thought it was okay to let them have their own proper reunion with the Fishers. So I finished putting the rest of my clothes in my drawers before I went downstairs. However, when I open my bedroom door, I open it to find Conrad with his hand in mid-air as if he were about to knock.
“Whoa- oh, hi,” I said somewhat skeptically, he had just appeared out of nowhere, where had he been when I would got here? He cleared his throat, shuffling his feet somewhat awkwardly as he put his arm down from its spot in the air and clasped his hands behind his back.
“Hey, um I was uh coming to say hello!  I was down at the beach surfing all morning, I didn't even realize you were here until your mom pulled up and you weren't with her.” He seemed nervous for some reason, I wasn't sure why.
“Don't worry about it, was the surf any good?”
He smiled at me then, “ Yeah it was so good, I lost track of time.” I smile back at him, I had missed him.
“Glad to know you missed my entrance for something worthwhile.” He laughed, me along with him before his face went back to being relaxed. He stared at me in silence for a few moments before suddenly, before I could even realize what was happening, Conrad had his arms around me. Conrad was hugging me. It was nice, but odd. Conrad wasn't the most affectionate person and this was very out of the blue.
“I'm happy you're here Y/N.” He whispered, slightly muffled by my hair. We backed away as I said,
“Me too.”  The silence stretched a moment too long for my level of comfort. He was too intoxicating, his gaze on me was all consuming, I had to get out of there. “I'm going to go say hi to my mom and my sister.” I rushed out, going past him down the stairs before he even replied.
This summer was already off to an interesting start.
Tumblr media
“Y/N, wake up!” You hear someone whisper.
You mumble something you don’t even remember, shoving your face deeper into a pillow. You think whoever was trying to wake you left, and so just as you were about to fall back asleep a pillow hit your back.
You look up to see Jeremiah with a pillow in his hand… and he was shirtless. You lazily stared at his abs before he smacked your face with pillow.
Fuck, did he notice?
“C’mon! It’s Belly’s birthday, we gotta go get up before her.” He says.
“Wha—“ You start, cut off with another pillow to face. You reach your arm out to snatch the pillow away, but he pulls it out of your reach.
“What time is it?” You ask, rubbing your eyes.
“8:00”
“What the hell—“
“It’s Belly’s birthday, we gotta decorate the kitchen before she wakes up.” He explains, throwing the pillow back onto your bed.
It was her birthday? Shoot, why didn’t anybody tell you? You would’ve gotten her a gift, you know you just met her and all but still.
“I’ll be down in a bit.” You mumble, shoving your face back into your pillow.
Maybe you could get her a gift later? What does she even like?
“Okay, make sure to brush your teeth… I can smell your breath all the way from over here.” He exaggerates, jokingly grimacing as he plugs his nose.
“Shut up!”
And before you knew it, you were back asleep. You were exhausted from the night before. After Belly joined in on your guys’ movie marathon, she shortly fell asleep and whenever you would close your eyes for longer than 5 seconds, Jeremiah would be the one to poke you, waking you up. It wasn’t until after the movies were over, Jeremiah woke Belly up and the two didn’t even have a chance to leave before you were passed out.
You rubbed your eyes hastily, jumping out of bed after you heard the multiple “heys” coming from downstairs.
Grabbing the first shirt and shorts you saw, you sped walk downstairs, following the voices.
“….Conrad, uh, do you wanna give Belly your present?” You hear Susannah ask.
It’s quiet for a few moments, before Conrad responds, “Sorry… I forgot.”
Nobody noticed you yet as you watch the side of Belly’s face fall, a small frown on her lips.
An awkward pause of silence washes over before Belly quickly recovers, “Oh. That’s cool— I wasn’t really expecting anything anyways.”
Another awkward pause happens until your mom spots you. “Ah, there’s Y/N!”
You watch as all eyes fall on you, your mom getting up from her spot on the couch and making her way to you. She pulls out a small box from her front pocket, giving it to you. She mouths the words; “We’ll talk later”
You give her a tight lipped smile, before she makes her way back to her spot. You follow quickly, giving the box to Belly as you say “Happy Birthday.”
Belly sends you an appreciative smile, “Aw, Y/N. You really didn’t have to get me anything.”
“Pfttt, of course I did.” You say, watching as she opened the box. It was a pair of earrings along with a necklace. Her smile widens, “Thank you!”
Conrad makes an excuse, before exiting the room as Belly smiles once falls again.
“Hey, why don’t we practice driving before we have to go pick up Taylor from the bus station?” You hear Jeremiah say.
Who the hell is Taylor?
-
“I can’t believe you would sleep in like that!” Your mom lectures you after pretty much everybody left the house. Jeremiah invited you to go witness “Belly’s terrible driving skills” but you mom quickly shot him down.
“I didn’t know—“ You start, uncomfortably sitting at the edge of her bed.
“Really? Because didn’t Jeremiah wake you up?”
“Well, yeah—“
“Jesus, Y/N. Why are you acting like this? I didn’t raise you—
“Oh, I don’t know! Maybe because you’re forcing me to stay here when I can stay with Dad!” You interrupt.
Before your mom could even get a chance to go off at you, a knock on the door stops her. She exhales before opening the door.
Susannah stands there with a smile on her face, “Hey, I was wondering if I can take Y/N out for shopping? I need to get some stuff for tonights dinner, It would be a great time to get to know her better.”
Your mom stays quiet for a moment before nodding, “Yeah, I’m sure it’ll be fun.”
You follow Susannah outside to her car, silent as you sat in the front seat. You put your seatbelt on before you realize that Susannah wasn’t making any move to put hers on.
“Y/N, look, I know how it must feel to be staying at some random strangers house. But, I’ve known your mom for a while. And she has her reasons, okay?” She tries to explain, staring at you with a look of empathy on her face.
You bite your tongue, trying to stop yourself from saying anything rude. You appreciated Susannah letting you stay here, she was nice, had amazing sons, well one of them at least, and she was an overall sweet person. It was just… you missed home. You missed your friends, you missed your dad, and it feels weird being here. You feel out of place, like an intruder. Everybody knows everybody but you.
“I just wanna go home.” You mumble, leaning your head against the car door.
She stays silent for a moment. “… Okay, how bout we make a deal?”
This perks your interest as you lift your head to look at her.
“If you still wanna go home by the end of this week, I’ll talk to your mom and see about flying you home.”
Your eyes widen, “Wait really? You’d do that?”
“Yes, but only if your mom is on board. Just try to stay on your mom’s good side until then?” She suggests, sending you a wink causing you to laugh.
“Okay, okay, deal.” You say, trying your hardest not to smile from ear to ear.
She starts the car, “I actually need stuff for Belly’s birthday dinner tonight but we can stop for some pies and eat them in the car. Just don’t tell anybody.”
-
By the time you’re back at the house, you notice Jeremiah’s red jeep back in the driveway. You felt fat and full after splitting a pecan pie with Susannah and just wanted to sleep it off.
You helped get the groceries out of the car, setting them inside on the counter. Your mom was nowhere to be found, thank god so you didn’t have to continue the lecture from earlier… at least for now.
As you were about to grab the last bag, you spot Conrad and his girlfriend, whatever her name is, walking to the backyard.
Oh god were they about to make out in the pool or what? Why’d he even bring her? It’s Belly’s birthday and he just brought his girlfriend over like they weren’t arguing a few days ago? Pathetic.
“Do you need help with putting these away?” You offer Susannah once your back inside, she shoos you away, claiming you should go hang out with the rest of the kids.
You shoot her a appreciative smile, your arms sore from carrying all those bags as you went from store to store.
Opening the sliding door, the first people you notice are Conrad and his girlfriend sitting on the edge, and the next thing is a net with a volleyball flying over it.
“Hey, Y/N! You’re back!” You hear Belly shout, Conrad and his girlfriend both turn to look at you but you ignore them as you make your way closer to the pool.
“Hey.” You say. You finally notice the new face next to her, a dirty blonde in a teal bikini. And you definitely don't miss the dirty look she sends you.
She waits a few moments, hoping her friend in the bikini would introduce herself but she doesn’t make any effort, still looking at you like you were gum on the bottom of her shoe.
Belly nervously laughs, “Y/N, this is my best friend Taylor. Taylor, this is Y/N. You know the one I was telling you about on the phone?”
“Oh yeah.” Taylor says, forcing a smile your way.
What the hell was her problem?
“Join us! Steven can sit out—“ Jeremiah starts, throwing the ball up in the air but catching it.
“No, no, I never agreed to that!” Steven argues, Jeremiah spins around and guessing by the look on his face or something he said that you couldn’t hear Steven groans before giving in.
“Actually we were about to go to the beach, right Belly?” Taylor speaks.
“Uh, yeah.. Y/N do you want to come?” Belly asks, looking away from her friend to look at you.
Telling by the annoyed look on Taylors face and the way she’s been looking at you, you can tell she doesn’t want you there. Or anywhere around her for that matter.
“No thanks, I’m pretty tired from shopping.” You tried to joke, chuckling to yourself.
“How could you be tired if you slept in this morning?” Taylor quips, shooting you a glare. Belly turns around to shoot her one, causing Taylor to shrug.
“Haha, yeah…” You mumble, scratching your arm. Oh god, the end of the week couldn’t come any faster.
Belly gives you an empathic look, or you think she did, you were too busy staring at your feet.
You didn’t want to go back inside because you didn’t want to seem like coward but you also didn’t want to stay if you weren’t wanted.
Jeremiah was quick to notice your awkwardness, telling you that you could dip your legs into the water on his side and so that’s what you did. Sitting on the edge of the pool, dangling your legs in the water and most important of all, sitting far far away from Taylor.
Instead of Belly and Taylor going to the beach like Taylor said they would, they play a few more rounds of volleyball until Taylor hit Conrad’s girlfriend in the face causing her and Conrad to go inside.
And soon Steven left because his girlfriend called him, causing him to almost drop his phone in the water, and because it was just Jeremiah vs. Belly and Taylor they finally decided to go to the beach.
