this is potentially the wildest and most interesting team lineup we've had in awhile:
Steph/Batgirl or Spoiler (idk which one they're going to call her)
Irey West/Thunderheart
Jai West/Surge
Maxine Baker/Animal Girl
Jeffery "PJ" Holt/Fairplay
Raghu Seetharaman/Quiz Kid
So far, that's a Bat as (presumably) the adult supervision with two Flashes, Animal Man's daughter, and two Terrifics (Michael's kid and Terry's ward) as the main team...fascinating choices by Jeremy Adams and Travis Mercer

The Band Wagon (1953) Review - Washed up song and dance man Tony Hunter (Fred Astaire) has been invited to star in a musical written by his two friends Lily (Nanette Fabray) and Lester (Oscar Levant). Lily and Lester have the perfect idea for a director in Jeffery Cordova (Jack Buchanan) and a leading lady in Gabrielle Gerard (Cyd Charise). However, everyone quickly learns that Jeffery might not be the great director he was promised to be and that Gabrielle might be too young to play opposite Tony. Will they put on a terrific show and revive Tony Hunter's career? Or will the musical flop and force Tony into retirement? You'll have to tune in to find out!

Star Trek Voyager | S03xE12 - Macrocosm
[Ronald B. Moore - Visual Effects Supervisor]
"I really enjoyed it, going outside and just out in the back lot one time. We took a blue screen and we hung it up and we got take these creatures, fill them up with slime and explosives, and we just spent the day blowing them up. It was terrific. I mean, we had guts and stuff...guts, slime everywhere. We shot them inside of a Jefferies tube we had made and we just hung them up on the wall. There were people all over the lot coming out watching as we'd blow these things up. It was just terrific fun."

Before The Lost Boys became what we all know and love, this early piece of art was created, which reflects what could have easily been made instead. Originally, the film was meant to be a Peter Pan-like with a Goonies-style adventure about pre-teen vampires, and even the Goonies director Richard Donner was, in fact, going to direct it.
“Warners and I felt pretty strongly that the Pan stuff needed to go; and personally I still felt as though the script wasn’t quite where I wanted to be. I had just seen the wonderfully terrifying FIGHT NIGHT, and I knew that we really had to step up our game if we wanted to do something better than that. I wanted LOST BOYS to be the end-all teenage vampire movie, which on one hand had a rich sense of humor, and on the other could scare the living shit out of you.” - Richard Donner   “When it came to writing the second draft, Jan and I were able to put in forty-hour weeks on getting something closer to what Dick Donner wanted. As requested, we made Michael and the lost boys 15-year-olds, the younger kids 11-year-olds and turned Star into a girl. We then changed several of the names in the script to take out the PETER PAN references. Wendy became Lucy, in homage to Bram Stoker’s DRACULA, and Peter became David - another name from ancient mythology. I believe we worked on the second draft for nearly three months and turned it in to Donner in July 1985. After that we didn’t hear anything for a short while - no notes or feedback regarding the new draft at all. Because of the buzz surrounding the sale of LOST BOYS, Jan and I then got hired to write a movie at paramount. Halfway through working on that we suddenly get a call from Warner Bros asking us to go to Dick Donner’s house in Hawaii and to do a third draft of the script with him. It was a very enticing offer, and would have been a lot of fun, but we were right in the middle of this new product and needed time to finish that. As we can imagine that didn’t sit very well with them, and the next thing we hear is that we’re off the film.” - James Jeremias “I liked Jan and James very much and I thought they were very talented writers; but this thing was really starting to take too long and they weren’t available when i needed them. That’s when I brought in Jeffery Boam to overhaul the script. He was a terrific writer, who was also doing extensive work on INNERSPACE at Warner Bros for Joe Dante and Steven Spielberg. I felt he was the guy that could get LOST BOYS back on track. He really responded to the material and was in total agreement that we could take the overall age range of the characters up a notch.” - Richard Donner  “The first conscious decision that was made when I came along - it wasn’t my idea, they told me they wanted to do this - was, “Let’s make everybody older”. It was from Dick’s experience on THE GOONIES, where he had a bunch of pre-teen characters. He felt, first of all, that he had done that movie, and that it limits the film’s appeal - it becomes regarded as a kid’s movie. No one was over 12-years old and it was much more from a kid’s point of view. It was a pre-adolescent fantasy about vampires; which had some kind of symbolic metaphor for growing up. The kids wanted to stay innocent and young, they were reaching puberty,  which was kind of represented by the vampires; it had this children's story quality to it, but it didn’t really have a good resolution. The original version, we felt, didn’t really advance the characters. They were basically back where they started at the end of the story. They had fought off the vampire threat, and that was it. Somebody’s life ought to be improved. Also by raising the age, we were able to do more with the characters emotionally. Older kids have different emotions, needs and desires, and that changed the movie substantially.” - Jeffery Boam (screenwriter)

King Falls AM - Episode 5: Night of the Living Dread
View on Google Docs
Summary: July 1, 2015 - Sammy & Ben learn of some breaking news regarding the Lake Hatchenhaw John Doe, but not everyone is as pleased as the broadcast duo.
[Podcast intro music]
Announcer Dear listeners, please note that the following program may contain views that do not reflect that of King Falls AM, its management, or its subsidiaries. Listener discretion is advised.
[KFAM intro music]
Sammy You’re listening to King Falls AM, that’s 660 on the radio dial. I’m your host, Sammy Stevens, and as always we are joined by producer and co-host extraordinaire, Ben Arnold.
Ben [trying not to be amused] You’re so- you’re so happy, aren’t you? You’re a child. Getting so giddy over that message.
Sammy Listening to a warning before a radio broadcast I’m on has literally been on the bucket list for a long time. Thanks Merv!
Ben *laughter* Ridiculous. A glutton for punishment.
Sammy What can I say? I enjoy a nice game of hard ball! Uh, y’know, but enough about what Merv doesn’t want you to hear, let’s talk about what he does want you to hear. And what do we have cooking tonight, Ben?
Ben Dude, it’s stacked alright? Stacked. We’ve got the- lovely Miss Emily Potter from the King Falls Library giving us her picks for enlightened summer reading.
Sammy Terrific! We always love speaking with Emily!
Ben You and me both.
Sammy I said “we,” Ben.
Ben Uh, I know. I- *breathes in* [stilted] I- We-We-uh, We’ve got some really cool news! here. We-we are announcing the line-up for the first annual King Falls Ambient Music Festival. That’s coming up the second hour.
