MONSTER HIGH G3 IS NOT AS INCLUSIVE AS MONSTER HIGH G1
EDIT: THIS IS JUST A RANT, DON'T TAKE IT SO SERIOUSLY LOL
Maybe that sounds crazy. Maybe it's been said a million times. Anyway, I'm just ranting about my 3 am thoughts.
I know in G3 we have non-binary Frankie (who also has a prosthetic leg), and the Draculaura doll is more curvy. But as far as I'm concerned, they took everything else that made Monster High inclusive.
For starters, and I know it was never actually confirmed, but still, Clawdeen is lesbian (bisexual at best). Once again, it was never confirmed, but in my opinion is a theory popular enough for the Monster High management to hear about it.
If they really wanted to make it more inclusive, why did they not confirm Clawdeen sexuality and give her a female romantic interest?
No, they had to break up one of their best couples. This leads me to my next point, what the fuck are Cleo and Deuce doing being separated?
The first G1 dolls literally came as a package. If you got one, you got the other. That's how much of an obvious couple they were. And not only that, in the Boo York movie, they broke up for like five minutes before realizing they didn't want to be without each other.
Which, in my opinion, it's so fucking cute because they come from completely different worlds. Cleo is royalty, Deuce is just a normal guy. Cleo is a little too superficial, and Deuce looks like he never showers. But they love each other and that's enough.
And you know who else loved each other and that was enough? Clawd and Draculaura. What do you even mean with "Clawd likes Cleo"? That man was in love with Draculaura, that man would've done anything for her, and you're telling me they also broke them apart?
Especially since they made Draculaura curvy, it would've been beautiful to see them together. Because it would've been a great plot point to have jock, almost-bully Clawd evolve into falling in love with curvy, smart, witchy Draculaura. But no, they just separated them.
On a completely different note. What the fuck is Gil doing without his tank? Do I even have to explain why this is taking inclusivity out of the Monster High concept? He couldn't live without his tank outside the water. Ergo, he was limited without his tank. If you ask me, this is Monster High equivalent to something like hearing aids (and this is just an example, there are many other things you could compare Gil's tank to)
Also, Ghoulia talking bothers me a lot. First of all, she was the smartest of the group, but we couldn't understand what she was saying, which added a lot of comedy since us, the spectators, were only pretending to know what the fuck Ghoulia's plan was. And I repeat, she was the smartest of the group.
The smartest of the group couldn't communicate like everyone else. I won't even explain why that is fascinating in itself, because it just is and it added so much depth to whole story. And to add more to my problem with G3 Ghoulia, why is she standing straight and walking at a regular speed?
Ghoulia standing like a zombie was, again, to me, a form of inclusivity to all the kids out there who had some walking impediment, or, in general, had any chronic illness that stopped them from moving around. And her walking slow as fuck was just straight-up funny (especially that one web episode where she got a motorcycle).
There's a lot of things I do like about G3, as I think it improves the brand in wonderful ways, but they definitely took some of the most essential things that made Monster High what it was.

a very long messy review of link click (season 2)
alright so reading through a bunch of (mostly negative) reviews of the season thus far i've come to my own conclusions over how this season felt, and i really feel like addressing them since i personally feel like it deserves recognition (and rightful criticism) within certain aspects. really interested in everyone's takes so lmk whatever you think about all these aspects i'm about to gloss over.
Tumblr media
NOTE ; i'm not going to be talking about the art direction or OSTs . i believe those have been nothing short of phenomenal and i feel like we can all universally agree over that
1) tonal shift : from a more emotionally driven s1, coupled with sprinkles of slice of life moments, we turn to a mostly thriller/mystery plot line. personally, i've always seen this coming. the tonal shift really didn't take me by surprise. with the lg stabbing at the end of season 1 it almost seemed inevitable that the more light hearted aspects of the first season weren't going to happen. more importantly, it was very clear that there was always a higher presence to fight. link click was always meant to be a thriller, this was always the plan, and so i suppose logically i assumed the second season would follow that path. i understand how people might've felt disappointed, or 'robbed', but i don't think the shift was all that shocking quite honestly, it was always set up. link click was never light hearted, even at s1.
the more shocking shift has to be the shift from an emotional, to suspenseful change in writing. the emotional writing in link click has always been the best part of the show and that hasn't changed, the emotionally driven plot lines of s2 (chen bin, ltc/ltx) have been written very well. the suspenseful writing also works. replaces the tear jerkers with an unsettling anxiety, and it's executed relatively well. you can clearly tell that the crew's been experimenting quite a lot with this season, and yes, that's usually what season 2 is for.
2) pacing : now i totally get the criticism in this aspect. in my opinion, the weakest part of s2's been the pacing. with overly drawn out fight scenes, and unnecessarily long recaps, i think the issue has to do with the fact that lc just has a LOT to address, and so it makes us feel less inclined to sit through longer scenes that don't directly advance the plot.
obviously i get that the fight scenes show off a lot of the animation budget #tm and they do look great but the fact that we had way too much time dedicated to a five minute long fighting cutscene in the FIRST episode just made me feel impatient.
3) red herring endings: alright this might be an unorthodox opinion but, aren't red herring cliff hangers a norm in general with these kinds of shows lol. idk i've come to expect the total opposite every time so it doesn't really bother me i guess i'm just used to the medium. not really a lc problem it's a story telling problem in general but that's just marketing i don't know what else to say.
it'd be nice if they followed through but some part of me thinks they're pulling a whole boy who cried wolf situation, eventually they'll pull the trigger when we don't really expect it.
4) shipping/ main trio reconciliations : it's a really serious ongoing situation. i kind of get why the main trio/shiguang don't get a chance to talk things over amongst themselves, it just isn't the time. keep in mind everything that's happening rn is happening continuously, there are no gaps within the days or anything, kind of makes sense that they don't really talk about it. they probably will get to once it's all over, which might be well into s3. again, this was always meant to be a thriller more than it was trio focused. also idk about you guys but i think we actually did get a lot of sweet moments within the trio, cxs and lg, even the sibling dynamic with ql and cxs were really lovely this season.
5) the women: okay i REALLY don't understand the problem here. the women are written well. ql is written FANTASTICALLY and all side characters like ltx and that one red eyed lady i'm forgetting the name of were great too. hell even chen bin's wife was great. i think for a donghua/anime where women are usually given dirt in terms of actually strong writing, lc has always been very solid. their lives do not revolve around the men in the show it just happens to be that men are a part of their lives. they have very distinct personalities and aren't treated like weird objects to gaze at (what a bar lol) but yes i do think the women are written quite dimensionally.
6) unanswered questions : when have linear shows ever answered questions (especially mc based) in season 2?? when has season 2 EVER tied loose ends? when it comes to linear television, season 2's purpose almost always build towards a greater evil/climax. there's a reason why season 2 hasn't answered questions we've had, season 2s in most shows rarely ever do. from what i can tell, with a confirmed s3, i've always expected s2 to simply do its job as a second season and further raise stakes and raise even more questions. i do get the frustration, i get the lack of any backstory, but i want to refrain from making any actual comments over that till every episode's aired ahah, however, im not too mad at it. i just think this show's ride is currently still at an increasing accelerated pace (guys i'm sorry i study physics), things will only be explained once we've once hit the climactic point or go downhill right after. time will tell i guess
Conclusion
overall, i think this season was actually pretty solid. s1 set a very unrealistically high bar, as s1 in my opinion is one of the best seasons in television period. but s2 and s1 shouldn't be compared in the same way, their tone is quite different, and needs to be analysed individually instead. i'll make a complete review once the season is over, but honestly i've come to enjoy the season most when i stop expecting too much out of it. i think people had way too many things they've expected from s2, that were bound to simply never happen.
that said, i do hope the crew takes the valid criticism regarding the pacing (and ig the character focus?) into consideration and implements it well into s3. it's worth noting that i believe nothing was meant to be complete with s2 in the first place.
i've really enjoyed this season, and i'm beyond ecstatic to rewatch it all once it's done airing, in order to properly take it all in. it's had its flaws, more than s1 has had (let's be real s1 had little to none). but that's bound to happen to shows when they head down their linear routes. currently sitting at a 7/10

