How the hell did that TMNT fanfic slip by my notice for all those years!? The teddy bear doll that Leo had in those Mini Shorts was given a name by the author: Mr. Snuggleworth! 😂🤣🤣😂
To quote Raphael in the story’s chapter: “I’ve Never Been Happier.”😂🤣🤣😂

Do you want a printed, bound copy of your fic? FTH has you covered.
Fanbinding is all the rage these days (@elizabethminkel has a great piece about it in Atlas Obscura that came out just last week) and more people than ever are offering their related services in FTH this year!
First, check out the 15 people offering their typesetting services in the main auction. They'll get your fic all pretty and laid out just how it needs to be to turn it from an AO3 posting into a book you can hold in your hands (or into an ebook for ease of reading on your device, if you aren’t looking to make a hard copy).
Most of these creators will typeset fic from any fandom, but there are also people specifically interested in typesetting your James Bond, Check Please!, Top Gun, Magnus Archives, Malevolent, Rusty Quill Gaming, Detective Conan (Case Closed)/Magic Kaito, Genshin Impact, or Haikyuu!!! fic.
Then, once you've got the layout squared away, head over to the Fan Crafts Bazaar, where we have six different crafters who are ready to bind that fic for you! They all have their own styles, so take a look around and decide whose binding would fit your fic the best.
(Note that if you are not getting your own fic typeset/bound, you should get permission from the author first.)

BEHOLD! The James Bond Molecule. 6/7 of the James Bondses (sorry David Niven) connected to each other in three movies or less, *without* using a James Bond movie.
A note on research: I blatantly looked up George Lazenby’s filmography, as I also did Timothy Dalton when I realized I wasn’t going to be able to use anyone from Hot Fuzz.
I was really hoping I could use the fact that I just happen to know off hand that Terry O’Quinn was the Launch Director in Space Camp, but alas. Maybe next time.
Finally, yes, I know Richard O’Brien was *also* in Rocky Horror Picture Show, but I needed him where he is for Timothy Dalton. Why complicate the layout with an unnecessary additional line.

Living Single (1993-1998) → Season 3, Episode 6: The James Bond
Khadijah: It does everything. It does layouts, e-mail. I can even send photos and faxes over the phone lines. Ivan: Wait-wait a minute, what do you need me for then?
Ivan: Might I add that this computer cannot provide you with love and support. Khadijah: It also won't stalk me. Ivan: Well then, I guess that's it. You mind if I just wander around, aimlessly, thinking about what might have been? Khadijah: Knock yourself out. Ivan: I'm thinking about that too.

frank & narcissa friendship hcs:
frank just decided they were friends one day. narcissa reluctantly went along with it after a while
gryffindor quidditch captain and slytherin quidditch captain.
both dating alice.
frank is obsessed with plant history, and the first time he met narcissa, he went on a rant about the history of the narcissus flower
narcissa plays piano and frank plays guitar, they play beatles songs together (its the only muggle band narcissa knows/listens to)
both had extremely competitive, obsessive protégés that idolised them and would come up to them all the time to talk about quidditch (james for frank, dorcas for narcissa)
bonded over their overbearing, controlling parents
The unofficial chess club leaders. they're the two best players in the school, and take ages trying to beat each other whenever they play (narcissa had slightly more wins than frank)
they're so botanical garden enthusiasts
frank was photographer for the school paper and narcissa was a layout/copy editor
would get into a lot of arguments about bellatrix (frank absolutely hated bellatrix, she followed and hexed him out of school after finding out he was friends with narcissa), narcissa would always defend her sister (which is ultimately the reason their friendship ended)

Thomas Barrow x Teen!reader - the bond that keeps us going
Tumblr media
Part five:
You had woken up a few more times that night, but with some small reading from Thomas you would quickly fall back asleep again.
“She will be moved to London in a few hours.” Doctor Clarkson spoke.
“So she will be okay then?” Your mother asked.
“We’re not quite out the woods yet my lady, I suspect lady (Y/N) will be there for quite a while.”
“How long?” Lady Mary asked.
“As of right now I cannot tell, but I will be getting daily updates, and I will go down once a week to see her.”