Sammy Wait a second. The King Falls Ambient Music Festival? Is this town even big enough for a festival?
Ben Oh yeah! It’s like Coachella[1] but for hipsters that just want to relax. It’s all about “setting the mood.”
Sammy You know, I’m wondering if they’re gonna make it to a second annual.
Ben And then, um, [reluctant and slipping into mumbling] opening up the show we-we’ve got the- doctor *mumbling*
Sammy I-I’m sorry, Ben, what was that? You’re trailing off, buddy.
Ben We have that umm, *sniffs, lets out breath* one… guy. You know that- fo- w- talking about that *deep breath* one thing—
Sammy [trying to cut him off] Ben—
Ben —from a month ago or so—?
Sammy What? What are you talking about?
Ben You know— May- maybe we should start it with Uh, callers first! [mildly frantic] Just-uh-Give us a call at 424-279-3858 and let’s talk about… *tsk* anything! Let’s uh, whats your-whats your-whats-whats on your mind King Falls?
Sammy Ladies and gentlemen, put down your phones for a second. What Ben is trying to say is we’ve got a scoop here this evening on King Falls AM. We’re gonna be speaking with—
Ben [cutting Sammy off]Or you can tweet us! @kingfallsam. I-I-I will literally talk about anything right now. Even to Mr. Derschwitz about that weird toenail thing. Let-lets-lets go, people!
Sammy I thought we agreed—
Ben I know. Sammy, I’m sorry it’s just, [slightly more frantic] I’m-I’m not feelin’ the best here. Alright? my stomach, is all… knotted up, just thinking about this.
Sammy That is journalism. That feeling is journalism—
Ben [speaking over Sammy] I think it might actually be an ulcer! It Tastes, like Fear and Feels, like Cancer . It’s way more than anxiety. I-I’m gonna call Dr. Raúl, at break.
Sammy He’s a chiropractor!
Ben Maybe he can refer me?
Sammy Power through it, buddy! Look at this folks, we got somebody dialing into the hotline right now! You ready for this Ben? Come on.
Ben Please, be Reverend Hawthorne so we can talk about the Revival next month.
Sammy Oh stop it. You know he isn’t even scheduled!
Ben I just thought— maybe that’s how prayers work, I don’t know, I’m not a reverend!
Sammy King Falls AM, you’re on the air.
Dr. Rosenblum [Dr. Rosenblum’s voice is measured and monotonous and mildly creepy at all times] Good evening, this is Dr. Jeffery Rosenblum, with the, King Falls County Coroner’s Office.
Ben C-can I please just say—
Sammy Dr. Rosenblum, it is a pleasure to speak with you this evening.
Rosenblum Excited to be here, Sammy. Ecstatic even. We listen on slow nights.
Ben That’s the scariest thing I’ve ever heard.
Sammy Much appreciated, Doc. Now, as fate would have it, you were the overseeing physician working on the Lake Hatchenhaw John Doe, is that correct?
Ben Doc? Can you just, hold on for- one- moment- please?
Rosenblum Of course, Ben I—
Sammy Don’t start, Ben! We agreed to see this through.
Ben All I’m saying i- lemme finish- a- i-is that maybe it’s not our place *deep breath* to break this kind of news.
Sammy Fine. You know what? You’re right! Let’s just give this to our friends down at Channel 13 and let them be the ones to alert the public about this.
Ben [journalist voice] Doc, Ben Arnold. Tell us about cracking open the mystery body.
Sammy [quietly] Oh.
Rosenblum It’s true that I was the operating physician on that particular John Doe, y-es, irrefutablyy
Sammy Now, as I understand, your official report was released yesterday morning, doctor, but amazingly enough, not one publication or news station in our town- including King Falls AM- reported on it.
Rosenblum You are correct. Busy news day- one would assume.
Ben So, that means, you are— free to talk about it on air.
Rosenblum I would be elated
Sammy First and foremost on everyone’s minds: were there any signs of, uh, y’know, the lake mo- *sighs* I can’t.
Ben Did Kingsie make the body, bite the big one?
Rosenblum There was no evidence that a creature large or small had anything to do with the deceased.
Ben *sigh of relief* That- I knew Kingsie didn’t have it in her.
Sammy Now, Dr. Rosenblum, can you tell us if there was any foul play involved at all?
Rosenblum During our first autopsy we were not able to distinguish with certainty the cause of death. But there were no signs of foul play
Sammy I’m sorry, did you say “first” autopsy?
Ben [confused] Is that normal? Did you- find out the cause of death during the… second autopsy?
Rosenblum Indeed. It was six individual gunshot wounds to the victim’s head. Three shots to the temporal lobe, two to the mendulla oblongata—
Sammy What?! Six gunshot wounds?!
Rosenblum To the cranium, yes. One to the frontal lobe, another to—
Ben So the Lake Hatchenhaw John Doe was, murdered?
Sammy I can’t believe this! This is big! Why didn’t one news outlet report this thing yesterday?!
Rosenblum Well, the cause of death was inconclusive and with no signs of foul play, it was not exactly a juicy story.
Ben and Sammy Wait a second.
Rosenblum …yes?
Sammy I’m sorry, doc. I’m not in the medical orrr criminal fields but, how is six gunshots not foul play?
Rosenblum Well, that was between the first autopsy and the second. The gunshots were self-defense administered via Deputy Kreighauser at my behest.
Sammy Ben, we’re gonna wanna get Troy on the phone and see what he’s got to say about this.
Ben “Things Ben Arnold would never think under ordinary circumstances for 800, Alex.”[2]
Sammy Doc, while we’re getting Deputy Troy on the line, would you mind if we took a quick break to hear from one of our sponsors?
Rosenblum That’s just- Dandy.
[light bg music]
Greg Frickard After a long day’s work or a tough day’s play, you probably just wanna come home and relax. No need to slave over a hot stove for hours on end. Well that’s where we come in! Here at Granny Frickard’s, we know that the less time you spend doing the things you don’t like, is the more time you spend with the ones you love. So come get some of the best frog legs that money can buy. Granny Frickard’s French-fried farm-fresh never-frozen filleted-and-fricasseed fried-and-flambeed frog legs. Mm-mm-mm. So get on down to Granny Frickard’s Froggery at the corner of Main Street and 7th Avenue. We’ll put some pep in your step and some hop in your heart.
[KFAM intro music]
Sammy And we’re back on King Falls AM, here with King Falls County Coroner, Dr. Jeffery Rosenblum.
