[2:08] glimpse of us
Seungcheol runs up the stairs, out of breath. There’s no military or gym training in the world that can prepare someone to run up 8 flights of stairs and he shouldn’t have done it to begin with. There were elevators but neither was there when he entered the building so he had the bright of just taking the stairs.
The truth was, he was nervous. So incredibly so that staying in place waiting for the elevator to come back seemed too much, it was physically impossible for him just to stay put. The car ride had been a nightmare, his leg jumping up and down to the point his manager had to tell him to stop because “you’re shaking the entire car”.
He thought about his decision a lot, for months that was all he did. Thinking and taking no action at all. Not because he didn’t want to, but because he just couldn’t.
Breaking up with you had been one of the hardest things he had ever done and what made it worse was the fact that you understood what he said. You understood why he was breaking up with you. Seungcheol would have rather you just screamed at him, hit him, lash out at him, or anything to show anger. He had promised you the world, everything he could, everything he had, and yet there he was taking it all back.
He had watched, in complete despair, as tears ran down your face, your eyes seeming lost, focused on the window behind him, as you took in everything he had said. When Seungcheol was done talking you finally looked back at him. Your eyes glistened with tears, your cheeks stained with them. You blinked at him a few times as if trying to get something back in place, to get your thoughts in order. Collect them, somehow.
“I understand, Seventeen always comes first”
It was something he said many times. That was his job, to protect his members at all costs. Even at the expense of himself and his life.
That was the last thing you said directly at him. And you managed to avoid him so well. In events both of you had to attend, he only saw glimpses of you. If there was a camera to his face, or yours, he couldn’t just look at you like he wanted, when you were performing all he could do was nod once or twice. If you happened to pass by him or his members, all you’d do was say a polite “hello” and bow your head.
His heart broke every single time and he knew yours wasn’t doing much better either. Seungcheol knew you, he knew your tells, even as you did your best to control all of your emotions.
That happened two and a half years before. Seungcheol had gone on tour and then enlisted, as planned. And every single day his heart had longed only for you.
Maybe he was reading too much into it, maybe he was just projecting his own feelings in the thing he saw — or thought that he saw—, but Seungcheol was sure that you still felt the same way about him. If not the same then something still very similar. He knew it from the lyrics you wrote, and the things you said in interviews.
“The color red hunts me, I think” you said once, laughing.
Maybe he was projecting, yes, but there was also a chance that he may be right. And that was a chance he was willing to take, even if it turned sour the second he knocked on your door.
He did his best to pull the air back into his lungs in five seconds before finally knocking on the door. Seungcheol wasn’t even sure you were home, he just went there in hopes of finding you.
It took you almost an entire minute to get to the door. Seungcheol didn’t want to get his hopes up, logically he knew that two and half years is a very long time and you could have been with someone else, or could just not want anything to do with him. But seeing you in a shirt he had left behind ignited a new spark of confidence in him.
“What are you doing here?” you said.
It was hard to believe that he was actually there, truly in front of you, still in his uniform. You had seen on the news that he was bound to be discharged any day now but the precise one was kept a secret from the fans and thus everyone else.
The last thing you expected was to see him on your door, in the same uniform every had gone crazy over. He looked taller, somehow, his shoulders wider than they used to be. It was something you knew was bound to happen to see it, in front of your very eyes was on your bucket list after the breakup.
“I need to ask you two questions,” he said.
You crossed your arms over your chest when you realized he had been looking at your shirt. His shirt, actually. You had managed to get rid of many of his things that had been left behind, that shirt wasn’t one of them. At first, it was because it smelled like him, it was a source of comfort when your heart was breaking time and time again. His perfume had disappeared a long time ago but still, there was no way to get rid of it.
“Are you dating someone right now?”
Seungcheol opened and closed his fists, waiting for your answer. He didn’t know, had no idea, that he would get that nervous around you again. It was like when he first asked you out but so much worse because now he was trying to make amends.
“That’s hardly any of your business,” you said, voice tired “but no, I’m not”
You sighed and ran a hand over your face.
“Do you still love me?” his tone was almost desperate.
He knew that whichever your answer was, it would change his entire life. He would either be over the moon or your words would seal the nails on the coffin.
“Seungcheol, why are you doing this?” your voice was barely a whisper.
The last thing he wanted was to see you cry because of him, again. It was like that day, in his apartment all those years before, crushing his heart once more.  Instead of waiting for your answer, Seungcheol took the two steps separating you. He held your face in his hands, his eyes searching yours once again, to make sure that he wasn’t crossing any lines, that you too wanted that.
You sighed into him the moment his lips pressed over yours, your arms going around his waist, pulling him closer to you. Two and half years and nothing had changed.
“I do, I still do”

the positive karma that you have coming in 2024
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
• pile one •
your energy during this past year (2023):
this year has been all about completing cycles and life lessons. related to what and who you give your energy to. you’ve had to learn how to stand on your boundaries when it comes to giving and receiving your time, money, and effort. there may have been a lot of people who were coming to you for a lot of help, using you as a pillar of strength for themselves. and while you may have been happy to do this, you realised that the give and take between you and these people were not equal. perhaps it wasn’t even a purposeful thing on their part, but they didn’t even have enough energy to give to themselves so there was never going to be a time when they could repay your energy back to you. this lesson has been learned and completed now.
there are also decisions that you’ve made that you’ve decided to just throw yourself into. options were available to you (particularly when it comes to creative projects or hobbies) and you decided to take a leap of faith when going after whatever options were available to you. i feel like you realised that staying stagnant was actually harming you so you forced yourself into a state of action in order to transform your life or yourself in some way.
there’s a lot of success that you’ve experienced as a result of this. a lot of support for whatever you’re working on too. there’s a lot of fire energy here so the action that you were giving to things and people that left you drained has now been redirected to what you’re working on, with a lot of motivation and inspiration, and you’ve gained followers or supporters of your work along the way. i’m hearing that this is a very loyal group of people who want to continuously support you too. you might’ve had to deal with indecision on this path, wondering if you were working the “right way” or if this would be profitable for you in some way - but it is. these supporters aren’t leaving, even when you take a break to question whether or not you should switch up your path.
your energy in 2024:
you’re going to be a lot more focused and serious in 2024 - especially in relation to a stable and happy life. you’re going to be experiencing the destruction of self-limiting beliefs and negative thought patterns. you could go in and out of these things, but your mind is going to be a lot more stable and focused on what you’re achieving this year. there’s pretty much nothing that can influence the way that you think and what you believe about the life that you’re building for yourself. for some of you specifically, you’ll be focusing on moving into a new home. and whatever home you move into, it’ll be a very happy one. whether you’re moving into this by yourself or with someone else.
you’re also going to be more focused on celebrating your achievements which may be something that you neglected doing before. there’s a lot of happy times here, thanks to some sort of teamwork. this is teamwork either between you and a friend or partner, or teamwork between you and your guides. this could even be a business partner. either way, your hard work and efforts will manifest a lot of positivity and happiness for you. i’m also seeing fast communication when it comes to collaboration that will involve a lot of learning from others and/or teaching other people a valuable skillset too. and this will bring finances to you. especially if any of you are doing any type of life/spiritual coaching work or you’re aiming to do a work project with a group of people.
you’ll be attracting a lot of financial abundance as well as physical stability. things won’t be so uncertain when it comes to your practical life. you’ve been in the energy of financial lack and poverty but by the end of the year, you’ll be more than comfortable and emotionally fulfilled. i mean, you have the queen of pentacles clarified by the ten of cups for the end of the year. it can’t get much better than that 😂
and i’m hearing that this is because you kept yourself in the energy of receiving finances and stability even when your external reality didn’t reflect that. i feel like a lot of you are experiencing lack but you’re still spiritually abundant. this is what you call trusting in your manifestations.

your energy during this past year (2023):
your energy this year was centred around communication, your thought processes, your stability, and receiving financial abundance. at the beginning of the year, you were learning how to look for opportunities to go towards that would’ve helped you in laying down a stable foundation for yourself financially. and you were learning ways to practically ground the visionary ideas that were coming to you. there has been a lot of studying, learning, and practice of a skillset that you’ve successfully developed - perhaps with the help of other people’s skills through studying their work.
you’ve learned to listen to the guidance that spirit/your spirit guides have been trying to give you. you’ve maybe even learned how to have a wider perspective of your opportunities available to you or just about what’s achievable in life in general. there’s something here about your development in your work triggering other people. you may or may not have known this at the time, but it seems like some people in the same field as you felt as though your work was higher quality than their’s. this is the energy of starting something new, joining a workplace or a community of people, and knocking any competition out of the water. even if you weren’t competing with anyone - people felt the need to compete with you 👀. but there was no competition. again, you may or may not know this. i feel like most of you don’t because you’re just minding your business and directing your focus to working on your craft. and that’s why you’re succeeding more than these people. because they don’t mind their damn business, always in competition with people. you do mind your business. and you’re in competition with nobody but yourself. period 💅🏾
by the end of 2023, you’ve MAJORLY developed your communication skills as well as the skills required for your work. and your ability to attract financial abundance too. you’ve gone from the page of swords + the page of coins to the queen of swords + the queen of coins. and this is extremely fast development. you may be someone who usually develops quickly but this isn’t the usual for people. especially when it comes to the physical realm (coin/pentacle energy). that’s the slowest moving energy within the universe that we live in and you’ve managed to develop that energy within a year. doesn’t matter if you don’t feel like you’ve done anything much in terms of your work or your business or whatever this is. you’ve done A LOT. give yourself props.
your energy in 2024:
the first card out for your energy in 2024 is the four of coins. financial stability. feeling financially comfortable and having all of your needs met. not having to worry about money because you know that you have enough. your spirit guides are coming through heavily with this energy. you might be someone who’s extremely giving, constantly wanting to give to those around you. but your spirit guides are protecting your money. they’re protecting your money in general for sure, but specifically from people who may want to just take from you monetarily. there’s also a message to keep your financial state as PRIVATE as you possible can. i’m seeing that some of you have scorpio or pluto in the 2nd house. keep your money private to protect it from evil eye. your guides are protecting it from the influence of negative energy anyway, but i’m hearing that they’d rather not have to defend it more than necessary 😂. they want to focus on helping you to stack your money up, not waste their energy on evil-eyeing, jealous bitches who are secretly hating. so try to keep this is private as possible. especially from family if you have toxic family members who you may feel (or know) would rather you not do better for yourself. but in 2024, you’re financially comfortable and stable.
there’s also something about major responsibility given to you. the responsibility of being a leader or teacher in a spiritual group, or just in a workplace. i’m mainly picking up on religion, philosophy, or a structure that people come to for spiritual guidance and help. your spiritual beliefs are also solidifying themselves. you’re gaining some type of spiritual knowledge that’s going to become a closely-followed belief for you. some of you might also start going to a church, a mosque, synagogue, etc. just a religious or spiritual place of worship. and here is where you’re going to find a major opportunity for yourself. the hierophant and the high priestess has both come out in this part of the reading for you. this is a divine counterpart. i’m really feeling like a lot of you will be exploring traditional beliefs and religions and seeing the hidden, occult knowledge within it. so, for example, if you begin to read the bible, then this is where the knowledge from religion will come from - but not in the typical way. you’ll be able to see the metaphysical and occultist knowledge that’s interwoven into these traditional texts. how scripture is spellwork, manifestation techniques, how jesus was an occultist himself, etc. that’s just one example. and i’m hearing that spirit will be giving you valuable knowledge through downloads through traditional scripture and text.
you’re finding a lot of pure, genuine love for your work. this love is coming from you towards what you do, but also from other people who love what you do too. there’s a lot of communication of genuine love from those who enjoy your work and how you help them with it. there may be a pause towards the end of the year in relation to your work, but this will be an intentional pause made by you to just enjoy the fruits of your labour as well as seeing what’s beyond the horizon for your work too. perhaps even where you’d like to start to invest money in terms of assets, property, etc. there is going to be a lot of love expressed to you for your work, for your spiritual knowledge and leadership, etc. and i feel like you may have felt like this was lacking in 2023, but 2024 is the year that love for your work is flowing.

your energy during this past year (2023):
you guys were dealing with a lot of deception, lies, gaslighting even. a lot of mental manipulation and illusions being thrown at you. this stagnated your mental space and your intuition. you didn’t know what to believe nor what to think and it’s almost like you couldn’t find a way out of it. even if you protected yourself from the source of this confusion and manipulation, it still affected your mind and put you in the energy of mentally being stuck. going back and forth between 2 perceptions of this person or this situation. questioning your own intuition. there’s something about not being able to rely on what you physically see with your physical eyes and having to rely on your third-eye - which was still fucked with because i’m seeing that you struggled to even trust in your intuition thanks to whatever this deceitful energy was.
gradually, you balanced out your mind and recognised the truth about this person or this thing. even if the physical world wasn’t reflecting what you knew intuitively about this, it seems like you settled on trusting what you know and not what you were physically shown in this situation. there’s also an energy of blocking communication with someone who was very deceitful. and you decided that you did the correct thing, after a long period of going back and forth about whether or not you were correct about this person. you were. they might’ve tried to communicate with you again but you shut that shit down and your guides are wanting me to tell you that you successfully passed the karmic lesson with this person. you were successful in putting into practice a lesson that your guides have been wanting you to learn, so now you have a lot of recognition for that in the spirit realm.
this whole situation was very burdensome for you to deal with. this person was burdensome, but you’ve laid the burdens down to rest. you’ve gained more stability in your self-assurance in your intuition and your self esteem. there’s a completion in relation to a lesson with these two things. the lesson of putting yourself first, not burdening yourself with other people’s problems, and trusting your intuition about people when something feels off. you’ve stepped into emperor energy as a result of this. taking lead of your life and protecting and defending yourself when necessary.
your energy in 2024:
this year, you’re having some sort of awakening in relation to your creativity, sensuality (your physical appearance specifically), and even your sexuality or sexual needs for some of you. everything related to what brings you joy and what makes you feel comfortable. and i feel like this is a result of finally learning to focus on yourself in order to ask yourself what you want for yourself. there’s going to be a lot of love that you have towards a new beginning in your physical life - especially money and luxuries. and you’re also finding a lot of support (mainly from your guides) when finding these things. you’re almost at the end of a very long, drawn out journey - but there’s one more major thing that you have to realise about life itself before this journey can come to a completion. this journey has a lot to do with self-worth and knowing what you deserve.
there’s a lot of energy related to manifestation here (as you are recognising something about creation). this realisation is about the emotions that you feel towards the physical realm. feeling like there’s something valuable to attract or to find in every situation that you’re in. this is what will bring you success and perhaps even recognition in your creative projects. especially if you’re self employed or if you’re planning to start a side-hustle. this year, you’re learning that your feelings towards life plays a part in the opportunities for financial abundance or just practical stability in general that are presented to you. you’re listening more to the feelings of happiness and joy and paying more attention to where they come from. because where your genuine happiness comes from is where you can create and manifest easiest.
the overall energy of your 2024 is the wheel of fortune, which is extremely fitting. it’s a card about the wheel turning in your favour, and life becoming the complete opposite of what it was before. you’ve been through it in 2023, with all types of rumination and stress and anxiety. but 2024 is about following the path of joy and what actually makes you happy - again, putting yourself first instead of weighing yourself down with burdens from other people who aren’t worth it. i’m also hearing that there’s “strength in numbers”. the more you follow this path, the greater the number of spirit guides (and people who will support you with your passions) will increase. there’s a lot of support for you throughout 2024 because you’re finally supporting yourself instead of prioritising supporting others instead. again, your feelings about life will determine what you attract. you feel like you deserve support and recognition (which is why you’re giving those things to yourself now), so that’s what will manifest in your physical reality too. “as within, so without”. funnily enough, i’ve just googled the actual meaning of that phrase and here’s what it says:
“The second part of the quote, “As within, so without,” suggests that our external reality is a reflection of our internal reality. What we think and feel inside of ourselves is manifested in our external circumstances and experiences.”
which sums up this whole reading. ain’t that crazy? 😂 this awakening is happening within you and your understanding of your own creative abilities regarding life in general and how they work for you. a spiritual wakening fr 💀
be proud of yourself, because this internal awareness wouldn’t be happening if you didn’t CHOOSE to do the work (especially shadow work) in the first place. you chose not to stay stagnant despite seeing no way out of your stagnancy this past year - instead of deciding to fall into a victim complex 👏🏾

