Why I Can’t Play A Dark-Side Jedi In SWTOR
Let me start off by saying I totally respect the right of any player to play their SWTOR character however they like.
You want to declare Skadge your favorite companion? Knock yourself out. You want to kill [X] ? That is your choice.
Having said all that… there’s a reason I can’t play a Dark-Sided Jedi. Either Knight or Consular.
I can play a dark-sided Smuggler. I can play a … mostly neutral-ish Trooper. I can play a light-Sith Warriors, Sith Inquisitors, Imperial Agents and Bounty Hunters… and I’ve enjoyed most of all that.
But I simply can’t do that kind of ‘switch’ with the Jedi OCs.
“Is it because you’re a Jedi Apologist Fanboy, SWTORpadawan???”
… No. 😠
Its because of their companions, and what their companions need from them.
Tumblr media
Felix Iresso is dealing with legitimate psychological and professional trauma. His brief time as an Imperial prisoner and his memory loss have ruined his career. Is it technically possible to be kind and appreciative of him as a dark side Consular? Yes. Is it realistic? Probably not. A DS JC should be drooling to make use of the Holocron in Felix’s head.
Felix deserves better than that.
Kira Carsen has had a rough life. She was a child on Korriban, and that was rough. The Sith Emperor extended his consciousness into her mind, and that was rough. She fled the planet – something only two acolytes on record have accomplished – and that was rough. Then she spent her teenage years growing up on Nar Shaddaa, where she was constantly surrounded by criminals. That was really rough.
Bela Kiwiiks has been good for her. Kira says as much and shows it in her actions as well. But Kiwiiks is also fairly orthodox, and someone like Kira can find that suffocating. Nevertheless, for most of the game, her moral code is pretty damn close to ideal.
Kira will pick up pretty quick on a dark-side Jedi Knight. She’s not afraid to call them out, even if the DS JK isn’t inherently unkind to her.
She doesn’t deserve to deal with a dark-side Knight who will compromise her own ethics.
At the time Nadia Grell becomes an actual companion, she is reeling from the death of her father.
That state of mind – in a Padawan – requires an abundance of compassion and patience.
Most Dark-Siders are not known for those qualities.
Nadia needs better.
T7-O1 is best boy. He is the most precious little paragon in the game. Don’t rain on him.
🥺
That’s why I can’t quite bring myself to play a Dark-Side Jedi in SWTOR.

SWTOR Commander Ask game, tagged by @starknstarwars tagging @jeswii (who I think also has a Trooper Commander!)
1) Who’s your Alliance Commander? What class are they? Alignment? Random other facts you wanna share?
My Republic Trooper, Lo'nash, is my Commander. She's a Commando (heal spec) / PowerTech (tank spec).
2) What’s a reason or two you like that this character is your Commander?
Everybody who joins the Alliance does so because of their own convictions, not because you're a Jedi/Sith; or a Mandolorian; or you're an agent with blackmail on half the Empire. The Trooper as an individual has long been replaced in the military. Sure people might remember the heroics of Havoc Squad but given five years of war, that number is probably fairly small.
"Rebellions are built on Hope"; that quote is something to me that is such a core part of star wars, and one that a Trooper outlander really embodies.
I also think you'd want a military leader to lead a military alliance; there's very much a cultural understanding that would, I think at least, help break down some of those factional allegiances and help for a united alliance.
3) What’s a reason or two you don’t like about them being Commander?
You don't really get any options to say that you want nothing to do with some of the more esoteric Force Nonsense. Given Valkorion is in your head, you can't really deny that The Force is real, but, knowing The Force is real doesn't automatically mean you'd have to take everything to do with it at face value. Same thing goes for the Mandalorians. They're nominally in the Alliance but why are their internal political struggles your problem? In both cases, a 'outsider' shouldn't be the first – and seemingly only? - choice for solving every problem in the galaxy.
The other dislike I have is that at no point does anybody from either faction ask you to justify some particular class story event. That's not Trooper specific, because every class (sans maybe Smuggler) has committed a long list of war crimes by this point, but especially with Trooper, there's a good chance you've shot at / been shot at by a non-zero number of people who later join you. One of two brief convos as to "sorry I tried to murder you" or "why did you do x" would have helped add a lot of depth.
4) Why did this character of all your OCs become Commander?
I knew I didn't want an Imperial outlander, I don't have a canon knight, it didn't make sense for my Consular, and my smuggler had defected to the Empire by this point so, Trooper was the only one that fit my single criteria.
