"Dangerous" by LEFT BOY, was 1 of the many songs I associate with Jayce Chinda and thought it'd work good for a video with actual show clips! I'd like to do the whole song eventually maybe, but for now just wanted the loop! 1st time using Davinci Resolve 18.

Haven't done video editing since 2011 I think, but synching visual media to music make brain go brrrrr

Good fukken luck lmao” *distant screams of kidnappers as loved one escapes* or the flipside: “We’ve kidnapped you!” “You are in so much trouble. You are in so much fucking trouble. You are in the most trouble ever, oh my god.” *DOOR EXPLODES INWARDS AS LOVED ONE ARRIVES* and the alternate: *vehicle pulls up, door opens, person is shoved out, door slams, vehicle screeches away* “Did you get kidnapped??” “For a minute yeah”

These are actually some of the earliest pics I did when thinking of the AU, just never finished, but I should post them anyway! The pivotal moment of Jayce finally falling to the Dread's influence and opening the coffer, unleashing it in full.

I always felt like the moment should have been more dramatic and very apocalyptic level feeling of BAD THING happening, but it fell kind of short and was just needing to be wrapped up. Likely bc time and budget again sadly. Anyway, Jayce violently taken over with hardly any will left! 👍

I had been sitting on this since summer and have been wanting to share but it wasn't quite finished!! Think I finally can say it's mostly done now tho and am mostly satisfied lol

This is the end form design I have for Jayce when he finally opens the coffer with all the Dread Magic and he is just FUUUUCKED up on that shit and there's hardly any of him left in it at that point and it's very angsty and intense but I still plan to save him. Still working on how I resolve all this but sort of have a plan. It's gonna be a rough time for everyone.

I really messed with his designs for a while on how fucked up he should get by the end and didn't feel satisfied, but then ended up with a fucking kaiju demon anyway, whoops. I just wanted a design that felt worthy of something that actually felt apocalyptic. :) (normal form Jayce is there for scale lol)

On the list of relationships that Jayce has fucked up bc of the Dread.🙃

Have a bit in the Bleeding Magic AU where Shak got into a private area he had for a power crystal that was helping him sustain the Dread for as long as he had, but it had already started to become fragile at this point as it drained and her checking it out had part of it crumble off, which only gave him a surge of the Dread's power over him unfortunately...

Being siblings, this kind of stuff is pretty commonplace... but he would normally never react this badly over it to her. She was searching around for clues, trying to find ways she could help his condition, and She ends up running away and he only realizes after he's able to cool down a bit and panics. Contacts everyone he knows to help get a search party together and is desperate and his form is all over the place and he can hardly care to bother hiding it, even when searching on NYC streets. This raises concern from everyone else and what happened in general.

They eventually find Shak and Jayce is full of regret for scaring her off like that and doesn't want to be that kind of person. This is only one of the earlier steps of his descent...

Do other writers ever get this like, hyper-specific dialogue exchange drop into their brains and you know exactly where these character are standing and what they’re doing and how they’re saying these words but that’s all you get. You don’t have much other context and this specific moment that exists only at this time in your headspace??

Is it just me or did our generation (those of is who are currently 20-30 ish) just not get the opportunity to be young in the 'standard' sense?

Like, everyone I talk to who's over 40 has all their wild stories about their teens and 20s, being young and dumb, and then I talk to my friends and coworkers and classmates, and we just... dont.

grape hyacinths are one of my favorite spring ephemerals. not only are they adorable, but the flowers can be used for making syrup that tastes faintly and sweetly of grapes.

and if that’s not your thing, they can also be used for making color-changing ink. the initial ink might look purple in color, but as it hits the paper and begins to dry it will turn blue. and if you add an acid, it will turn pink. and if you add a basic it will turn green (you can do this with the syrup, too!)

this happens because of naturally-occurring pigments called anthocyanins – the same pigments found in purple cabbage, violets, and blueberries!
