I made part two to the Gareth story! Also this is 1st person this time (I, Me, My) next might be in you, your, and that kind of stuff

Part two

Okay, I made this because I thought it was cute but I got a request for a part two, I was going to make it anyway. But I just felt like I should get started now. And this one is longer than the first one, I think.

Warning: Blood, kissing, cussing, fluff, small abuse, injuries, fighting, comfort, and some harassment (somewhat) that may be it but I'm really not too bright so I have forgotten some stuff

I picked my head up, tired and drowsy. Finding Gareth in my lap, my hand on his head, bundled in his hair. He was beautiful, and I enjoy his company. His clock on the wall dinged. 7 o'clock, my dad's going to beat the living hell out of me. But I could stay a bit longer, right? I rubbed Gareth's head softly, for maybe 5-10 minutes. Then stood up, softly moving him off of me, and he let out a small groan. "Huh? Where are you going, Sweetheart?" He said picking his head up drowsily and blinked a few times. "Nowhere, go back to sleep" I said rubbing his back, sitting next to him as he drifted back into his sleep.

Sunday, 1984 9:30 AM

I'm so dead meat at home, but the house smelled nice. I had made breakfast, waffles, side of bacon and eggs and some lovely coffee for me and grabbed a Dr. Pepper for "Gareth The Great". Even though Gareth made sure I never did his house work, I had already cleaned the dishes, bathroom, his room, done the clothes and cleaned the kitchen and living room.

Gareth had started stirring around, he got up from the couch, house was clean and breakfast was on the table. "Y/N, did you do this? The house? And some food?" He said walking up behind me, wrapping his arms around my waist, he was shirtless and good God was he hot. The way he said he was always cold, but his body was so warm, he eyes were gentle, and I could feel his soft abs through my shirt. I nodded while washing the remaining dishes. "I told you four billion times that you do not clean here, I do. Got it?" He said, his morning voice was raspy and quite deep. Definitely a turn on for most people, I was most people yet I wasn't in the 'mood'. I groaned and turned around, now facing him. "But you don't clean like I do! Plus your house can get quite dirty sometimes, which isn't too pleasant when HellFire is over. And then you've got your shirts in the floor issue. I'm sorry babe but I refuse to le-" He cut me off, and with a long, yet sweet kiss. Which obviously melted my heart and I wrapped my arms around his neck. "I love you, but shut up" "Awww you love me?" "No, I think you're a horrible being." It came out so fast like he was certain. He said it so flatly. Did he mean it? "Of course I love you! And don't ever think otherwise, got it Sweetheart?" Sweetheart. The name that made me melt like butter. I nodded and swiped a kiss before running out the door yelling out. "Love you too, eat your food I'm running home!" And I was infact running home, I need to face your dad.

It has been atleast half an hour, I have never realized how far I lived, and I actually lived 30 minutes away from Gareth, and that was driving! Maybe I should have had Gareth drive me home, my current location wasn't even halfway home right now. Which I have to admit, sucks. As I arrived in town I heard the large clock ding, 11:00. Amazing, Dad wanted me home sooner but here I am, dying in this heat, sweating, and not to mention I already tripped four times. Maybe long bell-bottoms weren't the way to go. I just kept walking, and heard a car horn behind me. I turned around to see a older man. Okay he was like early 30's, so older than me. "Hey pretty lady, come on in my car. It'll cost you though." Ew. This old man was trying to get me to come home with him. Not to mention I was only 14. Minor safety at it's peak, how lovely. I turned around and began walking again, but someone grabbed my wrist. "I said. Get in the car." "What!? Ew! No!" "Get. In. The. Car."

