"anakin would've never turned to the dark side had qui gon lived." utter. bullshit. not only is this particular hot take an insult to obi-wan it completely robs anakin of his agency, because at the end of the day it was anakin's decision to pledge his loyalty to palpatine and to destroy everything that the people he loved held dear. that's what makes anakin skywalker such a compelling character, and as darth vader a tragic and iconic villian... because he did this to himself.

Like, for all Cere saying “While you’re alive, you always have a choice” Cal doesn’t really seem to have much motivation to do all this beyond *shrug* *indistinct noise*. It’s not like the game gives him an option to go be a farmer, or something, and his goals seem pretty vague. Like, he’s going to gather potential Jedi, then ? restart the Order ?, then ??, and ???, ?????, then DEFEAT THE EMPIRE!
I know the story takes some twists and turns, found family, the journey you wanted was inside you all along, yada yada, but I wish he had something he was striving for beyond “I don’t know, didn’t have anything better to do, I guess”. Give him a separate mystery to solve, or a memory he wants to unlock, or something.

hi. i saw your post about north haters. i actually hate her because simarkus was supposed to be canon but they decided to use north instead
yeah i strongly disagree with hating her Period but i can't stop you from having an opinion i guess .. it's just the whole "dastardly woman getting in the way of my ship" mumbo jumbo that makes me scratch my head and sigh a little. love simarkus as much as the next guy but i also feel like north doesn't need to be thrown under the bus for people to acknowledge that her relationship with markus was forced and had mediocre writing. i would probably even Like them together if their relationship wasn't built around north's trauma and vulnerability in a way that comes off as weirdly misogynistic on david cage's part but alas! mr. cage is a notorious asshole who cannot sacrifice his bigotry for the sake of half-decent writing!! i feel like the only character that truly suffers from that relationship is north herself Because she has a character outside of it that kind of gets tossed out because her relationship with a man is deemed as somehow more important than her personality. but yeah i feel like going as far as to outright hate north for no reason other than the fact that her character was used as a love interest and simon's wasn't still isn't agreeable to me but i'm not going to shame you for it

“crazy fat people want bigger hallways!”
no jessica, disabled people want more accessible spaces, and you’re consuming content entirely comprised of cherry picking clips of the most out-there/unlikeable/not conventionally attractive people to push a narrative. disabled people deserve accessibility as a basic human right, and so do fat people and people who aren’t conventionally attractive, believe it or not!!! (:

since i don't know the original at all take this w a grain of salt, but i honestly like that niragi got a second chance. i feel like the characters in the borderland were some sort of idealisations of their true selves, with either hightened or lowered morale or whatever you wanna call it
so what i want to believe is that niragi literally demonised himself so much that in the borderland he became this self obsessed monster whose entire identity circled around being evil - in some scenes it even seems like he needs to force himself to do something evil bc everything else would go against his self image
and that is not exactly the niragi we see a glimpse of later at the hospital. yeah he's still speaking in a self deprecating way but it's a very different tone. and i have high hopes that he will not become his borderland self in the real world, because now he has Chishiya.

Be warned that will be stuff about Koyanskaya released in future for na that will guaranteed to cause you to have mixed opinions on her
I’ve seen some spoilers in regards to her but didn’t dive too deep—I know there’s 2 sides of her, I think? Hence I’m riding off the Hope, she’ll get better. I know she’s the mistaken manifestation of Daji by many and that she’s not actually a part of Tamamo.
It’s still a poor take in my opinion to use her for the readers to learn of the Crypters and their goals by giving her some ‘omnipotent like sight’ into them while keeping her mysterious, just so us the players can learn the Crypters/Lostbelts, rather than just sticking to the roll she had from LB1, and letting the players learn of each Crypter through the actual narrative. Unless this is some scheme for us to get to know her, but I hardly think we’ve learned (unless I’m not paying too much attention) anything of her except that she has some connection to emotions and/or fear that gives her insight into humans.
