The anons who keep going to other blogs to talk shit about you are the definition of “always hating from outside the club when you can’t even get in”.
Loosing sleep, breaking out into pimples, foaming at the mouth because they can’t personally message you.
Lame.
If they really want to pop some veins, instead of talking about styling rings we can have a real convo about the Busan “I’ll tell you in the future” Muster 3 rings.

🥂 to living the best life, storma 💜
Love you 💜💜 and it's not like they can't message me. My inbox is still open and so are my DMs. They just don't want to. They'd rather complain and cause drama in the shadows. I really piss some people off I guess. I don't know why. I guess for sometimes saying jikook are boyfriends. I've never talked bad about any other bond. I'd always be down to talk about the matching accessories anyone else wears too! As long as they don't degrade jikook at the same time if they send in an ask about it.
Tumblr media
I know I'm not everyone's cup of tea. Promise, I know. I just don't understand why you'd keep such close tabs on what I'm doing just to piss yourself off more. Block me and go? Lol save yourself the headache. But I mean, while we are here and everyone is stressing TF out about the members matching. They sure are cute 🥰

I'm obsessed with them all. And I would really appreciate it if people were a little less obsessed with me too honestly 😂

This is for everyone who seems to be "struggling" with states + what I can suggest + My success story.
-Have you ever been one of those people to reach "that moment" in manifestation where you wanted to be, even if you have never either it doesn't matter. You know how much of an outsider and annoyed/obsessive over loa when seeing other people succeed and couldnt really find what would work for me. Sounds like you, huh? You are not the only one, I'll tell you exactly how to get out of there + master your manifesting skills and a bit of self-concept.
The. answer. is. staring. right. at your face.............................................Yes.
"But anon, wdym by that??" What I mean is that notice how all of these people who post their success stories are in the state of easy/effortless manifestation. Like they mention how easy it is and how effective it is. Thats because of their state, they chose to occupy the state of someone who does the bare minimum in loa and still gets wtf they want. It doesnt matter how many times you repeat your affs, persist, mental diet, you wanna know why you waste energy doing that? Is because your occupying the state of "difficult manifesting", meaning you obsess over it, you try so hard but "nothing" comes, you feel you need to do the most to get it. Notice how all of these points I made fall under the state of "difficult manifestation"?? if you were in that state, those things I just mentioned would've been what you experience. Why?? BECAUSE YOU OCCUPIED THE STATE OF SOMEONE WHO ISNT SUCCESSFUL IN MANFESTING!!!
A thing I def reccomend when using states to manifest is to understand the 4D IS THE TRUE REALITY AND NOT THE 3D. Yes I know you're tired of hearing the same thing but now that you have a shifted paradigm on states, it should be easier. What I did was know that the 4d is the blueprint, kind of put it on the pedestal but not in the negative way. It was a way where I didn't ignore the 3d and affirm against it, but focused on my 4d and stuck with it. Because "ignoring the 3d and affirming agains it" simply implies that your 3d is filled with undesirable things and you affirm against it.
Cause trust me I've been there when I say living in my 4d was making me crazy, but you know why it did? Was because I looked at the 3d for validation/ didnt trust what my 4d is saying. It's kind of like y'know when you like a guy/girl and your friend warns you to stay away from that person but you get annoyed at them because you think what they're saying is bullshit?? Same thing applies. If you dont trust your 4d and realise it creates the 3d and is so much more powerful than what you experience, when will living in the end ever be a fullfilling thing to do? Get it? "Fullfilled" LMFAOO I'm so hilarious, but enough of my corny jokes. Heres a summary
-Be in the state of someone who is a master at manifesting/self concept etc.
-Know that your 4d creates everything, when its done in your 4d, its done in 3d, a simple way to put this is just live in your mind because when you realise that, you change your imagination, you change your reality and there is so much power in knowing that.
-ANNDDD THENNN you can apply everything else like persisting, repeating affs etc.
I got perfect self-concept doing this, like I got compliments today and I felt so confident, I love the way I'm so pretty, like why am I so perfect and gorgeous?
I manifested many straight niggas to like me at my school (im black and gay) let me tell you!!! a nigga stopped and walked back and stared at me to see "Damn who is that??" I was laughing so hard.
Overall my life has improved, I get things to go my way and yeah. thats about my successes. I might start a blog but because of how disrespectful anons are Idk if I should.
-tysm lovies, stay hot nd mysterious, and know how powerful you are!!!! stop wavering!!!!!
omg, thank you so much for sharing this ! i hope this helps some people ! ♡

Any tips for an amateur writer? I've been writing a pmd:eos fic series on ao3 that's been getting praise, but I still feel inexperienced
Yooo pokemon mistery dungeon explorers of sky? Hell yeah best pokemon game to make fanfic of, easily. its an absolute BANGER Ok i got a few pieces of advice for ya, i don't mind sharing! 1 - One of the most important ones for me personaly, is to know and understand yourself and your own style of writing. By what i mean its like; you get an idea for a story, or a concept. But knowing your writing style, your capability to write scenes, and even the characters in question, do you KNOW that you can write this story? Its actually pretty important; Because writing takes up a LOT of time and effort, and if you just start blanking halfway into it, you'll have wasted so much time with a story that you don't exactly know how to do. I personaly have so many ideas, but i only execute on the ones that i am aware i can work on, and would know where to take, even if the idea is small. (For example, i had an idea for writing a fic of rarijack but only when theyre older, after the events of FIM. I started writing immediately because i knew exactly that i could do it; and am already 25 pages in and might finish today, heh) 2 - Write horizontaly, not verticaly. by that i mean; don't start at the beginning and work from there, consider all of your story's structure before you even start, act 1, 2, and 3, and its most pivotal moments. Much like you would sketch a drawing before lining and coloring, its important as hell that you are planning all your setups and payofss in advance, all of the arcs and character progression in tandum and stuff. This applies well to the first advice too! Don't be afraid to make an ugly ass sketch of a story, as long as youre aware that this is indeed a story you can make. Make the skeleton before adding the meat, and only after do you add the makeup. And as you write, more ideas will come to you! 3 - This one is more for my own, personal taste, but never be afraid of writing multigenre! By that like. If you're writing romance, dont be afraid to put action, if you're writing drama, dont be afraid to put a moment of comedy here and there; stories are infinitely more interesting when they're not just one note, not just a single tone! And the readers would absolutely be delighted on having moments of respite or shock, it keeps them on their toes. 4 - This one is hard to execute, and i cant give examples that arent long, but like. None of your scenes and sequences should be just what they are in the surface. Like; A character knows something that the other doesnt, or the audience knows something that neither character knows, or the underlying conflict is constantly clashing silently. A short example i can give is a scene in on of my fics in which a character was being asked about her past, and she spoke ernestly, but every once in a while i'd add a "She lied" after the information she provided; And i didn't need to add anything else, that in itself is enough for the audience to understand and consider why this character is doing what shes doing, and just that simple little thing added an really interesting layer to the simple conversation. Essentialy, there's no reason why a conversation should *just* be a conversation in your stories, and there is no reason why you should have filler for the sake of it. Pacing is important, and you can make every single scene and chapter on your story interesting, nothing stops you but you! The "She lied" thing is specialy important, because you don't have to treat your audience like babies. I didn't explain why she lied, because if any reader was paying attention, they'd understand completely, everything would simply click. A character can sometimes say something, and all you need to do is write the tone of their voice, and the reader can already connect the dots, or even something as simple as describing a facial expression or body language without explaining why it is what it is; It makes your story more engaging! I have a million other advice, but i felt like these were the most important ones i specificaly could provide. Good luck!

