Waltz Within Chains Ch. 39 (A BakuDeku Omegaverse Au)

Chapter 39: Back to The Start

The smell of the salty sea air, the feel of sand against his skin. The sound of the waves crashing down below against the rocks at the bottom.

Familiar sounds from when he had been such a small boy. Just over that cliff he had tumbled down and a brave young dragon had caught him and brought him back to safety.

They had been inseperable ever since.

This was also the same beach that Izuku had presented, getting marked to the lvoe of his life despite not knowing.

They hadn't been back sine then which made him a little sad. This beach would always have a special place in his heart.

And it would have another reason to be such a special place. Haruki let out a babble, kicking his little legs as he sat on Izuku's lap. Izuku giggled from his seat under the shade of the makeshift sun covering they made for him to get ready in comfort. He poked his son's nose and the little dragon grabbed his finger, pulling it into his mouth and started to gum at it a bit. Truly an adorable sight he didn't want to ever forget.

“You're excited too little one?” Izuku asked, lenaing down to kiss his son's name. “I am too.”

Today would be the day that he would be wed to Katsuki.

No titles. No kingdom. Just them.

He wanted something small, something private where it was just those that were the closest to them. Kirishima with Mina had come, even the ones who helped them had come by: All Might and Mr. Aizawa.

And of course Queen Inko.

But today they had no titles. They were just one big family.

“Ready to see your Daddy Haruki?” Izuku asked with a grin. He was all ready to go. He was dressed in a simple white tunic with a green cloak on his hsoulders. Mina had made a crown of flowers to go around his head.

He didn't need all the fancy things to get married.

Haruki let out a small noise again around his finger and then glanced up as Inko came to the little hidden area. They didn't want Katsuki seeing him yet.

“Oh don't you look so precious,” Inko said warmly. Izuku giggled, sitting Haruki up a bit and kissed the top of his blonde curls as his fingers was replaced with one of Haruki's own fists.

“Say thank you Granny,” Izuku said, knowing full well his son couldn't speak yet. He could barely hold up his own head.

Inko came clsoer and rest her hand on her son's head.

“I meant both of you,” she teased a bit and kissed her son's head first before going to Haruki and kissing his head as well.

Izuku flushed a bit but smiled, adjusting Haruki's little matching outfit, minus the cape, and watched as his little wings flexed a bit.

“Thank you mother,” Izuku said. “You look beautiful as always.”

Inko had even dressed down as well, wearing a simple green dress as well. Compared to what she normally wore, this was a drastic change, but she still looked beautiful and breathtaking.

“Thank you dear,” she said and adjust Izuku's hair a bit. “Ready?”

Izuku took a deep breath, nodding his head an stood up. Inko gently took Haruki in her arms and kissed his head gain.

“I don't understand why but I'm so nervous,” Izuku said, rubbing the back of his head. “I feel like I'm going to mess up.”

“Even if you do, it'll be alright. It's just us, those that love you the most,” Inko promised, patting his cheek. “I”ll meet you out there.”

Izuku nodded and watched as his mother stepped away from the little area he had set up for him. He inhaled slowly and smiled.

This was the moment. He would be joined with Katsuki in more ways than he had ever thought. A friend, a partner, a mate, and now husband.

With a giddy smile he stood up and went to the edge of the curtain that was there.

Mina had out did herself. She had set up chairs with the same flowers that were in his hair, his family and friends sitting already and waiting.

She had even made an alter for them that she had decorated with greens and reds.

Everything was beautiful.

But nothing was as perfect as Katsuki that had stood up there in front of Aizawa, waiting patiently for Izuku to come down the aisle.

He did however look rather nervous himself.

Seeing Katsuki standing there wearinga pair of pants and no shirt, a red cloak over his shoulders took Izuku's breath away. It took everything within him not to just run to him with his arms spread wide in love.

Haruki made a noise and Katsuki turned his attention to him, soon kneeling down in front of Inko to kiss his son's head.

Even if Katsuki had been around their son quite a bit, Izuku never grew tired of seeing Katsuki do things with their son.

It was adorable and it felt right. He was glad that Katsuki had accepted him right away.

Izuku stepped out towards the end of the aisle then and seeing that had Katsuki paying quick attention, standing up to look at him. Izuku smiled softly, hands clasped in front of him as he made his way down the aisle.

Katsuki took his hands once he was close enough and brought them to his lips, kssing the back of them softly.

“You look amazing,” Katsuk whispered.

“Thank you. So do you,” Izuku said to him, turning his attention to Aizawa as he cleared his throat to begin.

