It has been said before so many times but I'll say it again. Rhaegar was one of the most, if not THE most important role model in Dany's life, even, especially, beyond his death. She never met Rhaegar, yes, but it is his legacy that is guiding her both consciously and subconsciously throughout her entire journey, from the very beginning, standing alongside her father's shady legacy that she prefers to ignore than to confront because of fear of what it may entail for her and her cause. GRRM put THREE Targs ahead of Dany, each of them with a VERY heavy baggage. Aerys and Viserys were despicable people and she could have easily, EASILY delved into that sense of blind entitement and authoritarianism that they most certainly inspired. But alongside them, she chooses to hold onto Rhaegar's memory or legacy or imaginary or whatever the hell you want to call it, and she chooses to lead with that. She literally identifies herself with him, it's her face she sees inside his helmet. She desperately holds onto him, the only family member whose legacy is even remotely positive, based on the opinions of multiple different sources. What Dany wants the most is her family back, her home back. She is an orphan, she is alone, she has nothing left but her name and the dream of who that brother was and what she could be in his place, where she could succeed where he failed, in the same way Jon could succeed where Ned failed (the parallels are so strong). To have this taken away from her as well, to have Rhaegar's legacy smeared in the way the fandom does, is not only a direct attack to Dany but also extremely boring and repetitive, in all its fake "deconstructive"/"subversive" glory. Oh so you mean that her entire family were just monsters, one was an abusive loser, the other a psychopath and the third one, the only one that is presented as good, turns out to have been a machiavellian pedophile forcefully impregnating women for scientific experiments. So, Robert's initial thesis as presented in the very first book is not only confirmed but completed with new even more hideous information. And you call that subversive.
Just, no. What happened to nuance, I wonder? What happened to "oh this character had strong virtues but also some fatal flaws that led to his downfall, among other external factors"? You call the "Rhaegar forcefully impregnating unwilling women in order to use them and their babies as pawns to an imaginary war" a nuanced and subversive take in the context of asoiaf of all possible media? Really? Be for real.
Not even delving into the fact that Rhaegar being the only character of his generation actively interested in the prophecy and not in purely personal political gain is actually one of his main redeeming character traits, if not the most redeeming one and literally sets the thematical tone for the entire book series because that's PhD level for most people here.

What's your opinion on valastor (val x alastor)?
I'm assuming you're not a regular over here but uh I don't like any reciprocated romantic alastor ships, and the only alastor qpr I like is radiorose
I AM interested as to what their general relationship would be like though, cause so far alastor has NOPED out of any episode val strongly features in (episodes 4 and 6) and has obviously interacted with vox and been in the same room as velvette, making val interestingly the only vee alastor has not been seen in the same room with.
I think it's also very interesting that they're essentially connected by 2 factors
vox
huskerdust
which are 2 potentials of forcing an interaction between them
also I think val would maybe generally acknowledge alastor as being sexy but be uninterested otherwise (that is vox's thing).
also it's kinda a gag here that val is an alastor repellent because alastor has fourth-wall-breaking sex repulsion.
but aside from that joke, I don't think val is the kind of person alastor would like (although he did use to associate with vox it's kinda ???? on the info we have regarding that, whether vox became worse over time or if vox was like "that one oomf who low-key breaks your dni but you keep him around cause he's chill" until he wasn't), only info we really have regarding alastor's perspective on him is his general view of the vees "nobody important" "he'd (vox would) be powerless without the other vees" which doesn't really tell us much of anything.
we do have a bit more with val's side but he generally doesn't seem that interested but presumably might've been partially involved in the time alastor "almost beat" vox, "he owes us much more than money", I know there's a theory the reason his and vox's left antennae are fucked up is because of that. and val is actually seen smiling at alastor's downfall in episode 8 (he only loses the smile after vox does his weird shit LMAO but if you look at the beginning of each scene you can see he's smiling at the screen like he's enjoying alastor's suffering too. just not to the insane extent of vox) and he celebrates alastor fleeing, together with vox. so there's?? something there that shows they're enemies obviously but he doesn't have that same personal connection vox does
oh yeah I also find it incredibly funny there may have been a time pre-radiostatic-fallout that overlapped with post-voxval-meeting, so there could've been a time vox tried to introduce val to alastor. and (I brought up this exact thing in a previous post but I'm too lazy to find it) I think the moment anything sexual came out of val's mouth alastor would've immediately wanted to stay far away from him (thus starting val being an alastor repellent)
valastor is definitely vox's worst nightmare though. luckily for him it would never happen.

So I began writing this post a few days ago while on the verge of sleep, and it is now I’m here to finish what I started. Do not expect this to be organised as it is just a messy ramble.
And this particular ramble is about why Adam Murray has Alexithymia, explained by someone who has Alexithymia <- Me!
For anyone who doesn’t know what Alexithymia is, here’s a brief explanation. Alexithymia is essentially emotional blindness. It’s fairly common, being present in about 1/10 people if I recall, and while it varies from person to person, it typically entails a difficulty recognising, distinguishing and acting on emotions.
In this case, yes, Adam is an alternate, and his behaviours can be chalked down to that, however I’d argue what he experiences is still Alexithymia, biblical horror or not.
Oh, and, before I actually break it down, some of this will be based on my own personal experience, although, I will also be using general information and the likes.
Alright, now let’s actually begin.
When it comes to Alexithymia, it may sound simple, but in actuality its a complicated personality trait with various factors involved and can cause a lot of problems for those with it. It can, in many cases, lead to feelings of apathy and emptiness, because when you can’t recognise emotions, it can at times feel like they aren’t there at all.
We see this with Adam. He experiences very clear apathy in situations where you’d expect panic or upset etc. He has a difficulty connecting with people because of this, and it gives the impression that he really doesn’t feel much at all outside of his search for his mother and his obsession with alternates, but thanks to the diary entries we know that isn’t the case.
The diary entries show us clear as day that Adam is confused by his own emotions.
Tumblr media
This part in particular sticks out to me. ‘Really bad’ can mean a lot of things, the iceberg of negative emotions is a vast one, but ‘really bad’ is how I used to explain my own negative feelings when I couldn’t properly understand them. It could absolutely be that he’s never felt this before, but it could also be he’s never registered it before, which is very possible. Hell, I only learned what being upset felt like a few days ago.
Maybe he’s feeling guilty, maybe he’s feeling grief, we don’t know, and neither does he.
Tumblr media
He also does it again here, with an added descriptor. I do this a lot myself. You’ll say something along the lines of ‘I feel really good, like X just happened!’ And then someone will say, oh so you’re feeling relieved (as an example), and like oh shit, that’s what the good vibes are?
Another thing very common with Alexithymia is inappropriate reactions that don’t match the situation. It’s especially worsened when you can’t register the emotions of others either or understand why they’re feeling the way they are. If that sounds familiar, it’s because Adam demonstrates this twice. He shows excitement in a situation that should by all means be terrifying, and he shows a complete lack of concern towards Jonah’s death, which, based on the diary, he seems to have a delayed response to.
And with delayed responses, especially in regards to death? I’ve been there and done that. Adam may be apathetic to his death at first, but give its a few days and some reminding (the screams), and the reality of his own feelings hits.