(fountain anon) I guess the best way to say why I dont understand fountain is that I dont understand why people are so angry at it. Because that seems to be the crux of the piece, the negative reaction to it that continues to this day (part of the reason I find it hard to try look into is that it seems like every second result is some rant about how it should never have been made disguised as an actual article). Its like you say that it rubs against their idea of what art is, but I just dont get that. Even is someone dislikes it as a piece I dont understand why someone would say it doesnt get to count as art, which I guess does tie into the AI stuff as well. idk how well I've articulated that but thats one of the main things I dont understand about fountain, where that response seems more important than the art object itself.
Theres smaller things I dont understand which together make a large hole of many smaller questions but I cant list well all of here, like one being if the whole point of the work is that its "readymade" then why do the institutions seem set on preserving that one specific urinal like a holy relic but from your first response it seems like you have thoughts on that yourself.
If what's confusing you is why someone would get so up-in-arms about this, or insist that they get to dictate what counts as "art," then the context that's probably missing is an idea of how powerful the cultural and institutional orthodoxy surrounding "art" was at the beginning of the 20th century.
You could probably analyse that in a few different ways. To me, the crux of the matter is just what I've been pointing out—a capitalist understanding of "value" relies on a concept of "labour hours" and the attendent concept of "exchange value" in a capitalist market—plus, in the U.S., capitalist ideology and Protestant ideology are often entwined with each other insofar as Protestant ideology glorifies work and suffering as essential to moral "worth" or "value."
@auntbutch points out that the matter of who gets to decide what "art" is is a matter of power. In a concrete sense, the (majority of the board of the) Society of Independent Artists had the power to hide the piece during the Grand Central Palace exhibition despite the fact that the artist had paid the requisite fee to have the piece displayed, which constituted a rejection of the idea that the piece could consistute "art."
In a conceptual sense, the idea that there is "art" and there is "non-art"—because it relies on a distinction between the "artistic" and the "everyday"—must therefore rely on an idea of "value" that is conveyed by scarcity (see again: capitalist exchange value). Put another way: if everything is art, nothing is.
In order for art to have "value" (exchange value, moral value, "artistic" value), it must be (in comparison to the numbers of objects in the world) rare; in order for artists to be fundamentally different creatures than the rest of the masses of humanity, they must be rare.
You can ensure that artists remain rare, and that art consumption remains the province of the wealthy, by insisting that the production of "art" requires a good deal of time, and anything which did not require a good deal of time to produce (in addition to time spent learning the skills required to produce it, time spent networking and paying your dues before you are enabled to proceed in the field, &c.) is therefore not "art."
cut for length:
You can also ensure that "art" remains rare by insisting that art must not be useful. The early 20th century is a bit out of period for me, but I know that the concept of "l'art pour l'art" ("art for art's sake") had come into popularity at the end of the 19th century in reaction to a general culture that insisted on the moral value of art and its "purpose" in shaping minds and leading to good, moral habits.*
Where these discourses agreed is that "art" was not held to have physical, quotidian uses: a working-class woman knitting stockings for her family to wear because they could not afford to pay someone else to do it was not an artist, no matter how much time and skill and aesthetic sensibility went into their production; nor were any of the world's Indigenous peoples who were producing e.g. pottery, or ornamenting various other everyday objects.
This is the inherited distinction between "Art" with a capital "A" and a "craft." This keeps women, the working class, and non-Europeans out of "art," because they do not have the time, the distance from the everyday business of the maintenance of life, or supposedly the intellectual capacity to produce "real" art.
So art did not have a physical purpose. Rather, the purpose of art was to "exalt the senses"; to create exquisite sensations in the viewer as a result of the aesthetic skill of the artist. Depending on how overtly moralist a given theorist was, they might say it was to improve upon what had come before and thereby build on our (read: the white races') inheritance of the best impulses and accomplishments of humanity. (Actually Victorian concepts of eugenics had a lot to do with aesthetics—the purpose of art was to advance the (white) race morally, and thus to improve the hereditary material that they passed down when they reproduced.)
Granted, the context in which Duchamp first attempted to display "Fountain" was one in which you had had some heterodoxy of content—cubism, for example, which the Society of Independent Artists did seem to like. But ultimately, though cubism probably angered a lot of people for its loose approach to representation and thus the potential danger it posed to the future of "art" (again, not really my area), it was something that the Society could nevertheless recognise as "art," because it was clearly an object that the artist had spent time creating and that fell into a previously understood medium of "painting" or "sculpture" (not a lot of heterodoxy of form). Despite the fact that the Society's exhibition was supposedly "open," and that they were supposedly an "avant garde" group, it went too far.
The challenge that readymades posed was that they asked people to consider something that was not created but merely chosen and recontextualised by the artist as "art". They affronted the notion that art required time and skill (on the part of the artist) and therefore had a natural inbuilt assurance of scarcity.
But "Fountain" is by far the most famous amongst the series of readymades that Duchamp exhibited, probably because there's something about its being a urinal that is pretty confronting (whether it reads as "gross" or "disrespectful" or what have you). It lacked respect for the effort that "real" artists put in and the art world that circulated and displayed "real" art pieces and the seriousness with which they took their mission to uplift or express or represent humanity or whatever it was that they insisted art must do.
"Fountain" looked at a whole culture of people who deeply felt that they were doing something important to the fate of humanity—and, in some cases, had made careers and money out of creating and stewarding and judging "art" (not just artists but critics and museum directors and curators and the board members of independent societies of artists)—and said "actually, art is a receptable for piss."
You can see this same sort of attitude today very easily by scrolling through a few replies on any of my posts asking people to reconsider their easy equation of "time and effort" to "value" in their evaluation of art. A lot of people (especially people with money on the line) are very affronted by that request, and insist that art's function as something that binds humanity together and creates wonderful feelings in the viewer (sound familiar?) is dependent upon its requiring "effort" to create.
The museums that treat this specific urinal (actually a few approved replicas, the original was lost, my bad) like a holy relic are, in effect, absorbing (neutralising?) the critique that "Fountain" was levieing without 'understanding' it or behaving accordingly. Really, a museum can't 'understand' a critique of this nature or behave accordingly, because the critique cuts at the very concept of what a museum (or an art exhibition, or an art auction, &c. &c.) is for in the first place.
The climate surrounding art (in the circles of the intelligentsia, art students, rich people who want to be 'cultured," various other groups) has changed significantly in the intervening 100+ years since "Fountain" was made, to the extent that "modern art" frequently comes across critiques along the lines of "my kid could have painted that" (from the non-art-educated "public," who don't have the sometimes enormous amount of information needed to contextualise a given piece or movement. So you have a split between different groups' concepts of "art," where for a lot of people today it's still "looks nice and required effort to make," while a lot of the art-educated have moved on).
However, despite the fact that e.g. a readymade may be "easier" and take less time to create, the museums that feature them still rely on scarcity! Because their value proposition is that they collect and curate and display objects of extraordinary artistic or cultural or historical "value." What's inside of them must be different from what's outside of them for them to be worth keeping the lights on and employing staff and paying an entrance fee and accepting government culture grants. It's just that the scarcity may come from different sources (it's a rare artist who has the right connexions to get a piece or an exhibition accepted; it's a rare piece that has caused enough controversy to be historically significant enough to be "worth" displaying).
As far as I'm concerned, museums' accepting "Fountain" into the fold of "real" art by exhibiting it (putting money into storing and moving the original replicas and displaying them, putting the weight of their institutional cachet behind it, &c.) is one of the greatest ironies of the piece. Pinoncelli, who has attacked "Fountain" exhibitions with, on two different occasions, a hammer and his own urine, got much closer to the spirit of it.
*You can probably just about figure what these "moral" habits are: heterosexual marriage, the maintenance of virginity especially in women, adherence to the nuclear family, a sense of emotional "sympathy" for other people as strengthening the body politic, refraining from "indulgence" in drinking and gambling, avoiding miscegenation, &c. &c.