The next thing I knew he was on the ground. And holy shit, your peaceful Gareth was beating him into the concrete. His hands were bloody, and the man had gotten up and threw your boyfriend onto the ground hitting the mess out of him. You needed to do something, and fast. "Get off of him!" You screamed, trying to pull the man off, yet he just threw you into his van door, you head slammed into it, knocked out. You awoke not much longer, maybe a minute later. Gareth was against the wall, his face was bloody, so were his hands, his clothes, his hair wasn't very fluffy anymore, he had cuts all over him, bruises, possible black eye and it looked like the list went on. You stood up, wincing. Killer headache, great. You saw a metal pole, this would help you out right now, eh? You picked it up, okay your boyfriend is getting he blood beat out of him, but suddenly Gareth had thrown him into the wall, and was messing this man's face up. Was it even the same creep? It was back and forth, man beat Gareth, Gareth beat man. You ran up behind the man, POW. You had just knocked this dude out with a pole. He fell to the ground, your eyes and Gareth's followed his back to the ground, then looked at each other quickly. "Y/N! You- you just knocked him out with that? Nevermind that, are you okay? Come here!" He said pulling you into his arms then grabbing you face looking you over. "Your head! It's... Well it's bleeding!" He cared way too much. "My head's fine, you don't look too sharp. Y-your face, and your arms, you look like you just got out of a meat grinder. Are YOU okay?" I said just above a whisper, cupping his face gently. "I'm fine, just go get in the car. Please?" (Yes, he drives illegally) His eyes were too much to say no to. I kissed his forehead and went to the car, looking at my hands as I sat down. It was a few minutes later before Gareth got in the car, but he got blood pretty much everywhere. "What took you so long?" "Just had to take a breather"

What really happened:

"Listen here, you touch her again. You won't be so lucky. You're just glad she was here, or I'd be in jail for murder. Got it, Creep?" Gareth had the man by his collar, pinned to the wall. The man nodded quickly and scrambled away.

We pulled up at my driveway and I got out, Gareth was about to drive away when I made him get out too. "Get inside this house so I can clean you up. Or I will just have to leave you." That was enough for him to get out. "I'll distract my dad, and you run to my room" "What?" "Just do it"

I walked through the door, and found my dad asleep on the couch, and motioned for Gareth to go. Which he did, I never saw him run so slow though. "Look what the dog dragged in" My dad said, grabbing my arm. "You're pretty late, don't you think so?" I kept my eyes of the ground, but looked up to see Gareth watching from a corner. I flashed a warm, comforting smile. I knew he'd do something if my dad decided to do anything, but Gareth wasn't in the condition to do anything. Yet sure enough my dear ol' dad was drunk. He practically threw me into our fireplace, tossing his glass bottle at me. Which busted, cutting me up. And I was unfazed, this was normal, I'd grown used to it, but I saw the fear, worry, and anger in Gareth's eye.

While my ever so loving father laughed, Gareth was marching up to him, throwing the hardest punch I'd ever seen. When did he get THAT strong? He was definitely out cold. He grabbed my wrist and dragged me to my room, slamming and locking my door. "No." He said flatly. "No? What did I do?" "It's not you, it's him. Pack your stuff, you're moving in with me." "What? No it's fine. Just sit down Babe. You can't take much more of this. Let me clean you up atleast." I sat down on my bed, and looked at me, he sat down as well. "Im not taking no for a answer, you can get me cleaned up, as long as you move in with me." He played that card, and I wasn't going to let him leave my house without being treated. "Fine, just come on." I said dragging him to the bathroom.

"Hold still!" I yelled at him, sitting in his lap, cleaning the cut on his face. "You shouldn't have done that" I whispered to him. "Oh but I did. Both of the times. That creep was looking at you. And the man who helped you into this world could have took you out" He said swiping a kiss and smiling. He's just like a little kid. "Alright, get in the shower, you've still got blood on you. I'll find some clothes I stole- I mean you left here." "Yea... 'left' here " He said smiling as I got off him and leaving. I walked back in while he had just got undressed, my jaw dropped and I closed my eyes. "It's called a lock!" "Oh come on Sweetheart, it's nothing you haven't seen before!" "Shut up! Just take your clothes!" I was bright red, practically a tomato. "You're not getting in with me?" "Umm no! You told me to get packing so I best hop to it!" I said making my way out of the bathroom and back into my room, hearing him yell dramatically. "Why must you do thissssss!"

I let out a light chuckle and grabbed a bag, or two, or three. Okay maybe six bags, but they had important stuff going to be put in them. You got to work grabbing the best clothes then the rest, chucking them in a bag. Then you moved to makeup, then the hair supplies, and finally the stuff that hit home, like a picture of you and your mom when you were a small kid. And your first stuffed animal, or your favorite blanket. Which was your baby blanket 'Maddie' as you called it. "Y/N, you almost done?" "Huh? Oh, yes! Just a fe-" you were interrupted by a loud clatter under your bed. Your head, as well as Gareth's whipped to look, you knew what it was but your boyfriend didn't and he looked suspicious. He walked slowly over, and you ran and slid on your knees, reaching under the bed, pulling out your grey and white kitten. "Timmy!" You yelled out.

"Timmy?" "Timmy!" "Timmy." "Timmy!"