Rosenblum A Pleasure.
Sammy Do you have Troy, Ben?
Ben He’s booking one of the Williams boys for mooning. He’ll call us in a few.
Sammy I’m a little out of sorts here, doc. Can you explain what happened between the first inconclusive autopsy and the point where Troy filled the cadaver full of lead.
Rosenblum Of course. As I was finishing the initial post-mortem, it came to my attention that the deceased began to emit a hissing sound, fluctuating between the lower thorax and the larynx.
Ben Oh my God.
Rosenblum I called for Deputy Kreighauser and he entered, as I wanted someone else to see this- phenomenon. That’s when the John Doe began a slight, thrashing about the upper torso.
Ben Um… are you saying—
Rosenblum The deputy began to fumble for his sidearm while we both discerned that something was wildly- amiss. The deceased opened its eyes and instantly grabbed for the lapel of my lab coat with voracious tenacity.
Ben Wh- ah- go on.
Rosenblum It gnashed its teeth as I emitted a terrified, albeit, high pitched, scream. And that’s when Troy unholstered his sidearm and administered six lethal shots to the reanimated corpse’s cranium.
Ben A zombie.
Sammy Alright, is there- [fumbling] Let’s just say- is there-
Ben We’ve got Troy on the line.
Deputy Troy [in bg] I don’t care if he was only joshin’. You can’t show your G-D derriere out in public! [car door slams] [pleasantly] Hey boys, what’s goin’ on tonight?
Sammy You tell us, Troy, holy geez! Uh, we’ve got Dr. Rosenblum on the line here and—
Deputy Troy Is this about the zombie?
Ben Yes! So-so you’re confirming this story, Troy?
Deputy Troy Well, hell yeah I’m confirming! I had to do three hours of damn paper work from unloadin’ my pistola into a corpse! Sheriff Gunderson was not the happiest of campers.
Ben [excited and awed] This is amazing… This is unprecedented .
Sammy [skeptical] This is a little unbelievable, Troy.
Rosenblum It is a first in my profession. Believe you me. [still tonelessly] Wowzers.
Deputy Troy Honest engine[3] boys. I capped the all get out of that thing! It had the doc by the face ‘bout to start chewing!
Rosenblum You’re my hero, Deputy Troy.
Deputy Troy Shucks, wasn’t nothin’ special.
Ben [slightly sullen] Except killing the first instance of a zombie in King Falls since—
Sammy Don’t say “since”.
Ben … Well… Since that one time at the mall in the '80s.
Sammy No, that’s not a real thing, Ben. That’s a film.
Ben [worked up] Sammy? How many extraordinary things are gonna have to SLAP you right in the face to make you buy into this? KING FALLS, MAN.
Deputy Troy You know me, Sammy. I always shoot ya straight. But it was the craziest sh[bleep]t I’ve ever seen. I mean it was like my-ex-wife-needs-alimony-money crazy.
Ben See? Even Barney Fife[4] saw it.
Sammy *sighs* I just—
Rosenblum I don’t want to cause an uproar here, but since that exam, there have been, other cases.
Ben Of frickin’ zombies?
Rosenblum Of reanimation among corpses… yes.
Deputy Troy Doc, you just give me a call if you need. I’m more than happy to go Clint Eastwood if the situation arises.
Rosenblum Will do, Deputy. Thank you so much for your- assistance. Without you, there may not have been this- interview.
Deputy Troy [proud] To protect and serve.
Sammy I can’t take all this in right now, Dr. Rosenblum I- e- Thank you so much for your insightful information.
Rosenblum As they say, [still monotone] “you got it, duude.”
[click, dial tone]
Ben You okay, Sammy? You… don’t look so well.
Deputy Troy Ah, hell, boys.[siren whoop] I gotta go. I’ll call you back later tonight! One of the Williams boys is tryin’ ta saw through the bars outside the jailhouse? [sirens in bg] [through megaphone] Jacob Williams put your hands UP and the file DOWN.
[click, dial tone]
Ben Alright King Falls, you’ve heard our story, let’s hear yours. Have you or anyone you know experienced anything like what the doctor spoke of? Reanimation? The walking—
Sammy Don’t.
Ben You know what I mean. Give us a call or tweet us.
Sammy Looks like the board is lighting up!
Ben Um…
Sammy What’s up? Okay, it can’t be any crazier than what we just heard, Ben.
Ben Line One, Sammy.
Sammy Welcome to King Falls AM, you’re on with Sammy and Ben.
Line 1 [female, almost sounds automated] Good evening, Sammy—
Sammy Do I know you ma'am?
Riley — please hold for Mayor Grisham.
Ben He… Probably just wants us to— mark these tapes as, evidence. *nervous laugh* Right, Sammy?
Sammy Or burn them.
Riley Sammy Stevens, Mayor Grisham.
Sammy Mayor?
Mayor Grisham Sammy… Ben.
Sammy You’re on live on King Falls AM, sir.
Mayor Grisham [commanding] Take me off and go to break. We need to chat.
Sammy No can do. Ben says we aren’t scheduled for break for another- uh- at least ten minutes.
Mayor Grisham Ben. Cut. To. Commercial.
Ben Uh- uh- uh- the thing is- I- I- I can’t- do that. Sir.
Mayor Grisham [threateningly pleasant] You boys want to talk live on air? We can talk live on air.
Sammy [challenging] Nothin’ to hide on this end of the phone, Mayor Grisham.
Mayor Grisham I hear your snide remarks, Sammy. I’ve read the transcripts.
Sammy Which! let’s be honest, is pretty weird. We’re a late night AM talk show, why are you bothering with us?
Mayor Grisham Oh, I don’t bother with you. I try to keep up to date with all the local news and entertainment. I gotta say, I was really happy a big city radio guy decided to come play host at our little radio station.
Sammy Well, I’m more than happy to—
Mayor Grisham I wasn’t finished… But I have to say, I’m a little less than thrilled with [accusingly] all the excitement you brought with you.
Sammy I’d hardly call reporting the news “excitement”, sir—
Mayor Grisham It’s interesting to me that I don’t see Channel 13 breaking these crazy stories.
Ben [quickly] No offense, your honor, but those idiots don’t know their a[bleep]holes from their elbows.
Mayor Grisham And you boys being on site when these “events” happen? [softly, still accusing] It’s a little bit of a coincidence don’t you think?
Sammy Are you insinuating that we are staging these events, Mayor?
