Hellow!~ I just want to mention something a lil detail that I love about Myachel (not only the VN and the story cuz aa just drive me crazy <3 ) but is his Nose! I Love that he has no ''aesthetically pleasing'' looking one, he has an Upturned nose wich sadly in the world of fashion is not considered 'pleasing' but he is Breaking it ! Myachel is so handsome and without following any beauty standard wich makes him feel more real (in a way) <3 Sure sure he is a type of Myconid and stuff but like his design is still humaine. Im happy to see artists giving more variety to small but iconic details such as the nose and hope these would inspire others to try it and not being scared of drawing them :DD (im just tired of seeing the anime dot noses or plain Nothing ^^; ) Ok and for the question: I bet Myachel has seen other places of the world in books from the library, Does he wishes to visit one or more of them? like Beach, Mountain, Desert, Or maybe a city?

Aw this is so wholesome 😭😭❤️! Sometimes I do feel like his sprites aren't the most conventionally attractive when it comes to visual novel love interests, but I wanted to keep them authentic in that; not everyone is gonna find him attractive! And that's okay!

In fact I find it super interesting when people talk about others not liking his design, it really serves the whole 'ugly monster' narrative some merit haha! So thank you for sharing your thoughts on his little nose, I'm sure he'd be happy to let you boop it.

As for locations he'd love to visit, he's actually been to a few places! Beaches, mountains, maybe not the desert though, but he's definitely been to cities! He'd love to visit a fun fair though but the crowds and loud attractions/rides make him nervous. 💔

its 2am and ive had the misfortune of, as per usual, seeing people call tsumugi aoba ugly and well i simply cannot let that slide. So im here to be annoying about it

FIRST OF ALL. neither natsume nor eichi (the only two charas i can think of that have dissed his appearance) actually think hes ugly. in natsumes case its him being tsundere about it and he actually really likes mugis hair, and in eichis case he just thinks he was alot more attractive without the glasses and with shorter hair. which brings me to my SECOND POINT

THIS IS LITERALLY A BISHOUNEN STEREOTYPE. when generalized and stereotyped, a bishounen can be described as an "androgynous (by western standards), tall and slender male with angular features and flowing locks." ofc, they all look very different, but u guys have heard of the root of this trope by now right? björn andrésen?

WHERE HAVE I SEEN THOSE FEATURES BEFORE!!!!!!! the droopy eyes?? the curly hair????

the whole DEAL with tsumugis character is that, genetically speaking, he is VERY conventionally attractive. hes got many of the desirable traits in japan, the PUNCHLINE HOWEVER is tsumugi DOESNT REALIZE/CARE ABOUT IT. people tell him that cutting his hair would make him more attractive but tsumugi doesnt want to! hes growing it out for a reason! and people also tell him that hed be more attractive without those big bulky glasses, but he has poor eyesight and theyre convenient! and he also cant be bothered to get new ones! LIKE ARE U GUYS SEEING THE APPEAL. ITS LIKE ONE BIG BIT. GUYS ITS A JOKE THEYRE MAKING A JOKE. A GUY GENETICALLY BLESSED TO BE THE MOST BEAUTIFUL BOY AND HE JUST DOES NOT TAKE ADVANTAGE OF IT AT ALL. SAME FACE SYNDROME: THE CONSEQUENCE OF ANIME

so this is something i’ve been wanting to talk about for a while. i’ve been seeing tutorials on how to stop having “same face syndrome” (aka always drawing the same face) that just rehash the same anime-style faces but with slightly different facial features. but a lot of these tutorials just… don’t work. and here is why:

you are not going to be able to draw different types of faces if you only draw young, attractive, androgynous anime people. im sorry but its true. if your only human subjects are literal cartoons, then your same face syndrome is not going to get any better. even if you’re tweaking the facial features a little bit, if you dont study real peoples faces (people who havent been photoshopped or airbrushed!!!! unedited human faces!!!) your art is not going to improve in the facial category.

well, then, how DO you get rid of same face syndrome? the answer is actually quite simple: stop trying to make everyone conventionally attractive. its true! stop only drawing people who are smooth, young, symmetrical, beautiful models.