Chapter five
“you are the root of the problem!"
– At Tsukinami manor :
"oww! again?"
"I'm so sorry shin-kun!!" Yui cried out another apology as she once again stepped on Shin's feet for the nth time.
The younger founder has lost the count of how many times this has happened already. He clicked his tongue at the petite woman in front of him but still couldn't take any actions.
"h-how about we take a break" Yui whimpered as she stepped back, trying to keep a distance, too scared to face him.
"alright" she felt her shoulders ease as internally a sigh of relief escaped from her.
"just wait here, I'll bring some snacks to eat and also something for a drink"
'huh' The blonde woman didn't understand why she was feeling giddy inside her stomach just from his small gesture? whatever it was, it can be mulled over later.
she watched Shin leave the room as she sat down on the floor after taking off her shoes. inside the huge spacious room, she felt so tiny now that she is all alone.
'such a huge manor for just two people, even if they are from England this house is just too big…. even when I entered this building the interior was very lavish yet simple. I almost mistook it for some royal palace… no no no maybe I'm really starting to overthink because of all the worried glances and conversation I'm having from the other boys. stop panicking Yui, everything will be okay'
she shakes her head at last part indicating how badly she doesn't want to accept it, even if it is an assumption.
*bzzzz*
yui took out her phone from her skirt pocket as she heard it vibrate.
'shu?'
to receive a message from the eldest sakamaki who barely bothers himself with such stuff….
shu: I'll be there to pick you up in 20 minutes.
shu: no buts.
shu: no extra waiting, if you don't want me to barge in and fly away with you.
shu: in front of them.
Yui remembers giving the guys her live location on the group chat they created a while ago just to keep her in check with the surrounding danger. but she never expected that it'll be Shu who would come to pick her up. himself.
but more importantly it'll become very awkward and put her in a weird position if Shu reveals his powers, and Yui knows if Shu said it then he'll definitely do it.
yui: okay, I'll be waiting for you shu-san.
— Kitchen, Tsukinami manor:
"I'm saying it nii-san, now's the perfect time to catch her off guard and kidnap her. after all she naively has left herself open for us." Shin smirks as he talks with Carla in the kitchen, revealing his true intentions.
"you have done a great job Shin for bringing that woman to us with your ploy but I'm afraid it'll be difficult"
"what do you mean?"
"each and everyone of them has surrounded the mansion, look around. they are keeping an eye on us and her."
"that shouldn't be the problem, the lunar eclipse is—"
"it is. we are outnumbered, even if we manage to fight, one of them will be somehow able to get their hands on her and escape. It's too much trouble for that mere woman."
"mere woman… she is important to continue our bloodline so mere shouldn't be—"
"Shin. her heart is important, not her."
Shin has no idea why he was a little triggered at the mention of her being called mere but he also knew his brother will not spare him if he speaks more.
Carla watches Shin for a moment before giving him a warning, "I have been observing you too for a while and your ploy… better be a ploy only"
the strawberry haired man perks up at his brother's words, but before he can say anything Carla disappears from his sight.
"...."
"the only thing I care about is giving my payback to those bastards for this eye"
"....and to surpass you. Che."
clicking his tongue, Shin quickly managed to plate some light snacks with two glasses of apple juice and went to Yui.
— Outside the Tsukinami manor:
"I see~ nothing suspicious except watching m-neko dance with that guy. Can we stop this already, I'm getting jealous."
"kou. just keep your attention on your surroundings and this mansion." Ruki scolded Kou as the said poor boy sulked and did what he was ordered to from his older brother.
all nine of them has surrounded the mansion as per the order of the eldest sakamaki.
"good grief. I can't believe he was the one who for once looked dead serious while giving us the order to keep an eye on her only for him to stay at home by himself. Shu that guy–"
"true true. it was very weird to see Shu suddenly behaving like that. I was so~ scared." Laito comments in his jovial tone only to earn glare from Subaru and Reiji.
— Ballroom, Tsukinami manor:
"here you go!"
"thank you so much Shin-kun."
"don't mention it."
…
silence befell on them as both of them quietly munched on their snacks & sipped their juice. Yui pondered for a while and to disperse the quiet atmosphere she told the man in front of her about Shu's message.
"Shu? is he the guy from that night on the rooftop when you were giving me a school tour."
"yes…" she smiled.
"so he really is your boyfriend huh?"
"b-boyfriend!??!?" Yui's cheeks were covered with red tint as she stumbled over Shin's interpretation.
"no! he is not my boyfriend! he is my…" pausing yui tried to search for a word that will describe her relationship with Shu, she can't tell Shin about how he is one of her predators because he is a vampire…
"your?"
"my distant cousin!" under the pressure to explain herself to Shin, Yui babbled whatever came into her mind on the spot.
'oh god what am I saying (╥▽╥)' She cried internally as she realised what she blurted out. Following she also apologised to Shu internally and hoped he won't find out.
— Outside Tsukinami manor:
she really really hoped he wouldn't find out. then why.
"....cousin!?" Shu slowly mumbled whatever he heard from Shin and looked at Yui with a wide eyed surprised face and the latter turned her face in return, hiding herself behind Shin's huge figure compared to her small body.
"what? Why are you so surprised? Do you not like being her cousin?" Shin teased Shu like he is totally aware that what Yui said isn't true.
"I…. I am her cousin. don't spout nonsense. I was surprised she would introduce me to you, looks like you guys got close." Shu lazily retorted but kept his eyes open to take in the atmosphere around Shin and Yui.
frowning, Shu took Yui's hand who was still hiding behind Shin.
"lets go Yui."
"my dear cousin"
'ah, I'm done for when we reach back home'
"hold on! I wanted to ask her something" Shin stopped Shu from pulling her away from him.
"....what?" Shu glared at Shin, not wanting to spend more time with such a bothersome person.
"I said Yui, not you." Now Shin was also frowning as he turned to Yui but as soon as he did that, his expression went back to smiling.
"Now that you are practising dance with me, we definitely need dresses too for prom. and I remember you telling me before that you have never attended such event before, so wanna go for shopping a few days later"
"there's no need, I'll take her to buy a dress right now so you don't need to involve and trouble yourself more for my dear cousin"
"I'll. after all she is my partner"
"so?" Shu ws starting to get annoyed as he didn't want this new stranger to pry into their lives, no more importantly get close to Yui by using such obvious excuses.
"so, I wanna select a dress specifically for my partner myself."
The air was getting too suffocating. Yui really didn't know what to do. she looked back and forth between them and the only thing she can conclude is…
sigh….
"Shin-kun, why not join us to buy the dress right now."
"what are you–"
"oh, not a bad idea! I'll inform my brother and come back" and with that Shin left without giving Shu any chance to intervene.
sighing, Shu turned to Yui,
"you really…. why do you keep making things tiresome for me?"
"you were the one who mentioned buying a dress right now! if not then maybe we could have found any other reason "
"forget that… I'm your cousin now huh?"
"it… i-it happened in the spur of the moment! I didn't know how to describe our relationship to Shin-kun, especially when he speculated that you might be my boyfriend."
"boyfriend is better than cousin"
blush crept on Yui's face and she looked at Shu bewildered, who only smirked in return as he tried to snake his hand around her waist to tease her more.
"I'm back." Yui immediately slapped his hand away and turned to Shin, mustering a smile to cover up as well as trying to calm her tomato face.
— At town:
Yui and Shin were starting to get a headache with all the massive noise coming from behind. both of them exchanged awkward glances with each other and looked at Shu simultaneously, who gave them a questioning look only to trigger both of them.
Shin complained to Shu about the clamour from behind, a group of girls who were starting to surround them and follow them secretly, squealing.
"as they say, just remove the root of the problem if it's becoming too bothersome"
"you are the root of the problem!" yui cried out as the crowd of girls behind them started getting closer and noisier. "such a drag" he sighed, which was followed by a lazy yawn.
"how do you deal with him everyday?"
"don't ask" Shin can feel the annoyance in Yui's voice and realises how this trip will become longer than he anticipated.

I don't knwo if you've heard of this, but on instagram, there are a lot of people doing those kind of trigger!people video skits, like pick-me girls and toxic girl best friends, guys who think every one wants to date them, etc etc. Anyway, i w as watching one of those for 'work wives' and i would love to see a kc drabble based on that if youre still taking requests! like klaus/caroline getting all jealous when they see teh other getting flirted with. thanks!
Hi, nonnie! I have seen one or two that have popped up on my feed, but I've never really given thought to that as a klaroline drabble up till now! You're right, this made for a great idea, hope you like it!
xxx
Caroline smiled at Klaus’s assistant, who grinned back tiredly. “Hey, Caroline. Surprise visit?”
“Yeah,” she said, holding up the bag of sushi she had picked up. “Thought I'd pop by for lunch.”
“He’s in a meeting, but he’ll be done in five minutes, do you want to wait inside?”
“Sure.”
“I'll just put a call for him through, and you—”
“Sophie, call Klaus and tell him to meet for lunch,” said a snotty voice beside her, and Caroline stiffened. She turned her head to see a tall blonde woman leaning over Sophie’s desk, watching her as she raised an eyebrow.
“Um, actually, Camille, Caroline here was going to meet Klaus for lunch, she’s going to wait inside—”
The woman whipped her head around to look at Caroline, narrowing her eyes. “Who are you?”
“I'm the wife of the man you demanded to meet for lunch, who are you?” Caroline snapped.
The woman laughed. “Oh, you're the wife.”
The wife? Excuse her.
She smiled. “Sorry, I've never seen you here before. I nearly forgot Klaus was married.”
Oh, she did, did she? How convenient.
The woman continued blithely. “It’s just that, we meet every single day, and though he talks about you, I've never seen your face.”
This woman was clearly stupid and blind. If she met Klaus every day how had she not noticed the photos of her on his desk?
“Who are you?” Caroline repeated, cutting her off.
“Oh, my name is Camille. Klaus hasn’t mentioned me? I'm what the people call his,” Camille winked, causing Caroline’s blood to boil, “work wife.”
“Literally no one calls you that, Camille,” Sophie droned monotonously, her eyes fixed on the computer screen before her.
Camille gritted her teeth and turned back to Caroline. “Like I said,” she smiled. “Work wife. We have lunch every single day, but it’s…nice, that you’ve popped by. Gives us the chance to get to know each other.”
Oh, like hell was she going to eat lunch with this bitch. Caroline was going kill her if she had to spend more time with her.
“Actually, this was going to be like a date thing.” Caroline smiled at her, the same fake smile she had perfected during her years as cheerleading captain in high school.
Camille’s smile turned brittle. “Oh, don’t worry, Klaus and I have a few things to discuss anyway, we’ll be done soon. This is important, I'm sure you understand.”
Um, no, she does not fucking understand. What was the bitch’s problem?
“Mr Mikaelson!” Sophie called out, her tone relieved. “Thank god you're—I mean, your wife is here.”
“I can see that, Sophie, thank you.” Klaus’s smile is broad, and he walks over to where she’s standing briskly, leaning down to give her a long kiss. “Hello, love,” he grinned. “Fancy meeting you here. Can't say I'm disappointed. I have missed you.”
Caroline’s annoyance melted at his adoring smile. “So did I. So I brought lunch, hope that’s okay. I finished my reports and my boss told me to go home since I've logged more hours than I have to for the week.”
“My wife, ever the overachiever,” Klaus teased, kissing her on the lips once again. “I'd love to have lunch, my meeting just ended—”
“Actually, Klaus, we have those reports to get to, remember?” Camille’s snotty voice tore her out of her happiness bubble, and before she could retort, Klaus turned to her, placing his hand on the small of Caroline’s back.
“We can get to those later, Camille, I haven’t seen Caroline in ages, I want to have lunch with her.”
“I can stay, if that’s what you want. We can get those done faster anyway.”
“Later, Camille.” Klaus’s tone booked no argument and Caroline couldn’t resist flashing Camille the smuggest look she could muster up as she and Klaus turned around and walked into his office.
.
.
.
“I'm so sorry I don’t have much time, but it’s lovely to see you, sweetheart, and I intent to make the mo—”
Caroline cut him off with a swift kiss, standing on her tiptoes and giggling against his lips when he made a surprised sound. “That was nice,” he said dazedly when she pulled away, walking over to his desk to perch herself up on it as she opened the cartons of takeout, sliding one over to him as he sat down in his chair. “Any occasion?”
Caroline scoffed. “Do I need an occasion to make out with my very hot husband?”
Klaus smirked. “I suppose not. Is there, however?”
“No,” Caroline replied, affronted. “Who’s the bitch who keeps flirting with you?” came the mumbled addition after five seconds.
Klaus looked at her, amused. “Ah. You met Camille.”
“Hell yeah, I met Camille,” Caroline muttered, stabbing her sushi with a chopstick. “She called herself your work wife. What the fuck is that?”
Klaus sighed. “I honestly don’t know why she keeps calling herself that, no one calls her that. Besides, you don’t need to get upset, I only have one wife, whom I love very much,” he added, winking at Caroline.
Caroline couldn’t resist the small smile that spread across her face at his statement, and looked down into the box to hide her blush. “You eat lunch with her every day?” She couldn’t help but ask, hating that her voice sounded so small.
Klaus smiled, stood up and dropped a kiss on her forehead. “Caroline, sweetheart, there’s absolutely nothing to worry about. Camille’s just a colleague.”
“I know that, I trust you!” Caroline protested. “It’s just that…she gets to see you for so long every day, and I only see you when you get home and in the morning—”
“And I miss you every day. And I eat lunch with a big group of people, love, not just her. She’s just being petty because she likes me.”
Caroline scoffed, shoving him lightly. “You're so full of yourself.”
“Not to worry, I do like it when you become jealous,” Klaus said cheerfully.
Caroline narrowed her eyes. “I'm not jealous.”
“Like I said, love, it’s very entertaining. And arousing,” he added shamelessly, coughing when she kicked him lightly under the table.
Caroline hummed. “Oops.”
Klaus shook his head amusedly. “The things I let you get away with.”
“Because you love me.”
“That I do, so very much,” he sighed, kissing her shoulder.

Hope you liked it!

