you know with the recent popularity of lost film goncharov (1973) i hope more people come to appreciate ambrosio (1968), minsky (1970), and two of everything (1999). i know a lot of marissa marcel fans have been talking about them for years, but they’ve always been super hard to find and i’d only ever really seen little clips before 2022 when a video game studio got ahold of them and released them on steam in one game. (also, if you have netflix, you can get in on mobile through the app store!)

i will say it’s a little hard to scrub through the clips out of order, but i like the tradeoff of getting to see the entire filming process and marissa is SUCH a good actress. i really hope we find out where she vanished to someday!

#digital #immortality 2022 #a little practice with just 5 values. its relaxing to do that i find #if youre studying things it helps to start small first. i tend to forget that and start with massive canvases right away #because otherwise it doesnt feel like its enough to share. its a tricky urge!#its good to learn how to work up to things and to not jump into massive projects with no preparation. im still trying to learn that...#anyway. this is clumsy but i think it still looks interesting and that's what i am always trying to do!

this scene in IMMORTALITY (2022) makes me insane bc, before that we see how the crew is setting up the cut from it being a painting of the virgin mary to it being matilda in the next scene as if she manifested out of thin air and THEN you notice how you can rewind the scene and when you *do* the scene pulls the same trick on you you just saw being set up for matilda, and it hard cuts from matilda into The One, like, their minds were huge for this
