Your performative activism and moral outrage has killed people and will kill more. People make mistakes — it’s human. It’s human to fuck up. But people are so focused on the idea that everyone must be perfect that they’ll immediately take delight in tearing someone down rather than giving them a second chance or reforming, devolving into harassment campaigns. Callouts can also have screenshots that have been cherrypicked to frame someone. I don’t mean to be the “There’s a person behind that screen” guy but the anonymity of the internet provides an avenue to spread hate and fear against people who don’t deserve it.

random reminder for those interested in reading the bad guys books but don’t have the means to access all of them (which is understandable, especially given how long the series is) that they are available for viewing for free on youtube (this link goes straight to a playlist of them) thanks to a dedicated individual who’s essentially made fan-created audiobooks of them (which btw the voice acting’s pretty fun & impressive given that it’s one guy doing all the voices). they’re HD digital scans (not someone taking pictures of their physical copy), there are no watermarks or cropping that would affect one’s ability to read them. overall it’s undoubtedly the most accessible option for these books so if you’re interested in reading them & haven’t yet for one reason or another, definitely check out that playlist.