Amber
YN - Why do you only want me when you have nothing else to do?
You bite your lip as you hit send, swiping out the app as fast as you can to try and quell the feeling of regret you know is coming.
Your lover of sorts, Amber Freeman, had been acting weird lately.
You’re not sure what to call the two of you, best friends that kiss each other? friends with benefits? two buddies in a situationship?
All very accurate descriptions, you think as you laugh bitterly.
It had been weeks of bliss at first, with flirty comments, secret kisses, and love notes stashed in your locker.
But for the past few days, she’s been awful. Gone are the nights spent giggling together on your couch while you watch a movie, gone are the butterflies whenever you see her name pop up on your screen.
She’s quiet. It makes you uneasy.
At first, you tried to ignore it, think to yourself she must be busy.
She loves me, she’ll answer, you reason.
Nothing hurts more than being proven wrong.
A - I think we should stop talking.
YN- What? Why? Can’t we talk this out?
A - I wanted to tell you a couple of days ago in person but…I’m sorry. I just don’t like you anymore. I met someone else.
You blink back the tears already welling in your eyes. You shut your phone off, refusing to answer, part of you hoping she might beg for your forgiveness after seeing you upset.
Nothing.
Your chest heaves as the hole in your chest deepens.
How could she? After everything you’d been through together. Especially after the Ghostface attacks last year, you’d hoped she cared a little more.
You’d been the one to warn her, even. When she told you she had feelings for you, you’d made her promise that she swore they were true. You weren’t taking a chance on a ‘maybe’.
But alas, your moon-eyed perspective had affected your decision-making skills. She’d told you she loved you, and that she was going to be your girlfriend, and you had believed her.
You fall back onto your bed. Hands pressed to your forehead harshly as you think.
You pick up your phone once more, ignoring all thoughts that tell you this is a horrible idea, and call her up.
-
“Hey. Thanks for coming.” You tell Tara as you step back to let her in. She’s dressed in an oversized AC/DC t-shirt paired with gray sweatpants.
Her hair is slightly messy like she’s just woken up from a nap. You curse as you catch yourself thinking about how cute she looks.
“No problem.” She tells you without missing a beat, walking into your house and up to your room like it’s her second home.
You and Tara had a history.
All throughout grade school, you had the biggest crush on the brunette, but she never reciprocated. Not that you ever told her about it. Later, when both of you were in high school, she confessed that she liked you.
You were so confused between your feelings for Amber and for her back then, you ended up never giving her a clear answer. And after time, the two of you just started to drift away.
But you wouldn’t be able to say that the underlying feeling she was the one wasn’t always simmering within you.
Your feelings for Tara were something that could never be explained. Not even to your best friends over the years, who would hear endless rants about the girl.
She was just so, perfect.
Well- nobody was perfect; you knew that. She was always somewhat of a rebel throughout your school years. But you found her imperfections endearing, which only made her more human and in turn, more perfect to you.
It didn’t help that she also looked like an angel that had fallen from the skies.
In short, Tara Carpenter was an enigma. You’ve had crushes before, of course. But this one, you think will never go away. Whether you viewed her from a romantic or platonic lens, all you could feel was adoration. You were incredibly fond of the girl.
You snap out of your daze and follow her upstairs, closing the door behind you.
“So, you wanna tell me what this is about?” She says, not unkindly.
You play with the hairs on the nape of your neck as you answer her.
“I’ve just been feeling…sort of weird. I needed some company.” You tell her, somewhat awkwardly,
“And nobody else was free?” She prods, her eyes filling with an emotion you can’t quite place.
You look down shyly as you shake your head. “No, I wanted you to come.” You mumble, loud enough for her to hear.
You sneak a peek at her expression and relax once you see she’s smiling.
“Good. ‘Cause I’ve been missing you.” She says, grinning.
Her words make you feel like a weight’s been taken off your shoulders. Everything’s normal. Everything’s good.
You relax, moving over to join her on the bed.
“I missed you too.” You say.
She doesn’t miss a beat before she reaches for your TV remote and pushes herself further up your bed. She takes her hair out of the bun it was in and whips out her glasses.
She never likes to wear it because she thinks it makes her look nerdy, but you think it’s the cutest thing.
“You sure are making yourself at home.” You murmur, earning a soft slap from the girl.
“Hey! This is how you’re supposed to experience a movie.“ She says, nudging herself into your bedsheets.
You scoff as you join her and place your leg over her own.
“Who said we were going to watch a movie?” You challenge, raising a brow at her.
She shrugs, unserious. “I figured I’d take the lead. You need a distraction, and you weren’t doing anything…so.”
You nudge her with your shoulder one more time before settling in beside her, not willing to debate.
She scrolls on your TV a little while longer before you nearly leap out of your seat as you see your favorite movie pass.
You open your mouth to force her to pick it, but she buts in before you can get a word out.
“Yes, I know it’s your favorite movie. I’m putting it on now, shush.” She teases, smirking slightly.
You relent without a word.
Halfway through the movie, you can tell Tara’s getting sleepy. Her eyes droop and her head is falling further into the pillow.
You bite back a chuckle and pull out your phone, ready to take a photo that’ll surely embarrass the brunette.
She stirs in her sleep when the flash goes out, looking up at you groggily.
You panic and shove the phone underneath you, moving over to do anything to distract her. You don’t have enough time to think, you surge forward and press your lips to her forehead.
Her eyes widen, no doubt wondering what the hell you’re doing.
A forehead kiss? Yeah, that isn’t suspicious at all!
She’s still still under you, blinking slowly.
“Go back to sleep Tar.” You mumble against her skin, using a nickname you haven’t called her in ages.
It works though. You feel her physically relax and in the next few minutes, she’s fast asleep against you once again, this time with her arm wrapped around your waist.
You feel your cheeks get hot and thank the gods that nobody can see you.
You watch as the credits of the movie finally roll, and you feel the tiresome events of the day finally catch up to you.
You look down at Tara, studying her features. You want to reach out and touch her freckles, but you resist the urge.
Whatever Tara Carpenter was to you didn’t matter today, you reason. The only thing that matters is that she’s here, and she’s made you feel better than you have in months. Friend or something more, she’ll always be the one to brighten your day.

[MESSAGE FROM THE CLERGY]
An important (and overwinded) announcement regarding this blog below the cut.
Hello everyone! This is Rawkin Ghoul/ Tumblr Ghoul/ Tumblrina/ Soda/ etc etc.
First thing’s first: no, this blog is not an official Ghost social media account.
I started this blog in late 2022 when ghost-official started blowing up (I do not believe this one to be real either, and honestly I won’t believe they have a Tumblr until it is linked on their official website) and thought, “wow, I could make a better Ghost blog than that. One that’s way better organized and actually advertises properly for them, and posts regularly!” So I did.
Originally it was meant as just that, a little joke between some friends, and wasn’t meant to really get farther than that. But then I thought, Ghost does have a lot of fans on Tumblr- a lot of exquisitely talented and devoted fans. Maybe I can kinda “roleplay” it for a while, build almost a bit of a portfolio, and then either offer the blog to management or offer to run it for them officially, for fun, if they were interested.
More time passes and more people followed. I thought “xofficial” as a username was a common enough joke/ gimmick that people would realize it wasn’t for real (and in fact, when I first searched the URL, I found that this username was once in use years ago! Sorry, previous owner), especially after posting that April Fools joke post- this was wrong of me to assume. There are a lot of roleplay/ joke “official” Ghost accounts all over the web but I failed to really properly disclaim that I was one of them.
I of course don’t plan to reach out to Ghost anymore and haven’t for some time, for multiple reasons including Tumblr just not being a good website for advertising. But another one is I got pretty loose on here. Tumblr is so different from Twitter and Insta and all that- you guys (and myself! I go here too) don’t want to have someone sell something to you- but you do love interaction and jokes and solving things together.
I think we can all admit it- when Ghost is dormant, the fans can get bored and even agitated, and can start to have a go at eachother. I’m certainly not guiltless there either. I wouldn’t say I’m notorious or even particularly well known in general but I’ve gotten into drama here and there. I figured the blog would be a fun way not just to distract the community, but really engage with it. The blog passed 5k a month or so ago and I started thinking, we could do something really cool with it. Smaller events like fanart contests and zines. But what if we did more? Organizing pre-ritual meetups. Larger community projects like fan-made music videos. ARG. Maybe even a short video game- there are so many incredibly skilled and hard-working Ghost fans and I wanted to try to bring them together because I think our love for Ghost, for whatever reason we love them, screams so loud and everyone deserves recognition (also a reason I started Fanart Friday as a regular thing).
You guys know I do my best to keep up with your tagging and what you’re saying and everything and I’ve seen the people pointing out the blog isn’t real from the beginning- I didn’t want to address it directly at first because I thought if nothing else people enjoyed the mystery.
But, more lately there’s been more and more people who are agitated, disappointed, and even a little scared to hear that this blog is not official.
I want to offer my very sincere apologies to people who I made feel that way. I should have made it obvious sooner- I know so well that there are a lot of very young Ghost fans especially who wouldn’t necessarily surmise that this isn’t real. I’m really sorry to those of you I disappointed.
I will never ask you for money here, or any personal information, or send asks anonymous or otherwise from here or my main personal blog as “Tumblr Ghoul”. I have had one person ask to message me so I messaged them to allow them to do that. If somebody contacts you claiming to be the person running this blog, they are lying. Please block them. My interactions here I aim to keep as public as possible, hence being increasingly liberal with replies and reblogs as the number of people interacting grew.
My only goal with this blog is to advertise for a band that I love and to entertain/ help the fandom when and where I can. I love and appreciate all the fanart and interest in the character of Tumblr Ghoul but I don’t want anybody to feel obligated to me and I especially don’t want to hurt anybody. I started this blog for fun and that how I want it to remain- fun for everyone.
People pointed out when I didn’t post for some time a few months back and it was because I had lost interest in the blog and was going through a rough time- and then one particularly bad day I got on to check it by chance and just seeing your guy’s tags and comments made me feel so much better. I tell people that I found Ghost when I really needed a friend and they fulfilled that for me, but the past few months you guys have done just the same for me. I am so sorry to have betrayed that and made you feel unsafe and lied to in return.
As of posting I do intend to still run the blog as I have been (with a disclaimer added to the bio regarding the legitimacy of this account)- posting about tours, chapters, merch, etc, as well as Fanart Friday. I 100% understand if anybody doesn’t want to be involved in that, so anybody who has tagged me in something and don’t want it on the blog now, I can open messages and you can let me know. I will probably close them again after a week or so if I get a large flood of unrelated messages.
Please do not message me asking me who I am, who knows about the blog, etc. Gaining popularity was never something I wanted from this so I will stay anonymous, for the time being at the very least. A very small number of people know who is behind the blog and to my knowledge only one of them is even on Tumblr and in the fandom.
Thank you for all the support you’ve shown me, Ghost, and eachother. It can be easy to see the bad parts of a community and roll your eyes electing to keep your distance, but since starting this blog I’ve been reminded what good community is even when it’s frustrating sometimes.
Thank you for reading, I won’t hold it against anybody who wants to separate themselves from this blog at this point, and please don’t let my oversight and general dummyness sour your experience with Ghost or its other fans. Enjoy the rest of this tour and whether it’s with or without me, please keep rawking 🤘 Be good to eachother.
Thank you.

Nooks And Crannies - M. Sturniolo
a series
part three (read part two here)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Summary : You always seem to be somewhere in the bookstore Matt works at, never buying anything, just reading, and while Matt is technically not supposed to talk to customers for so long while he's on the clock, he can't help himself.
Warnings : none yet!
Word Count : 1129
Pairing : Matt Sturniolo/Reader (romantic)
A/N : the blossoming of actual conversation <3
Tumblr media
The thirty minutes you spent sitting in that chair and talking to Matt was arguably the best thirty minutes of your entire day.
In a new place with a ton of new people, it was wonderful to get to spend time with someone who seemed to be open to talking to you. The conversation didn’t span for very long, but it felt like it covered a lifetime’s worth of information. You weren’t one to reveal your deepest secrets in a first interaction, and neither was Matt, but the conversation blossomed.
You learned about Matt’s family, that he was an identical triplet, the middle of all three of them, Nick being the oldest, and the youngest one being named Chris, and he also had an older brother, Justin, who was born before the triplets. He’s twenty years old, just a year older than you, and had also recently moved here from Boston. Both of his triplet brothers had their own jobs downtown, and picked up odd jobs every now and then to make a bit more cash. They were stable and comfortable with room to spare, and it was really helpful that they all had jobs that they enjoyed.
You learned that Nick worked in graphic design, and while sometimes it could be just a boring desk job, it was flexible enough for him to work on projects at home, often allowing him to finish them before the deadline arrived, well enough before that he could take days off. At the same time, he could also work virtually, which definitely helped when there were days he didn’t feel well, so he didn’t have to use any sick days. You learned that he really enjoyed his job, and he was damn good at it too, so he made a good amount of money from it.
Chris was a music producer. You learned that the youngest triplet had always had a very deep love for music, and while he enjoyed recording his own little tidbits of things that would never be released out into the world, he loved to help people on their own creation. He had always been insanely creative, and getting to help people finish their own projects that they were proud of meant a lot to him. It was an honor to get to see unfinished work, to help put the final touches on it, to help make it perfect to their standards, to be ready for everyone else to hear it. It was also amazing to work with artists that he idolized or enjoyed listening to, and it really was a childhood dream come true.
And Matt worked at The Ivy. To anyone else, Matt’s job may seem like a downgrade compared to his brothers, but the thing about all three of their jobs was that they really did love them. You listened to him talk about being able to connect with people, being able to see, read, and buy books that would become his favorites, and having a flexible schedule as well. You could see a true enjoyment in his eyes as he talked about his job and books, and there was definitely a little bit of envy in your own mind, as you liked your job alright, but not enough to pick up extra hours for any other reason than needing or wanting a little bit of extra money. You listened to Matt speak, noticing just how well he articulated, an impressive vocabulary, really showing the reader in him.
Matt learned a lot about you that day, too. He learned about your family, that you weren’t very close with your parents anymore after a large falling out, that you had a black cat named Mallie as a pet, and that you, too, adored reading. He learned that you worked from home, and that was why you were able to make such a large move. He learned that you didn’t know a lot of people here, and a part of him was honored to be one of the first people you talked to. Maybe it was because there was some sort of comfort in knowing that you were both strangers, and that you didn’t have to see each other again. You knew you would probably be back at The Ivy again, but if anything were to go wrong, you didn’t know them very well and could easily avoid him if you figured out when he worked.
Matt’s break was only half an hour long, and to the both of you, it wasn’t long enough, but you didn’t know that the other was thinking the same thing. As Matt checked his phone, he sighed when he saw that he only had five minutes left. He had really enjoyed getting to talk to someone during a time when he was normally sitting by himself. For the next five minutes, you both shared your favorite books, finding out that you had a lot of mutual reads that you enjoyed, and mutual reads that you didn’t enjoy at all. That five minutes flew by quickly, so quickly that Matt invited you to walk with him back up to the register to clock back in, because he didn’t want to cut the conversation short right then.
You continued talking until someone came up to check out their books, and you wandered away from the register with four new book recommendations. You went walking through the aisles, looking for the ones Matt had told you were a good read, and eventually found them all. You went back to the small nook you had found, sitting back down and placing them in your pile to read. You didn’t think that you would get through them all, so you took pictures of them, and read for about another hour. Matt thought that you had left the store and that he just didn’t see you walk out, either distracted by the register or he wasn’t by the front door, until he eventually did see you walking out, no books in hand. He happened to be stocking shelves at the time, so he waved at you when you glanced over at him, and you waved back with a genuine smile.
“Not taking any books home?”
You shook your head, glancing at the ones he was putting on the shelves.
“Nope. Left them in the tiny room behind the bookshelves. Hopefully they’ll be there when I come back, but if they aren’t, I took pictures of them so I can find them again.”
Matt smiled, knowing that he had used that trick multiple times before.
“I’ve done that. It works every time, at least in my experience.”
“Awesome. Then I’ll be back!”
You went to wave goodbye before he spoke, his smile matching yours.
“Looking forward to it.”