you should try to draw people*— draw people that don’t look conventionally beautiful, pretty, or cute. draw people that are old. draw people of all different races and ethnicities, from all over the world. draw people with different body types. draw people with birthmarks, acne, wrinkles, scars, lazy eyes, crooked and yellow teeth.

also, if you use the face guidelines below for starting drawing faces, try to put the eyelines, noselines, and mouthlines higher or lower (closer or farther apart as well).

trust me, if you start drawing people from real life (again, not edited pictures, especially not faces covered in makeup to hide their features)? you will quickly find your same face syndrome disappearing. please stop only drawing cute anime twinks Please

also here are some faces to sketch or take inspiration from. observe the natural variations in the human face ^__^

*i am not saying that people with the features i mentioned are ugly. im saying that the people you draw should not always fit the conventional cookie cutter beauty standards, and thats a good thing!

my moms rewatching shrek and im remembering all the dumb memes and honestly? we were right. shrek is beautiful. but we made him conventionally attractive. we failed shreks natural beauty with filters. and along with that, it also makes me think about fiona and how she had such an issue with being an ogre, calling herself an ugly monster, but honestly, im glad they let her just. be herself in the end. im glad that, even when shrek turns into a human, he still retains his body type and actually resembles himself as a human and not something completely different. i really like how they portray it all its really good.

If memory serves, the stereotypical "anti" artstyle tends toward, if it's realistic, performative, cutesy ugliness. For one example: there's a particularly infamous Doki Doki Literature Club fanart that gave all the main girls stereotypical Japanese features and very yellow skintones in the name of going "see? I can make them realistic-looking/ugly. That's body-diversity, right?" Except I find all it does is reveal what the artist thinks is ugly, and I gotta ask what that does psychologically to people who actually have those features (especially when said artists use commonly non-white features).

Not to say more proship artists have flawless art but given that a lot of them also draw smut, they tend to 1) have more confidence in their anatomy skill and 2) a lot of them aren't afraid of making characters who aren't conventionally attractive look good while keeping their interesting designs. I think a lot about how fat characters drawn in an anti artstyle tend to be blobby and inoffensive (usually in a cutesy way. Can't go """fetishizing""" anyone (read: depict someone in any light that isn't clinical)) where fat characters drawn by proships look like people, and attractive regardless of size

Your OCs are very beautiful to look at. By which I mean they are extremely ugly. If showed them to random people on the street most of them would go ew. They are extremely strange and unconventional. Sometimes even inappropriate. Truly horrid subject matter surrounding most, lots of weird implications. And that is beautiful to me.

(P.S Sorry if this came off as insulting. I only mean they don’t meet typical beauty standards, and are wonderfully real in the details of their design)

no this is exactly what i'm going for you are 100% correct and i'm glad you've picked up on it :)

im not going for Popular Standard of Beauty when it comes to a lot of them, to the point that a character of mine being notably conventionally attractive is lowkey a sign that they might be evil haha.

what i'm going for when it comes to a lot of them is the most gorgeous creature, monster, or beast you've ever seen. or something ugly, or feral, or when it comes to my human characters just not conventionally attractive. partially cuz its more fun to draw and partially cuz it means more to me (and i know it means more to other people too, cause I've had people tell me they're happy i represented them) than drawing like. idk. a thin white woman.

and partially because I do just genuinely find them gorgeous. like, what is there to be enamored about a fashion model? i don't mean this in like a "pretty people are ACTUALLY the ugly ones ooh im so enlightened" kind of way I just generally find them uninteresting to look at or draw.

and like, my worldview is very heavily based on seeing the humanity in monsters and seeing the way society demonizes me and my favorite people- so it's not really any wonder i design my characters this way.

that being said- i definitely think i can make them MORE conventionally unattractive. i think i'm not going hard enough tbh. though part of that might just be because my art style is too simplistic to really hammer home some of the smaller details (like Caseys acne) but we'll see.