Hello! I've been trying to learn and study verdic astrology for a while now, but can't seem to find the time for it, so your observations and overall all your posts have been incredibly helpful in helping me understand more of the concept(?) and the stories behind each nakshatras that you've been writing about. Though I do have some questions about certain things that I've been trying to find answers for, but whenever I try to find those answers, it seems like there's not much informations about them. Some had sufficient details but it was harder to grasp the exact answers I've been looking for. So I decided maybe I could find those answers from you! Although I'm in no way part of your culture, with how much I've come to understand myself more through your researches made me all the more interested in spirituality and verdic astrology itself! There are questions I've come to be more curious about and would like to hear your thoughts on them!
I'm meaning to find the difference between tropical and sidereal astrology. Though I don't exactly grasp whether or not tropical is the same as western astrology or are they the same thing?
This thus then begs the question whether tropical chart placements can relate to sidereal nakshatras placements. I've been seeing (more like read) that you often mention that if you have these nakshatras placements in tropical, they can have certain relevance or influence since some nakshatras share a sign or stay in only one sign in tropical (I don't really get whether the tropical chart that I searched for is really tropical cause it particularly looks the same as the western chart)
If so (that tropical placements can share similar characteristics to nakshatras at sidereal) to what extend does this influence apply?
If you do answer to these questions of mine, thank you very very much! For making time to answer these questions as well as answering them and would likely satiate my immense curiosity about these topics! Your works have been immensely beautiful and I hope there are more researches to come from you! Have a great day! 😊🌷
thank you, im glad my posts have been helpful!!
these are really good questions and i feel like it will help many people clear misunderstandings or understand things better, so here it goes:
is tropical the same as a western birth chart?
pretty much yes. there are many different types of astrology systems (hellenistic, vedic, islamic etc all based on cultural variations) and there's also draconic, horary, harmonic etc
tropical and sidereal astrology differ in terms of how the zodiac is mapped. tropical astrology does not take the concept of axial precession into account. the sun does not return to the same point in the sky every year.
tropical uses fixed stars whereas sidereal take into account the current position of stars. this is why they say tropical is more simplified and sidereal presents a more holistic view of things.
2. i do think tropical and sidereal are two halves of a whole. tropical astrology provides a very simplified overview of the psychology and attributes of different signs whereas sidereal helps us gain a deeper understanding of who we are.
i think its hard for some people because they deeply identify with being a leo for example and realize that actually they're sidereal cancers, the tropical chart kind of represents your ego and external attachments and sidereal shows your hidden/repressed/shadow side. ive heard many people say that it was a journey to go from heavily identifying with their tropical chart and feeling disconnected to their sidereal chart to eventually coming to terms with and embracing it and in turn those parts of themselves. its like doing shadow work. but this is just my personal opinion
i say that even tropical placements can relate to some of the sidereal takes because i dont think you cease to be the person you are just because you switch systems. if you're a tropical pisces and a sidereal aquarius, its possible and alright to feel drawn to pisces energy or both those energies. since its essentially based on how we're looking at the positions of these stars in the galaxy, we can't really say what we feel connected to or what we dont. astrology is not a perfect science. there are elements of pisces in aquarius, of aries in pisces and so on and so forth. its best to not think in arbitrary terms because all of us have many influences that shape us.
idk what you meant by tropical chart looking the same as a western chart bc theyre the same😭😭😭
3. i feel like i answered this above but like i said i feel like everything is a meeting point of many different energies. like Revati (since we're in Revati season) belongs entirely to Sidereal Pisces rashi but i definitely associate the tropical fire sign chaos with it because they're tropical Aries'. obviously this is just how i think of and perceive them. I think it also has a lot to do with how the elements are perceived in tropical vs vedic. In tropical astrology water is mostly understood as this tranquil, reflective, moody energy but in Vedic there is more complexity to every element and a lot of emphasis on the destructive nature of water (UBP, Ashlesha, Jyeshta etc all fall into water rashis) even fire is understood not only as severe and dynamic but also purifying with its scorching heat.
Revati is the birth nakshatra of Saturn, the exact exaltation point of Venus and is Mercury ruled in Pisces rashi which is Jupiter ruled, so that's like 4 different influences right there lol
i know ive used sidereal and vedic interchangeably throughout this post but just wanna say that vedic astrology uses the sidereal system of looking at the stars. but obviously vedic astrology is a whole separate system rooted in indian culture and hindu mythology etc (its like how milk is used to make ice cream, milk is not ice cream but it is USED to make ice cream, if that makes sense??)
also usually i feel like whatever major placements you have in tropical somehow shows up in vedic too?? like if you have a stellium in say virgo, maybe in vedic you have a mercury ruled nakshatra in your big 3. i feel like the overall influences/themes etc often repeat themselves but obvi there will be variations too
youre welcome!!<33 hope u have a good day too bestie<33tysm for reading this far<3