From there a bunch of ideas snapped into place in a meaningful way; including my rewrite of Valkorian to be much more ~around~ and actively a corrupting influence rather than only ever there as a plot device.
5) Who did they side with? Did they stay loyal or go saboteur? Or maybe you headcanon they defect properly?
On Iokath she sides with Acina because giving Jace Malcom custody of a Superweapon is functionally a guarantee that the Superweapon gets used. [game play wise because doing so means you get to kill Garza on Nathama]
There's the larger issue with the Iokath arc that the Republic just… abdicates all responsibility to the Outlander and at no point addresses why. Then they show up again after Nathama with no acknowledgement that they've spent ~3 years not providing any support and ask you to bail them out. The audacity of the Republic to act like nothing happened is so wild to me that I've never been able to head canon a "why" that felt even plausible.
Which is all to say that Trooper is a reluctant Saboteur. Before Ossus got stealth rewritten you got several flexible saboteur options where you could help both sides; and that's much closer to where she's at then truly wanting to defect to the Empire. She doesn't want to actively harm the Republic, but, by this point in the story the Republic probably would be more apt to put her on trial then welcome her back. Even if she was granted a ~hand wavey~ full pardon, the Republic would never be truly safe for her.
If we get the option to faction swap – which given the flexible combat styles I bet we will at some point – she'll officially join the Empire. Not out of any hate for the Republic, or love of the Empire, but simply in acknowledgement that she's not going to continue to support people who have repeatedly turned their back on her.
6) Are there any NPC’s from the class stories you’d like to see/HC join the Alliance? Ex: Master Timmns, Ardun Kothe, Watcher One, etc.
Jaxo. Darmus. Praven. If you side with the Empire Shara and others from Imperial Intelligence should join (and Jonas / SiS agents pub side).
7) How’s your OC feeling about the current Malgus situation?
#TiredSmokingMeme
8) Are any of your other OC’s part of the Alliance? If yes what do they do for the Alliance? Do they get along with your Commander?
I'm working on a unified canon, but since that's still a WIP, here's what I have reasonably nailed down:
My twin agents join early on, and my Inquisitor is a liaison between the Empire and The Alliance.
I'm redoing a more positive timeline that would include my warrior joining after the seige of Voss, my himbo BH there from the start with his husband Theron, and consular as a liaison between the Republic and the Alliance. I don't have a canon knight or smuggler.
9) How does your OC feel about Odessen? (Bonus: how do you feel about it)
It's more home than she's ever had before. Which makes it a complicated place.
10) How does your Commander feel about being the Commander?
Tired. Angry at the Republic. A sense of "why ask me" for much of the post KOTET content. But also, responsibility, honor, and commitment to the people under her command.
It was almost inevitable that she end up as a bi-factional leader of some sort; she sees her role in the military as preventing civilian suffering regardless of faction. That idealism doesn't tarnish despite her feelings in the Republic.
11) Favorite place in the Alliance base?
The hanger late at night / early in the morning when it's empty except for cleaning droids.
12) Favorite mission in KotFE?
The Jorgan reunion mission.
13) Favorite mission in KotET?
The one on Iokath where you get in the giant robot and fight waves of droids.
14) Least favorite mission in either? Why?
The one where you go to Nathama and have to go through the decrepit lab where Vaylin was tortured. I don't like creepy horror vibes.
15) Is your Commander successful because they’re skilled? Or are they perhaps just really lucky?
Both. A lot of the KOTXX chapters involve an improbable amount of luck. There's no skill involved in finding the Gravestone and without that there's no story.
16) From our OC’s point of view, SoR -> KotET wasn’t a fun experience, did they develop any fears as a result?
Fears, no. Maladaptive coping, yes.
What is there to be afraid of at this point? She's already lost everything by chapter 3. The time skip and "everyone you knew is probably dead because it's been five years of hell" means she had to deal with every previous fear right at the start. Starting the Alliance was a marker of her having been capable of dealing with all those fears – of losing Jorgan, of the Republic failing, of not being good enough – and after that, there's nothing left to be afraid of.
Not to frame it as "she's fine", because she's not, but that comes from a very different place and emotional state then fear.
17) AU time! If your Commander wasn’t Commander, which of your other OCs would have likely taken their place?
Warrior. My warrior is a Sith Pureblood frat boy who goes through a whole "wait, that's not /my/ experience with the Empire" arc and ends up taking up a Malgus-esq role of arguing for social reform from a position of power within the Empire. He defects to the Republic and actively works to provide opportunities for other Imperials who wish to defect to do so.
18) Who’s someone your Commander hopes they never have to deal with again?
They're all dead. Garza. Malcom. Saresh. Revan.