“Hey, y’know Belly doesn’t care you slept in right?” Jeremiah says, splashing water at you. He swims closer to you, pulling himself out of the pool to sit on the edge next to you.
You roll your eyes, “Her friend does.”
“Taylor? Yeah, she’s a little cray cray.” He says, motioning it with his finger.
You laugh, shaking your head. “How long is she staying?”
“Just a few days, then we’ll be Taylor free for the rest of summer.”
The rest of summer.
“You should get in.” He says, elbowing your side.
“I don’t have a bathing suit.”
He stays silent for a moment, “So?” He pushes you into the water, your body submerging into the cold water as you shoot up coughing.
You can hear him laughing, while you’re basically choking on the chlorine filled water. “You jerk! I didn’t want to get my clothes wet!”
“You can still take them off.” He suggests, watching as you slicked your hair back.
You shoot him a playful glare, “In your dreams.”
“Every dream since I’ve met you.”
You splash him with water, “You’re stupid.”
He stares at you for a moment before tackling you under water, pulling you back up with his arm around your waist. “What’d you say?”
You wipe your eyes, trying to shove him off you but no budge. Your guys’ faces were even closer, your breath hitched. What was gonna happen?
He made eye contact with you a few times, and the times he wasn’t doing that he was staring at your lips. He started leaning in, closer and closer to the point where your noses were almost touching.
You felt like you couldn’t even breathe.
Did you even want this?
And just as he was about to move closer you shoved him away, taking him by surprise.
He backs away quickly, eyes widening.
“S-sorry.. I just… I just don’t really know you.” You say, scratching the back of your neck.
“No, yeah, yeah I shouldn’t have done that. You don’t have to apologize.” He says, eyes still as round as saucers.
“Uhrm… yeah…” You mumble, crossing your arms around yourself as you suddenly felt cold even though you were used to the water.
What a way to kill a mood. Why’d you even do that, damnit.
He nods, placing his lips into a tight line. “I’m gonna…” He closes his mouth, pointing to the house while backing up.
“Okay.” You say, nodding.
You watch him turn around, pull himself out of the water and grab a towel before he quickly goes inside
Leaving you in the pool alone as you stared at the spot he was just at.
POOL CONFESSIONS | j. fisher
Tumblr media Tumblr media
main masterlist | tsitp masterlist
PAIRINGS : jeremiah fisher x reader
SUMMARY : the two friends try to do a movie stunt in a pool, but they end up making there own movie.
WARNINGS : none
NOTES : i haven’t proofread this
“looks like your having fun.” you sarcastically commented while taking a seat beside jeremiah, your bare legs dangling into the cool pool water infront of the pair of you. you glanced over at the boy, concerned at the expression on his face and the tightness of his jaw. he had a solemn look about him as he gazed down at the pool and you knew why. you had accidentally caught him kissing belly in it just the night before but you hadn’t told him. you didn’t want your own emotions to get on the way of his.
“bad memories?” your voice was quieter this time, more reserved, as your curiosity got the best of you. you also wanted to make sure that he was okay since he did not currently look it. “something like that.” he mumbled before finally facing you. his jaw softened but you could tell he was keeping something in. he was mad at something or someone but it wasn’t you, if it was he would’ve already started an argument or atleast made a few passive agressive comments by now.
“what about you?” he leaned back on his hands instead of crossing them and you notice the slight falter in his breath, his chest hitching for a second longer before finally calming down. you pretended not to notice it. “honestly?” you asked with a sigh while looking away from jeremiah and back into the water, “i’m thinking about that scene from dirty dancing right now.” you failed to hide the small smile on your face.
jeremiah shot you a confused look before he finally broke out into a real smile, a soft chuckle leaving him. “when johnny lifts baby up in the water?” he questioned, recognition sparking all over his features. you hummed before facing him fully, a michevouis smirk on your face. “why don’t we do it?” you shrugged as you spoke before lifting up an arm to flex your hardly there muscles, “i’ve gotten pretty strong—“
“why don’t i do the lifting?” he suggested while standing up, pulling off his shirt and jumping in while his shorts on. you laughed while taking off your shirt aswell, leaving you in only pyjama shorts and a sports bra.
you slipped in the water before the effects of his stare took place, a shy smile overcoming you as you faced each other — now soaked in the water and underneath the starlight of cousins. “don’t go shy on me now.” jeremiah teased after shaking his hair, some of its fluffiness coming back before taking steps in the water over to you, “your gonna have to run and jump—“
“run?” you interrupted before he could finish his sentence, “i cant run in deep water.” you reminded him before pushing back your hair so it wouldn’t fall in front your face any longer. “i’ll just,” you paused for a moment, “come at you fast.”
“so run?” he raised a brow and you splashed water towards him, scrunching up your face in annoyance before readying yourself. “just come at me, i’ll catch you.” he promised, bringing his arms out to do just that. “you better.” you mumbled before stretching your body, a little dramatically, to prepare yourself. “just to let you know, the music is playing in my head.” you told jeremiah before you started towards him.
“mine too.” he chuckled before you finally began to move, going as fast as you could to get past the heavy water trying to keep you back until finally his hands were on your waist and he could attempt to lift you. he got you up into the air but perhaps too fast since you had went over him, your hands in the air as if you was flying as you dived back into the pool on the other side of the fisher boy. when you resurfaced he was laughing.
“you came at me too fast.” he joked as you went back to your place from before. “if you can’t handle me, jere, just tell me.” you teased him. the boy chuckled and shook his head, “i can always handle you.” you rolled my eyes at the comment but you still blushed at his attention.
Tumblr media
“if you drop me one more time, then i’m gonna drown you.” you joked as you once again came from underneath the water, slicking your hair back to keep it away from your face and swimming back towards your spot. “i just don’t know my own strength.” he joked, bringing his arms up and flexing the new muscles he had gotten over the year. you tried not to stare too intensely at them and instead kept your eyes focused on his face.
“is that why you keep dunking me?” you questioned with a tilt of your head. he nodded with a grin, bringing his arms out to catch you again. “this time we’ll do it, i know it.” he stated confidently. you smiled, beginning to rush towards him. you had managed to get faster each time. the water was easier to break through and it swiftly moved by you until finally you reached jeremiah.
he caught your waist just like last time and held you up, your hands coming to steady yourself on his shoulders automatically. “don’t worry, i’ve got you.” he mumbled and you could feel your stomach tighten, feeling on fire from his touch. you brought your hands up just like they had in the movie, giggling along with jeremiah’s chuckles before finally he let you down and you were stood infront of him with a sheepish grin still on your face.
“we did it!” you cheered while hugging him, his hands holding your waist tighter as you both celebrated. “i told you we would.” jeremiah stated before you pulled away to look at him again. “your so cocky.” you laughed through your own words. “when a pretty girl like you wants to be in my presence i have every right to be cocky.” he looked smug as he spoke and his hand tightened on you once more. “am i wrong?” he raised a brow as if to challenge you.
you didn’t respond, rolling your eyes playfully and turned to escape his grasp before you exposed the little crush you had on him. but his grip tightened so your movement halted, and you looked back around at his emotionless face. he was staring down at you with an unreadable expression. “jere, you okay?”
he didn’t respond, his eyes glancing down to your lips before he finally kissed you. without warning, without asking he simply pressed his lips against yours like that was the only way to answer your question. once he kissed you, your heart flowed and every muscle in your body relaxed. how much you needed this terrified you. you wondered if everyone felt this way. maybe it was just you, or maybe it was just you and him together.
he pulled away after a few seconds, squeezing your hips as if to ask silently if you were okay, and when you didn’t do anything he spoke. “i always knew i loved you.” he whispered in a hoarse voice that made you involuntarily shiver. you opened your mouth to speak, to say it back, but he stopped you. “i didn’t say it just to hear it said back. i said it to make sure that you knew.”
you spoke just as he finished, “i love you too, jere.” you smiled up at him and he returned it easily, your heart beginning to race again at this bubble of happiness you were confined to as you held each other. you leaned your head up to kiss him once again. this time, he grabbed your throat but didn’t choke you, just brought you so close that when you kissed you weren’t sure whose air you were breathing.
SUMMARY Just a snowy day with Jere at the beach.
SONG Snow On The Beach by Taylor Swift (It's not based on the lyrics but for the vibe the song can be heard.)
REQUESTS ARE OPEN | JEREMIAH'S MASTERLIST | MASTERLIST
"Come on!" you exclaimed running towards the beach, with Jeremiah behind you.
Winter. Your favorite season of the year.
It was the first time you would see snow on the beach and you were really excited.
And there you were, with your boyfriend, well wrapped in a jacket and a wool hat that Jeremiah himself had given you.
You smiled widely looking at everything, it was majestic.
"We should take a picture of this."
Jeremiah quickly took out his phone and pulled you next to him to take a selfie with you and the snowy beach in the background.
You smiled taking his hand and you went further into the sand completely covered by white snow.
You dropped to your knees and then dropped into the snow, opening and closing your legs as your hands moved up and down. Making an angel in the snow.
Jeremiah joined you by lying next to you and repeating your movements, making an angel next to yours.
You looked at your boyfriend and he looked at you with a smile.
"I always wanted to do that." he let out a slight laugh and took your hand that was already cold.
"Reach me if you can." he said getting up quickly.
"Hey no!" you got up quickly too, running after him while listening to his laughter, which infected you and you laughed too.
"You're so slow!" He exclaimed walking backwards when he saw that you were a considerable distance away. When you reached him you tried to grab him but he dodged you. "Please baby, I know you can do better than that."
"You're too tall, Jere." you complained running after him but then you gave up when you got tired.
You dropped back into the snow and saw Jeremiah's body approaching you.
You took his foot with one of your hands and smiled.
"I have you." you said with a wide smile, looking at him and Jeremiah smiled kneeling next to you.
He leaned down to kiss your lips, you kissed him back but suddenly you pulled his hand, causing him to fall almost on top of you, but he managed to fall next to you, making you both laugh.
