What is 'the magnus archives'?

It seems to be great if your so excited about it!

Oooh, I'll GLADLY answer this one!

The Magnus archives is a horror podcast, the whole telling of the story is done in a style that sounds like you are playing audio tapes, giving it the small hint of analogue horror that I love so much.

The story mainly follows the head archivist, Jonathan Sims, of the Magnus institute, which researches the paranormal via statements given by people who have gone through such experiences.

It mainly is Jonathan reorganizing the archives, due to the former head archivist having kept it poorly and disorganized, and he reads out the statements given by witnesses and looks a bit deeper into them with his team.

Now, this is perfectly amazing by itself but the whole story is not just reading out the statements but you ALSO get a look into what the world is like, occasionally gaining interruptions from people entering Jonathan's room and getting an idea of current events in their world and more.

No matter how often I think I have the bigger picture of the universe they partake in I'm thrown in for another loop and I'm LOVING it, I'm the kind of person who truly loves connecting the dots and collecting all little pieces of evidence and hints.

I definitely would recommend it to anybody who loves (analogue) horror, mystery and environmental sound design because their sound design team does an AMAZING job for building an atmosphere that doesn't lose tension within the 20 minutes of an episode.

I could keep rambling on forever, but I'm afraid that then I'd give spoilers and I don't want to ruin the podcast for anybody new who wants to join the fandom