Speaking of Jonah actually, another notable trait found with Alexithymia is relationship avoidance. Interpersonal relationships are hard as it is, and Alexithymia adds a new layer of difficulty. How he handles relationships may also be influenced by his upbringing, which we don’t know much about, but I think we can assume it probably wasn’t the best. He says ‘I don’t have friends’, but I think what he really means is he doesn’t know how to make friends nor does he know what counts as a friend.
As far as he’s aware, friends will only hold him back (Gestures to Sarah and Jonah being too scared to help him), and he’s better off without them. There does some to be some desire of connection with Adam, even if he struggles, but every time he’s been let down by people who don’t think the same as him.
As a note though: Alexithymia doesn’t mean you’re blind to every emotion or are some kind of robot, even if it feels that way sometimes, I’m very capable of recognising the difference between platonic and romantic love for example, or I’m able to to identify things like happiness, anxiety, confusion etc. sometimes I can get them mixed up, but I know what they are, how they feel, I just can’t describe them any further. Typically you can determine whether something is negative or positive, although on rarer occasions, at least for me, you can get those mixed up too because of similar bodily responses/similar emotional vibes.
But good luck experiencing both positive and negative emotions at the same time: seen again Adam’s response to Jonah’s death. He knows that’s a bad thing, but he favours the positive outcome of the investigation. This is something I do as well. Because there’s a disconnect between you and your own feelings, shutting down the negative ones is… surprisingly easy if there’s a positive one you can ‘choose’ instead. Also it’s just overwhelming to feel both at once, and the truth is the negative feeling is still there, you’re just gonna get jumpscared later on when you least expect, which of course, happens to Adam.
There’s a sort of logical thinking pattern that commonly comes with Alexithymia, it’s hard to handle problems emotionally or help others emotionally when your own thought process is ‘how do I solve this issue entirely?’ Adam is without a doubt a logical thinker, however impulsive he may be. I’ll have to elaborate on this at a later date though, because it’s difficult for me to explain the subtle behaviours of logical thinking, but the way he handles relationships and how he weights out situations is almost never emotional. For example he doesn’t consider Jonah’s distress as a reason not to go into the basement, because the basement holds answers, and why wouldn’t he want those?
On a final note, there’s one last piece from the diary that, while not an indicator of Alexithymia; is neat to talk about if you believe Adam has it. The way this is described is very vivid, at least to me, because often when you can’t describe feelings you resort to metaphors and very out there comparisons, to a point you get very good at it… and Adam is very good at it, at least to me. I know exactly what he means by this! Who knows, maybe he could make a great poet.
Tumblr media
As a whole there’s a very… alienating feeling with Alexithymia, and it’s easy to feel inhuman at times, especially when you feel such a disconnect with your own emotions, to a point they don’t feel real. In Adam’s case he’s literally inhuman and you know what, those kinds of characters are very relatable to neurodivergent people for those feelings of alienation. I mean, Alexithymia has a lot of overlaps with autism and ADHD, being more prominent in autism but also in ADHD as well!
I had a lot more to add to this post but I think I may come back to that once I’ve actually researched Adam’s scenes because I wrote almost all of this at around 4am before falling sleep again, so I’ve completely forgotten half of what I planned to write. Alas.

How Armstrong Feint became Hangfire
Tumblr media
Re-reading ATWQ fueled my brainrot concerning the radicalization of Armstrong Feint. How did a loving father become a terrorist hell-bent on slaughtering children? So I did some research on common risk factors that can make people susceptible to terrorism and checked how they apply to Armstrong. Needless to say, this only made my brainrot worse. Anyway, here are the results.
Social isolation ☑️
The first risk factor is the lack of reliable social connections. You may be all alone or unable to open up emotionally to the people close to you. You might even have trouble interacting with other people in the first place. This can result in feeling alienated. There also is no one to support you when you are hurting or interfere when you start radicalizing.
While having only Ellington's limited and likely romanticized perspective on her life with her father, there are some hints Armstrong may have been lonely. He was a single parent who spent most of his time working alone in the wild. Ellington does say she contacted people who knew him, but she never mentions anyone but her father when talking about her past. This could imply they led a very isolated life. Also, Armstrong's enthusiasm about nature could have something to do with his having trouble getting along with other people. At least, he seemed to prefer plants and animals over people.
Hardship ✅
Intense suffering makes you vulnerable in many ways. If you experience hardship and don't get support, you might become more susceptible to radical views/groups. That's what's so seductive about things like cults or terror organizations, after all: They promise you a community, a sense of belonging, and an easy solution for your problems.
Again, we don't know enough about Armstrong's past. He certainly must have been stressed out by being a single parent and the only bread-earner of the family. And he must have gotten into this position somehow. We never learn why Ellington's mother has never been in the picture. Furthermore, as a nature-loving person, he must have felt extreme anguish at the destruction of his home region caused by the flood. Not to mention the destruction of his hometown and the life he had built for himself.
There is also one intriguing aspect that doesn't get explored in the books, so it's purely speculative: the war that made Colonel Colophon a hero. We don't know when exactly this war happened or how involved the Snicket country was, but it does open the possibility that Armstrong's generation had to fight as soldiers.
Lack of perspective ❓
You're in a bad place and don't see a way out. You don't see the point anymore and don't know how you want to go on. Another allure of terrorism is providing you with a 'meaningful life'.
This one is tricky. Armstrong did have a purpose in the form of a young daughter whom he undoubtedly loved with all his heart. We don't know if or how he intended to reunite with her had he succeeded. We can only speculate if he fell into resignation. Perhaps he was shaken by the futility of his life's work after one tycoon's decision had undone it. Perhaps he realized Ellington was growing up and wouldn't need him in a few years.
Powerlessness and injustice ✅
This is relevant both on a social and individual level. When you live under corruption, tyranny, etc without a way to defend yourself, you're more likely to resort to terrorism. It's also relevant if you personally feel you're being treated unfairly and there's nothing you can do about it.
The social injustice is blatantly clear: Ink Inc. was allowed to destroy Killdeer Fields for profit, and its inhabitants could not prevent it. The flooding must have started several years before the beginning of ATWQ. Who knows what Armstrong and the rest of the town did to fight it, all in vain? We also see how corrupt and incompetent the institutions, such as the police, the official fire department, the press, and the legal system, are in the Snicketverse. This might have been a reason the V.F.D. became successful in the first place: They fixed the failed state.
Armstrong's individual perception is more obscure. He certainly realized he was a victim and probably became increasingly obsessed over this. He may have started out being rightfully outraged by the injustice done to him by Stain'd-by-the-Sea and shaken by his own helplessness. But eventually, he got stuck in this state of mind until he forgot he still had agency and responsibilities.
Over-simplified worldview ✅
You tend to view the world in clear black-and-white categories: You are always the hero, and the others are the villains. You're always the victim, the others the oppressors. You're never responsible for your actions; it's everyone else's fault. You lose touch with reality as you sink deeper into a super simple, convenient narrative of how the world works, and spreading terror and violence is the only right to do.
Hangfire displays this attitude during his conversation with Lemony in book 4. He only points out Stain'd-by-the-Sea's crimes without taking ownership of his own. He equates humanity to beasts trying to survive. There are no morals; every act of violence is just self-preservation. It's kill or be killed, meaning kill the children of Stain'd before they can repeat their parents' mistakes.