A big smile remained on your lips as you looked at the sky, you could feel Jeremiah's gaze on you, which made you smile even more.
"I'm freezing." you commented and heard him move to get up and offer you his hand.
"Let's go back to the house." You took his hand and he helped you up, already on your feet again, he put his arm around your shoulders to walk together towards the summer house.
Could i get a conrad x reader smut where they are in a secret relationship/fwb and at the end maybe admit they like each other or start dating?
tangled up with you | c.fisher x reader
Tumblr media
a/n: ahh i had such a good time writing this one for you! thank you so much for the request love <3
warnings: SMUT (minors DNI!), unprotected sex (wrap it before you tap it!!), swearing, mentions of weed usage.
sneaking around with my best friend’s older brother made life so exhilarating, maybe because of the risk tied to it. i know that if jeremiah were to find out about conrad and my secret relationship that’s been going on for the past eight months, there’s the possibility of losing my best friend.
according to jeremiah, conrad and steven were not allowed to date or hook up with me. i was off limits. i was jeremiah’s best friend since the second grade and the last thing he ever wanted was for things to get complicated with his brothers (steven is basically another brother to him) having a relationship with me.
but feelings are feelings, they can only be suppressed for so long before moves are made.
and maybe the incredible sex tied to conrad fisher sways that statement.
i look out my bedroom window to see the jeep park on the side of the road. the silhouette of the golden haired fisher brother bobbing his head to the music. i giggle before turning to my vanity mirror to check myself out for the last time.
i fixed up my hair, touched up my mascara and lip gloss before spritzing myself with my signature perfume. i grab my phone that sat on my bed before scurrying down the stairs and yelling to my parents that i’m heading out.
i slide my vans on as i make my way over to conrad’s car. i open the door and he’s already smiling at me,
“hey pretty lady,” he winks, making me flush pink.
“hey handsome,” i say back as i settle into my seat, he cradles my face before pulling me into a long kiss. something we’ve both been craving for after pretending for the whole day around steven, belly, and jeremiah that we were, of course, only friends.
his lips tasted like mint and his chapstick, i smile into the kiss and i feel his lips turn upwards in response.
“you ready?” he asks after pulling away, i nod excitedly.
conrad always takes me to new places around cousins, we typically sit on the roof of the car and talk endlessly for hours into the night. sometimes we will smoke a j together, often making out and touching each other in places that isn’t normal for friends to touch.
the weeknd hums quietly as we drive in the night, his large and vascular hand placed highly on my thigh. his long fingers slowly crawling up to my centre. i feel myself getting more excited when his hand is centimetres away from my core.
he pulls away which makes me pout while he puts the jeep into park and steps out the door. he comes to my side of the car and opens my door, he offers his hand as i step out.
conrad brought us to the lighthouse, where waves crashed upon the large rocks and you can see the bright reflection of the moon and stars sparkling on the water. his muscular arms wrap around my waist from behind and we sway side to side, i’m taking in the beautiful sight.
he places gentle kisses on the back of my neck, and i tilt it to the side to give him better access. i can feel him smile at the action as he carefully sucks at the soft skin.
“this view is beautiful,” i tell him, turning around to put my arms around his neck,
“yeah?” he asks with a smirk, “well my view is better.”
his eyes flicker down me and back up to my eyes,
“you’re so cheesy”
“i love you, baby” he kisses me again,
i kiss him back passionately, my fingers getting tangled up in the locks of hair at the back of his head, “i love you so much more.”
so stands two teenagers, desperately in love, making out by the cousins lighthouse in the middle of the night. their hands running up and down the sides of each other before conrad pulls her back towards the car to continue their fun.
we both crawl into the back seat, he lays me down carefully across the three seats as he hovers over me. he removes his shirt in one motion before leaning down fo connect our lips again.
our teeth and lips are clashing as his tongue swipes across my bottom lip, i open my mouth to greet his tongue as it continues to explore.
his hand inches down my body, giving a soft squeeze to my boob before moving down to the edge of my cotton shorts. i sigh in pleasure as he slips his hand into my lacy thong, his fingers playing with the bundle of nerves that make me lift my hips up for more contact,
“please.” i beg him, arching my back as his lips kiss down my throat,
“relax, my love,” he mumbles against my skin, “i’ve got you.”
i moan out as two digits enter me, slowly but hardly thrusting into my centre, “fuck, you’re so wet.” he groans.
he continues to finger me for a few moments longer to prepare me,
“you ready?” he asks me and i nod, conrad kisses my lips again before pulling down my shorts and his own. his thick cock with veins running up it’s sides slaps his abdomen, released from the constrained boxers they were in.
my mouth basically drools at the sight. i’ve always knew that conrad fisher was handsome, but seeing him in the moonlight with his six pack and erected dick only made the wetness between my legs increase.
i watched intently as he lines himself up before sinking down into me, bottoming out. every vein and inch of his cock stretching me out in the best way possible. my head throws back at the feel of him inside of me as he thrusts deeply into me.
i moan loudly, grabbing the edge of the car seat and the head rest as i feel him nearly hitting my gut.
“fuck!” i cry out as he buries his face into my neck, increasing how hard he’s pounding into me. his hand grabs the back of my right thigh, pushing it to my chest to give himself a better angle to hit my sweet spot.
i bite into his shoulder, making him groan lowly as i feel his dick twitch inside of me. my hands are in a frenzy, clawing his back or pulling at his hair or anything to get him closer to me.
“you like that, baby” he moans as he continues to thrust his cock to my sweet spot that makes the knot in my stomach tighten. i nod quickly, “yes, holy fuck, you feel so good!”
“no matter how often i fuck you, your pussy is always tight for me,” conrad breathes out into my ear, “you feel so good around me, babe”
“m- maybe because your dick is so big,” i stutter out back to him, as i feel my orgasm coming closer.
“are you close?” he asks, “i feel your walls squeezing my cock.”
i moan out in response, unable to form words with the state of bliss im in. i cling onto his shoulders as my legs start to shake,
“fuck, i’m gonna come soon,” conrad groans, throwing his head back in pleasure, “where do you want it?”
“i- i’m” i try to speak, but my eyes keep rolling backwards, “i’m on the pill.”
he looks down at me with lust in his eyes, “are you sure?”
i nod, “fuck, conrad!”
he picks up the pace of his thrusts, now chasing his high. his hand reaches down to start rubbing figure eights on my clit to help me get my orgasm,
“come on my dick, baby” he tells me, “i know you can do it. i’m right behind you.”
“fuck, conrad!” i scream out, “i’m coming!”
“that’s it baby” he pants out
conrad litters my face with kisses as my toes flex upwards and my thighs are shaking. my back arches to his chest as i feel my orgasm crashing down on me all at once.
i release pornographic type moans and all i see is white as my nails claw down his back.
i feel him release inside of me, his warm coating my walls as he slowly thrusts me through my orgasm. he eventually pulls out and grabs a baby wipe that he stored under the driver to seat to clean me and himself up. conrad helps me put my clothes back on and kisses my shoulders while he pulls my t-shirt on.
we drive quietly back to my house where he kisses my goodnight before i exit the jeep. right as i open my front door i feel my phone buzz in my back pocket,
con <3:
goodnight my sweet girl, i hope you had as much fun as i did tonight! i love you so so much❤️
i blush at the text and turn around to the road where i see him blow a kiss in my direction. i pretend to catch it and place it on my heart before sending one back. i see a smile etch onto his face before driving off.
y/n <3:
i always have fun when i’m around you, sweet dream baby :) i love you!
ONE SHOT !
Summary: Jeremiah and Conrad taking care of their sister.
Warnings: JUST FLUFF, maybe a little bit swearing and crying.
Requested by: Anonymous
───────────────────────────
''Connie!'' she exclaimed. I heard my mother yelling loudly, her voice sounded concerned -- here I was, being stung by a jellyfish and crying like a little baby because of the sting I got.
There were two of us in the kitchen when Conrad came running downstairs, looking for mom. The second he saw us, he immediately ran towards us, his eyebrows furrowed, and his voice filled with worry "What happened?"
"Well your sister was trying to surf earlier, I told her no because there would jellyfishes out there but she wouldn't listen!" Mom scolded me, I looked at Conrad with tears in my eyes -- his mouth frowning.
I saw Conrad going beside my mom, rubbing her shoulder, "She's going to be fine, don't worry. I'll clean it mom" my mom just nodded before she went back upstairs to continue cleaning.
─────────────────────────
"IT BURNS!!!" As I screamed, I got up from my seat and sat down on the floor, lying down there sobbing like crazy, I heard Jeremiah run down the stairs, he immediately running to the kitchen after hearing me scream.
"Connie please PLEASE make it go away" I yelled.
"What happened, Connie? y/n?"
"She got stung by a jellyfish"
"Oh you poor girl" Jeremiah frowned before walking towards me, holding onto me -- trying to keep me calm as much as possible.
Conrad panicked, "Shh shh, you're going to be alright okay okay". He went and grabbed me and sat me down on the kitchen counter while Jeremiah was by my side for emotional support.
"Okay, I have to clean so It might sting okay" Conrad said, going towards the cabinet to get some peroxide then kneeling down so he can see my feet better.
"YOU SON OF A BITCH" I yelled, accidentally hitting Conrad on the head. Jeremiah chuckled, laughing at me and Conrad.
Conrad winced, looking up at me and glaring at me. I just smiled awkwardly. "I'm sorry" he just smiled and went back into cleaning my feet.
───────────────────────────
After Conrad had cleaned my feet, they decided to put me into a bathtub and soak my feet in hot water for a while.
He then set me down on the couch so that he could monitor me every so often and also see if I had any bad reactions to the sting as a result of it. After that he made sure that I was asleep.
Throughout the day, Jeremiah sat beside me till I felt better, he was just there comforting me, making sure that I'm okay. Conrad would come and bring me food and he would always check whether or not I was okay.
"You okay, sis?" Conrad sat down beside me -- patting my head. Jeremiah looked at me and smiled.