"That's a Timmy?" He questioned. "Yea, turns out she's a girl but we already had a name picked out." "We?" He stared blankly at you. "Me and Robin of course! Wait can he come? Please? My dad won't feed her. But I will, you won't even know she's there!" He pinched the bridge of his nose. "Fine fine fine. I'll talk to my mom." "Thank you so so so SO much! Here just pet her!" You said holding Timmy out. "No thanks I'm good" "Please?" You said, big puppy dog eyes and he knew he wasn't going to win this one. "Fine" He said grabbing the cat, petting her softly and she was starting to purr. "She's okay I guess"

The kitten jumped off him, and a few seconds later and I jumped in Gareth's lap, shoving him onto his back on the bed. He winced. I hurt him. I quickly scrambled off him, not wanting to further hurt him. "I- I'm sorry. I didn't mean to hurt you! I... I just... I didn't mean to, it was an accident! I'm sorry I don't know what got into me, I knew you were hurt yet I sti-" He pulled me into his arms, and kissed me, pulling me in tighter, I could almost feel the pain he was going through, just to kiss me. "You uhh... You ramble. A lot" He said breaking the kiss, and holding me close but held his side with one hand. Hoping I wouldn't notice, but I did. "Hey? Are you okay?" I said moving his hand, and lifting his shirt. Instant horror shot across my face. "Babe, I'm going to be right back." He had a horrible gash on his side, like he was slammed into something then they ripped his skin.

After I finally got him cleaned up, he was perky already, nagging me to finish getting my stuff together. He grabbed all my bags, despite all my protests. "Just grab the kitten, Sweetheart."

Monday, 1986 11:53 AM

It had been 3 years since I moved in with him. And his best friend was dead, Eddie was gone. Gareth became the DM of HellFire, but he claims it wasn't the same. Not without Eddie. So he became slightly depressed, and joined the gang to help kill Vecna. And he was quite shocked to hear everything that went on in Hawkins.

I'll let everyone sit on that for a bit, this part was longer than the last and I'm glad I could write it so fast. Part three should be out by the 26th. Excited for anyone to read!

Wednesday evening [January 18, 1950] Darling, I received your letter this morning from Monday. It reassured me about your condition and I am glad to know that you will no longer have the excuse of the letter. I looked in my diary for the "appointment" that I did not specify. It was either Boulez who came to bring me a piece to read, or a certain Mr. Montalais who came to bring me a piece to read. Not the same! In any case, both of them are young, beautiful, generous, intelligent, gentle, charming, just the way I like them. If I were you, I wouldn't trust them. Beta! I too eat like a little brute. I'm getting fat. I'm sad you don't have Kim anymore. This letter is so stupid. I have a lot to tell you, but believe me, tonight I'm trying hard to keep my eyes open, and tomorrow I'll write more clearly. Tonight I'd like to have you here and snuggle up with you. Classical Music for Halloween - from Halidon Music

Idk if this is Halloween per se, as it’s more dark autumnal vibes than spoopy. Like most of their videos, it’s 2.5 hours long. (I often find 3-6 hour mixes, rarely anything around 1-hour or less.) Lots of very good tunes, including a lot of stuff I love.

There’s a few that bug me. Gershwin’s prelude andante whatever is too modern-jazzy to me. (I first heard it played on hammered dulcimer, and it sounds even worse to me there.) Tired of “A Night on Bald Mountain”, especially for Halloween mixes. It’s good, but it’s overplayed.

I liked seeing “Palladio” by Karl Jenkins, aka the diamond song. The opening track stole my heart, showing this would be a good mix of stuff that��s not over-played. It feels like a prime example of what I expect from a “dark academia” mix. Really, a lot of this stuff is “new” to me, or at least something I’ve only heard in recent years.

It only took about half an hour to realize I wanted to share this mix.

Very tight, I get a lot more compression out of it than I did with my gc2b binders when they were brand new

Kinda difficult to breath in, I see what people mean now when they say it can get kinda hard to breath in your binder

I don’t feel like my breasts will move very much? It’s definetly something I would wear a thin tank top under to protect my skin but my tits were not moving

Overall, achieved what I wanted. I’d heard that Underworks binders work better for people with bigger chests, and I decided to experiment because I need new binders. Definitely keeping my gc2b binders for travel and comfort, but my Underworks binders are probably going to be my day to day.