ANYWAY sorry for the rant, the point is: thank you!! and thank you for giving me a chance to ramble hahafhsdfhasf.

side note: once one of my younger cousins asked me why i was drawing a fat person and i said cuz fat people look cool and he was like "no!! fat people aren't cool!!" and i was like "actually, yes. I like them." and he just stared at me and then left.

sorry imma vent abt my ed recovery so tw and all that

i was anorexic/bulimic for about a year when i was 14/15. i recovered on my own without therapy or relly any kind of support and somehow got better. im actually quite good with intuitive eating now and i wanna start working out cause i wanna be strong but i haven't found the time nor courage to do so but thats besides the point. im recovered, for the most part

anyway, important context is that im fat. i've always been "bigger than other kids", and i've always been insecure about it but held the belief that one day i'd get skinny and thus conventionally attractive and then my life would be good because fatphobia. i developed an eating disorder due to many factors including some shit w/ my abusers bc it was the same time i was beginning to actually leave and escape which is a whole mess i can't get into now. anyway a main reason is my mom used to be super fucking skinny and was always kinda fatphobic towards me and body shmed me a lot. combine that witch puberty and an investigation into my dad nd stepmoms treatment of me by social services and you got the perfect breeding ground for an ed

im 18 now, i've been ed free since 2021 and i feel good. however i've noticed my perception of myself is warped. dont wanna get into numbers too much, but im currently about 30-40kg heavier than i was when i was the sickest which is bigger than i've ever been and i've noticed i feel ugly. i used to bodycheck constantly but the last 3 years its been a struggle to take a selfie and its because of my size. i did a play the other day and im watching the filming of the performance and just seeing how big i look makes me feel fucking gross. it made me realized im not recovered, bc i still hate my body and how it looks which isn't good for me.

i've realised im still fatphobic. i think fat people are beautiful but i can't accept my own fatness and it's a problem

i'm fat. i've been scared to say that my whole life bc my stepmother is fat and i was always so much smaller than her but i haven't seen her since i started recovering. i'm fat. and i don't feel beautiful and it's a problem bc i know that i am. i guess it's just hard to adjust to seeing myself as both big and beautiful, and im not there yet but i really want to be. admitting that im fat is a big part of it i think. i'm tired of saying "big" or "curvy" or "thick" im just fucking fat and thats fine. i'm fat. i can be beautiful - i will learn to be fat and still feel beautiful not in spite of it but because

first of all, i am glad you agree! i believe in beautiful style supremacy.

i just think whereas stan is like commercially and cosmetically beautiful, like in terms of like celebrity, supermodel, break your neck looking at him on the street, boy next door pretty. (aka conventionally attractive in a way that is indisputable, i think, like That shockingly stunning...also he hates it more than anything in the world smh )

kyle is definitely a more ethereal renaissance painting, sort of elfish/fae like, looks kind of like a timeless museum statue like high cheek bones, prominent nose, pretty red hair, hes attractive in a feel like a less conventional way but is still spellbindingly beautiful as a muse...also kyle thinks hes ugly i want to die ( spef. human kite kyle )

so obviously kyle is an alien and as such i feel like the pigment of their skin is not a natural...human color. so i was thinking about shades of the sky and i was thinking about the teal jumpsuit so i settled on blue!

so to me, in alien form, kyle has blue skin ( sort of similar to mystique in xmen i feel like...probably an interesting skin texture? ) and i think all of their freckles are actually white? so they look like little stars ;-; their entire body just looks like beautiful night sky or blue sky with tiny clouds/sun spots...theyre like a living painting.

however...they are...insecure abt it but when kite visits stan and stan likes them more and more he says theyre really beautiful <333 :') ( them and their frecks ) and that he tells his super best friend, who is anxious abt their freckles that they look like constellations but that kite really is like The Sky haha

( i think it’s funny when secret identity stan and kyle talk abt eachother in human form to kite and shed haha )

--sidebar, but i think that ky might have some sort of kite alien birthmark to represent the kite imagery, but its hidden ofc ofc

so i think kyles one regret is that they missed stan getting struck by lightning but risked alien form flying him to the hospital, concealing him in the kyle cloak and set him on the steps of hells pass...they could have prevented it and it haunts them everyday bc stan almost didnt survive...kyle does not know it gave him powers however smh

they also practice both judaism and kite theology ( but venturing to that church or getting caught w/ their alien torah essential is dangerous and could get you suspected as an alien and killed :( )

but racoon and friends is for like the shady odds and ends, the social pariah/outcasts who society doesnt like/dont fit in, like racoon!cartman is literally a raccoon person, mosquito i think does have a crazy pointy nose situation/maybe is some sort of bug alien...captain diabetes is medically compromised/weak...kyle is an alien...tolkien used to be racoon and friends bc he was a cyborg but realized evil was not the way...him and timmy switched over...