Hiii Crab so happy to see you write outside of our rants/idea chats and my fellow delulu cod enjoyer! Would love to request Platonic!141 + Reader (sorry if this is long and somewhat confusing lol). You can do headcanons, drabble or whatever you comfy for. An idea that popped in my head kinda semi personal: Civ or 141! Reader though has parents and family is the reader is quite something else. Reader despite having somewhat normal upbringing still feel empty; they shouldn't be feeling this numb and empty deep inside of them. The reader craves the love that they give but couldn't or lack of receiving it back, though they don’t expect it or selfishly want it. Just someone who understands them even in their deepest darkest secret or flaw then boom cue the task force 141 unexpected yet welcoming to their life and maybe the one that the Reader can lean and let them be vulnerable on (finally).
Take your time on doing this Looking for to your other writing genuinely -Cee, your fellow Soap delulu
GN!Reader & 141 (Mostly Price)
Warnings: Slight angst Ships: None. A/N: This absolutely ran away from me and I do not at all regret it, hope you enjoy, Cee!!! Words: 3549
Tumblr media
Almost your entire life had been a cycle of self doubt that also started to churn and twist into self-hatred. You blamed yourself for the feelings. Afterall, you had a relatively normal upbringing. Two parents who were both present in your life, both of whom worked so that you all had food on the table and a roof over your head. A luxury that very few had.
The least you could do for them is follow the path that they wanted to put you on, no matter how much you didn’t want to do it. Because you loved them.
So you excelled in your education, studying hard to try and impress your parents– to make them love you just as much as you loved them for everything that they did for you for your entire life. They wanted you to do all three sciences despite the additional workload it would add to your already stretched thin time? Then you would do them, take any extra classes after school in order to keep up with the work and not lag behind any of your peers.
There was no such thing as a social life, either, not when you had homework and projects due. Friends were few and far between. Generally, most people left when they realised how hyper focused you were on your grades instead of social interaction.
Did a classmate get a higher grade than you on a test? Well obviously you didn’t study hard enough, you just needed to dedicate more time to school even though school was all you had.
Did you get the highest marks in the class? Good, that was what was expected of you. Why didn’t you get full marks? You were better than that. You would do better because you loved your family. They showed it in their own way, of course, by encouraging you to study harder and get better grades. That was their love language, and yours was doing as they asked without a second thought. Because, at the end of the day, you were lucky to have an upbringing like you had. You would ignore the hollow void clawing at your chest because you had no right to feel that way– not when you had a roof over your head and parents that loved you(?).
It was when you came top of the class with full marks in a recent test, you came home with a beaming smile on your face and proudly showed the test to your parents. They took the papers from your hands, flipping through your work with critical eyes, before handing the papers back to you.
‘Well done, we’re so proud of you.’ That was all you wanted them to say to you. That was all you needed to hear. To know that they loved you.
‘Your penmanship is terrible.’ Was what you got instead. When you tried to point at the big 100% in green pen, you were waved away. ‘How are you expected to get a job when you write like a child? I’m surprised the teacher could even read your answers’.
After several years of balancing a work and educational life and paving a way for a line of work that you didn’t want for parents you should have been grateful to have, you decided that enough was enough.
No matter how hard you worked, no matter how high your marks were, they would never be proud of you. They would never return the love that you had for them until you nearly killed yourself trying.
Spending your entire childhood, teenagehood and all of your current adulthood trying to please your parents predictably would damage one’s psyche. You had no friends, family who had never been devoted to you as you were to them, and high grades serving as the foundations to a prison-like future.
You dropped out of University. The only option forward that you saw was joining the army in the vain hope that the empty feeling inside of you would dissipate when you actually did something that you believed was more worthwhile than any University course.
So you threw yourself into the military, working harder than all of the other recruits and training at every chance you could.
Your skills and determination became widely recognised amongst your peers. It took several years, but you eventually caught the eye of none other than Captain John Price.
Impressed by your willpower that not many soldiers possessed, he offered you a place on the 141.
Naturally, you agreed. You believed that being part of such a well renowned and respected team would finally beat back the lingering self doubt and emptiness that had curled itself around your heart.
It didn’t. If anything, it made it worse.
You were invited to join the 141, sure, but they had already established their own relationships between each other, had already bonded into a close knit group, and you were simply an outsider. Yes, you had been hand picked by Price himself, but that didn’t mean you were part of the team. They had their own inside jokes that they told to one another, leaving you feeling left out on most days.
And you felt… lacking around them. Ghost was stronger, Gaz was faster, Soap was smarter (he was a demolitions expert for crying out loud!), and Price was almost all of those rolled into one. They all complimented each other as a team. Meanwhile you felt like a spare tyre, a master of nothing and barely a jack of any trade.
Despite how you felt about it all, they all called you ‘kid’. Regardless of age gaps between yourself and the rest of them, the nickname stuck mostly because you were the newbie. It came as a surprise that it wasn’t spat with vitriol as your peers before had, but it was in fact said with… an affection you couldn’t quite place.
You couldn’t ignore the hole in your chest that had been chipped at over the years, forming a gaping maw that no reassurances could really mend.
Doubt lingered in the back of your mind, chipping away at your sanity as you prepared for the worst. How long would it take before they realised you weren’t good enough?
You were so deep in your doubts that you didn’t realise that you had been distancing yourself even more than before until you overheard a conversation in Price’s office a few months down the line.
“-- they don’t belong on the team.” Gaz said as you passed Price’s office and your heart dropped. It was only the tailend of what he had been saying but you had gotten the gist. You wanted to stay, to listen to the conversation more and listen to what your team had to say about you, but you didn’t. What you were going to hear were likely things you had already told yourself right from the start. You keep walking on, ignoring the sting of tears burning in the corners of your eyes. The blood rushing in your ears prevented you from heating the rest of the conversation.
“-- not only are they acting like they don’t belong on the team, but they’re acting like they’re not good enough.” Gaz continued, sighing in frustration.
“Maybe they need more time.” Ghost rumbled in reply, “Let them come out of their shell a little bit. Best not rush these things.” He was talking from experience, after all.
“Aye… maybe I can invite them out for drinks or sommat? I wouldn’t want them getting transferred before we got to know them a little more.” Soap had been the one that had tried the hardest to get close to you but had also tried to give you space so as to not suffocate you with his personality.
“They won’t be getting transferred.” Price said with conviction, tapping his desk, “I chose them to be part of this team and this is where they’re going to stay. Let me have a word with them first.”
“Aye, sir.”
— — — — — —
You found yourself in the smoker’s shelter outside the main building. It was late enough that most of the soldiers had gone to bed or off to do their own things elsewhere so you doubted that you would be bothered for a little while. Just enough time for you to get your thoughts together. Your tears had dried in your eyes a few minutes ago, making them sting in the cold air. You didn’t need to look in your reflection to know that you probably looked like a wreck– entirely unbecoming of a soldier of your apparent status.
You didn’t want to get transferred. Despite your distance with the 141, you didn’t hate them. Far from, actually, you held a great deal of respect for each and every one of them. It was just that you felt like you didn’t have your place amongst them. Not good enough to be associated with them.
“Bit late to be out here in the cold, chuck.” A voice startled you out of your thoughts– one that you would recognise anywhere from the low rasp of a smoker's lungs.
“Captain.” You croaked, wincing at the patheticness in your voice. There was a scuff of boots as Price came closer, leaning into your line of vision with a furrowed brow which only furrowed more as he took in your dishevelled appearance.
“Something on your mind?” He asked kindly, perching on the arm of the bench to give you some personal space. He left his question open, allowing you any chance to steer the conversation how you wanted to. There was no judgement for catching you at your lowest, no disgust at your red rimmed eyes— just polite understanding and a non verbal offer of pleasant company.
“Why did you pick me, Captain?”
The question made him tilt his head, a frown beginning to tug on his features. You were worried you had insulted him.
“What brought this on, huh? Someone say something to you? Need me to have a word with them?” He straightened his back, scowling. Whilst you felt like you didn’t have a place in the 141, you could never deny the shield of protectiveness that Price held over his team. You remember in the back of your mind the day that some General who thought he was hot shit had the audacity to undermine Soap as nothing more than a ‘yappy dog’ when offered the Scot’s demolitions expertise. Price had appeared almost out of thin air and almost ripped the General a new one and things would have escalated into a fist fight had Laswell not intervened. It wasn’t as though Price didn’t think his own soldiers were capable of defending themselves, but he couldn’t care less about punishments aimed his own way over that of his Sergeants and Lieutenant. It was just a surprise that the protective streak extended over you, too, despite your distance to your teammates.
“I’ll sound stupid.” You mumbled, looking down at the ground as if expecting him to chastise you like a child. He didn’t.
“I’ve had my fair share of stupid over the years. Try me.”
“... and ungrateful.”
“I once had a guy punch me in the face two seconds after I took a bullet that would have killed him.” Price countered with a cut off chuckle once he remembered what was probably a mission long finished and cleared his throat. “C’mon, tell Captain what’s on your mind.”
And he sounded so sincere when he said it. Sounded like he genuinely wanted to hear what was going on in your head– that he was willing to waste what was already his important and limited time on someone like you.
“Sir—”
“John.” Price corrected gently, crows feet more noticeable at the corners of his eyes scrunched up when he smiled, “We’re off duty, you don’t need to be so formal.”
“... John.” You echoed, finding that you really didn’t like saying that. It felt like calling your teacher by their first name in primary school or a classmate’s parent other than their last name.
“Now, c’mon, tell me what’s on your mind. Might not be a therapist, but I’m better than bottling it up.” You wondered in the back of your mind how often Price did this. Sat with his soldiers and talked with them, offered them a listening ear to hear their vents and fears. You couldn’t help but feel honoured to be one of the few he willingly offered said time to. Your silence stretched on as you thought of the words to say, how to phrase what you wanted to say without sounding unappreciative of the opportunity that Price had offered you when he requested you join his team.
“I don’t feel like I belong here.” You blurted once the silence had stretched on for long enough to border on uncomfortable. John’s face fell and you quickly realised how bad that sounded and rushed to correct yourself.
“No, no, wait, let me explain–” the Captain closed his mouth to allow you to continue speaking, but you could tell that it was hard for him. “I just… you could have anyone better than me, you know? I’m not a demolition expert. I’m… I’m not the best Sniper. I’m the slowest on the team, pretty sure I’m the weakest–”
“Nope.” Price interrupted, finally breaking the bubble of your personal space as he took a proper seat next to you on the bench but still respecting the distance enough to keep a few inches between you. “Nope, not lettin’ you say another word.”
“But–”
“Nope.”
“Cap–”
“No.”
“But you could have anyone better—“
“But they wouldn’t be you.” He deflected easily. Far too easily. He leant back on the bench, crossing one leg over the other as he folded his arms over his chest. His fingers twitched and you could tell he was itching for a cigar but didn’t light one out of respect.
“Alright, sure, I can ask Laswell to give me one of the best soldiers in the SAS and have them brought here tomorrow. They could be the best of the best, top of their class, better than you and maybe even better than me. But that’s a bit of a stretch.” He winked and earned a weak chuckle from you. “But they won’t be you. I don’t pick just on skill alone, kid, I pick based on how I feel people would fit into the team. I chose you because I knew that you’d be perfect.”
“As for not being a demolitions expert, let  me let you in on a little secret. I’ve no fucking clue about demolitions, either. And you don’t have to be on the team to be the ‘best Sniper’. You’re better than most, and that’s what’s important. As for being the weakest– did you or did you not bodily lift Gaz in a fireman’s carry during training the other week while he was trying to act as an injured civilian? Quite dramatically, might I add. Swooned and everything.”
You remembered that practice mission. Quite fondly, actually. Gaz was a civilian and , after being struck by a foam bullet from Soap, had dramatically screamed in agony and crumpled to the floor. When you had lifted him up and over your shoulders, the bastard continued to wail something along the lines of telling his non-existent spouse that he loved them and that his money be given to his equally non-existent children. Soap got in another shot to the man’s head, knocking off his cap in the process. Distracted as you were trying to haul your teammate out of the danger zone, you couldn’t help but laugh thinking about it now.
“Last time I checked, Gaz is somewhat heavier than a sack of flour. Don’t tell him I said that, I’ll hurt his feelings.” Price was right, you supposed. You were more than capable of carrying Gaz over your shoulders, maybe even Soap or Price himself if the time called for it. Ghost you weren’t so sure about, though. The man was a walking mountain.
“What I’m trying to say is that you have to give yourself more credit. You’re more than good enough to be on my team. I chose you for a reason.”
You… did not expect that sort of reassurance from Price. You had hoped for something along those lines, yes, but perhaps with a thrown in criticism or three. You waited for a ‘but’ that never came. The man snorted beside you and when you gave him a quizzical look, he waved off your concern.
“Shit, if I didn’t know any better, I’d think the next thing out of your mouth would be that your parents never hugged you as a kid.”
Your silence made him slowly turn his head towards you. It would have almost been comical if the situation wasn’t. His face crumbled and a wounded sound emerged from his throat.
“Sometimes they did!” You rushed to defend the people that raised you. “And they gave me food and shelter, clothes when I needed them–”
“Fucking hell. No, that’s what they’re supposed to do because they’re your parents. What about telling you that they were proud of you? That they loved you? I saw your records. Top of your class in not just your training but in your education, too. Triple sciences, mathematics, all of it. They had to be proud of you for that? My parents would have killed for me to get even a passing grade in my GCSEs.” You looked down at the ground and it was Price’s turn to have his eyes fixed on you.
“They were proud of you, weren’t they?” He asked again, leaning forwards so he could catch your eye, his own filled with concern. “Kid?”
“I don’t talk to them much anymore.”
Price inhaled sharply and he leaned back again, looking around and clenching his jaw as if fighting back his anger. His fingers twitched again. You admired his self control as he was still yet to grab a cigar that you knew he kept on his person. Usually in his breast pocket while his lighter was in his right pocket.
“Listen to me.” The Captain said, a more stern edge to his voice now that he had gathered his thoughts together. “Whatever your family said to you— how they treated you? Forget it. They showed you obligation. Not love. They didn’t want what was ‘best’ for you, they wanted bragging rights. What you’ve achieved– here, in bootcamp, in university and in school, is something to take pride in– no, no, look at me.”
Your gaze had trailed to the side so you avoided looking at your Captain in the eyes. He noticed and clicked his fingers to gain your attention back on him.
“Don’t look away from me because I want you to listen to what I’m gonna say and I want you to look at my face as I say it.” Your eyes met his blue ones, “You should be proud of everything that you’ve achieved in your life. I’m sorry that your family never told you that and I’m sorry that I haven’t said that enough to you since you joined 141.”
You opened your mouth to say something– to argue or disagree but he shook his head.
“No. It’s my turn to speak now. I’m proud of you. I am so proud of you. Everything you’ve done and everything that you’re yet to do, I will always be proud of you. You’re an exemplary soldier and I knew the moment I saw you that you would be a perfect addition to the 141 and you have proved me right time and time again. You belong on this team just as much as the rest of the boys. Do you understand?”
So many words– proud, proud, proud. That’s all you had wanted to hear for so many years from someone whose opinion mattered to you. You wanted to be seen and Price, this godsend of a man, had seen you and more.
“Kid, do you understand me?”
You nodded once and then realised that Price wouldn’t have been able to tell through your shaking. Tears blurred in the corners of your eyes and you nodded again, not trusting your voice in case it shattered.
“What do you need from me?” Price’s voice was oh so soft, like he was talking to a frightened fawn. He could see how much his words had affected you and it clearly broke his own heart.
“A hug.” Your bottom lip wobbled and his face softened as he opened his arms, twitching his fingers to urge you closer.
“I can do that.”
You leaned into him and he quickly wrapped his arms around you, drawing you in close. You could smell the lingering scent of his last cigar. The smell of his office and cleaning oil. You felt his chin on the top of your head and felt how his chest rumbled as he spoke.
“You’re part of the 141 whether you like it or not, alright? Me and the boys want you here for as long as you want to be.”
At that moment, for the first time in your life. You felt wanted. You felt appreciated and you felt seen.