All Izuku could do was stare into those red eyes, feeling tears brimming is own with how happy he was. He never thoguht this day would come. He never thought that it would happen. Never thought that he would see the day that Katsuki would be taking his hand and being able to call him his husband for the rest of their lives.

Their vows were spoken, Izuku feeling like a blur as he recited the words that Aizawa told him to say, Katsuki repeating them with ease as Izuku stuttered over his words a little bit out of nervsousness. But Katsuki just watched him and smile kindly, encouraging him to continue.

“Each would now like to say a few words of their won,” Aizawa said to the otehrs, nodding towards Katsuki.

The blodne swallowed a bit and rubbed the back of his head.

“Well,” Katsuki said. “I never thought I would ever be this lucky. To have someone like you love me just as much as I love you. Things have been crazy in our lives this past year or so. I'm glad it's calmed down but I know that no matter what life throws at us we'll be ready for it and we'll do it, together. Forever.”

Mina sniffled from her seat, wiping her eyes as Kirishima held her hand.

“And you?” Aizawa said. Izuku smiled. He had written it down on a piece of paper but now he didn't bother taking it out of his pocket.

“Kacchan,” he said softly. “All my life I lived by the rules and I was miserable to say the least. There were plenty of good moments but I had felt a little alone and sad. Then on my birthday my life changed for the better. As you said things were crazy but I couldn't be happier. You're my mate and we have a little son together.”

At the mention of him Haruki let out a small noise, the group chuckling a little bit at that.

“There's nothing else more that I would ever want,” Izuku told him. “Except maybe a place of our own and another child.”

He turned to look at his mother and their friends and then inhaled. “I've decided that I will not be taking up the throne as king. I renounce my title as king.”

Mina let out a gasp but while the others looked surprised, Katsuki and Inko were not. Inko smiled fondly and nodded her head.

“I will protect the throne,” she promised him.

“Then I to, renounce the throne,” Katsuki told them all as well. “I will speak to my parents. I want to be free. I want to have a life of my own with my mate and child. I will no longer be a prince. Didn't really fit with the title that it was anyway.”

“So manly,” Kirishima stated, wiping his eyes a bit at that and Katsuki rolled his eyes a little bit playfully.

“Well then I would like to say that I now announce you wed,” Aizawa said. “You may kiss your husband.”

Katsuki didn't hesitated and then puled Izuku close, kissing his lips deeply and even dipped him backwards.

Izuku held onto him, closing his eyes happily as he kissed him, their friends and family clapping happily for them.

One back up Katsuki pulled him close and took off wth a few flap of his wings. Izuku clung to him, letting out a laugh as Katsuki held him close.

It was rare that he got to fly with Katsuki and this only made him all the happier to get to experience it. It was perfect.

“I love you Kacchan,” Izuku said. Katsuki kept flapping his wings to stay airborne, turning them towards the shore. The sight alone was enough to take his breath away.

“I love you too Izuku, my husband,” he said.

Hearing those words had him giggling again and he looked down at where their guests were still waiting for them.

“I wish I could just whisk you away right now,” Katsuki sighed, kissing Izuku's forehead a bit and then glanced down as well.

“In do time,” Izuku told him, resting a hand on his chest. “For now let's go celebrate as being free and being wed.”

Katsuki leaned down and kissed his lips slowly and deeply, earning a small sigh from the bunny hybrid in his arms.

“I think that's a great idea,” he said and then leaned in more. “And then we can attempt again for that next pup.”

Izuku flushed and giggled, tightening his grip as Katsuki made his way back down to the others with a few flaps of his large wings.

Haruki was fussing a little bit in Inko's arms from all of the excitement and Izuku reached for his pup one he was set on his feet.

Haruki curled in close to his dam, letting out a small yawn as he nuzzled in close. Izuku kissed his head as Katsuki rest an arm around his fmaily.

“Perhaps after this little one has a nap we can all celebrate till the sun goes down?” Izuku asked with a small laugh.

“I think that's a perfect idea,” Katsuki said, watching as Haruki's eyes fluttered shut and he relaxed against Izuku's chest.

Izuku beamed. This was always a dream of his. And now it was his life. To be free of royal things, married to the one he loved the most, and have a pup who adored him.