Everyone nodded and looked at you, Lady Edith was asleep by your side, and Thomas was asleep in the chair, still holding your hand in his.
“He will have to stay here.”
“Can he not go just for a day or two? To help her settle in?” Lady Cora asked.
“I’m sure he has more pressing matter to attend to here.”
“Oh I’m sure Carson can manage. (Y/N) will need help learning the layout of everything and Thomas is the only person she will allow to help her.”
Doctor Clarkson sighed heavily and looked at you.
“I will be staying for two days myself, I suppose he can come up and back with me.”
“Thank you Doctor Clarkson.” Your mother smiled.
You weren’t woken up until it was an hour before your departure from Downton Abbey to go to London.
You had been placed in a wheelchair, and your father was pushing it for you.
“We will visit you once you’re all settled in, alright?”
“Yes mama…” you whispered.
“Take our blessings with you, it will be lonely without you here (Y/N).”
You smiled at Lady Mary, and nodded your head.
After saying goodbye to your family, you were helped into the automobile, and you carefully felt around, inspecting everything.
“It’s black, and the door is a rather dark blue.” Thomas whispered.
“Is it nice…?”
“It is.” He smiled.
You nodded your head and you frowned a little.
“What’s wrong lady (Y/N)?”
“I.. don’t like… it…”
“Is it because you cannot feel the ground?”
You nodded your head softly.
“And.. I cannot… see where… I’m going…”
“Then let me describe it to you.”
You reached out, patting the seat next to you until you found his jacket sleeve and you gripped it tightly, listening as Thomas told you everything.
He explains everything to you, every turn, ever corner, every automobile passing by.
When you arrived to the small hospital in London where you would be staying, he did the exact same thing when you got inside.
He took you on laps around room so you could familiarise yourself around it.
Now you had been confined to bed once more by the doctors and the nurses, and Thomas was sat on the chair next to you reading to you.
“Thomas…?”
“Yes?”
“Will.. you.. still be… at Downton…?”
Thomas looked up from the book and set it aside.
“Of course I will, I wouldn’t dare dream of leaving Downton while I know you’re coming back soon.”
You smiled, nodding your head.
It was hard for you when Thomas had to leave, but he promised if you ever called for him he would come, and he would see you in all his half days.
And Thomas wasn’t used to not being with you in his free time, he came to realise how much spare time he actually did have when he wasn’t help you, talking to you, reading to you.
But just like he promised, he came to see you as often as he possible could.
And so much had changed in the weeks and slowly months that you were gone.
Everyone kept you updated, your family when they visited you, Thomas when he came down once or twice a month.
“Ah Thomas, this just arrived for you.” Mr Carson said.
He handed it the small envelope.
“Someone actually sends him post?” Alfred scoffed a little.
“Must be pretty desperate to be willingly writing to Thomas Barrow.” James smirked.
Thomas looked at the two new footmen and he flicked his eyes to Mr Carson.
“That desperate woman you are referring to happens to be her ladyship (Y/N), the youngest of Lord Grantham’s daughters, so I suggest you hold your tongue.”
Both of them quickly looked down while everyone else snickered at them.
“Why would her lady write to a servant Mr Carson?” A housemaid asked.
“That is nothing to do with any of you. Thomas how is her ladyship?”
Thomas opened the letter and walked over.
“Well?” Mrs Hughes said.
“It says her chest is better, but she still struggles to walk and breathe sometimes. She’s had a few more episodes but nothing in the last month.” Mr Carson said.
“Will her ladyship be home soon?” Mr Bates asked.
“The letter says hopefully just before the cricket match.”
There was clapping around the servants hall and Mr Carson handed the letter back to Thomas.
“Take it to his lordship, and let him know in case they have yet to notify the family.”
“Very good Mr Carson.”
Thomas rushed away.
You were overjoyed with the thought of going home, to be able to return to your family and familiar places once more.
You were sat in the back of the automobile, and you hated every second of it being sat there by yourself for so long.
But when the door was opened you felt a sense of relief.
“Oh my darling.” Your mother whispered.
She helped you out and held your face between her hands, placing a kiss to the top of your head.
“How are you?” Your father asked.