19) Does your Commander hold on to/still use any titles they earned before KotET?
20) Share something, anything at all, you want about your Commander that you’ve not really gotten the chance to share before but really want to.
After Nathama a lot of Imperials take up calling her "General" as a joke about succession in the Imperial military. That ends up replacing her former military title even among Republic soldiers (Aygo files paperwork to have it made official but given her non-standing that goes nowhere) so, sort of? "Sir" as the honorific definitely sticks around.
It doesn't come up very often but she doesn't have facial tattoos as a sort of "fuck you" to a culture she wants nothing to do with. She does have a tattoo of the head of a Krayt dragon on her shoulder with tight coils of individual scales that just about covers her whole arm representing a kill count of sorts. It stopped being accurate a long time ago, and her thoughts of it have changed drastically over the years.

7 & 8 for the swtor asks? :)
Saving this for after work was the correct choice (and also I overslept, oops >.>) bc bOY WERE WE BUSY. So thank you, this kept me a bit more sane, lol.
ask list here!
7. Which player voice actor is your favorite and your least favorite?
To probably no one who has seen an ounce of my content ever, I'd listen (and... have... by playing) to the Male Agent for hours. I think I'm up to 3 male agent ocs and the urge to make more? Constant. Inescapable. More than likely inevitable, tbh. I'm a glutton for the punishment of Imperial Agent story, apparently. Just leave me where I lie, there is no saving to be done.
Female Smuggler gets an honorable mention as well because I adore her. I adore the humor of smuggler. I adore the sass, the take no shit.
THEY HAVE THE RANGE!
Anyway, my least favorite is... probably either of the Jedi Knights, I think. Side by side, they don't feel as distinguishable from one another as some of the other classes. The job is done; I've played both at least through the class story and I wouldn't mind doing it again just looking at voice acting, but I feel like other classes have a bit more pop and variety. Or maybe I've just played my Knights too predictably akdfnlksdnflsdf.
8. Name your top favorite companions.
Oh man. Oh boy. How do I pick??? Y'know what, maybe I'll choose violence. Maybe I'll pick my favorite from every class. I've played them all. I could do that. (It's just as daunting to consider as it may be to read.)
Preface: I think my faves are largely story-based in my reasoning - I like their story, I like how they're engaged in the story, etc. Very rarely do I swap companions because of a felt need in gameplay given everyone's capability to do anything, but I have done so for story reasons.
Okay, I decided I'm insane enough to try to pick one from each, so since that's quite a list, find that beneath the cut:
We'll start with Agent, my beloved, and Vector. The Friend The Agent Needs. No more need be said. I want to hug them. I hope he's having a good day. One day, I'll do his romance, too. Dot stop playing male agents challenge. (I'm such a creature of habit.)
Bounty Hunter's a tough call because I found myself fond of practically the whole damn crew. Real found family vibe. Idk if I love one of them so much over the other as much as I just appreciate the crew's dynamic overall so, so much. The level of interaction and mingling with the crew just felt so much higher or hit so much harder than a lot of the others that I'd rank BH as a class story relatively high on my list solely for companion interactions.
For Sith Warrior, again, to little surprise if you've heard me open my mouth, Malavai Quinn. Ironically and slightly unironically my "he did nothing wrong" bastard. I'm, unfortunately, so incredibly attracted to this smart idiot of a man. The repression of feelings to explosion of passion and dedication in his romance is chef's kiss kind of shit. They're lying if they're trying to convince me that this man isn't a disaster bisexual. He's just. So insanely pretty. I'll forgive him even if I ever make a character that won't.
I think Talos is probably my favorite Inquisitor companion. Whoever said we were robbed because we don't have an Inquisitor x Talos romance in-game? You're so right. Dude has a cool name. Love this history nerd. He's so incredible. I am so pleased he was still being bright and bubbly on Elom. Miss him.
Trooper is hands down Elara. Constantly tip-tapping like a very excited, happy dog when I see I can talk to best girl. I love her story. Her romance is incredibly sweet. She's the single thing that got me through a 2nd Trooper playthrough.
Smuggler's another no competition in favor of Bowdarr. I want to give this Wookie so. many. hugs.
Kira Carsen for Jedi Knight. Again, no competition. The friendship is so, so sweet.
And Jedi Consular is a tough one to round out on. I have a lot of love for basically the whole crew, but I think I'll have to go with Qyzen for being bestie original MVP. I'm so glad we get to build a friendship with him because I don't think we get to see Trandoshans in quite this same light anywhere else in the game.