Hi! Your lolita coord looks absolutely lovely, and I have a question. I'm just starting to wrap my head around lolita so I dont know that much, but I do know a bunch about historical fashion, and I wondered why chokers arent lolita? From what I've seen, lolita takes a lot of inspiration from Marie Antoinette time France (I dont know the proper era name in english) and during that time, wearing a (red) choker was a way that the nobility remembered their friends and family who were guillotined, so it would match from a historical perspective and (as your coord shows) it matches very well from an aesthetic perspective. But I have the feeling I dont fully understand how historical dress influences and inspires specific lolita styles (there are so many different styles, and it's very hard to figure out where to start researching apart from looking at amazing outfits online haha)
Thank you! So this is an interesting question, because it brings up one of the most interesting parts about making a cohesive coordinate.
So, for starters, the main thing about chokers was that they were considered an ita halmark, or a thing that people assumed was common in lolita and but that really isn't. You could use it to identify a new wearer who did not do their basic research. Choker collars were big in anime wear, so people who hadn't researched lolita and just assumed what it was from watching anime would assume that it was acceptable in lolita. This also includes cat-girl collars, which were usually worn along with cat ears, being a 2/4 on the Ita Outfit Checklist of old.
Choker necklaces also had a kind of sexy connotation to them for a while. Literally everyone who shopped on etsy in 2016-recent times was really tired of finding choker necklaces made of raschel lace that say "daddy's plaything" on it in the lolita tag. Chokers weren't really worn by mainstream fashion for almost a decade, so when they were being worn in lolita, they looked out of place. To try and mentally place that item, people would try to link it to its mainstream counterparts, which often were fetish wear or anime wear.
Basically, at the time, wearing a choker was not a super common thing to wear at normal times, so when you included it in the coordinate, people would try to figure out why you thought it contributed to the look. There wasn't anything particularly wrong about it, but it looked odd. It wasn't normie wear, so it had to exist as being lolita wear, and it just wasn't inherently lolita. They're still not inherently lolita and don't have an established history of being a normal lolita accessory, but they now once again exist as normal wear, so it's not as out of place. That said, there's a lot of lolita looks through the ages who pulled it off and made it look really good. It wasn't always an ita trademark.
The history about the choker in France is super cool! I didn't know that! However, there's something about committing to the bit that needs to be aware of in lolita fashion. The fashion itself draws a lot of vibes from Rococo France, as well as Victorian, Edwardian, and generally absurdly opulent historical garments. However, there's a lot of sub styles that don't draw from that specifically as much as drawing from the general idea of the fashion that shaped that. This is a weird distinction and it's kind of hard to explain, so it's also very easy to overlook something that I can barely put into words.
I was talking about it at the panel (I think. A lot of what I said is now a blur) about how working outside concepts into lolita fashion requires basically committing to everything being either lolita, or a specific element of the thing you're working in. If you're doing punk lolita, all your elements should look either lolita, or punk. And you can do this with other styles.
Tumblr media
For example, here's @trickstercheshi in their really lovely ott coordinate. If they'd wanted to take more elements of historical France and work that into the look, it'd either make it look more French OTT, or more lolita. But putting a super 2010 Sweet element here would take away from the look and make the coordinate more confused. It would lose focus and start looking much more strange.
And that's an important thing to focus on in lolita, and something that's hard to do when you're first starting out. There's a lot of history and a lot of things you'll see in lolita that aren't particularly obvious initially why they are where they are. I think a good example of this is Chocomint-style star clips versus gothic halo tiaras (I'm writing this at work or I'd include pictures, remind me later), which are both common in certain lolita looks but not always normal in every coord. It becomes important to look at different sub-styles, to know what fits in where.
I probably have more to add here but my lunch is over so I hope that helped someone.

Talking about the concept art of Heath (G3)
Hey, so his concept art dropped today in the morning i think, and i wanted to say my opinion about it xP
(This is just me being autistic part 1000 of the series called my life)
Tumblr media
Honestly i LOVE those two designs, favs out of the six
The dark eyes of the second? Its looks so cool, it kinda fits way more on the idea of Heath beign the son of the 'Ruler of the Underworld' (Did they call him Satan or Devil or Hades in the show??). Its more edgy looking, it would clash with the personality he has maybe? Like in a good way
Not a fan of the more redish orange of the first, but it fits pretty god with the darkers spots (i think its like magna chunks?? Im gonna call it that). Those parts, chunks, spots, whatever, they can be interpreted as a skin condition he has, and this SO important to me, you NEVER see characters with that, because its hard to animate or "non important", but to a person like me (I have seborrheic dermatitis!) It means a lot.
I still don't understand why did they choose those colours for his clothes, it stands out but in an awful way, the light blue shouldn't be the main colour for his hoodie, it should be the complimentary one, and making the flames in orange to red gradient doesn't help AT ALL
Those two, the first one mostly, are the only ones that you can look at them and get Heath vibes, like you can recognize its Heath (lanky body shape, expressions and pose he's doing help with this too)
Tumblr media
I dont like those two i am SO sorry
I like that they went with more accesories with these, really liking the metal chain honestly (and the earrings!), and the black nails too, it fits him
I prefer the design with the buzzcut, i actually tend to use that as a HC in my drawings, still don't know why they didn't give him one in the show, because his bald head when his fire goes out doesnt look right at all :/
His design looks so good with black, it makes the fire stand out in a good way, his shorts and shoes look way better in here. But the vest? Im sorry, tge idea its cool but it fuck ups his silluette, hes too square looking, and it gives off a totally different vibe. Also the long pants with the same exact design as the shirt? It doesn't look good
Tumblr media
HE COULD HAVE BEEN EMO IN CANON 😔 (this is a reference to a HC of G1 Heath)
Those two are difficult, because I like them, they look good, truly they do, but the way they are drawn, like, their body shape? Mostly his face, he looks WAY older, like he looks idk 17? 18?
He looks so good with long hair i must say
In general, they give off more older brother/sibling of Heath; he doesn't look or give Heath vibes, nothing, nada
-
AND THAT WAS MOSTLY MY OPINION, SORRY THIS WAS SO LONG GOD, i muat say that different aspects of those designs would be better by separate, but bringing 'all the good parts' of those 6 designs isn't the solution to anything, at least in my eyes, thats all :P