A short lil thing for dessert duo in an Indiana Jones AU, with Double Life mechanics lol. Warnings for a broken bone, but nothing else

Grian was minding his own bloody business when his rib cracked.

He doubled over, books and papers spilling out of his hands with a strangled "SCAR!!"

There was no secondary explanation. Scar had, obviously, started some new dumb adventure in the time between breakfast that morning and when he was meant to be coming home. And as per usual, he'd gotten hurt. And also as per usual, he'd forgotten his soulmate at home.

He picked himself back up, hissing at the pain. It was a good thing he kept healing potions stashed about the house for exactly this (very common) scenario. And then it was to the maps and his usual contacts to track him down. As per usual.

He sat down in his chair and grabbed the potion he'd tucked under the table. Jellie jumped up as he drank it, wincing as the rib set itself back into place. He gave the cat a very exasperated look. "Are you as tired of this as I am?"

Jellie blinked at him, slow and deliberate. She reached out a paw, oh so delicately. And she slammed it, claws out, on one of his maps.

He peered around her paw. "Of course he's in Siberia." He mumbled to himself. Jellie had a built in compass to where Scar was, or something similar, because she hadn't been wrong in the entire time he'd known the two of them. And Scar tore off by himself more times than Grian liked to think about.

He stood up. "Best get packing, eh?" He asked, almost bemused. "I wonder who's chasing him this time.

It's a really, really old one (like, uh, 2018, so maybe no that old but still old enough - old enough it's written in french, actually) I got like, 3 time travel WIP for FMA and it's one of those :')

It was probably inspired by another FMA fic that I can't remember the name tbh.

Basically, the promised day goes wrong, Hohenheim had an emergency circle just in case that can send someone who has seen the Gate, back to the first time they've seen it. The reason he hasn't used it is very much because he is human and couldn't bear it himself (sure he could defeat the Dwarf so much earlier, but he is tired), Mustang can't because it's not early enough to change anything, which leaves Ed (or Izumi) - but I went with Ed because it's funnier.

The price he pays is that he cannot communicate (in any way) about the future/why he is doing certain things. So he just goes around solving stuff without explaining anything to anyone.

It's half crack and half very heavy, one day I'll revisit it and actually plan it more.

Have so very few writing I got in english because I'm too lazy to translate anything.

It surprise Hawkeye how good he already is to all the military official stuff. Even if he never used that knowledge, except on a few exceptional events, he had to learn it because it is part of being in the military, an active State Alchemist. She asks him, if he learnt from someone else before. He invent some bogus story, of being a genius, of having seen it before and remembered, of a game played between him and his brother.

He wish he could tell her, you already taught me all I need to know, and everything you told me helped me more than you could ever believe.

(She probably knows he's lying, but she just shrug it off and think, if he doesn't wish to tell me, I am no one to force the truth from him. It doesn’t stop her from reporting it to Mustang, on her report on how Edward is adapting to the military.) --

Ed sighed. « He's not a bad man. He's just a shitty father, thought he was a monster and that he had to leave the house so he could save the world. »

Quand le lieutenant-colonel Roy Mustang reçut l’information que deux alchimistes de talents, de 30 et 31 ans, vivaient à Resembool, il ne s’attendait pas à grand-chose. Probablement deux hommes qui utilisent l’alchimie pour réparer et aider dans le village, des transmutations basiques qui apparaissent comme exceptionnelles pour ceux qui n’y connaissent pas grand-chose, et comme d’ordinaire dans les villages des campagnes, ils détestent l’armée.

Quand on lui dit que les frères Elrics ont actuellement 10 et 11 ans, il est surpris. Après tout, pour que des enfants aussi jeunes arrivent à faire parler d’eux au point que l’armée s’intéresse, il y a peut-être matière à travailler (et, si il est celui capable de recruter deux jeunes talents, cela ne peut qu’être bon pour son dossier, et un pas de plus vers son but.)

Quand il arrive à leur domicile, vide et déserté, et qu’il y voit le cercle de transmutation et tout ce sang, il est furieux. Furieux qu’ils aient tenté de briser l’interdit, furieux que quelqu’un les as laissé faire, que personne ne les as empêché. Mais quand il arrive chez les Rockbells, il est plus que surpris par ce qu’il y voit. Un gamin, bras droit et jambe gauche absents, bandés de manière clairement récente, probablement un des freres Elrics supply his mind, assis dehors et entourés de livres. A ses côtés, une armure géante qui monte la garde.

