She's cut off all her hair many times: and will do it again at any minor inconvenience. Bloodbug in her hair? Not worth saving that strand. It grows faster than she knows what to do with anyways.

Once it gets too uneven she'll begrudging let someone cut it: never a stranger though. The only people she lets cut her hair are Sole, and eventually Piper. Before that she'd just even it out herself and ignore the back.

Favorite color is burnt orange. Favorite food is sugar bombs.

She's allergic to calling people by their actual name. She has a nickname for everyone (ok that one's mostly canon), but hates being called nicknames herself.

When she wakes up in the middle of the night she usually reads "trashy" romance novels. Cait likes scavving in old bookshops in case any of the paperbacks survived, but she tears the covers off so no one can tell what she's got at a glance.

She and Hancock once tried challenging Strong to a drinking contest. It went as expected.

Not really a big animal person, but Dogmeat adores her. She complains that he's gross, but never actually pushes him away.

It takes her a long time to warm up to Preston and Piper especially: they're so....well-meaning that it reads suspiciously to her. She gets used to it eventually, but still rolls her eyes at Minutemen proceedings on principle.

In the same vein, she gets along as easily as she can with Mac and Deacon: Mac because he's Functionally Every Tired Merc ever and that's familiar, and Deacon because he does have an angle, but that angle has nothing to do with her.

She teases sniper!sole endlessly for hanging back, but it sends a thrill up her spine every time an enemy just drops at her feet.

If she's complaining: she's mostly fine. It's when she's totally quiet that there's an actual issue. Goes triple for injuries.

you've said before that you struggled with stress ulcers in 2020, iirc? have you found a way to manage them effectively besides just, you know, not being stressed? i've had them constantly for a few months now and it's incredibly painful but the stress is due to circumstances outside my control. thank you for your time <3

I went on anti anxiety medication, that helped. Beyond that, I don't have much advice in terms of diy stress reduction. I am not a very anxious or stressed person by nature so it really hit me hard (also due to factors outside my control) and if I hadn't begun taking meds for it idk what I would have done.

Hey can we talk about how megatron has a fusion canon in most continuities? Okay so, question, What exactly is it fusing?? Is it nuclear fusion??? HAS HE BEEN IRRADIATING EVERYONE???? Pretty sure cybertronians aren’t affected by radiation, at least not by small amounts like humans, so is he even aware of what he’s doing or is it considered not a big deal??

This question goes DOUBLE for earthspark megatron considering he spends lots of time around humans and actually, Y’know, cares about them. Like I’m aware that no matter what the answer is space crack tfp Megatron wouldn’t give a shit but this one is actually trying to be a good person soooo.

I’m a little concerned for dot and the kids 😭 I mean would he even know he’s potentially harming them? If cybertronians aren’t harmed by radiation then they probably don’t think about it at all and haven’t even considered it might affecting the humans. Seriously has ANYONE considered he might be toting around an unshielded nuclear reactor on his ARM this entire time??

Aw man, just reread my document I wrote on my speculation on how the metagene works & how modern DC could rewrite it to being a result of retroviruses & transposons and man, I really wish I finished that post.

Unfortunately, the reason I stopped was explaining it all down to the point where someone with little genetic knowledge could still understand it proved to be too lengthy and long winded of a task.

Maybe one day I’ll pour myself back into research & finish that speculative paper. Bc I had a whole fun idea that relied on that background information that was about the Daily Planet reporting on the discovery of an entire city of metas with similar meta abilities. The town faced such high levels of radiation and contamination, only the population with the meta gene survived:(

#The meta ability was just super perfect cell replication. #No changes outward. They appear perfectly normal #to be clear. ppl still age. the power is just that their cells are super good at replicating the way they’re meant to #Zero chance of tumors or damaged DNA due to the radiation because their meta ability just resumes them to their previous state. #the city blows up afterward in the news cycle due to people trying to go there so they don’t die from cancer. #and don’t have a risk of cancer BUT THE CITY IS STILL IRRADIATED AS HELL AND THE PPL THAT ENTER CANNOT LEAVE #DUE TO THEM BECOMING SO RADIOACTIVE THEYRE A HAZARD TO BE CLOSE TO WITHOUT PPE #i just thought it was such a fun idea and me being me I overthink the shit outta things & made it super long and overcomplicated #because I wanted people to also learn what retroviruses & transposons were bc they’re cool as hell #and by the time I wrote 5K words on it #I didn’t want to take the shortcut and just embed other ppl’s videos explaining it bc I had already put too much effort into it #for me to delete that research #bones speaks #the cause? the city was built ontop a large kryptonite meteor. #and someone (cough cough LexCorp. but no one actually has enough legal proof to say it’s them) #and when it’s investigated. it appears that someone (cough cough LexCorp. there’s not any legal proof that can pin it on them. #so lexcorp once again escapes scott free without evidence of villany) #has been digging tunnels under the city and excavating it. the excavation not following proper mining protocols caused the city’s ground #and water supply to become extremely irradiated to the point where it’s like when ppl were just eating & drinking uranium products. #actually imma stop myself here & make this it’s own post #anyways. the radioactive bit gets figured out due to the poorly constructed tunnels collapsing and the city conducting an investigation #leading to a ‘oh shit. the Geiger counter is saying this sinkhole is Super radioactive.’ #to ‘HOLY SHIT THATS THE ENTIRE TOWN’ #to ‘wait fuck how are we still alive? to ‘a weirdly high percentage of folks in the town had metagenes so not a super significant amount #of ppl has died from abnormal lookin cancer.’ to ‘oh my god everyone that doesn’t have the meta gene here is slowly dying get them Out Now’ #bones writes in the tags #anyways. that’s kinda the story #I’ll rewrite the tags into a proper post and see if I can revise it so my paper isn’t needed to make some plot points work #bc it’s a Far simpler explanation than the one I wrote in the doc so I’ll base it off of this version instead

#anyways entirely unrelated but i’m having. thoughts #specifically about #chik’ht / “creature” #ig this could be about cinis sacare too because i forget how fucked up his anatomy is now without thinking of it consciously but #the thri-kreen rogue/artificer? the really really silly one who i love and adore? #i keep forgetting that although it’s so so so sweet and values the party’s opinion that #it’s. primarily chaotic neutral. it’s a scavenger at heart and would not hesitate to kill a man if needed #although through subversive means because that’s inevitably more efficient #and i keep forgetting this and i need to lean into it more often because it’s so good #that isn’t to say that creature isn’t sweet or doesn’t care about the party though #it’s my beloved and one of the most fun characters i’ve played in d&d in a HOT minute #but i love love love remembering how complex i can be and that i don’t have to just be “hee hee silly bug” all the time #and that it can and will use its various guns and reverse shotgun of a rapier to rip and tear if it deems it to be better in the long run #and that it’s highly irradiated and also quite literally the smartest character in the party even if it doesn’t take the lead all the time #i just love creature it’s so fun to think about <3 #frost talks
