Hello beloved mutual i come here today to suggest that you do listen to TMA cause GOD. Its so so good. If you’re a fan of eldritch horror or tragedy or gay people then you’ll love this. The characters are all so good and well rounded, and you really feel for them when theyre going through all their coffin exploitations, worm infestations, and apocolypse causing. The writing is actually phenomenal and its just- AGGH really good. I very much recomend it.
this is propaganda and i will not stand for it /j
,,, that being said u do sell it pretty well and i Am such a fan of gay ppl

You know, I love the new Interview with the Vanpire show, but I'm very puzzled about why people keep referring to the Pitt-Cruise film as if it was some kind of flaming garbage can disaster. I remember that movie being extremely popular when it came out. People went nuts for it. They loved the taboo of it, and it was taboo in so many ways despite not being as explicit as the reboot. The performances were gorgeous. There was a bit of tinkering with Louis' backstory, and his brother was deleted from the story due to time constraints, but the movie clearly reflects the homoerotic tension between Louis and Lestat, even if the time period in which the movie was made meant that they could not openly state the nature of their relationship.
So what's the big problem? Racism? It was in the original source material. Yes, bad, but hardly an original invention of the film. Using two extremely popular Hollywood actors to fill the main roles? Anne Rice had her doubts about Cruise, but she was reportedly won over by his performance, which contains all of the evil glee of the original character.
I loved the movie. It had all of the Gothic torment of Rice's original dark and sensuous adventure.
I also love the new show.
Do we really have to pick a favourite and bash the other one? Why can't we enjoy both?

literally the worst part of interview with the vampire show is the brown eye massacre so many bewutiful brown eyed men have to look like the 2 pretty best friends guy and i cant stand it also just annoys me because obv with contacts you always have that pinhole pupil look when real life eyes very much dont work like that . and theyre vanpires so theyre always in the dark its annoying
Nooo 😭 sometimes like when people have colored contacts it's just so uncanny for me i can't watch whatever media it is... like im ngl this is why i never interact with witcher the tv show fans because his contacts just scare me so bad and i don't think he's attractive because the contacts are so grotesque

As someone who is currently reading Interview With The Vanpire, the parallels between Abigail Hobbs and Claudia are *chef’s kiss* perfection
And the way that Lestat and Louis both parallel Hannibal and Will by being bloodthirsty but annoying about it in opposite ways
I haven't read it, and I haven't watched it in a really long time. but I have seen comparisons between that and Hannibal.
but literally though, Claudia was trapped in a girl's body. changed against her will. Abigail was allowed to grow older (technically) but she was stuck as "daddy's little girl" and never allowed to grow up and go to college and be her own person. and both Claudia and Abigail were just being used by the people who claimed to love her. and they both died horribly and tragically, never allowed to do something for themselves or something that made them happy.
and yes, both sets of men are so obnoxious and toxic and perfect for each other.

Immortality
Since I was a kid I always have read books, watched movies and tuned into vampire shows. I wanted to name our son Barnabas Collins. All you born after 1980 might need to reference that. The glamour, gore and romance of it all. Interview with a Vanpire, Lestat. Then came Twilight and yes I was obsessed. Team Edward on most days but man I do love me some Jasper. There is just something so magical…

theres a bit on yuli's page on the fandom wiki thats worded like, "in his poppers lounge interview, when asked if he is a born vanpire, he replies with 'sounds about right'. it is unknown what he means by this" my brother in christ what else would he mean by that aside from yes.......
god that reminds me of like. The entirety of Bulbapedia (the origin sections)
