Remembering Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru and wishing all Happy Children's day 2022
PGPS school celebrated children’s day to mark the birth anniversary of our prime minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. He was immensely popular among children and was also called Chacha Nehru. This year our country is celebrating its 133th birth anniversary.
I honestly cannot remember if I have posted this here already or not but the light was catching it really well so if I have, have another.
This was done by my neighbor in the house I grew up in. Her family gave away the art she had done before they took her back to Japan, and one of my family members got this for me as a gift.
It’s so beautiful, and apparently it was also one of the few paintings she had like this. Most were based on her experience in living in Hiroshima after the bomb dropped. In that context, it’s always felt even more precious.

“These children’s shoes are adorable, but they also carry a secret message to a married couple. In Chinese, the phrase for children’s shoes sounds like the word harmony, which extend to a four-word phrase, tong xie dao lao 同偕到老, which means, May you grow old together in harmony.”