Conclusion
What can I say? These books have messed up my brain.

At the end of Adventure 02, Oikawa, despite being an adult, was able to meet his Digimon partner, Pipimon. So why during the events of Kizuna, they simply believe in Menoa's theory, even though they've already seen that it doesn't make sense from what happened to Oikawa and Pipimon? Even now in The Begining, they still belive in her theory. Did the 02 kids (and all other choosen children) forget what they saw in the end of Adventure 02?
I don't remember anything at all about this being mentioned in regards to The Beginning, so I can't answer anything regarding that. We don't have evidence Rui's issue has anything to do with the problem, in any case.
Well, it's true that my analysis treats Oikawa like a contradiction because I start with the premise you shouldn't be taking Menoa's theory at face value anyway, but one thing I should point out is that even in real life, people who did take Menoa's theory at face value when watching the movie did not consider Oikawa to be a contradiction. (And believe me, I actually read a page dedicated to dunking on the movie and finding contradictions as much as possible, and it was a terrible experience and I do not recommend it at all, but my point is that even someone who was out to rip apart the movie as much as possible was willing to concede this one.) Even Menoa's theory does not have anything to do with physical or legal age. I cannot stress this enough: even if you believe in Menoa's theory as much as possible, physical age has never, ever been a factor.
By her testimony, she became an adult at 14 years old, which is not an adult by any normal standard; she believes she became an "adult" because she went to university to become Mature and Accomplished. Meanwhile, Oikawa is often described in analysis as "a Chosen Child who never grew up" because he clung to an image from his past and refused to move on. He never wanted to be an adult in the first place, he even thought becoming an adult made him "tainted" and unable to go to the Digital World. So even if Menoa's view of life were correct, someone who's stubbornly clinging onto this kind of thing and refusing to accept the idea of entering general adult society would not truly have become an adult. Not even by her standards.
Even that aside, though, Kizuna only takes place over a few days. I think if you've just been informed that your partner is about to disappear and you only have a few days to process it, I don't think you're going to have the mental space to go back through and think about every single thing in your life that may or may not contradict it, much less an event that took place a whole eight years prior. I imagine the 02 kids are probably more likely to have Oikawa's death burned into their memories, but while I'm sure the older Adventure kids certainly did care, their level of attachment and involvement in the cases in 02's finale was still in the realm of "helping their juniors" and getting third-party information, and I'm sure they've seen and been involved with many other things in those last eight years. They were certainly there to see Oikawa meet Pipimon, and it was certainly an important event that probably left an impression, but they were kind of all the way in the back there, and would they easily be able to remember it instantly when they're dealing with a bunch of Chosen Children being kidnapped and their own partners potentially disappearing at any moment? I'm sure after the events of Kizuna, they'll probably have a lot of time to think back on what caused this and what they can do about it, and I don't really expect them to come up with the right answer in only a few days, or even a few weeks or months. It's a tough question.

MAG 168 Relisten
Activity on my first listen: cutting the Kolkwitzia amabilis in my garden.
Ah yes, another ambiguous... thing. Roots, routes.
I feel like Martin dancing around at the beginning here, asking Jon if he‘ll gonna be okay on his own is already because he‘s jealous and he wants to bring this situation in a certain direction. It sounds like they have already talked about crossing Oliver‘s domain cause Martin knew it’s his.
MARTIN: "So, are you gonna smite him, then?" Hehe, Martin showing his petty side xD The topic is serious, but it's still funny to hear that conversation xD
MARTIN: "I know what I said, and I don’t – (sigh) I don’t know, Martin. I just – I don’t think he’s – (sigh) I don’t know; I don’t think he’s evil." Yeah, that’s also what I thought. He seems neutral? I mean he even tried to save people at first. It was a bit more unfortunate for that boat crew that they were caught up in his little breakdown… Actually how does Oliver feed the End? Is it just those little gestures like looking all sad at Jane or asking the statement giver of MAG 42 what she‘s listening?
MARTIN: (really?) "Oh, yeah, sure; he’s probably a really kind, benevolent ruler of a hellish fear prison." Martin still couldn't wrap his head around the concept of watcher and watched. He is just as much a watcher as Oliver is. Jon is a watcher, that at least he knows, I think, and he doesn't see him as evil.
Ahhh, this scene is so perfect! It's well written and funny and the acting is on point!
That little laugh when Martin is finally out of earshot xD Like „I can’t believe we actually had that conversation r.ight now”
"I have no power to stop it, and even if I did, I would not do so. For to rob a soul of death is as torturous as its inevitable coming." There’s a reason the trope of not being able to die/a fate worse than death is called And I Must Scream.
Is this statement a comment on the rise of self-diagnosing because of the Internet? There have been Hypochondriacs have been around pre-internet, so I'm not so sure about this.
"She may see Maria lying in her hospital bed, monitors crowding her as the doctors struggle to get an IV into her wildly convulsing arm. She might have a flash of Bobby, fingers tightening around the rungs of the ladder as the rusted nails give way. She often sees Dennis’s face as the knife slips eagerly between his ribs, even though he doesn’t die for hours afterwards." Jon‘s mum (surgery complication), Jon‘s dad (fell of a ladder) and Jon himself. This says that Dennis didn’t die for hours, so there’s still a chance for Jon to be saved when they‘ll arrive somewhere else!
"a) When Danika Gelsthorpe reaches the end of her Corpse Route, she will die. This new world of fear reviles death as a release, but the Coming End cannot exist without its reality. It is not a being of dangled promises and shifting torments. The certainty of death waits for all who travel the Corpse Routes, and that certainty will be delivered on, without hesitation or consideration of any other factors." That does very much make sense, otherwise it would lose the one thing the End is about.
"b) This place is a limit on the fear that can be generated from them, as their pool is necessarily finite and ultimately, however slowly, it will be exhausted. To be offset, this consideration will require the acquisition of victims from other domains as replacements, potentially inciting… bad feeling between those domains." When they run out of people, they will get them from somewhere else. Wonder what that "bad feeling between those domains" was meant to be telling us. That watchers would start wars against the End?
"c) A metaphysical quirk of this new reality’s divorce from the traditional concept of time, and – one for which I have no further explanation, means that I do not believe new humans are being created or born." This does make sense in the way of their bodies stopping metabolism. They don't need to eat, they don't need to drink, they don't need to sleep. They are frozen in time. Probably also won't age. And without aging no new life can come into being. (I also headcanon hair stopping to grow, fingernails etc.) But what about domains that feed on the fear of pregnancy or childbirth, bringing up a child? Well, we learn in MAG 178 that the Fears can create artificial people, decoys, NPCs for the sole purpose of making the real ones more afraid. I guess it would be like that.
"d) When this happens, the Great Powers themselves will also fade and die, withering away into nothingness and releasing this reality from their grip." If they need to feed on fear to survive, they will starve. Absolutely makes sense. That's also very similar to the stop-feeling-fear strategy because of which we heard a bunch of people escape their situation. There's just nothing that keeps them going.
"I… do not know how I feel about this." I love Oliver Banks. He's my favourite Avatar side-character!