these r all the asks i got last night about the whole aesthetic discussion i'll answer in order of when i got them :p
Tumblr media
truth b told if i started simblr like. today and knew nothing about photoshop then i'd probably be pretty demoralised too but also thats exactly how it was starting simblr anyway i just worked on it until i was happy w my skills... no one gave me a cheat code i just put time and effort into it
Tumblr media
i agree with u im ngl like i do sincerely wish everyone had the opportunity to put hours and hours of their lives into learning how everything about this works if thats what they truly wanted. also if anything doing it solely by urself will make the process all the more time consuming but if u ask around for help people (including me! im down to help fr) will usually give it to u and that'll speed up the process more. being mad at me for having that is pointless what am i gna do go back in time and unlearn it all and for what? dsfghjk
Tumblr media
okay i did see this being said a lot and uhhhh i was trying to understand it but like. i also don't. like ok with cluttered aesthetic build shots or yknow the odd landscape with heavy bloom shader on it i guess if ur looking at it completely from that pov yeah i guess it looks like some posts that "blow up" r just sort of the same shit. but the fact remains that its also it's good shit like anyone can clutter a room and take a photo of it what really counts here in my opinion anyhow is shot composition. and there's literally preestablished rules for this sort of thing u can google cinematography basics and get it for free... there's a whole field of study looking into what draws the human eye. like maybe the core concepts behind what makes a popular post popular is the same but thats because it just works. if u wanna shy away from that entirely but then complain about ur posts not being as popular then that's very much a u problem it doesn't have anything to do with the rest of us
Tumblr media
amen these are my ocs wdym these are "sims" LOLLL these are the real people living in my head if i bust my ass making them look good then thats a choice i made
Tumblr media
u can call this an empathy problem and try explain it to me more but i dont see how other people feeling insecure about what their current ability scales up to is any fault of mine or my problem to bend backwards to try fix... or even how i could. like is the standard high now yeah honestly it is. the learning curve was steep as hell when i first started as well. no disagreements here. but what am i supposed to do about it LMAO like i didn't create the human proclivity to be drawn to beauty i just ride off of it.
idk why i'm the bad guy for being honest for my reasoning behind what i do and don't reblog? lots of other people have been saying they dont really care about aesthetics which is great but if i said that i'd literally just be lying to you. i'm not gonna apologise for not lying... i like being able to see the passion and energy poured into the same video game we're all playing it's only natural to appreciate that- if that reads as passive aggression and u don't understand my stance that's fine by me
Tumblr media
i would say for me personally try watch visual media that u can recognise as "beautiful" and not to shit on like. cw shows but i mean stuff that is marked by its cinematography being truly excellent. and just really examine how those set and lighting designers use angles and lighting and how the people filming and editing choose to frame their shots to achieve what works. hell looking at art helps with this too. look at other people's stuff on simblr analytically try to seriously work out why it appeals to people the way it does. ik u asked for editing tips but i think it really starts ingame you can have the most incredible editing style but it doesn't work if ur shot comp doesn't work then it'll won't hit as hard
take time to learn what most of the adjustment layers do on photoshop, and what all the blending layers look like, download other people's psds and play with them on top of ur shots to see what works! what u personally think looks good will be different from what i personally think looks good, i like dramatic lighting and muted colours and mid level contrast so not too strong but i can't speak for whether you will too. ALSO im a religious user of @/simmerstesia's psd set here i think a well chosen shot can be really elevated by using something like this to really give it that final polish
additionally if u have any like really specific questions or need some advice u can ask me on discord my dms are open like i can talk u thru it. promise it's not as daunting as it can look

Okay, so remember that concept with allura having amnesia? Ive been thinking about that. a lot. and how it related to kuron specifically-
Beacuse there are PARALELLS here. They both have to deal with a legacy left by a past version of them and they both irreversibly change as people. Kuron resents Shiro and what he represents, and allura struggles with living up to the mysticisied and glorified hero everyone tells her shes supposed to be. and its like- if they talked about it like NORMAL PEOPLE, if Kuron had ANY emotional intelligence left, they would see that they have a lot in common actually!!
BUT. at the same time. I dont think its really possible for them to do that, at least right now, beacuse a huge fuckin part of kurons trauma was caused by allura fucking KILLING HIM, and hes understandably pissed about it. and i think that allura not remembering anything would only make him even more upset, bc everyone besides him mourned and idolisied her, and constantly hearing how great and noble the person who killed you was must suck ass, and then she COMES BACK, and maybe Kuron wants to yell at her and make her feel guilty for what she did and he wants to look her in the face and tell her exactly what he thinks about her- but he CANT. beacuse she killed him, took his body from him, and she DOESNT REMEMBER.
i dont really know where i'm going with this, but. yeah. this whole situation propably sucks ass for both of them(maybe theyll never reconsile. Maybe they wont end up as friends. And that's okay!! its cool to think about tho)
Bestie, my friend, my dude, my guy, mere yaar, yOU HIT THE NAIL RIGHT ON THE SPOT!!!!
So much of post s8 au is people who could have understood one another but dont because of the trauma everyone has, and Allura and Kuron are prime examples of it.
Kuron is not happy with her at all and all this 'hero worship' around her just further exacerbates it cause she used his body to bring back Shiro. Didnt even care that they were friends, didnt even care that he was a person, didnt even care that he may have been still alive, just used his body to bring Shiro back. And he hates her for it and hates people treating her like a hero and would have let her know that she's the worst but what is the point of that? She isnt here is she? She's dead and gone and they couldnt even bring back a body to bury because nothing of her left. So really what is the point of hating a dead woman? He avoids anything and every thing to do with her, and just tries very hard not to think about her, no bad vibes here sir we are just chillin hahahaha 😎😎😎😎😎
.......and then she comes back! And oh boy. Kuron is not having a good time at all. He is still very much avoiding her. If she's in the room, he's leaving the room and if he cant than being extremely snide and just glaring at her. Like he truly does want to explode on her and many times came close as well, but than he just walks out and screams in a pillow.
Allura has no fucking clue what to do with him. She doesnt even know him, doesnt know what his problem is, and thinks he's annoying. Really annoying and rude and she knows when she isnt wanted. Like she has met some genuinely terrible people on her journey throughout multiverse and Kuron is definately much better than them but also?? He's a fucking cunt. Everyone else is on the edge around him but no one wants to talk about it. And fine! Whatever! It's not like she's curious about what the fuck is up with this guy, or why he's the only one who doesnt look at her and is either about to cry or look at her like she personally put stars in the sky. She has too many problems and doesnt have the time for some dude's hostility.
But like once she knows about the whole mind replacing thing? Either because she was told or because she remembered bits and pieces. She's going to feel so guilty about it! Like crushing guilt. She'll try to make it up to him but given that he doesnt want to talk to her and even if he did she is convinced he probably hates her and doesnt want to see hom so she just. Going down the guilt spiral. Along with everything else
And yeah I think Kuron can never forgive Allura just like how he can never forgive Shiro. But i also think they'll come to an understanding and realize that they are similar and learn how to live with their pasts without it consuming them.