He makes me feel like I’ll never need anything ever again… like he and I are enough forever. I need you to meet him someday soon! I wanna introduce you to him, I promise you’ll love him too!”
You never got the chance to meet him. The more you think about it, the more you regret not making more of an effort to do so. Your best friend Anna had been in love with someone, and you hadn’t even had the chance to meet the man she spoke so fondly of.
“I haven’t been feeling very good lately, y/n… I’ve been to the doctors and they say there’s nothing wrong. They said it’s all in my head, that I should go talk to someone… y/n, do you also think I’m making myself sick?”
She only got weaker after that.
And he had seemingly fallen off the face of the earth after she became bedridden.
She said he came to visit, but she wasn’t in her right mind in those final weeks. Nobody had signed in at the reception. Nobody had seen a beautiful man with dark brown hair that gleamed blood-red when the sun shone. During all that time when she was admitted into the psychological ward at the city’s second-largest hospital you and Anna’s mom were the only visitors.
They said she was mad…
You had wondered a lot about who he might’ve been during those times when she had talked about him as if she had just spoken to him, but nobody had seen anyone in her room. Had he been a fraction of her imagination the entire time? Or had her mind created a lie based on a man who had left her before her illness took over her mind and body?
When she passed he was the one piece of the puzzle that you couldn’t let go of. If you had tried harder to meet him, would her illness have been caught earlier? Could it have been found and treated before it took her life…?
You’ve been staying late at the studio lately, trying to get through your feelings about losing her through your art. The shadows in the room seem to close in on you at every chance they get, and you don’t fight them. Hugged by the darkness is somehow better than being left so completely alone.
The brush strokes soothe you like nothing else is able to. Fizzling seas crash along the shore, a looming tree stands barren and alone, and her face appears in the dark clouds.
The only things you know to be true are that: she is gone, you are in pain, and you can only paint this one single picture. The lonesome tree at the cliff, watching the storms and waves trying to pull the ground away from beneath the large oak tree. You paint it over and over again, day after day, and you haven’t even paid any mind to when other artists have come and gone through the studio. People painted right next to you, people posed on the podium in front of you, and you didn’t care about any of it. All that matters to you is that you have been left all alone.
Your best friend has died, and you can’t even do the one thing you have been able to do your entire life ー paint. You had pursued your passion fiercely, not budging even as your parents pleaded with you to be reasonable and try “having a career worth having”, and let painting stay as a hobby. It was how you had met Anna. She was a dancer, and she had gotten into the same art college as you. Back then you had both been carefree young adults, simply trying your best to survive on your own for the first time in your lives. Now, she has left you, with the bittersweet taste of the last conversations you had had with her on your tongue.
“He inspires me you know, I’m just a dancer anymore when he looks at me, I become the air itself.”
You had smiled and nodded at her nonsense, she seemed to be dreaming of it. Her limbs were too weak to be of use, but she had the same smile on her lips as when she performed. You had tried your best not to be mad at her for only speaking of this man even as she lay dying in a hospital, dreaming of her passion was at least better than dreaming of him. The tears had stung your eyes as you held her hand before leaving her to her rambling.
It has been a while since her funeral, and you have practically been living at the studio. Home doesn’t make you feel any better, so you sleep on the small pullout couch in the corner instead. It isn’t meant to be slept on and your back is sore from the many nights in a row you have spent on it. But the art studio is at least comforting you more than home. You have too many memories of Anna in your apartment. Here you can focus on your art. At least, that’s the idea. You have had no inspiration since her death. It’s strange, she hadn’t exactly been the reason you painted, but everything that happened still affected even that part of you.
You had begun questioning if you should give it all up, move home to your parents for a few months, and go back to your waitress job until you had processed all of this. But could you give up on your passion? After years of struggling to pass courses and hustling on the side of your studies just to make it all work? What would Anna say if she knew…?
Tumblr media
You aren’t sure how it happened, it might've been a dream. It’s barely been three weeks since Anna’s funeral and you woke up with the clearest picture of a man you had never met in your mind.
He’s handsome, just like she had told you. He has gentle features, and dark, captivating eyes that catch hold of your mind and refuse to let go. You can’t seem to escape the image of the stranger you know in your bones is the same man Anna had known.
Sometime after the day you had first seen him in your mind, after hours in front of your easel and a blank canvas, you finally force yourself to pick up the brush. This couldn’t be the end of pursuing the only career you had ever wanted. You need to get over it and paint something, other than that stubborn tree and the punishing sea. His features burn your eyelids, and you see him as you blink and dream of him as you sleep. You can’t escape the visions, so you make him real, tangible. You create a portrait of the man in your head. Watching the finished portrait once you put down the brush.
You look at it until it gets dark again, staring into his eyes until you fall asleep on the couch in the corner.
Tumblr media
You wake up with a headache. You groan quietly since you neither have the energy nor the will to get up and take something for the throbbing pain stemming from the sides of your head. Before you could even summon the will to get up despite this, you almost jumped off the couch in surprise. There is another person in the room. You’re still in the corner of the room, so the stranger might’ve missed that you were even there, you reason. It looks like a man from behind. His short dark hair lay in a rather messy way against the back of his head. He’s turned away from you, watching the painting you had fallen asleep staring at. He’s tall, his shoulders are broad. You panic, because what did this man want, and why was he here in the middle of the night?
“Who are you?” you ask breathlessly, jumping up from the couch, trying to see if he’s someone you know in the dim light. Could he be another artist here to paint at an odd hour? You don’t recognize him, but you aren’t the best at remembering people, so you’re not sure if you should be screaming or apologizing for your hostile greeting.
The man didn’t even flinch at the sound of your voice. He didn’t seem like a threat, but then again, something about him creeped you out. You ignore the fact that he also intrigued you, and try to catch his attention again. “Hey, I asked you a question.” In response, he simply raises a hand as if to shush you.
This man hadn’t just broken into the studio late at night – he was also incredibly rude. The air around him is so still, so calm that it’s giving you chills. You want to see his face. If he was going to murder you, you want to have looked the fucker in the eye so you can, at least, curse his existence. You take a step forward, grabbing a long paintbrush from the drying rack. Maybe you can get his eye if you’re fast enough.
“So aggressive, little dove,” the man finally says. His voice is smooth and deep. It’s an attractive voice, at least your murderer has a nice voice, not that that makes this situation salvageable. You’re still prepared to stab him with the wooden brush in your hand.
“Wouldn’t you be aggressive if you woke up to a stranger in your bedroom as well?”
You had tried putting on a brave face, hoping that he wouldn’t notice how scared you were. He seemed to see through this facade easily though, chuckling at your attempt instead of turning around to face you. “Not your bedroom. I’ve been to your bedroom and this isn’t it. Also, not really a stranger, am I?”
Your breath won’t calm down, and your heart is beating mercilessly in your chest. This man had been in your apartment? And you know him? What the hell is he talking about? “Are you some kind of stalker you fucking creep?” you wheeze out, taking a step away from him.
You desperately wish for this to be some kind of nightmare.
When he turns around you’re sure it is because there’s no way the man you see in front of you isn’t just a fiction of your imagination. Dark hair, streaks of red when the light from the window hits it. Perfect lips, and captivating eyes. It’s him. The man in your painting, alive right in front of you. Your grip on the brush tightens, the bristles folding backward from the pressure of your palm. The world began to spin, he wasn’t real, he couldn’t be real. You see the edges of your vision blur and his smile widens at the visible panic you were displaying.
He was right, he isn’t a stranger.
“I think you might’ve heard about me, little dove. She used to talk about you ー the talented artist she had met in college.”
It couldn’t be, you hear the blood rushing in your ears like thunder. “Who?”
He smiled innocently, “Don’t you remember your friend? Anna, I think her name was.”
No. It couldn’t be true. The brush fell from your hand as you fell to the ground. Your already sleep-deprived mind couldn’t handle the thought that maybe the man Anna had spoken about was real, and right in front of you. Knocking yourself unconscious was the only thing your body could do to stop your heart from giving out.
Tumblr media
Have you gone mad as well? Maybe this was your way of grieving? Should you go to the hospital?
The questions spun in your mind. He was gone when you woke up. But the long brush in your hand and the bruises on your knees and shoulder felt like substantial proof that you had not lost your mind. He had been here, you know it, but who would believe you if you told them? Who would even care?
You decide to let it go, instead, you force yourself to go back to your apartment. A change of clothes was needed and you know that the lady down the hallway will be worried after not having seen you for days yet again. She had been at Anna’s funeral, wondering how and why your roommate had passed so quickly at such a young age. You hadn’t known what to answer. You still didn’t have your own answers as to “how” or “why”. At least, none that you could share…
You had managed to shower and get into some clothes when your neighbor knocked on the door.
“Hi, Auntie,” you greet her as she had insisted you do ever since you and Anna had first moved in. She’s older than any of your real aunts, but remarking on that had felt incredibly inappropriate, so you had both simply accepted your fate and begun calling her “Auntie”.
"Darling!" How are you? I haven't seen you here in days! I was beginning to worry. You know, this was just how it was with Anna, I didn’t see her for days and then she would show up saying she had been busy practicing and dating and whatnot!”
You don’t respond, forcing a smile. She meant well, but when she insisted on bringing you some food you wanted to refuse her. She didn’t mind your protests, “Oh, dear child, you don’t even know how sunken your face looks. You need some of my home-cooked food to get your spirits back up!”
In the end, your refrigerator was filled with casseroles and little boxes of different dishes, and a bitter feeling, knowing you wouldn’t be here to eat it. You left your apartment as swiftly as you had arrived, not wanting to stick around long enough to see the traces of a life lived – a life you didn’t feel belonged to you anymore. You brought what you could carry in your bag back to the studio.
Tumblr media
You fall asleep again, after hours of trying to create something, only creating more pain in your back from sitting on the wooden stool all afternoon instead. It’s not like you hadn’t tried your best to think about anything else besides him, you had actually tried your very best! But in the end, your mind kept wandering back to the dip of his lips, and the grin on his face as you fainted. You painted the outline of his lips, over and over again.
You hated him.
Would he come back?
He had mocked you with his words.
Why had you felt such a rush when he spoke?
You never wanted to see his perfect face ever again.
Why couldn’t you stop wishing to see him just one more time?
Tumblr media
You woke from a cool hand on your hair. Slowly and gently he patted your head until you opened your eyes. It was still dark out, and he was back. Leaning over your sleeping body, a large hand caressing the side of your head. You scream, and he smirks. He shushes you, and you push him away angrily.
“What the fuck are you doing?!” you shout.
“You wanted to see me again, I thought it best to wake you so your wishes could be fulfilled.” His voice coursed through you, giving you goosebumps again. “Don’t be angry with me, little dove.”
“I don’t want you here.”
“Don’t lie. It’s not polite,” he retorts as soon as the words leave your mouth.
“I don’t care, I hate you. Leave me alone!” You bark out the words, tears stinging your eyes. You don’t know why you’re reacting so strongly to him.
His tongue darts out to lick at his lips in annoyance. “Little dove,” he chirps menacingly, “Lie one more time and I won’t help you anymore.”
He terrifies you. He’s beautiful, but nothing about him feels true. He’s like those beautiful flowers forever trapped inside glass orbs. You wanted to protect the frozen beauty from getting the slightest scratch and smash it to pieces, all at once.
“Help me…?”
The gentle smile on his lips came back when you revealed that he had managed to pique your interest. “Mm, I help people. Artists, especially… it’s an interest of mine, the arts.” He winked at you, which caught you off guard.
“And you came here to help me?”
He nodded, but you weren’t convinced.
“Why? I didn’t ask for any help from you.”
He looked around the room, gaze wandering over the canvasses you had painted in the last couple of weeks, all depicting the shore and the dead tree. All except two. The portrait of him, and the sketches of his lips.
“You did that?” You ask incredulously. His gaze snaps back to you sharply.
“Of course. Didn’t it feel different? It felt like you had been inspired by something again, did it not?” His voice is honey in your ears, but the sticky feeling is making you want to flee for your life. You don’t.
“Want me to prove it?”
You frown, “What do you mean prove it? Are you going to inspire me to paint something on the spot in the middle of the night?”
“Tell me you want it and I’ll make sure you feel inspired for the rest of your miserable human life, little dove.”
His wording is so unnatural, you think for just a moment. You don’t trust him one bit, but perhaps this is the way to convince yourself that he is indeed just some creep that you need to get away from. You take a deep breath before answering, “I’ll agree if you tell me your name.”
The man stepped back, you had made him flinch. You don’t know why you made that exact demand. Maybe you had just really wanted to call him something other than “the one Anna spoke of” in your mind. It hurt each time you remembered her name.
“A name can be more powerful than you think, little dove,” his tone warned you of something. He seems on edge for the first time since you met him.
You don’t budge, his reaction only makes you more sure that you need to follow your gut. “Tell me, and you can help me.”
He hesitated before seemingly giving in to some innate need that you didn’t understand yet. “Yunho. That’s one of my names… Use it with care, little dove.”
You turned his name around in your mind, tasting the sweet taste on your tongue as you said it out loud. “Yunho… Sure, help me find inspiration to paint again.”
The same excited and menacing grin he had worn the last time you spoke now grace his lips again, and you feel you have committed a horrible mistake.
Tumblr media
You look around the room, the sun is rising and casting long shadows from the easels placed around the podium. How has the entire night already passed you by? You have no memory of sleeping. You look at your hands, they are covered in paint. Why had you been so messy? You couldn’t remember right away. You know that you have painted. Yunho had kissed your hand, you can still remember the heat of his breath on your skin. Then you had picked up your brush. You hadn’t been frightened by the fact that you weren’t in control of your actions. After the weeks of forcing yourself to do the most basic human functions to stay alive, having something else move your hand in your stead was somehow freeing.
When you look at the canvas your breath stops. It’s him, you have painted him again. He’s not completely like himself, however, he is just as captivating in the picture as he is in reality. You had managed to capture his beautiful features, from the way his cupid’s bow dips graciously on his lips, to the way his hair gleams blood red when light shines through it. But behind him is something new, something you have never seen belonging to a human before. Wings, almost translucent wings, appearing on the canvas as a shimmer of light blue and white, adorned with shimmering ruby gemstones. He looked magnificent.
“Pretty,” you hear his voice whisper on your neck before you feel his soft lips press against your skin. You shiver, it feels good but you’re still in shock, watching the man who’s behind you on the canvas in front of you.
“How is this possible?” you mumble.
“You were inspired,” he responds calmly, brushing your hair away from your face from behind. “Did you enjoy it?”
You have a feeling that the answer to that is yes, but you also know you shouldn’t reveal that. “I don’t remember.”
“I think you did… I know you did.”
The way he seems to know everything, even the things you don’t, scares you a bit. But you might be addicted to the feeling of his touch, you’re addicted to what he can do to you, addicted to what he makes you feel deep inside. He has given you your passion back, he has helped you paint again, and you had enjoyed it this time. This shouldn’t be possible. Why does this man have so much power over you that he could help you paint as you had used to, for the first time since Anna’s passing?
There’s no way he’s human, no human looked like he did. In the morning light, he was even more dashing, even more unreal. You want to smash his perfect exterior to pieces and see the flower inside rot as the air hits its delicate petals.
“Go away. I don’t want this,” you choke out, pushing down the sobs that threaten to escape your throat. He kisses your neck again, but you don’t move. “I think I’ll die if I don’t end this Yunho. Please, just leave me alone.”
“It’s possible, but maybe you’ll be the one who makes it out alive.” His honey voice rang in your ears as the day began and his touch against your back disappeared. You cried yourself to sleep. You knew everything was wrong, Yunho was wrong. But there was nothing you could do about it anymore.
Tumblr media
Two days passed without so much as a glimpse of Yunho. The hours of the night when he didn’t come to see you had almost been enough to convince you that you had truly gone mad. But then, suddenly, there he was, as dashing as ever. Pretty eyes watching you stare at an empty easel.
A chilling chuckle escaped him, nothing more. He stands and gazes upon your hopeless state for a while in silence. You will never get rid of him, you realize. You’re not upset about it. You can’t be upset. Nothing feels real anymore.
Yunho circles you, a predator watching his prey. You don’t flinch under his gaze this time. When he leans his lean body against the stool next to yours you feel disgusted. You weren’t upset that he would never leave you alone, but you deserved to know why, at least.
“What do you want from me?”
“Want?” He sounds almost offended.
“You’re not here just because it’s fun to sit around and watch me paint all day.”
He didn’t give you an answer, he just smiled at you with that perfectly enchanting smile of his. He’s dangerous, his beauty is dangerous. He leans forward on the stool, his face now scarily close to yours. Will he kiss you…? You can feel Yunho’s breath, hot against your lips, his gaze burning as he stares into your eyes and flickers down to your mouth. Do you want him to kiss you…?
What do you want from him?
You almost forget that he hasn’t given you an answer when he bends forward, his lips inches away from yours. This time you do flinch. Can he read your mind too? No, your eyes stare right back into his, a flash of maroon tints his irises an unnatural color before it disappears just as fast as it showed up.
His thumb drags across the side of your cheek, a small smirk plays on Yunho’s deceptive lips. “I’ll make you a promise,” he whispers, “I promise to make sure you’re motivated to do what you love the most, for the rest of your life.”
His breath burns hot against your wet lips. You want to kiss him. “A promise…?” you exhale, mind not quite able to focus on his words, but they sound good to you right now. You swallow, eyes flickering to his perfectly shaped cupid bow, his rosy lips, and the tongue that teases behind his plump lips. “What… what would I have to do…?”
“A clever dove, I knew you would ask the right questions.”
You didn’t truly understand though, too distracted by Yunho’s eyes mirroring your flickering gaze, teasingly watching the way your hands fiddled with the brush in your hand.
“All you have to do in return is say that you agree, and I will fulfill all of your wishes.” His soothing hand moves around to the nape of your neck, his grip gentle but secure.
Will he fulfill them all?
Does it even matter? Almost anything would be good enough to accept right now, at least you can’t think of something that would be worse than walking through life as the zombie you had been since… Since Anna’s death. If you accept his proposal, will you find out what happened to her?
“I agree.”
Your stomach flips when plush lips are pressed against yours. It seems he had already begun living up to his word. At least he wasn’t playing a trick on you when it came to that part. His hands travel over your body, he knows exactly how to touch you the way you like it. Has he been watching you for a long time? Or is it something magical, like those shimmery wings you had imagined he had? You’re not sure, but knowing could wait until later. Right now you have a couple of needs. Needs that Yunho had promised to fulfill. His leg firmly presses open your legs, strong muscle relieving some of the intense pressure that had built up in your lower abdomen since the thought of having him in this way had sprouted in your mind. You need more. You close your eyes even tighter as you let the brush fall from your grip. Hands moving across Yunho’s perfect form without hesitation.
The sound of the brush hitting the floor didn’t reach your ears. You were already lost to the world of humans.
Tumblr media
“Do you believe in fairies? I do. I think there are things we don’t know in this world. Magical things. If I could go there I would, I think it’s a beautiful place, nothing like Earth. I’d want to dance for them…”

Lover | Patrick Wilson x Fem!reader
(SEQUEL)
previous part click here CHAPTER 1 // CHAPTER 2
Tumblr media
Summary : You and Patrick had a one night stand a few months ago. And now you’re 6 months pregnant. You don't expect to meet the father of your child because you’re a woman who prefers to be alone. But fate said otherwise, you meet again with the father who made your stomach grow big.
And you stupidly didn’t know that he was an actor.
Warning : smut, fingering, rough sex, unprotected sex, p in v sex, breeding kink.
It's been 6 weeks since the birth of your twins. Of course Patrick which the father of your baby…has his responsibility, not only focusing his attention on your babies but also he takes care of you.
He took a full 1 month off work after you gave birth. You feel safe with him, in his house in New Jersey. You decided to stay with Patrick because you realized that taking care of two twins born in your own womb was more difficult than taking care of your uncle’s baby twins.
Your belly started to shrink, but not completely. You don’t really care about your appearance, all you think about is your children. In the last 2 weeks, Patrick has started shooting for the Conjuring 4 film project.
You don’t blame him for that. Patrick was actually worried about leaving you alone to work, but you tried to convince Patrick that you were fine and you could take care of your children at home. Although sometimes Patrick likes to come home late at night, even coming home the next morning.
You try to understand and don’t want to burden him. After all, you are both just dating, not yet a married couple.
That night, as usual, Patrick came home late. You are just overwhelmed with taking care of your two babies who have difficulty sleeping and keep crying. but exactly at 11 o'clock they were fast asleep. and a few minutes later Patrick knocked on the door and you found him looking very tired.
“How’s the twins, hon?” Patrick asked then he walked towards the baby box and saw that your babies were fall asleep.
“It’s good that you see them when they’re calm and sleepy, not when they crying loudly.” You said and then Patrick kissed your forehead softly.
You quickly made him some tea as he sat on the sofa.
“Very tiring day, huh?” Patrick muttered then started to turn on the TV which displayed the latest news. “You must be very tired looking after our twins. I’m sorry, I wasn't here just now...”
“Patrick...” you replied, handing him the still warm cup of tea and sitting next to him, “you’re also tired from work and I would understand that.” You unbuttoned the top of Patrick's shirt so that Patrick wouldn't get hot.
“Would you still understand if I was forced to act in a romantic scene and kiss the lips of someone else?”said Patrick while lowering his head. You can see how frustrated he is.
You held his hand, “Patrick... you are a professional actor, that is your job. I don’t have a problem with that as long as you can keep your heart for me.”
“That’s not it,” said Patrick, looking straight into your eyes, “I feel I’m no longer be professional for doing that scene. The director said that I no longer have chemistry with Vera on screen. That’s a bad thing.
“...the kiss scene was re-recorded continuously because I couldn’t do it well. Even though the genre of the film is Horror, I couldn't do it.”
“Why?” a stupid word somehow comes out of your mouth even though you already know the answer.
“I’m getting more and more crazy about you,” said Patrick honestly. He looked at you with a pitiful face, “I’m too pushy to work even though I still want with you here. I...”
Patrick touched your cheek and rubbed it, “I love you.” a sentence that he had never said in a long time and finally said it.
You froze. You don’t know how to react. When you started to open your mouth, Patrick continued, “I really love you. I want to quickly finish the last film in the Conjuring trilogy so I can...”
Patrick stopped. He felt his mouth pulling him to say the next sentence. You raised an eyebrow, “so you can what?”
“So that I can,” Patrick mumbled, his voice getting deeper, his eyes darkening, “I can marry you, have all of you.”
You felt his lips meet yours. He kissed you gently then over time his kisses got hotter and Patrick’s mouth became more aggressive.
Patrick carried your body towards your bedroom. He kissed your lips then laid you down on the bed. You felt his soft hands slowly open your nightgown to admire every inch of your body.
“You’re so beautiful, hon,” Patrick couldn’t stop kissing your body. He kissed your belly, a belly that has given birth to his baby twins. He kissed your chest, then your nipples, he moved up to kiss your collarbone.
He inhales the scent of your musk perfume and you feel his breath rising and falling around your neck, “I've been waiting for this for a long time...” his left hand holds and squeezes your butt, while his right hand grabs your leg to move your body position.
He took off your panties slowly. You can feel one of his fingers on your clit and he rubs it. You’re moaning. And then Patrick starts to insert his two hands into your cunt while his thumb now takes over rubbing your clit.
He starts playing with his finger which controls your cunt. Your cunt is so wet, it soaks your sheets. You continued to moan, then you felt his tongue now rubbing your clit with fast movements. You moan louder as his tongue begins to lick your cunt deliciously.
“Patrick…” you said in a low voice. You couldn’t stop moaning because his tongue was moving faster and faster in your cunt, “Patrick, please...”
Patrick stopped, and he saw that your cunt had soaked almost half of your sheets. Patrick started to open the buckle and then the button of his trousers roughly, and he was now kissing your neck hungrily.
You groaned in pain as he started biting your neck. Both of your hands are now trying to unbutton Patrick’s shirt as his big hard cock now enters your wet cunt.
You can see Patrick’s perfect six pack body in front of you now. Patrick hugged your body, while speed up his fucking movements.
“I will fill your belly with my baby again,” said Patrick in a rough and deep voice. His blue eyes getting darker, looking at you with a look of hunger and lust, “I will make you suffer again because you have to carry my baby for 9 months.”
You shed tears because you felt his huge cock going in and out of your vagina with increasingly fast movements. You felt his breathing getting faster and rougher in your ear, “you understand that, hon? I will give you my baby again in your stomach.”
You nodded slowly. And then he smiled and kissed your lips, “good girl,”
Then he turns your body around, and now the position is doggy style. He inserts his hard cock into your cunt. He’s now riding you while both of your hands are held by him.
You moaned louder, then you felt his lips kiss the back of your neck gently, then slowly you felt his hand strangle your neck.
“Patrick...”you moaned in a low voice, his penis going in and out of your vagina from behind, “Patrick, I want to cum.”
Patrick’s hands squeezed your butt and hit it, “Wait, hon.”
He squeezed your ass, speeding up his movements making you even more overwhelmed and you groaning in pain but it was all worth it after you both cum together. He’s really cum in your wet cunt.
You’re both tired. Patrick takes out his cock then you can see his sperm is still spilling even though he has put it inside.
He laid his body and yours at the same time. He hugged you warmly from behind while both of your bodies were covered by the blanket now.
“That was amazing,” you said.
Patrick kissed your neck gently and tightened his embrace, “I love you, hon, I really love you.”
You smiled, “I love you too...” then you both drifted off to sleep in a sparkling night.

➜ 990 words, breakup angst
➜ finished an old piece real quick, it is very unedited but lets not talk abt that! Also unrelated but does anyone else feel like music videos have died...idek if that makes sense.
Tumblr media
You wanted to erase him from your mind. Make it as if he’d never existed and spare yourself the heart renching pain that burned your chest as you stared up at the ceiling blankly. The little memory’s of the two of you seemed to project themselves onto the dimly lit white plaster. Each one flashed in your mind like a slideshow. It felt as if someone was reaching into your chest and crushing your heart in their hand with each scene.
This feeling of heartbreak was foreign to you, you’d never been so devastated over a breakup. So what made him so different?
You didn’t know how to deal with this nauseating, gut renching pain that seemed to explode from every inch of your body. Your face was swollen from crying, eyes blood shot as they stung with fresh tears. Your body trembled in exhaustion, heavy sobs turning into pathetic whimpers.
Your hands came up to cover your face as the tremors in your body amplified as another wave of grief hit you.
He was only one person who could quell the pain you felt, but he was also the cause of it. All you needed was to hear his voice. That alone would be enough to soothe your broken heart. You were sure it wasn’t appropriate to call him. You knew very well it wasn’t. No one calls their ex.
But your hand seemed to have a mind of its own though, leaving your face to rummage around your nightstand table. You barely heard the loud clatter through your cries as you pushed various items off your nightstand in a desperate search for your phone. Your fingers grazed over it shortly after pushing one of your perfume bottles over, and you greedily grabbed at it, renching it off the charging cord to unlock it.
You have to squint against the harsh glare of the blue light, your tears obscuring the images displayed as you swiped onto his contact. You’d never hit call so fast in your life, clutching your phone like a life line as your mind begged him to pick up. You knew he wasn’t asleep, he rarely slept much to start with, and when he did he’d doze of around two or three am, never earlier. It was still only twelve.
Time seemed to stretch on excruciatingly slowly with every ring, your whimpers becoming desperate and the tears flowing faster.
Finally, after what felt like an eternity the ringing stopped abruptly and your phone beeped to signal he’d picked up. Your raw sob was ripped from you as you heard his gruff voice filter through the speaker.
“Hello?” He sounded groggy; voice laced in exhaustion, but you couldn’t care.
“Simon,” you choked out, your chest heaved, relief washing over you at the sound of his voice.
From the other side of the phone his eyes widened, all hints of exhaustion leaving him in an instant. He sat up, fully alert now.
“Y/n?” He asked incredulously. You replied with another sob, this one much louder than the last. He was frozen, unsure of what to do as you cried, it hurt him to know he was the cause of your pain but the rational part of him knew you were better off without him. The sounds of your cries tore him apart, and your next words hurt even more.
“It hurts so much Simon,” You cried, “and it’s all your fault. I hate you so much.”
“I know love...” he whispered, speaking more to himself than you as hiccups began to break your pained wails. “It’s for the better though.”
There's a pause of wordless silence, only filled with the sound of your tears. His heart thumps in pain, spreading the poison of guilt through his body, pumping it into his veins. It’s as if you’re trying to make him feel worse about this than he already does as you try to gather enough strength to speak through your sobs and translate the garbled screams of thought going off in your head.
“No-” hiccup. “No Simon, you don’t get to say that-” hiccup. “Because there is nothing better about this,” you don’t have to specify what ‘this’ is. He knows exactly what you mean because he feels it to. He hears it with every sob, and cry, he feels it with every pang of his heart and word spoken to you under such circumstance. Circumstances he caused.
You continue, “and you can sit there, in your stupid plain apartment, and go out with your stupid friends and you can pretend that the last year meant absolutely nothing to you but I know that at the end of the day, when your lying in bed waiting to fall asleep in a cold, empty bed, it hurts you just as much is it hurts me.”
Simon doesn’t cry, you’d never seen a single tear even build in his eyes. You’d even used to joke about how there was no heart under all that military gear, but at this moment he feel his eyes sting with the foreign feeling of tears, and his throat tightens. He swallows heavily at your words, blinking rapidly.
“Why’d you call me sweetheart?” You’d say the nickname makes you sob even harder, but you're not sure that’s possible. You’re too hurt to lie to him.
“B-because I needed you Simon,” you want to scream at yourself.
“Even though I’m the one who hurt you?” he questions idly, throwing the covers off himself and rushing to grab his car keys. A half laugh leaves you and it almost brings him to smile, but its quickly followed by another sob.
“Even though you’re the one who hurt me,” you repeat back to him in confirmation, and for some odd reason he feels his heart swell with love. He slips on his shoes quickly, and opens the door, you can hear it creek on the other side of the line.
“I’m on my way sweetheart.”

