Star Trek: Series Ranking

I can say with no shame, that I am a trekkie. My dad watched it as a kid, his father watched it as a young married man (back when you had to watch one episode per week). It is a family legacy. Before the streaming wars made content its “pawn of separation”, Most of the star trek TV series and films were on Netflix. I decided to watch all of them (listed here, there are more than this out there) and rank them: 

My Ranking: 

1) Star Trek: The Original Series: Nothing beats the original. I love the newness of this series-the old school way of doing things. This also shows the true origin of some of the now iconic Star Trek ideals, like live long and prosper. Amazing how something goes from “Well I am an alien, maybe I should have specific way of doing things” turns into a bumper sticker you would find on a trekkies car today. Also, I have to say, DAMN KIRK-you look good. And the uniforms get better the more formal the event is ;) 

2) Star Trek: The Next Generation: As far as anything beyond my favorite goes, I love the captain here. The cast is diverse, like any star trek cast. Data is also one of my favorite characters in the star trek universe. If I lived in the star trek universe, based on my personality-I would either be a betazoid or vulcan. Picard though, is his own man, but carries on the legacy of how a captain should act (left behind by Kirk). Some of my favorite episodes here are the flash backs they do. 

3) Star Trek: Voyager: Seven of Nine is a very very very close second to Data as one of my favorite characters. The Borgs, villains in this series, are a very very good villain. I first watched this out of order, but watching it in order was awesome. Neelix grows on one too, and a female captain before the age of “because I am a woman I am a feminist” was bold. Tuvok is one of the oldest vulcans to show in this universe, and a full vulcan (compared to spock who is half vulcan). The holographic doctor is amazing. Chakotay is also an interesting add as original star trek doesn’t really touch religions (as much as the federation feels like one sometimes). But he uses his in their crazy story of “how the heck do we get home before we retire” from going out on their first mission.  

4) Star Trek: Deep Space 9: This is one of the more recent ones, in real life and in the star trek universe. And the way I am wired, I don’t tend to like new stuff....even if it is star trek. But you see the white dude in this photo? He is from TNG, with Worf from the same series eventually joining. Now, I know that “we go on one mission and it takes us 7 seasons to get home” can’t be better than life on a space station right? I thought the space station would be better, or even safer than a ship in motion right? NO. The amount of times they are in trouble is insane, and if you asked me to live there...I would do so for a SHORT amount of time. It is nice to see more into cultures like Ferengi, Trill, and Bajor. But the best parts of this play off of things already developed in universe. The changelings are the villains this time. 

5) Star Trek: Enterprise: This looks older, older than TOS right? It is supposed to be. It precedes all other series mentioned but is filmed in the 2000′s, after DS9. You have mostly humans, vulcan, and the doctor is denobulan. The show had to have “star trek” added to it after the fact, and it also plays off of anything already built in universe. Like, the prime directive at this time does not exist so they go through adventures which shape the “prime directive”. Same idea for First Contact, ship design and features. The premise of “how did all the rules come into play” is a very good one, the same way that how does Voyager survive in the wild wild universe. Execution feels weird to me, like in later years the mind meld is used very freely-here its a thing that vulcans “on the edge of society” do and if you participate in it, you get shunned by vulcan society. 

By the time this will have been posted, Star Trek would have left netflix. No plans to watch the modern series. I also have all the movies in DVD format, and will watch and rank those!

You went right into Auston’s arms when he walked out of the dressing room after the game. You smiled at him and he held you close, a smile playing on his lips despite the fact that you weren’t wearing his jersey. His #34 that you usually wore to his games replaces by the jersey of your favourite player.

“You’re not mad I scored on your team?” He asked with a chuckle.

“Not in the slightest.” You replied, looking up to him with dark eyes. Auston had scored twice and picked up another two assists in the game against your favourite team and he looked amazing while doing it.

You weren’t mad, you were turned on.

Auston licked his lips and put his hand on your lower back, walking you down the hall towards the exit. He leaned down towards you as you walked, brushing his lips against your ear. “I don’t think you’ve ever looked at me like that before, Babygirl.”

“I don’t think seeing you play has ever done what seeing you play tonight has done to me.” You replied softly, leaning further into him. You felt his grip on you tighten and you guys couldn’t get to the car fast enough.

In the car, Auston only spared you only one look before he started the car and headed back to his place. The car ride was silent and Auston drove while white knuckling the steering wheel. You looked over at him and bit your lip before moving your hand over the center console to his thigh.

Auston’s grip on the wheel tightened and you moved your hand up on his thigh, returning your eyes to the road.

“(Y/N),” Auston breathed. “What are you doing?”

“Nothing.” You replied softly, not looking at him. If it was possible, Auston drove home faster and before you knew it, he was pulling into his driveway.