"Perhaps once it might have horrified me, or given me some sense of pursuing the ultimate release of the world that you have damned." Okay, not cool, Oliver. It was Jonah Magnus who did this.
JON: "The Avatar of Death shall live. (heavy inhale) Martin’s going to be thrilled." It's so poetic, I can't imagine why Martin dislike this.

I'm having a bad chronic pain flare up so here's my ideas of the types of chronic pain some of the MHA characters might have at some point... Well... Dabi, Shigaraki, and Bakugou because I've 'assigned' them with my three most prevalent chronic pain issues (phantom nerve pain/nerve pain in general, arthritis, and carpal tunnel).
We'll start with Dabi because, of course we will.
Dabi
Now, I know that canonically he doesn't feel pain on the areas of skin that are already burnt. But I'd think that there may be some days where he gets some bad phantom pain - sometimes because of some sort of triggering event and sometimes just because. And he does not want to be touched at all by anyone during those times and will react rather violently if someone does touch him. Also he's still gaining burns from overusing his quirk which, at least during the beginning stages before the nerves are completely fried, has to hurt and probably is a trigger for the psychosomatic phantom pain.
Shigaraki
I'm actually not even gonna talk about the scratching because I feel like that's more of an anxiety response and while, yes, I'm sure it hurts a bit sometimes but I wouldn't label it as chronic pain (and if you feel differently that's 100% okay - I'm not trying to crush anyone else's opinions/headcanons, I'm just sharing my own and we can definitely have different opinions on this).
Anyway, what I think he might struggle with more, is arthritis. Due to his quirk and the multitude of injuries he's had among many other factors. And he adjusts and learns how to manage the growing pain but that doesn't mean it doesn't hurt and he can often be found taking cold baths to help with the inflammation.
Bakugou
Carpal tunnel. Both wrists but more prominent on his dominant hand.
(also this is the one that has been the cause of the worst and most frustrating chronic pain I've been dealing with lately as it's gotten much worse very quickly recently so... yeah.)
He notices it first as a dull ache that starts at the middle of his forearm and goes up into a few of his fingers. Then he realizes that his whole hand will be numb when he wakes up despite the fact that he hadn't even been laying on that side.
And then the real nerve pain starts in the middle of a battle after he sets off a large blast and sharp pain - as if he'd been skewered through his three middle fingers all the way down to the middle of his forearm - shoots through his hand. It's left feeling all tingly and weak and sharp sparks of pain continue to shoot through it when he moves his wrist a certain way or grips something too hard or uses that hand to explode something.
As much as he tries to hide it because, y'know, he's Bakugou, and just handle it on his own with built in braces in his Hero costume and whatnot he does end up needing to have surgery. It's when it starts affecting every day life to a certain extent - dropping coffee cups, being unable to write for more than a couple minutes, having to wear wrist braces all the time, even when asleep - and he just can't do it anymore.

[hands] [other]
SEND ME A WORD AND LEARN ABOUT MY MUSE'S PHYSICAL FEATURES . also sent by @veqva .
Tumblr media
cole cassidy has proportionate hands to a man of his general stature and lifestyle. his hands were never either too big or too small. his fingers are long, each knuckle knobbly and scarred and calloused, but they are in no way thin. the skin of his palms is often sweaty, especially when he wears gloves of any kind [ and he does so as to keep his fingerprints off his gun and the gunpowder off his fingers ]; skin is dry otherwise, filled with scars from previous scruffles and the handling of sharp objects in his youth.
his nails are short and gently curved, but he doesnt manicure them otherwise; the undersides are clean from debris and dirt, but the nail beds are ruined by his anxiety driven habit of pulling at his cuticles. the only moments he ever cares about the state of his nails are when he needs to be either jerome mcginnis, the tradesman of a nice canadian family, or jeffrey wayne, the young socialite adopted by a rich family — both would be expected by society to have have well kept nails and their hands soft.
his hands also shake from time to time — never when holding a gun or any kind of weapon, but the alcohol and the cigars from a young age coupled with insomnia make them tremble at times. it used to be much worse when he was young [ pre - deadlock, especially, but wholly pre - overwatch ], the anemia and irregular meals causing a depletion in blood oxygenation and the impression of cold under his skin. he is also beginning to notice small signs of osteoarthritis in some knuckles and his wrist [ along some other places in his body ].
it is interesting to note that for all he can change himself in name and appearance as to both survive and work, his hands are one aspect he can not be so easily modified. he carries his stories there, all of them. these are the fingers which joel morricone uses to write his articles and columns, which jeff and jerome shake hands, the same ones cole cassidy and maverick logann kill people. these are the hands that choked his sister, and there is no running away from that. his hands tell the truth his mouth can not speak.
and since we are already on the topic of his hands, we may as well speak of his prosthetic arm.
for years, cassidy has been secretly assigned to spy on doctor mina liao and her classified project, as to ensure neither were compromised — be it against liao or in favor of a second omnic crisis. spending so much time together, mina and cole developed a secret romance. after the catastrophe that was the mission in rialto, cassidy was sent to oslo more and more often — going weeks and sometimes months by mina’s side in and out of the watchpoint. it coincided that, in one of these visits to the watchpoint, talon invaded and set off a bomb in the building, much like what happened in rome. this time, cassidy wasn’t so lucky as to not be in the direct blast zone of the explosion. debris and equipment pinned him down, and his rescue’s success depended on his arm being amputated in the field.
afterward, he stayed under the care, among others [ albeit in dwindling numbers at this point ], of doctor angela ziegler / @veqva, who oversaw his recovery. a second amputation was needed for the fitting of a new arm. he went through the initial steps of physiotherapy in zurich but didn’t stay for the final fitting for the arm overwatch had developed for him. lost and grieving, cassidy made his way back to the deadlock gorge. eventually, with ashe’s help and knowledge in cyber mechanics, he designed and found a trustworthy medic for the procedure.
ashe could have arranged a clinic or hospital for the procedure, but their status as outlaws made things a lot more difficult. factored in as well the fact cassidy could be recognized in some way as the blackwatch agent involved in the fallout in italy years prior [ it also matters that cole was not in the mindset to accept things without pain. he opted for a riskier procedure because it was less of a risk to ashe and deadlock, and because it would hurt a lot ]. so they recurred to a ripperdoc, a type of medic able to perform away from the scrutiny of legal establishments, at a better price. it is not always guaranteed a painless procedure, and complications may rise. as a consequence, his remaining limb is riddled with scars and suffers from phantom pain on occasion. it is not only worse because the initial port and cyberization were made by overwatch.
the result is a stylized model that is unique to him. chrome plates with a clunkier appearance than the usual streamlines and elegance found in other prosthetics. the arm is slightly bigger than his flesh hand due to an error in calculating, but it maintains the same overall level of productivity. the skull is an aesthetic touch, bright blue eyes powered by an internal battery.
the limb is also designed with boosted strength, speed, and resilience. it never grows tired, and it doesn’t feel pain — while keeping tactile prowess. it is able lot sustain a lot more damage than flesh and bone, the titanium skeleton under the chrome plates strong enough to bash someone’s head in. therefore, while having no built-in weapons or mechanisms, the prosthesis is still quite a force to be reckoned with.