"Just great," [your name] sighed, moving her braids to the side. Just what she needed, a hot and humid day to walk to her classes on campus.
"This is terrible..." Nami whined, looking at her best friend.
"I know..." she slightly pouted, fanning herself with her folder.
Despite having many friends, there was something about Nami that clicked with [your name]. Their mindset was somewhat similar, all about the money. She had two best friends, Luffy and Nami. Luffy being her childhood best friend, and Nami being her sister from another mister.
Nami was the only one she could take classes with, Luffy somehow just happened to be in some classes that she had. math and literature, the two classes she hated being in. Especially with Luffy in the mix of it. If there was anything Luffy didn't understand was math and literature. Now [your name] was already terrible at math, but now she had to help Luffy pass the class. Thankfully for the trio, their math class got cancelled. So they had an hour and 45 minutes of leisure time.
"Hey Ace should be getting out of class in ten minutes," Luffy looked at you with a slight smirk.
"Can't do basic math, but you know when your brother gets out of class. Love that for you," she sarcastically replied, sitting down at the table in the cafeteria.
In ten minutes, she got to see Ace in his firefighter academy uniform. It was something about him in the uniform that drove her crazy, but she always kept it to herself. The last thing she wanted was for Luffy to announce to everyone again like before.
The voice level in the cafeteria became loud, indicating that the future firefighters were now in there, "you guys waited for me?" Ace's voice snapped her out of her thoughts while he sat in front of her.
Was his uniform shirt shrinking? Or was he putting on extra muscle? Whatever it was, she wasn't complaining at all. He still looked good to her and that's all that mattered.
"Our math class got cancelled actually, so we have an hour and 40 minutes now of just relaxing before our literature class," Nami smiled, letting the cool air hit her.
"Wait do you guys have professor Crystal?" and they nodded their heads.
"Who has the best grade in that class?" Nami and Luffy quickly pointed to [your name], causing her to choke on her water.
"Good, You know how her big paper is due soon? Well not soon, but next week?" his eyes were a bit wide while she nodded her head.
"I suck at essays and I have a high D in this class. If I can get an A, then maybe it'll raise it to a C. If you're not busy later today, can you help me out?" she quickly nodded her head, not realizing what she just got herself into.
"Thanks, I appreciate it [your name]!" he smiled, grabbing a piece of Luffy's fries.
"No problem," she smiled back, pinching Nami's thigh. It won't hit her now because she's excited, but once Ace leaves to attend his next class, she'll be freaking out.
"Well, my next class starts in five minutes. See ya'!" he took off with Luffy's fries, who's reaction was delayed.
"Oh my God. Oh my God. Oh my God," and there she goes. Reality began to sink in.
"I'm helpin' Ace with his essay? Oh my. I need to cancel right now," she rambled, causing Luffy to flick her in the forehead.
"You're annoying when it comes to Ace," he stared at her, left eye starting to twitch.
"And you're overreacting, just help him out. I don't know what the big deal is," he took a bite out of his burger.
"Yeah..." as much as she didn't want to admit it, he was right.
Maybe she was being extra for no reason, and she needed to calm down.
Tumblr media
Once classes were over, [your name] and Nami said their goodbyes. It wasn't really goodbye, the two were just dramatic when they were separated. As always, [your name] gave Luffy a ride because they lived in the same apartment complex.
She followed Luffy inside of the place. Of course, Ace was in the kitchen shirtless and eating. Every time she was over, the male never wore a shirt.
"Oh you actually came!" he looked up from his phone with a small smile.
"Yeah, whenever you're ready just let me know," she returned the small smile, sitting down next to Luffy.
"Uno?" Luffy held the pack in his hand while she chuckled.
"Oh you're so on..." she trailed off, grabbing the deck of cards and began to shuffle them.
But before they could start, they were interrupted by Ace who was done with his meal. She followed him to his room, where she saw Luffy looking at her with a small smirk on his face.
His room was a bit messy, but it wasn't too major. Following him to the desk, she sat down next to him. He handed her the extra keyboard while she started his computer.
"So do you know what you want to write your essay on?" she cleared her throat. To her, the atmosphere felt awkward and she knew that it was her. Maybe it had to do with the fact that she was close to him while he was SHIRTLESS.
"I wanna write about the rapid fires that have been happening recently. I can show you my planning sheet," he pulled it up on his document folders.
[your name] looked through the planning sheet and he had strong points. Some of them needed to be expanded more, but it was overall a good paper. Which was a bit surprising to her. For someone who seemed so carefree, she wouldn't expect him to worry about his grades. Then again, he was in the firefighter academy. So he probably needed to maintain his gpa to continue on in the program.
"This is actually great, some of your points do need to be expanded, but I think we can work on that together," she continued to look through it.
"Wait really? That's great," he sighed in relief.
"My biggest fear was that I'd have to start this whole process over again," he leaned back in his chair.
"I think if we can expand some of your points, you'll probably have a flawless paper. The structure is actually amazin',"
"Thanks, that means a lot coming from you. I heard that you're good at essays, so I guess i'm kind of excited?" he questioned with a slight chuckle.
Maybe helping Ace with his essay didn't seem too bad with her.

Haven't posted in a while, but something that was really bugging me a lot was some shit I noticed when rewatching the Moon Knight series that I think a lot of comic book fans could relate to. I know, Mr " um actually " comic book guy is talking right now but imma need you all to bare with me here for a second. and before any of you start typing, please remember everything said here is MY opinion. All I ask is that you're respectful. I'm going to start of with how I don't understand the hype around this motherfucker.
Tumblr media
Literally the most whiniest mf in the ENTIRETY of the MCU. The only people who can like or tolerate this bitch are mfs who have 9 hours of daily screen time on TikTok, listen to hyperpop music and think that he's a soft uwu meow meow baby girl hurt emo princess boy.
Moon Knight is literally one of the most metal superheros out there and the directors saw that and said, " now imagine that but we make his woman so much better than him and water him down and completely change his back story and then wipe our asses with it, spit on it and then pretend we were trying to show representation. " Like what the fuck are you fucking doing?
My first problem is that I felt like this show focused too much on Layla and her relationship to Marc... Nvm, Sorry I lied. Not Marc, fucking STEVEN. This show isn't about " Layla ", its about MARC and Steven and JAKE. (I'll talk about Jake later) Like can we just... " Are you an Egyptian superhero? " " I am. 🥺" GIRL BYE 💀💀 this part of this show was so bad it made eternals look good. This was cringe on the level of seeing your mother do a dab. All that episode 6 was about was Layla kicking ass and that's it. I don't understand why Kevin Feige has the urge to make everything about badass women. Like theres ABSOLUTELY nothing wrong with that, I love badass women and we need more women superheros, but I'm just saying, I came here to watch MOON KNIGHT not Layla El-faouly.
So funny how they make a show about Marc Spector and he only gets like 20 minutes out of the 6 hours of the entirety of the show. I think the most time he got on screen was like episode five and maybe two but that's about it. It felt like he was only there to make things depressing and to make Steven Grant have better character development because he himself is just so fucking boring and not funny. Marc Spector is so much more than " I got hit as a kid and my alter ego is fucking my ex wife. " He's a Jewish antihero struggling with a personality disorder that's eating his life away and a toxic relationship with a man who's been basically lying, emotionally abusing, and manipulating him since his CHILDHOOD. What I love most about Marc Spector is that he's not like all other these mighty superheros, he's just some dude. He just some dude with real human struggles like you and me, trying to figure himself out and navigate through his disorder. Marc should have had a bigger role in this show but I guess Steven Grant and Layla were more interesting than him. Steven is the main course, Layla is the desert and Marc is the salad off to the side that's barley been eaten.
Steven Grant is not a shy British man with great manners who works in a gift shop and is giving in his moms flat, he's a savvy millionaire ( who's from Chicago, Illinois, so as Marc and Jake ) who works in the film industry and lives in a mansion. Those are two completely different characters. Everyone that I've seen who's criticized Steven in the slightest has said that he was bland, boring, and the producers were trying too hard to make him funny. You can't try to have something that's just straight up sad happening with a character and then pretend that it's funny and try to make it into comedy. That's just not how it works and it's not realistic. That's why movies like The Crow are good and movies like Renfield are bad. The Crow takes itself seriously and is genuinely sad but lightly sprinkled with comedy, Renfield wanted to be a bit sad, but ruined itself by trying to hard to make every scene funny.
The only good scene in this entire show is the scene where Marc says, " you are you the only real superpower I ever had " or whatever the fuck. I didn't pay attention because all I could think about was the scene from frozen where Anna fucking froze and Elsa cried about it and then unfroze her with her tears or something. I guess her tears must have been really hot.
What I'll give Muhammad Diab credit for is casting. Having Layla be Egyptian is good, and having Oscar Isaac casted as Marc is also really good. Everyone In the comics is white for a character normally centered around Egyptian bullshit. They also got Khonshus personality right and that's about it.
I hate how the producers said that this show was all about " representation" and then didn't add Frenchie, who is a gay french guy in it or Bushman who is a black mercenary because he was " too much like Killmonger " ( which doesn't make any fucking sense because they are drastically different on so many levels but okay. ) they also said that this show is they're most brutal and violent show yet, but they were " violent " ( and bloody-ish ) the first three episodes and then just kinda gave up towards the end.
For the last thing, I'm gonna talk about Jake finally. Just pretend that I'm sighing right now. Like a really audible, dramatic sigh.
I get they wanted for us to differentiate the differences between each personality with accents but Jake doesn't need to speak Spanish. He doesn't speak Spanish in the comics and having him do it is completely unnecessary. I get it's Hollywood and Hollywood needs to make everything sexy and attractive, but Jake Lockley is the least sexiest alter of Marc Spector. He doesn't wear a suit with black leather gloves or drive a limousine, he's a fucking taxi cab driver with a really weird mustache who wears a turtle neck. When I think sexy, I don't think taxi driver. And it ruins the point of Jake Lockley as well because Marc uses Jake to see what's going on on the streets in New York. New York is really busy and crowded, so people are more prone to using a taxi, not a limousine unless you're bougie and rich.
Anyways that was my rant. Good night.

I said yesterday that I was going to watch Sherlock Holmes: Games of shadows. It was a quite fun tough forgettable ride, with Robert Downey Jr at his peak when it comes to his ability to be totally eccentric and over the top. Not very Sherlockian if you ask me, but I had a good time at the end, thanks mostly to his complicity with Jude Law (who I think is a great John Watson!).
Bad: Irene is fridged within the five first minutes of the movie, poisoned by Moriarty because her feelings for Sherlock get in the way too much: Sherlock looks sad for about 5 sec when he learns about it, before moving on with the only thing that interests him: his fascination and disgust for Moriarty. Her name's not uttered a single time after that, though we've got another second of sad Sherlock when he throws her handkerchief in the water to say goodbye. Hello misogyny, not good to see you again!
Good: this movie is twice more JohnLock than the four seasons of Sherlock.
You've got Sherlock who tries till the end to convince John he shouldn't get married and will miss him and their life of adventures (and from John's face, you know he's right).
You've got Sherlock LITERALLY throwing Mary out of the train that was supposed to take her and John to their honeymoon. It was to save her (of course!), and she's being rescued by Mycroft since everything was planned, but still, the symbolism is HUGE!
Tumblr media
Sherlock in this scene is disguised (very poorly cause Robert Downey Jr is way too masculine 😂) as a woman. When John understands what he just did to Mary, he jumps at his throat and they find themselves in a certain.. erm... position and even rips off his clothes (in anger).
Tumblr media
Sherlock called him and John a "couple", before correcting to "partnership" when John expressed his disapproval.
Then there is this:
Tumblr media
Later, they dance. Together. And it's not the first time, we learn.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
At the end, while John believes Sherlock is dead, he tells Mary Sherlock would be happy to know they do the trip to Brighton; Mary replies that Sherlock would have wanted to go with them.
And I probably forgot some other scenes. When Moriarty says he killed Irene, Sherlock barely reacts, but when he threatens John oh boy....
Don't get me wrong, I don't take any of this stuff seriously 🤣 I just think the writers were having fun, exactly like Gatiss and Moffat were having fun with Sherlock. I had fun too :)
They screwed up with Irene though. There were other ways to get her out of the way than killing her after 4 min of screentime. Now, I'm very open to the idea that she didn't really die and that her return was planned for a third movie. I'm equally open to the possibility that Sherlock always knew she was alive somewhere (like show Sherlock knew Irene was alive when John and possibly Mycroft thought she was dead); that would explain why he didn't seem that affected with her death. The problem is that GOS was 2011, it's 2024 now and the chances that a third movie happens get thinner and thinner. So, if there's never a third movie, Irene Adler is really dead in this franchise :(