And also Theron Shan. I can't do this list without him. Sir, I'd die for you. Sometimes you're an idiot and I love you. Insert, after all, why shouldn't I romance Theron again meme here.
Honorable mention to Major Anri. I'm love her. If I have to fuck with her directly in saboteuring of the Empire, I'm going to feel SO many emotions. Keep me in your thoughts kan;fladnkfl;dsf.

Theron and Lana Fake Engagement
So I made a joking post a while back that Lana and Theron would 100% get fake engaged just to piss off Theron’s parents, (which I still stand by) I imagine it going something like this:
- There’s a party held on a neutral planet for peace talks and everyone notable from The Alliance, The Empire, and The Republic are there. Nox is being a little shit but what else is new, Imperius is being the sweetest Sith Lord alive and is just trying to talk about artifacts. So overall the party is going better than anyone expected.
- Theron’s drinking with Lana when they spot Malcom. They see Malcom visibly uncomfortable with the relationships between Empire and Republic civilians and they get a horrible idea.
Theron: “Malcolm! wonderful party isn’t it?”
Malcolm: “Theron! Well this is certainly a surprise, and Lana is it? The one who got Theron tortured?”
Theron: “Dad I would appreciate if you would refrain from antagonizing my girlfriend too much.”
- With the silence that followed you could hear a pin drop. All eyes were on them in a mix of curiosity and disbelief, well all eyes except for the two cypher agents who one seemed to be giving the other credits for a bet. With a soft “I told you so...” (Nothing could probably phase them anymore.)
- Theron of course can absolutely not, not take the chance to be more extra so he gets down on one knee. Lana knows what he’s doing one second before the rest of the room does and almost bursts out laughing at the sheer ridiculousness of it all. However, the estranged son of the Grandmaster of the Jedi order doesn’t fake propose to you every day so when in Rome and all that.
Theron: “What do you say Beniko? It’s been 7 kriffing years wanna make this official?”
Lana: “Theron I-”
Theron: “I mean you don’t HAVE to if you don’t want to. I mean it’s really not a mandatory thing-”
Lana: “Will you shut up and let me accept your idiotic proposal Shan?”
- The two hugged and Lana whispered in his ear, “The ring is positively atrocious.” And that was the Lana he knew and loved. A little later they managed some time alone considering that they were “newly engaged”
Lana: “Out of curiosity do you carry a fake engagement ring with you everywhere?”
Theron: “Hey! I’ll have you know that I carry a REAL engagement ring everywhere for FAKE proposals.”
P.S: You know I didn’t expect this to be this long I’m so sorry! And on the off chance that anyone wants to make a fanfic go for it. (Yes I ship Theron and Lana if they aren’t paired with the outlander, but their friendship is just as cute so read it how you want, the world is your metaphorical oyster)

V’ehsz Legacy Starships
I...realize I literally never refer to the ships by their models when I’m writing, so. Here’s a key!
Tumblr media
Star Hopper
Jen (my Voidhound) inherited his XS Freighter from his late parents. It’s been his home for as long as he can remember and he keeps it in tip-top shape. He knows every square inch, every scratch, every chip of paint, like the back of his hand.
She’s old and temperamental, but he wouldn’t want her any other way. Piloting her is a learning curve - she’s extremely touchy.
Tumblr media
Rust Bucket
Terrin’s (Grand Champion) D5-Mantis was lovingly named the Rust Bucket. She calls it a hunk of junk but she adores it and thought stealing it was a total blast.
She’s not good with ships, so leaves it to her crew and engineers she’ll hire on occasion to keep Rusty running right, and when they get into space battles Terrin typically runs weapons instead of piloting.
Tumblr media
Stormcloud
Varrich’s (Meteor) BT-7 Thunderclap. It gets careful attention at spaceports to make sure everything’s running smoothly so Havoc can properly do its job.
It doesn’t get the same sort of love that Jen and Terrin’s ships do, as Stormcloud is a tool that just happens to have sleeping quarters rather than a home, but Varrich still ensures it gets properly tended to on the regular.
Tumblr media
Serenity
Synnda’s (Barsen’thor) Defender-class Corvette. (which I totally didn’t name that because he’s a Serenity Shadow and it seemed like a good ship name. nope. not at all). She has extra space in the crew quarters compared to Leo’s Defender, while HK-51 stands guard with Qyzen when there are diplomats aboard so Synnda can focus on them.
She’s kept tidy and looking brand new as much as possible due to Synnda meeting with senators and such so often. Don’t let it fool you: While Synnda prefers to end things peacefully, Serenity’s well-fitted for battle and can take & deal quite a hit.