can we hear your barbie thoughts?
okay heres just the copy paste from my letterboxd. (whew wee is it LONG)
i was so excited. that one is on me.
movie so so confusing. i thought i was in for like an absurdist comedy, but it was like forced feminist political commentary?? do NOT get me wrong on this one okay, i have seen so many people get torn to SHREDS for saying that they didn't like this movie bc they hate #girlpower. i am not one of those people. but idk abt u guys but i feel like its not that hard a concept to have a good female empowerment movie without just telling us straight in our faces that its female empowerment ALL. THE. TIME.. felt like i was being spoon fed with a forklift. theres this really cool special tactic called… subtlety.. wow its a crazy thing. they spent so much time shoving a message down my throat they.. forgot what it was.??? like they lost track of what they wanted to say like a million times over it was annoying. they said so much to mean so little. messaging so muddled the barbies literally interfered with a fucking government election and got away with it. they didn't want the kens to have any power so they took them away from the pink house and voted without them to put themselves back as the only leaders. the fuck barbie. i feel like the solution in barbieland was not to just fucking reinstall the matriarchy but instead work together as one to create an idyllic society where the barbies and the kens can live side by side without one towering over the other. the kens were not being horridly mistreated b4, but i understand wanting to be treated better. and i could have some mild sympathy for them, but as soon as they took over barbieland they just treated women like shit making them doing everything for them. and yes that is no good, but its interesting to me that the barbies did not take this as a lesson at all?? like they did not look back and really go, 'huh,, maybe you should ALSO have rights bc being seen and treated as inferior is not okay.' no they took it as an opportunity to shove more fucking glitter coated instagram infographic #positivity down my throat. i understand that this was kinda the point, to be like look! this is what its like and the 'just be yourself' solution means nothing in the end! just like the real world! but why would i want that? why would i want a backwards version of a fucking corrupt system that doesn't work? it doesn't work this way; flipping it, well guess what it still doesn't work. this is fucking barbieland, i WANT them to all be happy and equal in the end! i don't want to think about how awful everything is! its a fantasy world, why would you want to model it after the horrible deep sucking never ending vacuum into the black hole that is the real world? its my barbies and kens (and allen) and damnit i think that they should be happy. also side note, how tf did the kens brainwash the barbies??? like the fuck was that? to me that implies that the barbies also had the kens brain washed to be only accessories. like whoevers in power just has control over the other group? this movie makes everyone like a fucking monster.
can u believe i have more to say? turn back now bc i will never stop typing.
ummm kinda hated that random ass woman and her child? and i hate even more that i can refer to them as that. they were horridly bland fucking ONE dimensional characters. no personality, no real development, nothing. just a forced under-devloped mother daughter sub-plot that if my mother had seen would've cried and made me feel like it was my fault for growing up. (normal mom behavior or just me….??)
mattel, you fucking sleazy greased up wet RAT. you canOT,,, okay listen to me… CAN. NOT. make a movie like 'corporations bad! they dont hire women! rampant consumerism bad!!'. baby girl look in the mirror, its not funny, its not being 'self-aware', it makes me feel,, bad. like you can get away with anything bc you actually can. making literal cartoon goons of yourself as some sort of distraction from all of the very real major issues that are happening in the real world corporate mattel company is rancid. you can to be as 'self-aware' as you want but the bottom line is that you just flat out dont care. you won't change anything. trying to be funny about it makes me feel sick. you can't make capitalist consumerism the movie and try to be like 'yeah thats so bad right guys? you guys also hate corporations?! great!'. you cant have your cake and eat it too.
i liked allen. allen sweetheart baby girl darling dear honeybun beloved i'm so sorry the filmmakers hate you. dude literally had like 6 lines. justice for allen.
out of all the 'shameful' barbies i was actually most excited to see the inclusion of video cam barbie!!! i wanted that bitch soooo bad.
laughed a handful of times, as fucking painful as the depression barbie ad was i laughed really loud at the bbc pride and prejudice joke. i thought the godfather joke was also very funny. some of the doll jokes were funny, but its like okay guys this was low hanging fruit to begin with lets not repeat them like ten times over. the n-sync allen joke also got me. i know i laughed a bit in the theater… but as of right now i'm drawing a blank on standout jokes. that says smth huh?
i like the big ken dance number when they went to like abstract reality zone. that was good. now just remake this movie but like that. it needed to be more loose and fun, alter reality for a dance number! do that!! i want some goddamn old hollywood type of just nonsense sequences. the song was not good tho tbh.
costumes and set were… objectively very good! do NOT get me wrong. the team behind it is very talented and they did an awesome job! however. they went for more of a 'generic barbie' look for the barbies costumes and for barbieland. which to me ended up looking more haunting..? idk WHY but the lack of actual dolls just chilling around made the few real dolls stand out like sore thumbs. that and also it felt like edward scissorhands type of suburbia. complete pastel hellscape. the thought of living in a 'perfect' pink pastel world where everything is the same everyday forever and if ur slightly different you literally get banished forever is horrifying. wheres all the girl power huh?? what happened to women helping women??? nope, you look kind odd?? sorry we hate you forever.
the ending was also just a hot hot garbage fire. whhyyyy did barbie decide she no longer wanted to be a barbie……? i feel like i missed that part since we were so focused on ken. oh so its bc she saw just a fuckinh home video slideshow?? yeah okay whatever just roll credits so i can leave now pls. a gynecology joke. really?
feminist movies do need to be made. but why with barbie? she has never been a feminist icon. this isn't her domain. she's just barbie. and trying to attach real life feminist issues to a fucking plastic doll to be bought and sold, to be commodified doesn't sit right with me. shes not meant to be this complex guys, and i feel like they just completely fumbled on that. to me barbie is just there. you play dress up with her, take her on fun adventures, play with your friends, you don't pick up a barbie doll and go 'wow i would just love to have this woman be groped and then come to terms with the real world and its many problems'. thats stupid. i was in for a fun little roadtrip adventure movie with barbie and her friends. and this was just too much.
this movie was not fun and whimsical to me. it was drab, it was horrifying, it was depressing. i wanted to have a brief escape from reality, but instead i was faced with the same atrocities of everyday life but hot pink and glitter coated. which only added to the awful feeling of 'it will be this way forever.' it wasn't a silly movie about being a woman and what that means, it was a faux women power movie made by massive corporations trying to tell us that they are hip and relatable and that you should buy so much merchandise. it was just one big reminder that capitalism will live forever and it will only get worse because everyone just eats it up if its brightly colored.