“I couldn't have asked for a more perfect life,” Izuku said softly.

there are so many things about this au i love. how would the magic reveal go? is the worldbuilding different? not to mention alec and jace aren’t close at all in this au so i have an excuse to never include him ever ahaha.

the characterization is bomb too because THESE ARE STILL THE SAME CHARACTERS. if magnus went into hiding, he would have been like this! you can argue his natural state is like, being shier and more introverted, quieter, less showing off and flashy glamour as a shield and more just withdrawing into himself. although honestly i would say a “true” magnus might be a happy medium–someone perhaps more quiet and withdrawn to himself and his close friends, but still likes fancy/pretty clothing, still enjoys going out and having fun sometimes, etc.

and like alec!! if he didn’t grow up in that super homophobic constantly life threatening environment, he would be a confident, openly gay man who PLANS PARTIES and picks up cute guys when he sees them gatecrashing!! who sees a cute sexy lil nerd and goes “!!! yes. that one”. not to mention without him soul bonding himself to his foster brother when he was like, a teenager, he and jace naturally grew apart (or were never adopted together at all?) instead of sort of being forced to stay in that friendship forever because of the soulbond he got WHEN HE WAS A TEEN. who is letting teens make these choices. not saying teens aren’t mature but don’t fuckign soul bond yourself to someone permanently that young okay what the fuck

This is a day late ‘cause I’ve been busy as all hell but a lair review for @putri ! Under the cut, of course

I always start with the first dragon in the lair and damn! Is this dude gorgeous! I love the subtle stain a lot, it gives the colors such a unique feel- just a tad warmer than they would be without it, and it really works! I also love how you highlighted his uncommon eyes (very nice btw) with all of the blue accent apparel-- and the layering on those cobwebs is divine! I also really love Aubade’s bio- it’s short and sweet, and the recolors in it are so perf! I love this boy dang!

I had to go check out Jihoon next of course, cause dang I love me some good gay dragons. I love all the gods you’ve got going on here- having minor dieties is so fun! I’ve got some in my clan as well ahh. Aesthetically you’ve got another super unique look here-- your lair is really unique? All the dragons in it are gorgeous in this way I don’t feel like I see a lot and it’s great! The copper with a little bit of brown apparel, the accent complimenting the wings and silks, the blues of copper being played up in the claw tips, mixing silks and the touch of pastel roses... this is the whole package and I love all of it! I especially love the layering of the veil over the daredevil cover, that’s a look tm. a gorgeous boy!

Anteros caught my eye next! The basic/Basic/Stained look is so simple but? it looks so damn good on them? I totally thought they were a double at first, I didn’t realize hthey were stained at all (some fake purple fan I am) but I love having them be a god of love and decking them out in roses and a dove as well as the crown... they definetly gives off a godly aura, but a sort of “loverboy” vibe, too, and it works really well! You once again prove to be a master of mixing apparel sets, and I love the different seraph jewlery together a ton, plus the smaller pieces of the night sky silks. It’s jsut enough to give them that spacey touch without over powering them! I also really love the dark purple wing border in their bio- that’s such a nice touch :0

Ohhh I love her!! Hyeonjeong is so gorgeous and dang that accent is so perfect for her, since she’s the god of blood and all. I especially love the antlers-- they’re sort of a nonsequiter piece of aparel for this look, but it’s really looking for her. I especially love the playing up the purple tones in blood poison, and surprisingly... smirdge? I normally don’t like smirdge but it’s perfectly subtle on her and I love it. I also love the golden aparel on her, it adds even more to this regal, detached aura she’s got goin on. she’s perfect I’d lay down my life for her.

Since they’re so new I can’t help but notice the fancy eyes, and I’m seeing them all over! Though to be fair, Carnus couldn’t have anything other than plague rare- they were made specifically for him! The green and red tones match him so nicely... And you’re back at it again here with the amazing gen 1s, gorgeous apparel, and fantastic lore. tbh, this is the sort of lair I wish i had :,0 I especially love the faries-- it seems like they’re whispering secrets of the future to this god of seers. Also-- this is a bit rancom, but I really love the flowerfall cohesion you’ve got going on. So many dragons have flower falls and it works so well for a pantheon like your lair!

Ahh I’m so drawn to purble... I love how much basic you have in your lair btw-- I don’t see people appreciate basic enough, but you’ve got such gorgeous, complicated outfits that the basic really lets them shine! And Lyon is no exception-- the gold is so regal and gorgeous, and if you ever decide to give her a tert it’ll tie in even better! I also really love that she’s an evil god of song? I know that’s a bit random, but it’s just so unique and interesting, it makes me wonder what it is about her that’s so evil.... either way, I love her

OKAY i’ve been holding off but I can’t... resist permababs. Chuu is so cute omg... I really love the little distinction of having different gods that represent different kinds of love, that’s really cool! And I love how Chuu discovered her specific god power because she had a little crush on another member of the pantheon... that’s a really cute story, and not the kind I feel like I see a lot! I also really lvoe the unusual eyes on her, they work so well. Man I love permababs, and I love Chuu

Summer, summer, summerrrrrr~ I love just how summery this guy is, and the first thing that stood out to me on him is the accent match, damn! it blends so nicely with the butterfly accent colors, and it’s a damn good list. His lightning eyes are so shocking (hehe) though I be he’d look fantastic with rare eyes, especially :0 More silks, more flower falls, more good looks! You’re really rocking the light aesthetic here, but in a way that works so well and is so unique! layering the flower crown with the veil is A+ and adding in those lil leg roses is even better- plus I love his bracelets, they match the bright orange so well! Your lair is just so aesthetic.