Mayor Grisham I’m stating facts. I’m sure your ratings are way, way up there since all these sensational events seem to coincide with your broadcast. Why do you think that is? Furthermore, I mean who’s up listening to you at this ungodly hour of the night?!
Sammy Seemingly most of the town, Sir. As well as whomever you’ve hired to keep an ear on us.
Mayor Grisham I’ve tried to be nice about this… And I tried to be civil… but I think it’s about time that you troublemakers changed formats. No more of this funny business. It’s not good for the listeners. It’s not good for the residents. And honestly? it’s not good for me. I don’t appreciated being painted in this light, gentlemen.
Sammy Oh! You mean the light where you as a public service,[sic] try to quell the voice of the people.
Ben It’s not your right to tell us what we can and can’t report on, sir. All due respect.
Mayor Grisham [rudely] All due respect, Ben Arnold. Just a couple of months ago you were digging up old records on eBay for Chet Sebastian to run on about. Now you’re a media star?? That’s worrisome! Seems you fellas have All the reasons in the world to fabricate these issues, and I have to say I’m not gonna sit here and listen to this, while you LIE TO THE GOOD PEOPLE OF KING FALLS.
Sammy Well, when we start “fabricating” and “making things up,” you can come throw the book at us. But until then- [click, dial tone] Whoops! Looks like you just got disconnected. I’d wait for you to give us a call back and all, but with it not being an election year I probably shouldn’t hold my breath.
Ben Line One iiis lit up again, Sammy.
Sammy [insincerely] Oh, sorry about that Mayor! I must have fabricated accidentally dumping your call when-
Esther Rollens [heavy metal music in bg] [voice old and wavering] Did you boys fund a lavender ball of yarn in there? Been looking for it all week! [click, dial tone]
Ben [shaken] Sammy, I think that commercial might do us some good right now.
[KFAM outro]

Hound Dog Taylor’s Hand — Hound Dog Taylor’s Hand (Planned Obsolescence Recording & Novelty Inc.)
Tumblr media

Hound Dog Taylor's Hand by Hound Dog Taylor's Hand
For decades now, the Pacific Northwest — and Seattle in particular — have served as shorthand for a certain strain or strains of guitar-based music. Some of it is melancholy and pastoral; some of it is fuzzed-out and timeless. But there are also weirder corners of that sound to be found in and around Washington State: think A-Frames, think Old Time Relijun, think Climax Golden Twins. These groups travel in and out of the familiar at a moment’s notice, yet also tap into a more experimental, improvisational spirit. Seattle’s Hound Dog Taylor’s Hand — featuring Climax Golden Twins’ Jeffery Taylor on guitar — is a fine addition to that group. Borrowing equal parts from improvisational music, post-rock, and full-on skronk, their second full-length is a fantastic display of their strengths as a group.
One minor thing to mention from the outset: this is their second full-length, and their second self-titled full-length. (Hey, it worked for Peter Gabriel.) It was released in late 2019, over six years after their first recording was made available. In the time since then, they’ve also recorded a handful of EPs. With the 2019 Hound Dog Taylor’s Hand, though, something in the group seems to have crystallized: there’s a boldness to their music that sounds towering — not a description one might normally associate with, well, groups that frequently dip into the well of improvisation.
Opener “Look Up and Let Go” begins with John Seman’s contrabass playing a simple and loping melody. From there, Taylor’s guitar and Mark Ostrowski’s drums enter the picture; the mood overall is stately, restrained, and detachedly majestic. Halfway through the song, Greg Kelley’s trumpet makes its entrance, sending the whole thing into a kind of sun-drenched fugue state. The closest reference point to this song in particular might be Sun City Girls’ Funeral Mariachi — but don’t let the stately tempo suggest this entire album will ride that particular narcotic groove. Far from it.
“The Immensity of the Problem” ventures more into a familiar post-rock terrain, as Taylor brings up a glorious squall of feedback with his guitar as the rhythm section modulates things, allowing for a more stately procession behind the chaos. And the concise, pointed feel of “The Vulgar Ideal” suggests this band could make a terrific straightforward punk record if they ever wanted to do that — at least until Kelley lets loose with a wailing solo on the trumpet to bring the song to a close.
Hound Dog Taylor’s Hand splits the difference between a copious array of influences throughout, never quite landing on the same place twice. That’s audible from the outset: the album’s second song, “Detective of Light,” also uses a contrabass intro, but the music rapidly turns frenetic and paranoid — like a time-displaced Naked City crashing the recording sessions for Duke Ellington’s Money Jungle.  Writing about a band whose music covers so much stylistic terrain can be difficult, and pinning down exactly why this album feels like a leap forward for Hound Dog Taylor’s Hand isn’t easy. But it comes off as the strongest work in an already strong discography: both the broadest demonstration of what this band is capable of and, paradoxically, their most accessible work yet.

Game Balls from the Saints 48-7 plucking of the Eagles
New Orleans gives their fans an early portion of bird for Thanksgiving, and now gets ready for the main course
The New Orleans Saints dismantled another opponent on national television. This time they victimized the defending Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles, taking them apart in a game that was over well before the 4th quarter, and putting Philadelphia's playoff hopes in serious jeopardy. The Saints outgained the Eagles, 321-109 in total yardage in the first half while taking a 24-7 lead into the break. Touchdowns on their first three possessions of the second half put an exclamation point on this one, as New Orleans piled up 546 yards of total offense, while holding Philadelphia to only 196. Several Saints players had terrific games in this pummeling of Philadelphia, but here are a few of the biggest performances.
TRE'QUAN SMITH
Smith, a rookie 3rd round pick from Central Florida, has looked more comfortable in the New Orleans offense since a breakout performance against Washington last month. Smith exploded for 10 receptions, 157 yards and a touchdown in the best performance of his short career. He made several spectacular catches, showing sharp route running skills and precise ability to adjust for the ball against coverage. Smith has the skillset to be a dangerous weapon for this offense down the stretch, and with the emergence of Keith Kirkwood and the newly signed Brandon Marshall may make this the most well-rounded New Orleans offense ever.
DREW BREES
In his 200th game as Saints quarterback, Brees was as great as ever. He torched the beat up Eagle secondary for 360 yards and 4 touchdowns in just a tad over three quarters of action. He now has 25 touchdown passes, against just one interception for the season. Brees fired a scoring strike through coverage to Austin Carr for the Saints first touchdown, then two perfectly placed touchdown passes to Tre'quan Smith and Michael Thomas later that demoralized the Eagles defense. The fact that Brees has gotten passed up for league M.V.P. is unfathomable, but with ongoing performances like he's had this year, he may leave voters little choice but to award him a long overdue honor.