Tumblr media
You’ve never felt like yourself ever since you came into the world.
Nothing felt just right.
You had grown up reading Goldilocks and the Three Bears, how Goldilocks trespassed into the Bears’ home and tried their furniture, skipping each one until it was just right. Just right. Just right for Goldilocks to feel at peace.
You wanted to be like Goldilocks. Minus the trespassing and breaking and entering, you wanted to find something that felt just right for you. Whenever you tried something new or did something different, it never felt right, and every failure drove a knife into your aching heart.
Growing up, you were placed in a more unaccepting environment, being told you had to learn how to fish and operate a boat, or how to chop lumber and shave. That was how it worked, your seniors had said.
Now that you were older, more knowing and aware of your surroundings, the words that were once ingrained into your brain started to lose its platform. You had found the Straw Hats Pirates, who took you in and gave you a place to call home and people to call family. THey were the people you would die for and treasured dearly with all your heart.
That’s why you were so scared to tell them how you really felt.
Years of searching, you’d finally found what had made you feel just right. You’d found the root of all your problems and pain for a great portion of your life.
You stood in front of the mirror, micro analyzing every part of your body and nitpicking each detail. You didn’t even notice the navigator of the ship standing behind you, until her tangerine eyes bore into your mirrored ones.
“You’ve been staring at the mirror for quite the time. I’ve been standing behind you for five good minutes, and you didn’t notice.” Nami said matter-of-factly.
You let out a sigh, facing the navigator, your head hung and shoulders slump. “Sorry…”
“It’s fine. I just wanted to come by and tell you dinner’s ready.” Nami tilted her head, her smile turning into a thin line. “Something’s on your mind, Y/N?”
“No, it’s nothing. Let’s just go eat dinner.” You walked towards the door, wanting to leave the suffocating room as fast as you could. One problem. The navigator’s foot slammed the door shut, placing herself between you and your exit.
“Y/N, what did we say about avoiding your problems?” Nami shook her head, a comforting and reassuring smile on her face. “Come on, what’s on your mind? I’ve seen you anxious before; this is on another level if you’re staring at yourself in the mirror.”
Nami had always been there for you whenever you were feeling down, offering to listen to your problems and comfort you, letting you lie down on her lap as she combed your short hair. Out of all the Straw Hats, you were the closest to her. She always listened to you rant about your problems, but you always left out the biggest: the real reason you kept staring at the mirror everyday.
“We’ve been through this before. I won’t pressure you into telling me why, but it’s unhealthy if you keep it bottled up inside you. You know I won’t tell anyone and I won’t judge.” Nami smiled, sitting down on your bed, patting on the spot next to her. Reluctantly, you trudged towards your bed, creating a dip in the mattress as you felt the navigator’s shirt brush against your broad shoulders.
After a wave of silence fell upon the two of you, Nami spoke up. “Did you kill a man?”
“What? No!” You stuttered.
“Then what’s wrong?”
You looked down, taking a deep breath. “You wouldn’t understand.”
“Help me understand, then.”
You looked at the navigator, searching for any sign of ambiguity before looking back down at your feet. “I’ve been… feeling out of place. I’ve always been feeling out of place. Nothing I do feels right. Nothing about me feels right. I don’t like… I don’t like myself. I don’t like who I am.”
“Oh, Y/N…” Nami sighed, placing a hand on your broad shoulders, watching your Adam's apple move. “I’m so sorry to hear that’s how you feel about yourself.”
“B-But… there’s something that I’ve been doing… and it really makes me really happy whenever I do it. It makes me not hate myself, it actually helps make me like myself. I like myself when I do that.”
Nami smiled. “Oh really? What is it? Do share.”
“W-Well… it’s a bit weird, and you’re going to judge me for it.” You mumbled.
“My dear Y/N, I would never judge you if you’re doing something, no matter how strange, that makes you happy. All I care about is your wellbeing and happiness. If I ever laugh at you for doing something ‘weird’ that makes you happy, you have all the right reasons to push me away and call me a bad friend.” Nami smiled, leaning in closer to you, her hand slithering down to your fidgeting fingers.
You clenched your eyes shut, sucking in a deep breath. “I like putting on makeup and wearing dresses.”
There it was. You had told her your biggest fear. Your biggest secret that swung above your head like a double edged sword. Now someone knew. Someone knew that you, as a male, was wearing makeup and putting on different dresses and skirts because you liked the feeling and the way it looked on you.
Silence filled the room. Not the good type of silence. The deafening, awkward type that always made it hard to breathe.
Then there was a chuckle. A small, faint, chuckle that came out of the navigator’s mouth. Nami chuckled, shaking her head as she rubbed your hand with small circles. “Oh, Y/N, was that all you were worried about? That I’d judge you for liking to wear makeup and put on dresses?”
You opened your eyes, looking at her with confusion. “Y-You’re not… creeped out?”
“Creeped out? Dear, why would I be creeped out?”
“I’m a boy… doing girl things…”
“Yeah, so? You’re happy doing it, aren’t you? That’s all it matters to me.” Nami grinned. “Besides, that gives me more of an excuse to bring you on my shopping sprees with Robin! We can buy all the makeup and dresses you want! Robin’s really good and painting your nails too! Don’t be scared, Y/N, it’s okay to like these things. If it makes you feel happy, do it. If it feels wrong, leave it.”
Tears began to form around your eyes. One drop, then another. You leaped into Nami’s arms, sobbing into her chest as you cried your heart out. You sobbed for the child that you once were. You sobbed for the person you once was. But you sobbed because you had finally found someone who would accept you for your biggest secret.
“Shhhh, it’s alright. It’s okay. I’m here.” Nami patted your head, planting a soft kiss in between your shoulder blades. When you had finally calmed down, you looked at Nami with red puffy eyes, a small smile on your face. Nami returned the smile, as her finger gently wiped away any remaining tear on your face.
“Do you want me to put some makeup on you before we go out to the rest of them?” Nami quietly asked.
“I d-don’t wanna tell them yet…” You shook your head.
“That’s okay. We’ll keep it between the two of us.”
“T-Thank you, Nami. Thank you so much.”
“It’s just common courtesy, my dear Y/N. Now get dressed, okay? Sanji’s not going to be happy if I leave him for too long. Choose something you want to wear, not what you think we want you to wear, alright? Remember, we’re your family. No matter what, so long you’re happy, we’re happy.”
You smiled at the navigator, at your confidant. You stood up, walking towards your closet as you pulled out the makeshift hidden drawer you made, putting it on and standing in front of the mirror.
For the first time in your life, you finally felt just right.
You had finally found home.

So I saw Halloween ends a couple days ago, but I wanted to wait until others saw it to make an option...
Spoilers under cut.
Honestly... Such a disappointment. I almost left the theater.
I was expecting us to get answers to questions left in Halloween kills; Why does he kill? Why is he so obsessed with standing in his sister's window? Why is he so powerful and unstoppable?
Halloween Kills is the reason Ends is so disappointing. Kills set so much up and put Michael on such a pedestal. He was an unstoppable force of evil, able to kill a whole mob by himself while taking a lot of attacks with no problem.
In Ends? Hell, not even to talk about his death scene yet, (which I will), but Michael is barely IN this movie. He's got maybe 10 minutes of screen time in this movie.
Instead, Corey takes the screen time. I'm not mad about this, Corey is an interesting character, and seeing him turned into a killer by the town was an interesting concept.
But it's not what Ends was supposed to be. It was supposed to be Michael and Laurie's final show down. Their last brawl, to settle it once and for all. It's not that, though. It's only included in the last 20 minutes because the writers remembered that was supposed to be here in the film. Such an anticlimatic end to thia 40 year long rivalry.
I also don't understand why they gave Corey and Michael some sort of teacher and student relationship. Michael has never done this before, sparing someone, let alone keeping them around ans showing them how to kill. It makes absolutely no sense. It feels like someone put their OC in the Halloween Universe to run around with Michael Myers.
And that scene in the sewer, with Michael losing his mask? I have massive problems with that.
How is it Michael can kill a whole unit of firefighters, a mob of people with weapons, but lost a wrestle with Corey? I get they're trying to show that Michael is a lot frailer and weaker after these 4 years, but he certainly looked fine killing that woman in the doctor's house, and he was just fine beating Laurie around. No, it's just a horrible scene, and completely destroys what Kills made.
That brings me to his death. Michael Myers is an infamous character known for taking 6 shots and living, surving being burnt alive, taking a whole mob of gun fire and surving, he took 5 shots and countless beatings in the mob scene... It's obvious he's hard to kill.
So why the hell did they think the solution was just to cut his arteries? That's not fun, nor is it a satisfying end to this infamous slasher. It's borderline disrespectful. Such a terrible way to kill him off. Letting him just bleed out? No, I wanted to see him and Laurie go out in a blaze of glory. But no, we didn't get that. It honestly felt like Michael just wanted to die and escape this movie. (Don't blame you, dude.)
I would have liked to see a more Freddy vs Jason approach to this final fight. Obviously not to the same degree of violence, but make these characters fight. Let them stab each other. Let Laurie go for the eyes. Let Michael put her hand in the garbage disposal. (Wasted potential) Not just a lot of throwing around and hitting heads against things. That's not fun, it's boring. It's not what this final battle needed.
The only praise I can give this movie is that scene with Corey. When Alison arrived home, and he stabs himself in the throat because he wants Laurie to look like the killer. That was great, and could've lead to something good. If it wasn't immediately forgotten about five minutes later.
Also, this movie tries to develop a relationship with Corey and Alison. It might have worked, if this movie wasn't horribly written. The script jumps around the entire movie, and I can't tell if it's been a day or if a few days have passed. I think only three days have passed, and Alison is already having sex with Corey and saying she'll run away with him.
What?
Also, every single person in Haddonfield is just insufferable. From people on the street blaming Laurie for Michael's attacks, Corey being harrased by high-school kids, snobby co workers who practically slut shame you... Haddonfield is a horrible place to live. I get why Michael stabs everyone here.
These problems, along with the previously stated just makes this movie miserable to watch. Watching this movie is like getting a sandwich that's just two pieces of bread. It's got nothing. Not even good kills. There's only one I'd point out, the one where the guy gets his tongue cut off. But that's it.
This whole movie was just disappointing. Such a horrible end to a decent pair of movies. I loved 2018 and Kills, I thought they were great despite their flaws. A breath of fresh air for the Halloween series it desperately needed. Ends just ruins it for me.
So yeah, those are my thoughts on this film. Sorry to anyone who enjoyed the film, you're free to have your opinion on it, and I'm glad you did enjoy it if tou did! I did not though, so I will not be acknowledging this movie much aside from this. It's going in my top five worst Halloween films.