Yeongdeung is so pretty ahhhh. Your lair is like the opposite of mine-- tons of male posed dragons, while I have lots of female posed ones :p She’s such a pretty gal though, she’d stick out no matter what. Another fantastic stain-- that fade to healther on her legs and around her tail and face is so good looking, damn. Her outfit is simpler than a lot but she’s still super rocking it-- I reallly adore how cohesive your aesthetic is across lots of different pallets! I also really love that peacock recolor in her bio- I just think its really neat

Hooo pastels.... They’re so gorgeous damn. Those pastels with the tert that just pops right off the body is just perfect. I really love the flowers for this flower god, and just how perfectly their runes match their eyes. that silk layering is A+++ and I especially love the wreath on their head, which I don’t feel like I see enough! I also super love how he takes care of the godly gardens! Also, I’ve jsut seen this all over, but the matching wing borders for every dragons are such a nice touch,,,, damn its fantastic.

guys.......................... i need to talk about spider-man: homecoming for a hot second bc I really liked it so spoilers ahead. also warning: this is really fucking long bc i have a lot of feelings

so like after wonder woman i feel like i was hit very hard with a “this is what superhero movies are supposed to be and this is what they’re supposed to make you feel like” so now when i think of marvel all i can think about is civil war and age of ultron and thor: dark world and how none of that made me feel like wonder woman did. and i’m not saying homecoming did bc FUCK how do you match a work of art like wonder woman. But like it did make me feel you know??like it make me feel like catfa and catws and the first thor made me feel. it made me feel like this was a movie about Peter Parker, Spider-Man, and not Spider-Man (Peter Parker). And i’m so fucking tired of marvel hitting us with movies with the same heroes we know and love and letting their presence make money. bc it’s true i’d go see any movie with marvel slapped on the front (i even fucking watched doctor strange soooo) but i’m so tired of that like i want to go to a movie and walk out excited and happy and in love with the main characters. i don’t want to walk out trying to remember why i was supposed to be in love with them or why i used to be. i want to walk out of a movie with that “Spider-Man will return” at the end making me go!!!!!! fuck yeah he will!!!! he’d better he’s my boy!!! and this did! I love Peter so much!!! Tom Holland was so good and I want to see more of Michelle and I want to see more of Ned and I want to see May knowing about Peter!! I cared so much this whole movie and it was so good! It was so relieving to not walk out of that theater thinking about hwo much I miss wonder woman or the old captain americas. I’m so fucking tired of there being so many characters piled into the room that all it is is money for the sake of the Avengers: [blank title here] on the front bc I can’t focus on who they are and they don’t have room to develop and grow and be my boys and girls again like i want them to be. maybe a group of superheroes in the room could be a good thing and could be handled well, but i don’t think it is, not right now, not like this. i don’t think what i’m saying is i miss origin stories either bc fuck guys seeing duos and trios and shit that i love makes me so happy. seeing steve, bucky, sam, and natasha together?? a gift!! and i definitely don’t want origin stories like doctor strange with whitewashing and bland love stories and main characters who are near impossible to care about and fit so many tropes that i roll my eyes every time something “new” happens. i want fucking superhero movies about people who are superheros like how fucking hard is that!!