a great advantage of his arm compared to common models is the power injection. while yes, the prosthetic is connecto him through cybernetic nanites, as courtesy of overwatch, the limb itself is motorized. it counts with hydraulic mechanisms and servos that run near silently but provide him all the necessary fine motor skills in his elbow, wrist, and each finger. which means he is relatively safe from EMP blasts and other types of electrical outages.
not to say cassidy doesn’t have fiber and plastic models. they are crucial when he needs to not be recognized. he has a simple plastic white arm and the same one in red. he also counts on a very fragile, rarely used model that is covered in synthetic skin. it is nearly impossible to distinguish between his two and when he is wearing it. he bought the first two models under an alias, and they were relatively easy to install and switch out despite the lack of cross compatibility between them and his original prosthesis. the synthskin arm he bought after a large bounty, in japan. it is relatively new and, again, not used often.
the mismatched weight, however, often affects his gait. his left hip and shoulder are the most affected, which also affects his already damaged knee in attempts of compensation. when able, especially now that he is once more with overwatch, he showers and sleeps with it off so as to not exacerbate his joints further.

The Mei Hou Wang & Mordecai Connection
What follows is a theory I’ve been forming for some time on the nature of fiends, spoilers for the main quest up to Chapter 25 (part one) and events I'll warn of as I go (it's gonna be a lot of them).
In the first part of chapter 25 Mordecai reveals himself to be the "heart" of Xenos, removed and having formed his own consciousness and personality. I have personal suspicions about where this may be going plot-wise but I will spare you for today. I should note before continuing that the specific word Mordecai uses in the jp version is kokoro, which refers less to the actual organ and more to the spiritual "heart" (the ability for compassion and empathy or however you choose to interpret it). So, yknow, with this information no wonder Xenos is Like That. This is something intriguing that meshes well with a mystery I've been picking at for awhile.
Raid Bosses:
Excuse my jumping from idea to idea with little explanation, its the mental illness, I'll tie everything together in a bit.
Theres something thats been bothering me for a long while about raid boss fiends and it's quite simply how... Sentient they seemed by comparison to your average fiend.
Its well established lore at this point that fiends are just coalesced black mana, and that creatures that can generate black mana can create new fiends (most notably Xenos, Satan, and Morsayati), however theres an alternate manner in which fiends can be formed.
Spoilers for the events Loyalty's Requiem and Kindness and Captivity ahead!
(yeah i know these are old events but there's really no predicting)
In Loyalties Requiem its established (explicitly stated by Pele) that if exposed to black mana for long enough a person can transmute into a fiend, in this specific case the transmutation of King Archeole into a Cyclops fiend. We see a few other instances of this throughout various events but I'll refrain for now.
Tumblr media
In Kindness and Captivity its further established that this same phenomena can occur in dragons, with Harle (the fake one) explicitly stating that he utilized black mana to transform the peaceful village protector Sylvia into the living weapon Hypnos.
Tumblr media
Now with this out of the way we can sit for hours and theorize about the specific origins of each and every fiend raid boss, however there's one in particular that seems a bit... Off? More so than the others.
See, regardless of how it may or may not have been made, the base factor that connects fiends is their "fiendish" nature, they cause problems, they attack people, they're usually outright violent or, barring that, problematic.
Enter the anomaly: Mei Hou Wang.
Spoilers for Timeworn Torment ahead!
Mei Hou Wang is an interesting case being a peaceful fiend, he's what I'm actually here to talk about today. See recently I've been rereading events so that I can have a better grasp of the lore before it all goes down the drain, and most fiend raid bosses make sense in the context of either being coalesced black mana or a creature corrupted by it, but one so far has stood out to me, that being Mei Hou Wang.
Tumblr media
For those of you who haven't read the event and didn't heed my spoiler warning, let me catch you up. Mei Hou Wang is the fiend trapped in the Jin Gu Er, a Qilin relic seen previously in Echoes of Antiquity, at the beginning of Timeworn Torment he breaks loose of the relic, though his memories remain sealed, and he behaves in an overall peaceful and empathetic manner (even going so far as to throw himself in front of a fiend to stop it from hurting a squirrel). Later in the event the seal is fully broken and his memories and powers return, causing him to once more become violent.
This isn't base fiend violence, though.
Long ago, (presumably a few thousand years, seeing as he was sealed in a Qilin relic) Mei Hou Wang was a peaceful fiend, though he had the unfortunate ability to spawn more friends, whether he desired to or not (my working theory on this is that he's just continuously generating enough black mana to make fiends). With this ability he posed a threat to civilization, despite his peaceful nature, and was sealed within the Jin Gu Er, where he began to harbor a hatred and desire for vengeance. Ergo, in both ancient times and in modernity when he's an amnesiac, Mei Hou Wang defaults to being peaceful. This is noted, even in game, to be highly unusual.
So what is Mei Hou Wang really?
Well, my personal theory is that he's another entity like Mordecai, created from some other aspect of Xenos and gifted with some of his ability (Xenos has the ability to generate black mana and create fiends, though he seems to prefer the "terminals", yknow the cube things that are now plot relevant, and I believe its been said now that Xenos is the origin of black mana).
Now my evidence for this comes mostly from Morsayati, who you'll recall is an entity that split from Mordecai and harbors the ability to generate fiends (this ability that persists even after it is sealed and its body strewn across the land, and being the entire reason that Euden goes to fetch a Sacred Shard at the beginning of the game). They share the same ability set which, yeah, I'll admit, there are other fiends out there that can spontaneously generate fiends, but with Mei Hou Wang and Mordecai both originating from the space between worlds and defaulting peaceful but having these abilities at their disposal anyway, I think it's fair to at least insinuate they're connected.
Let me know if I got anything horrifically wrong in my details.

What exactly is wrong with Maya? I'm not trying to take sides but I'm generally curious what people are seeing in her.
Let's backtrack. She went to her superior and threatened to out her inappropriate relationship; the show/writers labeled it blackmail but it was Maya asserting her career and btw is was true.
Then the Beckett bullying started, which begs the question: if you were ever bullied in high school, did you run to immediately tell your parents or a teacher or did you live with it possibly in silence (this answer may depend on age)? That's the same thing Maya went through and I mean sure Carina probably suspected something was off with Maya coming home more exhausted in those 6 months but they had been doing IVF and seemed happy in episode 1, if a little stressed so it didn't seem like she was bringing it home with her. I actually believe Carina was her safe space in that time.
It wasn't until Carina witnessed for herself and confronted Beckett that she knew the extent of Maya's troubles and was mad at Maya for it. She "blackmailed" her boss; wanting her job back is not wrong and she wasn't wrong about the inappropriate relationship (she just doesn't know she's right yet). And it was Carina who turned away from Maya which caused Maya to start working overtime and staying at the station instead of going home.
Now it seems last weeks Theo rant caused Beckett to reevaluate his shit which even meant complimenting Maya possibly putting an end to the bullying, she reconnected with Carina (who again put them on ice to begin with) and Maya seems to be softening as a team player again.
