I feel like I might be the only Inigo fan here... Anyway, got any Inigo/Laslow to repost?

(Have a little Inigo family fluff ;3)

“Robin~”

Your husband was singing your name, the gentle amusement in his tone informing you that it wasn’t anything important.

This in turn let you continue to focus on your paperwork, seeing as a tactician’s work is never done (even during peaceful times).

“Robin, my love.” You heard him call again, and you glanced back at him. He winked at you when your eyes met, looking entertained despite sitting in a chair, polishing his sword.

“What are you bothering me for?”

“Ouch. Always the cold tongue with you, isn’t it?” Inigo mused, but stood all the same, setting his sword aside to join you at your desk.

His hand came to rest beside yours, which hadn’t stopped scrawling notes and evaluations across the parchment. Inigo leaned over the hardwood, arm touching yours.

“What are you up to, anyways?”

“Important documents for Chrom. Uh, evaluations, reports, and a few inventory notes, too...maybe something about-”

“All I hear coming out of your mouth is ‘boring, horrible, awful paperwork’.” Inigo interrupted you, his hands slipping from the desk to your shoulders, fingers suddenly working magic on the tense muscles.

You hummed in delight at his touch, enjoying the relaxing massage.

“Why not slip away and take a break for a little while, hm?” Inigo offered, whispering the words close to your ear.

Gods, but he could be charming when he wanted. You shivered at the feel of his warm breath against you.

“Not so fast, dear. I’ve got deadlines. If I don’t get this done then we’ll both be in trouble. I doubt the Exalt would be pleased to learn I'm slacking on the job.”

“I’ll happily take the blame for it, so long as it gets you away from this bloody desk.” Inigo insisted, wrapping his arms around you. “Come on, love. Morgan’s taking a nap, which means we’re all alone. Surely you don’t want this precious time to go to waste.”

“I don’t, but…” You trailed off, letting him work his fingers into your shoulders once again. “I have to get this done. As much as I’d love to relax with you, now’s not the time.”

Inigo huffed, pulling away from you and making you whine in displeasure.

He crossed his arms and sat on the desk next to you, earning a glare from you that was matched with his determination.

“That’s the problem, Robin. You never have the time. It’s always work, work, work. And here you are, still stuck at your desk and you barely give your own husband a second glance! Let alone poor little Morgan, who misses you so much. Surely you wouldn’t want to ignore your family in favor of a few deadlines.”

“That’s not true, I was playing with Morgan all afternoon, yesterday!”

Inigo crouched next to you and rested his chin on his fingers, looking at you with those ridiculous puppy eyes.

“I miss you, Robin.”

“...Just let me finish my work, I’ll go as quick as I can. Then we can do whatever you want, okay?”

“Usually when you say ‘quick as I can’, you’re not done until late.” Inigo pouted, and you huffed, turning away from your work to look up at him again.

“I’m sorry, Inigo, really I am. But this has to be done. I can’t always have fun, you know that.”

“Perhaps, but that won’t stop me from trying!” Inigo declared, pecking your forehead, “I will have my way with you, whether you want to relax or not!”

“Inigo, wait a minute-”

“Hold fast, my love! I shall free you from the bonds of paperwork soon!”

“You sound like Owain.” You mumbled to yourself, happy for at least a single moment’s peace.

What he was up to, you weren’t sure.

Perhaps that's what worried you...

A few hours passed after that, and you weren’t sure whether that was a good thing or not. Being married to someone like Inigo, there were surprises around every corner.

Though you managed to finish up most of the paperwork, there was still that nagging thought in the back of your mind that something was going to happen.

‘Strange...it’s not like Inigo to leave me alone for so long.’ You thought to yourself, glancing away from your paperwork to look down the hall.

Everything was quiet...the ever-cliched too quiet.

You began to push the chair back from the desk to investigate, but you were stopped by a very loud, “Hold, milady!!”

You paused to see Inigo suddenly emerge from Morgan’s room, said boy holding his hand as they both strode down the hall.

“Don’t go anywhere, Mommy!”

He cried, running to keep up with Inigo’s confident steps. You couldn’t help but smile seeing your little boy so excited, watching him bounce up to you and grab your pants leg.

“What is it, Morgan?” You ask sweetly, catching his hands in yours. He giggles, hopping up and down, waiting for his father to catch up to him.

“We have a surprise for you! Me an’ Daddy worked super hard on it!”

“A surprise?” You glanced up at your husband, quirking an eyebrow.

He winked at you, silently taking your son from your hands and guiding him to stand with him in the open space of your office.

“Since you refused to come be with your family,” He began, turning to face the wall away from you. Morgan did the same, adding to your confusion, “We decided to bring the family to you!"

With that Inigo twirled around, striking a graceful pose. Morgan whirled around as well, though his pose was much less refined.