ALVIN KAMARA/MARK INGRAM
Much to the horror of the rest of the NFL, the most dynamic tandem of running backs in the league are back in full force. The two Pro Bowl backs combined for 174 rushing yards, 201 yards from scrimmage, and 3 touchdowns. Mark Ingram would get the ball rolling on the first drive with a 38-yd. burst to set up a field goal, then later bounced a run outside for a second quarter touchdown, one of two on the day. He finished with 103 rushing yards on just 16 carries, his second straight 100+ yard performance, and is creeping closer to overtaking Deuce McAllister as the Saints all-time rushing leader.
Alvin Kamara had 71 rushing yards of his own, and added a 37-yd. touchdown reception early in the fourth quarter on a spectacularly run pattern past former Saints safety Malcolm Jenkins. It was the only time either back was targeted in the passing game all afternoon, but showed the explosive versatility that either back possesses, making them feared by defensive coordinators.
MARSON LATTIMORE
Lattimore's first quarter interception on the Eagles' second drive helped set up a touchdown drive to give them a 17-0 lead and put momentum squarely on the Saints side. Lattimore, who had four tackles to go along with his interception, led the way in a shutdown performance by the entire New Orleans secondary. Dangerous Philadelphia receivers Zach Ertz, Alshon Jeffery, and Golden Tate were held to a combined 11 catches for just 96 yards, and Nelson Agholor was shut out. Lattimore, along with Eli Apple and P.J. Williams, are beginning to round into a solid trio of corners capable of containing a talented receiving corps.
CAM JORDAN
Jordan had only one tackle for the game, and none of his team's three sacks on Carson Wentz in another strong outing from the Saints front seven. Jordan however did cave in the right side of the Philadelphia line all afternoon, and hurried Wentz on several occasions. He nailed wideout Golden Tate in the Eagles backfield for a big loss that halted a drive, and continues to be a major reason for the Saints defensive success.
Brees was once again not sacked in another outstanding performance by the Saints offensive line. Michael Thomas caught 4 passes for 92 yards and a touchdown, becoming the first New Orleans receiver to go over 1,000 yards receiving in his first three seasons. Alex Anzalone and Demario Davis led another powerful effort by the Saints linebackers, while Sheldon Rankins and Alex Okafor disrupted the Eagles backfield all evening. This was another dominant all-around team effort by New Orleans, who now set their sites on a Thanksgiving feast of Dirty Bird next. Let Falcons Hate Week begin!

The Batman: Trying Desperately To Replicate Nolan
3/5 Written by Luke Barnes Summary A new emotional  Batman, played by Robert Pattinson, is born. Is this Nolan? Not quite. I will admit I liked this film more than I thought I was going to based on the trailers, there are a number of things that work here and a few major things that don’t, but to the positive first. Jeffery Wright, Zoe Kravitz and Paul Dano are all terrific. Wright and…

Presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump has thrown everything but the kitchen sink at Hillary Clinton when it comes to her husband's escapades. "The kitchen sink," in this case, is Jeffery Epstein's “Sex Slave Island” and President Bill Clinton’s ties to it.
Why wouldn’t Trump use this ammo? The answer is simple: Trump himself has ties to Epstein, the billionaire Democratic donor and convicted pedophile known for having under-age sex slaves on his private plane and what the media calls "Sex Slave Island."
Here are seven connections between Trump and Epstein's sex slave endeavors that you need to know about:
1.Trump himself has said that Epstein is “a lot of fun to be with,” adding that he admired the sex offender's affinity for beautiful women “on the younger side.”
"I've known Jeff for fifteen years. Terrific guy,'' Trump once said about the convicted sex offender. "He's a lot of fun to be with. It is even said that he likes beautiful women as much as I do, and many of them are on the younger side. No doubt about it -- Jeffrey enjoys his social life."
2. Trump was named in Epstein’s “little black book.”
Epstein’s “little black book” was stolen by a former employee in 2004. The book, nicknamed "The Holy Grail" by the employee, revealed the name of Donald Trump and listed “14 phone numbers including emergency numbers, car numbers, and numbers to Trump's security guard and houseman.”
3. Trump has allegedly flown on Epstein’s private plane — a hot spot for under-age sex orgies.
“Mark Epstein, Jeffrey's brother, testified in 2009 that Trump flew on Jeffrey's private jet at least once,” reports VICE News. “Meanwhile, message pads [see below] from Epstein's Palm Beach mansion that were seized by investigators and obtained by VICE News indicate that Trump called Epstein twice in November of 2004.”
Epstein’s private Boeing 727, according to one of his alleged victims, Virginia Roberts, was nicknamed the “Lolita Express.” Roberts recalled “unsavoury” sex orgies on the private plane when she was just 15 years of age with Epstein and his friends.
4. Both Trump and Epstein are named as sex abusers in a case with an under-aged girl.
Radar Online reports that a woman in California, “identified” as Katie Johnson, filed a $100 million lawsuit against Trump on April 26, accusing the real estate mogul of raping her when she was just 13 years old.
Johnson “claims Trump raped her when she was 13-years-old and forced her to engage in sex acts by threatening to harm her and her family,” notes The Independent UK. “She claims the alleged abuse took place over a four-month period at underage sex parties held in New York City in 1994.” Epstein was also named for alleged sexual misconduct and threats.
Trump’s team adamantly denies the accusation, suspecting the claim is possibly a hoax since there is allegedly “no evidence” the plaintiff “actually exists.”
5. Epstein admitted to knowing Trump under oath, and curiously pled the fifth to Trump attending sex parties with underage girls.
Back in 2010, Epstein admitted to “socializing” with Trump, but when a lawyer representing an under-aged victim of Epstein’s asked if he has “ever socialized with Donald Trump in the presence of females under the age of 18,” Epstein curiously pled the Fifth. Per Vice News:
Q: Have you ever had a personal relationship with Donald Trump? A. What do you mean by "personal relationship," sir? Q. Have you socialized with him? A. Yes, sir. Q. Yes? A. Yes, sir. Q. Have you ever socialized with Donald Trump in the presence of females under the age of 18? A: Though I'd like to answer that question, at least today I'm going to have to assert my Fifth, Sixth, and 14th Amendment rights, sir.