So I ask again, what exactly is wrong with Maya that she needs to talk to someone? Something that is Maya's issue from the last 6 months that's not a reaction to what others have thrown at her? Like the Beckett bullying, she couldn't beat the shit out of him but she could beat the shit out of a heavy bag in the gym. Carina turned away from her in bed so her solution was to give Carina space and work more hours and stay at the station.
I just compare Maya from the "I just slept with Jack an hour ago" (I can't check what episode number that is) icing out Carina to this Maya and I don't see the same internalization she was going through back then.
Okay so I'm just curious...what do you think is the reason Carina "turned away" from Maya in the first place? Because it sounds like you think she did that out of nowhere and that was the reason Maya started acting cold towards her but that's not how I see it.
I also think you're not including a major factor regarding the whole bullying aspect in what Beckett has been doing to Maya. It's almost exactly the same way she was treated by her father while growing up. To go through that same treatment and trauma all over again is triggering and not something that she would just stay silent about and not be affected by. Whether you agree or disagree that Maya blackmailing Ross about her job was wrong, it still had consequences. I totally understand why she felt like she had to do it because she had been sitting on her demotion for about two years and barely got an investigation or true answer on it. But she still made that choice. And not only did she make it, but she kept it from her wife for over six months. She had to hear about it from her wife's boss. You don't think Carina should be upset about that?
Maybe Maya was trying to separate her work stuff from her personal stuff in the beginning and that's why she didn't tell Carina at first. I'm sure she sees Carina as her safe space and didn't want to ruin that. We saw them as happy as they could be in the Season 5 finale. Carina got her green card, they were ready to take a pregnancy test, things were great. They even had Carina say "can we enjoy the great news for one night" and Maya couldn't do that. She goes to the Chief right after Pru's party. Which then leads to Carina's statement about how they were happy and she created chaos in the premiere.
Even when she came to terms with her father's abuse, she never really processed it and dealt with it like someone who would have gone through all that trauma should have. It took her father pulling her hair and almost losing Carina for her to come to the realization but then that was it. Adding that onto what she's dealing with now, losing her captaincy, the bullying from Beckett, shutting out her wife, the constant eyes forward mentality and constant exercising...you don't think it's time she really sits down with someone and talks through it all? When she's ready to? None of what she is doing is a healthy way for someone to process their trauma even if Maya doesn't realize that yet. When it starts affecting not only her personally but her wife and their relationship, I would think that indicates something is wrong and it needs to be dealt with in other ways. But that's just how I see it.

*clears throat* 😮‍💨
After sharing previous posts here alluding to it but not going into, the real details that I was hiding. When I said about my first post of my child alter’s art that she is, “comforted by Raul’s presence on the tv.” And, “there are other things that I relate with W&W but I’m not ready.” Or whatever I said in that post I can’t remember exactly. And now recently, with my recent posts here I feel it is important to explain, just a little bit more about this. *sigh* are you ready?
So as people already know or can tell, I have been clinically diagnosed and am getting help for Dissociative Identity Disorder mainly. I have been diagnosed with other things, I also have OCD. potentially have another serious mental thing going on that I’m currently in need and in the process of finding a specialist who can look at me for. But with that; To be brief for those who may not understand, about how DID works. Essentially I experienced a series of very scary and potentially life-threatening traumatic events when I was four, that caused my sense of self to separate and develop separately without any awareness of it or what had caused most of it, and there were varying other factors in my life as well.
what’s soon to be a year ago from now, (it’ll be in the middle of February,) I had what was first pain in my upper back from pulling it or something, to my hip acting up the second week. Lastly the third week, I was in immense excruciating pain in my abdominal area and thought I was going to die. It was at night where it was the worst, and I was basically bed ridden. At that time was when my hyperfixation on Wendell and Wild was very intense. Right after I posted my very first piece of fanart for Wendell and Wild on here
Well, Raul peeled off of me. I prefer to say “peel off” as opposed to “split” because in my experience with having DID… no matter how much pain I am in or how scary the situation is, the person leaving with, inside of this body (in this case it’s a regressed state of my mind, transformed into a mental incarnation of our boy, stuck in my psyche forever now. Oops. 😰) it is very gentle in and of itself, to the point where I don’t even recognize it happening.
This time, and it was the first time, I actually had been aware and was FEELING him peeling off. Those, almost within the entire three weeks it was starting. I was in denial because of stuff I’ve heard and read online concerning alters splitting as an adult. That it was far less likely which is subjective but also true, and I’ve never seen or heard that a part of someone either that was already regressed, or could still regress (I can’t tell you which way he peeled off exactly,) develop as an individual self and peel off still. Also, I didn’t think I could develop another introject this soon after the movie, show, game, etc. comes out. Which is stupid because you really don’t need much to begin with in terms of influence when you have need to split. Also this movie is quite obscure to the general population and my brain involuntarily picked Raul for a reason, but still. *sigh* I KNOW how ridiculous this sounds. I do. But I know what I’m talking about
I am pleased to say that I had saw him in my brain and was flailing my arms around making gestures at him in a desperate attempt at getting him to stop for a minute. He was trying to get in the water (basically trying to take over the body,) to PLEASE STAY. I said, “you can have all the time that you want if I survive.” 😂
But really! Because I didn’t want what was causing Raul to split to affect him. Like it would have ten years ago, and especially 20 years ago without my awareness and memory of it. My brain is ruthless. Ultimately it did end up working. And I woke up three days later on my bed, i look back in the “under water” in my brain and he was floating and peacefully asleep. I wasn’t sure I was even alive until then. Later he said he didn’t feel anything which was a relief on top of the fact that when I woke up it wasn’t in a hospital bed. When I find out that I had a blackout it is terrifying because I don’t know until after, what an alter was intending to do. If it’s like this, they can get hurt for not understanding what’s going on (and other people noticing you’re acting weird,) or doesn’t understand where he is and getting understandably upset but on top of that. I also didn’t want his first memories to be in a very stark and cold environment. Being asked by doctors what’s happened, and risk the potential of him having to find out why, and how he formed and peeled off the way that he did without having the chance to simply be. And he does know. It’s one of the things that I really don’t like about my disorder, it was quite upsetting for him at first. And because one of my child alters latched onto him, they together had to go through having him re-remember some of the things that were, horrible. He handled it relatively well. He did.
It took three months f- no, a month before he met them, and then three months after. (I’m going by what he eventually explained to me,) And then in therapy I found out she had adopted him, as her big bro.