“I’m better papa.”
He smiled, doing the same as your mother and you felt someone hug you.
“Mary…” you smiled.
“How ever did you know?” She laughed.
“Only you hug me like this.” You smiled.
She pulled away and then you hugged Lady Edith just as tightly.
“We have some new servants to introduce to you, they have all been told about your condition, but we thought you’d like to hear their voices to recognise them.” Lord Grantham said.
“Oh?”
You walked up to the door and stopped.
Reaching your hand out, you grabbed the hand of the butler standing by the door and smiled.
“Carson.”
He squeezed your hand.
“I am glad to see you well my lady.”
You beamed at him and you were led inside, and stopped in the middle of the hall.
“Right, we’ll start with the new footmen.” Mr Carson said.
They stood forward and introduced themselves.
“Speak clearly, have you forgotten what you were told!” Mr Carson hissed.
“It’s quite alright Carson.” Your father said.
They repeated their names again, more clearly for you, and then the new housemaids were told to do the same by Mrs Hughes.
“Thank you all for speaking so clearly. You must understand if you come into a room you will announce yourselves clearly for Lady (Y/N) to hear.” Lady Cora said.
You turned your head, carefully listening to the room.
“You appear to be missing someone Mr Carson.” You said quietly.
“I believe we have everyone here my lady.”
You shook your head and slowly walked through the house and all the servants watched you confused.
“She never heard his voice when everyone spoke.” Lady Edith said.
“Oh my!” Mrs Hughes said.
She quickly followed you, as did everyone else to try and beat you before you reached the stairs but you had appeared to have already gone down.
“Lady (Y/N)!?” Mr Carson called.
You were stood in the servants hall with a heavy frown on your face.
“He’s not here…” you mumbled.
“Who your lady?” Alfred asked you.
“Her ladyship is looking for Thomas.”
They all shared a look before turning back to you.
“I believe I saw him go outside not long ago my lady, shall I take you?” Anna asked.
You nodded your head and followed her.
“Well, now that crisis is averted I think we’ll have luncheon in half an hour Carson.”
“Very good my lord.”
The family went upstairs and everyone went about their bustle to get everything ready.
You went outside and Anna took you over and you listened carefully.
“Is he here Anna?”
“He is my lady, just in front of you.”
You nodded and padded in front of you and stood shortly after.
Reaching out, you tapped the wall and finally you felt a livery jacket.
“Thomas.”
You felt him pull away and you frowned.
“Thomas?”
“I’m sorry my lady… I.. do not think you should touch me..” he mumbled.
You heard the sadness in his voice and you titled your head a little bit.
“What’s wrong?”
He sighed.
“I.. have not been honest with you my lady.. and I fear you will be disgusted by me, repulsed should you ever find out…”
“Let us talk about it, come on.”
You reached out and grabbed his hand and you pulled away a little confused.
You reached out and took it again, feeling the fabric around his hand.
Ignoring it, you grabbed his hand and led him inside.
“My lady let me.”
Thomas went first to held you up the step, and you grabbed his arm as you looked around until you found the door you were looking for and you pushed it open.
“Carson?”
“My lady.”
“Oh, James is here too. May I use your office to talk to Thomas?”
“Of course my lady. We will vacate at once.”
You walked in with Thomas and you heard the door close.
Sitting Thomas down, you sat next to him.
“What’s going on Thomas?”
“I.. must tell you something…”
And so he did, and he explained everything to you, his voice cracking as he told you about what had conspired over recent days.
“I am sorry if I disgust you my lady, but I will be leaving shortly.”
Standing up, you walked over front of him and reached out, wiping his tears.
“Don’t cry Thomas, I don’t like when you cry.”
Thomas sniffled a little.
“I’m sorry…”
“You have nothing to be sorry for. I don’t care what papa, or Carson, or this James boy has to say. You are staying in Downton and that is final.”
Thomas sniffled and look up.
“You are not repulsed by me?”
“Are you repulsed when you see me? The fact my eyes don’t look normal?” You countered.
“Of course not.”
“Then why would I be repulsed by you? Can I tell you something Thomas?”
“Of course my lady.”
You smiled and took his face in your hands.