“What?” Xander just squinted at her. “I’m not even bothered to try and figure out what that means. Look, you aren’t even supposed to be here. I explicitly told you I didn’t want you walking around town after dark. So just stay out of the way until I finish, would you? Zaida!”
But Zaida wasn’t listening. Actually, Zaida was walking away, her attention captured by the unmistakable tone of the biggest jerk in school. His overly gelled hair was spiked up high on his head, as usual.
“What part of ‘I'm fine’ are you having a problem grasping? Okay, I wanna go home.” Jackson was shouting animatedly, getting all up in the Sheriff’s face.
“And I understand that.” Stilinski remained calm, his voice soothing and stable in the face of her classmate’s aggression.
“No, you don't understand, which kind of blows my mind, since it should be a pretty basic concept to grasp for a minimum-wage rent-a-cop like you! Okay, now, I wanna go home!” he raised his voice into a scream. How could he disrespect their law enforcement in such an entitled way? Of course, it was entirely in his character as a spoilt rich kid to shit all over working-class citizens, but it still made her blood boil. Zaida was about four wide paces from shoving Jackson away from the Sheriff herself when Stiles stumbled out of his father’s car, eyes wide and jaw dropped.
“Oh, whoa, is that a dead body?” Stiles gaped, his eyes trailing a gurney with a humanoid mass covered by a white sheet being wheeled out from the video store.
“Everybody back up. Back up.” Stilinski made room for the EMTs to transport the body into the back of an ambulance. He then turned to her and the rest of the teenagers on the scene. “Zaida, Stiles, stay in the car please until someone can take you home. Jackson, I’m going to need you to sit down next to your girlfriend and wait.”
“His girlfriend?” she whipped her head around, searching for the unmistakable red hair. She found Lydia sitting in the back of the other ambulance huddled beneath a shock blanket and staring off into space.
“Zaida, in the car. Now.” Xander all but dragged her towards the back seat of the sheriff’s car and closed the door behind her.
“Great,” she muttered under her breath. “Jackson and Lydia get to be out there where all the interesting things are happening, and we are stuck in a car.”
“Tell me about it.” Stiles rolled his eyes, his voice muffled by what sounded like a full mouth. She leaned forward from the back, peering through the separation screen to see the boy shoving his face full of curly fries.
“Do you know what happened?” she asked him, watching his reaction closely.
“All I know is what you probably already know, which is that there was an animal attack, and now there’s a dead body, and Jackson and Lydia were here when it happened.” The words tumbled out of his mouth so quickly and awkwardly that it took her a full minute to understand what he actually said.
“Right.” She sagged back against the seat, crossing her arms over her chest in defeat. Well, tonight was a bust. She’d been hoping to gain some more information.
After her parents' death, she had become obsessed with all the finer details, convinced that the police had missed something. That they had missed everything . There were too many loose ends that wouldn’t tie up no matter how hard she tried. When Xander had told her a couple of years ago that she was wrong and that he had seen the reports to prove it, she had no choice but to attribute her concerns to a traumatised young mind and hadn’t thought much about it since. But that bus…it raised the same questions. Boasted the same loose ends. The biggest predators in California were mountain lions, but mountain lions had four fingers - not five, like the claw marks at both crime scenes. Mountain lions couldn’t open an unlocked front door, and close it behind them upon leaving. Mountain lions couldn’t rip a metal door almost entirely off its hinges. It was the same thing with the video store. There was a clear exit point, but where had the animal entered? None of it made sense.
“Why are you here anyway?” His head swivelled in her direction as if the thought had just dawned upon him that she wasn’t supposed to be here.
“I came to bring my brother dinner. He’s working back late.” She lied casually.
“Your brother?” He repeated, still confused.
“Yes, my brother.” She sighed, getting comfortable in her seat. “Deputy Callis.”
“Oh, I didn’t know your brother was the new Deputy.” He frowned, crumpling the now empty take-out bag.
“And I didn’t know the Sheriff’s kid hung out with crackheads until the other week, but what do you know? Here we are.” She shot back with a faux angelic smile, throwing out the joke to broach the subject.
“Wha-?” His face scrunched, movement jerky as he twisted in his seat to face her.
“You know, that guy you almost flattened with your jeep? Leather jacket, black hair, sweaty, pale skin? The one who looked about half an injection away from croaking it? Yeah, that crackhead.” She explained, picking at her painted nails. “Don’t worry. I’m no snitch. Though, whatever it was that he was on, I suggest you stay away. That stuff looked nasty.”
“What? Derek?” His voice jumped almost an octave. “Derek’s not on drugs. He was really sick. Like hospital-grade sick. And I barely even know the guy. Definitely not friends.”
“Is Scott his friend?” She pried further. Stiles’ floppy-haired, locker-punching bestie had already exhibited some pretty weird behaviours. Influence of drugs, perhaps?
“Scott? No. God no. Derek Hale is no one’s friend. Derek has no friends, because Derek sucks.” Stiles shook his head adamantly.
Zaida wasn’t sure what their deal was with this Derek Hale guy, but she could practically feel the anxious energy pulsating off of Stiles. He and Scott were definitely hiding something. What they were hiding - and what their reasons were for hiding it - she wasn’t yet certain. One thing she was sure of was that she’d get to the bottom of it, eventually. It was just another mystery to add to the ever-growing list.