Il le fixe, choqué. Hawkeye, toujours fidèle, ne dit rien à ses côtés. Sous le poids de son regard, l’enfant lève la tête et le regarde droit dans les yeux. Roy Mustang ne savait vraiment pas à quoi s’attendre en recevant l’information concernant les alchimistes prodiges de Resembool, mais il ne s’attendait clairement pas à trouver un gamin estropié avec une telle fougue dans le regard. Il ne s’y attendait pas, mais il sut, à cet instant, qu’il avait bien fait de se déplacer.

Cat’s Not-All-Encompassing Character Ranking

Okay, so I have to admit that I omitted a lot of characters I don't have strong opinions on. Most of them were one-off akumas, so don't get your panties in a twist, your faves are probably still on here (and ranked lower than you think).

As a preface again, these are just my personal opinions. They can't hurt you. You can still like characters more or less than me. And I don't care how you feel about them. This list is for me. And the person that asked for it. So shut up. Go make your own rank list if you’re so butthurt.

We're going in reverse order this time, starting from the bottom:

84. Gabriel Agreste- I mean, is anyone surprised? I am not private about how I think Gabriel should go to jail. Or fall off a cliff. Or be erased from existence. Rip to those that like him, but I’m different.

83. Thomas Astruc- Honestly, he’s down here on principle. Self-inserts are generally a no-no, and I just laugh every time I see him on screen because he really put himself in this show and said boohoo no one appreciates me XD

82. Bob Roth- I feel like this one should also be obvious. He’s just a dick. Terrible human. I give him 0 stars.

81. Tomoe Tsurugi- We all collectively hate her, right? It’s not just me?

80. Su Han- This mans has small peepee energy. And he bad mouthed Fu, so get FUCKED, my dude.

2. What’s your total AO3 word count?

3. How many fandoms have you written for and what are they?

14, Jesus. Bridgerton, MCU (counting AOS and Agent Carter separately from the rest of the MCU since that’s what the MCU appears to have decided, the traitors), To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before, Game of Thrones, Girl Meets World, Glee, Angels in America, Chronicles of Narnia, Aida (musical), Percy Jackson, Les Mis, Downton Abbey, and Mortal Instruments.

I think someone just needs to take AO3 away from me at this point.

5. Do you respond to comments, why or why not?

I didn’t always used to, but I do now. I’ve always treasured every comment, but by responding I’ve had to work on accepting praise and human interaction, two of my biggest weaknesses. Plus it helps me feel more connected to you all which I love.

6. What’s the fic you’ve written with the angstiest ending?

I’m shit at angst which is why I’ve avoided writing it as much as possible in recent years--maybe it’s like some kind of clarity is the angstiest ending? But tragically, my AO3 account is old and can attest to fics that technically meet this. So it would actually probably be 1989 or Time That Just Went Away.

7. Do you write crossovers? If so, what is the craziest one you’ve written?

No, I don’t.

8. Have you ever received hate on a fic?

Not that I can recall.

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

Bad smut is what I write. I’ve dipped my toe into the water this past year and it’s all utter trash. All of you who read it without cringing are saints.

10. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Not to my knowledge.

11. Have you ever had a fic translated?

No, but my fic bully coward victim has a podfic which is super cool!

12. Have you ever co-written a fic before?

No. It sounds fun but I would be a nightmare to work with tbh.

13. What’s your all-time favourite ship?

Ah, no, this is too hard! I love enemies to lovers and will leave it there.

14. What’s a WIP that you want to finish but don’t think you ever will?

Every Right Thing (Will Find Its Right Place). I think I am firmly past my Glee phase (which is for the best tbh) and as much as I loved Quinn and Puck back in the day and I did love this fic, I’m not sure it will ever be completed. But never say never!

15. What are your writing strengths?

Dialogue. I’m a theater major and while I started writing fiction first, I also write a lot of scripts. I often will build scenes or even full chapters around a dialogue exchange.

16. What are your writing weaknesses?

Plotting and editing. I’m getting better at exposition and voice but there’s still more I need to work on there.

17. What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic?

I speak French pretty well (not technically fluent but I’ve been studying it for a long time so I’m pretty close) and have always wanted to write a story where I can use it. But I haven’t quite nailed down how best to do that for non-French speakers to know what’s going on. If anybody has a good system for translating dialogue hit me up!