You chuckled at the pair of them, watching as Inigo began his dance. You were the only person he was comfortable with dancing in front of, at least when giving a private, improvised performance.

“Morgan, did you learn a dance with your daddy?” You giggled at the two, watching Morgan prepare to dance as well.

“I did! Daddy spent all day teachin’ me a dance for you!”

“Did he, now?” You look up at your husband, who shrugs and waves his hand as if it were no big deal.

“It is the least I could do for you, my lady.” He muses, flashing that bright grin. “Besides, I couldn’t think of a better way to ensnare your attention. Now, you must be subjected to the greatest -and cutest-, dance performance of all time! Ready, Morgan?”

“Ready, Daddy!”

“And five, six, seven, eight-”

Inigo counted the steps throughout the entire 30 seconds of the routine, making sure Morgan danced along with him.

Save for wobbly dismounts, Morgan was rather talented when twirling and performing “complicated” maneuvers. You’d never seen such a graceful four-year-old.

Inigo watched you the whole time, maintaining eye contact for the last parts of the dance.

He took your hand and lifted you from the chair, turning the solo into a duet for the pair of you to enjoy.

He spun you about the room, Morgan spinning with himself and laughing the entire time.

It was contagious; You broke into a fit of giggles when the dance ended, Inigo finishing the routine with a light dip, his hand supporting your back as he lowered you close to the ground.

“Aaaaand, finite.” His face was very, very close to yours, leaning into you while pressing you close to him.

Your hands slipped from his shoulder to his chest, face lit up in a bright shade of pink.

“Finite!!” Morgan repeated with a cheer, scrambling up to his parents and launching himself onto Inigo’s back. “We danced so good, Daddy!”

“Er, Morgan, don’t hop on me like that, I’m afraid I might--!”

CRASH

“...Fall.”

You found yourself planted underneath your heavy husband, your son giggling madly on top of his father.

Inigo pushed himself up, rubbing the mark on his forehead where he smacked his skull against the stone.

“Well, save for the final moves, I’d say that was a performance for the ages.” You chuckled, looking up at Inigo, who had you caged under his arms.

“You could have plenty more performances like it, if you’ll spend a little more time with us.”

“Is that an offer?”

“Mm, more like a requirement.” He murmured, forgetting the child sitting atop his back and planting a fresh one right on your lips.

You squeaked in surprise, but melted into it all the same, fingers running through his precariously styled hair with a satisfied hum.

“Eww! Mommy, that’s gross! Get offa her, Daddy!” Morgan exclaimed, beating his hands on top of his father’s head.

Inigo pulled away with a slight groan, flipping over on his back and snatching the little boy off with a squeal from said child.

“That’s gross, is it? Then how about this?” He blew a raspberry on Morgan’s cheek, making the child laugh and scream at the same time.

You couldn’t help the laughter bubbling up from your lips, watching your boys have fun.

“Daddy nooo! Stop it!!”

“Not until you say it wasn’t gross!”

“I-it wasn’t gross! It wasn’t grooooss!!”

You spent the rest of the evening with your son and husband, watching them mess around with each other and earning the occasional innuendo from your hopeless romantic.

Though you did have to explain to Frederick why you didn’t finish all your paperwork, the last document being the literal most important out of all the work you’d done that day.

Inigo was, at the very least, quite apologetic between you and the captain...though he didn't regret the sweet memory you made.

I’d say Robin/Lucina, but this does technically expand to basically every gen one/gen two pairing in Fire Emblem as a whole. I can’t get into it, especially when I personally view the gen two characters as children. It just doesn’t feel right.

S - Show us an example of your personal headcanon (prompts optional but encouraged)

Hope y’all will get ready to hear some more Robin! Inigo headcanons in the future, because there’s quite a lot.

After Inigo went back in time, he was able to find his parents because many people had been mistaken Inigo as Robin many times before.

The only reason that this headcanon was made was during my first playthrough of FE : A, I made Inigo a grandmaster and wasn’t able to tell if it was my M!MU or Inigo unless I looked at the bottom screen lol–

T - Do you have any hard and fast headcanons that you will die defending?

See me dying as I defend the headcanon of Robin! Inigo having the mark of Grima / Defile in his right eye (like Chrom! Inigo with the mark of the Exalt).

W - A trope which you are virtually certain to hate in any fandom.

A hundred percent goes to the yandere trope. Why and how could someone be attracted to someone that could kill your friends and family and keep them locked in their basements I have no clue.

X - A trope which you are almost certain to love in any fandom.

It’s a tie between earn your happy ending and bittersweet ending tropes! I know they can technically overlap with one another, but I do see them differently.

I love seeing characters going through hell and even despair at points to reach the happy ending they worked hard for. Admittedly, I also love it when characters do everything to get that happy ending they wanted, but at a cost that grants them a happy ending that isn’t as happy as they hoped for.