“I have always known about you, I’m no fool. I have known for a while, some things you can just pick up on.”
You gestured for him to stand and he did, and you clasped his hands in yours.
“I would not care if you are a big green spaceman Thomas, you are my best friend, my favourite footman. You helped me when I needed it, now I will help you. Downton Abbey is your home, and I will not let someone run you out because they do not agree with your way of life.”
Thomas laughed a little.
“Thank you my lady.”
You beamed and bounced happily on your feet.
“Can we walk in the gardens Thomas? I want to talk, I’ve been in bed for so long.”
“Of course we can, come on then, I’ll ask Mrs Patmore to make you some luncheon and put it in a basket.”
You cheered and left the room and stood a little lost in the hallways since you had forgotten to follow Thomas.
You knew how to get to the servants hall, but that was it.
“My lady?” James asked.
“What?” You snapped.
He took a step back.
“I’m sorry my lady, I just though you seemed a bit lost is all.”
“Well I don’t need nor want your help, please refrain from speaking to me again.”
“I.. I’m sorry if I offended you my lady.”
You glared in his direction.
“Are you lost lady (Y/N)?”
You whipped your head in the other direction and huffed a little.
“You wondered off without me.”
“Well I thought you were following me.”
Thomas walked over and reached out, taking your hand he placed it on the basket.
“Do you have luncheon too?”
“I do my lady, yes. Are you ready?”
“Oh I cannot wait!”
You took his other hand and pulled your hand away again looking down at his hand with a confused look.
“I’m sorry my lady, here.”
Thomas moved to your other side and gave you his non bandaged hand.
You smiled brightly and took it, and Thomas helped guide you through the hallways and upstairs so you could announce that you were going for a walk.
“How can she touch him?” James said.
“Maybe she doesn’t know?” Alfred whispered.
“Oh no, her ladyship knows, I just heard them discussing it. I don’t think it right someone like him being allowed anywhere near a lady like her.” James said.
“If you two have nothing better to do but gossip about her ladyship I suggest you come serve luncheon.”
“Why is Thomas allowed so close to lady (Y/N)?” Alfred asked.
“The nature of the relationship between her ladyship and Thomas Barrow has nothing to do with anyone. The family are fine and happy with it and that is all that matters.”
Mr Carson ushered them away, but now he had to make sure his two new doormen didn’t stress you out in any sort of way.
Thomas was worried about you walking too far, so he set the luncheon up just in front of the house on the grass and he helped you sit down.
He served everything for you, and you sipped at your drink.
Thomas watched you carefully looking around, cloudy (E/C) eyes glancing around.
“So what will happen now?” You asked.
“Mr Carson wont give me a reference, I won’t be able to find work. But I’ll make it work.”
“Well, now you’re my… aid! You’re my aid!”
“Your what?”
“My aid! You help me see, so therefore papa cannot throw you out on the streets, because I need you to see.” You beamed.
“I don’t quite think it works like that my lady.” He chuckled.
You huffed a little.
“Well.. I will make Carson keep you here for now, and I’ll talk to both him and papa. I promise we’re going to figure this out.”
“You would do that for me? A lowly servant?”
“Well, that James seems a little full of himself if you ask me, and Alfred is too tall, and they’re not you, they don’t know me. And I do not want them too. And you are not a lowly servant Thomas Barrow do not say such things or I shall have to chased by the dogs.”
Thomas smiled softly at you.
“Thank you…” he whispered.
You beamed brightly at him, and though you still seemed exhausted, yet you were more of yourself than you were.