"I'm alright now, thanks to you guys" I smiled up a him and Jeremiah before leaning my head on Conrad's shoulder -- feeling myself drift to sleep.
───────────────────────────
this one is kinda short so im sorry about that !! im trying to work on something which i am very excited bout :)) if y'all have requests just lmk !!
𝐁𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐤
—Conrad Fisher x fem!reader
—summary: you lose your temper at a party and expect Conrad to be mad, but instead he breaks down.
—word count: 1.3k
—tw: fight, mentions of abuse, men(🤢), panic attack, swearing
—a/n: had this in my drafts along with complex so I thought why not give the hotties a double update, huh? also, if you read ocean eyes, keep ur eye out for a teeeeensy crossover.
Tumblr media
Conrad’s hands were shaking as he drove you home, his car blanketed in the dark of the night as he tried his best to grip the steering wheel so he could just stop fucking shaking.
You sat in the passenger’s seat, biting your nails. Your heart was in the pit of your stomach, being swallowed whole by the acid and you were sure you could vomit. The thought of Conrad ever being mad at you made you sick.
It wasn’t like you went around the house party looking for a fight, in fact it was quite the opposite. You were excited for the party, to take a couple shots, dance with your friends, take mirror selfies with girls you just met and makeout with your boyfriend in a corner. But, the night had other plans for you.
Lexi and Olivia. The pair of best friends that had shot their shots with your boyfriend and his brother last summer, back when you were “just friends”. They had some weird fantasy about dating brothers and marrying into the same family, and were livid when they were both shot down. Ever since then, you and Jeremiah’s boyfriend, Hayden, endured the stink eye from the two girls. Not that you cared much, as long as they were smart enough to keep your family’s name out of their mouth.
Spoiler, they weren’t.
You had been walking to the bathroom, Belly behind you with her hand clasped tightly in yours when you overheard them saying nasty things about the brothers as they giggled with a couple boys you didn’t recognize. You stopped dead and your tracks and narrowed your eyes, your presence still unknown to them.
“No.” Belly said, trying and failing to pull you in the direction of the bathroom but you were firmly planted, staring down the two girls as they covered their mouths with laughter and rage boiled in your veins. Hell no.
You had no shame, walking right up to the girl who had been dumb enough to let your boyfriend’s name slip past her lips and shoving her.
She gasped as she spilled her drink on herself and you rolled your eyes.
“Learn to keep my boyfriend’s name out of your mouth.” You spat. And as you turned to walk away, your wrist was caught. The person dug into your skin so harshly you nearly whimpered, but instead you whipped your head around, eyes connecting with one of the unrecognized boys.
“Who the fuck do you think you are?”
“Conrad Fisher’s girlfriend, bitch.”
The boy pulled you closer, his grip on you harshening and you kept your tough face, but you were beginning to get scared. There weren't a whole lot of people near this section of the house, and the people who were occupying it only held their phones up, flashlights radiating the room. You prayed Belly had been smart and gone to get Conrad or Jeremiah.
“He needs to learn to keep you on a tighter leash.” The guy growled. You could feel his breath on your face and you whimpered as his grip tightened even more. He chuckled.
“Not so tough now, are you?
You were speechless. It was hard to be tough when your wrist was in the harsh grip of a man much larger than you, being slowly cornered into a wall. Becoming a man’s abuse fantasy come to life was fucking terrifying, and there was no tough face to put on anymore.
Thankfully, Jeremiah and Conrad had stepped in at just the right time, pulling the guy off of you and shoving him.
Conrad pinned the boy to the wall, his forearm slammed against his chest, locking him in.
“You so much as look at my girl again,” He paused, his chest heaving as he put more pressure into the boy’s chest, making him groan, “You’re gonna lose your fuckin’ eyeballs.”
He spit in the kid’s face before he let go and turned to you. He planted a hand on your jaw, chest heaving as he raked your body for any injuries other than your wrist, and when he hadn’t found any, he intertwined his free hand with yours and pulled you closer to him, planting a kiss to your forehead and ushering you to come with him.
He was mad at you, you were so sure he was mad at you. He looked so mad when he was talking to the guy that that’s all you could picture in your head, his anger.
Your fingers ached to slip through his shaking ones, to calm the tremors but you were afraid he’d get upset. So, you brought your knees to your chest and wrapped your arms around them, careful not to put your wrist in too weird of a position.
Your outbursts weren’t anything new. In fact, they happened very frequently, but most of the time you were able to keep it under control until you were in private, usually doing breathing exercises with an ever so patient Conrad.
But you had lost it, completely lost your cool and embarrassed him. He wouldn’t even look at you, and you knew he was saving it for when you made it back to his house.
He gently put the car in park and took the keys out of the ignition, his shaky hands losing control and dropping them near his feet.
“Fuck!” His voice rang in the car and you jumped, closing your eyes and holding a hand to your heart.
But when you opened your eyes you didn’t see anger. You didn’t see his nostrils flare or his jaw clench as he tried to keep his cool. You saw panic.
He was scared.
His hands were clenched and his eyes were wide, his knee bounced uncontrollably as he stared anywhere he could but you. He knew if he looked at you, saw your tear stained cheeks and the bruising around your wrist he’d lose it, and he didn’t want to. He didn’t want to break down in front of you when you were the one hurting.
“Conrad…”
His breaths were sharp as his eyes filled with tears, refusing to look at you.
You didn’t waste any time as you unbuckled your seatbelt, clambering over the center console and straddling your boyfriend, holding his face firmly in your hands, forcing him to look at you.
“I’m okay.” You assured him and he nodded, digging his fingers into your thighs.
“Say it.” You said, your voice achingly gentle but firm.
“You’re okay.” He responded and you nodded, wiping away the salty tears that began to slip from the corner of his eyes and kissing away the ones that made it down to his lips.
His hands had traveled to your waist, softly gripping at the skin as he let his forehead drop to your shoulder. He was still shaking.
“Baby.” You cooed and he let out a sob and you held on tighter, ignoring the throb in your wrist. His tears didn’t let up and your heart ached as he cried, suddenly feeling guilty for not holding his hand and soothing him earlier. “I’m right here.”
You swayed him lightly back and forth, tangling your fingers in his hair and leaving sweet kisses to the side of his head.
“I should’ve been there I-” He gasped for air. “I should’ve fucking been there.”
You shook your head, “No, no, don’t put this on yourself.”
“He was holding you so tightly and you- you looked so scared and I- fuck, I don’t-” He bagan to stutter, his anxiety and panic barring him from forming coherent sentences.
“It’s okay, my love. Breathe.” You said, your voice even and calm.
You had been scared out of your mind but as soon as you saw Conrad’s shaking frame, something snapped, and you were still, holding your boy in your arms.
Conrad eventually relaxed enough for you to take him inside and he fell asleep with his head resting on your stomach, his body situated in between your legs while watching a movie on the couch, your fingers tangled in his hair and you felt a weight release from your shoulders when you heard his deep breaths and soft snores, finally allowing yourself to close your eyes.
Sideline Support : Jeremiah Fisher x Reader
Tumblr media
Description: Jeremiah Fisher is there for his girlfriend through win or lose. Looks at various situations where he’s there to support her, including 3 wins and 1 loss.
Warnings: mentions of injury, mentions of food/eating, sports, angry coaches, a couple curse words, stress/pressure, but otherwise fluff.
Y/n took a deep breath and tried to calm her mind.
Her team was relying on her to help guide them towards a win against their rivals.
Not only was she one of their best players, she was also a starter and the team captain.
Her coach and teammates all expected her to remain positive and encouraging no matter what happened.
Meanwhile they also simultaneously expected her to do her best and help her teammates do their best.
So it was crucial that she clear her mind before the match.
She had a big exam to study for tomorrow but that would have to wait until after the game.
She’d studied before hand as well, but had to stop a few hours prior to the match to switch mindsets and prepare for the game.
As she took another deep breath, she shook her head and pushed the air out through her lips making them vibrate.
She tossed her bag in her locker and locked it up.
As she stepped into the hall, she saw the lower team playing in the gym.
She wasn’t sure how the match was going, having had studied during it.
She knew her coach wouldn’t be pleased she hadn’t watched their other teams.
But she had family matters to attend to after she got home tonight.
So she decided to watch the last several points of this set to make up for it.
Y/n watched through the thin window in the gym door until it was safe for her to enter.
She crossed the hall and slipped into the gym once it was clear.
Y/n watched the last several points and cheered the team on.
She slipped back into the hallway as the team concluded their game and began setting up for varsity.
Y/n stretched a bit in the hallway as she greeted various teammates on their way into the gym.
Once she’d seen most of the girls, the others seemingly still in the training room, she went to fill up her water.
As she set the bottle down to screw the lid she felt someone wrap their arm over her shoulder.
She turned and glanced up with a smile, already knowing who it would be, “hey Jere”.
Jeremiah smiled back and winked, “hey beautiful, you ready?”
She took a deep breath and nodded.
“Hey, where’d the smile go?” Jeremiah teased, squeezing her shoulder and bringing her closer to him.
“You’ve got this babe” he encouraged, smiling down at her.
She felt her cheeks warm as she smiled softly, “it’s just a really important match tonight”.
“I know y/n/n” he nodded, “that’s why I’m here!”
She laughed and went back to screwing the lid on her bottle, “you always come Jeremiah”.
He chuckled, “okay fair, would you rather I only come to the ‘really important’ matches so it’s more meaningful?”
She heard the playful tone in his voice, especially as he recited her choice of words.
But she wanted him to be certain that she wanted him here as often as he could be.
“No!” She panicked, pushing him playfully as he smirked at her reaction.
“I love you coming to my games, you know that” she defended, “I’m just feeling the pressure tonight”.
Jeremiah hummed and gave her a sympathetic grin, “well, no matter what happens, I’m on your side”.
She nodded and smiled at him as she turned back to him, “I’m counting on it”.
Front and center y/n/n” he promised, holding his pinky to her.
Y/n giggled and hooked their pinky fingers together, “front and center”.