There are reasons for which Raul in particular was peeled off and was added to my system. And why all this happened the way that it did. Part of it has to do with the fact that I was still at the peak of my transition at the time, (edit: and in my past, being “the art kid” (even though I forgot that I enjoyed art and didn’t know why people kept making that assumption,) having a single mom at his age. Being drawn to the goths/punks although I was also the punk, and being ostracized. Especially by a kid who was almost nearly the same as Siobhan was in the movie. In every way. I can’t even…. Is similar to my experiences when I was a kid but my brain doesn’t like to make the connection to myself. But with me also finding out without any clue previously and accepting that I am more of a man than I thought I was; I think it’s partially my brain also acknowledging that that was something that was a part of my life that I erased previously from my own identity. Out of blind ignorance but also. To keep keeping myselves safe from… certain people in my childhood. Don’t want to get into it, and you can probably understand what I am talking about.) but ultimately, I simply wanted to not be by myself for what I thought could have been my last moments. And my brain takes that dire need and runs away with it literally. That When the body had been perceived as “dead” by my brain, he took over the body the morning after when I couldn’t hold on anymore and had to go to “sleep,” but I wound up switching instead and didn’t know until I “woke up” three days later. That’s what’s up for people who think this is ridiculous, which it is, lol. absolutely. but it’s the truth. Lastly, more as to why he peeled off. Basically the same thing had happened a couple times before in the same way which adds to my likelihood of having a teenage male alter, peeling off and/or guarding the body for a significant amount of time. I know very specific, very awkward. but it’s true
*sigh* it doesn’t influence him as much as some of the others, but there’s influences (yes, influences him unfortunately and also in a slightly different way. also, “doesn’t influence him as much” is currently up for debate right now. I can’t get into it and don’t wish to. But I’m keeping an eye on his and some of the other’s behavior as we explore certain aspects of the previous trauma, in therapy. And taking as best care as I can of him, promise. Absolutely)
…is less obvious and is a completely unconscious response to the trauma. That’s very personal (our personal business,) and in order to help you understand I’d (also) have to get into specific details, which I don’t want to do here because I don’t want to upset anyone and I’m not trying to trauma dump or make this anyone’s point of concern. Ultimately I’m, I much prefer having this be explained a little bit better, instead of just having what I previously posted under these tags at THIS point, now that HE found and started posting under his own tag 😂 which is actually nice because I wouldn’t know how he feels if he didn’t write anything. I am responsible for this still. So I understand and I’m sorry if people find what I have written annoying, confusing, offensive or awkward, cringy and unsettling.
Sooo… 😐 yeah, that’s what happened. I’m sorry I didn’t say anything before, to those who might have been confused. I just didn’t know how else to express this and have it also make sense. Yeah
Something to get Lady Arachne off of the top of your tag sooner perhaps:
Tumblr media
Yes, that. That would be perfectly perfect

Monday of the 28th Week in Ordinary Time | 16 October 2023
In an article I ready this morning, sicknesses that we have today like hypertension and diabetes are caused most likely by 3 factors:
1. Environment,
2. Lifestyle, and
3. Genetics.
Kaya nga, to be honest po, but not wishing it to happen soon, napapatanong po ako kung magkaka-high blood po ako kasi both of my parents have it. I have no miss. The chances of this gene passing me out is very slim.
At the beginning, we thought it was only my mom who had it. But one afternoon, my father - because he was fond of drinking spirits - his senses became numb, he did not notice that his nape or batok was in pain already, he did not notice that he was suffering high-blood already. In an instant, because of the hypertension, a vein erupted in his braind causing him to suffer stroke and have half of his body paralyzed.
And pondering on this family experience of ours, if only my father had listened to us before, this catastrophe could have been avoided.
My dear brothers and sisters, let us not wait for any catastrophe to happen before we turn our hearts to Jesus.
We heard in our Gospel today that people were seeking SIGNS from God. And the same is true even today most especially when we are having a dillemma in choosing between two really good things.
We ask for signs either to guide us in weighing our options or we ask for signs to validate our primal decision. But our Lord Jesus Christ is clear - "This generation is an evil generation; it seeks a sign, but no sign will be given it, except the sign of Jonah.
No sign will be given to us except the sign of Jonah - if Jonah caused the Ninevites to convert their hearts and turn to Yahweh - the same will be the role of the Son of Man, of Jesus in our lives.
Jesus will be the sign to guide us in all our ways. How?
Simple, when faced with uncertainties, doubts, or questions, look at the sign of the Cross. And you will see there a man, not a dead man, but a man who offered his life for His beloved.
That is the sign that will guide us - a constant reminder to choose that option which will allow us to offer ourselves to others.
If Jonah became a sign for the Ninevites to repent and believe in God, may Jesus become a sign as well for us how to offer our lives to others. Piliin natin yung desisyon na mas makapagbibigay at mas makapag-aalay tayo ng sarili sa iba.
I don't know if I already shared this with you but one of my kuyas in the seminary once told me, "Aldwin, tandaan mo ito - kung nasaan ang hirap, naroon si Hesus."
Amen.

12 Things To Consider Before Hiring Emergency Plumber
It’s important to collect the information (rates, rating, license, work experience, etc) before hiring an emergency plumber. Especially when you've been confronted with a plumbing issue that is an ideal opportunity to make a little research about the person with whom you are going to work. In case you're worried about what you must do before employing a plumber, here are 12 things you should consider before hiring an emergency plumber.
Checklist Before Hiring Emergency Plumber - Plumber in Jamshedpur
1.    Cost Analysis
One of the main inquiries that strike a chord when you need a plumber to determine a crisis plumbing issue is the cost. This is a cause of concern as some plumbers charge a service charge for nominal work and sometimes even charge extra pay for maintenance tips. So in order to avoid such a situation have cost transparency between a plumber and you. There are several people who forget to discuss costs while hiring emergency plumber.
2.    Should Be Experienced
Few plumbers work with different subcontractors who have claims to fame in different regions. You'll need to see whether the handyman that will offer types of assistance to your home or office is the one that has the experience to complete your particular employment. And check whether spending money and time on that very plumber worthy or not.
Nonetheless, it's essential to know the accessibility of the plumber who will play out the genuine job.
3.    Have They Done The Exact Work Before?
Loads of plumbing service provider guarantee to resolve plumbing issues. Notwithstanding, it's essential to discover precisely what sort of administrations they've given previously and on the off chance that they can deal with the sort of administrations you need. Acquiring this data in advance can spare your tonne of money and time. Hiring emergency plumber in a hurry can lead to money and time loss.
4.    Should Be Certified, Reliable and Licensed
It is a clear fact that not all plumbing service provider are certified, reliable, and authorized. This is another significant inquiry that you should pose to a handyman before hiring.
Plumbing is a very sensitive factor in housing. A small pipeline issue can lead a big issue in your house. So it is always a better option to recruit one and only certified and licensed plumber in your home.
5.    Clean-Up Service
Some pipeline issues are significantly bigger than the others. Therefore, some require good clean up service otherwise plumber leaves a bigger wreck that needs to be fixed simultaneously. It's critical to discover from handymen – ideally before the activity begins – on the off chance that they are liable for tidying up any wreck that they make while performing plumbing administrations. You'll be astounded at what number of handymen leaves their work territory uncleaned.
6.    The amount Time Does The Job Require?
Small pipes employments, despite the fact that it could be a crisis circumstance, don't require as much time as others. It's a smart thought to discover ahead of time how long a proposed venture may take. Particularly, in case you're paying a handyman constantly for his administrations.
7.    Level Of Expertise?
Being an expert at work is significant consistently. In the present web-based life and client survey condition, many fulfilled and unsatisfied clients do leave audits about their contractual worker's exhibition online for the general population to peruse.
You should have the option to identify whether a handyman is proficient before you welcome him. Observe how he reacts to your inquiries, give little reference about the plumber behavior. For instance, an expert handyman need not be hesitant to go along past references from different employments or furnish you with a duplicate of their protection spread.