Striker
Leo’s (Hero of Tython) Defender usually tends to be in a bit rougher shape than Synnda’s since she’s the one thrown headfirst into battle. Also, while she does want it running well, she’s not as concerned with how it looks since she’s not dealing with diplomats as often as Synnda does - she’s mostly dealing with military.
Striker’s paint is scratched and chipped, there’s blaster burns scored into her hide, and when the two Defenders are docked together it’s pretty obvious which one belongs to the Jedi Battlemaster.
Tumblr media
The Executor
Azan’s (Lord Wrath) Fury wasn’t named by her and she likes to make that clear. She thinks it’s a little too on-the-nose for her position of Wrath (though ironically, it was named long before she had the title) and frankly finds it ridiculous.
She still cares for the ship, though, and when not at her apartment on Dromund Kaas, then she can almost certainly be found near The Executor. It’s her second home and the care put into it shows that.
Ruin
Qizulth’s (Darth Nox) Fury was named for his love of exploring ancient temples. It’s his most prized possession and offered to him his first real taste of freedom, so he takes exceptional care of it. Fresh out of battle is about the only time anyone will find a scratch on it - he always wants it looking fresh off the assembly line.
He has no experience with piloting, however, nor the patience to learn much more than the basics, so Andronikos and Ashara are the ones he leaves that part to.
Tumblr media
Wraith
Xaerez’s (Cipher Nine) X-70B Phantom. Looking like a top-of-the-line luxury ship, it tends to get exceptional care at spaceports. Xaerez does very thorough background checks of any engineers he hires for repairs, and does a thorough sweep once they’re done for bugs.
Wraith may look like she’s solely for luxury, but her low stealth capabilities, high-end shield, and hidden guns make her a force to be reckoned with and Xaerez has gone through detailed training to run her to highest efficiency.
Tumblr media
Huntress
Max & Veir (bounty hunters) are part of Clan Tro. Couldn’t find any better images, but the Huntress is similar to a Shaadlar-type troopship, which was used by the Mandalorian Neo-Crusaders. Clan Tro’s is heavily modified and doesn’t have the legs. She’s gone down generations within the clan, passed from one leader to another, getting modified all the while.
She’s not very stealthy, but can take quite a beating. She’s the clan’s home and is well cared for.

Tell me the swtor ships
lowkey otp: Jedi Consular x Zenith, I love the interactions between Zenith and my gray Jedi.
highkey notp: Arcann x Thexan... I've seen it and it's just as bad as it sounds.
[softly] don’t notp: Bounty Hunter x Mako, idk I just can't get past her being like a kid sister to all of my hunters and she's just so young. Although she IS cute with Torian.
highkey otp but i’m scared of saying it because it’s not a very popular choice: Imperial Agent x Ardun Kothe. I kinda love them, especially once the SIS crap is over.
highkey otp and anyone on my tumblr knows it: Jedi Knight x Doc or Sith Warrior x Vette, definitely.

SWTOR Asks Revisited
Someone liked an old post of mine with some SWTOR asks. As we approach the end of my SWTOR journey, unless 7.1 or whatnot fixes everything the devs are doing wrong, I thought it would be fun to revisit it.
1. How many characters do you have?
Technically 34 across four servers, but most of them are clones and some are characters I really don't play much. I've played at least one toon for each advanced class. My characters on the European servers are there so I can visit with friends if need be and I usually don't play them.
Sith Warriors: 10 (Viri and all her clones)
Sith Inquisitors: 5 (two x Suvia and three other OCs)
Bounty Hunters: 4 (two x Taran and two other OCs)
Smugglers: 4 (one each of Marlena and Amedria on each NA server)
Troopers: 2 (clones of the same character)
Jedi Consulars: 3 (all clones of the same character)
Jedi Knights: 3 (all different)
Imperial Agents: 3 (Brynn x 2 and another OC)
2. What is your favorite class and why? And/or list the player classes in order of most -> least favorite
Favorite is Sith Warrior. It was the class I started with, it's still my favorite, and I really love playing my Juggernauts more than any other combat styles.
Favorite to least favorite:
Sith Warrior
Sith Inquisitor
Bounty Hunter
Smuggler
Jedi Consular
Trooper
Imperial Agent
Jedi Knight
3. Do you prefer to tank, DPS, or heal?
DPS. I don't like group content too much so I have no interest in playing the other two.
4. What is your favorite player combat ability?
Shatter. It is a leap-and-stab for the Vengeance Juggernaut, and there's even a sinister little laugh with it. Also Vengeful Slam, also for the Vengeance Juggernaut. No better way to put an exclamation mark on a fight.