Notes: There’s a teensy bit of angst in there oops but I hope this is fluffy enough! I feel I still don’t have a good grasp on writing Inigo/Laslow but I hope to improve that in the future YAS! Anyways! Enjoy!

Ft: Inigo

It was a lovely clear night out and what better way to spend it than cuddling in your lover’s warmth by the lake? That was Inigo’s tempting proposal, one you didn’t try too hard to reject. Weary sick and tired of staring at the maps on your table, you were only too happy to abandon the mountainous pile of paperwork for later as you followed your favourite swordsman outside.

You rested on the shore overlooking the body of water, your head pillowed on his lap as he gently carded his fingers through your hair, teasing pleased hums from your lips. The stress and frustration that had been building up all day seem to drain away in the serene environment and the smile that graced your face was genuine.

“You seem happy milady.” Inigo commented lightly, blushing when you caught his hand and pressed a kiss there.

“Thanks to you.” You teased, eyes filled with laughter at the red hue that washed over his features at the simple affection. Even after all this time spent together, your husband still turned red at even the most innocent display of love.

As moonlight flashed across the lake, something in your peripheral caught your eyes, plucking your curiosity. He moved back as you sat up, his questioning gaze turned surprised when you reached to take his face and tilted his chin up to take a closer look. Though your sudden motion surprised him, the young man let you do as you pleased even as his face pinked with embarrassment at your unexpected proximity.

“W-what is it?” he asked, growing slightly self conscious as you continued staring at the spot below his chin - was there something stuck on his face? Dear Naga! How embarrassing!

“This scar…” you whispered, your finger traced lightly against the slightly raised skin there. It was yellowed, aged, old. A wound caused so long ago… perhaps in another time.

“Ah…” he hummed as he took your hand and lowered it, meeting your gaze kindly. “I got careless.”

The feeling of guilt twisted in your chest, although you had not wounded Inigo yourself, the knowledge that an alternate version of you that brought darkness to his world had indirectly caused it and it brought you shame.

“It does not hurt anymore ______.” he squeezed your hand as if he knew where your thoughts went.

Impulsively you leaned towards him and pressed a kiss to his scar and was unsurprised when he flinched back, hand cupping his neck as his face blossomed with red.

“Wh-what-“ he choked on his words as you got on your knees leaning over him, unwilling to let him escape, your eyes lit with passionate determination.

“Show me me all your scars Inigo.” you demanded.

“What-“ his eyes widened comically and if it was even possible his face grew even redder.

“I want to know how many times you’ve needed me and I haven’t been there.” you explained, not giving an inch as your followed his awkward attempt to back-pedal. “I can’t change what’s been done but at the very least…”

“..let me soothe those memories with better ones.” you finished quietly, you didn’t see how his gaze soften and was unprepared when he pulled you down and wrapped his arms around you.

“What happened then doesn’t matter anymore.” he says gently, “I have you now and that’s all that matters.” his smile was tender as he met your gaze. “Because I have you now the wounds of the past no longer hurt. So won’t you smile for me? You know how much I love your smile.”

You giggled as he brushed your hair behind your ears, giving in to his request as you gave him your best smile. Leaning down you pressed your lips to his and stole a kiss, laughing as he loses his calm composure.

Filled with warm feelings of mirth and love you whispered the sacred phrase. “I love you Inigo.” And your smile brightened further when he managed to stammer through his embarrassment that he loved you too.

sorry this is random but I've seen you post about your favorite fe:f ships, but what about awakening? Who do you headcanon as Owain, Severa, and Inigo's parents?

oh my--

I AM CHROBIN TRASH. Like even out of supports, throughout the whole game, Chrom and Robin’s chemistry is just-- I could talk paragraphs of why I love Chrobin but I’ll move on.

Though I don’t have a specific favorite pairing for Henry, he makes a GREAT dad for all the children characters (especially Severa imo) like the game even says he’s the best dad and that is no lie.

I love Frederick as Owain’s father as well as I love his supports with Lissa so I’ve always imagine Frederick as Owain’s father. Even though all the characters are heroes, I feel like Frederick fits Owain’s description of a hero the best. A valiant knight protecting a princess and what not.

I also love the perfectly average x talented genius aka Stahl and Cordelia. Their supports A++ and Severa gets all the average genes from her father who even though she loves, she’s frustrated at.

As for Inigo’s father, I’m a sucker for my Feroxi pairing. Lon’qu and Olivia. Lon’qu is also an amazing dad with Inigo plus I find their supports my favorite out of all of Olivia’s supports. Like, they know each other and even Lon’qu is wary (like his is with all women) he’s not as... stiff with Olivia and more comfortable with her presence versus the other females. (I mean MU beats it out of him with throwing figs at him but that’s beside the point... MU doesn’t count)
