Listening to Ep 8, I cannot help but extrapolate on the repeated references to both hunger and loneliness and make inferences as to what it might mean about the nature of whatever Entity is enacting its will upon this Brutalist Liminal space and Mr. Stevens during his tenure working within said.

Thoughts:

1. Human beings share meals & eat together as a communal activity, and have done so throughout history. The connection between physical hunger and social isolation is not a reach.

2. Mr. Stevens is a middle-aged divorcee, and thus likely a prime target for the Forsaken. Liminal spaces and the “repetitive geometric shapes” mentioned in his discussion of Brutalism are immediately evocative of the Spiral. But as the Fears have been altered by their journey across Universes, we can surmise that whatever Entity suffers from this “architectural hunger” Stevens is sensing, it is not as simple as a place that blurs the line between those two fears.

3. Mr. Stevens’ successive discussions of the “overdevelopment of UK road infrastructure” and the permeation of trash deposited throughout Forton strongly evokes the memory of Extinction statements from TMA.

i’ve done it but my thing is that it HAS to be in character. if it’s not something the character has already said they spoke another language it’s fine but if they don’t it’s ooc and i don’t like it.

Im dumping some of the old art and the few remakes I made. Yes, I am also into Minecraft and BATIM, and I used to be a mineimator artist through out those years before stopping completely with 3D minecraft animations after graduating. I love the energy and all and I don’t want to offend but as a Muslim girl i can tell you that it is literally haram to identify as anything other than your god given gender. Like I’m not trying to be rude and I’m glad that there a respectful supportive people out there but if you’re looking at the Quran and other islamic book you’ll find stories about how its considered haram. Accepting the islam religion means accepting everything and dedicating yourself to it you can’t just pick and choose.

I'm just honestly so invested in this storyyyyyy. It's so well written and genuinely interesting. You're such a good writer. The way you say so much with so little dialogue. I am in awe at your skills, truly.

Oh god! No reason to apologize at all, I'm so glad you got sleep, that shit's like... super important!! Thank you for coming back and continuing the conversation, that's so sweet!! Okay, but onto your questions:

This definitely gets addressed in either part 3 (edit: posted just recently!). In part 4 or after, we may also get reader's parents' take on the whole scenario. Can't keep your personal life very secret in a small town, it seems.

That part's already done, actually, and while I feel like I struggled a bit to capture the kids in fully robust 3D, I also recognize that this is reader's first time interacting with them and First Impressions are a thing. They may pop up more in later parts, I haven't totally settled that one yet. (I’ll give you this much, reader definitely likes at least some of them.)

The heating was just a funny little quirk that I added in the beginning when it was all only going to be one part. It was a like, a throwaway one-liner I had tossed in just to add some depth to the character? But now I'm thinking it's probably something they should get looked at before they leave Hawkins.

I will just go ahead and put out there that I fully 100% invest in the concept of queer Eddie Munson. The personal interpretation of that queerness is up to any one person and how they see it, and I'm not here to police anyone else's perspectives on that. I, however, do interpret him as somewhere on the Bi/Pan side of things. (As a bisexual woman, this could just be me projecting.) Strictly speaking, this isn't relevant to the plot, but you kind of hinted at it with your question and I just wanted to take a second to talk about it. Anyway, my plan is definitely to get a little bit more into how Eddie spent the months reader was gone, but I'm not totally certain when that'll happen.

That's the big question, isn't it? Can't provide much by way of specifics here without big spoilers.

Unfortunately, I also can't give a whole lot away on this one because... I mean, y'know. Have to keep you hooked somehow. But I do plan on at least kind of answering this before I wrap the entirety of TtDS up!

Midnights Tour Dream Setlist

(Operating on the assumption that there will be a tour, and that it will be Midnights focused... not sure why it wouldn’t be if there it existed, but you never know, with all the new music Taylor has put out in the last 3 years)

As far as I can tell, her setlists range from 16-19 songs, and given that her success has risen quite substantially since reputation, and the fact that there are 3 other albums since then which won’t get their own tours, I can see her possibly having one or two extra songs added to the 19 for reputation. That said, I know nothing about the planning of big tours and the logistics involved. bonus points if those 2 extra songs are done for an encore - why hasn’t she done those since Speak Now???

Here comes the clownery...

Probably one song from the album tracklist will be left out (as was the case with both 1989 and reputation), so that makes 13 songs from the Midnights Deluxe.

That leaves us with 6, potentially 8 extra songs for her to play. Especially since most of the songs on Midnights will be on the shorter side due to the standard edition being only 1LP, I am leaning towards 8.

Given her extensive discography, I can see her doing mashups of older songs, like she did several times on rep. We’ll probably see Love Story and/or WANEGBT in this capacity. Not sure about any music from albums she hasn’t re recorded, mainly because of the fact there are so many other songs she’s released that haven’t ever been performed, and it helps to eliminate some of her discography right off the bat

I would love to see Cruel Summer. I think she knows by now that this fandom is dying to have a live performance of Cruel Summer, and even just imagining  seeing it live gives me goosebumps. I would be very surprised if it wasn’t included.

I have a feeling that we could get ME! or YNTCD, maybe a mashup of the two to save a slot, and also given that those are singles but not very well received ones

There’s got to be at least one folklore and evermore song each. My first thought for those would be cardigan and willow, again because they are singles, but maybe she does a mashup of those as well, like at the Grammys?