6. At least one of Epstein’s underage sex victims was recruited from Trump’s Mar-a-Lago — which he frequented often.
Virginia Roberts, an alleged victim of Epstein’s, "was recruited to perform a massage for Epstein while working as a $9-per-hour locker room attendant at Mar-A-Lago.”
Roberts claims that “Epstein turned her into a ‘sex slave’ and pimped her out to various friends, including England's Prince Andrew. Over the years, the passengers on Epstein's jet, she said, included ‘a whole bunch of other girls, sometimes famous people, sometimes some politicians.'"
7. Trump was subpoenaed in 2009 for his connection to Epstein’s under-age sex slave rings. Trump has denied ever being served.
In 2009, Trump was subpoenaed in a case against Epstein concerning victim Virginia Roberts. Trump's attorney Alan Garten said that the subpoena "never happened."
"There is no debate over what happened," said one of Roberts' attorneys. "I served Mr. Trump with a subpoena for deposition in 2009. He talked to me voluntarily, and consequently we withdrew the subpoena in light of his voluntarily providing information…. I can't imagine there being any dispute of any of this."
Additionally, Garten told VICE News in January that Mr. Trump has "no relationship" with Epstein other than the Democratic donor frequenting Trump's Mar-A-Lago. "A lot of people hung out there, including Jeffrey Epstein," said Garten. "That is the only connection."
According to the evidence, however, the connections with Epstein appear to go a lot deeper than that.
“ The internet LOVES pedophile conspiracies right? Well how about this one? Trump is best buds with this guy. Keep in mind, nobody is telling us where the girls from the border are being taken. We know where the boys are.
WHERE ARE THE GIRLS?

Training camp primer: NFC East NFC East (listed in predicted order of finish) Dallas Cowboys Projected 2020 record: 11-5 2019 record: 8-8 2019 summary: The offense clicked as well as anyone could have hoped under new coordinator Kellen Moore, but untimely hiccups and defensive inconsistency led to a pair of three-game losing streaks. After a finish outside the playoffs, longtime head coach Jason Garrett was not retained. Key additions: WR CeeDee Lamb, DT Gerald McCoy, DT Dontari Poe, S Ha Ha Clinton-Dix, QB Andy Dalton, CB Trevon Diggs, DT Neville Gallimore, K Greg Zuerlein Noteworthy losses: C Travis Frederick, CB Byron Jones, DE Robert Quinn, WR Randall Cobb, DE Michael Bennett, DT Maliek Collins, TE Jason Witten, S Jeff Heath, G Xavier Su’a-Filo Cause for concern: Quinn looked rejuvenated in 2019, landing him a big contract in Chicago, and other talented defenders in Jones, Bennett and Collins are all gone. There’s enough depth to survive at cornerback, but the pass rush opposite DeMarcus Lawrence might need a boost. Position battle worth watching: Frederick wasn’t quite himself in 2019, but his retirement was nonetheless a blow. Who will replace him? Connor McGovern, a 2019 third-rounder who missed his rookie campaign due to injury, will try to unseat veteran Joe Looney, while fourth-round rookie Tyler Biadasz could factor. Over-Under win total from PointsBet: 9.5 The Cowboys are a classic candidate to improve, as their 8-8 record last season belied a terrific plus-113 point differential. There are several questions still to answer, but they have the talent to hit double-digit wins with ease. 2020 forecast: It’s unclear how much new head coach Mike McCarthy will influence the offense, but a loaded unit should continue to thrive with CeeDee Lamb’s arrival. Dak Prescott is still playing for a payday, and Ezekiel Elliott should be in better shape. Dallas’ ceiling depends on new coordinator Mike Nolan’s defense, but the Cowboys should battle the Eagles for the division title. Philadelphia Eagles Projected 2020 record: 10-6 2019 record: 9-7 2019 summary: An offense ravaged by injuries struggled to move the ball, but Carson Wentz & Co. won four straight to close the season and claim the NFC East. Wentz, however, was concussed early in what would be a season-ending playoff loss to the Seahawks. Key additions: CB Darius Slay, DT Javon Hargrave, WR Jalen Reagor, CB Nickell Robey-Coleman, S Will Parks, QB Jalen Hurts, LB Jatavis Brown Noteworthy losses: S Malcolm Jenkins, RB Jordan Howard, DE Vinny Curry, CB Ronald Darby, OL Halapoulivaati Vaitai, DT Tim Jernigan, WR Nelson Agholor, LB Nigel Bradham, LB Kamu Grugier-Hill Cause for concern: Once one of the league’s best, the offensive line is showing cracks. Pro Bowl guard Brandon Brooks (Achilles) is out for the year, and the contingency plan — veteran left tackle Jason Peters re-signed to switch to right guard — is risky. Peters’ replacement, Andre Dillard, was shaky as a first-round rookie last season, and center Jason Kelce will turn 33 in November. Position battle worth watching: After scraping the bottom of the barrel last season, the Eagles have options at wideout, but Alshon Jeffery’s health (foot) leaves a few roles up for grabs. First-round rookie Jalen Reagor should start, but he fits best in the slot or as the Z receiver, which is DeSean Jackson’s nominal spot. JJ Arcega-Whiteside is built to play the X but underwhelmed as a rookie. Greg Ward and rookie John Hightower could also factor in. Over-Under win total from PointsBet: 9.5 A decimated roster made it to nine wins a year ago, and the Eagles are clearly improved, so we feel good about the over. That said, Brooks’ injury was a big blow, and several other key players have a history of getting hurt, so it’s not without risk. 2020 forecast: Wentz got much-needed weapons, and the defense added difference makers up front (Hargrave) and on the back end (Slay). If the reconfigured O-line clicks, Wentz could return to a Pro Bowl level and Philadelphia could be a Super Bowl contender. Still, the Eagles’ variance is high, as Wentz and Jackson have worrisome injury histories, and Fletcher Cox showed signs of decline in 2019. New York Giants Projected 2020 record: 6-10 2019 record: 4-12 2019 summary: The Giants benched Eli Manning early in favor of rookie Daniel Jones, who showed bright spots amid a turnover-heavy rookie campaign. New York did win two of its last three, though that likely cost it top college pass-rusher Chase Young, who Washington took No. 2 overall. Key additions: CB James Bradberry, OT Andrew Thomas, LB Blake Martinez, S Xavier McKinney, OLB Kyler Fackrell, OT Cameron Fleming, RB Dion Lewis, OT Matt Peart Noteworthy losses: LT Nate Solder (opt-out), QB Eli Manning, LB Alec Ogletree, RT Mike Remmers, S Antoine Bethea, C Jon Halapio, LB Deone Bucannon, K Aldrick Rosas Cause for concern: The Giants had only one player with more than 4.5 sacks or 13 QB hits (Markus Golden, 10 and 27) in 2019, but they didn’t add much and brought back Golden only after he had few suitors in free agency. They must hope Lorenzo Carter or Oshane Ximines develops, as Fackrell is hardly dynamic off the edge. Position battle worth watching: Solder has been a poor performer and a massive overpay at left tackle, but his opt-out leaves a major hole. Thomas will very likely fill it, but then who steps in at right tackle? The veteran Fleming should have the edge over Peart, an athletic third-round rookie who must get stronger. Over-Under win total from PointsBet: 6.5 Good quarterbacks tend to make a leap in Year 2, so if you’re a believer in Jones, we don’t blame you for taking the over. But we see a few too many concerns on both sides of the ball to have high expectations in Joe Judge’s first season as head coach. 