And now it was your turn to look after Thomas, and you would fight the whole house if you had to just to keep him there

Caroline Fox-Mountchristen-Windsor ✤ Sweet Caroline
Caroline Henrietta Alexandria Theresa Fox-Mountchristen-Windsor.  Princess of Wales.  Britain’s sweetheart, the tragic princess.  If her life were her own, maybe Caroline could have followed her dreams, could have followed her father’s footsteps and become an actress, the first female James Bond.  But her life belonged to crown and country, and Caroline’s free will only extended far enough to choose which media smile to use on any given day.  Caroline Fox had dreams, hopes, ambitions, secrets.  Princess Caroline was just a doll, a piece in her grandmother’s never ending game of chess.  This time, Caroline’s job was simple: to clean up the mess caused by her older brother and her dearest friend, to make the so-called Cakegate look like a silly misstep between best friends and not like an international incident that could determine the fate of American politics for the next four years and beyond.  In theory, it shouldn’t have been too hard, after all, Henry and Alex were quite possibly her two favourite people in the world, and Caroline had never not been able to charm her way out of trouble.  The only problem is that her grandmother’s plan involves a staging a relationship and eventually an engagement, possibly even another royal wedding.  The only problem is that this relationship would be between Caroline herself and Alex Claremont-Diaz.  The only problem is that Caroline knows that Henry has been in love with Alex for the past four years.

I am currently taking requests.
Note that I will not write all requests, depending on the character and scenario (I may ignore a request if I know absolutely nothing about the topic or have not a clue on how to write it), processing time for any request may take up to weeks.
What I will write:
Fluff
Angst
Lime
-Extremely thin chance I will write actual NSFW, maybe a few head cannons-

Platonic relationship
Mostly gender neutral reader
If not requested and involves body parts will mostly be gender neutral

The Living Daylights: The Computer Game
Original Release: 1987
Developer: Sculptured Software, Walking Circles Software De Re Software, Exasoft
Publisher: Domark
Platform: Commodore 64, Amiga, ZX Spectrum, Amstrad CPC, Amstrad PCW, MSX, Atari, BBC Micro, Arcade (possibly)
Version played: Commodore 64
Tumblr media
The second Domark game for James Bond, this time based on The Living Daylights. This one has a single consistent gameplay style throughout the whole game. It’s a run-and-gun shooter, but with a control method that is an interesting idea but doesn’t quite work.
Shooting works a lot like a lightgun game – place your cursor over the enemy and fire to kill them. However, the game doesn’t scroll automatically, you have to move Bond yourself. To do this, you move the cursor to the right side of the screen and carry on holding right. You can also jump by pressing up while still moving right – something that took me a few levels to figure out, as Bond just kept falling over obstacles every now and then.
If the cursor was fast and more precise, this might work, but as you’re moving, enemies can pop up on the left side, meaning that it takes a while to move the cursor over to them.
Tumblr media
After you finish a level, you can choose a special weapon for the next level. The weapons changes the strength of your shot, but don’t alter any graphics, so Bond’s “Bazooka” kills enemies in one shot, but Bond is still holding a pistol. One option at the end of the first level is an Infrared Sight. If you don’t choose this, all the enemies will be shadows, and this is the only level with civilians – shoot them and you’ll lose points. If the Bazooka is available, definitely choose that for other levels.
Tumblr media
While the first few levels are incredibly grey, there’s a bit of colour late on. The graphics make use of the Commodore 64 quite well, with some nice locations. You’ll encounter a few different enemies. Most are at the “back”, but a few will stand in your way and throw bombs at you (the first of these throws explosive milk bottles). The game also has some nice music to go with it.
The Living Daylights is a decent game, hampered by the awkward controls. It doesn’t really do anything special, but it also isn’t horrible in any way.
Tumblr media
Other Versions
Amstrad CPC
This version has simpler and flatter looking graphics, although some of the stages are much more colourful in this area, especially the first stage, which is just grey in the C64 version.
Tumblr media
Amstrad PCW
This is similar to the Amstrad CPC version, except that it runs in monochrome.
Tumblr media
Atari 8-Bit Systems
This version has simpler graphics, but tried to create the depth of the full version, instead of simplifying the layout like the Amstrad version. This makes this version look cluttered and messy.
Tumblr media
ZX Spectrum
The graphics for this version are simple, but they have been properly adapted to suit the system.
Tumblr media
BBC Micro
The graphics for this version are simple, but they have been properly adapted to suit the system. One issue the game has is that the obstacles don’t always load properly, so Bond will often trip over nothing.