MASH X READER! Fluff!
“Mash you don't look too good,” I said worriedly. “What do you- ACHOO!” He sneezed. “That’s what I mean,” I said. “No, must be the weath-CHOO!” He sneeze again. “Weath-choo? Yeah I don’t think so. Come on, let’s take you to bed,” I said and began dragging him. “But I still gotta workout,” he shuffled. “The longer you’re sick, the more I’ll babysit you so you can’t workout,” I scolded him. “Why are you babying him so much (Y/N)?” Dot cried as he and the rest of the gang walked up. “Maybe she’s in love with him?” Lance asked. “H-Huh? I can’t just c-care for my f-friend?” I stuttered, avoiding their eyes. Is it really that noticeable??? “Anyways, I’m just saying he’s been sneezing for 4 days now, and I don’t know about you guys but I’m tired of him sneezing everywhere…” I groaned. “That is true… during potions class he blew up our project because his sneeze blew our pot off the table…” Finn sighed. “Exactly, I’m tired of snot rockets this guys throws. He also sneezed my sandwich out of my hands,” I cried. “You said you forgave me for that,” Mash sniffed. “Doesn’t mean it’s erased from my memories!” I huffed. “How dare you do that to my dear (Y/N)’s sandwich?!” Dot glared and grasped Madh’s shoulder tightly. “It was an- ACHOO!” He sneezed on Dot’s face. Leaving Dot speechless and Mash asking for tissues. “You really wanna die don’t ya pal?” Dot said darkly, as he began squeezing Mash’s skull. “Ow. Ow. Ow. (Y/N). Save me,” Mash said, monotoned. “Come on Dot, I’ll treat you to a nice coffee. Please let go of Mash?” I asked, placing a hand on Dot’s arm. “Ok!” Dot smiled and began swooning, while Finn watched astonished at the sudden change in moods. “Alright come on Mash, time for bed. Everyone’s tired of you sneezing everywhere,” you sighed and began dragging him once again to his room. “Ahh. Save me. I want to workout,” Mash said very monotonously to the guys as I dragged him away.
I forced Mash into bed and tucked him in. “Good, now I’ll make you some porridge,” I smiled and began walking towards the door. “And cream puffs!” He called out. “Or- nevermind…” he said softly. “You remembered I can’t bake didn’t you?” I sighed. “Noo…” Mash said as he avoided my eyes. “Sorry, I wish I could make you a whole plate of cream puffs, but I can’t bake like you,” I frowned. “It’s fine, porridge is fine…” Mash said, obviously disappointed. “Ok…” I sighed. “Now don’t get out of bed, or else…” I glared darkly. “Scary,” he said before I closed the door shut and headed towards the kitchen.
I quickly finished making the porridge and began cleaning up. “I wish I could make him some cream puffs… he seemed so disappointed,” I said softly as I washed my dishes. “Oh hey (Y/N), I thought you would be here,” Finn said as he walked into the kitchen. “Hey Finn! Just finished making some porridge for Mash,” I smiled as I finished washing the remaining dishes. “You know you didn’t have to. You really gotta stop spoiling Mash, or else it’ll go to his head,” Finn sighed. “It’s fine, plus I want to do this. It makes me happy that I could do things like this for him,” I blushed. “Hmmm… (Y/N can I ask you something?” He asked. “What’s up?” I replied as I grabbed the packaged porridge. “Do you have feelings for Mash?” He asked. I felt my heart begin to face, “I-I-I don’t k-know what y-you’re talking about,” I stuttered. “Just as bad as Mash…” he laughed. “Is it that noticeable?” I asked nervously. “Sort of? Well your reaction to the question gave it away, but your actions can come off as friendly. Especially to someone like Mash, I’m sure he doesn’t know when someone’s actions have ulterior motives behind them,” He explained. “Yeah that makes sense,” I said. “So, planning on confessing to him?” He asked, as we continued walking back to his room. “I don’t think so, Mash has his mind on other stuff. Plus, I’m scared if he rejects me it’d be too awkward for us to hang out. I might as well just leave things as they are,” I softly smiled. “Are you sure that’s healthy?” Finn asks. “No… I’m certain it’s not, but trust me I don’t want to mess up what we have now,” I said, trying to cover my true feelings with a soft smile. “Well, whenever you feel overwhelmed you can talk to me. I don’t mind hearing you rant,” Finn said as he smiled back. “Thanks Finn, that means a lot,” I said. “Anyways! I gotta rush back to Mash before this gets cold!” I said and ran off.
I knocked before slowly entering the room, and noticed a sleeping Mash. I walked in slowly and shut the door trying to not make too much noise. I placed the still warm porridge on Mash’s desk and walked over to him. I slowly sat beside him on the bed and checked his temperature, a little warm. I slowly moved my hand to his cheek, and Mash quickly nuzzled into it. “You’re so cute,” I said softly. “You think so?” He asked, causing me to freeze. “S-Sorry,” I said as I tried pulling my hand back before Mash shook his head. “Keep it there, I like it,” he said and nuzzled into my hand again. “I didn’t know you were awake,” I laughed nervously. “I was just resting my eyes, but your hand feels nice and soft,” he said as he slowly opened his eyes to my flustered, beet face. “Did I get you sick?” He asked as he slowly sat up and placed his hand on my cheek. “N-No I-I just…” I said as I tried to get up. “Oh- hold on,” Mash said as he grabbed onto my hand. I yelped as I fell forward, landing over Mash. We stared at each other for a few seconds before Mash cupped my face again. “Why are you leaving?” He asked. “N-No I wasn’t,” I blushed. “Are you sure you’re ok?” He asked again. “N-No…” I sighed. “Oh no. I got you sick?” He asked. “No, you didn’t… I just… I’m just making it hard on myself,” I sighed as I got up and sat down on the edge of his bed. He quickly sat up and sat next to me. “Mash, there’s something I-I need to tell you,” I said slowly. “What’s wrong?” He asked. “Well… it’s just that-“ I cut myself off. Why is it so hard? Should I? Maybe this is a sign to not go through with it… He’ll reject me, I know it… “Nevermind… I should go,” I said as I quickly stood up and headed towards the door. “The porridge is right-“ I felt a hand grab my arm. “(Y/N) stop,” he said. “What’s wrong?” He asked. “Nothing! I’m just being weird,” I groaned and began rubbing my temples. “I’m not letting you leave until you tell me what’s wrong,” Mash said and quickly repositioned himself in front of the door. “Mash… you’re not being fair!” I said. “(Y/N) please,” he pleaded. “I like you ok?!” I yelled. “Do you know how hard it is to keep that secret? To be around someone you like and pretend that you only like them as a friend and no more?! I didn’t want it to be weird between us! I was gonna pretend these feelings didn’t exist! But you- you just had… you-“ I fell to the floor, feeling defeated. “I just didn’t want you to end up treating me differently,” my voice cracked as I stared at the floor. “Why would I?” He asked. I looked up at him dumbfounded, “Because I just said I like you!” I yelled, feeling my tears seep out. “I know… and… I think I like that,” he said softly. “H-Huh?” I asked in between my tears. “I like how nice you are and how you spoil me,” he said and dropped down to the floor. “Finn asked me the other day how would I feel if you treated someone else like that and… I didn’t like it… I didn’t like the idea of you doing all that for someone else, and he made me realize that I should do the same for you,” he said and wiped away my tears with his thumb. “Spoil you and make you feel happy too,” he said. “Y-You do?” I hiccuped. “Yeah,” he smiled. “So please stop crying, cause Kevin is getting mad at me for making you cry,” he said pointing to his left pec. I laughed and wiped my tears. “That’s better," he said and helped me up. “Now, time for porridge?” He asked. “Yeah! I hope you like it,” I smiled. “If you made it, then I’ll make sure to eat all of it. Good calories,” he said and began eating. I smiled and watched Mash eat the porr- “ACHOO!” He sneezed, causing a lot of the porridge to plop around the room and… on me. “Sorry (Y/N),” he sulked. “You’re lucky I like you, or else I would’ve killed you,” I smiled and began cleaning up. “Scary…” Mash said softly and began helping.

There was a time when Tony had panicked about his future.
He’d had Peter young, just a couple of years into a crappy relationship that had fallen apart long before their bundle of joy had come and couldn’t be fixed even by Peter’s cherubic smile. From the very first moment, Tony had loved his boy. There hadn’t been a moment that Tony had regretted the relationship that had led him to his son, or ever wished that things had turned out differently. Not when Peter had had a phase as a baby of not sleeping through the night if the temperature wasn’t exactly 78 degrees, not when he’d learnt to talk and hadn’t exited his “why” phase for weeks on end, not even during the long weekend when Peter had caught pretty much every bug floating around his daycare all at once.
Parenthood was where Tony thrived but, through it all, he’d lain awake at night and longed for someone next to him that wasn’t 2 feet tall and not quite potty trained. He’d wanted a conversation with another adult that wasn’t hurried at the drop-off gate or about yet another late project at work, and he’d wanted an arm around his waist when he was dangerously close to falling asleep whilst making himself his first coffee of the day.
Everything he wanted for himself, he also wanted for Peter’s sake. He’d wanted someone else to see Peter’s drawings and marvel over them as they went up on the fridge day after day after day. He’d wished for presents from a grandparent at Christmas and another parent who could calm them both down when Peter refused to sleep even as the sun started to rise on the horizon.
Tony had spent years worrying that no one would take on a small child with an absent parent who could come back and cause a storm at any time. He’d never expected anything to come from a one-night stand when the lights had been turned on in the morning and all of Peter’s toys could be seen in their scattered glory.
But, then again, Tony had never imagined Steven Grant Rogers.
.
They’d decided early into their planning that they didn’t want to do a walk down the aisle. Neither of Tony’s parents would be there to walk with him and Sarah had gotten so tearful at the prospect of their engagement alone that they didn’t trust her to be able to see to walk down the aisle on the wedding day itself.
What they had decided instead was to have Peter as the star of the show, with the rings safely in his possession as he walked down the aisle to both of his parents waiting for him at the altar.
And, boy, did he steal the show.
Tony watched with a wide grin as Peter all but skipped up the aisle, his tuxedo so little it was almost comical. Casting a glance to his left, Tony felt something ridiculously fond catch in his chest at the pure and unabashed expression of love on Steve’s face as his eyes tracked Peter’s dance.
“God, look at him,” Steve murmured.
“He’s gonna drop those rings before we can get them,” Tony laughed.
“Yeah, probably. But he looks cute, so I’m sure we’ll survive without them.”
Tony scoffed. Be that as it may, he wanted a ring on his finger.
All of a sudden, Peter let out a gasp and started running. “Grandma!”
A ripple of laughter made its way through the guests as Peter headed straight for Steve’s mother.
“Oh, look at you, my darling,” Sarah crooned, bending down and smoothing a hand over Peter’s hair when he reached her. “You look so gorgeous, little man."
"Hi, Grandma!"
"Hello, my love," Sarah laughed.
"Wanna sit with you!"
"Of course, but first you have to give Daddy the rings. They're very important.”
Peter took Sarah’s hand in a tight grip and practically shoved the ring cushion in Tony’s direction without looking at him. Steve laughed loudly, his eyes still solely on Peter as well.
Tony might have been jealous if he hadn’t been so relieved. So, yeah, he thought to himself as he untied the rings from the cushion and handed them to the officiant, he really needn’t have worried after all.