“Tie me?” She asked, handing him her hair tie and putting her back to him.
Jeremiah chuckled as he suppressed the urge to make a joke.
Y/n caught on anyways and smacked his chest softly as she turned back to him when he was done and rolled her eyes.
“Y/n have you seen the ball cart?” One of her teammates called out.
“Oh, hi Jeremiah “ she added with a wave upon seeing him.
“Hi y/tm/n” Jere greeted kindly.
Y/n smiled, “it should’ve been out there. If not, there’s a spare varsity one by the third door to the storage room. I’ll help”
She turned back and smiled at Jeremiah.
“You’ve got this!” He beamed, giving her a soft peck on the cheek.
“Good luck!” He cheered to both of them as he slipped onto the gym
“Was there anything else missing?” Yn asked as she walked with y/tm/n to the storage room next to the home team’s locker room.
“Nope, jv had everything else ready” She answered, “I see Jeremiah came again”
Yn blushed and nodded as she pulled out the other ball cart from the corner.
“He’s like your own little cheerleader” she exclaimed
Yn laughed , “I mean yeah, he always has been. That’s just Jeremiah, he’s always so supportive, but he’s here for the whole team too not just me”.
“Girl the only reason he cares about the team is because you’re on it” He teammate giggled.
Y/n blushed and bit her lip bashfully.
“I mean, unlike most boyfriends who can be caught starting at our teammates whom they’re not with and checking out their asses, your boy only watches you” y/tm/n winked.
Yn blushed madly as she fumbled for words.
——Time Skip——
Y/n noticed the tension and sadness on her teammates’ faces as their coach walked away from the huddle to speak to the assistant coach in private.
She glanced at the scoreboard to see the timer as to how much time was left in this timeout.
As she turned back to her team, she whispered “hey, guys, look it’s okay. We’ve been down by far more before and still won”.
Her teammates rejected expressions didn’t change as they stared back at her.
“Okay, sappy sentiments over. Now, middles we need to stay strong at the net, we have to slow the hall down. Outsides and right side be ready for the tip, once or blocks get there they’re going to adjust” She advised.
The girls nodded with less dim eyes this time.
“We have to keep talking, don’t let the fact we’re down a few points bring the energy down. We’ve got this okay?” She asked hoping they did in fact have it, but it wasn’t up to her.
Her team agreed and did a small cheer before running back to the court.
As she got in her position she did a quick scan to look over at her boyfriend in order to calm herself.
The smile on Jeremiah’s face as they made eye contact worked perfectly for what she wanted and needed; her anxiety dissipating.
Y/n did her approach off the net and called for the setter to set her for an attack.
She watched as the ball left her teammates hands and waited until it hit the appropriate spot to begin her attacking footwork.
She felt weightless as she unconsciously did her approach, her arms swinging back flawlessly as she neared the net.
As she launched herself into the air, within milliseconds her eyes searched and located the open spot on the other side of the net and the center of the ball.
She lifted her arm up until her elbow was by her ear and hit the ball, her arm swinging forward as she swung through the attack.
As Y/n landed and began to prepare for the other team to give the ball back after passing it up, she watched the ball spike aggressively onto the gym floor just before the other team’s defensive specialist.
She let out an excited cheer as she turned around to face her teammates who were cheering and huddling together for her.
She let her teammates congratulate her and pat her on the back before they did a quick team cheer.
As she turned back to the net to get ready for the next point, her eyes cast over to Jeremiah.
It was clear he’d already been cheering with everyone else but when he saw her eyes on him he smiled even wider and cheered again.
She bit her lip and shook her head to clear her mind as she turned back to the game.
—— Time Skip——
Y/n stepped back from her team huddle as she steadied her breath.
It was match point.
It had been an intense and close match, the teams evenly skilled.
Their team had 23 and the away team had 24.
It was her serve.
If she missed it, it meant the other team won.
If she got it over and in, there was a chance her team could still win the point to tie.
If she got an ace or otherwise did an effective enough serve to keep the other team from sending the ball back, they’d be tied instantly without having to worry about her teammates doing anything that might meaning lsoing the point.
Three points and they’d win.
She could do three serves.
She’d don’t far more consecutive serves before; heck, she’d done back to back aces that were well into the twenties before.
But the pressure was high.
The outcome of this game would set the energy for the season.
It was not only that they were their rivals.
Because they were rivaling schools, it meant a lot of students showed up to support.
As such, there were so many watching her and it wasn’t just her team relying on her to do these serves.
It also meant if they lost the game that they’d have less of an attendance at the next games for the season.
Which would be disappointing in general but her team also got encouraged by the fan section during times they’d be down in points in a match.
So, less attendance meant less chances for that and more work for yn to handle herself.
Whenever she was as focused as she currently was, she could get in the zone.
In other words, she could block out everything and everyone.
She had to.
She had to focus on just her and the volleyball that would soon be in her palm.
If she focused on anything or anyone else, she would risk getting into her head too much and messing up.
Her coach and team knew this, hence why they’d had no problem with her stepping away during this timeout.
Jeremiah knew this as well, which was good because while he was normally her source of reliable encouragement and her rock, she needed it to be just her in this moment.
When she heard the buzz of the refs whistle, she nodded at her coach as they made silent eye contact.
As the other teammates huddled closer and cheered, she walked to the end line.
The line judge rolled y/n the volleyball before getting back into position to watch the court and make a ruling should it be required.
Instead of looking towards the crowd to see her boyfriend, she briefly glanced at her coach to check where he wanted her to serve.
Upon seeing him hiding two fingers from the other team with his clipboard blocking his hand from the net, she nodded once and turned her eyes back to the ball.
She knew the crowd would be cheering, something that drove her crazy during the games when the team serving had their own fan section yelling.
Most spectators who’d been to enough games or knew the sport better knew it was often best to be quiet for your team during the serve and loud when the other team was cheering.
But it was never truly silent as no matter what, someone didn’t know this.
And it being so early in the season, it certainly had to be very loud as no one had realized the trend yet.
But she knew Jere would be quiet for her.
He and Conrad would usually even try and shush people sometimes when it was an intense serving point.
Jeremiah had played a bit of volleyball himself casually during the summers.
Conrad, as always was more competitive with his playing of volleyball.
But both played football outside of summer, not volleyball.
That was y/N’s sport.
But their experiences helped them be great supporters and spectators for the matches.
Nonetheless, Yn was able to block out all of the support from everyone when needed.
Sure, that sounds weird.
But her mind could make it quiet, as if she was simply at practice just her, the net and her volleyball.
She was truly grateful for that skill tonight.
When the up ref blew his whistle to signal that she could begin her serve, she relied on her habitual response to begin and get prepared.
As she felt her auditory senses shut down unconsciously, she took a deep breath and then looked down at her feet as she bounced the ball exactly three times.
She narrowed her eyes on the volleyball as she steadied it in her out stretched y/n-d/h (your non-dominant hand).
Keeping with her typical routine, she spun the ball slightly until the brand/logo was facing her and perfectly centered.
She took another deep breath as she dropped her arm minimally and tossed the ball upwards.
With no sounds reverberating in her mind despite them being present to all others, she focused on watching the toss.
As it came down to the correct point, she began her quick approach towards it.
She let out the breath she was holding as her feet landed back on the floor and the ball crossed over the tape on the net.
The sounds of the gym came back to her effortlessly as she unconsciously adjusted her focus again.
However, it wasn’t needed.
For, the ball had been shanked out of the court by the receiving player on the opposing team.
The cheers she heard around her were such a stark contrast to the self imposed silence she had moments before.
She smiled and let her teammates pat her on the back and offer her congratulations on her way back to the end line.
She remained friendly but truly wasn’t listening anymore, already ready to repeat her previous behaviors.
Jeremiah smiled to himself as he watched Y/n side eye glance at their coach as she stood at the end line again.
He silently fiddled with his fingers inside the pocket of his hoodie as y/n took notice of her coaches two fingers on the clipboard and then their coach’s signal to do a short serve.
Jeremiah held his breath in anticipation as she turned her gaze back to the game.
He knew zone serving was already a skill not everyone had.
But that combined with a specific area of the zone was increasing the pressure.
And he knew his girl well enough to know she was feeling said pressure.
However, he let out his held breath as the ball tipped over the net and landed on the floor just on the other side of the net.
The crowd, Jeremiah included, errupted in excitement at the seemingly easily earned point.
Y/n wasn’t ready to celebrate yet though, and he knew why.
There was one more point to go.
They were only up by one and needed to be up by two to win
He watched as y/n glanced over to the other teams coach, waiting to see if they’d call a time out.
Sure enough, she was right in her expectation.
The other coach quickly signaled to the ref for a time out.
Y/n rolled the ball back to the line judge as she made her way to the benches.
Her coach encouraged her to drink some water as he reminded his team to be ready for the ball to come back over after the serve and not be standing around unprepared.
Y/n haphazardly tossed her bottle back down as she toon in his words.
“Y/n, just go back there and do your thing. No matter what, we fight until the ball hits the floor. But, let’s just end this game and go home alright?” He asked looking at Y/n
She nodded and she and her teammates cheered each other on.
——
Y/n nearly toppled over as her teammates rushed her upon winning the last point.
It hadn’t been off her serve, but rather off a back row attack she made during the last play of the long rally that took place after her serve.
Y/n smiled widely, excited to have won and proud of her performance tonight.
But her eyes nonetheless scanned for Jeremiah as the fans began to enter the court.
Suddenly she felt herself lifted into the air, a screech leaving her lips in surprise.
However, she quickly realized whose hands they were and giggled as he set her on his shoulders.
After a few short moments of celebration, Jeremiah set her down so she could go do the end routine of the game, such as acknowledging the other team and talking with her coach and team.
Yet when she left the team meeting and returned to the gym, she was again swung up into the air and spin around.
Jeremiah smiled widely at her as he spun in circles making her laugh.
He set her down and steadied her as he exclaimed, “you killed it y/n/n!”
