Correct me if I'm wrong, but you currently being the same age as Nanook and beginning the story when you were 17, would also mean that you were OLDER than Tomkin was when the men left for war? Or am I misremembering Tomkin's age

Imagine something happening to Lin coming home from school and its to her to a point that she doesn't talk and goes in a state where she isolates herself. Everyone tries to get her to talk but she refuses. Soon enough they encourage Lin to see a therapist and she agrees but it doesn't help.
Hi Anon, thank you for the ask! I’m imagining, and I’m SAD.
Lmao I’m just joking but this is an interesting scenario! There’s this mysterious aspect of not knowing what exactly is keeping Lin quiet, and then there’s the helplessness part of not knowing how to help. And then if professional help doesn’t work? The Gaang would be so distraught.
Even as a kid or teen, Lin seems like a tough person to me, so I can only imagine what was so upsetting to her and got her to not speak anymore.
I would imagine Toph would hate it. I mean, her baby girl won't talk to her anymore, she's heartbroken and wants to help, but how... she doesn't know.
The Gaang wish they can provide comfort too, but, what can they do? Toph knows Lin better than anyone, and she can't figure out what's upsetting Lin.
And depending on how long Lin isolates herself... I can anticipate on things becoming much sadder and gloomier than the Gaang ever imagined.
Okay. Sad thoughts done. LOL. Thank you again for the ask, Anon! Feel free to ask more questions, and I hope you have a great day!