He turned the car off before covering your hand on his thigh and pulling away. “You just couldn't wait till we got home, could you?”

You bit your lip. “Can you blame me?”

Auston licked his lips. “I thought I told you to watch that lip, Babygirl”

“Fuck.” You breathed before grabbing his shirt and tugging him towards you for a kiss.

He didn’t hesitate at cupping your cheek and kissing you deeply. You moaned into the kiss and lazily reached for the car door to get out. Auston pulled back from the kiss with a smirk. “In a hurry are we?”

You let your own smirk crawl across your lips. “A girl wants what a girl wants.” You started kissing along his jaw to his ear before whispering to him. “And I want you, Auston.”

He groaned softly and closed his eyes for a moment before pulling back to take the key out of the ignition and opening his door. “House. Now.”

You couldn’t agree more and hopped out of the car before jogging over to him and jumping. He caught you easily and you tightened your legs around his waist before pressing your lips back to his. Auston’s hands moved to your ass as he kissed you back and stepped towards the front door. You pulled back from the kiss breathlessly and tilted his head slightly to gain access to his neck before leaving open mouth kisses along his throat.

Auston groaned softly and pressed you into the front door. “As much as I like this, we need to get inside first, baby.”

You nipped at his neck then kissed back up to his lips. “You're right.” You kissed him deeply, threading your fingers through his hair and giving it a light tug. “We really do need to go in.”

He kissed you again, pressing you harder against the door as he squeezed your ass. You moaned and tugged at his hair harder, reluctantly pulling away from his lips and breathlessly resting your forehead against his. “Baby, if we don't go inside right now, I'm going to make you take me against this door right here for everyone to see.”

Auston groaned lowly and leaned down to nip at your neck, his teeth running along the soft skin of your throat. “Don't say shit like that because I will. Let everyone know that you're mine.”

“Please, Auston.” You begged in an almost whiny voice as you tried to grind your hips down against his for friction. “I need you.”

“I’m going to take care of you, I promise, Babygirl.” He breathed and pulled one of his hands off you and turned his attention to the lock, taking a few tries before he could get the door unlocked and opened. He carried you inside and dropped the keys on the floor, closing the door and pressing you against it again before pressing his lips back to yours.

You inhaled sharply from the contact with the door but quickly kissed him back just as feverishly, gripping his shirt tightly. He moved his hands up under your jersey as he rocked his hips against yours. “I don't like it when you wear another guy’s name instead of mine.”

You moaned softly at his action, pressing your core into him the best you could. “Maybe you should do something about that.”

Auston didn’t hesitate to push the jersey up your body and over your head before tossing it to the side. He bit his lip and let his eyes run down your body before rocking his hips back into yours. “Much better.”

You slid your hands down his chest and under his shirt, pushing it up. “You have too much on.”

He leaned back enough to have the space to pull his shirt off and tossed it aside before pressing his chest against yours and leaning down to kiss down your neck. “I still think we're wearing too much, but I don't think any more can come off in our current position.” He laughed softly against your skin before lightly dragging his teeth across it.

You tilted your head to the side to give him better access, bucking your hips into his when he hit that one spot on your neck. “Put me down.”

Auston sucked a mark onto your neck and you tried and failed at holding back another moan before he put you down, his hands staying on your waist. Back on your feet, you reached for the buckle of his pants, undoing it quickly and reaching your hand inside past his boxers, gripping him. He bucked into your hand with a groan and moved one of his hands to rest on the door behind you. “Fuck, Princess.”

You smirked and looked up at him through your lashes as you gave him a few light pumps. “You like that, baby?”

He groaned softly before biting his lip. “I'd like that tight pussy of yours more, and I know you would too.”

You swallowed at his words as you pumped him harder and kissed his chest. “I'm wearing a few too many items for that still.” You whispered as you kissed back up towards his neck.

Auston grabbed your wrist and pushed it off before pushing you back against the door, his fingers going to the fastenings of your jeans, opening them and pushing them down your legs. You gripped his shoulders to keep balance and kick them off your legs.

“Better?” He asked.

You crashed your lips back to his for a moment before pulling back just a bit to whisper in his ear. “Fuck me, Auston.”

He groaned softly at your words and pressed his lips back to yours before pushing your panties aside and running a finger through your folds, groaning softly against your lips. “Fuck, Princess, you're so wet for me.”

You gripped his shoulders tightly, moaning loudly. “Fuck, baby... Only for you.”

Auston pushed two of his fingers into you with a smirk. “That's right, only for me.”

“Oh god!” You gasped and bucked your hips into his fingers, searching for more. “I need you Auston, please.”

Auston nodded and pulled his hand back, keeping your panties pushed aside with one hand while gripping his dick with the other and lining himself up with your entrance before pushing in with groan. You dipped your face in the crook of his neck and dug your nails into his shoulders with a moan. “Fuck.”