She grinned shyly and walked into his embrace as she talked with him and a few other spectators.
—— Time Skip ——
“Stop telling me no” Jeremiah teased, tickling y/n.
She laughed and squirmed against his side but didn’t let go of the hold she had on his waist.
“Now, I’m going to try it again,” he huffed, smirking down at her as she cuddled against him as they walked to his car, “you were incredible tonight babe”.
As she opened her mouth to argue, he paused and turned slightly to give her a stern look; well as stern of one the constantly bubbly boy could manage.
She clicked her tongue and sighed, “fine, thank you Jere”.
Jeremiah rolled his eyes, “your team won the game y/n/n”.
“I know” she agreed, shrugging slightly as they resumed walking.
“Okay, I’m not Conrad. I don’t understand this whole ‘we won but I’m not happy’ thing” Jeremiah teased, but she could sense the slight disappointment he had over not knowing how to help and thinking Conrad would’ve.
She was the one to stop their departure this time, turning to face him and cupping his cheeks with her hands.
“I am very happy about that Jerebear, I love your positivity” she began, his cheeks becoming rosy at the nickname as he smiled bashfully.
“And I know I should just be happy, but I can’t help but see ways I could’ve done better” she explained softly with a small shrug to show him it wasn’t that belig of a deal.
“Like what?” Jeremiah asked, leaning further into her left palm.
She smiled at how adorable he was and hummed as she confided an example, “I missed most of my hits tonight Jere”.
He shrugged, “everyone has an off day”.
She nodded softly and gave him a thankful grin.
“Besides your off day is still far better than anyone’s normal day” he whispered, not wanting to start things with the players still leaving the gym behind them.
She laughed and genuinely smiled widely at him as she bit her bottom lip, “thank you handsome”.
He smirked, “that’s what I’m here for!”
As she opened her mouth to respond, she was once again cut off.
But this time not by an attempted glare from her boyfriend, but rather the sound of her empty stomach.
Jeremiah’s eyebrows shot upwards and he smirked again.
“Well, that and, that”. He said pointing to her stomach.
Her hands left his face as she crossed her arms over her stomach and giggled.
Jeremiah smiled and shook his head, tugging one of her hands back into his, “come on, let’s get you your victory dinner!”
Jeremiah pushed the plate of fries closer to y/n as he sipped on his drink.
She glanced up at him with a smile as she took another fry.
He silently pulled his phone out and took a picture, laughing as she scoffed at him.
“I had a fry halfway in my mouth!” She gasped.
Jeremiah shrugged, “still looked down right beautiful to me”.
She grinned, flattered, as he smirked at her.
“It doesn’t go on Snapchat though” she warned, tossing a fry at him.
He picked up the fry as it bounced off his chest and onto the table, quickly dropping it in his mouth with a satisfied grin.
“Nah, just my collection” he promised.
She didn’t even have to ask, she learned years ago before they even started dating that Jeremiah had a little folder of photos he’d taken of her over time that she had requested not be shared with others.
It ranged from her giving him an over dramatic smile whilst in bright pink braces, her poor attempt at being mad at Steven over something she doesn’t even recall having happened, and up to things like tonight where she had a fry hanging out of her mouth.
He loved them all as he claimed they showed all sides of her.
And while he wanted to show her off to the world, feeling she deserved all the attention, he selfishly didn’t mind keeping them private.
This way he knew her in a way no one else did, and he loved that.
Y/n finished a few more fries and then lifted her phone of the table to snap a photo of him.
Jeremiah merely held up his burger for the photo and grinned.
She giggled and looked at the picture, “now for a caption….”
Without missing a beat, Jeremiah mumbled, “dinner of champions” through the food he had in his mouth.
Y/n slapped her hand on her face as she shook her head, “you’re so freaking sweet”.
He laughed as he wiped his face with the napkin next to him before reaching over and grabbing her hand.
“I mean seriously,” she began before he could respond, “how are you this sweet and hot? It’s insane”.
Jeremiah laughed loudly as his dimples deepened and cheeks flushed crimson, his blue eyes alight with glee as he tried to calmly brush off the compliment.
“If one of the other girls ties to steal you I’m quitting the program” she said leaning over and sipping from his drink, “I’m dead serious”
Jeremiah shook his head, squeezing her hand, “no one could ever steal me from you y/n/n. I’ve loved you for years, gorgeous”.
She beamed, “I’m just saying, I will”.
He laughed and shook his head, “don’t quit, I like being on the sidelines for your games”.
“And I love you being there Jerebear, but I’m more protective than I am competitive” she smirked, “so if a bi-“
Jeremiah laughed and held his free hand over her lips, tenderly stroking her jaw with his thumb.
“you have my word, you’re the only one I want to be with and cheering on, babe” he swore, smiling at her.
—— Time Skip——
“Hey, have you seen y/n?” Jeremiah asked y/tm/n gleefully as he nearly ran into them on his third circle of the gym.
“Oh, hey,” y/tm/n laughed, “uhh yeah I did. I believe she’s still in the athletic room getting taped!”
Jeremiah tried to hide his concern and forced a kind smile and nodded at y/N’s teammate , “thanks y/tm/n”
“Of course, but just so you know, we’ll be staring warm ups soon” she warned, as if he wasn’t already aware
That’s precisely what had him worried.
It wasn’t uncommon for her to go to the trainer and get her shoulder tapped as she often over did it and would strain the muscle.
But, that usually only took a few minutes and was so routine she would get it done as soon as she got to the gym and not this close to her match.
Just in case she was advised to ice before hand for swelling, so it had time to safely warm back up before their actual warm ups.
Plus, he knew she had her shoulder taped the day before last, prior to the last game and the tape used for her shoulder lasted several days.
So he tried, but failed, not to sprint down the hall to the training room.
As he slid to a stop in the doorway, his eager eyes found her instantly.
She was sitting up on one of the med tables, propping her leg up as the main trainer was apply athletic tape to her knee.
He stood awkwardly in the door, knowing as he didn’t go to the same school nor was he an injured player, he didn’t have a permission to enter.
However, one of younger players from the lower team spotted him and called for y/N’s attention.
Jeremiah sighed and mouthed sorry to y/n as she turned to face him.
She shook her head softly and smiles to say it was okay
After examining what stage the trainer was at with the tape she looked back at Jeremiah and held up one finger with the offer of another small smile.
He nodded eagerly and took a few steps out of the doorway so someone else could come and go if needed and instead rested against the bricks next to the sign to the room.
As she stepped out into the hall, he promptly spun to face her, his hands instantly finding her upper biceps as he glanced at her knee worriedly.
“Jere” she giggled, “it’s not a big deal! I’m okay I promise”.
He nodded slowly as he looked back up at her, “then..?”
She kissed his cheek softly, “you know how my knees are. I just was helping jv warm up and it must’ve twisted wrong”.
“Are you okay?” He asked his eyes widening again.
She giggled and stoked his cheek, “yes honey, I just said I’m fine. Relax. Besides I’ve had worse”.
The unamused look he gave her made her sigh softly, “Jeremiah, I promise you, I’m okay. I iced immediately and it’s had time to warm up since then so I don’t do the ball handling drills cold, and y/t/n taped it to add support, plus the knee pads should offer protection too.”.
He let out a sigh of relief as he took in her words.
“You’re still going to play?” He asked, not as a judgment nor in disappointment, but just to be sure.
“I was cleared, I’ll be careful though” she assured him with a smile.
He nodded, “no, I - that’s great, I’m glad you’re playing”.
“Why wouldn’t she be?” Conrad’s voice called out as he suddenly appeared behind his brother.
“Oh, hey Con” she greeted him with a hug.
Jere pointed at her knee, the tape sticking out of her knee pad .
“Oof” Conrad commented, “probably shouldn’t say break a leg then huh?”
Jeremiah smacked the back of his brother’s head, “that’s not even for sports, you ass”.
Y/n giggled before kindly excusing herself to go to her team.
Tumblr media
Conrad rolled his eyes as he watched his brother cautiously watching the way Y/n landed each time, making sure her knee wasn’t twisting wrong or buckling under her as she landers.
“What would you even do?” Con teased.
Jeremiah turned to him as the next point was awarded, “What?”
“If something did happen, what would you do? Rush the court to carry her to the trainer five feet away?” Conrad joked, trying to get him to relax.
“I don’t know man, shut up” Jere replied with an embarrassed laugh as he realized he was being perhaps a bit over protective.
Tumblr media
“That was impressive!” Conrad greeted as Jeremiah cautiously set Y/n back on the ground, eyes watching her knee the whole time.
She smiled, squeezing her boyfriend’s arm to calm him as she thanked Conrad.
“I’ll go get your bag” Jeremiah offered, kissing her cheek before going to grab her stuff she’d set by her chair prior to the match.
Y/n watched him greet her teammates that were still around after the meeting as he grabbed her bag.
Turning to his brother she pursed her lips, “how was he?”
“How do you think?” Conrad smirked, but when he saw the guilt on her face he laughed softly to break the tension.
“He’s fine, just cautious” Conrad added, “don’t worry”.
She sighed softly and nodded, looking down at her leg, “probably shouldn’t mention it’s throbbing right now then”.
“Do you need the trainer?” Con asked, eyes on her knee just as Jere’s had been all night.
“No, no, it’s expected. I just need to ice when I get back and -“ she began
Suddenly her bag was sitting beside her on the ground as she took in a gasp of air when her boyfriend lifted her up upon his return.
“Jere!” She giggled as she coughed her breath
“I heard you” he advised, raising an eyebrow at her as he secured his arms under her, “Con, can you get her bag?”
She rolled her eyes softly, “I don’t need carried though”.
“Hmmm, I disagree, can’t have my girl in more pain, now let’s get you home?” Jeremiah questioned softly.
Tumblr media
“Jesus babe, what part of you isn’t taped?” Jeremiah huffed as he stood before her.
She glanced up from the bench as she finished adding another band of tape to her lower knuckle.
“Hey cutie” she blew a kiss before going back to her task.