Oh, Jimin...
These are my personal impressions, thoughts, interpretations and opinions on Jimin’s solo FACE album. Some of the things I say here are built on things I know from past original content, interviews and what Jimin has shared personally. Some of it is just me reveling in my first experience with Jimin’s long awaited album.
It is such a serious album. Jimin said this is the story of what he was feeling, chronologically, 2020-2022, during the pandemic era. At the beginning of 2020, BTS was rising higher than any Korean artist ever had before and then all of a sudden the momentum came to a halt, and there was nothing. Having the life you’ve known suddenly jerked away from you is traumatizing.
Once the king of social media, Jimin almost ceased by the end of 2020 and never went back. “Oh, he just outgrew it.” No, the man was struggling with his issues and not only did he not need to see the extra crap spewed all over social media but he had nothing left to give, nothing left inside.
I noticed how Jimin looked physically back in 2020. He was downright frail y’all. The man was trying to give us what we wanted at the expense of his mental and physical health. That breakdown he had during the ending ments in Memories 2020 was too much. They were all stressed out, but Jimin... those that said he was being over dramatic... the man was struggling with his mental health.
I wrote this last June, 2022 but never posted it:
After Memories 2020 dropped, we’ve heard Jimin say he struggled after everything got canceled. Days upon days that turned into months upon months and more than two years passed before they finally returned to in-person performances. He stated that during isolation and lockdowns he wondered what was the purpose of his life, or that he had lost his purpose.
Jimin’s struggles were most likely much more severe than he let on and he 100% kept it to himself because he didn’t want us to worry about him. That sounded like solo delusional projection but think about Jimin and how he’s behaved in the past...always telling us not to worry. Always saying things to reassure us that he’s happy, he eats well, don’t worry.
There was no working, no performing, their lives and his life changed drastically overnight just like all of ours did. Would we ever get back to normal? What will happen in the future? When will all of this end?
Face-Off
The album opens with a carnival calliope, it was a little jarring and unexpected. The images it conjured in my brain as the notes played were of a worn out circus winding down. It made me think of the big wild circus that WAS his life, and it just wound down and keeled over.
Knowing the premise of the album, I think the title, Face-Off, implies Jimin is looking at himself. Speaking to himself. The lyrics could also imply he is speaking to someone else, like people he once trusted. But I don’t think so.
He was having a confrontation with himself. Reasoning and bargaining with himself.
Tumblr media
Maybe he once trusted himself but in this time and place in which he finds himself, he questions what is he doing? and second guessing himself. Day in and day out, the days are all the same nothingness. Hiding his feelings, faking it, pretending it was all ok. It’s all cool. It’ll be all right. He has said many times he looks back at that time and thinks he could have done more for the fans. Being hard on himself. His own worst critic.
And then this enters the picture: using alcohol to self-medicate. Getting drunk. Numbing the pain. Forgetting. Drink all night. Oh, Jimin...
We know he has a very high alcohol tolerance. He once mentioned that he used to drink a lot. When he declined the champagne during the live after the Busan concert, we all made jokes about it and moved on. Oh, Jimin.
Face-Off feels like it could have been a purging song when he wrote it. A little primal, you know... just scream, get it out. Painful but cathartic.
This is the lyric that was scary: “tonight is a beautiful night, I think I’m close (or I think I have it all/I think I’ve found myself)” were chilling to me because they did not come across as optimistic, they came across as being at the end of one’s rope after becoming a shell of a person. He follows that line with “tonight I don’t want to be sober.” Oh, Jimin.
His vocals open very low and moody then transition to a plaintive cry, punctuated with anger.
Pour it down, pour it out... the anger, the emotions, the words, just pour it out.
Interlude: Dive
Like the calliope that sadly wound down, Dive opens with the melody slowly winding back up to speed. Another day starting. Someone knocks, voices, the ambience of a normal day, breathing, running footsteps. The crowd cheering and Jimin’s voice during his ending ments at the Busan concert, more sounds of people in his life. We hear Jimin’s footsteps trudging, it sounds like we hear him climbing steps, entering his house, closing the door, and first thing he does when he is alone in the quiet is pour a drink and drinking deeply. I am concerned.
Maybe it is supposed to represent the closing of Chapter 1, about a day in the past that was once a “normal” day, since it included the last things he said during that concert.
The music track is dreamlike, repetitive. Living in a dream. Every day. Same thing. Go home. Drink. Do it again. Dive means go deep. In deep. He’s in deep.
There is a very subtle line between drinking in order to make it through another day/night versus drinking to relax and wind down. A slippery slope to walk on every single day.
We’ve transitioned from the world changing overnight to living in a daze trying to pretend everything is ok. Coping.
Like Crazy
(I am going to express my thoughts using the English version of the song.)
Jimin has explained the song is influenced by the movie of the same name.
I have learned that the dialogue from the movie was NOT original to the movie but hired voice actors specifically for the song: “I think we can last forever.” “I’m afraid that everything will disappear.” “Just trust me.” And at the end: “How long again?” “What’s the point?”
He has said the dialogue that was used fit the message of the song. I have not seen the movie. I don’t think the song is a literal interpretation of the movie. I think the song’s basic concept is the emotional struggle trying to maintain a dream. But maintaining a dream is unrealistic no matter what you do to try to make it last. Jimin had to come to terms with that.
Jimin’s vocals begin very light and airy, very dreamy.
Tumblr media
[God, he’s fine.]
The vibe of the song is sort of retro, very much evokes the artist, The Weeknd. It has a very 80′s synth beat. It is a very danceable song. Like I said, on the surface.... very dreamy.
Vocals transition and it still seems like he’s having a conversation with himself, or with a voice within himself. A voice telling him to “trust me, follow me... I will make it good for you.” Me: gives a side eye to that voice in Jimin’s head because now I know it’s not trustworthy. “I’ll take the pressure off, been reaching for the stars.” Chasing that high. Go easy, Jimin. Please be careful.
Yes, the lyrics are also very sexy... “give me a good ride,” and “Let me have a taste.” Yep, I’m with ya on all that... ahem...
Tumblr media
[Wow]
Tumblr media
[side note: I love the make up in the bathroom scene with that stroke of silver under his eye.]
“All my reflections, I can’t even recognize.” ...what he sees of himself is not reality. He doesn’t recognize himself. Don’t try to save me. I want to stay like this.
Tumblr media
To me, the mud on the floor, the mud flowing down the walls, the mud on the hand that grabs his wrist at the beginning of the song, the mud on his hand at the end... could represent his perceived imperfections, flawed, therefore dirty: his struggle to cope, his less than perfect thoughts... substance abuse... the struggle that he needs to be perfect on the outside or the attempt to appear perfect on the outside but there’s all this dirt on the inside that he can’t hide any longer.....the huge pile of mud at his feet is out of place in the otherwise normal room of his life. Becoming overwhelming for him.
Tumblr media
Some of the visuals of this song are, to put it bluntly, very, not heterosexual. Again, these are just my impressions and opinions. But a friend pointed out the photo on the front of his pants and I went looking for information about the art photographer, Robert Mapplethorpe. He was heavily involved in New York’s gay BDSM scene. Some of the things written about him:
“In a rapidly changing society, he fearlessly confronted taboos surrounding gender, sexuality and mortality, seeking to instill beauty and dignity into subjects that lay outside accepted social norms.”
“... a man who consistently brought his audience face to face with the unknown and the unseen.”
Tumblr media
The song ends with him reaching toward the camera to smear it with the mud to hide his imperfect self. When Jimin puts his face in front of the camera, he doesn’t want us to see his imperfections. He wants to be as perfect as he can, he says it all the time, he wants to look pretty for us, but I hope he has realized we accept him as a real human being even with his very human imperfections.
Tumblr media
Alone
The alarm clock goes off...yet another day...doesn’t trust the people even if they are nice to him...he’s lost...day in day out... passing out drunk and not remembering...what am I doing? am I the only one feeling like this? Alone, pretending to be ok...every day the same...how much more until I can go back to before? Feeling more and more isolated within his own mind, pretending to be ok but losing himself every day. Mayday. The cry for help. Telling himself it will be all right (we all told ourselves this back then). The small nagging voice that doesn’t believe it.
Realizing you’ve changed and you are never going back to the way you were before.
Not gonna lie, that line right there broke my heart. Gives new meaning to Set Me Free Pt. 2′s line: "raise your hands for the past me.”
He was in so much trouble and no one knew. He reassured us over and over that he was fine. Not to be over-dramatic but I don’t want to think about how close he was... I have seen a few people say this song really resonated with them. It is a very powerful cry for help.
Jimin’s vocals blew me away. The vocals start out very subdued, almost beaten down. His vocal fry squeezes my heart. He ends crying out “what do I have to do to end this darkness?” Bad twilight. Night’s can be hard.
Set Me Free Pt. 2
From my post on March 17, 2023:
Going insane to stay sane. Raise your hands for the past me. Now set me free. This is where I literally cried. Oh, Jimin.
Going crazy trying to fake being ok.
Now I know this song is about him saving himself, setting himself free from this prison he was in, the depression, breaking the chains of alcohol dependency, of telling the naysayers out there and his own internal naysayer to go fuck themselves, Park Jimin is back. Strong and beautiful and fierce. The light of the moon shining on us.
We know he still considers soju his joy. He sounds like he’s taken control, not totally abstaining, but in control. I only wish the rest of his days are happiness and stable mental health well-being.
Letter
So unexpected. I was in shock. My heart floated away.
People talk about how Jimin’s album has no collabs on it, unlike the previous member’s solo work. My opinion is, when you are sharing deeply intimate feelings and emotions and struggles about yourself you don’t want or need other people/voices on your song. It’s not appropriate.
The only exception to this was… Jungkook…not exactly a collab, but he’s there. The other songs used background vocalists who are not members of BTS.
This song was hidden. Yes, there have been other hidden songs. But come on...
Letter has a strong stroke of Promise in the “oh, oh.” And when Jungkook starts singing it is like the world is set right because those two voices blend like nothing else I’ve ever heard. And he comes in in the middle of the song gently supporting Jimin’s vocals. But unmistakably Jungkook. I know it’s up to interpretation, but for me, the lyrics from then on take on something a little extra in meaning with Jungkook there singing with Jimin.
You held your hand out to me and now I will hold on to you. So simple and beautiful. The sounds of the surf remind me of the song “Okinawa” that Jimin posted once. Which also reminds me of their pics at Santa Monica beach...
Letter seems to be an actual letter. When the members told him to write it down, put it in a song, maybe Jimin’s first impulse was to write it as if it was a letter. The lyrics are simple and very to the point and convey:
“...though I’m not good with words, I want to sincerely say let’s make each other happier. You who showed me I am bigger than my small self. You've been by my side and I will be by yours. I hope we stay together until the cold winter. Though the future is unknown and scary, let’s stay together. Never forget we’re together.”
There are references to past songs: Sea, Spring Day. Both of those songs were from 2017.
But Jungkook. On a Jimin song. That was hidden. Clever. That we had no idea about...even though Kookie knocked us over the head with it when he played the guitar for us, making sure we knew he’d only had one lesson. Who do you think gave him that first guitar lesson? Jimin... and Kookie blurting out some English in his last live... who do you think he’s been practicing English with? Duh, Jimin.
Tumblr media
It was a hidden song AND the credits were hidden on the page in the book. They were printed in varnish only, which is basically shiny, clear ink.
You know what I think? Jungkook knew about this song since Festa dinner. The teasing about not being offered the chance to listen to the song. That little shit. I KNOW IT WAS THIS SONG!! I JUST KNOW IT!! This was the rumored subunit. Or at least one of them. I guess we’ll eventually see if there are any more between the others.
They sound so beautiful together. I love them. And as I keep saying, they are fine… they’ve been fine.
Last words...
Anyway, that was a lot of words. Maybe I got too deep. Jimin explained himself about how the album originated.
As I was telling my friend earlier...everything in this album has peeled a layer, or several layers, away from EVERYTHING I've seen and heard from Jimin and the group since 2020. I had written some things in the past, like last June and even before that, about how Jimin seemed not well mentally. Things that I had no business saying in public because who the hell am I to think I can say something like that about someone I have never met? So I never posted those words. I never thought I would be so close to the mark in thinking those things. He’s been through it, wrote songs about it, and moved on. And I am so proud of him and this album.

“And cut!” the director’s voice pierce through the wet, chilly but somehow pleasant ocean air.
Seven months worth of hard work comes to an end today, just within a blink. How did seven months vanish in thin air, just like that?
It was just yesterday when you got Mr. Choi’s call out of the blue, asking you to assist him as an assistant director in one of his upcoming dramas. You heave a sigh of relief. Obviously, everything that’s good, comes to an end, regardless of your wishes. Now it’s time to pray. Praying for the final product to turn out just as you and Mr.Choi want, praying for the drama to be received well, praying for your career to finally take off after the success of this project, praying to meet Kim Taehyung again and again.
God! You are so impossibly in love! And you never planned on this. Certainly, a struggling, barely getting by, direction professional like you could not even afford to think of falling for someone as high profile as Kim Taehyung, who is also one of the most popular actors of the industry.
Yet, you did. You fell for him, that too, head over heels.
Taehyung is nothing like what you thought he would be. This being the first project with him, you got to see him upclose.
Usually high profile actors and actresses like him tend to be nosy, a little problematic and sometimes straight up rude.
But Taehyung is different.
Every time you suggested something, he listened to it, considered it, told you if he likes it or not and if he did, he acted upon your suggestions.
He would always go an extra mile and would bring snacks and coffees to the set.
He was hardly ever late.
He would place his own suggestions very gently whenever he didn’t like something instead of being super aggressive about it.
All in all, Kim Taehyung is certainly the most well-mannered and professional actor you have ever worked with.
He is also the most handsome human being you have ever witnessed.
His handsome features are certainly there but what makes him even more beautiful is the light that he emits. You have never seen anyone lit from within except for Taehyung. And as a result, you were falling hopelessly in love with him, even before you realized.
You feel new, you feel refreshed, you feel content, you feel foreign under your own skin, is this what being in true love is? Just loving the person from a distance and not dying for their reciprocation? Is this what overpowers desires and sends you to a different dimension where you could stare at the person for hours after hours without wanting them to spare you a glance? And everything else becomes a bonus?
You don’t realize that you have been staring at Taehyung for quite a few minutes while he hugs and greets staff congratulating a successful culmination of the shoot. But then you feel someone’s elbow on your upper arm, your trance breaks.
“Get ready by seven. We are hitting the club tonight” says Hyun Mi, one of the production staff slash your new friend, as she brushes sand off her jeans.
“Umm.. I am not going.” You reply, your eyes find the man again.
“What? Why?” She is visibly upset.
“I am tired. I need some sleep before the flight tomorrow. You guys have fun.” You reply, stealing a last glance at Taehyung. He catches your gaze on him and gives you a little smile accompanied with a small bow.
Your heart starts beating abnormally in your chest. You bow back before starting to pack your stuff neatly in your bag.

“It’s never tiring to watch the ocean, isn’t it?” the low, baritone voice that you have come to love so much, startles you out of nowhere. Your body shifts on its own accord in reaction to the voice and your coffee cup clanks against the balcony railing.
“Easy, easy. It’s just me. Taehyung. Did I scare you?” he chuckles at your flustered form.
Fuck. What is he doing here? You think.
“Oh yes. You did.” You reply, inhaling a sharp breath. “Didn’t expect you here. I thought you were having dinner with the production house staff?”
“I escaped.” he whispers, standing beside you a little too closely. Close enough for your arms to brush with his. Goosebumps spread all over your body, even though you are wearing a thick sweater.
“What about you though? I thought you were clubbing with others?” His breath hits your skin directly and you understand the intensity of the proximity.
“Nah. I would rather sit and stare at the sea alone.” you answer.
“Then you don’t mind me keeping you company. Do you?”
“Not at all. I appreciate it.”
You two fall into a comfortable silence. There is no rush, no urgency of saying anything… just you and Taehyung, watching the ocean making and breaking a new wave each second. The moment feels too intimate, something you would share with a lover.
Ironically enough, you are sharing it with the man you are in love with, also the man you can’t have. But it’s alright. You are at least sharing it with him. You don’t want anything more. You don’t even dare to wish for anything more.
“Umm… are you perhaps seeing someone? As in dating?” He is the one to break the silence with a question that you have never expected.
“No.” Your voice is small, unsettled and you don’t even know why.
“Then.. Do you mind having a coffee with me when we go back to Seoul? I am free for the rest of the month so any time you can manage will be okay with me.” Taehyung manages to say it all within one breath. If you are not wrong then, his voice suggests nervousness.
“Are you- are you asking me out?” Your own voice isn’t anything better. You, too, are very nervous. But your nervousness amplifies by tenfold when you turn your head to look at Taehyung.
Soft ocean breeze ruffles his hair, his caramel brown eyes are full of mystery, his tongue pokes out of his mouth and wets his lips, you are staring at the scene as if he is aurora borealis.
“Fuck. You’re beautiful.” Wait, did you just think loudly? But no. It's Taehyung’s voice. Wait, did he just call you beautiful?
Your face hits up within a second. Your lips get caged within your teeth but you can’t hide your smile. Taehyung just called you beautiful, fuck! He did. You smile as if you just won a contest.
“So, what’s your answer?” Taehyung’s voice rings right in your ear.
“I would love to have a coffee with you, Taehyung.” You somehow manage to voice out, despite the crazy beating of your heart.
“I think I will need your personal number then.” Taehyung chuckles as he scoots even closer to your body, placing his hand on top of yours.