He walks over to Jerry and taps Jerry on the shoulder. "Are you able to track Jor now that we have her blood, Jerry?"
"I got a werewolf friend," Jerry says.
Elvis' eyes go wide once again.
"A werewolf? You know a werewolf? Good thinking."
Jerry nods as Elvis looks over at Mama LaRue.
"Can you bring the cooking pot with Jor's blood with us, please?"
"No body takes my pot!" Mama LaRue shouts. Her island accent thick.
"Mama LaRue, please. It's very important that we take the pot with us so we can use the location spell to find Jor."
Jerry tugs on Elvis' arm, escorting from out the temple.
"Elvis, we got this," Jerry says. "Mama LaRue, thank you. I'll see you Sunday."
Jerry shouts back and pulls Elvis along.
"Jerry, you tell that granddaughter of mine to see me before Sunday!" Mama LaRue shouts.
"Yes, ma'am!" Jerry replied.
Elvis looks back at Mama LaRue as Jerry pulls him away from her.
"Thanks again, Mama LaRue."
He turns to Jerry as they walk back up the alleyway.
"Do you know where this werewolf lives? Where are we going?" Elvis speaks excitedly. "We're going to track Jor so we can save her!"
"Lenny is at the Juju Bar, and I made a call to Alyssa. She said one of the neighbors carried a drunk girl upstairs to the top floor of the Houscienda," Jerry tells Elvis as they walk back to the Juju Bar.
Elvis smiles excitedly.
"I see. So we're going to the Juju Bar to find Lenny, our friendly werewolf acquaintance. And then he's going to help us track Jor to the top floor of the Houscienda. Sounds good!"
He pauses for a moment.
"I'm looking forward to this. It's been a while since I've done some good vampire work."
Elvis smiles at Jerry. This puts him in the mind of the good Ole days. Him and the boys in their adventures days. Party every day without sleeping for days at a time. Girls by the dozens, which meant a never-ending supply of blood. He couldn't find love like that. Jordee opened up his heart. Which is why he has to find her.
Five minutes later, Elvis and Jerry find Lenny standing outside the Juju Bar. There's a brief introduction between Elvis and Lenny. They fully discuss the plan for Jordee's rescue. Elvis gives Lenny a cloth with his blood on it. In his blood, traces of Jordee's blood lie there. It's just enough to pick up her scent.
They head over to the French quarters, which is just a block away from the bar.
"I'm picking up something." Lenny says. Being a lycantrope (werewolf) gives him the advantage to sniff out Jordee.
Elvis puts on a smile as he speaks to Lenny.
"That's great news. I want to find Jor as quickly as possible. We don't know how much longer Bianca will hold her hostage..." He pauses in thought. "What exactly are you picking up? Her blood trail?"
He looks excited at the thought of getting Jordee back.
"Is she close?"
"Yeah. From the blood cloth you've given me earlier. I smell a hurt female vamp. Young. In a lot of pain." Lenny expresses.
Elvis nods in understanding. The news concerns him.
He worries about Jor and how Bianca might be hurting her.
"That's a big problem. You said she was in pain... what does that mean? What's causing her pain?"
"The blood I'm smelling is from opened wounds. She's been cut several times," Lenny confesses.
Elvis' worries grow as he listens to Lenny's answer. He's disgusted by the thought of what Bianca might be doing to Jor.
"Open wounds? This is bad. It sounds like Bianca is hurting Jor terribly. Why?" Elvis pauses for a moment. "How do we rescue her from Bianca's clutches?"
"That's where the rescue comes in. We know she's close, but what room of the Houscienda?" Jerry says.
"Jer!" A girl shouts from up on a balcony.
She has beautiful, dark, curly braids that shape around her face. Her skin is a sun-kissed ebony across her slinder figure. Her brown eyes brighten the night.
"Hey, baby. Can we come up?" Jerry asked.
The young woman wiggles her finger at him to come up.
"Elvis, that's Alyssa. My girlfriend. She has th perfect view for a shakeout. Let's go."
Elvis smiles and nods his head. He follows along with Jerry with Lenny following behind, and they go up the stairs to meet Alyssa.
"Hello, Alyssa. It's nice to meet you."
He smiles and offers her his hand. Alyssa shakes his hand and states at him a bit.
"I can't believe I'm meeting Elvis Presley. Come in, please."
Alyssa slides over to let Elvis and Lenny through but stops in front of Jerry. She blocks his way through, placing her arms on the door frame.
"Jer. You know you have to pay to get in. Where's my cut?"
Jerry kisses Alyssa and picks her up out of his way, spinning her around. This is Jerry's payment for entry. Elvis smiles as he watches Jerry pick up Alyssa. He shakes his head in amusement. He is used to Jerry's love for mischief. Jerry walks into proudly. Alyssa shuts the door and locks it.
He walks through the door and into the Houscienda. His eyes go wide as they take in the beauty of the place. Elvis looks around with a mixture of awe and curiosity.
"Wow... this is a really nice place, Alyssa. Do you live here?"
"Yes, we do," Alyssa answers.
"This is a beautiful place to live."
He looks around the Houscienda, his eyes wandering to the decorations and artwork on the walls. There's a great balcony that faces the courtyard. After a moment, he turns back to Alyssa. He can't hide his concern and worry.
"Do you know Jor and Bianca? Are they nearby? We need to find Jor before Bianca hurts her again."
"Do you have a picture?" Alyssa asked. "That could help. I have neighbors who see everyone and everything. There's a chance I've seen them."
Elvis nods his head and pulls his phone out of his pocket. He starts flipping through photos as he looks for pictures to show Alyssa. He shows her two separate photographs of Bianca and Jordee.
"Yes, I have a picture of both Jor and Bianca... ah, here! Do you recognize these two?"
He waits to see her response as Alyssa looks at the pictures. Her eyes widen as she inspects their photo. She flips back and forth through them. Shock rocks her o the core.
"Wow! Elvis, are they twins?" She asks.
"Alyssa, Bianca is more like Jor's doppelganger. They aren't related. But they look a like," Elvis further explained.
"Like the Vampire Diaries? That's crazy." Alyssa says, pausing to examine the pictures more. "I actually saw this one yesterday." Alyssa points out Bianca.
Elvis' eyes go wide at her answer. He looks excited and hopeful.
"You saw Bianca yesterday? Where did you see her?"
He waits to hear her response as he watches Alyssa point to Bianca.
"That's her there!" He nods his head in agreement with Alyssa.
"Yeah. I was walking in as she was walking out. She's a bit eccentric. She always has four to five guys with her. I rarely see her alone. Ms. Pam from next door said she came in tonight wasted," Alyssa says.
Elvis takes note of the information that Alyssa just gave them.
"I see. Do we know where Bianca stays? Where do you find her most of the time?"
Jerry looks to Alyssa for an answer. Alyssa points out the open window, leading to the courtyard with several rear windows.
"They live across the yard."
Elvis looks across the empty courtyard, vast with azalea bushes that surround a brick path.
In the center of the courtyard, a small water fountain. No where near as large as the fountain Elvis and Jordee played in a month prior. He listens to the water as it pours out of its chamber.
Elvis ponders about that day. It seemed so long ago. Jordee was so beautiful holding her camera. She was laughing and smiling the whole day. Come to think of it, that was the last day of Jordee's humanity before he turned her. Elvis starts to think maybe Jordee was better off without him.
"So," Alyssa starts. "What's the plan, guys? You can't go knocking on doors. You need a plan, fellas. You start knocking. She can run and take Jor with her. We need a solid plan."
Elvis looks over at Alyssa as he speaks. "You're right; we do need a plan to rescue Jor. There are five of us. We have to be cautious. I think it would be safe to start by just looking in the windows."
"Yeah. I'm good. I have binoculars and remember what I said. The chick has four to five guys on her. All the time."
"Good. Let's take a look and see if we can see anything through the windows. Kill the lights."
He and Jerry look through the windows carefully. They look for any sight of Jordee or Bianca.
Alyssa asked Jerry to turn out the lights, so no one could see they snooping. She opens her window and points out the apartment.
Alyssa spies through her binoculars for a moment.
"Guys, I see movement in that open window over there."
Elvis looks over at Alyssa with excitement. He waits in suspense for her answer as he watches her look through the binoculars.
"Alyssa, that's great. What do you see in the open window?"
Alyssa pauses to explain the scene.
"Someone's pacing, I think, a lady. Two guys are sitting at a small table playing cards. I see someone in a corner. A girl. Curl dark hair."
Elvis' eyes light up with excitement at Alyssa's answer. He looks at Jerry with excitement.
"Yes, that sounds like it's the place. There are always men with Bianca. And now Jor is there, too."
Elvis is ready to charge in the room like Galahad to rescue his girl. He messed up, and he needed to fix it. He let Jordee walk out when he should have run after her. Alyssa chimes in with a plan.
"Guys. If you hear me out. I have a plan," Alyssa starts.
Elvis listens to Alyssa's plan with interest.
"Lenny can be the decoy and knock at the door. Elvis, you and Jerry can sneak in through the french windows and get Jor."
"I like your plan, Alyssa. That sounds like a good idea. Lenny, you can be the decoy and knock on the door. Jerry and I will sneak in through the french windows and get Jor."
He turns to Jerry.
"That's the plan, Jerry. Are you ready to rescue Jor?"
"Let's do it." Jerry says.
One by one, Elvis, Jerry, and Lenny leave the dark apartment. Alyssa watches from the window as her plan is placed into action. Lenny follows her bloody scent to apartment 4C. Elvis and Jerry wait patiently for Lenny to knock on the door so they can sneak up the balcony.
Elvis and Jerry look at each other, and they nod their heads, ready to go. Elvis' heart pounds in anticipation.
"Come on, Lenny. Knock on that door."
He speaks with a mixture of excitement and impatience. He then looks at Jerry and speaks in a quiet tone.
"It's time for us to go. Are you ready?"
Jerry nods his head. Lenny bangs his fist on the door. Elvis watches Lenny and listens to the sound of him knocking on the door. He looks at Jerry and nods his head.
"Jerry, go."
He waits for Jerry to start sneaking his way over to the window.
Elvis watches Jerry as he waits for him to give the signal that he is in position.
Lenny is banging at the door. The door opens to a large hulking guard patrolling the door. The body guard speaks.
"What do you want?" The large guy asks.
Lenny's eyes widened at the size of this guy as he towered over him.
"Man, you are huge!" Lenny expresses.
"Excuse me?" The guard says.
"Not why I'm here, sir. My fault. I'm Lenny Gavin. I'm the manager of the complex. I had some of the attendees complaining about noise coming from here. I'd like to know what's going on!?!"
As Lenny distracts the guard, Elvis and Jerry climb up the balcony.
"Paul! Who is it at the door!?!?" Bianca shouts.
Elvis is ready to rescue his lady love. This is the time to act. Jerry and Elvis make it to the tip window and peek through the sheer drapes. They both look shocked and horrified by what they are seeing.
They see Jordee tied up in the corner shaking. Her face displays pure pain covered in blood, and her hands are bound with rope. Her clothes are visibly ripped and soiled with blood.
Elvis and Jerry look at each other from outside the window. They look at each other and exchange a nod. It's time.
They sneak in through the window quickly and run over to Jordee to try to untie her. They try their best to be careful and not make too much noise.
Jordee stirs as they try to untie her bounds. She opens her eyes and catches a glimpse of him.
"Elvis?" Jordee speaks weakly.
Elvis looks at Jordee as she moves her head to see him. He tries carefully to move her head to look into her eyes and speak to her.
"Jor? Jor?" Elvis asks, trying to get Jordee to open her eyes once more. "It's okay, Jor. We're going to get you out."
He tries to speak in a quiet voice. He smiles at her and speaks to her with great kindness. He looks at Jerry.
"Help me untie Jor. Quick," Elvis says.
Jerry unties her legs as Elvis unties her arms. They try to be gentle as possible. Elvis sees the rope burns left on her wrist, and it tears his heart to shreds. How could he allow this to happen to her?
Back at the door, Lenny gets louder with Bianca and her men. Allowing Elvis and Jerry to escape with Jordee.
"Ma'am, if you are disturbing my people, you're gonna have to leave!!!" Lenny shouts to let Elvis and Jerry know they're running out of time.
"You smell of werewolf!" Bianca says, looking Lenny up and down with disgust. "Fools! Who's watching Jordee if are here me!?!"
Elvis' head snaps up towards the door as he and Jerry gently pick Jordee up.
Elvis quickly unties Jordee's hands. She's scared and a bit disoriented. She tries to stand up but badly hurt, and her body's been through a lot.
Bianca runs back to the room and finds Elvis and Jerry freeing Jordee. Elvis looks at Bianca and speaks with a firm tone.
"I'm taking Jor now. She's done nothing wrong, Bianca. You're not going to stop me."
Bianca smiles and screams, "Kill them all!!!"
Lenny jumps on the large guard and breaks his neck. Elvis places Jordee on the other side of the bed out of harms way. Jerry starts fighting the two men in front of him. Punching and kicking his way through. Elvis kicks the legs out from under one guy and breaks his neck as Bianca watches the whole display unfold.
Elvis looks at Bianca and speaks to her in a calm but firm tone.
"Please, Bianca. Release Jor and back away. I don't want to hurt you."
He looks over at Jordee, worry filling his vein, causing his blood to run cold.
"I'm getting you out of her, Jor. Hold on."
He turns back to Bianca and gives her one final chance.
"Release Jor. Let's just all get along, okay? We all want the best for Jor."
"No, we don't, Elvis." Bianca scoffs. "I want her dead. I want my throne."
Elvis' expression changes to one of anger. His voice grows loud and firm as he speaks to her.
"Why do you want Jor dead? She's never done anything to you. You don't always have to get what you want. Sometimes, you have to learn how to compromise, Bianca."
"I wanted you, Elvis. As your queen, I could have done so much. But you chose her over me. What does she have that I don't?" Bianca says, her voice filled with anger.
Elvis looks over at Jordee, and he speaks with a soft tone once again.
"It's not about what Jor has that you don't, Bianca. It's more about how I feel when I'm with her. It's something I can't describe. She's just so wonderful and we love each other very much."
He looks at Jordee and speaks softly with a smile.
"Jor is kind and loving. She's caring and compassionate. She's everything you are not, Bianca. She's mine."
Bianca is full of rage, anger, and resentment. Her chest heaves as Elvis' words sink into her mind, and her blood runs frigid.
"She dies tonight. Since I don't get my throne. I'll have her head. How's that for a compromise, your Majesty?"
Elvis quickly steps forward to protect Jordee, blocking her way to get to her. He's not taking any chances with Jordee's safety. He looks at her with a cold stare.
"Stay back, Bianca. I won't warn you again about hurting Jor."
Bianca punches Elvis in the face, knocking him back a few steps. He shakes it off and turns to look at Bianca. His anger makes him more determined than ever to keep Jordee safe.
"You made a mistake, Bianca. Now you're really in trouble."
Elvis speaks with force as he lunges at Bianca and attacks her. He fights her with all of his strength, trying to hold her down. He doesn't want her to have a chance to hurt Jordee anymore.
"I won't stop until she's dead or I'm dead!" Bianca screams.
Elvis and Bianca are locked in a heated struggle. They go at each other without mercy. Their anger fuels them to use every bit of strength they can muster. Bianca scratches Elvis cheek.
"She dies tonight!" Bianca shouts.
Elvis speaks softly and firmly to Bianca. Looking at her with confidence and determination.
"No. I won't let you hurt anyone. Not Jor. Not anyone. You need to understand that. You're not going to get your way, Bianca."
"You can't just go around hurting innocent people. You shouldn't want to do that. That's just wrong. What happened to the woman I loved?"
"You can't compromise with me, Elvis. I'm beyond that." Bianca says, punching Elvis in the face once more.
Bianca tries running to the door, but Elvis grabs her by the throat and chokes her.
"Bianca, no." Elvis says, tears trickle down his cheeks. He didn't want to kill her, but he realized there's no other choice. He chooses Jordee. "I'm sorry. I didn't want this."
Bianca struggles against him as long as she can until finally, Elvis snaps her neck. Elvis looks down in shock at the lifeless Bianca. He lets go of her throat and slowly sets her down on the floor. He is stunned at his actions.
He takes a few deep breaths and wipes his face with his hands. Jordee needs him now.
"Jor... we need to get Jor out of here. Now."
He speaks with urgency and looks over at Jerry speaking in a quiet tone as there's a knock at the door.
"Jerry, what's the plan to get rid of this mess?"
"We need to do a clean-up, boys," Lenny says. "I'll answer the door and get the guy away. Hide the bodies."
Lenny walks to the door and sweet talks his way to the guy outside. Lenny throws him off the trail and charms his way out of a bad jam.
Jerry moves some of the bodies quietly out of sight.
Elvis gets a wet rag from the bathroom and runs to Jordee. He wipes her face and kisses her softly. He gently rocks her. Tears in his eyes.
"I'm here, Jor. I'm here. I'm so sorry. I love you so much. Jor, I'm here. I'm here. I'm so glad you're safe. I love you so much."
Elvis kisses Jordee on the forehead and slowly caresses her face. He wipes away her tears and kisses her softly once again.
"I'm so sorry for everything I put you through. I should have listened to you. I was wrong. I am so sorry."
Jordee opens her eyes and looks at Elvis. Tears rolling down her face.
"You came," Jordee whispers out weakly.
Elvis smiles warmly at Jordee and wipes away her tears.
"Of course, I did. I would always come for you, Jor. Always. I'm here for you, Jor. I'm always here for you. You're mine."
He leans down and kisses her softly on the lips. He strokes her hair and holds her in his arms.
"You didn't... come after me."
Elvis looks at her with a mixture of surprise and confusion. He can't quite understand why she would say that.
"What do you mean? Did you want me to come after you?"
"You... chose... her."
"Why would you say that? I never chose her over you."
"At... the... apartment. You... let me... go. You... didn't... come after me."
Jordee struggles to get the words out. She's in so much pain. It's taking forever for her wounds to heal. Even a young vampire's wounds heal quickly, but it's as if Jordee's are bleeding out. Elvis holds out her arm, seeing the bruises and cuts aren't healing.
"Why aren't you healing?" Elvis breathes as the tears wail in his eyes.
Elvis looks at her and he puts his hands on her temples. He strokes her hair and he speaks to her in a quiet, loving tone.
"Jor, let's get you somewhere safe. I'm getting you help right now. I'm gonna get you through this. Just hang in there."
He kisses her forehead and picks up Jordee's shaking body in his arms.
"Okay, the clean up crew will be here in ten minutes. They'll handle this mess. I'll stay here and wait." Lenny says.
"We got Mama LaRue, Elvis. She can help Jor," Jerry said with complete certainty and confidence.
Elvis looks at Jerry and smiles.
"Mama LaRue? That's a great idea. If anyone can help Jor, it's Mama LaRue. Can you get me in touch with her? We need her to come here right away."
Elvis speaks with urgency, as he's starting to worry about Jordee's wellbeing. Her cuts start to ooze.
Jerry's cell phone goes off, and he looks at it. Alyssa is calling him. Jerry answers the call and puts Alyssa on speaker.
"Jer, my grandmother is over here waiting for you," Alyssa says.
"She's here?!" Elvis exclaimed.
"Elvis, bring her over now. No one's in the courtyard. Bring her here, quick," Alyssa says.
Elvis wastes no time. He covers Jordee up with a blanket and runs out the front door as quickly as possible with Jerry behind him. They leave Lenny alone at Bianca's apartment with the clean-up crew.
Elvis and Jerry make it to Alyssa's apartment with Jordee in tow. Mama LaRue is there with a big carpet bag. Ready to work.