“Let me” he offered, kneeling and taking the tape from her.
As she held her hand out to him, he focused intently on having the applied tape securely support her fingers without being too tight for circulation.
She smiled at him as the tip of his tongue peaked out against his bottom lip slightly as he focused so deeply.
“Thank you handsome” she replied as he looked up upon finishing taping her hand.
He nodded with a smile, placing a kiss to her knuckles before letting go of her hand.
“Mmm, I know that look” he said, still kneeling before her as she sat on the bench.
She forced a smile and he sighed with a raised eyebrow to show he wasn’t convinced.
“Coach y/c/n was getting on us. Practice last night didn’t go well and now he’s mad and worried we won’t do well” she sighed.
Jere nodded, “and now you’re having to convince everyone to be positive while he’s being a grump?”
She giggled softly and nodded, “yeah, pretty much. But to make it worse, if we lose this game…”
“You don’t go to districts” he said, completing her sentence for her.
She nodded with a sad sigh, “no pressure right?”
“Honey, just focus on playing your best and having fun. The rest will follow. I know they’re a good team “ he said seeing the look in her eyes, “but so is yours. Most important thing is you enjoy the game. If it ends up being the last, you don’t want it to be made worse by not having at least enjoyed it”
She hugged him and nodded against his shoulder, “you’re right, thank you sunshine”.
Tumblr media
Tightening her ponytail in frustration, she glanced to the crowd to look for Jeremiah.
He gave her a sympathetic curl of his lips and nodded in silent understanding.
She sighed and turned back to game.
“Okay..” she whispered.
Her teammate heard and quietly agreed, “yeah..”
Tumblr media
Y/n threw herself across the gym floor in a futile attempt to go for a ball that certainly wasn’t hers.
She wanted to cry in frustration as she watched the ball hit the floor several inches away from her outstretched hand.
The blow of the ref’s whistle made her close her eyes to keep calm as she stood back up.
She felt her knee and shoulder scream from the inelegant way she had gone after the last ball.
But she resisted the temptation to sit down on the bench and call it quits.
She instead, took a shaky breath through the pain and focused on the other side of the net; not brave enough to see if Jere had noticed her pain.
Tumblr media
Y/n still had her head hung when Jeremiah reached her.
She’d minimally acknowledged the teammates who’d all patted her back given her seemingly frozen posture upon their loss.
Their coach wasn’t known for handling losses well and tonight was another reminder of that.
As captain, she already felt responsible but even more so after his inappropriate screaming over their loss.
So when Jeremiah reached her and placed his hands on her back, she barley noticed.
However, she opened her eyes upon feeling the warmth and texture of the hand she knew so well seeping through her jersey.
She saw his shoes before her as his hand rubbed her back.
When she calmed down some, she was able to now hear he’d been whispering soft words of encouragement to her.
She leaned back and looked up at him with tears in her eyes.
“Oh y/n/n, no, please don’t cry” he pleaded as he dropped to his knees before her and wiped them away with his thumb.
“I’m sorry Jere,” she mumbled.
“You don’t need to apologize for crying Y/n. I just don’t want you feeling like this is all” Jeremiah explained kindly.
“No, I’m not apologizing for crying Jere” she argued quietly.
He rose an eyebrow at her, “why then?”
“We,…I, lost” y/n reminded him.
“So? It’s not on you , and even if it were, why apologize to me?” Jeremiah pondered aloud.
She sniffled, “you came all this way to support me and we didn’t even-“
“Hey now,” he took a deep breath, “babe, I’m here for you; win or loss. I didn’t come here to see you win. I came hear to see you. That’s all “.
“Are you sure?” She whispered wearily.
“Extremely” Jeremiah declared.
She smiled tenderly and touched his cheek, making him smile.
“I’ll always be on your side no matter what.” He assured her.
You hadn’t heard from Jeremiah in a couple of months, but when you received a text from Belly inviting all the girls from last year’s debutante ball to a massive party, a mischievous grin curled on your lips and you jumped in the shower, knowing he would be there.
‘’Jeremiah?’’ Nicole repeated, looking in her makeup bag for her mascara.
Dara drew her eyebrows, pausing her snooping through your perfume collection. ‘’Didn’t the two of you break up in December?’’
The two of you were done and through, having called it off right before winter break, but everytime you came across a picture of Jeremiah on social media, your brain was mush again and you had to fight the urge to send him a text.
You came out of the bathroom in a second dress, and sighed at your friends. ‘’Yes, I know that he’s my ex but can’t two people reconnect? I only want us to be friends,’’ you explained to them, holding back a laugh.
That was the biggest lie you ever said.
You and Jeremiah could never be just friends. The sexual attraction between you two was too strong.
‘’Is that why your boobs are all out? So you and Jeremiah can be friends again?’’ Dara asked, a knowing look on her face.
The party was already going when you and the girls arrived. The disco lights were flashing all through the living room and kitchen, creating a true 80s vibe. What stood out the most was the absence of furniture, replaced by a few inflatable chairs.
You got drinks, then found Marisa, who was finally back to Cousins with tons of gossip coming from Gigi and her upcoming documentary. What was happening to her was horrible, but you were glad she wasn’t there this summer. She won’t be all over Jeremiah.
‘’Hi!’’ Belly greeted with a happy grin, rollerblading over to you with a bottle of alcohol in her hand. ‘’I’m so happy you all came.’’ She poured some in Dara’s cup, acting like last summer’s drama didn’t happen.
‘’Have you seen Jeremiah?’’ you asked her, failing to spot him through the crowd.
Beside you, Nicole shook her head, knowing exactly how the night was going to end — you and him in his sheets.
Belly didn’t really know where he was, but she said she last saw him doing shots in the kitchen…so that’s exactly where you went.
He wasn't in the kitchen though. The shots he had down had moved him to the living room and was dancing with some friends, being the life of the party as always. A smile tugged on your lips, getting flashes of last year's mischiefs at the debutante dance lessons. Paige had been so mad when he turned her ballroom dance lessons into a nightclub during her short absence.
You slipped between him and his friends, catching Jeremiah by surprise by joining his moves. He grinned when seeing you, dancing turning into teasing until the song was over.
 His arm slipped around you as he led you away from the dance area, getting to a less busy place to talk.
‘’I didn't know you were in Cousins.’’
‘’You didn't ask,’’ you returned, looking up at him, getting lost in his piercing blue eyes while ghosting your hand on his arm.
Jeremiah glanced down at your hand, but didn't stop you. He was burning for your touch.
‘’All my friends have been saying that seeing you tonight is a bad idea.’’
Without breaking eye contact, he raised an eyebrow. ‘’Is it?’’
And just like that, you grabbed the back of his neck and crashed your mouth against his, satisfying the craving you’ve had since you and him broke up. You’ve kissed other guys after the breakup, but no one kissed you the way Jeremiah did. He was kissing you like he was drowning and you were the air. It was passionate and intense — and a little rough.
His hands went to your waist by habit, pulling you closer to him so your bodies were flush together, then wandered higher, tilting your head up to deepen the kiss. You let him guide the kiss, tangling your fingers in his blond curls, and almost moaned embarrassingly when you felt Jeremiah’s hand wrapping around your throat in a way that made your head spin and legs feel like jelly.
How did he do that with just a kiss?
You grabbed at his shirt, feeling the warmth of his body underneath the thin fabric, wishing it was off. But you were in the middle of a party with tons of people around.
Out of breath, you pulled back, but Jeremiah wasn’t done. He kissed up the underside of your chin and down your neck, then went back to your lips.
‘’Maybe we should take this upstairs,’’ you suggested, feeling your nipples harden through your shirt, begging to be touched and kissed by Jeremiah.
He nodded and pulled back, taking your hand and leading you to his bedroom. Unlike the last time, there was no furniture besides a sleeping bag and a blow up chair, and a backpack overspilling with all the stuff he brought for the trip.
‘’Eh, sorry about that…’’ Jeremiah rubbed the back of his neck, embarrassed and feeling like a complete ass for not having anything better than the floor to offer.
You shook your head. ‘’It’s fine,’’ you assured. ‘’This will do.’’ You pushed Jeremiah down on the blow up chair and climbed over him, grinding down on him as you did, feeling him stiffen in his shorts.
To speed things up, you pulled your shirt off and threw it on the floor. You had not bothered with a bra, which Jeremiah was very pleased about.
His fingers danced up your stomach, along your ribs to your breasts. ‘’I missed this. I missed you.’’ He rolled your left nipple between his thumb and finger as he kissed and nipped along your jaw and down your neck before claiming your other nipple with his lips.
Your back arched as you moaned his name, pleasure filling your body and pooling in your panties. You missed this too.
No Words Needed - Jeremiah Fisher x Reader
Tumblr media
Summary: Jeremiah joins you at the end of the pier, wondering why you're not having fun with everyone else
Words: 2.3k
Warnings: makeup session
 Y/N’s POV
The worn wooden planks of the bench cradle me as I is at the end of the pier, overlooking the vast expanse of the ocean. The evening sun, now a radiant orb of orange and pink, begins its decent, casting a warm glow that dances upon the water’s surface. The rhythmic sound of waves crashing against the pier is a lullaby, a gentle reminder that time moves in tandem with the tide. The air is infused with the unmistakable scent of saltwater, a fragrances that’s both invigorating and comforting. It tickles my senses, and I take a deep breath, letting the tangy breeze fill my lungs. The distant calls of seagulls add a melodic layer to the symphony of the sea, creating a serene atmosphere that wraps around me like a familiar embrace.
As I watch the sun dip lower, the sky transforms into a canvas of hues — apricot merging into lavender, then fading into the deeper blues of twilight. The colours reflect off the water, creating a mesmerising panorama that stretches as far as the eye can see. The world seems to slow down in these moments, as if the sun and the sea have conspired to gift me a pause button
With each passing minute, the temperature drops slightly, and a gentle breeze ruffles my hair. I draw my knees up to my chest, embracing the slight chill that contrasts the lingering warmth of the day. It’s a sensory feast—the taste of salt in the air, the sound of waves serenading the shore, the sight of the sun bidding its daily farewell.