Top 5 novels(or series)? 👀
i miss being a bookseller and talking about books irl so this ask makes me super happy! also this is going to be long and i apologize in advance
beauty queens by libba bray
my favorite book of all time. i read it WAY too young, like in 2011 at age 12, and it massively influenced my awareness of the world, personal philosophy, sense of humor, and creative identity. beauty queens is an ahead-of-its-time ya satire novel about teenage girls getting stuck on a deserted island and going feral (positive connotation).
it features a well-balanced main cast of about a dozen diverse young women, including the first trans character i ever encountered (because i read the book pretty young, it's actually how i found people can be trans at all). while this character's execution does include a few now-questionable tropes, she's written in incredibly good faith and i am so grateful for her being in this book. beauty queens also introduced me to perspectives from women of color, disabled women, and women from religious communities that i hadn't really gotten the chance to encounter in my bubble of a hometown. while the author is admittedly a cis white straight woman, she pours so much empathy and love and nuance into each individual beauty queen, and especially for 2011 i think she did a really good job.
in addition to All That Deep Meaningful Stuff, the book is like a james bond parody with a villain clearly meant to be sarah palin set in a hyper-capitalist satirization of america, characterized by super weird and out-of-the-box "commercial breaks." i describe it in my review as "weird, campy, tropey, and over-the-top," and warn that, "if you take everything very seriously, you will have trouble with this book."
my general creative philosophy is that art is at its best and most meaningful when you have no doubt anyone else could have made it. libba bray knows exactly what she wants to write, and she fucking does that, even if some people won't understand or enjoy it. the world is a better place because this book exists, which is true of everything on this list--but this deeply weird novel, seemingly lost to time, is my all-time favorite for a reason.
sharp objects by gillian flynn
gillian flynn is my favorite AUTHOR of all time. she wrote gone girl, sharp objects, and another lesser-known novel called dark places. sharp objects is a hard one to gush about without spoilers and/or triggers, but oh my god it is a masterpiece. its final line is my favorite final line in any media, ever. i am a huge lover of the domestic thriller genre, and while gone girl is more domestic thriller than sharp objects, i think this one is the better BOOK. huge trigger warning for self-harm if the title and cover aren't enough of a hint, but hoooo boy this book is the best kind of brutal
the illuminae files trilogy by jay kristoff & amie kaufman
these sci-fi ya thrillers are told entirely through transcripts, message logs, and other "found evidence" in a dossier meant to expose an evil corporation. the characters are clever and interesting, the conflict is layered, and there's some awesome space-horror a la alien movie. there's a love story and philosophical musings and wise-cracking idiot teenagers who i adore. there's a deranged ai and beautiful page layouts and the quote, "you have me. until the last star in the galaxy dies, you have me." these are great books for people who can't stand large chunks of prose, appreciators of comics and mixed-media storytelling, and the AUDIOBOOKS are like full-on radioplays with voice actors and sfx. all three novel hold their own while still feeling cohesive when read sequentially. so unique and so freaking cool
no exit by taylor adams
idiot college art student gets snowed in at a rest stop, realizes that someone is in the middle of trafficking a child and has to a) figure out who it is and b) stop them. this thriller is gory and fast-paced and darkly comedic and does the whole cat-and-mouse hero and villain thing that always lives in my head rent-free. it's gleefully violent and reminds me of films like kill bill and american psycho. i can't and won't spoil more but this book is so fun to read, especially if you enjoy media that doesn't take itself too seriously. the movie adaptation sucks and i'll be mad about it forever, especially because taylor adams comes from a screenwriting background and i doubt they let him touch the script. there's a thematically-relevant garfield clock and nail gun used several times as a murder weapon. in my storygraph review of this book, i summed up my love for it pretty well: "Sometimes a book just speaks to you. Probably not great that this one does it for me, but at least I had so much fun."
the stepford wives by ira levin
people discuss the stepford wives as a Cultural Concept, but i wish more people actually read the novella. it's really freaking good as a work of horror and satire. it's short, too. i've been dreaming up a stage adaptation for years.
other honorable mentions: the hunger games trilogy you know who wrote it, solutions and other problems by allie brosh, anya's ghost by vera brosgol, all of mary oliver's poetry, never saw me coming by vera kurian, in a dark dark wood by ruth ware, dead to her by sarah pinborough, annie on my mind by nancy garden