5. Favorite advanced class and discipline?
Vengeance Juggernaut!
6. Do you primarily play Republic, Empire, or a mix of both sides? Is there a specific reason for this preference?
I greatly prefer to play Empire. Besides all the reasons I've already mentioned, I just think the Imperial stories are far and away better written overall, with the exception of the Smuggler. I do like the Consular's first chapter, but it is so painfully obvious the Jedi Council and Republic intend to literally work the poor Consular to death that I can't feel okay about it. Imperial-side I find the Agent story really triggering. Out of my three agent characters, only one finished the class story. The other two leveled to 75, got to the end of Chapter One, dealt with Jadus and then skipped ahead to SoR.
7. Which player voice actor is your favorite and your least favorite?
Natasha Little (female Sith Warrior) is my favorite. I think her voice performance really adds to the character. I don't particularly dislike any of the player voice actors. I think they all did an awesome job.
8. Name your top favorite companions (feel free to include reasons why).
Top ten, in order: Lana, Vette, Talos, Blizz, T7-O1, HK-55, Veeroa Denz, Darth Hexid, Felix Iresso, Nadia Grell.
10. Favorite love interest?
Lana!!!! I'm wlw and almost all my characters romance her. I"ll admit in some cases this is because there aren't any other wlw characters they can romance, but I think she's amazing with Viri.
11. Which expansions did you like the most, and which ones did you dislike?
I really liked KOTFE and SoR most. I have major issues with some of the story choices in KOTET and wish we'd seen the full version, not the truncated one, but I like most of the chapters. Makeb I like for the aesthetics - the waterfalls, the beautiful houses, and so forth - although the story is really grim and the gameplay can be really repetitive and boring since you're just doing the same things over and over again in many quests, and there are so many mobs. I didn't care for Onslaught at all. I don't like Ilum much because those two flashpoints are so LONG, although I love the night sky over Ilum. I also get mad with Oricon because it would be an intriguing story if they had not locked the ending behind two Ops. I am still salty about that.
12. Do you have a preferred mount/speeder? Is there one you want, but don’t own yet?
All of my toons have special mounts that seem to work well with them specifically, but for Viri I especially love her Aquatic Sleen, Guirion Royale and Roche Gangster. I more or less have every mount I want in the game. The one I probably wanted most was the sleen for Viri, and that dropped at random on Rakata Prime story mode.
13. Which planet’s aesthetic/atmosphere do you enjoy the most?
I love Belsavis. That might make people say WTF because of the prisons, but I'm not talking about the prisons, which are an atrocity. I'm talking about the rest of the planet- the lava next to the snow, the natural green areas, the Rakata ruins everywhere, the fact that you can use the Rakata transporters to get around.
I also am really found of Yavin 4, Odessen (the little we see of it) and Tatooine. Tatooine is just so perfectly done IMHO - the music, the way you can almost feel the heat in the cities, the long stretches of sand dunes, the random buildings you can just walk into to look around, everything.
14. Favorite planet story arc?
The planetary arc for Tatooine, which has some variations but is the same story in the end on both Imperial and Republic sides. It's just such a good mystery/horror story and I'm really glad it is available to both factions. Second, the Dread Masters storyline on Imperial Belsavis because it’s really designed well. You get deeper and deeper into the Rakata areas and it works.
15. Show us your main(s)!
Oh, Viri is alll over this Tumblr already. Just look at the icon.
16. Do you have a favorite Flashpoint or operation? A least favorite?
Copero (Traitor Among the Chiss) is my far away favorite. It's SO long, but the scenery is beyond anything in any of the other flashpoints, IMHO. Just wandering around the little alleys in the town, or the ruins on the mountain, I could spend hours doing that. I like how the flashpoint has some parts that are more strategy/puzzle based, but the puzzles aren't hard or frustrating. I also love how it goes from daytime to twilight during the flashpoint. I think Copero has the best decos and they drop very generously, too. They also finally stopped the NPCs from yelling FOR HOUSE IROKINI!! every two seconds so you don't have to mute it anymore as you play through.  Second favorite is Rakata Prime, and again it's largely for the scenery and environment. The beaches. Actual Rakatans. The Rakatan buildings. If you amble off the beaten track you can even find a garden. It's really cool.  Hands down least favorite is Spirit of Vengeance. My God, what a horrifying waste of coding. I hate that flashpoint so very much. It's long, it's got thick mobs and it's so completely and utterly boring and tedious. SoV is the only flashpoint where I won't even attempt to get the achievements and have skipped the bonus quests. I play that thing once when it's required as I'm taking a character through the story and then never go near it again.  Close second is Objective Meridian. It's not quite as much of a slog as SoV but it's so boring and I hate the mobs. It's nothing but one long, drab slog.
