You know, it might be petty of me but I like to imagine that all the people (with Xunfeng in the lead) who were against CangLan wedding feeling kinda guilty after everything. During 500 years that DFQC is gone AND after he returns.

Like, I’m mostly thinking of Cangyanhai people here, who opposed their wedding and made their last (proper) days together be saturated with an unnecessary amount of angst and pain and struggling.

XHL has undergone torture in the Fuju Cave to stay by their Moon Supreme’s side and to get their respect and acceptance, then killed herself to save him and return their 100.000 solders. And THEN their Moon Supreme sacrificed himself to save her and the world. And his whole life before that was all about fighting for the Moon Tribe and the only indulgence he had ever allowed himself was falling in love. But even that he was denied. By the whole world, but most importantly by his own people for whom he cared so much.

I like to think that after DFQC’s return and seeing him with XLH, just being happy together, Xunfeng, and the servants, and the guards, and just anyone who opposed their relationship at the time, are feeling extra guilty that they robbed them of that happiness back then.

I love the headcanon that Kaeya's corset is actually a back brace

In general I just love the idea that Kaeya has chronic pain and illness.

He's already got an eye patch! Yeah his eye "is fine" apparently, but it was hurt in The Fight™ with Diluc, and you know what Diluc fights with? Fire and a claymore. I'm not an eye expert but I'm pretty sure being hit in the eye with fire will cause at the very least some lasting damage. Canonically Kaeya can can still see out of it, so perhaps severe light sensitivity, maybe blurry vision to the point of vertigo.

But something about the corset being a back brace is near and dear to my heart. I love it! I've read it in so many fics and all these amazing writers come up with so many different reasons he need it, and I think it's lovely (lmfao I sound like a sadist).

Did he get it during The Fight™ when Diluc's burst slammed him into a rock, rendering him unable to move away fast enough before the next attack?

Did he get it when they were teenagers, when protecting his brother and captain from an incoming attack, making Diluc overly protective of him in the ranks for a good while, because gods know Kaeya himself had no self-preservation instinct and would do it again without hesitation?

Did he get it even earlier, when they were mere children, falling off the winery's roof because him and his brother were being silly little boys who didn't know better than to climb so high when playing pirates?

Oh gosh! 😂 As I said before, the ship is pretty much nonexistent and honestly the closest thing you'll get to a ship in the show is Jayce & Daniel lol I've wanted to compile images of all the times he's super handsy with him cuz it's comical how much it comes up. Daniel & Lucy is usually the ship people lean into most, and I can get that, but I was never a fan even in s1 personally.

This shit is homo lmao The show definitely has potential for some deeper lore and world building and what interested me a lot and part of why I dove deeper, but Jayce was who I clung to most with the potential of his character and he only comes up in s2. As a heads up: if you enjoy my stuff and have that expectation... you might not enjoy what's there in the show! Or you might anyway! Idk!! Well Gus by all he knows it's the only one of his moth species, as well as he grew up v much dealing with the fact that he wasn't human and was seen as a monster/cryptid [he does recognize his title being the "mothman" as his last name]

While Gus does end up able to talk and very much learned how to be a "person" per say- he kinda had to push himself to understand it! And to get what human customs were! which i imagine having to just try and copy it from people who are legit afraid of you its gotta be a bit hard to work with HJDFHJHD but he was never the giving up type

He only got really close to people at the age of 16 and finally gets the chance to interact with em much Much closer, eventually getting a best friend and a few more access to a few things (I don't have much specifics on this part of his life but! He does have a best friend called Jackie!)

When he finally meets more creatures n monsters like him it (possibly this being Scott n Don) happens once he's in his 20's but by then he already worked a few stuff out!