2020 forecast: Judge and his Patriots-influenced staff aren’t under pressure to win early, so Jones’ development should be the top priority. The Giants will hope the QB returns with better ball security and awareness for pressure, but that’s asking a lot behind an unsettled O-line, even if Thomas’ transition is smooth. Jones does have a nice set of weapons, but the defense has significant question marks. Washington Football Team Projected 2020 record: 6-10 2019 record: 3-13 2019 summary: A tire fire from the start, Washington opened 0-5, leading to Jay Gruden’s firing. Rookie QB Dwayne Haskins took longer to acclimate to the NFL than hoped, but he did show flashes before a Week 16 injury ended his season. Key additions: DE Chase Young, DB Kendall Fuller, CB Ronald Darby, LB Thomas Davis, G Wes Schweitzer, OT Cornelius Lucas, S Sean Davis, QB Kyle Allen, RB/WR Antonio Gibson, OT Saahdiq Charles, WR Antonio Gandy Golden Noteworthy losses: LT Trent Williams, TE Jordan Reed, CB Quinton Dunbar, CB Josh Norman, LT Donald Penn, TE Vernon Davis, G Ereck Flowers, WR Paul Richardson, RB Chris Thompson, QB Case Keenum Cause for concern: Haskins made progress as a rookie, but he didn’t get much help, and that doesn’t seem to be changing. There’s no remotely appealing option at left tackle, and Washington didn’t add much of note at either wideout or tight end, apparently counting on development from Kelvin Harmon and Steven Sims behind Terry McLaurin. Gibson could be a slot/gadget weapon, but the team plans to start him at running back. Position battle worth watching: With Williams traded and Penn unsigned, the left tackle job is wide open. The veteran Lucas, 2018 third-rounder Geron Christian and rookie fourth-rounder Charles — a talented but inconsistent prospect who slipped in the draft due to character concerns — are the primary competitors, but signing another veteran might be wise. Over-Under win total from PointsBet: 5.5 New head coach Ron Rivera brings a strong track record from Carolina, but he’s got his work cut out for him as Washington tries to fix issues both on and off the field. There’s certainly a path to seven or eight wins, but another three-win season seems just as likely. We’d pass on this one. 2020 forecast: Young’s arrival could ignite the defense, which is loaded with talent up front and also has an intriguing set of playmakers in the secondary. But can that unit compensate if the offense is dead weight? Haskins flashes high-level processing and arm talent, but unless his slimmer self proves more mobile, he needs protection and weapons to produce. Washington doesn’t have much of either at the moment. –Field Level Media The post Training camp primer: NFC East appeared first on National Football Post.

Jeffery Epstein And The Law Of Filthy Rich
By Katarina Vattes, Binghamton University Class of 2022
July 15, 2020
Tumblr media
In the midst of quarantine, a majority of the population has been spending their time sitting on their couches or in bed binge-watching Netflix series, movies, and other streaming sites. I found myself starting with movies and then I went through a phase of watching documentaries. I began with the OJ Simpson trials and I later got into the sick, disgusting, yet extremely interesting Jeffery Epstein Trials.
Jeffery Epstein was a sick and delusional man who took advantage of young women throughout the course of his life. His money and his power is what brought him to have the power he did over the girls he came in contact with.
The documentary began with explaining the background regarding what tasks and other disgusting things Epstein asked of the girls who came into his home. Epstein invited in these girls, offering them a sum of two hundred dollars in exchange for a massage. If the young girls that he invited into his home were reluctant or refused to perform this task, Epstein would offer these girls the same prize: two hundred dollars in exchange for other young women to come and give him a massage.
At first, I wondered why these girls would perform the task of massaging Epstein. Because Epstein was so powerful and was an older man in these situations, the girls who were asked to perform this task felt scared and that they had to abide by his orders. The girls were frightened for their lives, as they did not know or understand Epstein’s intentions. They were scared that he held a gun and would kill them if they did not listen to him. They were vulnerable.
In situations as such, the individuals who sexually abuse younger girls, often pick their targets very strategically. They search for girls who are particularly vulnerable, having an extremely difficult home life, financial issues, and personal self-confidence issues. By targeting this population of girls, Epstein was able to be more successful in his actions. Epstein was a narcissist who abused his power and his deluded views of himself to his advantage, sexually abusing dozens of minors.
Although Epstein was very successful in his actions in both recruiting girls to come to his own, in addition to sexual abuse, he did not do this alone. Ex-Girlfriend of Epstein, Ghislanie Maxwell, helped to bring in these girls to his home and helped Epstein to convince them to even come to his private island in the British Virgin Islands. She was convicted nearly a week ago, being arrested in the United States, found in New Hampshire (BBC News). Maxwell had repeatedly denied her involvement with Epstein’s abuse of minors, although there are many victim accounts of her recruitment of them.
“Maxwell played a critical role in helping Epstein to identify, befriend, and groom minor victims for abuse,” said Audrey Strauss, acting United States attorney for the southern district of New York (BCC News). Maxwell’s charges are traced back from the years of 1994 through 1997, associated with helping Epstein to engage in intimate relationships with minors.
Ghislanie Maxwell is charged with the following four charges: (1) “conspiracy to entice minors to travel to engage in illegal sex acts, (2) enticing a minor to travel to engage In illegal sex acts, (3) conspiracy to transport minors with intent to engage in criminal sexual activity, and (4) transporting a minor with intent to engage in criminal sexual activity,” (BBC News).