She’ll almost definitely have a surprise song slot again, to be able to perform more songs from folkmore

And here’s where my predictions start really moving into dream territory...

If I could have 1 more song from both albums, though I’m not sure the likelihood of this, I would literally lay down and die if she played champagne problems. I think the whole audience would simply perish and she would watch on and smile. evilly. I can also very much see her playing august though, and that would be so fun

IBYTAM got a music video and was basically a single from Red (Taylor’s Version). If we get any vault songs (other than ATW10, which i’ll talk about in a sec), I would LOVE to hear this live. Absolutely iconic.

I can see her playing Mr. Perfectly Fine, since I think that did well with the GP and definitely did well with fans, and I personally would love to see that live

I keep going back and forth on whether I think she’ll do ATW10, since it’s so long, but then again it would do perfectly for a time killer in between sets. just picture this: just her on guitar, the whole stadium screaming the lyrics at the top of their lungs... maybe waving light up wristbands... sounds pretty fucking magical

Here’s where I get really greedy... I recently went to the Gorillaz on tour. They’ve got a lot of albums and a lot of music to choose from. Their setlist was 28 songs, which averages out to be 4 hours long (omfg). Florence + the Machine’s average setlist for Dance Fever is 23 songs, and she’s got 5 or so albums out. All this to say... if i could choose even MORE songs for her to perform...

I would LOVE The Very First Night, False God, Paper Rings, Death by a Thousand Cuts, Daylight, even Message in A Bottle, which, in terms of vault tracks, has probably the more of a chance compared to TVFN, considering the promotion its gotten in movies like Superpets, and I’ve heard it several times in retail stores (including my work yay)

Wanna One as Construction Workers

* Idek I was thinking about Sungwoon and this came up. I thought about everything in my head while my mother and I were going to Rite-Aid. Idk I hope you like it?

Jisung

The boss

Gathering everyone in a group hug first thing in the morning

Probably plays slow chill music in the morning when everyone is starting off their daily duties (IDK OKAY) 

Constantly trying to make sure everything is done before the deadline

Doesn’t understand why he was stuck with the crew he’s with

Literally has to keep an eye on everyone

Buys them food after a long and hard day of work

“Jisung this is why you are the Boss” - Daniel while stuffing kimbap in his mouth

Always the last one to leave to make sure all his crew is alright :’)

“Guanlin you can’t stand in the middle of the construction zone” 

Kinda wants to do the work himself because the others play around too much

Shouldn’t but picks up the slack

When he isn’t yelling and nagging at the others he’s known to do this thing where he just sits there staring off to space

“Maybe he’s wondering where we hid his trailer keys?” -Ongniel :’)

Eats his lunch alone so he can look after the rest of the crew from afar

His mom brings his lunch and he loves it. 

Home cooked meals for lunch break

Also another reason why he eats alone

Continiously saying 

“Where the hell is Daehwi and Jinyoung?!”

Does his work well

Only when Ong isn’t partnered up with him or when Ong comes around

The one that takes off his work attire to reveal himself in a white wife beater

Daniel brings the girls to the construction zone~

After the first couple of times he ended up bringing cat food and treats with him to work

Comes into work with Starbucks frap in one hand and a chocolate croissant in the other

Makes sure to bring one to Jihoon in the morning

Asks his mom to make another lunch box for Jihoon

Gets upset that Jihoon has girls offering him lunch too 

Wonders around the construction site most of the time 

You’ll constantly hear “Guanlin you can’t stand in the middle of the construction zone” 

Can’t find Daehwi because MISSING

Sometimes he just sits near Jihoon and watch him work and fool around 

It’s more entertaining than filing paper work with Minhyun and Jisung

The one that constantly asks Jisung for money because he’s hungry and ate all what his mom packed him.

Been avoiding tumblr all day because I just now watched the finale and AWWWWWWWW

4. Kinda liked the whole amnesia thing? Idk I felt like it was Gorya’s opportunity to actually fight for Thyme and be persistent about it and she finally did it. I know she loves him just as much but it’s nice to see her show her willingness to do whatever it takes.

5. Her family is so dumb istg why can’t they do anything right? Especially her dad this dude stresses me out poor teen carrying the whole family on her back.

6. Bright’s English. That is all.

7. The story of Iris sucked as usual but I guess it’s fine? Idk

8. 2K deserved more camera time but I guess TxG needed to work out a lot of stuff so they took priority. It was clever to sneak in that sleeping Kaning scene to show that they’re still together.

9. The sneak Gorya in Thyme’s house? The surprise prom? Literally F4 are kings of planning and scheming, as opposed to Thyme who is the absolute worst. Let’s recap his greatest hits:

1. Kidnap Gorya x2

2. Fake bus ride (not even sure what the goal was here tbh)

3. Plan Gorya a surprise party and make her set it up.

4. Give Hanna a red card just to talk to Gorya.

5. Pretend to do laundry himself to impress her?

10. Evil Thyme wearing animal print and sweet Thyme wearing anything but is so on point with the symbolism I love it.

11. Tia can smack me and I’d thank her.

12. The maids taking down the guards? GOLD.

13. Thyme’s memory being jotted back every time Gorya fights him? Iconic.

14. Admitting the accidental kiss was his first kiss? I’d take that to the grave with me amnesia or not he’s gotta know better.