8.    Materials Used For Repairs
In practically all cases, a handyman will require extra supplies and material to finish your pipes work. Particularly if the activity includes a crisis, you can nearly wager that there will be a requirement for extra supplies. If so, you should discover from the handyman what kind of materials are required and how much the extra costs will be.
9.    Do They Have Insurance?
As per the laws in Melbourne, all handymen that training needs to have fitting protection spread to be agreeable. This is another inquiry that you should pose to the handyman before bringing the person in question installed.
There are times when errors are made by experts. Should a misstep occur, expensive errors can be secured by the handyman's protection strategy? In the event that the handyman that you choose to recruit can't give you confirmation of dynamic and substantial protection spread, at that point, you ought to consider employing an alternate handyman.
10.    Do They Provide a Guarantee/Warranty?
Notwithstanding most handymen best efforts, there are times when blunders occur and the activity isn't performed 100% up to the mark. At the point when this happens, to abstain from paying for a similar work twice, it's essential to inquire as to whether they ensure their work. Particularly on the off chance that they are putting in new channels, water warmers, or other significant hardware that should ordinarily keep going for a specific timeframe.
Handymen who ensure their work, for the most part, incorporate a condition expressing that they will fix any extra harms that occur inside or multi-day time span for nothing out of pocket. Handymen who can't ensure their work along these lines need to be seen as a hazard.
11.    How Fast Can They Respond?
In case you're confronted with a pipes crisis, you ought not to recruit a handyman who has time for the executive’s issues. Before recruiting a handyman, make research to ask him how rapidly he can react to the crisis plumbing issue.
12.    Do They Have The Authorizations Needed To Get The Work Done?
Since some pipes employments are significantly required certain grants and license than others. Make a study to see whether the handyman you are looking forward to recruiting, has the vital licenses from administrative or legal bodies to completely play out the job that needs to be done.

Can a dog eat cherry fruit? The most dangerous thing about cherries is that their grooves, stems, and leaves all have chemicals that are harmful and could kill you if you eat enough of them. Moreover, cherry pits can get forced to stick in a dog's intestines and make it unable to pass waste. Your dog has eaten a Cherry Pit? Be calm if your dog consumes cherry pits or cherries that have already been pitted. Cherry pits don't contain nearly as much toxicity as peach and apricot seeds. If you notice any signs of overdose in your dog after eating a lot of cherry pits, you should immediately contact your veterinarian. The body's ability to transport oxygen to cells is disrupted by cyanide, and as a result, symptoms such as trouble breathing, bright red gums, and even death are possible. Moreover, there are some more significant symptoms, including: Being sick and throwing up Not enough to eat Gums that are an odd shade of red Overdoses Disturbance Precipitates Symptoms Constipation Being sick and throwing up What kind of cheery dogs can eat? Since there are so many kinds of cherries, you may want to know which ones your dog can eat. Moreover, Your dog can eat the flesh of any cherry, from Bing to Rainier to Black. One thing is different. We don't think your dog should eat grand Marnier cherries. Even though Maraschinos already have the pits taken out, they are usually soaked in a syrup or sugar solution. That is why they taste so good in cocktails and not a good choice for a dog to eat. How can several cherries make dogs sick? A cherry or two shouldn't do much harm. But it would help if you still watched for signs that your dog has been poisoned by cyanide. The chance of your dog getting sick increases the more fresh fruit they eat. Can you kill a dog with how many cherries? The number of cherries required to kill a dog may surprise you. A solution to this question is challenging because it depends on many variables. A few, there are body mass index (BMI), genetic factors, and general well-being. Your dog is unlikely to be harmed by a few whole cherries. In any case, the story's lesson is to avoid taking unnecessary risks. Conclusion The sugar content in cherries and other cherry products is high. Although these fruits are tasty and contain valuable vitamins for humans and other animals, they should never be given to dogs. Even if your dog eats a fresh cherry, much sugar in his diet might cause him to gain weight and increase his chance of developing diabetes. Pet owners should be aware that instead of feeding their dogs human food, they should choose dog treats. Unlike some other foods, these won't cause your dog as much harm, and they will still be able to enjoy them.

#JamesDonaldson On #MentalHealth - Poverty, Societal Pressure, Major Causes Of #Depression, #Suicide – Experts
Tumblr media
By Godfrey George - Some #mentalhealthexperts have identified societal pressure, among others, as a major cause of #suicide in Nigeria. They urged members of society to be kinder to persons showing signs of #depression and other #mentalillnesses so as not to lead them to #suicide. The #WorldHealthOrganization had revealed that Nigeria has the highest suicidal rate among African countries with over 17, 000 lives lost to #suicide in a year. In a new report that estimated the cases of #suicide globally, #WHO noted that across the world, one person takes their life every 40 seconds. In 2022 alone, there have been multiple reports of suicides in Nigeria. Investigations have shown that there has been an upsurge in #suicide, especially among young people in the last 24 months. Reports reviewed by Sunday PUNCH showed that no fewer than 74 persons died by #suicide within the period under review. Reacting, a senior lecturer, Department of Psychology, University of Nigeria, Nsukka, Enugu State, Dr Johnbosco Chukworji, said the economic situation in the country has pushed a lot of #youths below the poverty line. According to him, this has made many #youths confused and depressed, noting that these feelings may culminate in #suicidalthoughts if not handled properly. - “The economy of the country is a major factor. There is poverty in the land and this has caused a lot of people to be confused about life. Sadness, which may compound into #depression, is the case if left uncontrolled. “Society is also not helping with the many pressures on every side. Many #youths are under so much pressure to make money quickly. #Socialmedia is not helping. I feel that society should be kinder to these #youths. “When they begin to show signs of #depression and #suicide, family members should draw them close and show them love. Society should be more accepting and individuals who suspect any of these signs and symptoms listed above should visit any of the many psychotherapists that are in Nigeria and run an assessment for as little money as one can use to get lunch,” Chukworji added. #James Donaldson notes:Welcome to the “next chapter” of my life… being a voice and an advocate for #mentalhealthawarenessandsuicideprevention, especially pertaining to our younger generation of students and student-athletes.Getting men to speak up and reach out for help and assistance is one of my passions. Us men need to not suffer in silence or drown our sorrows in alcohol, hang out at bars and strip joints, or get involved with drug use.Having gone through a recent bout of #depression and #suicidalthoughts myself, I realize now, that I can make a huge difference in the lives of so many by sharing my story, and by sharing various resources I come across as I work in this space.  #http://bit.ly/JamesMentalHealthArticleOrder your copy of James Donaldson's latest book,#CelebratingYourGiftofLife:From The Verge of Suicide to a Life of Purpose and Joy A senior #psychologist and researcher at Remz Institute, Uyo, Awka Ibom State, Usen Essien, on his part, said due to low awareness of #mentalhealthissues in Nigeria, #stigma had become a problem for people battling #depression. “Battling #depression in Nigeria is not easy at all. There are a lot of dimensions to it. Apart from the #financial dimensions, there is the social dimension that deals with #stigma. “When these individuals suffering from the condition go seeking help, they do not go to the right person. They begin by going to see a general medical practitioner or a religious leader who may not have the right answers. Everyone needs to help people living with #mentalillness heal by reducing the pressure and demands on others around them,” he added. Read the full article