“Maxwell and Epstein worked together to entice these minor victims to travel to Epstein’s residences – his residence in New York City on the Upper East Side, as well as Palm Beach, Florida, and Santa Fe, New Mexico… some of the acts of abuse also took place in Maxwell’s residence in London, England,” (BBC News).
In addition to Maxwell denying any type of involvement with Jeffery Epstein and his trafficking of these young girls to his residences, there are also other examples of powerful figures who deny having any kind of involvement with Epstein indefinitely. Following the second round of serious allegations regarding Epstein’s actions, current President Donald Trump and former President Bill Clinton denied being in Epstein’s close circle of friends (Wang). On the contrary to these statements, there are even quotes coming from Donald trump in New York Magazine in 2002 quoting him saying that, “Mr. Epstein was a terrific guy whom he had known for 15 years,” (Wang).
The issues described in this article are not ones of the Republican or the Democratic parties. These issues are ones of ruling class. We need to do a better job as a country pinpointing the individuals who are not doing their part to make the world a better place.

Full Masters Draws  |  Finals Day Photos
The Women’s Events
W70s.  Ann Manley (AVN) has won World and British Opens but only one National.  Her opponent in the final was Rebecca Czuczman (KNT) who has seven Nationals, but it was Manley who took the match in five.
W60s.  Yorkshire’s Julie Field is a four-time World Champion as well as having seven National titles.  In a group with many champions she is probably on top.  Wales No 1 and former National Champion Sian Johnson is renowned for her skilful play.  The Wales star produced a beautiful game of high deep squash and kept Field at bay.
W55s.  Mandy Akin (KNT) is a seven-time champion and was favourite in the match against Hilary Kenyon.  But it was a real battle with some great rallies.  Kenyon edged the third 12/10 to go 2/1 up but Akin’s renowned athleticism got her through the next two for a five-game victory.
W50s.  There are not many 3/0 matches like this final.  Two very accomplished players although Andrea Sanatamaria (YKS) is the one with higher profile, Nicky Fowler (CHS) is very good indeed, and a three-time champion.  The scores say it all.  12/10, 13/11, 1513.  A great contest and Andrea’s fourth National.
W45s.  A battle of the Rachels!  Defending Champion Rachel Woodward (NOT) was slight favourite but Rachel Calver (LEC) had other ideas and took the first two.  She has one National title and been close a few times.  Woodward struck back and took the next 11/9.  It was Calver who broke through in the fifth and hung on to take her second National.
W40s.  Lauren Briggs (ESX) has every major title in the Masters game and there was no stopping her here.  Kate Bradshaw (CBE) is a fine player but had no way of upsetting the former World top 20 player.  3/0 to Briggs.  Her sixth National title in six outings.
W35s.  This evnet also had an exceptional player in the form of Sarah Campion (CHS) formerly Kippax.  A top player on the tour she was a class apart.  In the final the talented Sarah-Jane Neller (ESX) gave her all and played some fine squash but there was only going to be one winner and Campion stormed through 3/0 to take the title.
The Men’s Events
M75s.  After his shock defeat of four-time World Champion Adrian Wright (YKS) yesterday Ken Johnson (NLD) was ready for British Open Champion Mike Clemson (YKS).  In a match that swung from one to the other, Johnson’s strong hitting overcame Clemson’s mobility.  3/2.  A first National title for Johnson.
M70s.  Ian Graham (SSX) and Larry Grover (HPH) both removed a top seed yesterday.  In an excellent contest it moved back and forth.  Grover went 2/1 up but Graham, slightly quicker, began to make inroads and took the next two to win 3/2 and get his second National title.
M65s.  The top two seeds and the top two in the world in this age group deservedly met in the final.  Mark Cowley (MDX) took the first but Steve Johnson (LNH) hit back to take the second 12/10.  There was a lot for the referee to do in this match as the players tried to dominate the court, with both players on the floor several times.  There was also some sublime squash but it was Johnson who found his way through 12/10 in the fourth.
M60s.  The two 3/4 seeds met in the final and in a match with some great squash, fine movement and good sportsmanship.  Allen Barwise (LNH) the 2017 Champion took the first 14/12 but Neil Harrison (DCL) struck back and managed to just keep ahead.  There was only the odd points in it, but Harrison took the Championship to remedy losses when in the Over 45s!
M55s.  After his heroics finally beating his nemesis Eamonn Price yesterday, Alex Betts (MDX) had it all to do again against top seed Jon Foster (HPH) who had moved through the tournament untroubled.  Betts produced some great squash in his usual all-action style but Foster was always in charge.  3/0 and a first National title for him.
M50s.  Durham & Cleveland produced three of the four semi finalists and both finalists.  Yawar Abass and Andy Cross have played each other a fair amount and Abass is ahead on their head to heads.  So, it proved here with Abass able to move Cross around the court and play into the gaps. A great result for Cross to get to the final in a very competitive group.  A sixth National title for Abass.
M45s.  2019 Champion Paul Boyle (BUX) played very well again to get to the final but Nick Wall (YKS) was a different proposition and he had the class to always be ahead and make Boyle try and catch up.  A terrific game of squash, though as Wall clinched the second and third games 11/9 for the title.
M40s.  Scotland star Stuart Ayton had notched up some great wins to reach the final including the longest match of the week, well over and hour.  He met former Circuit pro Darren Lewis (LEC) in the final who took a vital first game 16/14.  Ayton took the third but couldn’t do more as Lewis ran out in four competitive games for a title to go with his 35s one in 2015.
M35s.  What a match!  The best two players produced an absolute cracker of a contest that showed Squash at its very best.  Fantastic hitting, incredible movement and great sportsmanship. It was a pleasure to watch two such great athletes.  Army Champion Sam Miller (WKS) took the first but Wimbledon pro Phil Rushworth (SRY) struck back to level.  He got to 10/7 in the third but Miller moved into overdrive to clinch it 12/10 saving four game points.  The fourth continued point for point with both players hurtling round the court to cover the most deft drops and powerful drives.  Miller took it 11/9.  A truly great match.
The presentations were made by Keir Worth, CEO of England Squash and Mark Jeffery a Board Member of England Squash.  Thanks were given to the Nationals sponsors AJ Bell, Nottingham Squash Club for being terrific hosts, especially Manager Nick Hargreaves and his bar and catering staff.  Also to the Referees, the assistance of all tournament staff, Brian Brock the Events Manager in particular, and Roz Featherstone who helped on the tournament desk all week.