As the light continues to fade, the ambient sounds of the evening become more pronounced. In the distance, I hear the soft padding of footsteps against the wooden planks, and a shadow falls across the pier. A subtle anticipation rises within me, wondering who might be joining me at the edge of the world.
The approaching presence becomes more distinct, and soon a familiar figure settles beside me. Jeremiah’s silent arrival is like a gentle breeze, a quiet acknowledgement that needs no words. I send him a soft smile before turning my attention back to the breathtaking view.
Jeremiah doesn’t say anything: he just watches. His presence is comforting, and the shared quiet is like a secret language only we understand. I steal glances at him in the fading light. His profile is etches against the backdrop of the ocean, the hues of twilight casting a soft glow on his features. There’s something in the way he’s looking at me, as if I’m prettier than the view unfolding before us. The breeze tousles his sandy hair, and I find myself drawn into the tranquility of the moment. The lines of worry on his face seeming to ease, and it’s as if the sea has a way of soothing not just me but him as well.
The silent dance of the waves below continues as the sun sinks lower, painting the sky in its final strokes of warm colour. Jeremiah’s silent company becomes a steady anchor, and the shared quiet between us deepens, becoming a refuge from he world beyond the pier.
I shift slightly, almost instinctively, closer to Jeremiah, feeling the warmth of his presence. The wood of the bench creaks softly under our combined weight, a testament to the intimacy of the is shared space. Without a word, I rest my head on his shoulder, finding solace in the subtle connection that goes beyond the spoken language.
Jeremiah responds with a gentle squeeze, his arms wrapping around me. It’s an unspoken embrace, a wordless assurance that he’s here, not just physically, but in a way that transcends the tangible. The breeze carries the scent of the ocean, and I close my eyes, breathing in deeply, letting the tranquility of the moment seep into my soul.
As the sunset’s glow begins to yield to the embrace of the night, the horizon transforms into a tapestry of deeper blues and purples. The last remnants of daylight linger on the horizon, and I find myself melting into Jeremiah’s side, the lines between us blurring into the fading light. The worry lines on his face seems to soften even more, and the weight that lingers in the air dissipates. We sit there together, a silent union against the backdrop of the sea, finding a refuge in each other’s presence.
I feel an inexplicable peace as I nuzzle my face into the crook of Jeremiah’s neck, breathing in deeply. His scent, a subtle blend of saltwater and the warmth of summer envelopes me. It’s a fragrance that mingles with the sea breeze, creating a sensory symphony that feels uniquely ours.
Jeremiah’s heartbeat echoes beneath my ear, its rhythm a steady lullaby. As the world around us falls into quietude, I sense the subtle quickening of his heart. It’s a whisper of vulnerability, a shared heartbeat that transcends the layers of silence. His arms, which encircle me, feel like a protective cocoon, creating a haven within the expending darkness. His hands find their way into my hair, fingers moving with gentle grace. Each touch is a reassurance, a tender affirmation that we’re both present in this shared sanctuary. I close my eyes, savouring the sensations of his hands running through my hair, a tactile expression of understanding and connection.
His other hand moves, bodying shifting towards me more, to cup my cheek. His thumb stroking a delicate path along my cheekbone, a gesture so tender it feels like a silent promise in the dimming twilight. I revel in the warmth of his palm against my skin, the reassurance of his touch anchoring me int he present moment. The night, now fully unfurled, wraps around us like a velvet cloak, and I find myself feeling both vulnerable and secure within the confines of his embrace.
His eyes, softened with the ambient glow of the evening, meet mine. There’s a silent question in their depths, a query that transcends words. The air around us holds a subtle tension, a moment suspended in time. As his gaze flickers down to my lips, a sudden spark of anticipation dances within me. It’s a simple glance, yet it carries the weight of unspoken desires and uncharted territories. In that fleeting moment, I feel a subtle shift in the rhythm of my heartbeat, an anxious flutter that echoes the gentle pulse of the sea.
Jeremiah’s eyes return to mine, and the unspoken question lingers in the air. The sea, the stars, the night—they become witnesses to this delicate interlude, where a shared silence speaks volumes.
A subtle breeze carries the scent of salt and summer, as if nature itself holds its breath, anticipating the next move in this shared dance. Jeremiah, with a gentle tilt of his head, leans down, closing the distance between us. The touch of his lips against mine is feather-light, almost hesitant, as if he, too, is navigating the uncharted waters of this moment.
His kiss is a whispered promise, a tender exploration that resonates with the ebb and flow of the waves beneath us. The world around us seems to blue, the sound of Belly, Steven and Conrad shrieking and laughing in the distance fades to nothing, and for a moment, it’s just him and me. The sweetness of the kiss lingers, a taste o fast and the promise of something new. In the hushed atmosphere of the pier, Jeremiah's kiss is a delicate revelation, a soft caress that resonates with the rhythm of the waves beneath us. As our lips meet again and again, there's an almost ethereal connection, an exploration that transcends the physical and delves into the uncharted territory of emotions.
The kiss is almost overwhelming, the taste of salt lingering on our lips like a secret shared between lovers. Jeremiah’s touch is a whispered promise, a gentle of exploration that communicates more than words ever could. The warmth of his lips against mine creates a cocoon of intimacy, a sanctuary where nothing else matters except the feel of his lips against mine and his hand cupping my jaw, thumb under my jaw.
As the kiss deepens, Jeremiah breaks away, but the lingering connection remains. He presses his forehead to mine, eyes closed and we’re both breathing heavily, caught in the aftermath of a shared moment that feels suspended in time. The air between us crackles with the electricity of newfound emotions, and I can sense the vulnerability in his closeness.
The moment of separation is brief but pregnant with unspoken understanding. Jeremiah’s ocean blue eyes, when they finally open, search mine as if he’s deciphering the depths of my soul. Without a word, he’s surging forwards again, his lips seeking mine with a newfound hunger that betrays the fear of losing this fragile connection.
The second kiss is different, charged with an urgency as if he’s afraid I might disappear if he doesn’t hold onto the moment. It’s not afraid I might disappear if he doesn’t hold onto the moment. It’s not just a kiss it’s a declaration, an affirmation of something unspoken but profoundly felt. His lips mould to mine, and I respond with an equal intensity, and I respond with an equal intensity, losing myself in the magnetic pull of the moment. The world around us dissolves once more, leaving only the symphony of our shared breaths and the distant murmur of the sea.
Gripping Jeremiah’s shirt in one hand, I feel the fabric bushing under my fingers. The other hand is tangled in his sandy-bold curls, and I tug lightly, savouring the soft sound he lets out—a whispered melody that joins the symphony of the night. His hands, once cupping my jaw, now explore the small of my back, creating a sensation that blurs the line between reality and the ethereal.
The kiss deepens in a convergence of desire and connection, and I feel every nuance of his response mirrored in the rhythm of our shared breaths. Jeremiah’s taste is both familiar and intoxicating, a blend of salt and sweetness that leaves an indelible mark on my senses.
I feel him close, our bodies pressed together in an unspoken promise of mutual understanding. There’s a warmth that radiates from the core of my being, a fire stoked by the intensity of the kiss and the closeness we share. Jeremiah’s hands, strong and sure, traverse the landscape of my back, leaving a trail of electric sensations in their wake.
A soft moan escapes Jeremiah, a muffled melody that becomes part of symphony of our shared breaths. Encouraged by the unspoken exchange, I tug at his curls again, and the sensation is met with a gentle squeeze of my hips. It’s an intimate dance of touch and response, each movement a silent affirmation of the connection between us.
Jeremiah, seemingly guides by an invisible force, pulls me onto his lip. His hands grip my hips, pulling me flush against him. The world tilts for a moment, and I find myself straddling him, our bodies now intimately entwined. His tongue runs across the seam of my lips, seeking entrance. The feel of his tongue against mine is new and electric, a dance of warmth and familiarity that sends shivers down my spine. Our tongues move in tandem, an unspoken language that speaks volumes. The taste of salt, the heat of the night, and the passion between us a sensory tapestry that leaves an indelible mark.
But the kiss doesn’t linger on our lips for long. Jeremiah, with a subtle shift, moves his lips to my neck. The sensation is both tender and electrifying as he places soft, lingering kisses along the curve of my neck. His warm breath sends a cascade of shivers through me, and I find myself tilting my head, granting him better access.
As As Jeremiah's lips linger on my neck, his touch takes a slightly different turn. There's a pinch of pain and a twinge of discomfort as he sucks a hickey into existence, the initial sting met with a soothing stroke of his tongue. Embarrassingly, a soft sound escapes my throat, and I can feel him smiling against my neck, the shared intimacy creating a unique connection between us.
The sensations, a blend of pleasure and the slightly awkward reality of a hickey, become almost overwhelming. I find myself yearning for the familiar warmth of his lips on mine, the need to feel the connection more directly urging me to pull him back. My hand instinctively grips his curls, intending to guide his mouth back to mine. But, before our lips can barely brush, our names are called, and a groan escapes me. Conrad, always the untimely intruder, seems to have impeccable timing.
Jeremiah laughs softly, a sound that resonates through both of us, and he wraps his arms around my waist in a comforting hug. He calls back to Conrad, assuring him that we'll be there in a second. As the distant call fades, Jeremiah whispers to me, his warm breath against my ear, "My bedroom door is always open for you.”
His words carry a promise, a reassurance that this stolen moment on the pier is just a prelude to something more. I meet his gaze, a shared understanding passing between us. The interruption may have cut the night short, but the invitation lingers, a whispered promise that the sanctuary of the pier is not the only place where our connection can unfold.
Reluctantly, we disentangle ourselves, the echo of our interrupted desires lingering in the air. As we make our way back towards the distant call of Conrad and the world beyond the pier, Jeremiah's hand finds mine, and we share a glance that speaks volumes—a silent agreement that the night may have been interrupted, but the story between us is far from over.