Tumblr media
I match you with: ITADORI and NISHINOYA
Runner-ups: Gojo and Atsumu
Itadori:
Tumblr media
Itadori is such a great match for you; he’s funny, supportive, and a guy you can take home to meet your parents
He’s as honest and understanding as they come
Yuuji sees the best in everyone, and that especially includes you!
His favorite thing to do is make you laugh
Since you don’t talk about yourself much, Itadori is always asking you tons of questions to gets the answers out of you–he wants to know everything about you and hopes you’ll trust him as much as you trust your older sister
He brings a well balanced chaos to your calmness, which I think matches perfectly
Things are always exciting between you, there’s never a dull moment together
Naturally, you find yourself becoming more confident about yourself because he’s ALWAYS complimenting you; telling you how pretty you are and how lucky he is to be with you
Loves watching anime with you, I think he’d be all over something like that
Introducing him to your family…
As i said earlier, your parents would love Itadori
He’s a great guy!
I think he’d ask you before hand what your parents like so he can bring something over in an attempt to get on their good side, but little does he know that they already like him
Your big sister would approve, and your younger sibling would find him so cool
Afterwards, he’d go on and on about how nervous he was but that it all worked out
He’ll tell you how much he loves your family and can’t wait to see them again!
Nishinoya:
Tumblr media
I think you and Nishinoya would be fun together
It would be like having a best friend as your boyfriend, which I personally really like–means you’ll be really comfortable with him
He treats you like a queen, ready to do anything to please you and make you happy
You’d find it very easy to trust him–as loud as he is, he wears his heart on his sleeve, he’s a genuine guy who lives life having a great time, and now you’re part of that great time
I imagine him teaching you how to play volleyball with him–or at least teaching you enough so you can hit the ball so he can practice receiving it, making sure it never hits the floor
You give him a boost of energy whenever he sees you standing in the crowd cheering for him
He’d loudly call out to you and send you hand hearts lol
Nishinoya loves how excited you get over the things you love and he finds himself also getting excited over them
He’s the definition of matching energy, he’s always on the same wave-length as you; if you’re happy he’s even happier, and if you’re sad he is as well, though he’d do whatever he can to change that (make you happy again)
Meeting your family…
It’s like he’s going over to a friends house
He’s very comfortable around your family and speaks to them with respect, but with the same level of comfort as he would his own family
So depending on your parents, they’d either love or hate this (but how can you hate Nishinoya, he’s so great)
Either way though, he’s just having a great time, and would entertain the heck out of your younger sibling, he 100000% has the energy for it
Your older sister would be happy to see you with someone so full of life, knowing he’d take care of you and treat you well
Afterwards, he’s already making plans with your dad to meet up again and excitedly talks about it for days to come
He’s unbothered and social, I think it would go great

perspective flip featuring evander!!!
There's a quick and simple way of finding out everything we know to send Mina back. It works out great for everyone involved except me, which is the reason I've been avoiding it up until now. I honestly thought there was a better way of going about it, but at this point, all I'm doing is delaying the inevitable.
Time to get it over with.
With great regret, I turn to Mina. She's busy tapping at Allison's phone, but she still immediately catches the movement, looking at me as if I'm her next great entertainment in the making.
"You're going to need to tie me up," I tell her resignedly.
Predictably, Mina perks up, horrible smirk spreading across her face. "Ooooh?" she drawls, drawing up far too close to me as she twirls a lock of Allison's fringe. "Is that the kind of thing you're into? Sweetheart, you should have said, we could have been having so much fun. I've been told I'm very good with knots --"
God.
I wait. Eventually, she realizes she's not going to get a reaction today and pouts up at me. "What, really? Nothing? Seriously? Honestly? Truly?"
"Try again tomorrow. Are you done."
Mina crosses her arms. "Hm, well, I suppose. You're even less fun than usual today. Fine. What, exactly, do you want, and why?"
I hate saying this kind of thing. "I'd like you to restrain me," I enunciate carefully, "because if you don't, I'm going to claw my eyes out."
Silence.
Does it surprise her, to hear me finally admit it? Mina's perfectly still, with just a slight twitch in her expression to give her away. I wonder if I've finally said something capable of shutting her up.
"Is that also the kind of thing you're into? I have to admit, it's not exactly to my taste."
No such luck.
"I don't think it's to anyone's taste."
"Then -- in case you haven't considered this option -- may I suggest not doing it in the first place?"
"Do you think I want to?" I snap, but... that's not quite right.
I don't want to, at the moment. I will, in approximately five minutes.
Let's explain.
"These things," I say flatly, gesturing towards my eyes. "You're right about them."
Mina smiles unpleasantly. "Of course I'm right, darling. What about?"
"They're valuable."
She'd been saying that since the very beginning. Such pretty eyes. What a lovely, vibrant shade of blue. "The kind of blue people paid money for," she told me, with a twisted little smirk, because she's a terrible person that likes seeing me afraid. "The sort people would steal right out of your skull to own, don't you know?"
Don't you know. She didn't know that's true in this world, too.
Mina tilts her head, tapping her fingers on her forearm as she meets my eyes. "Valuable," she repeats contemplatively. She's not actually dumb, as much as she likes acting like it; she connects the facts quickly enough. "Your sight? They let you perceive things other people can't. That's transferable, then, if someone takes your eyes?"
"That's pretty much it."
"...What does that have to do with clawing your own eyes out, then? Putting aside the usual pointlessness of destroying your body like that, you'd be getting rid of a valuable resource."
I shake my head. "At a certain point, it's not just seeing better than other people. It's... seeing everything. About everything. Ever."
Another pause. "That's... omniscience. You're speaking about omniscience. That's the domain of gods."
Yes, that's the problem, actually.
Theoretically, I could know everything about everything ever, and it would be incredibly simple of me accomplish. All I would need to do is tear down the barrier I keep over my eyes, and I could see... everything. But the human brain was never meant to hold infinite knowledge. The feeling... I could describe it as my mind leaking out of my ears, but that's not enough. Nothing is enough to handle infinity but infinity itself and I'm a normal person.
Do you understand what it was like? Everything about everything funneled through my head all at once? I couldn't -- I didn't -- I hated everything -- I'd do anything to make it stop, to never go through it again --
There's an obvious simple solution that occurs to me, every time I go through this. So easy to make it stop, forever. I can't see anything about anything if I don't have eyes anymore, right?
I still have scars from the last time I tried that.