"Let me get you some water."
Heaving a long sigh, you sat down at the edge of the bed, slumping over as your body finally began to release some of the tension you felt while running for your life. The mattress was so soft compared to the walls and floors you had crashed into, trying to escape from your cellmate. Somehow, you had managed to get out of the cell before he could get his filthy hands on you, but everything after that was a mere blur in your memory. You ran. And, apparently, you ran very far.
Far enough for the guards to take notice and come looking for you.
Glancing at the blonde man in the room with you, his uniform worn improperly compared to the other guards. With the first few buttons of his shirt popped and no jacket in his close proximity, he could have passed as a shabby lawyer or someone working in the background just as well. But with his name tag in view and how he had been the first to pick you up, you were almost sure he was one of the people keeping you inside this prison regardless of his looks. Leaning down, he ripped through plastic to retrieve a bottle of water from the stack for you. Strangely enough, his looks and actions made you feel relieved it was him who found you. Everyone else seemed so callous and uncaring for your circumstances. It was nice that someone a little more concerned was assisting you now, listening when you told him you couldn't go back to your cell and calming you down with few but meaningful words.
That had been all that you wanted all this time.
Being framed and apprehended had been bad enough. Your prison sentence and transferring here was already a nightmare you wished you didn't have to dream about. But then—as if you hadn't suffered enough—they placed you in a cell with a psycho who had 'murderer' written all over the mad expression on his face. That had been your final straw, and before you knew it, you were gone and lost in the endless corridors of the unfamiliar place you were forced to call your new home. If only there had been one person to listen to you, it might not have turned out like this.
But Albedo listened. Even when you were stammering and out of breath, barely holding on to your sanity, he waited for you to explain yourself coherently. He didn't push and didn't force you, easily convincing you that he might just be the nicest guard in this prison. Things were looking up again, his presence like the light of the sun in this endless darkness you were feeling.
"Why did you run?" he asked conversationally, and you forced yourself to stay on your best behavior and not just fall into the soft blanket and take a nap even though your exhaustion was begging you to. He was still a guard, and you didn't want to be rude and get on his wrong side now. You heard him crack open the water bottle, but he remained facing away from you for a few moments, so you at least didn't have to speak directly to him.
"My cellmate... he scared me."
"How so?" His question was so innocent. Much too innocent considering he had to know how this prison was.
"It's just... I... I never dealt with anyone like this before."
Humming in acknowledgment, Albedo finally turned around, an opened, sparkling water in his hand that he handed you. The bottle was cold to the touch, and you could already imagine the water running down your throat deliciously. Greedy to have a sip, you set the bottle to your lips and took a big swig. And another one, emptying half the bottle in two gulps. It felt exactly how you imagined it to be, and after all you've been through, it was heaven.
All the time, you could feel Albedo's eyes on you. It was natural he'd watch over you, considering your relationship as guard and prisoner. Yet, you tried to ignore the weird feeling of his gaze raking over your body, watching every gulp your throat made and the subtle licking of his lips as you wiped water from the corner of your mouth.
"Thank you," you mumbled after emptying the bottle, your body endlessly thankful for the drink. You hadn't thanked him at all yet for picking you up and taking care of you when you were at your lowest. Now that you finally got some help and rest, your body was heating up its gears again, and you were sure you'd be able to walk away on your own in a few minutes. In fact, the tension was subsiding, and you even managed to relax your breathing and heartbeat again after what had seemed like a run from death.
"My pleasure," Albedo returned, and you looked up at him, seeing a mysterious twinkle in his eyes. But you returned his smile in kind, until he walked in front of you and knelt down, the sudden closeness seeming strange. However, when he freed one hand from his glove, you felt an electric shock zapping through you as his hand wrapped around your calf, squeezing it once.
"You're still very sore," he noted, and you realized he was merely checking your body, suddenly making you feel really dumb for the heat tingling in your cheeks, your core clenching. "I should check you for bruises, just to be sure. Do you mind taking off your overalls for me?"
Albedo stood up again, removing the second glove while waiting for you to react. Your eyes were caught up on the rebound of the leather glove, a smacking sound ringing out and making your breath hitch. Somehow you felt strangely aware of everything he was doing, and even though you shook your head to get a clear mind, you couldn't snap out of it.
"I- I don't think that will be necessary..."
"As a... doctor and a guard, I ought to make sure you are okay after that mad sprint across the facility. You don't have an athletic background do you?"
"No..."
"So. Please remove the overalls and your pants."
"Pants, too?!"
"I need to check your legs for torn ligaments or the like."
The heat in the room seemed to increase with every dryly spoken instruction from him. To his credit, he didn't sound like some bad guy. He made it sound like the most normal thing in the world as he told you to undress. Even though your head felt on fire, the room spinning lightly, you hesitantly began to follow his instructions, slipping the overall off your shoulders and letting it fall to the floor before slipping your hands into the waistband of your pants.
A gut feeling stopped you from progressing. Something felt wrong, perhaps the place you two were in or the increasing heat all throughout you as your nails scraped against your skin. But your hesitation didn't seem to concern Albedo much as he tapped his fingers on his leg, waiting silently but impatient for you to continue. Alas, you didn't move anymore, which prompted him to finally react.
"Does your back hurt?"
He made a quick step forward, his hands falling to your shoulders, and the pressure increased as he guided you down. "Sit down. I'll help you."
Before you knew it, you faltered under his touch, falling back on the mattress. His hands replaced yours as he hooked his fingers around your waistband, pulling your pants down effortlessly. Shame from being exposed so suddenly made you tense. Still, Albedo, with his inquiring gaze dragging over your legs and up to your hips, wasted no time examining your calves with his hands again, a delicious pressure applying to your muscles mixing with the warmth of his palms.
"Relax," he muttered, his breath teasing your skin into goosebumps, your breath hitching and causing him to look up. "Are you feeling okay? You're looking a little... flushed."
His comments were enough to make you stop staring at his lips that were so close to your body. Close enough that you could imagine them leaving trails of kisses on you. The enticing pain of teeth digging into your thigh and the hot lick of his tongue.
"It's... It's fine," you stammered, unable to think straight. Where did these thoughts come from? You didn't even know this man, much less wanted him to... do things with you. Or did you?
"It's okay," he chuckled, and suddenly, that bad feeling in your gut changed into an alarming nuisance. But it was already too late. It couldn't reach your mind anymore, which already reveled in the feeling of his hands slowly driving up your legs. You didn't even notice him coercing you into giving him more and more access until he could kneel between them comfortably. All you took note of was how well he handled you, leaving tingles everywhere he touched. Albedo managed to tickle the space in your brain that was wanting more and more of this for your own pleasure, shutting every other disagreeing voice off.
"We--" he interrupted himself, and for a moment, he dug all his fingers deep into the flesh of your thigh. An uncalled-for sigh escaped you as the pressure increased and disappeared teasingly, ending in a shuddering breath as you tried to play it off. "I," he corrected, "waited a long time for this. Let the pill do its work. I made it just for you. Just so you could enjoy it, Darling."
"Do we--"
As if you knew it, the kiss he planted against your inner thigh felt like an invitation to heaven. Light and sensual, creating a strong need for more and a wetness in your panties that you hoped he wouldn't notice with how close he was to it. "Do we know each other?" you quickly finished your sentence, biting your lip as Albedo continued the path of his lips towards your core.
"No," he chuckled. "You don't know us."
"Then..." Interrupted by your own gasp as Albedo grabbed your legs and spread them further, you completely forgot your question, all of your body burning up and, at the same time, tingling with electricity. His nose left a cooling, soothing (and all the more pleasurable) trail as he dragged it over your body with a deep inhale, and you were pudding in his hands, no matter where he decided to slip them as long as it was on you.
"But we know you. Park Street, right across from our home. You like to dance through your kitchen in the morning, and I've always longed to be there with you."
Another kiss, with lips as eager as they were devoted. A shudder vibrated through your body, making your toes curl as you felt Albedo go at it, pecking you again and again, almost reaching the nook between your legs and hips. And when he did, you couldn't help throwing your head back, overcome with the pleasure of his body worshipping yours as you moaned loudly, your core clenching as if you were filled with a love that wasn't your own.
 "Albedo too, he..."
"W-Wait-!" You managed to snap out of it for a moment as that man spoke of himself as if he wasn't Albedo. "I thought... you are..."
Even though you felt as if the pleasure was blinding you, you didn't miss his lips curling into a wicked grin before he pressed them against your inner thigh again. The next thing you felt was a hand rising from beneath your thighs over your hips, arms curling around your legs until he had you in a secure hold, hard to wiggle out of.
Your eyes widened when you suddenly realized what was going on. Albedo's tongue lapped out as he pressed it to your panties, licking your folds through the fabric as you gasped, pushing at his head with your hands. But your body had very different intentions, fingers curling into his hair as he pressed his face further against your cunt, licking up the wetness you had made for him.
"We're both Albedo, and yet, who knows," he murmured, his voice vibrating from his throat against your cunt, your body reacting by clenching up, yet you could feel yourself getting even wetter. "But what I know is that we always wanted to do this," he continued to tease you with his breath, one finger hooking under your panties and pulling them aside.
With nothing holding him back now—not even your meager fingers in his hair—Albedo went about tasting you. His tongue lapped up your essence until he reached your aching clit, a body part that had never felt so neglected until you had this man between your legs. Letting his lips fall around it in a kiss before pressing forward, allowing his tongue to come out and play. And play it did. It played your clit as if it was meant to do nothing but pleasure you. Licks turned into flicks, into sucking, and into teeth nibbling on it.
Just when you were approaching the edge, toes curling, back arching, Albedo pulled away. But he couldn't resist you for long either, almost immediately plunging his attention and tongue inside you, the wiggling muscle exploring your entrance feverishly. Everything, your whole body, was like a ticking time bomb waiting for detonation. But Albedo held the trigger, unwilling to allow you to ascend to the heaven you've been imagining. Tiptoeing around the edge might have prolonged your orgasm, but it didn't make you feel any less needy and craving the sweet release.
Hunching over Albedo, you pressed your hips into his face, trying your best to grind into him from your position, but you had little luck with it. And yet, when he chuckled, noticing your efforts, it made it all worth it, the sound alone almost enough to make you cum.
"That's it," he mumbled against your folds, making one long lick upwards to your terrifically lonely clit. "Use me like you'd use one of your little toys from your bedside table. Make me the reason you moan and scream, and I'll give you what you want whenever you want. Now that you're here, nothing is stopping us from being together. You've made me so fucking thirsty for years, I want to drown in your juices, Baby."
And moaning and screaming you were. With every one of his words, you grew more desperate for this release he promised. You didn't need to try and guide him further, Albedo doing more than you ever expected a man to do for you, inhaling—or rather, eating you inside out and into a writhing mess without a coherent thought in your mind.
How you got here, what his words meant, these questions about his identity—all these things became meaningless when they weren't his tongue, breath, and teeth feasting on you. Your body was completely caving, and you didn't know if it was from exhaustion or the pills he had spoken about.
But it didn't matter.
It didn't matter because when he put your legs over his shoulders and dug in one last time with the ferocity of a starving animal, you felt your body tensing in preparation before you were hit with an orgasm that made you see stars. You were sent to glorious heaven for a few seconds, your body unable to respond. But when it did, you lost all your abilities to move your muscles, falling back on the mattress with a blissful croak.
Albedo had slowed his tongue to fit your sensitivity, licking at your cunt like a kitten at a bowl of nourishing milk. Humming and enjoying with relish as you gave him exactly what he wanted, almost believing you were the tastiest snack on earth considering how much joy it seemed to bring him. Occasionally, he'd hit a sensitive spot—your clit being no exception—making you flinch and moan. He'd chuckle, delighted by your sounds and limb body, that you wouldn't move away from him.
"That's right, Darling. Give in and let me please you. I will make you cum again and again--"
His words were interrupted by the sudden sound of a door opening, and you both jolted. However, all you could do was sway and fall backwards the second you tried to sit up, your body still hot and feverish. Instead, you bent to the side, trying to see who caught you in this position—a position you enjoyed thoroughly even though it would get you in a lot of trouble, you figured. But when your gaze focused on the person stepping inside, you were shocked by the familiar face staring back at you with surprise in its own features.
The same face that was between your legs.
"Ha, surprise," the Albedo between your legs said, and though he looked at the Albedo at the door, his words could have very well been for you.
"What did you do?!" Door-bedo hissed, a hint of anger crossing his expression, looking strangely out of place on the face you had only known as calm or mischievous so far.
"You wouldn't allow me to go to them, so I brought them to us."
"By bringing them to the prison?!"
"Wrong, they were sentenced to be here."
Returning his attention between your legs, Albedo left fluttering kisses along your folds. You moaned, the heat overpowering any shame or embarrassment. All that was left was the knot in your stomach. A knot that wanted more. Wanted something thick and long to fill you until you'd cum again miserably on a cock, your orgasms the only thing that could stop the burning heat inside you.
"Mhm, they're ready again," Albedo hummed, and you could feel the eyes of the Albedo at the door snap from the one between your legs to you, more heat erupting wherever his gaze landed. The things two of these guys could do... a thought that made you yearn and sweat at the same time.
"Don't tell me..." Albedo muttered, and the one between your legs chuckled. You had no idea what was happening, but you didn't care anymore. There was one Albedo who knew what he was doing and another one that looked like he could help you as well. Make the heat stop and give you more orgasms, the only things you desired at that moment.
"Please..." you whispered, looking up at the Albedo standing much too far away from you. Reaching a powerless hand to him, you gave him a pleading look that you hoped would convey your feelings. You had no idea what you had to do to draw him closer to him, make him touch you in places the other one hadn't reached for yet but were just as much in heat as your dripping cunt.
If pleading helped, you might even have considered getting on your own knees for him. Luckily, you didn't have to. Seeing your desperate way of reaching out, his features softened, eyes shining with guilt and desire as he stepped closer. His jacket and tie were discarded slowly, a striptease so beautifully from a man you believed could deliver you from the sins you've been accused with. You'd only have appreciated it more if not for the burning need inside you. When he finally grabbed your hand, a million butterflies of relief escaped you alongside a whiny moan, and you were all his when he planted the softest of kisses along your arm. However...
It wasn't enough.
"Please!" you pleaded, more incessantly now, cupping his face and drawing him close. His lips were in reach for a kiss, but much to your despair, he didn't move to kiss you where you needed it the most. Instead, Albedo opted to talk while the one between your legs chuckled as you clenched your thighs around his head impatiently.
"I'm so sorry he did that to you. I would have stopped him had I known... You must have suffered a lot. Framing you, drugging you... I'm so sorry, [Name]."
"Then help me," you whined, tears building in your eyes as he kept refusing to kiss you even though you could clearly see how much he wanted to. "Make it stop!"
"I will," he mumbled, eyes falling to your lips, then lower to where the other Albedo was already doing his part. "I'm going to make it right, okay? Relax and let us handle all of it. Let me take care of this mess, and I'll make it right this time, I promise."
"Finally you're giving in," the Albedo in your lap teased, and the other scowled at him.
"It's your fault! You made them like this!"
"Don't bother denying how hard you are, watching me eat them out. I can see your bulge from here. But if you want to put it in here..."
Bringing a finger to your cunt, you felt him slide it down to your entrance, every second of his touch so overstimulating, you couldn't help but moan, anticipating him to slip the finger inside. However, the Albedo between your legs merely teased around your entrance, and the other one gulped noticeably as you moaned into his chest like a needy slut.
"You better start begging them for forgiveness since you kept them waiting for so long, Albedo."
The cheeky bastard between your legs wasn't wrong, as you could feel the tears dripping down your cheeks, not knowing yourself like this but not caring in the least. "Oh, Darling," the Albedo, who still hadn't kissed you, whispered, and finally, after what felt like an eternity, he united your lips, allowing you to cling to him.
The one below let you free as the new Albedo pulled you into his lap, and you immediately began grinding your wet cunt against the bulge in his pants, whimpering into the kiss that neither of you could tear away from.
"Can I make you feel good? May I fuck you?" Albedo asked through your lips, and you nodded firmly while feeling the delirious twitch of his cock against your cunt. "I wanted this for so long," he groaned into your mouth, and impatient as you were, you went to undo the button and zipper on his pants yourself, fearing he'd never actually make his words a reality.
However, when he felt you fiddling with his underwear, Albedo gripped your hips, pressing them down against his. There it was, the perfect size to fill you, eagerly twitching beneath you, and with the bit of motion he allowed you, you let your cunt feel up every inch as if it was an appetizer. "Don't be mad later," Albedo mumbled just before letting out a groan, his self-restraint apparently still fighting against his desire to have you.
"I tried so hard to save you from us. Even if I wanted you so bad—all I could think about was you!—I never wanted this for you."
"But it's too late now!" the other Albedo perked up behind you, and you heard the rustling of clothes falling to the ground. "Now you're here..."
"And you are all ours."

wrote a little thing (emphasis on little) about dean trying to provoke cas and cas being, well, a little slow about it. check it out on ao3 or below the cut if you wanna, xo
Dean was bored. So. Very. Bored. He was convinced that if there was anything left to learn, they would have learnt it by now. Sam had already clocked himself out about an hour or so ago, which in his mind, served as a pretty good sign that they could be done for the night. They could just continue this tomorrow. Or later. Or simply at any other time but now. Because right now, Dean just wanted to drag Cas to their bedroom, and certainly not for sleeping purposes. It wasn't like he was touch starved, the two of them spent plenty of time passing up on some good night sleeps, trading them for early morning coffees and midday naps. But sometimes, Cas would get into one of those stubborn, help-the-world moods, where nothing else seemed to register. One could call it dedication, Dean, however, liked to think of it as the evil reverse viagra he had to defeat.
And of course, as Dean’s luck would have it, they had been stuck in a bit of a loop recently. Although he was pretty sure Sam could handle it on his own, if he wanted, or passed it on to someone else, he and Cas were insistent on helping. At the end of the day, Dean knew he would’ve made the same decision, but it didn’t mean he had to like it. He felt somewhat normal for the first time in, well, a while, and wanted to stay in their little bubble just a little longer. Sue him. But...duty calls.
Dean was sitting with his legs stretched, crossed at the ankles, staring at the ceiling, when he turned his head to take a peek at Cas. The angel was burning holes into some book, concentrating at such a level he almost looked like a statue - an immortalised bookworm. Cute. Hot, even. There was something about the way his face looked, how serious he was, how his brows were just a little furrowed, and how the line between them was starting to show itself. It certainly reminded me of Dean of something.
“Cas," no answer, "Cas!”
The angel lifted his head in Dean’s direction, keeping his eyes on the book for five seconds longer before eventually looking at him. Cas smiled, something small and sweet dancing at the corners of his mouth. It was making Dean even more antsy, just thinking about how different his smile could be if he were to just-
“Did you want something?” Cas interrupted before he could even finish his thought.
“Uh, yeah, yeah, I did. Um, are you gonna be, uh, done soon?”
"You can go to bed if you're tired, Dean, I don't mind staying here on my own," he said almost matter-of-factly.
If only that were the issue , Dean thought to himself. Admittedly, he could just tell Cas what he wants, it's not like the angel couldn't return to this later, after all, he's not the one who needs sleep. The issue, however, would be that Dean wouldn’t want him to leave. He never does. And although they haven’t ever discussed it, he has a feeling that Cas doesn’t like it either. Call it a hunch.
As much as Dean couldn’t focus on the research, he also knew, believed really, that he had enough brain power left in him to come up with a plan. Okay, maybe less plan, more technique of how to turn Cas away from reading and more to, well, him.
While the wheels were turning in his head, he must've been staring at Cas pretty intensely, as his blue eyes suddenly left the page again, locking with Dean's own. He could see the other glance down for just a second, where his thumb was resting on his lower lip, before speaking.
"Is everything okay?"
"Yeah, I'm wonderful," Dean quickly answered, smiling, purposefully dragging the thumb across his lip.
Cas stared at him for a second, wheels of his own probably spinning in that pretty head of his. Eventually, however, much to Dean's dislike, he turned back to the book.
The thing about Cas was that he could be a little...unaware sometimes. Especially when his mind was focused on something else. And what is there for Dean to do, if not have a little fun with it? He wasn't opposed to some light teasing, provoking, especially when he could watch Cas slowly get the point of what Dean was suggesting, watch the little light bulb go off behind his eyes.
Even with the anticipation buzzing all the way down to his fingertips, Dean wanted to make sure he would see this through. It was already past midnight, but he was sure coffee could only do some good, considering the plans he had. And besides, Cas could have some too. Not that he needed it, of course, but it had become something of a habit for the angel.
"I'm gonna go fetch some coffee, do you want some, sweetheart?" Dean let his voice go sweet, putting a certain weight behind the pet name. They weren't exactly big on those, but when the moment calls...
Cas stared at him again, head slightly titled. Dean couldn't quite tell if he was getting suspicious or just a little ticked off by all the interruptions.
"Sure, I'll take some if you're going."
Dean beamed at him, as he got up from his chair. Before going to the kitchen, however, he decided to see exactly what Cas was reading. And by 'see', he really meant lean down and pretend like he had a reason as to why he's gone over to Cas' side of the table before getting the coffee. Dean positioned himself on the left of the angel, resting the palm of his hand on the table, and putting the other hand on Cas' back, lightly drawing circles on the skin with his middle finger, right above where his shirt that Cas was wearing began.
"Which book is this?" Dean asked, slightly turning his head in Cas' direction, but not looking at him.
"The, um, it's about-"
"No," he chuckled, "I mean the number, how many have you read?"
"Oh," Cas smiled, "I think this must be my fifth if I'm remembering correctly."
"Ah, well, haven't you just been such a hard worker today?" he placed a quick kiss on Cas' temple, before finally making his way to the kitchen.
"Such hard work should be followed by a good reward," Dean whispered to himself.
When he returned with the two coffees, Cas was still in the same position. Figures. He shuffled towards him, placing both of the mugs closer to the middle of the table, so as not to disturb the books placed in a half circle around the angel.
"Hey," Dean muttered quietly, letting Cas know he was back, just in case he was too focused and didn't hear him come back.
"Hi, Dean, thank you," he smiled.
It was moments like these, where it was just the two of them, the world quiet and calm like a field covered in snow, no wind and no footsteps, that convinced Dean he would never not feel the way he does now. Even before the confessions and first kisses, there was something about the way Cas would smile at him. It always went hand in hand with a pinch between his ribs, somewhat painful and warm. He kind of expected it to change, now that he knew the other felt the same, now that he had stopped telling himself it would never happen, now that the two of them were different. And yet it hadn't, not really. It knocks something in him loose every time, and he'd be lying if he said he wasn't glad.
Cas put his book down, interrupting Dean's thoughts once again, presumably to take a sip of his coffee, and Dean simply couldn't pass up that chance. He leant down, gently placing his hands on either side of the angel's face, and kissed him. The immediate jolt at the base of his spine served as a great reminder of what he was after. Cas kissed him back with no hesitation, something lazy and content in the way his lips were moving against Dean's own. That alone was enough for him to rethink his ways, thoughts of just grabbing Cas by the hand and dragging him to their bedroom flooding his mind. But again, where was the fun in that? More than anything, he was craving to see that light bulb moment, when Cas' eyes turned a darker shade of blue, knowing that the buzz in their stomachs and fingers matched each others.
Dean decided to stay set in his ways, but that didn't mean his self-control was intact. He deepened the kiss, urgency colouring his own quiet sounds, tongue brushing against Cas' lower lip. He could feel one of the angel's hands, the one resting on his waist, softly grabbing at his shirt.
He ended the kiss with a sharp inhale, eyes closed for a second longer, til the ground beneath his feet felt solid again.
"Dean.." the rasp in Cas' voice almost made Dean lose his footing again. A beat of silence covered the room, letting Dean focus on the pulsating feeling in his cheeks.
"What was that for?" Cas looked serious but only in a confused, have-I-missed-something kind of way. It took Dean everything he had not to jump him again. Instead, he just flashed a quick grin at Cas and winked.
"Nothin', blue eyes, 's just because," he said, giving Cas one last peck on the lips.
He could feel Cas' eyes follow him, as he walked back to his side of the table, right across from Cas. When he looked up, he could see the slight twitch in the angel's eyebrow. For a celestial being, especially one that has seen a lot of what the world has to offer, he really couldn't be any more oblivious sometimes.
Dean sat back in his chair, the warm coffee cup in his hands matching the warmth in the pit of his stomach. Cas was back to reading again, though Dean could tell he was a little more fidgety than before. He smiled to himself, as he lifted the cup to his lips. He could pretend he was reading, but even that seemed like too much work. After all, he was more than happy to just watch Cas. With the angel already slightly on edge, it was only a matter of time before he was glancing up at Dean every few minutes.
"Dean...," Cas finally broke after about 30 minutes.
"What?" Dean answered, playing it up just a little bit to sound offended.
"Why are you staring?"
"Can I not look at my very handsome boyfriend?" he smiled. If there was a gun to his head, he'd have to admit he even fluttered his eyelashes a little.
The term 'boyfriend', similar to pet names, wasn't something that the pair used very often, but sometimes, well, there was just no way getting past it. Dean didn't necessarily mind the word, just needed some time to get used to it, he thought.
He could see the slight blush forming in Cas' cheeks. The angel lowered his head, about to return to his task, before looking back up at Dean through his eyebrows for a split second. A look nearly bordering on 'knock it off', but not quite.
The glances continued, almost like Cas was trying to catch him in the act, like something he did would give away whatever it was that he was thinking. Dean, of course, only saw that as an opportunity to continue his little show.
By this point he had already finished his coffee, the ring finger of his right hand sliding in circles around the rim of the cup. It wasn't exactly a conscious action, not until he saw Cas glance at his hand. After that, he made it a point to look Cas up and down the next time his eyes wandered back to Dean. The angel only squinted at him.
He had noticed Cas finish off his own coffee not too long ago, so after a few minutes of pretend daydreaming, he got up, hand under his shirt, the palm of his hand resting on his ribs. This time around it wasn't so unintentional, his shirt pulling up slightly, exposing the skin. If Cas could burn holes in him, he was sure he'd be all burnt up by now. But who was he to complain?
He slowly made his way to the kitchen for a second time, washing up the cups, and sorting out a few other things while he was there. It was nearing 4 am, and as entertaining as it had been, Dean was ready to actually get things going.
He walked back into the library with a purpose, heading straight to Cas. The angel didn't even have time to blink before Dean was already in front of him, arm stretched out as if he was asking him to dance. Cas put his hand in Dean's, suspicion in his eyes almost completely masked by the gentle amusement.
Dean barely waited for him to get on his feet before grabbing Cas by the waist with one hand and dragging him closer. Cas just smiled, head tilted to the left ever so slightly.  Good , Dean thought,  better access .
"I think you should be done now," Dean muttered before scattering light kisses on Cas' neck.
"Oh, should I?" the angel said, amusement now clear in his voice, Dean humming against his neck.
Dean lifted his head only to give Cas a look that in his head couldn't have looked anything short of hungry. That must've finally filled the missing gap in the angel's mind, as Cas' face finally mirrored the expression that Dean had been thinking about for hours now. The split second of surprise bled into understanding, and his eyes darkened. Maybe it wasn't so much a light bulb going off, as it was a light bulb exploding.
"Oh," Cas whispered.
"Oh," Dean echoed, teasing, whilst it was still his turn.
"I think you might be right," Cas said, as he stepped forward, hand resting on Dean's chest, softly pushing him back, "I've done enough work for today."
Dean let the angel guide him until he felt his back hit the pillar, the coldness of it seeping through his shirt, a nice distraction from the heat of his own body. Though that didn't last long, as Cas pressed against him, hands sneaking under his shirt, much like Dean himself had done earlier. Cas slid his hand up and down Dean's sides, his fingertips occasionally sinking into Dean's skin.
He launched forward, only to have Cas swiftly pull back like he was already expecting it. As soon as Dean let his head fall back, resting against the pillar, Cas leaned closer to him again, lips almost touching and whispered:
"I understand you've had your fun, but what about me?" voice sweet, smiling, moving further back and then closer again in waves.
"Cas..." Dean breathed just as quietly, his throat dry, "Cas, once we get to the bedroom you can have all the fun you want."
"Oh," Cas immediately pulled back, "well, if you say so, Dean."
As soon as the sentence left Cas' lips, Dean knew. He knew that Cas wouldn't let up until Dean was bordering on incoherent, and, oh, he just couldn't wait.