tldr: public perceptions in my weird tfbw universe ( wip )

humans: "good" ( ew )

humans with mutations that dont effect how you look: also good

human-mutants with strong powers that appear human/conventionally attractive: extremely good, worshipped

humans with mutations that make you look inhuman ( extra limbs, unnatural skin color, scales cysts/growths, wings, fangs, tails, ‘monstorous’/scary deformities): bad, frowned upon

aliens, cyborgs, other species in gen: V BAD, might incite violence

r&f are villians but because they are against a society that hates them and therefore lashing out in a way that started out as vigilante justice, but is now becoming Evil ( cartman i think just likes chaos )

and freedom pals is just trying to keep everyone safe and i think there are varying tolerances for the members of r&f by fp ( not bc of their mutations but bc of the atrocities committed by r&f like suspending school buses over buildings, holding civilians hostage etc. ) so when mysterion presented the idea of a merger a lot of them said hell no!! im not working with those motherfuckers!!! stan included...but after spending time w/ kite is reconsidering his stance on the merger

i also...think the undercity is a wellkept secret/people think its an evil place and dont go down there...its hard to get down there unless u know someone to protect civilians living down there..so most people think its a myth, a bad place etc. fp included but now that stan has been hes like...ITS BLOWING HIS MIND OKAY HES LEARNIN SM

ok sorry i know my posts have been big on looks-based insecurities recently but like . i hate when conventionally attractive people try to relate about being ugly or smthn esp like when we are talking about kids photos i get everyone is insecure but like . i look at pictures of me across my life and think about how at pretty much every stage people felt the need to make fun of or criticize how i looked and like we are not the same . like i was an ugly “masculine-looking” chubby hairy kid who was by all conventional means at the time considered ugly as fuck and people bullied me for that and being gay from elementary through middle school . and then of course i developed a huge eating disorder that fixed fucking nothing one bc eds dont fix anything but also bc im just baseline considered by most people to be ugly so that didnt change anyone’s minds about me . like my ex regularly tweezed my eyebrows unasked because even somebody who was supposed to be attracted to me still had that baseline disgust with how i just looked naturally . my own family made fun of me for being chubby and having “caterpillar eyebrows” and some of them still make jokes about what an ugly kid i was from the ages of like 7-15 . idk im just sick and i hate when ppl try to argue with me that im not ugly or that they actually look WAY worse than me or whatever bc ive lived in reality and seen how people treat me stop trying to tell me im crazy and its been even worse recently obviously i just feel like so much of my life and happiness has been wasted and lost on hating myself and i just want it to be over already

Don't surround yourself with energy suckers

Let your emotions out when necessary

Its okay to be fun, loud, "dramatic"

Not always are you the problem

If you feel something but doubt yourself because the people around you disagree DO NOT LET TS GO!!!!

Always be a girl's girl!

Self care is personal so you don't have to do what other say

Usually when I overthink I write the opposing side of my doubts (I'm so ugly) then I grab a paper and write "im so gorg"

Its okay to not always feel up to par

Its okay to say no to friends if you're not in the mood to hangout

FOMO SUCKS AND IS HIGHLY UNNECESSARY

Don't wish to be conventionally pretty

Don't listen to tiktok "deer pretty" blah blah blah all these types of pretty. YOU ARE PRETTY NO MATTER WHAT, NEVER EVER EVER OVERANALYSE.

youre ten times more attractive to others than to yourself

if you dont wear makeup dont feel pressure to wear makeup. your face, your rules.

People hate each other sm these days its actually crazy :(

youre more than your looks.

dont. hold. beef. it is NOT worth it.

follow your intuition

not everyone likes you but not everyone hates you

dont use how many people are in your dms as your self worth or think it makes you better than others

you dont need subliminals, scripting, methods, states, meditations, tiktok, SATS, etc. to manifest. you dont even need to affirm 10k times, all you need is persistence.

never be too hard on yourself. when its time to be proud of yourself and celebrate, do just that

THINK BEFORE YOU DO. MAKE GOOD DECISIONS.

you dont need to be in a relationship to be happy

try not to gossip, it only brings drama