17. If you participate in warzones, which is your favorite map?
N/A. Never ever PvP like ever.
18. Which achievement(s) are you most proud of?
- Finishing the HK-51 quest chain, because it was a long slog to find all those components. - Getting the "kill 1000 NPCs" achievement on every single companion possible, including all the Star Fortress ones.  - Soloing all the Uprisings, even Trial and Error, which gave me a hard time.  - Soloing Dread Seeds all the way to completion several times on both factions.  - Soloing the entire Macrobinoculars questline up until the final mission (which can't be soloed). That speeder jumping puzzle is no joke and I got through it more than once.  - Soloing all the Veteran Star Fortresses.
19. Where can other players most commonly find you in game?
They probably can't. :) I stick to instanced areas and keep to myself as much as possible. A few of my strongholds (Dromund Kaas, Manaan, Coruscant on Star Forge; DK on Satele Shan) are open to the public under the name 'Viridana Dragoi' but I don't hang out in those.
20. What do you most often do while playing? (ex. PVP, FPs, quests, crafting, RP, etc.)
I am usually either working on story quests or the solo Conquest objectives, as well as some (mostly instanced) flashpoints. Or just wandering around, enjoying the solo content I like and working on achievements. I've spent a lot of time decorating my strongholds, too.
21. Which player ship is your favorite?
Overall the Imperial Agent has such an amazing ship. I"m actually surprised they didn't give it to the Sith characters because it's top of the line luxury. Second, the ship that the Sith Warrior and Sith Inquisitor have. It's nowhere near as swishy as the Agent's ship, but it's nice.
22. Of all the in-game events (Relics of the Gree, Rakghoul, Life Day, so on) which do you like the most, and which do you dislike?
I really love Gree because of the decor in the Grey Secant. It's so 1980s roller rink/disco and I love it and wish there were more of it in the game. I'm fond of the swoop races, too.
I've given up playing Bounty Contract Week because it is all open world and you constantly have other players grabbing the targets. I also hate Dantooine's pirate week for the same reason. And no, shared tagging will not make any of that better - I literally cannot follow what happens when there are too many players and companions onscreen, and if I wanted to group I would - I don't want it forced on me with shared tagging.
24. Do you have a primary/preferred stronghold?
Probably Nar Shaddaa, the apartment on Rishi and Tatooine. Most of my toons end up going back to Nar Shaddaa when I'm finished playing them for the day, unless I have a specific reason for them to be somewhere else.
26. Who is/are your favorite non-companion NPC(s)?
I really love Tora, Crysta Markon from the Bounty Hunter story, Somminick Timmns, Captain Golah from the Imperial Tatooine planetary arc and Lord Zavrasha from the Imperial Nar Shaddaa bonus series.
27. If you could make any current NPC a player companion, who would you pick?
I would love if Major Anri were a permanent companion. I think Viri would get a kick out of questing with Somminick Timmns.

33. How do they flirt? Who is the worse flirt?
(OC pairing of your choice!)
Tumblr media
Mostly flirts goes with little talk on mission, and compliments. Ain'res bring up some bed suggestions but is really light and when are alone. Ain'res is better in flirting but Theron have some really good fire back.
Tumblr media
Him and Zenith are both bad, like really bad, they don't know how to do it. They are so oblivious to flirt from others even. How the even end up together? Force only knows.

Which of your OCs are you most proud of? Do you have any OCs who have changed significantly from their first concept? 😊
thanks wiz! :D
[x]
oc I'm most proud of:
my canon jedi knight in swtor, kai! both in the sense that I'm proud of him as a character and his development as well as him as a person, so to speak. he goes through so much growth over the course of the game and I'd like to think I've made him into a good example of a jedi, too.
oc who's changed the most from the original concept:
one of my alt toons in swtor, andan! he was technically my first canon jedi consular; the initial idea was that he was the older brother of my canon sith warrior who defects from the empire and becomes a jedi. I ended up deleting his original version and putting him in oc limbo for a couple of years, but now he's an imperial agent who goes through a personal arc of unlearning things about the empire, coming to terms with his own values as a person, and raising a daughter as a (mostly - he eventually has a partner) single father.