18. What was the first fandom you wrote for?

Um, I think it was Mortal Instruments back in like 2013/2014 but I also feel like it could’ve been the Warrior Cat books? I read, and then wrote, fanfic for a few years before I started publishing, first on FF.net, then FF and AO3, and now pretty much exclusively AO3. The first story I ever published was for Glee.

19. What’s your favourite fic you’ve written?

Oh, okay. Um...I really love The Dreams We Might Have Missed. This is an Unpopular Opinion (as it should be) but something about it always makes me really happy.

Virgil smiled as he walked to Janus’ house. It was a really pretty day today, and Virgil had wanted to get some exercise in today. So here he was, walking through the streets on his way to Janus’. It was a Thursday morning in late January, so almost everyone was at work right now. Suddenly, Virgil got a text from Remus.

Re- (10:28 AM) Stop at a cafe and get us some coffee. Didn’t realize we ran out yesterday

V- (10:28 AM) I’m not your intern, get your own damn coffee

Re- (10:28 AM) Pretty please?

V- (10:30 AM) Send me what you want

Re- (10:30 AM) Thank you, Anx!

V- (10:31 AM) Yeah, yeah. You’re lucky I like you

Virgil sighed, looking up the nearest coffee shop. He cringed when Remus sent his monstrosity of an order, along with Janus’ plain black coffee. He started walking again, this time following his GPS to Puppy Pastries, a cafe/bakery with pastel blue everything. A part of Virgil found this place… comforting. Like the inside of a grandmother’s house (Virgil had never met his grandparents, but if he had, this is what he imagined their house to look like). He quickly made his way up to the counter, ordering his friends’ drinks along with a chai tea and a blueberry muffin. He went over to the side, ready to scroll Tumblr until he heard his order, when he heard-

“Sorry I was late, Katherine. I oversle-”

WHAM! Suddenly, a door slammed him in the face. He groaned, his hands immediately going to cover his face. He tried to focus on what the person in front of him was saying.

“-o sorry! Let me get you some ice. Are you bleeding?” Virgil pulled his hands back, seeing red through his blurry vision. He nodded, stumbling forward. “Oh my! Sit down, sir. I’ll get you something for your nose.” There was someone tugging on his arm, and he followed them to a booth. He sat down, hands still cradling his face, until he felt someone gently prying them away. He slowly lowered his hands, his vision still blurry. He flinched as someone pressed a cool rag to his face. He heard them whimper out a soft “sorry” and he tried to stop himself from flinching anymore. He closed his eyes as the stranger slowly wiped the blood off of his face. He felt them lower the rag to his hands, and he let them wipe off his hands. He was soon handed an icepack, and Virgil sighed in relief at the cold feeling on his face. Virgil slowly opened his eyes, and the sight took his breath away.

In front of Virgil was a man on his knees, staring up at Virgil. He had blonde, curly hair that framed his face like an angel’s halo. He had large, round silver glasses that did nothing to obscure his beautiful blue eyes. He had a smatter of freckles along his nose and cheeks, and his lips…

Flirt Mode: Activated

“Hey Beau’iful” Anxiety purred, resting his head in his hand. He internally winced at the way he sounded, wishing that he could flirt with this man without a lisp.

The angel giggled, scratching the back of his head- Anxiety has never found that sexier than he did now. “Hello yourself. Sorry for the nosebleed. Your nose doesn’t look broken, but I would go get it checked out, anyways.”

Anxiety shrugged, fluttering his eyelashes. “Well, if I hadn’ goh’en hi’ I wouldn’ be flir’in’ with an angel now, would I?”

Angel blushed, looking down at his hands. “Well, I’m still sorry. I wasn’t expecting anyone to be on the other side of that door. I should make it up to you.” He gestured to Anxiety’s side, where his order from earlier lay. “Here’ your order, on the house.”

Anxiety smirked, pulling out his wallet. “It’s fine, Angel. Seein’ your beau’iful face made i’ all worth i’. Le’ me pay for it’.” At least the lisp is going away.

Angel sighed, shaking his head. “I couldn’t make you pay for it, Kiddo.”

Angel’s comment stirred something in the back of Anxiety’s head, but he ignored it, instead focusing on Angel’s adorable pout. “Okay, I won’ pay. But at leas’ let me tip.”

Angel giggled again, and it was one of the most beautiful sounds that Anxiety’s ever heard. “Well, I can’t stop you from tipping. Just know you’re not obligated to tip! And you can stay here for as long as you need!”

