Winding gear in the overgrown abandoned clay pits which supplied the clay for bricks to build Botley. Déclin démographique et économique de Tenay. Au premier plan : l'ancienne usine des Eaux-Noires (peignage : activité consistant à débarrasser des paquets de fibres textiles parallèles de toutes sortes d'impuretés, afin d'améliorer l'opération de filatures). Aujourd'hui l'usine est en grosse partie abandonnée. Sur la droite un batiment d'habitation inhabité. Dans le fond, ce qu'il reste de la cité ouvrière Cleyzeaux, construite en 1870 pour les ouvriers des 3 filatures. Un second bâtiment identique à déjà été démoli. Celui-ci, totalement inhabité semble être voué à la même fin. Toutes les entrées sont murées, mais j'ai tout de même pu y pénétrer... Bizarrement, à l'intérieur, les appartements sont clean, les salles de bain sont quasi neuves. Idem pour les cuisines équipées. Tout à été restauré, et pourtant tout le monde est parti. Étrange... Qui connait le fin mot de l'histoire est prié de me le narrer. Merci. Non visibles sur la photo, la cité comprend une promenade : longue allée avec bancs et arbres, totalement à l'abandon ; des jardins à l'arrière sur lesquels il reste encore des jeux d'enfants : en friche ; et le plus beau : le Parc des Eaux Noires, édifié en 1970 d’après les conseils d’un paysagiste du Parc de la Tête d’Or de Lyon. Oasis de verdure. Grands arbres, lac à truites. Mais ça c'était avant. Aujourd'hui le parc est déserté, le lac est pratiquement asseché, les pneus ont remplacé les truites. Je dirai bien que tout cela est désolant, parce que ça l'est évidemment, et pourtant, flâner dans Tenay est un enchantement. Seulement pour moi peut-être, mais ça, certains ici peuvent très bien le comprendre.