Chapter 21 / alternatively, read on wattpad
Chapter 22 (Word count: 4k)
About a month had passed since that very eventful evening. Harry was right, nothing could take away from the joy having told each other “I love you” had brought. Not even all the chaos that had led up to that point.
Looking back, you remembered none of the bad stuff. You’d been on cloud nine, ever since. Harry wouldn’t even discuss you going back to live in another city when you could work remotely just fine, and in truth you didn’t want to go live 2 hours away from him either. So, at his suggestion, you’d been practically living together ever since that day, more or less straight out of your already impromptu California bag. You didn’t even go back once to your place to get more of your stuff, but you hadn’t needed anything since you were working from home and barely put on any clothes to begin with.
The two of you were acting as though you were on your honeymoon. That’s what it felt like. You’d had a trial run on your trip together but this was something else entirely. Harry sometimes worked from home but mostly he had to go in office, and on site to various projects he was overlooking, and when he’d come back home you felt your heart swell. You’d never imagined you could enjoy this domestic angle to a relationship. But you loved waiting for him to come back home to you. You missed him as soon as he left out the door and couldn’t wait to see him come back to you. You were someone who normally valued alone time a lot, but with Harry you never felt smothered or like you needed time to yourself. You knew it was healthy to spend time apart but you weren’t yet ready to share him with the outside world. You felt it was unfair the two of you had to work when you had much more important stuff to do, like making love all day.
Harry of course was over the moon to have you all to himself. He loved throwing his briefcase on the dining room table when he got back from work, even when you were already on the couch next to it, and yelling “Honey, I’m home!”, the biggest, brightest grin on his face. To which you’d respond in various ways, his favourite seemingly the one where you hitched up the already skimpy piece of clothing you would lounge around the house in, spreading your thighs widely and revealing your naked core to him, and saying “Nuh-huh, daddy. Here’s your home, balls deep inside me”.
Harry went feral the first time you pulled that stunt on him.
You even spent Valentine’s tucked away from the world as well. Harry kept you in bed all day. He started by having his own “breakfast” in bed. Then he brought you your (actual) breakfast in bed, on a proper tray and everything, even adorned with a singular dwarf sunflower and insisted on spoon feeding you and also that you don’t cover your breasts while you eat so that he can lick trails of strawberry jam off your nipples.
Then, needles to say you were all sticky and you had to take a shower together so he could make sure you’re squeaky clean, but only after he fucked you silly and let you have your own sticky desert at the end. You then got back in bed and Harry rested his head in your lap (he still insisted you don’t cover your breasts with the bedsheet) reading poetry out loud to you from his favourite author, he’d underlined his copy all week in preparation. You just carded your fingers through his curls and looked at him dreamily, enjoying the slow cadence of his deep voice and that’s how you fell asleep in the afternoon, him mouthing at your breasts to his heart’s content.
He woke you up though, just as the february sun was setting early, he had more in store for you. He wanted to edge you while you read him back some of the poems he picked, you had to make sure you didn’t stutter, otherwise he’d stop. He didn't let you come for nearly an hour, lapping lazily at your pussy, his head resting in the crease of your thigh, fingers pumping slowly inside you. And after all that, he fucked you- hard, and you soaked the bedding.
He next ran a bath for both of you, even lit up candles all around the tub, used your special bath bombs and propped up a chair with a rom-com to watch on his laptop as you sat between his legs and he massaged shampoo into your scalp until you groaned in bliss.
He changed the bed linen and got dinner ready while you blow dried your hair. He made you your favorite, pasta carbonara from scratch and coupled it with your preferred wine but pouted at you for putting on clothes, although he’d also put on sweatpants, as you’d pointed out, so he let it slide.
Since you were (partially) dressed you asked for a late night car ride and Harry was pleased to indulge you. You held hands over the console while soppy valentine’s day music played over the radio, and you ended up nodding off, your temple against the window. He drove back home, gently took you back into bed and you didn’t wake up until he tried to wiggle you out of your jeans so that you’d be comfy. You were in his arms, ready to fall back asleep but there was just one thing missing, and he was more than willing when you asked to cockwarm him, but you ended up making slow, unhurried love instead.
Needless to say, it’d been a Valentine’s Day you wouldn’t be forgetting too soon.
All in all, living with Harry had been a smoother transition than you’d have ever imagined it to be. You still kept your lease on your flat for the time being, but Harry had been hinting at figuring out something in the near future, a clean slate for both of you.
Maybe another state, somewhere warmer since both of you seemed to enjoy it better, it was up to your hearts’ desire, really. He felt like there was no real reason to stick around, especially now that Emily was away for college in another state anyway and likely wouldn’t ever move back to her hometown afterwards.
Speaking of Emily, that was the only thing putting a damper on all of this.
Harry tried hiding it from you, but he wasn’t fooling anyone. You knew it was affecting him badly. He really hadn’t anticipated Emily to hold this big of a grudge over the whole thing- she wouldn’t talk to him at all. You tried not to pry, let him tell you what little he wanted to, but he didn’t want to talk about it at all. And you didn’t want to push him. You’d told him you were there for him if he ever wanted to talk about it but he always reassured you it’d be fine eventually and to not worry about it.
But you were worrying about it.
He was so sad sometimes that you could hardly do anything to get his mind off things. He had every right to be sad about it. You knew how special his bond with his daughter was, and of course you couldn’t help but feel responsible for all of it.
You, on the other hand, hadn’t spoken at all with your family either but for very different reasons. They hadn’t tried getting in touch either. All you knew about them anymore was coming from Niall, that over the top lawyer Harry had. The whole thing was a legal mess. Yes, Harry had paid a fine for public misdemeanour, luckily your father was alright so there was no solid ground for any further charges against him (he did deliver just that one punch, to be fair-- but luckily the fall your father took hadn’t been fatal or very serious even); but the whole thing with Derek and the drugs he’d planted on Emily was ongoing. These things are slow like that, at least that’s what Niall had said, and Harry was upset that this was hanging over his daughter’s head for as long as it had been, but you had no choice but to go through the albeit slow legal process of it all. Harry had turned in the evidence he had from the private detective he’d hired to keep an eye on Derek (and for good reason, as it turned out), so it was really just a matter of waiting it out, the outcome was surely in your favour but still it was upsetting that it was taking so long.
You hated seeing Harry so thorn over it. But there was nothing you could do except trust him that in time Emily would turn around… though you doubted it. You never told him as much, of course. You had much different issues with your own father, but still you tried putting yourself in her shoes and it wasn’t pretty, you could admit it. Had she not had to find out about it this way, maybe things would have been much different; as it was though, you could imagine the shock Emily must’ve had when it all came crashing down on her like that, and she’d already been quite shaken up about the whole thing with Derek, emotionally, but not to mention its legal ramifications also.
It was with her in mind that you snapped out of your reverie when you heard a loud noise from across the hall. You were home alone that day, working (or supposed to be working when you were not too busy daydreaming about Harry) and with a quick glance at the time on your work laptop you realized he was unusually early. It wasn’t that Harry had a clear schedule, a 9 to 5 job, but you could gauge how long he’d be away by now, and also, he’d usually text you on his way home asking for your preference on what you should have for dinner. He loved picking up fresh groceries and loved cooking with said groceries almost on a daily basis if he wasn’t too tired from work.
As you were processing all of this the noises got louder and you decided to go see what he was up to, a bit upset that he hadn’t stopped by the bedroom first to check in on you. Usually you would work from the dining room table but today you’d felt particularly lazy and work had been slow. Maybe it was because he disliked it when you were displaying this level of laziness. He’d never told you, but you could tell he couldn’t understand how you could work from bed when he had a perfectly fit office you could use, or the dining room table at the very least. When he worked from home, he always used the office and he would change out of his usual sweatpants he wore on lazy weekends. He didn’t suit up or anything (that would’ve been a touch too crazy, even for Harry’s workaholic ways) but he wore something he would wear on a casual day out maybe, he said it put him in a work mindset. You of course just thought he was mental. But you kept that to yourself, just like he did when it came to your working from bed sometimes. You did wonder whether he’d snap one of these days, the idea too much for his OCD, and maybe today was the day, seeing as he didn’t come to greet you and went straight for what sounded like the kitchen.
You trotted across the hallway and when you realized the kitchen was clear you were scared half to death when a young woman that you then recognized as Emily came out of her bedroom next to it.
“Fuck! You scared the living hell out of me!” you laughed out incredulously, clutching your oversized t-shirt to your chest over your rapidly beating heart.
Emily didn’t find it funny in the least though, considering the death stare she was casting upon you “You’re here.”
You cleared your throat, trying to compose yourself “Uhm, yes, I am. I wasn’t expecting anyone… sorry”
Emily scanned you head to toe in disdain “Clearly. Maybe you should’ve. This is my house. Well. It’s my dad’s, but I live here too”
You felt yourself blush. She was right, of course. You weren’t even wearing any underwear, but Harry’s old t-shirt was long enough to ensure your modesty “I only meant… Harry didn’t say you were coming over”
“He doesn’t know I’m here. I came for my stuff. Luckily for you, you won’t have to worry about unannounced visitors anymore, I’m clearing out my room”
“Emily…”
“Nope. Don’t wanna hear it. I didn’t see your car up front, otherwise I wouldn’t have come in. Don’t wanna see your face as much as I don’t want to see his”
“It’s… it’s in the shop. Harry insisted he’d have his mechanic look over it…” you cleared your throat, you were rambling “Listen, Emily, I know it’s not my place, but--”
“You’re right, it’s not, so shut it. I’m here now so I’ll just get this over with. Go ahead and go back to laying around half naked all day while my dad breaks his back at work for you or whatever it is you do all day”
“... Excuse me?”
Emily rolled her eyes “I don’t give a fuck. Just get out of my face. Better not find anything missing from my room, though.”
You stepped closer then “Emily, I get that you’re upset, I really do, but this is crossing a line”
“Ha!” she laughed incredulously, getting closer too “Crossing a line, am I? Look who’s talking! Little miss <<let me drive you home and seduce your dad while I'm at it>> herself”
You gasped “I… Wow. I did not-- Emily, whatever you think it is that happened you’re imagining it all wrong. I didn’t set out to seduce anyone! And no one seduced anyone, what do you think is going on here exactly?”
She shrugged “You’re just taking advantage of my dad being lonely. Saw his place, figured he was doing well for himself. I saw yours and know you aren’t, or at least your parents aren’t. Lord knows Derek has been complaining about them not affording stuff for him”
“What!?-- They just bought him a car, whereas I had to take a loan from my father for mine. And this doesn’t even concern you! And most of all- how dare you imply I’m after your father’s money!?”
She scoffed “Why else are you here then? Sure, dad is a sweetheart-- but he’s old!”
“He’s not old, he’s older, there’s a difference!” you furrowed your brows “He had you very young, and I’m not your age, Emily. I’m 26. He’s 42. Sure, there’s a significant age gap, but stop treating him like he’s a senior citizen and I’m underage. You’re blowing this way out of proportion!’
“Oh, am I? He could be a grandfather!”
Your eyes widened and immediately dropped to her midsection. You noticed how she fidgeted under your gaze but before you could open your mouth further you heard the front door and heard Harry’s amused voice before you saw him making his way to you “Are you watching those despicable housewives show again? They just won’t stop bickering, huh?”
The sweet grin on his face faded instantaneously as he froze in place the moment he laid eyes on the two of you. Nobody was saying anything so you cleared your throat “I’ll give you guys some privacy” and meant to walk away but Emily snapped
“No, stay. I want you to hear what I’ve got to tell him, too”
“Ems…”
“No, dad, you don’t get to sweet talk your way out of this. I came to get my stuff, only to bump into your half naked… plaything! Do you have any idea how mortifying this is? This is my home, too! You were so quick to replace me, weren’t you?! Hell, she’s about my age, why not let her be your new pretend daughter? Ugh. I’m gonna be sick. All of this is sick… You’re sick!”
“Emily.” Harry’s stern voice surprised even you, you could feel your blood freeze in your veins, but to your shock, she continued
“No, no. You are! I was just telling her how sick and perverted this whole thing is! You’re old! Why can’t you act your age? And, are you really that gullible? She’s clearly sticking around for as long as she can profit off of you. What is wrong with men?! I can’t believe you turned out to be just another sick bastard, like all of them! Not only that, but you’re apparently also violent?! What the hell is wrong with you!? My whole life has been a lie! You’re not the man I thought you were, not in the least!”
Your downcast eyes peeped a look at Harry and you could tell that under all that angry facade his heart was shattering. Emily was being brutal. And he had to sit there and take it with a brave face, be the father she was falsely accusing him not to be “You stop this right this instance! I won’t allow it! Like it or not, I’m still your father and you will not raise your voice at me, let alone judge me. You’re wrong, by the way, terribly so, but you’re too much of a child to see it. You’ve done some terrible mistakes, Emily, ones I’ve clearly warned you about, yet you have the nerve to cast judgement on what I’m doing?! Since when do you think that’s acceptable?”
“I--”
“Shut it. I don’t want to hear it! You’ve said enough. I’m terribly disappointed in you, Emily. I wanted to talk to you, explain all of this in a mature, adult conversation, since I thought you were grown enough to have one, but things that were out of my control escalated in such a manner that you had to see and hear things that you shouldn’t have- not like that, at least. And for that, I’m sorry. But I won’t apologise for my personal decisions, I don’t even have to explain them to you! My love life is none of your business! Whom I date is none of your business! I’m not bringing a woman home telling you this is your new stepmother, something you didn’t second guess as a child when your mother did it- but somehow I’m held responsible now that you’re all grown and away for college? I wanted to tell you because I love you and I want us to always be as close as we’ve ever been. I couldn’t tell you the way I wanted to, but I never imagined you’d end up saying such vile things about a person you don’t even know, at the end of the day!”
“Oh, but I do know her! I know her and her brother and that whole awful family of theirs! They’re nothing but scammers, dad. And you’re falling for it!--”
“I won’t have it, Emily, I’m not letting this go any further. You’re blinded by hatred. I can’t believe half the things you’ve said to me today! This is not the kind, gentle soul I’ve helped raise from as small as my own two palms!” he held his hands before him and you could see he was fighting off tears but was losing the battle
“And you’re not the father I thought you were! Stop trying to spin this on its head and make me the bad guy! You’ve kept things from me, I don’t even recognize you any more!”
“That’s not true! Nothing changed, if you would just stop whining like a brat and start acting your age I would try talking to you about it! But you’ve hurt me, Emily! This is the woman I love you’re spitting venom at!”
“Love!? Please! Are you kidding me right now? And what about me, your own daughter! You’re really picking her over me!?” her voice was wavering now as well, and you could see tears well up in her own eyes too
“There’s never been a matter of choice, Ems. You’re my kid, I’ll love you no matter what, always, even now when you’re being so awful! But that doesn’t mean you get to say and do whatever you want! Why are you being like this? Do you not want to see me happy?”
Emily groaned in frustration, wiping her tears away “I can’t believe you right now! You are! You are choosing her over me!”
“Petal--”
“No! No, no, no!” she shrieked, covering her ears “I don’t wanna hear it! This is sickening! She could be your daughter, what the hell is wrong with you!? Stop it, stop! It’s either her or me! Understand?”
“No, it’s not, Emily” his voice was back to being stern, she was losing her grasp on reality and Harry needed to be a grounding presence so that she could snap out of her histeria “You stop it! You’re acting like a child!”
“I don’t care!” she shouted, stomping past you and into his face “If you have any semblance of decency in you you’ll end this! You hear me? It’s either her or me! I mean it! I can’t be around you when you’re going to act like a sick twisted old man with a Lolita kink! That’s not my father! I won’t accept it!”
You covered your face at her words, it was unbearable. They must’ve just stared eachother down for a beat because next thing you knew you heard the front door again and Emily was gone.
You watched Harry stare at his feet, his hands on his hips, chewing nervously on his lower lip and you finally whispered “Oh my God…”
His eyes snapped back up at you, almost as though he’d momentarily forgotten you were in the room and the more he looked into your eyes  the more you could see his own shine, tears threatening to spill and you quickly made your way towards him, pulling him into a tight hug. He hugged you back just as tight and then you felt him shake violently in your arms, quiet sobs he was trying to muffle rattling through his whole body
“Oh, baby…” you cradled the back of his head in the crook of your neck and tried soothing him, but he was beyond his breaking point. You realized you couldn’t hold him upright anymore and you both kneeled to the floor where you felt you could handle holding his upper body in your arms. He was leaning his entire weight on you, and he was much heavier than you’d ever realized until then. He was truly heartbroken, you’d never seen him like this “Shhhh… it’s ok, it’s gonna be ok…”
He shook his head, and you felt just how wet he’d gotten your t-shirt on that side “She’s never gonna get over it”
“She will. She’ll come around…”
“No, she won’t” he gasped for air and you cradled his face in your hands. His eyes were bloodshot, he looked a mess. You’d never seen him this shattered. You’d never seen anyone like this. It broke your heart in ways you never knew were even possible “I know her. She’s not gonna let this go. She’ll never understand”
You gulped, searching his eyes. He was utterly heartbroken.
And it was all your fault.
“Please stop crying, baby. I can’t see you like this” you let out a sob you didn’t know you were holding in “I can’t. It’s breaking my heart. Please, I can’t see you hurt like this”
Harry pulled you into his arms then but you could tell he was still crying.
