We are happy and proud to announce that a large consultation with LGBTQI+ organisations worldwide has identified the theme for the 2022 edition of the International Day against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia:

“Our Bodies, Our Lives, Our Rights”

A great theme under which many forms of advocacy are possible: claiming our rights to live our sexualities and to express our gender(s) freely, but also demanding to be from physical violence, from conversion so-called “therapies” to forced sterilisation of Trans and Intersex people.

A theme that reminds us that many of us across the world live LGBTQI-phobias in their very flesh every day and that our bodies are being abused, ruining our lives. 

Our bodies are our lives. And we have a right to live free and in dignity!

Why LGBTQ+ Pride/Awareness Is Important AF

What is it with the trend of anti gay people and bitching and moaning about a straight pride? I'm sorry but pride in this context means "the joy of overcoming a great tragedy.” As far as I know, straight people didn’t overcome anything close to the LGBTQ+ community did in regards to sexuality. For the rest of you who don't know, pride started out as a riot against the LGBTQ+ community being kicked out, not having basic human rights, being treated as criminals, being beaten, and even being put in jail for just being LGBTQ+. As soon as we got loud about it, we got somethings but we still can't even donate blood if we gay.  So if you want to be an actual LGBTQ+ ally, don't whine for something you didn't overcome and earn, instead celebrate the ppl around you being proud of who they are and not being ashamed to hide it in fear of being shunned out of households into the streets where 50% of the youth who are homeless were kicked out of their homes for being gay. Support the community, bitches LGBTQ+ community literally can't have anything. We still have ppl in this world who are in positions of power who said that they would drown and murder their kids if they were gay, PEOPLE WHO MAKE LAWS IN AMERICA SAID THAT. IF WE WANT PRIDE WE CAN HAVE IT AND DON'T PULL THE "OH BUT I DIDN'T DO IT, SO I SHOULD GET A STRAIGHT PRIDE." NO, HUNTY. THAT'S NOT HOW IT WORKS. You can be proud of being straight 365 days of the year. If you straight and proud, fuck yeah, dude. Own it. But as soon as you want to take something away from another community, something you didn't earn... then just leave. I'm about to go insane if I see another person bitch about needing a straight pride month. If you want a pride, go support the LGBTQ+ pride. Be an ally and instead of being selfish and saying "hey, I know these horrible things happen to you all day and this is your day to rise against it, but I'm going to take that away from you." Celebrate WITH them and support them. Support your LGBTQ+ community "I didn't do that to you so don't blame me for what people did in the past" Except it isn't the past, it's still happening. Everybody wants to act like homophobia is behind us in history, but we still can't even donate blood and guess what people still get beaten, kicked out, disowned, sent to conversion camps, and even abused for being gay. Everybody wants to act like they're not homophobic until we get happy about being alive and then they want to take what we have.