Anxiety smirked as he got up. “As much as I would love to stay here and ‘alk to you all day, I gotta ge’ going.” He made sure he grabbed the right amount of money before placing it in the tip jar.

Angel blanched at the money. “Did you just tip $100?!?”

Anxiety smirked, grabbing his order and walking out the door. “See ya, Angel.”

As soon as Virgil got to Janus’ house, he was nearly attacked by a tired Janus. He snatched up his coffee, moaning as soon as the cup touched his lips. He chugged half the container before lowering it, giving Virgil a once-over. “You look like shit.”

Virgil winced, playfully shoving past Janus. “So do you, but I’m not complaining.”

He made his way to the living room, Janus tagging along behind him. Remus saw them and jumped up, but he stopped when he saw Virgil’s face. “Dude, what happened? Did you have to fight for our drinks or something.”

Virgil sighed, his mind going back to Angel’s beautiful laugh. “Or something.”

They sat in silence, drinking their drinks while Virgil ate his muffin. Virgil smiled when he saw another muffin at the bottom of the bag. Seems like Angel wanted to find another way to apologize. I’ll have to bring that up next time. Virgil almost snorted at the thought. He had barely had one conversation with the guy, and he already wanted to meet up again.

“Okay, what’s his name?” Virgil’s head snapped up. He looked over at Remus, who had the world’s biggest smirk on his face. “You’ve been sitting here smiling like an idiot for the past 20 minutes. So, what’s his name? Is he the reason your nose is purple now?”

Virgil sighed, flopping back to where he landed on Janus’ side. “I met an Angel today, guys. A real Angel!”

Janus snorted, taking another sip of coffee. “Right, an Angel. And where exactly did you meet this Angel?”

“At the cafe. He accidentally slammed a door in my face. Then he cleaned my face for me. It was so hot.” He ignored his giggly friends and sat up. “I fall in love too easily.”

“That you do.” Janus managed to get out around his giggles. “So, I assume by your dramatic sighing that you’re going to bring us coffee more often?” A pillow to the face answered his question.

In 1774 Boston's Committee of Safety (John and Samuel Adams as well as Joseph Warren and PaulRevere were on it) was made up almost entirely of patriots, except for one man: Daniel Leonard. They couldn't decide anything important with him around so they would have a fake meeting and then be like OKAY IT'S AUGUST WE'RE HOT AND TIRED, LET'S GO HOME, and then after he'd left they'd lock themselves in a room and have their REAL, TREASONOUS MEETING. Reading about this is objectively one of the funniest things I have ever heard. It's literally the beack house episode of Brooklyn Nine-Nine where they have a fake party for Captain Holt.

This is an interesting question at this point in time because I am currently grappling with the fact that the people I worked with did not really believe in equality for all, and the system we built was designed to reflect this. GEORGE WASHINGTON: Good guy, needed to loosen up and not be a slaveholder. JOHN ADAMS: old stinky man. Called me mushroom excrement once. Put him back in the swamp from whence he came. THOMAS JEFFERSON: Rapist. Slaveholder. Really stuffy. Founded an entire political party for People Who Don't Like Hamilton. Fuck him foreverrrr. JAMES MADISON: Friendly with me but betrayed me when Jefferson came back from France. 2/10, cute but do not trust him with your secrets or coffee order. JAMES MONROE: A teenager during the war and I barely ever saw him after that but he was fine ig. ALEXANDER HAMILTON: that me! Made mistakes but all around a cool(tm) guy. BENJAMIN FRANKLIN: fresh funky and really funny. Cooler than you'd expect an old man with gout to be.

I mean of course he had a cause, but it was a bad one and having a cause doesn't make him less crazy. He was...really yikes.

24: Why do you think Lee Harvey Oswald killed JFK and did he act alone?

Most certainly did not act alone. But I feel based on timeline of events and maps of the area that either he was paid off either by our own government or the Soviets, or one of the two set him up as a patsy. Then Jack Ruby was paid to cover up the tracks.

25: Opinion on assassinations of leaders in general?

Same as killing anyone else, I guess, murder is bad, and I don't think that's really the route that should be taken to remove dangerous parties from power. But in some cases it may be the only way of removing them, and, well, that is what it is.

26: Do you think we're going to repeat history because we haven't learned from it?

Always. It is constantly happening. There is nothing new.

27: Have you ever been teased for being a history nerd?

hahahahahahahahaha yeah. Ever since first grade.

Due to the musical, Alexander Hamilton (me.) People need to realize that I wasn't perfect but also not evil. Just human.