If you're still looking for asks, what do you think about the implications of Johnny joining the Club?
I'm thinking primarily about the relationship ranking post (https://www.tumblr.com/paranaturalpop/643095896315281408/i-rate-your-pnat-ships-by-how-well-they-work-as?source=share) which talks about how "Firestorm" might be a potent source of antipathy towards Spender in the club.
getting to this one a few days late because i wanted to roll it around in my head for a bit before answering. I’ll sort this response into 3 sections: 1. The Implications, 2. That analysis post and Johnny’s/Isaac’s roles in it, and 3. If Johnny potentially joining the club and teaming up with Isaac could be a potential source of dunking/dethroning Spender.
1. The Implications Of Johnny In The Club
‘What do you think about the implications’ is a little vague, so I’ll try my best here and apologize if it’s not what you’re looking for. If you’re asking ‘do you think Johnny will join the club’, IIIII think that the likelihood of Johnny joining the AC are either A) completely nonexistent, or B) Going to happen but he’s going to be Johnny about it. As someone who is used to getting what he wants by pushing others around without considering the consequences, this is something Johnny would have no choice or control over. And he will hate that. Which could be an anti-establishment/authority thing, but i also think its something johnny ‘roughest toughest buffest kid in school’ jhonny would hate as someone used to giving orders, not taking them. He has a long way to go in that area. honestly? I dont think he’d join. Not willingly. He’s happy with his friends, why would he give that up to hang with the nerd brigade? So I’m hinging his involvement with the club to be either obligation or reliance. A mutually-beneficial understanding. He’s thrust into an entirely unique and terrifying situation very quickly, the club finds and gives him a way to recontextualize and control that situation. Johnny benefits because he gets to train his powers and navigate his new surroundings. The club benefits because johnny doesn’t burn the school down. Its tense but it works. ‘What do you think the consequences of Johnny joining the AC would be’ funny as hell.
2. Referring To The Foils Post
Okay so first thing is that op and I have differing viewpoints on how 8/10 of those dynamics would work and also generally what narrative foils are. Im a literary studies minor studying creative writing and editing so I’m gonna get really pretentious here. Op if u read this no hard feelings this is not 2 dunk on ur post. the concept of ship rankings by how the characters mirror each other is great. mwah.
Ok disclaimer out of the way- almost none of the pairings here are foils by definition. Op makes good points about how the characters work or would work, but a foil is more specific than ‘character whose strengths fill another’s weaknesses and vice versa’, a foil is used as a device to highlight characteristics of your (usually main) character! They give the hero something to react against in a way that highlights their main qualities. Here’s a cool article about it! In Paranatural the biggest (maybe only?) example is Max and Johnny. Throwing away my opinions on the ship for a second to just focus on the writing aspect and their existence as devices- johnnys introduction was like a textbook usage of foiling. Johnny like embodies Mayviews uncouth absurdity and full-throttle weirdness more than anyone else at the time of his introduction. He’s very friend-focused while Max tries harder to appear aloof. When put next to each other, Max’s sarcastic humor seems even more deadpan and Johnny’s eccentricity seems even more outlandish because they contrast so much: the extreme of one gives an opportunity for the extreme of the other to shine through. That is what a foil dynamic is.
Moving on while I don’t share the majority of the writing thoughts here, i do LOVE their “Johnny and Issac have equal and opposite philosophies. Johnny doesn't care about the greater good, he just cares about a small group of people who he loves. Issac cares about the greater good, but can’t connect with individuals and ends up hurting them” bullet point. That’s AWESOME. However I think that would make them NOT get along, rather than picking up each others slack. I think Isaac would find johnny a nuisance at best. Or maybe he would see the new ‘new kid’ and see it as a mentor opportunity, a kind of ‘ill make sure you dont go through what I did’ mentality except SUPER overbearing and with his anime coolguy hero mentality. Which I think Johnny would hate.
3. Spender Dethroning Potential
eeeeeeeeeeeeehhhhhh I don’t think so. I think individually they probably both don’t care much for spender, yeah, Isaacs got his whole Deal and Johnny wouldn’t care for him either. But I dont think They would be the key players in the group renouncing whatever faith is left in their teacher. I think that b-plot setup is sitting firmly on Isabels shoulders rn. Isaac and Johnny both having anti-spender spirit partners is a good point, but I don’t think it’d be something the two would particularly bond over. Or would act on just because its what their spirits want.
IMO I think johnny joining the AC is going to shake up a lot of things. I have like 10 different scenarios for how the interpersonal dynamics could turn out and where the differing developments could take the story. But I dont think Johnny is gonna make or break the club though. I think he’s just gonna be on fire (I hope hes gonna be on fire)

Jk is the DF, he awakened first and was able to accept his connection with more ease compared to his tf. Jk believes in fate and always believed he could possibly find that special person whom he would just know was made for him. There’s so much in his behavior since 2018 that shows he’s been longing for his tf even though during those years he had no idea what it was. Many emotions were mixed up. He has already crossed paths with his tf in 3D and that began his awakening to the tf connection. You can’t and won’t consciously know you have a tf until after meeting them in 3D only then will you be able to understand. This is how real tf connections work and tf are very very rare but since it became a trend online everyone is thinking they have one
More than a trend, it has also become extremely sensationalized, and its meaning has been mixed with the typical, heteronormative, amatonormative ideas of romance.I agree many people think they are going to meet their twin flame, because they are lonely and it is being sold to them as the remedy against loneliness, the "only love" which could "cure" them from it.
From the energy i get, his TF is also someone who believes in fate, the Lovers and Four of Wands come out quite a lot when i ask them about their view of the world, or it comes out naturally in their readings. I still dont agree on the DF/DM labels. There is literally no reason why from the outside we could tell someone lean into one or the other side. Also, if the energies really are fluid, then it makes no sense to say the "DF" is aware before the "DM", because these terms will be exchanged at one point or another of their lifetime. These terms are just labels we use because, as always, we have a hard time understanding relationships outside of a binary system.
When i ask, it is usually ambiguous wether they have met yet or not.
I also disagree on the "has to meet in 3D" part. It has not been the case for me,nor for at least a few people I know.Actually, from what I have read, there is at least two main ways to live this twin flame journey. There are the people who meet out of nowhere, which triggers a major growth, and which tends to end up in chaser/runner dynamics and to separate indefinitely. The other type experience yearning and awakenings before the meeting, and are usually familiar with the concept of twin flames upon meeting. These people tend to have an even harder life than the first ones. And when say harder, i mean much much harder.Traumas all around, repetitively. These people are a bit more likely to have permanent union.I INSIST, the purpose of twin flame journeys is NOT permanent union, it is growth and learning major lessons.Twin flames are a gift as much as they are poison, it is all on the dosage and your personal sensitivities.
Also, it's hard to call someone else experiences the " real" deal when it comes to tf journeys, knowing there is literally no way you would know it if you arent them ??Like you guys seem SOOOO confident about it, it seems like there is five people here who know JK's relationship more than himself.
Should i just make a post about TF so we can clear this up ?

"History is doomed to repeat itself". It always didnt sit right to me. Time to ask myself why and walk through my thoughts
The concept of time really confuses people (as it should), and any science fiction that is showing things like time travel arent really helpful.
Time is fluid in a sense, yes. But its important to note that while we are all stuck on a firey, warming hellscape known as colonizer Earth-- for all intents and purposes for the next 50 years on mortal, warming earth, time is extremely fixed +/- 1 second/yr nuance for really big heavy things on earth
When I'm talking about us mortals stuck on mortal earth-- No, I'm not talking about "Rich men shoot off to space and watch us from their ships" type people. Because 1) I dont count them as a real, feeling human beings while they dont treat me as one (fairness). Those people are monsters trying to abandon the poor in sake of something for only themselves. And 2) time will start behaving differently in space than on Earth, and those differences in technical maths can be a distraction for real Earth issues
What do I mean it can be a distraction? Well.. science that promotes ignorance & bliss under capitalism is mostly the science that gets propogated is what I'm saying. Like trying to convince people a wormhole 5ft wide could appear in front of them and watching people fail to understand time from that confusing, none realistic lens
Time is 1 second. If its been a minute thats an accumulation of 60 seconds. A year is ~525,600 minutes. 100 years is literally 50 million minutes. One after another and only in that direction. During that time, every single person on this Earth felt the effects of that minute the same we do today
There are a measurable, estimatable amount of collected minutes that this earth has been around. As hard as that is to grasp fully since it would be a DAMN lot of minutes. Imagine the 1990s cell bill Earth would get
Likewise, I get frustrated a lot by the mentality that "history repeats itself". I really think people confuse feedback-effect cycling with time accumulation effects and its not at all the same thing
Political idealogical cycles represent a feedback effect. It plays into my argument about "self-destructive vs self-promoting" behavior.
The place where time comes into the argument is only for the trendline of the cycle. This trendline, time, represents an accumulation of all collective learning which has ever happened in history.
Once a collective learns something, there is no going back on that science unless all the believers of it are murdered in cold blood by genociding colonizers
This is your friendly reminder that it is defeatest, self-destructive mentality to say "history is doomed to repeat itself".
Nope. You just love being a negative nelly who votes against progressive change and is observing the world devolving from those actions on a much smaller timeframe than human development has trended these social concepts exponentially upward
"Narrow minded" I guess is fitting here