Me and the other interns run after Yang and a couple other doctors.
"What do we got?"
"A gas main blew in an apartment building. Five injured, some badly." Dr. Torres explains.
"Excellent." Yang says before seeing their faces.
"Horrible. It's horrible. Sad." She corrects.
"Marla Kristler, 34-year-old female, abdomen blown out, skull fracture, third degree burns over at least 40% of her body." The paramedic rushes the woman inside.
"Okay, I got this. Open O.R. two. Page Dr. Shepherd, Torres, triage the rest." The chief says.
"Yes, sir. Yang, you're with the chief. Go." Torres yells.
"One, three, come with me." Yang points to one of the interns and then Lexie.
"What about us?" I ask.
"Help Bailey in the clinic." She responds.
I blow Lexie a kiss and run over to the clinic.
-
I scribble things down in my notepad as I follow Dr. Bailey.
"Rooms one and seven are private and should be used for private conversations with patients, not for closed-door socializing. All carts are set up the same. Memorize where everything is."
"Will we be able to do procedures on our own?" The guy with me asks.
"No. You are interns. You are in charge of nothing. All procedures will be discussed and overseen by an upper level. All charts will be signed out by an upper level. And all patients will be looked at by someone other than you!"
"What if we can't find anyone?" I ask.
"You page them."
"Right." I say as she walks off.
-
I look up to see Meredith walking in the clinic.
"Hey. Are you working here today?" I ask her.
"I don't know."
"Great. We have no idea what we're doing. Plus, I was really hoping we'd get a chance to speak."
-
"Dr. Grey. I was wondering." I say as I stand next to her.
"Do you know where the thermometers are?"
"Do you really not know where the thermometers are? Or are you just looking for an excuse to talk to me?"
I go to speak but she cuts me off.
"It's a simple question. Are you an idiot or a stalker?"
I don't say anything, and she gets a sympathetic look on her face.
"Okay. That was a mean thing to say. I'm aware of that because I'm generally not a mean person. But I'm a person who just doesn't want to know you. And you are two people who are making that very difficult. So please, just stop making it so difficult for me to not know you. Okay?"
After a few minutes, I talk again.
"We're nice people. Okay? We are. And I don't know what it is that we did to you, but, you know, we have the same dad. So we were just thinking that a simple conversation—"
"We don't have the same dad. We do not have the same dad, Lizzie. My dad disappeared when I was 5 years old, and I never saw him again. Does that sound like the daddy you grew up with?"
I shake my head.
"I kicked a man out of my bed in the middle of the night. The world's most perfect man, who loves me, and I can't let him. And it doesn't take a shrink to figure out why. Because our dad chose you. So I'm sure you two are very nice girls. But I hope you can understand. You aren't people I ever wanted to have to know."
She walks away.
Definitely a fail.
-
Lexie and I are doing our charts when Meredith walks up to me
"Hey, I'm filling in for Cristina. So, how's it going?"
"I pulled a splinter out of a guy's toe." Lexie says.
"And now we're writing about it." I follow.
"Okay. Well, if you have any questions—"
"We have a lot of questions, just not about a splinter." I say.
Just then, someone barges in the E.R. with a gurney.
"40-year-old unrestrained driver in a rollover M.V.C."
"Trauma one." Meredith blurts out.
"Lost vitals on the scene, and we were unable to intubate."
"Lexie, Lizzie, come on!" Meredith yells, and we follow her.
"Open the intubation tray. How long's he been down?"
"Took ten minutes to load him, fourteen to get here, so twenty-four."
"Push another epi."
"You know how to intubate?" She asks me.
"I've never done it."
"But you've seen it done?"
"Yeah, a few times."
"Okay. Come do one now."
I go up to the patient.
"Visualize the cords, pull straight up, watch the tube go through the cords." She talks me through it.
"I can't see the cords. You should do it." I panic.
"No. You can do it, okay? Just don't rock up against the teeth. Just pull straight up."
"Pulse ox is down to 86."
I take a deep breath and do as she says.
-
"It wasn't bad." She says.
"What?" I ask, staring at the body.
"That wasn't bad for your first intubation." Meredith repeats.
"Is that some kind of joke? The guy is dead. He died."
"He was dead when he came in here. He was dead on the scene. He was dead for 15 minutes in the ambulance. He was dead before I asked you to intubate."
"You're pretty cavalier, don't you think? They brought him here for help." Lizzie says as Meredith looks up.
"They brought him here because they're legally required to. I had Lizzie intubate because I'm required to teach you, and that is how you learn."
"No. No, you should have done everything that you could." She continues.
"That was everything that I could."
"Well, what kind of doctor are you?" I yell.
"What is this about?"
I pause.
"If you don't want to learn from me, that's fine. But I have to cover the pit today. So why don't you do all of us a favor and go help Bailey in the clinic?"
"Fine." I whisper and walk off.
-
I turn a corner to see Bailey.
"Dr. Bailey. Dr. Grey sent me down here to work with you."
"Oh, she did, did she? And why is that?"
"Honestly, she didn't want to work with me anymore. She kicked me out."
"You can go tell Dr. Grey that the clinic is not a dumping ground for strays. We are not the island of broken interns. Please go tell her that." She finishes as she grabs a bag and walks off.
I follow her.
"Please don't make me do that. I can't work with Meredith Grey. I can't work with her because I can't look at her. Because she hates me, she hates my twin sister, she hates my dad, and she obviously hated my mother. Please just let me work down here today. Please, Dr. Bailey." I beg her with tears in my eyes.
After a moment of thinking, she speaks.
"Kid in curtain three needs stitches. Go."
I silently thank her and walk off.
-
"Hey, Lex, what does this word mean again?" I ask as I point to my paper with a pen.
She quickly jots down the definition under it and I smile at her.
When Meredith walks up, Lexie is annoyed.
"What?"
"I have your mother's death note here. Everything that happened on the day she died is in here. And I know because I wrote it. So? I'd like to go over it with you two if that’s okay."
"Yeah." I whisper.
"Okay, first of all, let me just say that everything that happened that day— every setback— there was a one percent chance of each of those things happening. One percent. And your mother was the one percent."
She pauses for a moment before flipping a page.
"She came in complaining of persistent hiccups. We did an endoscopic fundoplication."
"You did it endoscopically?" I ask.
"So it would be an outpatient procedure. We wanted to avoid major surgery. For what it's worth, I was very fond of your mother. I was very fond of her." She says as we share a sympathetic look.
-
"Yeah. This is a third-degree burn. You said you were cooking with hot oil?" I ask the woman in the clinic bed.
"Yes. It all splashed onto me."
"You'll be just fine. To make sure you don't get any type of infection, I'm gonna go ahead and page our head of plastics."
"As in plastic surgery? I don't want plastic surgery."
"He does handle plastic surgery, but he also works on burns like yours, and with it being on such a big area, I don't think you want an intern like me to handle it myself."
-
"You're the Grey that paged me?" I hear a voice from behind me.
"Yes, Dr. Sloan. There's a woman in bed four with third-degree burns. I've never tended to them myself."
He gives me a look before walking me over to where the woman is laying.
"Wendy, this is Dr. Sloan, our head of plastics."
"Grey, go get a burn kit." Mark says as he puts on gloves.
"Yes, sir."
-
"Your burns weren't too bad, but the bandaging may be uncomfortable." I explain to Wendy.
I undo the roll of bandages and begin wrapping it around her torso.
"Are you two a thing?" She asks me with a look on her face.
"Me and Dr. Sloan? No. No, no, no. We're not a thing." I laugh.
"I saw the way he looked at you. Don't lie to me, girl. He's is a good-looking man, and you seem like a very sweet girl." She laughs back.
"Uhm, I just met him a few days ago. It's not like that."
"You're blushing. Do you like him?"
"I don't know, ma'am. I don't know." I say as I finish her bandages.
"Ms. Bauer, you should be good to go. Come back to the clinic in a few days so I can check how you're healing."
"I will if you make a move on him." She jokes as she grabs her purse and gets up.
-
"And he kept putting his hands on mine and whispering in my ear. I felt like I was boiling in my skin." I say tensly.
Lexie sits at the end of the bed I'm laying on, eating an apple.
"Sounds like you have the hots for McSteamy." She jokes.
"I'm not ready for this, Lex. After the last guy."
"The last guy was the first guy."
"Yeah, I know. But I told him because we had gone on six amazing dates, and I thought he would understand. I woke up the next morning to a note of him calling me a whore."
"I know, Liz. It's gonna be okay. Not every guy is like him. Sloan seems nice, and I don't think he would do that. He seems to have the hots for you, too." She slaps my leg.
"You're hilarious."
"Did I tell you that the guy from the bar is Dr. Shepherd?"
"That's the guy from the bar? Your luck is shit, Lex." I laugh before covering my face with my arm.
"No. He's a good guy. He really, really loves Meredith. And he's good for her. He wants kids with her. He wants to marry her. When he didn't know who I was, he said no because he loves her. I know she doesn't like us, but she still deserves a good guy."
"True, true."

3 months later...
Yuna's POV
"Tae, baby," I run my fingers through his as he peacefully sleeps on my lap with his ear on my belly, "Wake up. My back hurts from sitting too long".
"Yes, dear," he groans as he gets up and stretches, "I was sensing our baby and watching his dreams."
I gasp. Did he say he? Or did I hear wrong? "He?"
"Yes," he smiles, "It's a baby boy," he rubs his nose on mine.
"How long did you know this for?" I ask.
"I've had a doubt for a few weeks," he smiles with his adorable bed hair, "I just confirmed it today. His dreams seem so calming, my dear."
"What are his dreams?" I ask curiously. Taehyung started sensing our baby from when it turned two months. He would watch his dreams and tell me what they were. Mostly, his dreams were just noises and things he heard from outside. Once Taehyung told me that he was dreaming the song Taehyung wrote and sang for him. I always felt my heart melt into puddles when I hear that. Taehyung could also sense the baby's discomfort. He often tells me, "Dear... not to make you feel bad or uncomfortable but I think the baby isn't feeling great in your position. Just turn this way. Perfect," he'd end it with a satisfied grin.
"He dreamt Yoongi's guitar," Taehyung grins, "I could hear Yoongi playing his guitar."
I gasp, "Really?"
"Yes," he kisses my belly, "He's dreaming everything he hears."
"I think he's a genius," I chuckle, "He's gonna be so lucky."
"He'll be the luckiest kid alive," Taehyung kisses my knuckles, "And he'll have so many siblings."
I blush at his statement. Taehyung had already made several plans for the future. He said that we'd have at least five kids and if possible, move into the castle or buy a bigger house. He rejected all my protests against buying a bigger house by saying, "They're kids. They'll need a lot of space to run around and play," he'd say it like our current mansion was a hut. Our current mansion is so huge, I used to get lost and end up frustrated. I can't imagine myself navigating a house bigger than this.
"Aren't you going to the company?" I ask, "What if they need you?"
"You need me more," he shrugs, "I don't care about my company. It's not that hard to build another one."
Taehyung hadn't left my side ever since the test report came back positive. He took care of everything himself. He would help me bathe even though I was fine doing it myself. Sometimes he'd even watch me at night reasoning that he doesn't want to waste a millisecond to help if I required something. He'd feed me, dress me, help me walk even though I can walk perfectly. Sometimes he even misses out on his own things. He'd forget to eat or something and I'd end up scolding him. Yoongi called him creepy but I could understand his worries. He lost me and his child once. He wasn't going to take another chance and let that happen.
"It's okay if you leave me for some time you know-" I try to reason but he cuts me off, "No, it's not okay."
"Okay, fine," I frown, "At least go eat something!"
"I'll ask the maids to bring something," he says as he gets up and walks to the door. He opens the door and yells, "Ahjumma!"
"Can you bring us something to eat?" He asks. I facepalm. He can't even leave me in the room and go downstairs. After a minute or so, I hear footsteps, "Yes, young master. I can get you food. What would you like to eat?"
He turns around and looks at me, "Are you craving anything?"
"I want chips," I reply.
"Alright," he nods, "Ahjumma, can you get her chips and me some rice with any sidedish?"
"Sure," she bows and leaves.
"Did you really have to bother her?" I ask as he sits on the bed looking at me intensely.
"She doesn't have health problems," he replies biting his lips, "She was woken up from death by me and is immortal. She'll be serving us forever."
I sigh feeling my cheeks warm up in his gaze, "Why are you looking at me like that?"
"Do you know, dear?" He licks his lips, "You look really sexy."
"What?" I chuckle shyly seeing his eyes raking me up and down.
"Your thighs look amazing," he says, "If you weren't pregnant, I probably would have-"
"Stop!" I cover his mouth, "The baby will hear."
He chuckles and removes my hand, "Let him. He should know how much his parents love each other and want each other. Only then he'll learn to love a person just like how we do."
"What will you do if he isn't straight?" I ask him genuinely wanting to know his answer and thoughts. I would let my child choose their sexuality as they feel. I'd never hold them back from being with a person they love from their heart.
"I don't mind," he smiles, "I don't care about gender, sexuality, appearance, nothing. This child is the fruit of our love and I'll always love it."
My eyes tear up from his words. He's just too sweet. I sometimes feel like I don't deserve him. I extend my arms to him and he shifts closer to me. He softly wraps his arm around my waist and pulls me into his chest, "I love you, dear."
"I love you more," I kiss his neck gently.

2 years later...
Taehyung's POV
"Please, bear. Be careful," I say as I watch my son thrashing his toys. He looks at me with moist eyes and I rush up from the couch to him, "What happened, bear?"
"Toy bad," he sobs.
"Toy bad?" I frown playfully, "It's okay. Don't talk to toy."
"But I love toy!" He stomps his foot.
"Then makeup with toy," I take the toy off the floor, "What did toy do?"
"Toy fell on leg," he scowls.
"Oh?" I chuckle, "Toy said sorry. See?" I bring the toy to his hear and say a high pitched sorry.
"Toy love me?" He asks.
"Yes, toy loves you, Taemin," I sigh and hand it to him.
"Taebear?" I hear my dear's sweet voice calling out to our son.
"He's here," I reply to her.
"What are my two babies doing on the floor?" She asks with a soft gaze.
"Bear just fought and made up with his toy," I reply rubbing my nose on his.
"Well," she walks to us with her hands on her hips, "Toy can wait because mumma needs bear to change his clothes."
"Bear is going to change clothes," I repeat her as I stand up with him in my arms, "Mumma has another bear in her tummy so we need to be a good example for bear number two," I place my hand on her belly and look at Taemin, "See bear number two?"
"Wes," he replies hiding his face in my neck.
"Sit down, dear," I rub her belly, "I'll change him and be right back."
She smiles saying, "Take your time," she sits down on the couch and plops her leg on the bean bag next to it. This was life... my perfect life. My wife, my son, another one on the way and me. The smile she wears when I played with our son was my home.