I don't even know exactly when or how anymore. My mom's a book nerd and an archaeology/anthropology major, so I grew up in a house chock full of books, including history books. I've loved it ever since I could read, honestly.

32: Do you know a history professor?

I do not!

33: How did your favorite history teacher structure their class?

I was homeschooled so it was my mom. She made sure we covered every period, but other than that just let me pick out what interested me and what I wanted to read and explore. She read a ton of big historical books right alongside me and we'd discuss as we read. We still do this!

very fine morning – up at 7 10 but went to bed again – note from Madame Gassie, very civil, brought by special messenger to say that A- could not have le bain Dassieu n°16 pour sept heures du matin – the hours of 6 and 7 taken recently by ladies who would stay the greater part of next month – but the hour of 8am would be at liberty on the 1st of next month – should her (Madame G-‘s) gendre M. Soisson take this hour for A-? some time with A- determined to ride over to Barèges this morning – went to bed again at 8 for ½ hour – breakfast at 9 ½ and had Mr. Flamant and read the newspaper till 11 ¼ - Mr. F- would let me have as many napoleons as I wanted – I said 20 would be enough – would be glad of our taking his apartment vacant at Barèges at the hotel de France – his ½ the house private – the other ½ the hotel and the restaurant belonging to his brother – we should not disagree about price – wanted me to say what I would give – I declined this – and he said would I give ½ what we paid at present i.e. 15 ÷ 2 = 7/50 per day – to which I agreed – A- and I off to Barèges at 11 40 and alighted at the Hotel de France at 1 ½ - sent for Mr. Pagès, inspecteur des bains – A- gave him Dr. Doubles’ ordonnance to read – Mr. P- observed that all Dr. Doubles’ ordonnances were alike – he did not know Barèges – had not been here – there are but three douches here, and not one of them of the water of the bain Dassier – of which water there is only one bath – P- said he would mention this to Dr. D- when he saw (it seems P- spends the winters in Paris – was an élève of Magendies’) – A- said she had 4 baths to take at St. Sauveur – P- said she had better make out the n° at Barèges and come as immediately as possible as she had not a day to lose – indeed she had already lost time at St. S- 15 baths there would have been quite enough – she ought to have been at Barèges all this month the season closes on the 30th September on that day on ôte les chess – and before that time the weather is often cold – for fear of cold blasts or airs everybody here is carried to and from the baths en chaise à porteur, and it mattered not whether A- was at the bath end of the town or the other, and price was only four souls – A- preferred and P- recommended 5am instead of 8am so A- enregistrée for five am à dater du premier de September – the baths 1/. each – A- to pay from 1 September whether here or not; but P- so urgently recommended her coming as immediately as possible, even if she could but take one or 2 baths before giving them up for a few days, that we told the people to have all ready for us tomorrow and determined to arrive in time for dinner – we had thought that A- could perhaps bathe at St. S- tomorrow and Thursday and that we could be off to Eaux-bonnes and Eaux-chaudes on Saturday – Mr. P- did not stay more than 10 minutes – left A- at the hotel and I went to Madame Gassie to thank her for her note and say we had determined to come tomorrow sat 1/2 hour with Madame G- her son-in-law Mr. Soisson not at home – had been in the army – off home at 2 50 – I walked from 3 ½ to 3 55 – home at 4 ¼ - dinner at 7 – had Mr. Fabas Inspecteur des bains de St. Sauveur ½ hour till 9 40 – talked over my Vignemale ascent and our little excursion in Spain – Mr. F- dined chez le prince de Moscowa on the day of his return from the Vignemale and he the prince was so tired he could hardly stir – gave Mr. F- ./50 (ten five franc pieces) for his about ½ dozen visits – better paid probably than usual – he seemed well satisfied – settled with Josephine, and at accounts till 12 at which hour F70 ½° - very fine day – on returning home Josephine observed a spot of monsieur on A-‘s petticoats he had come while we were out without A-‘s ssuspecting it what a pity we did not know before and then we needed not have left here tomorrow –

And how I like it really depends on the coffee: if it’s a moka, it’ll be with a splash of whole milk and half a spoonful of sugar, le petit caffé is always a noisette, if it’s french press or any type of cold coffee, with lots of milk, turkish coffee always very sweet but no milk ... Unfortunately, it’s mostly the latte-est most watered down decaf for me these last couple of years (due to stomach problems) but I can assure you, that is not what I like.