16?
- 🌧️
i have already answered 16 for the positive one here . & i have been asked 2 answer it 2 more times after NSHSJDNDH so instead. i will answer 16 on the negative one & if i can think of another small detail in canon ill talk abt it. it's just hard 2 know whats a "small detail" & whats not
negative fandom ask game
you can't understand why so many people like this thing (characterization, trope, headcanon, etc)
i can't understand why everyone loves soulmate AUs.
that's a lie and exaggeration, i do get it to some extent. i understand that it's because the concept of having a "one true love" that will love you forever and ever is appealing & comforting 2 a lot of people. i respect & understand that.
but i fucking hate soulmate AUs.
for background: i am a relationship anarchist & a nonamorous romance + sex repulsed aroaceapl. i do not date, i do not have sex, i find romance & sex repulsive, i do not have queerplatonic relationships, i don't feel platonic attraction most of the time, i'm touch repulsed, i want to live alone; the idea of "dying alone" & "being alone forever" is the most appealing thought ever. & it's how i want my future to be.
SO. i find soulmate AUs to be the most horrifying & terrifying thing on the planet DNEHRKFNFJ
ignoring the fact that all soulmate aus are aphobic & actively ignore aspecs, the ones that do attempt to include aspecs tend to still exclude people.
"well you don't have to have a romantic soulmate! you can have a platonic one!" what about aplatonic folk? what about people who don't want to have friends?
& then its "well not everyone gets a soulmate!" what about aspex who DO want a soulmate? like genuinely what does that mean? how can you take in account every single unique sexuality & experience. i understa d that obvs soulmate aus r not trying 2 do thst but like. how does that work.
& you never ever see a soulmate au that takes in account aromantic allosexuals, because obviously having sex w/o feelings attached to it is evil & wrong. (HEAVY SARCASM!)
i do not want the universe/government/etc to pick who I get into a relationship with? who's the universe or the government or whoever tell ME who i can & can't date???
i think relationships need to be built and made and formed. I understand it's like "oh, but you have someone who is destined to love you forever", but it's like... i'd rather have someone who chooses to love me. not is forced to. someone who is willing to build a relationship with me & is choosing to love me.
i have wanted to write a soulmate au where a side (probably logan) actively ignores their soulmate & goes against the rules but i havent done it yet & i probably wont.
IDK I KNOW THIS IS ALL JUST SILLY BUT LIKE. HOW DO YOU GUYS FIND THAT ... APPEALING??? THAT WOULD BE TERRIFYING. if there was someone out there destined for me??? That i HAD to get into a relationship with whether i liked it or not???? whether it was my choice??? like ABSOLUTELY NOT. i don't want to be forced into a relationship just cuz the universe told me i should be. & i dont want to be forced into loving someone just because someone else told me I should be. that i had to love them because they loved me back!!! like this sounds like an abusive manipulative horror story waiting 2 be told (<- which now i def want to see. someone get on that. write a soulmate au where the persons soulmate uses it as an excuse to abuse & manipulate them & guilt trip them that'd be cool)
AND THEN SOMETIMES SOULMATE AUS HAVE THE MOST TERRIFYING SYMPTOMS EVER??? i saw one where you are constantly hearing your soulmates thoughrs. thats fucking terrifying. to never have a moment alone? to never have fucking privacy?? in ur own head? i saw a fic, which like no hate 2 the author it was beautifully written just so terrifying to me, where janus shares his thoughts w/ logan constantly & tells logan 2 "shut up so he can get work done" or whatever. LIKE WHAT DO YOU MEAN. WHERE AM I.
maybe its just cuz i was abused as a child & have been in an abusive relationship & im traumatisdd & its affected my way of living & entire life, but all i can hear when i see soulmate aus is how genuinely terrifying it would be if you were in an abusive relationship w/ a soulmate.
imagine have your thoughts always be read by your abuser. that no matter what happens, your abuser will always hear what you're thinking. you can't think of ways to escape or even begin to examine your relationship, because youe abuser will always be able to punch that down. & even if somehow you do escape, you will never bs free of them. thats fucking terrifying. & also a great metaphor for experiencing an abusive relationship & having ptsd after it can someone write that too. someone get on that.
if i shared my thoughts w/ my "soulmate" id probably actually kill myself i knkw thats a wild fucking thing 2 say out of no where but i am not joking. if i could never ever have a moments alone in my own head id actually be ending it right now. its almost 1 am can u tell i havent gotten sleep at all.
ANYWAY I HATE SOULMATE AUS. NUMBER ONE SOULMATE HATER !!!! ITS TERRIFYING & SO UNCOMFORTABLE 2 EVEN THINK ABOUT

even the common mentality on a leftist space like tumblr is still wayy too poisoned by the punitive/retributive justice mindset and obsessed with the idea of forgiveness (and atonement "taking responsibility/accountability") to my taste. 'arent you tired of watering down your opinons dont you just wanna say what you actually think' moment of me but yeah when i say im against punitive justice i mean it yknow.. i mean it so hard in many facets. im gonna be fr the concept itself of "forgiveness" doesnt make sense to me. i dont understand it. it doesnt exist in my view of the world. it sounds ridiculous to me bc it's so irrelevant. like who caaaares. not me.
obviously 'prison abolition' here is this phenomenon where a lot of ppl just kind of repeat the opinions of others bc the get the vibe it's the morally correct and non reprehensible one, without actually understanding it themselves and therefore being incapable of actually agreeing.
i could connect this mindset to individualism and the concept of "owing" people itself (instead of just helping each other out..) and dehumanization and black & white morality. there is no need to prove that punitive justice does not work it's been done and consistently keeps being done but people still use its same internal logic without realizing what it is. constructive justice (or whatever it's called when the person who did wrong is accompanied) is where it's at. morally and objectively it just is what works. ive always thought (without putting my finger on the why & how, and was discouraged to share this opinion by seeing how ppl on here do not seem to agree and would call it ' and now understand that i was and still am right, that if someone is truly sorry then that's the end of it. it implies youre in agreement so literally where is the problem. who they are now is on the same page as you; just look at the current situation and work together it's not that hard.
like. when the "revenge is bad" trope is too often done wrong as "just be okay with this shitty person who has harmed and is still harming" then yeah it's frustrating but the key is not revenge here it's harm being done. that's why the trope is done wrong. now people are stupidly and confusingly as always veering hard in the opposite direction and just unironically being like yay retributive justice is great im all for the cycle of violence and coating it all up in progressive speech oblivious to the implications fuck you for real