and anyway, beyond the fact of what this movie made me feel, it was so good. i was so angry about spider-man being rebooted when there were so many other heroes that i wanted, so many poc and women that i wanted to see onscreen, and yeah i would have liked that, but the cast of this movie was very diverse actually. and beyond that Tom Holland is just a good spider-man. he’s not dark and manpainy and more mature than he should be as a high school sophomore. he’s awkward and nerdy and whiny and he cries when he’s scared bc the situation is too adult for him and he makes teenage mistakes and he learns and he grows like he should. he’s so good. admittedly i’ve never watched the originals but i thought i knew what a good spider-man looked like when i watched garfield’s and i was wrong. to me, this is what spider-man looks like. (yeah i would have loved a miles morales but i’m talking about from what we’ve been given.) the plot was different than i would have thought because it did have its overarching plot and its overarching villains and its spider-man antics, but it was like........ it was about peter parker growing as a person you know??? how a movie should be??? it was about him learning what he really needs to be spider-man, learning what it really takes to be in this crowd of superheroes, learning that it’s okay to just be the friendly neighborhood spider-man and not An Avenger With A Fancy Suit. he learns that he doesn’t need to be tony stark, doesn’t need to be big shit, doesn’t need to be constantly fighting a fight or ahving an Avenger Mission (TM) like all he needs is to be peter!!! be peter parker and swing around and smile to himself and ned when he hears people talk about the amazing spider-man at school!!!!! it’s so refreshing to watch him go through this journey and i loved it!!! and wow the villain was refreshing too bc i get him, i get it, and he doesn’t actually turn out to be a horrible person doing nasty things for half-ass reasons or for the purpose of being horribly and nasty. he’s not a good person and he did bad things, but his reasons are sound and he has his morals and he has what he believes in and what he cares about. still not a good person of course bc like....... i mean he did try to kill peter..... but at the end when he didn’t give the guy peter’s name it just felt so right and i liked that

idk i’m really oblivious to comics and like the nitty gritties of marvel but wow. this movie just felt so good to me. i feel so good having watched it and this is how i fucking want to feel. i’m just so tired of dreading what i’m going to think about thor:ragnarok and infinity war and shit. like about the only movies i’m really excited for in terms of marvel in the future are black panther and maybe captain marvel???? but with captain marvel i’m scared it’s gonna be all white and sexist as fuck. so idk. this was just such a good little reprieve from the shitshow i feel like i’ve been receiving

All their edit today was downhill and they’re not happy at all

It looks better than I thought but it looks so, bland and normal, specially compared to the ideas the other teams have, though sometimes that can be for the better. Their makeup has killer paintjob and details though!

The chest piece is preeeety awful though, like, really out of place awful, and it has no color

And it looks silly, yeah, it looks like they didn’t finish painting it.

Team Funny’s stone sculpting is GORGEOUS but if I didn’t know what it was about I would be pretty confused

It totally nails the challenge and it’s just, magnificent

It’s like something from Season 5

I like the way it goes from perfect arches to crooked putrid remains, I love the different colored eyes and the gray pupil, it’s like something mythical. I love mythical ceratures on FaceOff. This is right up my alley!

I hope the judges love it because I do, so much

Logan and Adm’s creation is pretty awful and silly

It looks like it belongs on another challenge

The 80′s wig is pretty out of place there, too

It has some things on the face but it can’t really read that well from afar, I think it’s too skin-colored

The chest piece is cool tho

I’m not sure about the hand coming out of the neck

TEAM BLUE’S MAKEUP is also pretty great looking, great color sceme and design.

OH MY GOD, THE EYE CHEST PIECE TOTALLY WORKS

One of the most creative chest pieces for sure, man I really like this makeup as well

I’m not sure who sould be Top Spot at this point

I really like the ring on the head too, good job, Melissa and Keegs.

Team Rage made something that I presume will be safe, it’s pretty safe looking

Team LOVE’s makeup has a GREAT color sceme but I think the wings are too high

Love the paintjob on it though, great, GREAT contrast

Glenn says Team Sassy’s chest piece looks like it was just pasted with glue, it’s true

Glenn has a point in that the makeups feels very Native American, i had that on the back of my mind but didn’t know exactly what i reminded me of

I like seeing them get praised because on other places they were so bashed, and I feel like sometimes it went too far. Like Cat had great talent but was put on a horror-themed season (and even then she failed on the most fantastical of challegnes, how ironic) but I liked her, Niko made it all the way to 4th but everyone said it was a fluke and that he got lucky everyone else just did worse than him all the time and that he was just a pretty face, but together they seem really great so far.

It makes me feel nice, totally rooting for them

CONCLUSION:

What. a. great. episode. The first half of building and sculpting went by pretty normal, standard, almost looking like a middle of the road episode but the second half had me stitches, it was so funny and the judges seem to be enjoying themselves more and more and I love that! Neville is letting his comedic side take over, Ve Neill isn’t afraid to express how happy she feels about a makeup and Glenn makes a great stoic to contrast the funnier judges, also the makeups the teams created were astounding! Agree with the top spot, I’m so glad that Team LOVE are finding their ground and the elimination was also very fair, I thought Stella and Jasmine had some serious talent to show everyone else but I think it was the team dyamic of that season what did them in, I think they’re better individually, (Stella more so), but you gotta get with the times.