SO! In the past, I did "Sith Warriors in the body of Jedi", so time to change it up (whilst I think of better asks). Your Jedi (either Knights or Consulars; Your choice) find themselves in the body of Sith on Dromund Kaas. What happens? :D
E x c e l l e n t. I'm doing knights bc I have More of them (fuck it, all of the jedi under the read more, i was almost gonna Not Do Consulars but then i realized how much fun it would be to have them all and then the post got Long) Here's the slides for all the Jedi tho.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Fckn, first off, Djyad would handle it POORLY. Maybe not as poorly as my other Jedi, but he would still feel like shit about it. Because he's a DARK jedi. He's steeped in the dark side, and actually got kicked off Tython by Satele personally. Because he's Awful. The only thing tying him to the Republic is Valy, because he loves her and won't ruin her life for his own, and defecting WOULD ruin her life. But things would make SENSE on Dromund Kaas for him, he wouldn't even really have to change his attitude to fit right in, and that's an issue when he's got so much love for Valy, his little tether to the Light. Although he could probably call up Revé'alle to get a 'Get Me Back Home Now' solution.
And speaking of, Revé'alle, she wouldn't do well. The Jedi code is everything to her, it's who she is and how she lives and acts because it's what she was taught was Correct Behavior. She's EXTREMELY low empathy, and generally devoid of emotions, so she is pulled towards doing the right thing because she's a Jedi and that's what Jedi DO. She's a VERY good Jedi, but she has no emotional or personal stake in it at all. Just a blueprint/script. She'd follow it. She'd continue being that perfect Jedi, and bank on the fact that Sith are too scary to question. Efforts to Return to her normal body would be concentrated and compartmentalized, and she'd spend a LOT of time in the library.
Iriz!! He's not the Knight for the continuity (Rev and Djyad share that between them), but Yeet. Iriz would actually, PROBABLY, be fine. Half his friends are Imperial, hell he and Liroh are the only ones on Blue Crew that are mostly Republic-aligned and they're both Shady Crime Kids, the other 3 people being Jeni, Mita, and Miakar. My BH, the local agent-adjacent kid, and the Wrath respectively. First thing he's doing is calling up Jeni, and then Miakar if he needs somebody with clearance to get shit for him. Iriz's friend group is Imperial. He's got NO trouble with dealing with this shit. And as a bonus, he's killed people for knowing too much before. He's a shady little shit, and if he thinks he can't get away with having done something in front of people, he'll mind trick or kill them just to keep his cover.
Kris'aeil on the other hand... not so much. She'd flip her shit. She's very like, Urgently A Jedi. And she doesn't handle Weird Force Gimmicky Shit very well. It's really not her deal. She's New so I don't actually have that much on her, but she'd Lose It for sure. Kris has got a lot of stake in her being HER, so winding up in a Sith body would be Nope Town.
Brek would also handle it... Badly. On one hand, he can pretend pretty well to be Sith, probably too well, but he's got a Very Strict (and slightly skewed) Moral Directive and there is no scenario in which he does not follow it. If he thinks someone is Too Dangerous To Live, he'll kill them. That might end poorly for him, and many of the people around him.
Jilah! She'd have... a Time. She's not keen on the Empire and she's even less so on the Sith, but she's kind of cranky in general and she might find that things make a little too much sense on Dromund Kaas. Not all of it. Not everything. But enough. She'd be calling up Liroh in an instant, getting help from him, because when in doubt: call the big brother. The big brother who's friends with the Sith and several Imperials. Get their help.
Yulua's a twat. I don't know much more about them. But she's a Twat and would probably take Way too much amusement from sowing Chaos.
Valeiena! Good bean Valy! She'd be hitting the library, trying to find a way to reverse it. Sith life isn't for her, and she's too sweet to put up the act of Being A Sith, so she'd sequester herself away into a library and holo up some Help. Likely by calling Djyad, and then Rev while Djyad Flips His Shit.
Kastr would have a Time. She doesn't need to change her attitude to fit in, she has a VERY dangerous air of 'i'm polite up until the point you piss me off', which is TRUE. She's really quite mean, and the way she works it WORKS for the Sith. She might go hunt down Kehsk to drag him into helping her fix it, bully him into helping her. Can't be that hard to find him, not a lot of Sith dress for winter in the Hot As Fuck jungle.
Kaeiryhn would either fit in So Horribly Well, or she would Fucking Die. Horrible nightmare Jedi would either find herself shielded behind the 'Sith get to kill Whoever and u do not Question Them' thing, and cause Huge Issues like that, or she would get halfway through a massacre before she got ganged up on and murdered because this fucker is hunting people openly in the streets, including other Sith, and you Can't Just Do That there is a Precedent.
